Ordered from here last night. Nachos and hubby had fish and chips. Went and picked up our order 20 min later. The nachos were amazing! Some of the best I've ever had. However my husband was less than impressed with his fish and chips. The fish was very small and not a heck of a lot of fries. We will totally go back and keep trying out the menu.

Ordered through Doordash - prices were very good. Food was even better. We had the Toad Stool burger and sauces up chicken fingers. The burger tasted homemade and was very good. The chicken fingers were quite good as well. Will definitely sample some more items on the menu in the future.

Spotless place (even the washrooms) which is admirable when serving BBQ! Tables are outfitted with rolls of paper towel and a caddy of sauces. Staff was personable and made good recommendations for us. Noticed other reviews mention slow service, but not in our case on a Saturday afternoon. We had the prime rib and brisket sandwiches and chose green beans and mac n cheese as sides. The green beans with pork were just what I was hoping for. He loved the mac n cheese. We both loved the brisket and the Southern Sweet BBQ sauce. The prime rib is well done since the slices are smoked. Would have preferred a medium rare, but don't think it's possible with the way they make it. Still tasty. The banana pudding bowl is big enough to split and we liked it in spite of some shortfalls. Real banana slices were brown (somebody forgot to dip them in lemon), the whipped cream on top was a fake topping and the vanilla wafer on top was not crisp (softened in fridge). To make this better I hope they'll add the cookie and real whipped cream just before serving. Tip: the booths along the middle wall have outlets for phone charging!

Love the sauces that come with the wings and the home made ranch for the deep fried pickles is amazing. Quality beers and having barking squirrel on tap is a huge plus. Staff always friendly. It doesn't pretend to be anything its not, a relaxed, friendly place with good casual food.

WOW what a deal! Monday-Wednesday Wings and Beer combo! My wife and I picked up 2 of these and we ate a meal fit for royalty! Amazing wings, very good sauces and dry rubs and top notch “homemade hot sauce”! The fries were not so fresh although I’m sure takeout didn’t help with that. We would easily go back here again! 4 pounds of wings 4 tall boy domestic beer 2 large fry 2 ranch and 1 hot sauce 1 bag Carrots $57 after taxes MIND BLOWN DEAL!

I live 5 minute walk away, every single time me and my family has visited the restauraunt food has been horrible and is overpriced. We really want to support them since we're so close but time and time again it's just the same. Taking a look through others reviews and I'm appalled at how the owner responds, that's not how you keep customers!

Picked up wings and a poutine, wings were excellent, meaty and crispy. The poutine was on point. Price was a bit high that's why I gave it 4 stars. For 3 lbs of wings and a poutine it was over $50 for take out. Will definetly order from here again.

Food is a great improvement over previous 'brand' at this location just reopened over the weekend. Still the same friendly family running the restaurant but everything is fresh made instead of corporate mandate. May be a problem with the credit card machine, works on Visa but my MC was declined.

It has promise, but right now its terrible. We waited 1.5 hours to get our appetizers and we emded up only getting one of them. When we finally got our meal they were missing sides because it wasn't ready and it came cold and dry! Even the water tasted gross. The staff are very friendly and did their best, but slow and under staffed. We were there for 3 hours just waiting for service, our meals and the bill. If its still around in a year I'll try them again. Maybe by then things will be better.

The manager if the store was amazing. I did delivery and had to call back because all mine and my friends orders were wrong but the manager did his best to solve the issue. He personally redelivered the order that was wrong and was very understanding. The only way I gave this restaurant a two star rating is because of how quickly the manager took action. The kitchen in the other hand needs some help.

Hubby and I visited on a Friday night after the movies! I was a little reluctant to come for dinner because I was vegan, hubby vegetarian and was not sure whether they would be able to cater to us. Boy was I wrong! Not only did they have a new menu with amazing vegetarian options, but they went out of their way to create us vegan meals! (Onion rings, stir fry rice, crispy flat bread with veggie mock meat crumbles and veggies, amazing beer too) Infact they double and triple checked with us to make sure they got it just right! We were seriously happy to have stopped by for dinner and will do so again in the near future :)

I would give zero stars if I could. Had our order delivered with skip the dishes. Potato skins were undercooked, sliders were overcooked bricks, seafood pasta came with canned tomato sauce instead of homemade tomato pesto (there was no pesto) there were no scallops as advertised either. I also did not get the tiger shrimp as described. Instead I got rotten shrimp that almost made me sick when I opened the container and immediately threw in the trash. Disgusting. First and last time ever ordering from here.

Hey Cynthia Whyte. Your review of the toadstool is unfair and incorrect. When you made your post there was not a limit of 10 people. Doug Ford made it 50%. I’ve seen your other review and you are just as harsh. Do you know what a bad google review does for a business? Menchies didn’t open at noon so they get a 2 star review? Who do you think you are? I’ve read your other reviews and while the Toadstool was in compliance.with the capacity last week how do you explain all of your travelling during the pandemic? Everyone was supposed to stay at home yet you are eating at restaurants all over Ontario. You are the Google reviews Karen.

Bummed with the rebrand of this place. The service was always pretty slow here but now the menu is subpar too. Standard burgers (way overdone) and wings. Not a lot of option and the service is still crazy slow. The ONLY thing this place has going strong is the beautiful patio. It's secluded and quiet and lovely to have a beer and relax... As long as you don't need a quick refill.

I have tried to come here twice and every time it's closed. Once a half hour before close the other an hour before close. I work In the restaurant industry and we let people come in a minute before close if they want and we never close early.

This is around the corner from our house. I want to love it because it is so close but I've eaten here twice and both times I've been disappointed with the food. Seafood pasta for $16.99 needs some serious work. Sauce was awful, shrimp was tasty but really small and I looked for scallops but they must have been too small to see. I want to support local businesses. I've tried. I'm sorry but I won't be back .

I have seen some of the reviews and they seem similar to mine . Over cooked bruschetta, under cooked noodles and canned tomato sauce 4 pieces of frozen shrimp and scallops, my gfs meal said asparagus and she got CANNED green beans and the baked potato is at least 2 hours old . And the owner saying something about his main kitchen staff not working that day on other reviews . As a former chef there is nothing that makes me more angry then ordering overpriced food and getting the standard of Kraft dinner . I think the prerequisite for being on skip the dishes is that you are not allowed to serve above mediocre food . So sick of ordering food in this city.

Food was alright. We went during happy hour so they had 30% off apps. I've had better, I've had worse. It was a mediocre experience. They do have mushroom caps!! Which is super cool, because I love those and not many places have them anymore, but it only came with like 5 mushrooms, so I'm glad it was discounted, otherwise I would say it was not a great purchase.

Been going there for a long while for there famous chicken fingers arrived today to find they have changed to box frozen. We asked the waitress/bartender she says no longer make them they to long to make. So of course emailed them to insult me even more . He wrote to say for years we have the same care to make them. Nope Sisco boxed they were. Any way will never return we told so many people about those lovely chicken fingers. Now they too will not return.

We ordered from Skip tonight (never again!) and the driver delivered us the wrong order. I attempted to reach Skip but got no response. Called the restaurant and they realized the drivers mistake and initially agreed it was Skips issue but when I advised them of my issue with no response from Skip, this restaurant went ABOVE AND BEYOND to correct the problem. Not only did the restaurant remake the order, the owner delivered it himself to ensure we received it as quickly as possible. He was incredibly humble and apologetic for a mistake that wasn’t even theirs! The food was incredible and the customer service is by far the best we have had in any situation. Because of the owners actions, we will make every effort to order from here directly as often as we can. Great job guys and amazing food!

not order from here again. order 2 burgers on with fries and one from salad burgers were made wrong. one was to be a lettuce bun and came with a regular bun. the second burger had bacon and cheddar cheese added. was not cheddar cheese was processed cheese. also was only to be only ketchup buy came with pickles and onions and tomatoes. meat was dry and full of garlic, salt and onion. like they are trying to hide bad meat. fries were over cooked.

We order from here all the time! Food is always amazing regardless of what we order or whether it was picked up vs Uber eats. Pay attention to the deals of the week before you order as there are always specials going on. Staff and owner are extremely friendly. It’s by far the best place to go to for pub-style food in the area!

We love the food!! We prefer to get skip the dishes though as one of the main servers talk non-stop to other patrons, making it difficult to order another round of beverages. Too bad for the owner. Would likely have more customers if service was quicker.

One of the best burger’s I have had in a long time. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The gravy was excellent. Everything is home made right down the the bun the burger was on. You won’t taste food like this anywhere else. I will be back for sure. And to top it off the owner replies to every review. You can have a good chuckle while reading the reviews and eating the delicious food they make here. Sorry no photos it was to good to stop eating.

Kids menu a little deceiving could use some clarity as got charged for kids drinks separately when we ordered the kids meals but other then that we really enjoyed our experience. I had previously left this review which I had deleted as I tried to sort out the issue with the owner but since he has chosen to since ignore my messages I will repost my review. I also posted this review on a Facebook food review group where he chose to make fun of the way in which I order my food and then tried to report my review so that no bad reviews could be posted about the establishment. We went to Toadstool Pub for lunch today. To start we waited ten minutes to be seated. Not because it was busy. Because there were zero staff out front, as the hostess/waitress were in the back chatting away. We were actually on our way out the door once the waitress finally appeared. Once we were seated We waited a while to have our orders taken. Our food did come in decent timing. The food was alright. Fairly average. My husband had a burger and I had a Reuben. The fries were REALLY salty. Overheard another table say their beer was flat. If we lived in the area we’d maybe give it another shot but based on the service alone we wouldn’t rush back.

This is a great little BBQ joint. I've been there twice now. Once for drinking and watching a hockey game and once for a dinner date. Both times i was impressed with the service. TV's eveywhere you look so everyone can watch the game. Good size food portions and lots of deals. Will be back for sure.

I went in wanting to like the place, but it's incredibly overpriced, not a lot of food and not consistently good. The shrimp appetizer is over $10 and they give you literally 6 regular sized shrimp. Everything is just a few dollars more expensive than you'd expect without the quality that comes with the price. That being said, the staff was nice and there was a nice atmosphere to the place. Edit: As the owner stated the shrimp was half off, I was stating the regular price for those who don't happen to come on half off appetizer night. But since I'm editing I might as well add that the garlic bread was burnt and they forgot to bring another one until we were ready to leave and they also forgot to refill our drinks. Wasn't going to bring it up because mistakes happen.

Booked a reservation for 8 people weeks ahead of time, confirmed 45 minutes before our reservation time and when we got there our seating was given away and no other seating was available. Staff and owner did not care or do anything for us. Very poor, don't go here. Sorry TURD STOOL will never visit again

The food was disgusting!! Burgers burnt so bad they were inedible...got them recooked and they were just as bad. The au jus for the beef dip was a pale yellow and had separated chunks in it...also disgusting. I feel bad for the server who has to serve the food here. Worst restaurant I have EVER been to. I haven’t ate here tons of times, but I’ve been a customer for 3-4 years now, I have never once been disappointed by their food or service. Today I decided to have their shepherds pie delivered, it had great presentation for a delivery meal and it’s the best shepherds pie I’ve ever ordered from anywhere.
