Our quest for finding the best wings in Durham ended a few years ago when we tried the Crooked Uncle. Wait staff is fantastic, a pound and a pint are priced incredible and they have Buzzfeed Trivia. It is usually very busy but the staff go out of their way to find you a spot to sit and enjoy.

One tear with my friend to get wings, he highly recommended them the stuff was friendly and it seemed to have a bunch of regulars hanging out. Everyone was calling each other by first names. I found the wings to be super dry and they sucked in my opinion lol. Seems like a good place to go for a beer

As somebody new to the Oshawa area, I heard nothing but good things about the crooked uncle when it comes to wings. Unfortunately that’s where it starts and where it ends. I called them tonight to place an order for 5 pounds of wings. The person on the phone was extremely rude, and not willing to accommodate my order. I requested flats in multiple sauces. Satisfying their customers needs is obviously not at the forefront. They basically said they don’t want my business. If you want to have some good wings I recommend the courtyard in Courtice. Thanks! ***** Response to your response ****** Yes it was my fiancé who placed or attempted to place the order. I’m not sure how this is relevant. Customer service has no gender so I think you’re missing the point. And I am 100% certain it was only 5 pounds we were looking to order your special. As two of us can only eat 3 to 4 pounds and not 10. So again just to emphasize on future orders, make sure your employees are all about getting the sale if you know what I mean. Good luck and yes the courtyard has delicious wings and they are very accommodating. Lastly we were willing to pay extra for 5 pounds of flats and we did offer that. I do know a lot about wings and their consumers and I know that some only like drums in someone we like flat so it might be something you might be willing to look into going forward to increase your business.

Tried a number of things, including wings, taquitos, nachos and their Philly Steak sandwich. All were great. I was pleasantly surprised how good the Philly was (not a traditional Philly, but still very good). Wings were great, they come dusted. The Butter Buffalo sauce was on point, but next time I'll order those wings naked, better suited for that kind of sauce. Nachos again very good, includes chilli, a lot of places don't offer that.

It's ok, just a little confining for me. The people sitting behind us had their chairs so close to us there's no room to squeeze by. Not their fault, it's too many tables crammed together. The food and staff are great, it's just too small inside.

WARNING !!!! Do not go there unless you want food poisoning and an STD. Ate wings there, spewed out of both ends an hour later. Told the waitress they looked too pink and she told me to deal with it. Complained to the manager and he told me to leave. Brutal service, poor food. The clientele is sketchy to say the least. Save yourself the grief and go to a nice, clean place that appreciates their customers.

I ordered take out since you cannot dine in right now and was really impressed with 2 things; they sanitized the debit machine after each customer, as well as poked a few small holes into the packaging for the food. This meant the food was still hot, but didn't end up steaming up inside and ruining the taste or texture at all. Thanks for a great meal. The hype about the wings is completely valid. The sauce is good, the wings are cooked well and they aren't tiny little wings - they're delicious and a good amount of meat on every single one.

Crooked uncle has always been a favorite. Went recently with a couple girlfriends before bingo, and it didn't disappoint. The crooked skins, with a bit of zip are always tasty! The girls behind the bar are footbridge and efficient. Sports, and trivia always on the tvs, it's a great place for anyone. Unless,of course, you have a peanut allergy, they still do free peanuts and the shells go on the floor. Lucky for me, I'm not allergy so I can indulge!

Went in here today for dine-in with my friend. Ordered some wine. Started off with Calamari for appetizers. Found some good options on the menu for the mains. We ordered Pulled Pork Flatbread & Johnny B’s Lamb Burger. Both tasted delicious ???? The staff wee friendly and good service. They allowed only 10 people inside due to Covid situation. This place was clean and we noticed the staff were particular about sanitizing everything. Heard their wings are really amazing. Would definitely try them next time. Would recommend ????

The best wings within a 30 minute drive, hands down. And I've had wings at lots of places. The bar is very small but I've always been able to find a seat - just go a few minutes before Leaf games. TVs are great and in great spots, though priority is on football on Sundays or March Madness (though not over the Leafs), and I'm a hockey guy who would rather watch an NHL game even if it doesn't involve Toronto.

In fact I have everything good to say. - friendly staff, make you feel like family - wings: amazing (I didn't even know about grilled wings until I came here) - crab cakes: hand made from scratch, real crab, the best I've had - take away containers have holes in them so your food doesn't get soggy from steam Can't wait to go back and try something new from the menu. Everything we had was delicious and the chef's taste palate is spectacular. This isn't ordinary bar food!

Considering the bartender didn't pour the Guinness properly it was pretty good. The wings are a 3.5 star nothing to go crazy about but the price and deals make the wings a 4 star. The garlic parmesan are very salty but the tequila lime are excellent. Overall it's a good place for some afternoon beer and wings.
