I ordered two poutines using Uber Eats. They only bothered to include one of them in the bag. I ordered this to the hospital, where I have limited in/out privileges. Even if they sent a replacement, I can't go out to get it now. So I guess I'm just not having dinner today. Thanks for that.

Dont waste your money this is how clumpy the poutine is and this is after picking it up in the store getting home with it.... less than 20 minutes later.... That or they decided serving a dish that's been sitting out for hours is what thier paying customers are deserving of. Too bad all this hype about them being on breakfast tv etc. Dont believe everything they try advertise to you on tv for real.

Smoke's Poutinerie serves variety of tasty poutines which are reasonably priced. They are also open for long hours, perfect for late nights Aside from that, this fast food restaurant is accessibly located along King St. East. sorrounded by different stores for your other needs. The place is clean and their friendly staffs served our request quickly. All in all, I am satisfied with my poutines and would definitely be back for other varieties.

Poutine was not as upscale as expected. Minimal sitting space. Pulled pork was just put on top of regular gravy, so you don't taste the pulled pork with the fries. Very small amount of actual pulled pork for what you're paying for. Relatively expensive as burgers next door are priced the same.

Went in today to try the local "poutinarie " as it is called not too bad but I have to admit the selection is very limited when compared to where I usually go for poutine have to admit it wasn't all bad but after being a frequent visitor of the whistle stop which boasts 100+ types of poutine kinda disappointed however food was good in its limited selection.

Ordered a korean Bbq (beef) and philly cheese steak (beef) poutine with a special instruction to not have any pork mean in it as a lot of their item adds bacon to it. They sent me the order without any beef. When I called to inquire, the girl on the other end was very rude, and said they didnt add meat coz i said no pork. And it was my fault for writing no pork. I don't get how they do not add beef to a beef poutine because I asked for no pork meat in it. They blamed it on me, didn't even bother to rectify the issue and instead hung up on my face beacuse they are busy. Never ordering from there again for sure.

My wife got fresh fries for her poutine only because the kid behind the counter put the wrong gravy on her poutine, while I got the old stale cold fries. When I questioned him about it he assured me the fries were "still fresh". What a disappointment, when your whole menu revolves around french fries you would think all orders are made fresh. Shouldn't expect anything less from an Oshawa business.

Was sitting in the hotel deciding on what to have for supper for the night and decided to go with smokes since it was two doors down from the hotel I was staying at. Was pretty disappointed when I got back to the hotel room, paid almost $9 for a small box of blanched fried. BEST POUTINE EVER! I'm all for the classic fries, cheese curds, and gravy (which is offered here) but my new found love is the Chicken Inferno. This little diner is cozy. It's also next door neighbours with Smoke's Weiners, which i hope to visit soon. The staff are patient and pleasant, nonchalant even. They put you at ease, and are willing offer their suggestions if you don't know what to try.

Spent 50 bucks for a poutine and 2 large tater tots on UberEats. I know there are service fees and stuff so that is fine. So let's say 40 bucks for the food. The poutine was cold. Which I don't even really care about. It's Uber Eats so expectations have to be realistic. But to half pack the two large orders of tater tots which cost 9 bucks each. That was crazy. Literally worked out to 50 cents for each tater tot. Which are the basic freezer bag style tater tots. Anyways. I'm popping off because I'm hungry and this is just how I get when I'm hungry and ripped off.

I remember first coming here when it had just opened up. The smell inside was more than tantalizing, with something that was not only delicious, but nostalgic for me. Fond memories of Quebec poutine at the ski slopes came to mind and it was bliss. The poutine was perfect. The right gravy, the perfect curds, and fries of immpecable quality with that satisfying crisp texture. Today only one of those three things still holds true. Curds are still perfect, with an unmistakable squeek of freshness. Sadly it goes downhill from here.avy is more salt than anything now; a brown goo barely good enough for fries. And the fries... What happened? Why are they this soggy mess even after they are made "crispy" on request. And flavourless to boot. They might as well be cardboard. I will admit that this still is a much better poutine than what I can normally get in Oshawa. Closer to that salty-savoury mess that poutine is so wonderfully made to be. And the variety of flavours makes-up by leaps and bounds any shortcomings . I still would gladly order from their massive list. Like the pulled pork poutine or the spectacular perogie poutine. Unique flavours that catch my eye and keep me coming back here. I just wish the fries and gravy were better. Guess I have to search once again for that sweet Quebec poutine elsewhere again...

It's poutine. It's nothing special. Smoke's does it well and is open late so you can get late food. While this sounds great, it's actually a con. Go on a Friday/Saturday night and you get to deal with drunk people, fighting, and a very slow line up. I've had people arguing behind me who don't even know each other, waited in line for 15+ minutes, and had to weave through the crowd of drunks who hang put at front thanks to it's "Prime" location between the bars. The food itself is nothing special. It's literally a potato they try to make special. Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible either which is why it got 3 stars but still. Update: The last few times I've been here it's been much better. Increasing to 4 stars.

The franchiser directors must make the imperative decision to make a size that is 50% the size of the current minimum. Charge only ~20% less and people that may not return due to assumed waste or large portion inevitability will in fact come in pour l'entree de la belle provence Quebec! Only managed to check it out last week, was satisfied, and the front-end service was friendly and welcoming to talk to. Also noteworthy is their Brand Management: Stickers. Small Stickers. Big Stickers. So sticker fans, heed this note. Hipsters: no pins that I saw, but you could ask. Not sure what image the franchise is leaning toward i general terms.

The Staff were friendly but seemed to have trouble handling multiple orders. The food was your typical after last call grease fare. Tasty! I can't say anything about the atmosphere at night after the bars close because I went there during the day. They actively encourage the homeless population to use their washrooms and hang out inside. This may be off putting to some people when waiting on their meals or if you decide to eat in house. However everyone kept to themselves and It was relatively quiet. I've been to other Smoke's locations around the country and this place is in desperate need of renovations. The sign is so faded I had a hard time figuring out the place from across the street. The inside was pretty rugged and some of the chairs looked ready to collapse. Not a bad experience overall but I won't be going back.

Poutine was average, the place felt pretty empty due to no music and cold atmosphere. Seating area is pretty small and feels cramp, and the staff member working wasn't too helpful. However, the overall presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive. I really wish the fries on the Poutine weren't too burnt. Hopefully things improve during my next visit, but I'm glad to see a restaurant dedicated to serving Poutine!

Good customer service and my order was made within a couple minutes. Bought a Chicken Bacon Ranch Poutine. Poutine isn't the greatest. Curds were barely melted and really rubbery. Gravy was hot, but the fries were cold and old tasting. Too much ranch sauce. Barely any chicken. An okay amount of bacon was there, but they seem to add bacon bits too for some reason. 16.00 rounded up for a regular and it is not very big. Likely won't return because of the food.

Second time attending. My first visit was at a different location. The food was below average, which was disappointing considering it is a poutine joint. The fries and gravy both sucked and were very bland. The restaurant was literally freezing and the tables and benches felt like ice. The music was terribly loud. I ordered a pulled pork poutine... ate the pork threw the entire $10.99 poutine out. If you want mediocre food for a high price it's good. On the plus the staff who served us was a deluge, very polite and friendly.

Sure, you pay quite a bit for a poutine, but you never leave hungry. The food is delicious. I usually don't trust any food joint in downtown Oshawa, but I would go back here again and again. The quality is top notch right across the board. I had Smokes in Niagara Falls, and this one is just as good. Definitely recommend for a casual date

Not the best fries and gravy but the toppings make up for it because they are delicious. I reccomend the triple pork poutine. Make sure to get fries well done if you don't want them soggy and eat it when it's fresh. Service is a hit or miss. The first few times we went there was a woman working who was very helpful and sanitary (wore gloves). The last time we went there was a young man working who was friendly but he was texting on his phone while taking our order, and then went straight to making food without gloves.

Ordered the pogos through uber eats for pickup. When picked up I tried them in the vehicle with my girlfriend. Both mine and hers were still cold and partially frozen. He remade the food after I went in. But the second time we didn't stay infront of the store while we ate them. Tried to eat them and they were still frozen and cold in the center even though outside was hot. At this point I didn't want to go back again for a 3time. Uber eats refunded me partially. Just wanted to give the heads up for others looking at the pogos

I order poutine from this location regularly. I ordered after a while almost after a year...it was disappointing this time however not sure if anything changed like management etc. Ordered butter chicken less poutine and chicken inferno poutine. Former was lacking salt and fried cauliflower bits and cheese curds were hardly noticeable. Inferno chicken was good in taste however chicken pieces were not more then 2-3. I hope this to be a one off bad experience.

Ordered the traditional poutine. Excellent gravy, excellent fries and, unfortunately for me, excellent top quality cheese curds. Unfortunately because I'm one of those who dislikes the "squeaky", rubbery quality of the best and freshest cheese curds. I prefer the cheap imitation stuff that melts and gets stringy. I know, blasphemy, so be warned if you are not used to the real good stuff, because that's what you'll get at Smoke's.

Hello there, myself and my family were at this location on Wednesday Feb 28th/19 before going to a concert at the Tribute Center in Oshawa. There was one staff member working. The line up was to the doors at times. He was running from front counter to taking orders to the back making the food. I can not stress how professional this poor stressed, understaffed worker was. Even when a verbal fight was breaking out he handled himself so well. He calmly asked them to stop yelling, break it up. He apologized for the wait several times. This staff member deserves serious recognition.and deffinatly some well dereverd time off. I will be calling the location to ensure the manager hears about this in person. Keep up the great food & service.

Love this place great food and great staff. Only 1 issue. The thanksgiving poutine need to be available all year lol. Was there again Saturday night had my favourite triple pork with bbq sauce. The owner was working which is always nice to see and he made my fries perfectly (I like them crispy)

Good food, dont bother with delivery as i dont live far but the food was cold and it was crammed inside the box so when it arrived i went to pull a fry out and the whole thing lifted out of the box as a solid brick of poutine. If i order again, will definitely be dining in

I had the perogy poutine and it was to die for. The guy even swapped out the bacon for sauteed onions for me. The only issue was that there was only one person working at a regular meal time (it was about 6pm). He did his best but the wait time was very long.

I wouldn't even give this place one star it Worst service ordered a regular poutine and they served me cold uncooked fries with Turkey gravy for their thanksgiving poutine and when I asked for my money back or for the food to be made properly they refused only offering a cup of vegetable gravy. On top of the horrible service from both men working (cook and cashier), their entire store is filthy the tables are broken food all over the floors and walls it literally looks like they moped the floor with water from an outhouse.

I'm confused and shocked at the rave reviews of this place? The cheese " curds" were not even melted. The fries were tasteless and soggy. The gravy was bland. And my food was luke warm at best. The prices are steep for tasteless cold soggy fries. Won't be back. They could also tidy it up a bit as well

I have ordered from this location multiple times during quarantine(dont judge me, we love poutine). The service has been amazing. The employees are awesome. The last time I was there, I used the debit machine and the employee offered me hand sanitizer right away. Just thought it was such a nice and thoughtful gesture, especially during a pandemic. I was having a huge craving for poutine. My usual go to is Harvey's but this time I was close to Smoke's in Oshawa. I figured, why not go to the place that only does poutine. Boy was I wrong. I opted for the snack size traditional which came up to over $7 and for that I received soggy fries, very little cheese, and a small portion. Yes, I know it's snack size but for over $7 I expected more. I see from their menu that most of their regular poutine's are around $10+. At the end of the day it's still fries. cheese and gravy so why so expensive. It would have been more filling to go to Harvey's where I would get crispy fries, a decent portion, and it would be cheaper. Lesson learned.

The customer service was terrible. I showed up and waited almost 5 minutes for the attendant to come and take my order. There were a total of 3 people working and considering I was the only person in the restaurant, I don't see what the wait was. When he finally came around to take my order, he didn't greet me or even smile. He actually didn't say anything to be honest. Throughout the entire process, he kept staring at me and shaking the tip jar. He did this about 3 times before he gave up. I ended up ordering the bacon poutine, which took another 3 minutes for him to start making. They have an open kitchen so you can see everything they're doing, and for 3 minutes it looked like he was just zoning out. When I received my order, I was really disappointed. There were a total of FOUR cheese curds and a heaping pile of the greasiest bacon. The fries were undercooked and soggy. To top things off, the gravy was watered down, kind of like swiss chalet sauce, but worse. The "gravy" also has a ton of herbs in it so it definitely didn't have that traditional gravy taste that we all know and love when we think of a poutine. Overall I hated my experience. I definitely didn't feel like I was a valued customer and the food was nothing close as to what I would expect a poutine to be. I felt really bad walking out and seeing another guy waiting for service. I knew he was more than likely going to go through the exact same experience I just had. And for that reason, I'm never going back.

Smokes Pourtinerie was absolutely slammed on the early morning of October 27, 2019. The staff was more than calm and handled the customers very well with incoming issues. Uber eats was down on top of other delivery services. Customers were becoming belligerent as it was very early. Yet the staff remained calm and helped customers as best they could. I would recommend that the location gets more staff as per the high volume at night. Respectfully, A concerned customer of the staff members

Absolutely dreadful, my girlfriend and I came here today and ordered the vegetarian poutine, both her and I are vegetarian and have been for several months, my girlfriend is elergic to meat so she simply can't eat it. We got our poutine and started eating it when we realized this isn't the regular vegetarian poutine, I went up and asked if there sure it's vegetarian when the server realized it wasn't, my girlfriend got very sick and it ruined our night! We where no longer able to attend the generals game like planned on and spent good money on. When I was talking to the server after I told him she's elergic to meat all he said was "sorry man". This is a huge mistake and we will never eat here again. I'm very disappointed such a big mix up could happen. There should never be such a big mix up that causes an electric reaction in a food place! Would not recommend coming here if you have allergies. they simply do not care enough about them!

After spending 22 dollars and walking out without any food is never a good experience. We wanted french fries with guac so we stopped in the Oshawa store. What we received was 2 orders of fries drowned in gravy with next to no guac. We asked why it doesn't state anywhere on the menu the all orders come with cheese and gravy. The very young employee didn't know how to respond and says "that's the way i comes. " We say we don't want fries in a gravy soup as we just wanted guac. Very inexperienced with customer service. We payed to leave with only a sour taste in our mouths and no food. We will never return to that location.

We were here just not too long ago and spoke to team has such great flavours that the add to their poutine I get the cheeseburger one with bacon and hamburger on it and of course cheese. It is so tasty and so filling stop here are terrific they help you with your order they also make everything just right. If you want to try something that's out of the box from the regular poutine places try smoking poutine you won't be disappointed

We ordered 2 medium/regular sized poutines from the King Street location -- 1 was a traditional and the other was a pulled pork. We got them to go, and we spent at least 10 minutes driving before we stopped to eat. **The cheese curds were still whole chunks and cold** That is a travesty for a poutine place. Also: the guy who put together the food didn't eat poutine. That's like being a cop who doesn't practice at the shooting range. How can you know if the food you're serving is any good if you can't taste-test it yourself? This was my first experience with Smoke's and I will not be going back. I'll save my money for another local shop which has never had an issue with making things hot enough to melt cheese curds.

Pickup is not available due to people not picking up their food , I totally understand, but I tried to order food literally outside of the store , ask for a deposit for pickup, not every one should suffer from a few crackheads not picking up their fries, will not be back , decent service though. Ordering through skip and Uber eats costs much more , thus why I drove to the store
