Best shawarma and shawarma plate in town. Their mixed shawarma on saj bread is my go to -- their food is delicious, uses fresh high-quality ingredients, and their customer service is always top notch. I'd recommend them to anyone craving either shawarma or a relatively healthy and delicious meal.

Amazing shwarma!! Fresh and tasty wish I lived closer to eat all their food, if you're in Oshawa I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ????????????????????❤ excellent customer service fresh Saj bread and the mixed shwarma was one of the best I tried, loved that they had pomegranate sauce, definitely try some on yours!!

I always do my review based on three things 1 ) Food taste 2) customer service 3) Atmosphere bonus point for H&S 1 ) Fresh !!!!! Different !!!! Amazing !!!!!! Size is huge and I am a huge fan going forward. It’s different the pomegranate sauce was amazing. The bread was unique and freshly made. It was very good. 2) customer service, I called before I went there. I had few questions about food being halal and timing of location. He was very good respect and answered all the questions. When we went there he explained the wrap and very polite. Amazing service 3) we sat outside it was peaceful and good. Clean. Overall amazing experience no H&S issues. Very very good service and food. Keep it up. I will visit again Thank you ????

A home run for the mixed Shawarma plate, Kabab Beef plate and falafels! Marinated, spiced and cooked with so much love! Cardamon rice with the beef dish, pickled radish that has that tart kick, crispy yet fluffy and well seasoned falafels, smooth hummus and don't even get me started on the seasoning of the chicken and beef...omg the beef! Wow, just wow! Thank you chef and your team, I have found my favorite Middle Eastern resto since finding a place here. I felt transported to the Middle East, invited to a family's home for the most wonderful meal! Oh, and please never stop making that sweet cabbage and carrot salad/slaw...gave balance to the whole meal!

The food was really good. The shawarma is so big that I don't think one person can finish it. After eating half, I was full. It has lots of flavour, the meat is fresh and well grilled. The owner is very friendly and nice which goes a long way as many restaurants forget that positive experience is not just the food but it's everything from entering to leaving the restaurant. It's a takeout place and gets busy at times. I will definitely come here again even though it's far away from where I live.

I just came home to probably the best shwarma I've ever eaten. I love middle eastern food and I have had many shawarma's. I cannot believe this was my first time trying this restaurant! I am already craving my next one!!! Am super impressed!!! The service was also fantastic! This gets a five star from me!!!!

Reetaj is absolutely one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve ever eaten at and this is from someone who’s lived in Dubai for 20 years and I know the best of them. We ordered food for pick up for entertaining a couple of our Canadian friends who had never had Middle Eastern food before. I spoke to Hamza the owner and manager and told him that the food should not be spicy at all and catering to what I would call Western taste buds. We ordered kibbeh, falafel, chicken shawarma in Sai bread, beef shawarma plate, chicken kebabs, tabuleh, and it just went down so well with our guests. And, we ourselves loved the slightly different twist on the flavours- because Reetaj is really an authentic Syrian food experience and we discovered a whole new way of Middle East food done perfectly right. The beef shawarma plate was the super hit of the evening, but everything else was just so good as well. Hamza is an amazing host - starting With your first inquiry phone calls and then of course when you pick up your order or dining there he is just fantastic as a host. Middle Eastern hospitality is something that we are used to for so many years and Reetaj restaurant and Hamza take it to a whole different level. Great food , amazing service, generous quantity and good value for your money. I’m going back there again. Because, it was just a great evening, thanks to Hamza.

Attention all foodies: Finally an outstanding middle eastern restaurant in Oshawa!! Went there tonight and it was WONDERFUL! We are so happy to have found it after trying every other one around. Food was fresh, delicious, well-presented and generously served. Best of all, the price was fair and the person who served us was lovely. What a pleasure to have a quality, 'mom & pop shop' serving fresh, delicious, authentic ethnic food! It will be our new go-to. Definitely recommend!

Clean and very organize place but hate the white onions, it would have been more better if you they serve red Onions, also their dressing and Flavor are very flat, not too much flavor.... But overall nice place

My best order from this restaurant is BBQ chicken. The stuff are polite and friendly. Shawarma is good as well. I like the home made dipping souse they have. Worth it to try it out.

The owners of the place are super welcoming and caring . Even at meal rush times, they will always be working and serving with a smile on their face. There is such a wide variety of food, when going out with picky eaters there's always a delicious option that will satisfy each of them. Super duper people, super duper food. They have the most delicious falafel in toronto, and the yummyst mashawi. I will never hesitate to come over and over and try all their delicious meals.

Most authentic shawarma in the Durham region. The owner is so nice and friendly, really makes you want to keep on coming back. I usually get the chicken shawarma on saj bread and it’s under $10 and more than enough for 2 people since it gets cut in half. The hot sauce is made in house and it’s like nothing I’ve ever had before. I’ve also tried the plates here, the kabab plates are amazing (also good for 2 portions) and I love the little side of coleslaw. Support this place over Osmow’s/Lazeez and you’ll be supporting local business, saving money and eating real food.

I visited them today with my wife purely on basis of reviews. Having tried all other middle East food places in last few months in Oshawa I would say I wasn't impressed with what I had after recently moving to here from Toronto. Food here was so much full of flavours. I ordered Chicken shawarma saj and chicken shawarma plate along with something ( pardon me I don't recall the name of it) which had the filling of spinach.Lady managing it was so courteous . Thank you This is going to be my go to place now.

Have been getting the Mixed Shawarma plates from here for the past few months, and was super disappointed today. ???? The food was very messy today, the little bit of beef was on one side & the little (LITTLE) scraps of chicken was tossed over the rest of the plate. I'm not sure if they hired new guys, but we have never gotten such little bit of food (for $14-$17), & messy plate before. The tomato even seemed like it was bad, or going bad ????.

Hand slaughtered Halal middle eastern Shawarma place Very liberal in quantity and the food is good. Lot of toppings and varieties. It has patio setup as well. Fresh, hot and healthy food.

I stumbled across this place randomly while browsing local food spots in Oshawa. The one item that stood out to me the most was the Arabic Shawarma Plate. I thought? What is that!? How is it different that a traditional shawarma plate?? So, I decided to ordered it and see for myself. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with how the meal came and everything you see in the picture was includes (plus a pop). All the food was on point! How can you go wrong? This has been one of my go-to meals for quite sometime now. I am not sure if anywhere else in Oshawa offers this meal but if you haven't tried this ye and are a fan of shawarma wraps, you should give this place and this meal a shot! Great value for an excellent price. Hghly recommend.

5 stars all the way! Coming from a long line of shawarma restaurant owners and having consumed like a billion shawarma plates, I'll tell you this is hands down the best in town. Well at least the chicken, never had the chance to try the beef. The customer service deserves 6 stars, easily. Heavy portions, extra anything in abundance, and super friendly service with a smile. Its almost addictive! Days later I found myself craving it, but not any, just theirs. I dunno what they do to it, but it's sooooo goooddd!!!

First of all, it tastes great! They use this very gigantic and thin bread to make shawarma. They fold it many times so the wrap still holds its shape. I've never seen that before. Portions are great and they give generous amount of meat as shown in the picture. The owner (or the person working there) is great and pleasant. I'd like to say thank you to this place for being right here in Oshawa. Thank you. Oh btw, their hot sauce is really hot. But it's tasty good hot. I thought I could handle spice and I was wrong. Lol

This was my second visit to Reetaj and wow!! Better than my first visit! Easiest way to describe their Beef Shawarma Saj is flavour explosion! From the char on the beef, crispness of the veggies, toasted saj bread to their house made sauces. I nearly drove back from Courtice to grab another. I will definitely be back as this is my new go to for Beef Shawarma in the area.

Just moved from Toronto and were looking for a good shawarma place. Reetaj is incredible. The falafel are outstanding. Made fresh and not dry at all (like some places that is premade) and the shawarma was delicious. our new spot. We will be back!!
