I go here often. Food is pretty average for a diner, decent, good portions for the most part. some of the prices are a little high on some of the menu items. I see a couple reviews about nasty waitresses, but I've personally never had a problem. If you have an issue with your food they have no problem taking it back and making you new food. *edit* After seeing the signs around the place saying they are now open, they really havn't been. Called a few times to be told they are closed. Called again today, not open till one. None of t he signage has been changed to indicate this. Poor taste.

We ordered Johnny's through Skip. We wanted to try something other then franchises. We were pleasantly surprised but Johnny's! Great food, great service sizes, great prices and their pies are Heaven. Johnny's is our new favourite diner. Their customer service was outstanding. They call to make sure our meals were satisfactory. I Definitely recommend them!

I love the breakfast special before 9 am. I go with my girls at least once every few weeks. The other Johnny's has smaller portions and the service isn't as fast.

Only been to Johnnys a coypke of times. The food is good and lots of it. the service is fast but it is not the cheapest breakfast in town if that is what you are looking for. There is a reason Johnnys has been around for a long time.

Nicest staff and owner I've met. The owner is always around asking if people need anything and serving coffee. The first time we went he gave us a coupon for a free breakfast. The staff always remember us and always make us feel welcome. The food is simple but very good. Anything we've tried from the menu has been tasty and hot. It's our regular weekend treat and I've even started stopping by to pick up dinner.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered through Uber eats and the menu gave me the option to choose 13 sides. So I decided to get 3. Apparently, you’re only allowed to get one side even though you’re charged for every side and it gives you the option to choose more than one!! I then get a call and they were shocked I wanted so much food. Odd coming from a restaurant. I offered to only get 2 sides instead but I would’ve been charged the full amount. They wouldn’t even let me cancel the order even though they couldn’t fulfill my order at all. They just wanted more money for nothing. I got in contact with ubereats, they gave a full refund, and I cancelled my order completely.

My Husband and I love the food and friendly staff here. They always have fast service even we done out and willing to tweek any food requests we have ( my husband likes his home fries extra crispy). Always greeted with a smile. Great family place.

Yummy Grilled Cheese and French Fries - They have something called the ANGRY Poutine I want to try next time. The prices are a bit diff from the online menu posted - some cool new updates, but still very reasonable!

I just ordered food from them and I am not impressed I ordered steak on a Kaiser and had special instructions they didn't follow them the steak was dry I also ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap and it came with a couple pieces of chicken which were like rubber and almost a whole head of lettuce usually our food is great from there I order they're all the time not sure if I will be returning

The food was great. But the waitress was in a horrible mood really braught down the joys of having breakfast with my 9 month old son. Like if your gunna hire people Makesure those people have a great attitude towards customers. Today is Friday June 28 2019. 9:30 am. Not sure what her name is don’t even wanna bother to ask but she later middle aged and wears glasses. With a crabby attitude.

This is the food we got with our takeout, the owner refunded part of the meal but I was pretty insulted someone would pack this black toast up and send it. I know no server would dare bring food like this to a customer in the restaurant but I guess their takeout standards aren't the greatest.

I grew up going to Johnny's Eatery but unfortunately these days it's a little pricey. I'm glad to see them in business still though. I really hope the restaurant can consider some price revisions eventually, and garner some more business through social media. I know times have been tough for businesses.

We did breakfast here almost consecutively for 3 days. The people are really nice. Food prices are unbeatable anywhere in GTA. Food was great too!!!! We were pleasantly surprised by the location and ofcourse we will be visiting again!

I went there all the time. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Waiting until they open as a full serve again. I have gone for take out too I went back after they reopened and then we had lockdown again. I can't wait until they open for indoor dining again... I miss going there

Breakfast was good, my husband's was cooked perfect, I asked for medium rare steak to go with my eggs but it was a little overdone. The waitress noticed, and we weren't charged for my steak and given a complimentary free breakfast for our next visit.

Not as good as it use to be ... home fries were over cooked and over salted. Toasted western toast was over toasted and it only had egg ham and onion .. where is the green pepper and cheese??? Not happy with the sandwich or fries ... worst $10 I've spent in a long time !!!!

Great place for breakfast brunch. We tried their breakfast platter and everything tasted great. There is a great personal touch in the eatery and staff actually came up to us and talked with us about the food. It seems to be a very popular place. Totally a hidden gem. Would definitely go back there!!

I go for breakfast on my days off, nice breakfast deal, better than anywhere else I've been. The staff are quick to remember your face if you're friendly - even the kitchen staff. Always a pleasant visit, the staff let you be unless you talk to them so if you're feeling like being solitary you don't need to worry about talking much. I've been with family and friends and the service is always good, if slow when its very busy, but if you have any understanding of restaurants you'll know that's just how it works in general.

This is a place that I've been going to on occasion for years now, they have a good breakfast it comes out quickly they have an early bird special, eggs, with your choice of sausage, ham, or bacon, toast and homefries for $4.99, so if you're in before 9:30 Monday to Friday you can eat for $5 basically.

Wait staff is pretty good, unfortunately the breakfast cook can't cook eggs to save his life. Been there multiple times and get either burnt or raw if I ask for over medium. When mentioned I was told that I shouldn't comment to the cook as he would be mad. Rest of the meal ok.

Staff was great. Service was slow. Food was alright... Problem?? RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. ANY extras are overly charged, and many of those 'extras' are usually included in most meals places. 1.00 if you want some mayo for your burger type of thing. Upgrading or changing a side dish? Every single change will cost you.

Very personable ! I've been coming in for years, since my daughter was a baby. Awesome food ! The owner has grown to know us over the years. Even if it's been months since he's seen us. Whether or not my daughter is with me, he always asks about her. The waitresses are awesome and know their stuff. Friendly and efficient. Always neat and clean.

Waited a length of time for our food and the soup and salad as a starter came with the main course . But the food was homemade and served professionally. Water was $2.50 so I do not recommend the water. Coffee was cheaper.

My parents and I went to this place for breakfast. We got 3 breakfasts and 2 drinks as well as one pancake. They did not show thr total on the bill and it was really dead in there. The one waitress decided to charge us for an extra breakfast and who knows what else because they refused to let us see the bill with the price breakdown. Avoid this place unless you have money to spare to just give away. Also as soon as I finished eating I felt sick to my stomach. I guess a warning sign that this place is no good.

Ordered a just eat meal, sauce was spilled all in the bag, no condiments and my drink wasn't there. Not enough that it took an hour and a half to arrive, the drink is now taking an hour and a half to get here. A soda! The food was terrible, couldn't even eat the mushrooms. I have never felt so strongly about a restaurant before in my life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I can't understand how this restuarant holds a 4 star review...... The food quality is poor, the service was mediocre and the restaurant is in need of a good cleaning (especially the washrooms). My eggs Benedict arrived ice cold and it was returned to the kitchen to be MICROWAVED! this resulted in over cooked eggs and soggy "homefries". The hollandaise sauce tasted old and the english muffin it was served on was stale. No one at the table enjoyed their meal and the price was high considering the quality of the food. I definitely won't be returning and urge others not to waste any money at this very poor excuse of a restaurant.

Well the place smelled like stale smoke, not sure if was the restaurant, the customers or both. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. A man sitting and the Bar section in coat not eating or drinking had his mask under his chin. Then he got up and went back where the food was being prepared with his mask still under his chin. He was there for 7 or 8 mins and then came out and walked out of the place with his masks till under his chin . I think they need some lessons in virus control

Stopped by this lovely diner on our way home to Ottawa, ON after purchasing car parts from a local native of Oshawa, ON. Johnny's Jumbo Burger was delicious. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a great burger. The staff was highly hospitable. Thank you Johnny's Eatery for a memorable restaurant experience during our adventures.

Walked in and all we smellt was cigarette smoke. We asked for two chicken ceasar wraps to go as I couldn't take the smell. The server order chicken salad sandwiches in stead...ended up takeing over 30 Mins. The manager gave us 1 free breakfast which I left on the table as we will not be back at this location.... Terrible

My boyfriend and I both ordered eggs benedict and a drink each. We got cold 'homefries', the eggs benedict had watery hollandaise sauce, egg shells in the eggs... All this can be yours for $33. Would not recommend.

For a small local diner. The food is actually very good. We have had a few meals there. And each dining experience has been satisfactory with enjoyable dishes with good portions of halibut, liver, tastey burgers including a veggie choice. They serve a great poutine with a huge portion. Enough for two. Waitress staff have been very polite and accomodating. Although it could use new signage out front and a bit of interior updating, It's a qaint small diner.And an undiscovered one. Marland location one of our favorites for affordable good tasting food.

I've been many times and service was always good, but I came with a large group and it was very disorganized. Today being Christmas, I expected it to be busy, but we waited over an hour for our food, meanwhile tables who came in 45 minutes after us are receiving theirs. After waiting the said hour, our drinks were empty and not refilled, it was a bit disappointing for our group. It's also strange they don't have any baby changing tables in either male or female washrooms.

the prices are outrageous...bathroom smells very musty. Waitresses will complain behind your back the whole time your there IF you change seats before they even bring you any cutlery/drinks.For a diner setting the prices are over the top... One regular adult breakfast and a kids half order of pancakes with side order of bacon plus one coffee.....24.00 ????? Waitresses have no proper social skills either.... you do not ever tell a customer that they do not know the correct prices of that same food elsewhere in the same community. Will not go there again...period! Go to the other Johnny's instead folks.

Not the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet but nothing wrong with a $2.99 three-egg breakfast even if the potatoes would not qualify as home fries; frozen discs that were seriously undercooked with no seasoning. It was worth a try anyway. Servers wore masks but one cook did not in the kitchen or when he walked into the dining room.

Very clean restaurant food is delicious respectful staff I've been going to Johnny's for yrs and you get what you pay for it is well worth it I've never been disappointed with my plate of food it definitely does the job I highly recommend Johnny's if you never been it's well worth the drop in might think the prices are high but they aren't when you see the plate of food you get. The owner is very respectful an he makes sure everyone and everything is good with your food and how you are doing and if theirs something wrong he will definitely correct it he really cares for his customers ????

For what it is, this place is magnificent. It's a diner. They serve diner food. It's always tasty. They know their product and they deliver it well. I'm especially fond of their sausage on a bun when it goes on special and their fries (for me) are perfectly cooked.

HANDS DOWN the very best Lasagna I've had in AGES!! Meaty, cheesy and insanely delicious meat sauce that you can see is loaded with veggies and mushrooms! It's just about as good as my Dad's lasagna. Southern Friend Chicken also a huge win!! Definitely going to be heading over there to eat in. If their delivery through Skip is this good, and perfectly timed, then I can't wait to see how it is in house. Great job guys!!

Disregard any negative reviews on this place. Staff are always very nice to my girlfriend and I. The owner is incredibly nice and the breakfast deals are fair. I've always had a good experience here and was even given a free breakfast from the owner just simply because he wanted to. That is above and beyond service that i rarely see anywhere else!
