Such a sweetheart took me and my girlfriends order the atmosphere was homie feeling the smells flattered my nose and their prices are outta this world I think they deserve a bigger restaurant however when we got our order she got us a box for our big tray of food and gave us extra containers such sweet and humble people there I wish there was a 20 star system Because that's what they deserve

Just moved to Oshawa and this place was recommended to us, great people! Ordered the chicken parmesan with pene and fettocini also garlic bread and Cesar salad. They were all delicious and the portions were so big we had them for dinner the next day. Very reasonable prices

Why, oh why didn't I find this place sooner!? Everything I had there was fresh, homemade and beyond delicious. It is a small restaurant, but it was like being in Mommas dinning room, so friendly and inviting. I will be back for that Alfredo sauce as often as possible. Best I've ever had. Thanks so much!

What a little hidden gem this place is. I'm a snobby eater and this place holds its ground against any big Italian restaurant and doesn't have the big bill at the end either. Their pasta and sauces are fresh homemade in house and the cook is literally an Italian mom, it doesn't get any more authentic and delicious than that. This isn't some person working off of someone else's recipe.

Best food Oshawa has to offer. Seriously, I've eaten everywhere and I could eat at Ciao Amici everyday, it's that good and the service is so friendly! All the pasta is incredible. The fettuccini alfredo is the best I've ever had out of dozens of places across the GTA/Durham and the veal sandwiches are out of this world good with home made buns and large, tender pieces of meat. Prices are very good for the quality and portion size. Only downside is they are not open on weekends but that's perfectly understandable for a "mom and pop" type place that's run by two people. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

I would like to start off this review by saying this little restaurant is diamond in the rough. Akie and his wife are very kind and very gracious owners. Although their brick and Mordor store is compact, their catering to go and food in the restaurant is impeccable!!! My wife and I (her being Italian), and very picky, have been eating there for years and consider this one of the best true Italian cuisines in town. Their prices are fair, their portions are good and you won't be disappointed with their food or service. Keep up the great work!!! See you soon.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The folks who run it are so inviting, personable and hard-working. Their food is all hand-made from scratch, and their passion for what they do shows in how delicious and well-crafted everything is. They have both daily specials and lunch specials, and I've never gotten a meal from here I didn't like. I especially love the deep fried pickles, the gnocchi (Tuesdays) and the lasagna (Fridays)! I really cannot say enough nice things about this place. Give them a try; you won't be disappointed.

I had ravioli and chicken and was surprised that I only got 4 big ravoli squares. It was fair value because it was stuffed with cheese. However my sis got the tortoleni and I ate a fair amount of hers and she still had left overs to take home. It's a really little place like a village shop in Italy. My sister was visiting oshawa and she was very pleased with the experience. Italian lady cook very personable and friendly.

Ciao Amici - Great food and very enjoyable personalities cooking and serving. I would say...the best arancini is Oshawa...perhaps even all of Durham. Unfortunately they are only available on Friday. So far...nothing we've had has disappointed. Prices are reasonable especially given that there food does not just come out of a jar.

Honestly, I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. My girlfriend and I were shocked leaving the restaurant, wondering if we went to the same restaurant everyone else was raving about. Maybe we came on a "bad" day but the food was not good. The pasta was bland and was drowned in sauce. The veal was soggy and drenched in oil. Also, the guy who served us was kind of wack and acted weird when we asked to switch tables. The only redeeming quality of this resturant is the woman who runs it.

Saw all the great reviews and had to see what the fuss was about. And now I know. Wow! My wife and I ate there last night. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had the veal parm. The owner Suggested the meat sauce instead of the meatballs and then served me both. It was amazing. The portions were huge and we had plenty left to take home for next days lunch. Before we could settle the check she had not only transferred our meals to take-out trays but threw in the most amazing roasted potatoes and rice balls. We left with more food than we ordered. What an experience! I cannot wait to go back which will likely be this week.

Just ate take-out dinner from Ciao Amici. It doesn't get any better than this for home cooked Italian food. I asked the chef for suggestions and tried them all. It was all so wonderful, but the ravioli with rosé sauce, OMG. So friendly as well. Cannot wait to go back!

Lots of combos to try, the pics are my meals the last times I ordered and both times my bf was already looking at their menu again after eating deciding what he wants to try next. Such a warm experience going to Ciao Amici, I'm not Italian but somehow feel like family as soon as I walk in. Great value and really delicious food. The alfredo sauce, on the fettuccini or the ravioli is incredibly rich and savory and highly recommended. The portions are hearty and are great for takeout lunch or dinner. Only wish the best for the owners, you can tell the place is run with lots of heart and it comes out in the food.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I walked in. The entry looked unfinished and there are maybe 4-5 tables—the place is super small. Yet, the staff were friendly, service was great, the serving sizes bigger than I could eat, and the prices were quite reasonable! Now, all of this would be irrelevant, if the food was no good. But that was the best part! The food was amazing! We had a salad and a couple of plates of homemade pasta and sauce. Since there was a nice selection of sauce, I asked if I could get all three. What a beautiful plate! Even better when I started eating. Needless to say, next time I'm in the area, I'm coming back! I hope they can think of a name for that dish. :-)

We choose this place based on the reviews. We were welcomed like family and after we received our food I was shocked it only had the 4.9 review. The food was absolutely delicious. We spoke with the owner and they informed us that everything was made fresh daily. I loved that you got to choose which sauce you wanted on your pasta. Their Alfredo sauce was the best I had ever tasted. Their fresh bread & dip, I couldn't get enough. The portions were beyond generous (getting at least two more meals out of mine) & the prices were incredible. Had we gone to McDonalds it would've been more expensive, less food and beyond worse quality food (would've been like eating dog food in comparison). I will definitely be back time & time again. This place is a hidden gem. It does have limited seating with about 12 spaces but it's perfect for a nice cozy/friendly environment. I cannot wait to go back there!!!

After reading lots of positive reviews, I decided to go there for supper. I was hungry when I arrived, and full when I left, and I hadn't even finished the whole meal. And boy, what a meal! I could have cut the chicken parm with a fork, it was so tender. The bolegnese sauce was amazing. I'd never tried gnocchi before, so was a little taken back by the texture, but by the time I was half way through the plate, I was quite enjoying it! Everything was homemade and delicious!! My meal was made even more enjoyable by the great conversation with the very friendly owner and cook while I ate. I would highly recommend Ciao Amici to anyone looking for great Italian food.

Where to start? - Price is absolutely worth it, huge portion sizes - Taste is always consistent, even better with their homemade chili oil (buy some to go before they run out!) - Atmosphere is very welcoming with great service. - The owners are often busy making orders, but they always find the time to get to know their customers. - Driving from Toronto, we tend to take a lot of items to go (mainly Fettuccini Alfredo) since it can be stored in the freezer, and tastes just as good fresh. - DESSERTS ARE AMAZING: CANNOLIS, TIRAMISU CAKE!

Wow, this restaurant is a 20/10. The food was absolutely fantastic. The portions are huge for a cheap price. The taste is absolutely mouthwatering. The owner is wonderful, personable, and such a sweetheart. I would def def recommend!!

From the greeting when we walked in the door to the chatting with the owners while our meals were being made it was an amazing experience.Then when we tasted the homemade authentic Italian food we knew we would be returning when I come back to town to visit family.The value for the price you paid was awesome. Super friendly people here. Food is amazing. My only issue is more a fault of my own. But the chicken Parm got saturated by the Alfredo sauce from the pasta beside and made it soggy. Lesson learned to make sure to order them separately in the future. Otherwise everything was perfect. I will definitely be returning. My picky kids loved it as well.

I also cannot speak highly enough of the owners, who accommodated a short notice catering for me at personal cost because they did not want to disappoint. Just going to start this off by saying my wife owns and operates her own catering company so it’s safe to say we are a great judgement on food quality. We ordered for my wife’s birthday for the first time and to be honest have never heard of this place before as it is still fairly new. All I can say is WOWWWW! From Start to finish from how they handled the order to the gentleman that delivered who was very kind and also wished my wife a happy birthday as his dads was the day prior. We start digging into the take out and we are blown away on the quality! I will never order pizza or pasta from anywhere else! This made my wife’s birthday which in turn made my night! I will be recommending Ciao Amici to all my friends and family! They do not know but we are very well connected in the chamber of commerce of Oshawa and they will be pleased to know how amazing this business is if not already!!! Thank you to everyone that made my wife’s birthday! God bless! Ps they do not skimp on meal size and it’s safe to say there will be ZERO left overs!!! Thank you again :)

Amazing little place, food is all made from scratch! Service was super friendly they are great hosts!!! Only 3 tables so if you want to eat in a reservation would be a good idea. It appears that most of their customers are takeout. I can not say enough about this place. Prices are very reasonable and portions are big. I work on the road and this is one of the best places to eat that I have found in Ontario. I do not eat at chain restaurants. This is a hidden gem you need to checkout.

Such a fantastic place to visit and the lady owner is so pleasant all the time. You won’t find a bigger meat to bun ratio than here. The veal is extremely tender and the sauce is exceptional. $8.40 with $.75 extra for each of cheese and peppers and mushrooms and onions. Highly recommend.

Me and my wife went here for the first time after being referred here by a couple friends and I'm honestly so glad we went. The owners were hands down the most polite and welcoming people and gave such a genuinely pleasant experience. The Google reviews are true, the veal falls apart in your mouth and the sauce and pasta is essentially perfect in every way. Not to mention the PRICES.. Jesus how do they do it? With the portion sizes I could get 3 meals out of 1. This place is an underrated gem. I'm a customer for life ❤️

I was going out with my friend, and randomly found this restaurant online. I was intrigued by the pictures posted and saw the reviews. The amount of food you get for the price is simply amazing. It is a small restaurant but it is so cozy and home like! Reminds me of back home. The manager is by far the funniest person I ever met! She’s so passionate about her food and the close relationships she has with her clients. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell what quality is! Will definelty come again! Their Alfredo and Rose is to die for. The portions are very generous. Whenever I go in, I know I am getting two meals for the price of one. I called for take out for the first time this week and it was quite honestly THE BEST I’ve ever had. I picked up the chicken Parmesan and fettuccine alfredo for $11.50, the serving was big enough to feed both my friend and I. For the price and quality and quantity, you cannot go wrong. The customer service was superb as well!! You can totally tell they care a lot about their customers. I will most definitely be returning (more than I’d care to admit haha) and telling all my friends and family.

Small family run restaurant. The owners are very friendly and they love getting to know the regulars and chatting up a storm. It's very relaxed and feels like a hidden gem among downtown Oshawa.
