This pub is awesome. The food is incredible! We had the curry rolls and spinach dip for apps and the Cajun chicken sandwich with 2 pounds of wings and it was probably the best food I've had in a very long time. Our server, (Jody? we think her name was?), was the best, extremely attentive, very friendly and funny and she made our experience absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back!

Had the worst experience! Called to try to make a reservation, but originally was told they don’t take them. Called back just to give them a heads up that there would be over 20 people coming, and then they made a reservation for us. Got there only to be told there was nothing in our name. The bored hostess seated us crunched together in the corner. The waitress seemed genuinely annoyed at our presence and did nothing to change her attitude the whole time we were there. A friend tried to order food and was snapped at "I have to take drinks first!" Another asked for a to go container, and waiting at leave 15-20 minutes, and when it finally came, was told it was sitting at the bar. If the wait staff is this bad at customer service, I can only imagine how the manager is!! Food was subpar for a pub. Will not go back if I can help it.

It's got the old pub feel too it. The staff were overwhelmed and stressed. Our food took an hour to arrive, and was very meh, and because of that they cut our bill in half. I credit the waitress for that. Wouldn't go back.

Excellent locally owned pub under new ownership this year, food is great, service was amazing! They have taken great effort to make sure there is appropriate distancing inside the restaurant and at the bar and they also have a patio. Staff is awesome at cleaning and sanitizing all while they maintain great service levels. I feel completely safe and comfortable in this establishment. Please take time and make sure you come out to support this great local pub to make sure they continue to be an amazing part of our community!

The 75 cent Tuesday wing special (with minimum purchase of a beverage) was completely satisfactory. Not only on my pocket, on especially on my stomach! Their menu says "jumbo" wings, and they lived up to their claim! I'll definitely be visiting again on a Tuesday!

Food was pretty good but everything else was lackluster. Overall appearance was somewhat dark and dingy. We sat up front near the entrance and the doors were open. Everytime another customer left to have a cigarette there was a strong cigarette smell came in. Not pleasant. Appetizers were a little overpriced so we skipped them. Did have a daily special that was very reasonable.

The people here need to learn how to cook. Awful food. A shepherd's pie is not just potatoes and a tiny but of meat gravy. But The girl seemed to be in a bad mood. She called last call at 12:30 on a friday night. Me and my friends and the other table of people most definitely would have spent way more money there. The waitress was short tempered when we asked why and didnt really explain. Not a good way to keep business. To make things worse she started to put up all the chairs around us and started to vacumm obviously pushing us out. Very ruude and ignorant people owning and working in this place. Amazing food! I cannot overstate how good this place is. Fantastic menu, great staff, awesome atmosphere, all around great place to go! Spent two weeks at the hotel across the road and I are here nearly every day for lunch and dinner. Went through over half the menu and everything was so good. In particular, the burgers, pork ribs and curry are delicious. Can't wait to go back!

It's a true pub with all the standard fare on the menu and some you might not expect. Went on Saturday which happened to be taco night, delish! the fish was crispy, the salsa made fresh, and the portion very generous.

Went there on a Tuesday at around 7:30pm. All 4 tables were taken but I saw two people with boxes of leftovers and very little beer left. So I decided to sign in and wait. They did not order anything else and stayed there for over 45 minutes. Finally got a table and went to order a beer and they said it was past last call. If there are people waiting why do you not limit the time people are there??? Maybe limit it to a half hour. Maybe you just don't care about making money. I wasted almost an hour of my time and was told I could not have a beer. I am staying at a hotel near for months but I don't think I will ever come back!!!!!

Pickup order was ready to the minute they said it would be! We had an order of potato skins which we agreed was lacking on seasoning, but her order of steak stir fry and my order of shrimp linguine definitely made up for it. So much beef and shrimp in our meals, and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

We got take-out from the Bull Dog for the first time last weekend. The wings were good, but I ordered the Mac & cheese and it was extremely disappointing, so much as I'd rather have a $0.90 box of Kraft dinner instead. I ordered the Mac & cheese because the menu description made it sound amazing and cheesy with "crunchy parmesan bread crumb mixture" on-top .. however when I got my meal, it was basically just some boiled wet noodles with shredded cheese on top. No creamy/cheesey sauce, no flavour, and absoluetly no sight of the "crunchy parmesan bread crumb mixture" as advertised :(

Wow ! From the multitude of poor reviews ! I don’t think people are happy with the poor , rude customer service that they have experienced from owner over the years as well as myself ! Banning me from here because of personal reasons ?, but chose to make up false allegations ! In order to do so ! Perhaps listening to the customer ! And coming to an understanding ? Would make good business sense ? Especially small town businesses where people talk . Keep banning customers and they’ll be none left ! Btw not slander if it is true ! Good luck with your threats ! We live a 3 minute drive from the pub and have tried it 4 times in the past 5yrs. The first time, no one came to serve us. The bartender made eye contact with us and I thought he would send a server over but we left after waiting 15 mins without service. A year later we tried again, having heard the wings were great. 10 minute wait for a server who, through no fault of her own, had way too many tables. She was frantic and I felt awful for her. The food took almost an hour but was decent. The 3rd time was last winter and we stood at the door, waiting to be seated, as per the sign, for at least 5 mins. Again, the same male bartender made eye contact with us, no greeting, just went about his business and finally a server sat us. Nachos were made wrong and were not fixed as I am not one to make a scene but I did mention it so our server would realize. Last night was our last time trying this pub. We were there because it's down the street and my son wanted wings. Long wait at the door, no greeting from that same bartender, server was nice enough but the kitchen sent her out 20 mins after we ordered to say they were out of an item. Not her fault at all but wow...then I watched my son eat his wings while I waited for my second option to be cooked. Our server disappeared for a while so we had to ask another employee to get our bill for us as we had had enough. I'm a server who tips a minimum of 20% but last night I barely left 10%. It's a good menu but the service there is awful. We will not be back.

Service was horrible. I have eaten there before but this time the wings were not even good. On top of that the bartender was trying to RIP us off charging us for doubles and only giving us singles. Very disappointed.

Wings are okay, beer selection is average and the service isn't great. Normally I wouldn't have high expectations for a local pub, I know I'm not going looking for the classiest service, but the price was a little on the high side.

If you are a pub and people loving person you will likely have good experience in the Bulldog. Some dishes from the kitchen are outstandingly delicious and very reasonably priced. A person dropping in for a first experienced might be overwhelmed by the regulars. Whenever we take friends or family they want to go back again & again. Can be a little loud a first until you understand the thrum of the sounds.

Went in with my grandmother and baby. A women with Short curly dark hair was too busy taking down Halloween decorations to greet us or give us menus. So I got them. Then 20-25 minutes later a women with medium length brown hair apologized and brought took our drink order. Then told us she would be right back to get our food order. I saw her go do a lot of things, including stand at the bar and talk to the short haired lady for about 20-30 minutes. When she finally came back she apologized because she forgot us, took our order which was a soup and salad. took 15 minutes and she brought me the wrong salad. She should have carried a pen and paper to take the order if she was so bad a remembering. Long story short. Took an over an for a simple order. Wasn't even the right order and the employees didn't really seemed focused on the costumers. I would have spent more and gave a better tip if it didn't already start off terrible. Disappointed and would rather spend more on better service

The restaurant prices itself out if it's quality. A lot of frozen and packaged foods served up. Drinks were either watered down or syrup not changed. Sauces and gravy tasted pretty bland. Some food was cold when served. Service was okay though. Wings themselves were alright, minus the sauce.

I will absolutely be coming back here!! My mum and I decided to have a dinner date, I ordered the BLT and in the notes added I was allergic to dairy and to subtract that from my meal if it applied. And not even five minutes later the owner called to let us know we could substitute the bun to one that had zero butter. No other restaurant has EVER called for a substitute for dairy! I'm seriously impressed, AMAZING customer service and incredible food.

Staying at Hotel down the street. A local co-worker recommended. Read reviews and went with appetizer for two. Chicken curry rolls are great as reviewed. Wings are good size and taste great.(lightly dusted salt and pepper). The potato skins were good as well. May order again before leaving town. Order ready on time, staff were friendly and lots of them. Food was still hot when I returned to room.

Be prepared to show ID and be refused because you might be coming from a lock down city due to COVID. Can anyone say they don't live in a lock down city??? If they didn't want customers 1 he prior to closing, they should have said it!!! Treated very nicely at MR. A"S QUICK FLAME.

I enjoy the atmosphere in this place. The wings are awesome. The burgers are fantastic and the hospitality is outstanding. The owners personally looked after us and were very friendly and made sure we were satisfied. Definitely a must go. Even if you are unable to dine in then get take out. It will be worth your while.

She proceeded to forget half my wings then I was unable to remind her of my order because I asked her for a refil and 25 minutes later when I got it and she suggested I ordered wrong I requested the bill. Which she got and then was additionally rude/ abrupt and walked away. We will not be returning forsure, there's other places to get wings

Within walking distance to the Courtyard by Marriott. Food and atmosphere are great. We were there on a Saturday night, karaoke night. 4 stars only because the karaoke was so loud you couldn't have a conversation.

Went back during lockdown for takeout giving a second chance after a not great experience a few years ago and found this place has the best burgers in Oshawa. I mean huge awesome home burgers. Very glad I went back.

I miss this pub so much. I used to live around the corner and it was my local watering hole The staff are super friendly, and begin to remember you and call you by name if you are there enough. The portions are generous and the food is always good. They get really busy for wing night, so don't even try to go there with a group over 4 or 5 unless you are ok to wait or show up later in the night. Wings are awesome though. They do a bunch of promo nights and all of the meals are top notch

I find the owners unprofessional and hypocrits!! I'd rather spend my money at subway. Not bc I think their food at the bull dog is not good. I WILL NEVER GIVE BRIAN AND SHEILA THE BUSINESS simply because of their morals and values when it comes to over serving a patron!! My Personal experience of someone that I love and, when I brought it to their attention, they both, not only lied about it, they treated me like dirt because I was suggesting it happened at their establishment. Next time I WILL NOT WASTE MY BREATH, I'll simply call the LCBO and file my complaint, WHICH I SHOULD OF DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I have absolutely no respect for those people!

I live down the street from the pub so I do go there frequently. There are a couple servers that are excellent, and a few that are not as great. They have a good selection of beer and their wings and nachos are fantastic. Some of the best wings around. However that's really it for the food. Having tried much of the menu, I would recommend sticking to the appetizer section and skip the rest as it's just not that good.

Great little bar, I've only been once but it was a great experience. It was karaoke night, lots of fun, employees were nice and welcoming. I recommend this little gem if you just wanna go out for some beers and watch the game, a great place to go in my opinion.

Lol. Wasn't sure at first as it's smallish... however food was awesome. Great cottage pie ( Shephard pie. Only I was informed a true Shephard pie is lamb) hence cottage pie. Still was great. Jumbo wings were that... jumbo. Homemade hot sauce was awesome.

Friendly little watering hole. Wait staff were attentive. I had the wings which were really quite meaty. The burger was homemade and quite nice. It was pretty busy since it was Friday night, so the noise level got loud. They also had live music later in the evening. It was definitely worth the try.

New owners took over in February. The regulars know the routine: wear a mask,clean hands, use sanitized pen to sign in. Some abide by it. Those waiting for takeout orders looked uncomfortable with no where to sit. There were a number of entree specials to choose from: we chose 3 beef ribs and 6 wings, comes with onion rings, opted out for salad. Delicious. You want to be hungry. The wings are very large! Tried the fish and chips, with poutined fries. It did not disappoint. Smaller portion filled with flavor. Homemade Mac & cheese was extra cheesy with a ceasar salad side. It turned out to be such a large portion it became 2 meals. Overall, very happy to have returned after being away for a number of years.

I had wings, that were big and delicious. I ordered two flavors, six of each. I was able to eat seven and wanted to take the remaining five home. They charge you thirty cents apiece to take them home with you. If you leave them they are thrown out anyway. I've never heard of this practice in a restaurant. I found it very cheap. And I have to say although the nachos were tasty enough, for $17 we recieved a flat layer of chips with a few toppings. Hardly worth the cost. Overall I was pretty disappointed this being the first time there. I gave three stars only because atmosphere was nice it was clean our waitress was nice, the wings very good and the company I was with, my daughters.

I ordered 3 kbs and garlic bread with cheese for take out. They said it would be 15 min, i arrived at the said time, it wasnt ready, waited about 15 min for my order, i get in my car and open the wings, thinking, they'll be hot as they took that long, nope, warm at best! I opened my garlic bread with cheese thinking that might have been what they cooked last, nope, the cheese wasn't even melting anymore and the bread was already crusty and dry!! Horrible food, not llike they used to be. Go to the portly piper, alwsys good and always hot!

The Bull Dog has had a full renovation and I had some of the most delicious food that I have ever enjoyed. Wings, large and mouthwatering, curry rolls, potato skins, crispy chicken and bacon wraps and even the salad was so good. Perfect experience there, staff was helpful and courteous. I loved it there.

How do you go from 65c wings to 85c wings? How exactly is THAT a wing special? You may as well just change it to 99c because it's pretty ridiculous. I've personally only been a handful of times in the past little while and the wings were good, service was good on some occasions, horrible other times. May as well take my wing eating business to buffalo wild wing on Tuesday, they have it 10c cheaper!

My husband and I enjoyed a great lunch today! We hadn’t been into the Bulldog since being taken over by the new owners and have read great things about them and decided to give them a try. Glad we did! We had a friendly greeting by the owner who indicated they were at capacity (10 people) and we could wait in the vestibule if we’d like until a table opened up, We waited 10 minutes max and in we went and had great and friendly service from the beginning to end. We started out with bruschetta which was one of the best I have ever had! My husband had wings (when they got to the table I was kinda bummed I didn’t order them too as they looked delicious!), he enjoyed his wings and I enjoyed a Philly Melt with some delicious hand cut fries, which I LOVED. With all the challenges that our local restaurants are facing during these trying times, we were greeted with friendly service and great food AND happy to see the safety of their customers is also at the forefront for the owners. Thanks again.... we will be back! In a world where you can be anything..... be KIND.

Our friends recommended this place, but we must have been on a very bad night. Cold Yorkshire pudding. Cold dry mash potatoes. Overdone meat. Missing items in order, billed for the free refills on the coffee. On the plus side though, the wait staff was friendly. They corrected the bill and credited the prime rib for both of us.

True story, girl friend took me to St Louis bar and grill for my birthday two years ago, the food and the service was soooooooo bad, no it sucked! While dealing with the manager I actually pulled out my phone and phoned the Bull Dog Pub which is located in oshawa just off the 401 at harmony, to inquire where is their pub in Toronto located. Sorry Oshawa's got the only one. .....to bad. ..their wings are by far the best I've ever had their meaty lots of veggies with each basket and bar none the cheapest. ..worth the trip to the shawa.

Great Pub! Stopped by waiting for a hockey tournament game to start. The place was packed with the Leafs game on. There was karaoke going on. It was surprisingly good. The staff was awesome.

Friends and I came to the Bulldog starving and they took forever to seat us, forever to serve us, we were sitting there for 30 minutes before they even took our drink order and when he ordered our drinks then I had to find our server to ask if we could order our food , after ordering our food we still had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks and my drink was super watered down ... I ordered calimari and wings both my wings and calimari were soggy and cold! And our original server didn’t even end up serving us our drinks or food it was the hostess , I honestly felt so bad for the hostess because I know it wasn’t her fault , she was really sweet about everything

I went to celebrate Alexander Keiths birthday.. for an incredibly busy night the staff were quick accurate and fun. The live music was great.. had a blast. It was clean, the staff is very friendly, and the beer was delicious. As for their being no debit like the other comment said... I paid by debit with zero issue. Great bar to go with buddies or on a date.

I’ve been ordering takeout from Bulldog throughout the Pandemic and they have always provided excellent service and an excellent product. I’m fortunate to have such a reasonably priced take out option so close to my house. I highly recommend!!

Had the wings with dry cajun and deep fried pickles. The food was good and service was excellent. Decor was typically pub like which is great as that is where you are. Lack of debit is disappointing. I dislike places that do not take debit but have a ATM on site instead. Only real negative to me.

The person seating us was very friendly and accommodating to us. Our waiter was so friendly and very fast. Always asked us how the food was and refills other staff would ask us if we need anything and they were not with our table. The food we got wings. The fries and wings were so hot the sauce we picked was good the wings were huge. We will be back for sure. Wish I researched the nights like wing night 69 cents I missed it. Karaoke was cool.

I hesitate to give this place an outstanding review because sometimes it's hard enough to get a seat here. But if the truth be told get there early and you can't help but walk away with smile on your face. I would recommend anything on the menu, especially the wings!!! ????

It was a great experience. Staff was rushed because the place was filled with people, but they still managed to find us a seat! So service was great. I had the smoked meat and wasn't very happy with it personally. However my lady's pulled pork was to die for. Appetizers were also very generously sized! I do recommend this!
