The food was so good. I ordered chicken parmigiana. It was seriously so delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated. I loved watching the flames from the pizza oven. I went with a group of moms. We had a reservation for 10 people. We ended up being 8 of us. The server was not friendly. We felt like a huge inconvenience to her. She wanted us out quickly and even cleared our water glasses while we were still at the table talking. We didn’t feel very welcome. We go out monthly as a group for dinner and have never experienced being treated like this at any restaurant. I’d try it again because the food was so good. Maybe the server was just having a bad day but it ruined the experience.

One of the best restaurants in Oshawa. The location is awesome, if only they had a little more parking available. It is right next to the GM center so it's a nice spot to hit up before going to an event. Excellent pastas, delicious ceasar salad and the freshest bread. The pizzas are huge and crispy. The dessert menu is a little lacking as well, but you hardly have room for it anyway after stuffing your soul with all the bread and oil. Cheers, thank you for so many beautiful date nights or family events.

Absolutely. Delicious. I usually work in Toronto and have been missing being able to eat at my go to Italian restaurants there during covid. I decided to give a look at some places out in Durham to see if there was anything as good for some takeout for my birthday, I wasn’t hopeful but the reviews of this place seemed promising. So, I went for it and ordered their bolognese and it may be the best I’ve ever tasted. Hands down rocked my world and made my birthday. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing Italian in downtown Oshawa. We had a great dinner here with the ravioli and pizza. Excellent service, great wine and drinks. We enjoyed the restaurant itself as well. Nice atmosphere!

The worse Italian restaurant I have ever visited in CANADA. SOME TIMES 4 STAR RATING AREN'T REALLY TRUE ! I ordered Fusilli pasta and they prepare like this. I hate this taste and didn't worth visitng. After eating this pasta I felt stomach upset and I hated pasta. I love pastas. But this is definitely a terrible experience on a Sunday!. Also Very poor customer service. When i asked a question reg this pasta and enquired why this doesnt look like a usual fusilli pasta. The waitress answered and then she went and started mocking at us and pointing our table to her co- waitress. When I looked at her she went inside to the kitchen. What kind of a courtesy the owner of restaurant teach their employees? Unpleasant customer service!. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME VISITING THIS RESTAURANT AND they don't even have a proper parking space. The space s shared with the rbc bank and they have time restrictions. I NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AND I WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN!!! 0 STAR RATING DESERVES IT NOT 4 STAR.

Honestly amazing. I got the butternut squash ravioli, which was very good! The sauce was perfect, it had an awesome variety in the dish and the port soaked cherries matched the flavours so well. We also shared a plate of the arancini(rice balls) and they were perfect!! 2 bite rice balls are the new way to so it. And basalmic with the red sauce was an awesome experience. I loved that they have basalmic and olive oil on the table, and they serve fresh bread. It was 60$ for 2 of us, so 2 plates and 2 appetizers. It was affordable and delicious, and I loved the art on the walls. Will be going back!

I can’t express how pleasantly surprised I was! The food was excellent. My mom has Celiac disease so we always struggle to find nice Italian restaurants that offer gluten free options. Avanti has a corn pasta that can be substituted for most pasta dishes and it was delicious! A wonderful gem in Oshawa. The service was friendly and quick. Perfect portions with affordable prices. I have nothing negative to say. Thank you for a lovely evening… We will be back soon!

Classic Italian fare at reasonable prices. Went as a group of four. Server was fantastic. Two ordered the pasta special (fettuccini in rose sauce and veg) while I had the rigatoni calabrese with spicy sausage and partner the steak. Everyone was satisfied, cooked as ordered. Romaine salad is a good portion with garlic and real Parmesan shavings. Grilled calamari tasty. Free bread basket with warmed butter was nice touch. Wasn’t crazy about the dessert or coffee - they were fine but the apps and main triumphed. Happy to return.

Ordered dinner here tonight to celebrate our anniversary! We were beyond impressed with both food and service! I hadn’t eaten here for years but I was craving Italian and Avanti didn’t disappoint! The gentlemen who took our order over the phone was fantastic, our meals were to die for and even our delivery driver was so pleasant! Do yourself a favour and support local!!!

Our experience was very good, it was a end to one of our mother daughter days it was a thirs night before the long weekend they were busy but not too busy to accepting us without a reservation. I had an amazing spinach salad my daughter got pizza and our other friend had mussels and spaghetti they serve a bread prior while you wait for your meal. The waitress was a mo e young girl who went put out of her way for us. We will be back. Beautiful inside.Very happy with how quick.our food was brought out as well considering how busy they were.

The service was pretty good and the food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant is very good about providing enough bread and refilling the bread basket often! Overall the food was pretty good, but not the best I've had at this price point (around 16 dollars average for pasta). Lots of parking space as well and was not too packed on a Monday evening. Summary: Fast service and very good food at expected prices. Service: The meal for 2 was prompt, with the server filling up drinks without asking and hot food coming minutes after ordering. Food: Fettuccine Ala Vodka (w. smoked salmon) - Heaping portion with a creamy doll sauce. Artichoke, Goat Cheese in a red pepper sauce - a hit of hot mixed with delicious flavors. The Calamari looked great but just tasted average. Total bill for 2 pastas, 2 sodas and a calamari was $65 after a 15% tip.

What a fantastic experience !!! We had a family birthday dinner at Avanti in Oshawa last night with both adults and children in our small group. I can't say enough about the wonderful, patient and thoroughly gracious service we received. From start to finish, our culinary adventure was amazing. After a long day at work I thought I'd treat myself to take out....enjoyed a tasty drink while waiting and Joel was so personable, his friendly banter put a huge smile on my face. He made great menu recommendations and the food did not disappoint. The butternut squash ravioli is to die for!!!! Very flavourful. So tempted to try everything on the menu, but hard to imagine visiting again and not ordering it, it's that good. Highly recommend eating here

A happy, patient person took our phone (pick-up) order. Gave us a time and it was ready to the minute. Spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna, garlic bread with cheese. Portions were good, food was hot and fresh. Very tasty. Enough for lunch tomorrow too. Packaging was sturdy, food travelled home well. We enjoyed our treat before Christmas! I would recommend and will order again. Thank-you!

Went here for a work Christmas party. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, we had calamari, bruschetta and I got a penne salsiccia which had sausage and sweet peppers in a tomato sauce. There was so much I had leftovers for the next day! I tried their French rose which was very nice and not too sweet at all. My co worker tried the house red wine which she really liked as well. Great experience!

I’m absolutely disappointed I ordered for takeout $80 worth of food I didn’t get no utensils in the world the one pasta dish the Mediterranean one was absolutely horrible the lasagna was OK to be honest with you this place is a little over prided. I had to wait to get home to eat by the time I got home I had to reheat it !

What a great place! The food waa delicious from start to finish, the menu has a great selection of appetizers, salads, main courses and (my favourite) desserts, prices are reasonable and the staff is fantastic: helpful, accommodating and fun.
