This is the best sushi restaurant I have been to. Excellent Spicy Salmon and Spicy Crab rolls. The guy who owns the shop is always welcoming and so friendly, he really makes the vibe great and his staff are just as friendly and inviting. The place is very clean and authentic too + they always play good songs in the background! Highly recommend this spot!

I've been to a number of all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, but hear me out when I say this; a restaurant doesn't have to be all-you-can-eat to be good. Wasabi & Teriyaki is definite proof of that notion. They have a wide selection to choose from, of which include both a number of dishes and a number of set combinations of udon, sushi rolls, tempura, rice, and others. When a good friend of mine recommended the place, they mentioned how the place can often be packed, mainly because of the smaller scale of the restaurant. Knowing this, they recommended making a reservation as a precaution in case it got busy by the time we arrived, which was around 6pm on a weekday. As for ordering, I went along and decided to pick up one of the Tempura Combos, one with Calamari Tempura and a Dynamite Roll for $11.99. When it arrived, every bite was as flavorful as the next, especially with the Tempura. Each portion was good, and at the end was satisfying. However I won't deny, I would have preferred eating a bit more. Next time I'll definitely pick up an appetizer or salad to start with. With that said, I would absolutely return for another meal, especially since Wasabi & Teriyaki's prices don't fluctuate with the days of the week as far as I'm aware. So comparably, you can pay around $20 anytime for something that will happily satisfy you versus the full price for a weekend night out at other nearby all-you-can-eat sushi places. It's worth also noting, I don't say this to bash other sushi restaurants. I say this as its makes for quite the comparison, especially since there's enough reasons to at least give this place a visit!

This place is terrific! I've been here a handful of times for takeout and I'm always impressed with the time it takes to walk in and out, the cost, and the overall taste of the food. There is a small area for dining in, but most of the clientele at this restaurant are commuters who are doing takeout. So, if you do decide to eat here don't be surprised to see it empty.

This place is my new favourite sushi spot in Oakville. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable and the old gentleman that served us was the sweetest guy ever. I’m checked it out based on the reviews on Google and I’m soooo glad I did. Can’t wait to go back. Just to know what to expect, this place is small with only a handful of tables and is quite casual (which is a plus for me!). It also does not serve alcohol. Given that, you won’t regret going there. For me, it’s Oakville’s best sushi!!! ???????????? Update: tried it numerous times after my initial review and it never disappoints. We ordered yesterday for new year’s and it was amazing. One of our 3 boats fell apart and we dropped everything in it on the sidewalk. They immediately refunded us. Can’t wait for my next experience ????

Went there for my sister's birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Staff was extremely friendly, patient and kind - the man who i believe is the owner was closing (they're always closed Sundays) but he and the kitchen staff got us all the food we ordered anyways. They were so kind to give us extra at one point! The Green Dragon and the normal sushi plus the fried shrimps and dumplings were delicious. Because they begin the close on Saturday night, don't expect them to have all your food very quickly, but it's definitely worth the wait if you have a few moments. The atmosphere is pretty peaceful, good for a private family or couple dinner. Sorry i forgot to take pictures of the food before everyone devoured it!

This is my favorite sushi spot in Oakville. Its such a gem! The atmosphere, owners and staff are tremendously kind and generous! They really do take pride in their food and put a lot of love into everything they serve. The pricing, quality and portions cannot be beat. I repeat, the pricing, quality and portions cannot be beat!!! I often dine in and order take out, and the quality is always consistant and on point! If you order take out, they time each menu item perfectly (ex. tempura shrimp) cooked just as you arrive so that when you get home its still fresh and crispy! Treat yourself and your loved ones, and try out Wasabi Terriyaki!

I didn't have the best experience as described in other reviews. Food was only average, I was hoping for better. If you enjoy inauthentic japanese sushi dishes like California rolls, dynamite rolls, any maki with rice on the outside, etc... then this place may be for you. For more authentic maki, nigiri, sashimi, etc... , I don't recommend this place. Basically, I don't recommend this place unless you like westernised sushi.

We have been looking for a replacement for “O Sushi” our favorite Sushi Restaurant (located in Bronte), which went out of business a while back. It looks like this restaurant, “Wasabi Teriyaki” will be the replacement. It is a small restaurant set in the Trafalgar Village Strip Mall. The restaurant is small, clean and has a pleasing ambient. The food portions are good, and the price is reasonable. The service is friendly and quick (during non-peak hours). We will be repeat customers.

A delightful lunch! The hand rolls were on point, and the unagi sashimi was a revelation so soft and served on lettuce with a subtle lovely sauce. Sushi rice was sort of hard and not fresh, veggie tempura, specifically the green beans, still had their stems attached after deep frying, portions are small. Salad had generic Italian dressing with half a piece of the inside of a tomato, and frozen veggie spring rolls. All in all, not worth the money.

They had 4.8 star rating on Google and we thought of checking the place out. Restaurant is quite small... Just 4 tables with about 16 seats and couple of chairs for take out customers. It's a family run place and the whole family was very friendly. We ordered Bento Box, Fried Calamari and Spicy Noodles Soup. I must say, this is probably the best Calamari I have ever tasted. Fried Calamari was lightly floured and cooked to perfection. The sauce they served with Calamari is to die for. Sauce is very light, sweet with hint of lemon. Crispness of fried flour and smooth texture of Calamari and tartness of sauce complement each other. At first Spicy Noodles Soup looks like instant noodles out of the packet. But the taste is amazing. Noodles could be out of the packet(?) but certainly seasoning is their own. Soup does not have high sodium taste to it that comes in packet noodles Soup. Bento Box has good portion of green salad, well seasoned and lightly battered Tempura (2 large Shrimps, beans,sweet potato and pumpkin), 5pcs of Sushi (Salmon, Shrimp, Tuna) and 4pcs of Cucumber Rolls. Wasabi and Teriyaki restaurant is there for 9 years. With the food of this quality and the price, friendly staff, they should be lot busier. But i am surprised to see on Saturday evening, were are the only table they had around 7pm. At the same time, Sushi place 100 yards from them is packed. Puzzles me... We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We will certainly visit again

Gave this a 5 star rating because of the upbeat and enthusiastic attitude towards his customers. Once I was waiting for the rest of my group to arrive and he graciously offered hot tea and chatted with me while I waited. Conveniently located beside the GO train station, this is a great place to dine in or take out. Their salmon and tuna sashimi are pretty decent here, as well as their rolls.

We ordered the sushi rolls, maki and sashimi large party tray. The fish was extremely fresh and oh so good! The maki rolls were generous, more filling in comparison to the rice - so good! We did a take out and albeit placing order at peak time; they were kind enough to prepare the tray for us in 40 minutes. After a very long time we have had extremely fresh ????. Thank you for the complimentary spring rolls; that was a thoughtful gesture. We can’t wait to be back and order other cooked dishes too. Thank you for a yummy dinner!

One of my favourite places to get a bento box with chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura. I also love their sushi and the cute atmosphere in the restaurant. It super small but they feed you well and let you take your time. The do a lot of take out and lots of go train riders stop here for food after work. You wont be disappointed with what they offer.

We tried this place after reading all the good google reviews and I must say, the experience and food was fantastic! We ordered the party tray and shrimp tempura and they were kind enough to give us some spring rolls for free which was so kind and unnecessary. I come from a family of Japanese/Korean chefs and restaurant owners and this restaurant served the food to our standards. Will definitely be a regular here. Glad there is a good restaurant like this in Oakville.

I am extremely disappointed with their service. I originally wanted to order 2 fried rice 1 with veggies and 1 without. However, I was told they didn’t really have veggies so I said I would only order 1 since it seemed like too much trouble to make 2 differently. I should have know at that point to just cancel my order. Anyway, I was told to wait 10 minutes since that didn’t seem like a long time, I asked if I wait could there. I was asked for my vaccine certificate and we sat down. I went with my kids and anyone who has kids knows how much work it is to take kids in and out of their car seats twice in a span of 10 minutes in the winter. Kids being kids they took off their jackets and got comfy and asked if we could sit there and since they were hungry and it didn’t seem like a problem since there was a Mom there with her child eating a very simple sushi order. When the food was ready they packed it up called me up and I paid and tipped and ordered a coke which I didn’t even get. I have never dined in the restaurant so I wasn’t sure if this was how it worked normally. I was not going to ask for plates or anything else. When I was about to sit down I was asked rudely if I was going to eat there I said “Yes, is that ok?” He said “No!” Then back peddled into a “ok fine” I grabbed my things and left as soon as I could because why would I want to eat there at that point. In the end by the time I got home my kids fell asleep in the car without dinner and my food was cold and extremely greasy. Will not be returning ever.

We may have found our favorite sushi spot. Coming from sushi loving Vancouver our standards are pretty high. We've ordered twice: dynamite roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, salmon sushi. So far everything has been fresh and very tasty. I loved the small layer of wasabi between the salmon and the rice in the salmon sushi. The rolls also had just the right amount of ingredients, not too much rice. The food was neatly attanged on a platter. We even got some free spring rolls both times. I would suggest the owners, as a next step, to move to more environmentally friendly packaging (e.g. cardboard vs styrofoam).

Amazing friendly service from Wasabi & Teriyaki. The owner was extremely accommodating with my request for a take out order needed for a wedding luncheon. So far have eaten various sushi, yakisoba (chicken), spicy pokum (pork) and galbi BBQ steak Yeah, all amazing - even better is the veggie/cabbage miracle it comes on top of, filling, great value, and crazy tasty Everyone there is incredibly warm, they even let us leave without paying once because we forgot our wallet and we had hungry kids with us!! I eat out almost daily and this is one of my favs!

This is my number 1 sushi spot in the GTA. Prior to this my family and I always used to go to another spot for many years. It was our favourite , and compared to most other joints , it just couldn't compare. That is , until I found this amazing place owned by Hiro. Its the new spot , and even after moving out of Oakville I still do the commute from Toronto from time to time to go see him and have some amazing sushi. The service can get tricky at times , but one has to understand he is 1 of 3 employees at most , who work every single hour you see on his schedule. So when the place has good movement just understand that you'll have to wait a bit.... though it will all be worth it. His food is amazing every single time , the love and care that goes into the sushi and the quality of the sushi is comparable to none. He's one hell of a guy as well , and he always treats us right. Always worth it and affordably priced as well. 5 out of 5.

As many others have mentioned, wasabi & teriyaki have great maki rolls, however, their sashimi quality and portion size were subpar at best. Highly recommend if you’re a maki lover, but would not if you are into nigiri and sashimi

Visited for lunch today. It’s my second time visiting after my co-workers told me about this place. It’s a nice and cozy family owned restaurant. They greeted us with a smile and offered us water and tea. We order their pork donkatsu, shrimp tempura and gyoza. All are freshly cooked! The servings are big especially the donkatsu meal. I wish they would serve it with a miso soup on the side (just a suggestion) Overall I enjoyed my meal at this place. We will come back again to try their galbi meal.

The owner still took my order and very graciously told me I could come back another time to pay and not to worry. This generosity and humbleness was very much appreciated.
