This place is great. Our server Jacqueline is top notch. On top of her table touches, suggestions, good with my 9 year old and great insight on the menu. The eggplant parm is to die for. Grilled calamari is flavourful. If you go with the duck confit. Ask for a little more sauce. Would give this place 5 stars but felt the hostess was cold upon greeting and her body language shows me she did not want to be there. Been there twice already and would come back.

My wife and I were very excited to dine at Trattoria Timone last night (Nov 21) given the quality of menu. Unfortunately, once we were seated, no one bothered to come greet us. The restaurant was busy and we were understanding of this but about 25 minutes pass and still no server. A good number of servers pass our table and no one acknowledged us. The lady serving the table next to us, whom we assumed would be our server as well just kept walking by us and pretending we weren’t even there. Again, we understood it was busy and we expected to wait for the food, but to not even be greet was disappointing. My wife and I couldn’t help but feel a little discriminated against being a visible minority. This combined with the fact it was insanely loud in the place, that we couldn’t even hear each other talk, we finally just gave up and left. Before leaving, I did mentioned to the hosts at the front that we waited so long and no one bothered to at least greet us and I didn’t get the sense they really cared. I am sure the food here is fantastic, but if service is of importance to you and you want to dine in a relatively quiet setting, then save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other good restaurants who work extremely hard and deserve your business. Now reading some of the reviews below, I guess we weren’t the only ones who felt the way we did.

It is a super good restaurant. I have tried to reserve a table for a long time. You can see many people waiting outside in summer time. The food is so delicious with very high quality ingredients. We were not hungry and just ordered light food, but I will be back again to try more.

Met up with some colleagues last week here for lunch. They were kind to provide us with a private area with a projector and screen, separated by a curtain. The food was delicious and service was impressive. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a place worth revisiting

I was at TT for a business meeting over dinner after reading all the positive reviews. I'm not a foodie which is why I don't pay too much attention to the food I consume especially over a business meeting. It was a Friday evening and as expected the place was packed. We luckily had a reservation but were initially given the worst table in the house, by the kitchen door. The staff soon realized we had a booking and gave us a better seat. Not the ideal scenario especially when the client is around. What happened next was memorable - we started with crab cake and calamari to complement the wine. The food just followed was by far the best meal I have had inn2 years (partly due to the pandemic). The waiting time between our order was less than 3 mins as though only our table was being served exclusively in a packed house (obvious not the case). To top it all the Tiramisu cake was to die for. For the first time I actually enjoyed my food over a meeting. I am going back for sure!

Pros +Excellent and professional customer service +Distinctively delicious and decadent tasting food (4/6) +Beautiful setting/decor Cons -Serving time (it was busy hour 7pm Sunday) -Portions -Prices -Cramped and LOUD -gratuity tacked on by default for table 6+ (would have left this out had they given notice during my booking) Details +Excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE from the moment I called to make a booking. As soon as I hung up, I already got a text confirming my booking details. Reception to server was friendly and professional. +TASTE - With a table or 6, I sampled everybody's plates and I would highly recommend bison, linguine and the lobster pasta. Very tasty dishes. However 3 of the pasta dishes (tamato sauce type) tasted like regular home made pasta. The bison had a unique distinct taste from your regular steak slightly sweet with a good beefy somewhat tender with a little chew to it (benchmark for very tender is wagyu A5 ribeye). The lobster dish was these toony shaped discs, maybe 1.5x the size of a toony that was filled with lobster I think. There were only about 8 discs I think, not very much. Linguine was very creamy and tasty, better than ur usual home made for sure. +ATMOSPHERE - overall setting is pleasing to the eye (other than too many tables jammed in here) -PORTIONS is my biggest gripe and will keep me from visiting again. 5 out of the 6 of us were left still quite hungry. Maybe 1.5x more of that dish would have been just right, maybe even 2x and you would be full. Pasta is not expensive, adding a bit more volume will not hurt your revenue stream significantly, in fact in the long run it would probably be beneficial to have customers leaving happy as they're more likely to return. This leads me to value for money. -PRICES not very well justified considering we all left with mixed feelings, torn between satisfying food but left with a nagging hunger. GRATUITY -CRAMPED AND LOUD during busy times in the evening, we all (group of 6) had to really speak up to hear one another across the tables. And speaking up just adds to the overall loudness of the crowd. In a luxury setting I expected a tranquil environenent, but this is more like a hybrid of bar/high end restaurant. Reminded me of a bustling union station, while I'm trying to walk to the washroom; trying to dodge servers carrying delicate glassware, weaving through tables, dodging other customers making their way or dodging the potential hazard of a customer sliding their chair out knocking you to the moon whilst making your way for a tinkle.

Good food and service. Ambiance could be improved. Very bright. Not overly romantic. Will come back though. Edit: We finally returned, two years later and for our anniversary. The food, as before, was awesome. Service was excellent and the lights were not too bright. Loved the experience and Gail and I both found ourselves asking why it took so long to come back. This is going to become one of our regular spots. Thanks team!!! New edit. Our 5th year anniversary and Jackie is taking care of us. She is amazing. Friendly, easy to talk to and quick with everything we need. If you are lucky enough to get her you will definitely enjoy your time here. Awesome place with awesome food and service.

This was our first time dinning and we were absolutely impressed. The venue has a wonderful ambiance. We had comfortable booth seating. Our waiter was excellent. He provided great suggestions and answered all our questions. The quality of the food was just spot on. Our seafood dishes were beautifully prepared and the tasted exceptional. It was my first time going into Trattoria Timone Ristorante, and I will definitely be coming back. When you first enter you are welcomed by friendly staff and are highly attended too. The atmosphere is calm and cozy with a sophisticated feel. The waiter was friendly and our food came fast and was still hot from the oven. The food itself is AMAZING and worth the price you pay. Overall experience 10/10!

Today was my first time coming here for my sisters birthday. She told me she ate here before and the food was really good so we gave it a try. First I have to say I was not impressed with our first server. She came off nice and I told her I was looking at the wine list and to give me a 2 minutes to look at the wine list and appetizers; she never came back. We waited 15 minutes and she started to serve other people to came in after us drinks and food and totally forgot about us. I then saw her asking another server to come and take care of us. No apology or to tell us that another server will be serving us. Thankfully that happened because we had a lovely server named Dina. She was the best and on point with EVERYTHING, and was very quick. She checked on us quite a few times and was amazing. The food was flavourful and came out very hot (which was amazing!) I would definitely recommend this restaurant because of the ambiance and the great service Dina had provided for us.

Was there on a busy Friday night. I ordered the Gnocchi. The flavors were great but fell short with the braised beef. I had probably 4 or 5 small pieces in a pretty large pasta dish. I wish there was more beef in the dish.

If there is one word to describe this restaurant it would be SOLID!! From food, service and atmosphere. Always an amazing experience. Love watching the show with the open kitchen. Always very entertaining. The chefs really know what they are doing. Highly recommended!!

Brought my staff here the other night for our overdue Christmas party... We were a table of 14 seated in a split back room. Food was good, service I thought was acceptable but not great, however upon speaking to a number of my staff after dinner, the consensus was the same... NEVER AGAIN. Hearing about some of the comments made by not only our waitress but also the manager were disgusting. I can't believe I actually tipped $100 above the 18% that was automatically added in. Anyhow, lesson learned, won't be back!

Went to my niece's engagement party the food was amazing the portions were a good size and the servers were great. I would suggest getting there a little bit earlier because checking took a while because of covid-19 protocols hopefully with a new QR code that will be simpler and faster.

Very friendly service, super yummy food... the Wild Mushroom and Leek Risotto is absolutely fantastic!! Picked up a special lunch for my daughter's birthday today :) I used a gift card that I had received as a gift. They could no longer process this type of card (too old?) but they still accepted it at face value... not something many places would do! Thank you for your kindness, generosity and delicious meals!!

We went here for our anniversary. I mentioned this when making the reservation and the server congratulated us when she came to take our order. The food was fantastic. The bruschetta is amazing and the crab cakes are even better. I had the pappardelle with duck and my wife had the wild halibut. We got great recommendations for wine and ended with the hazelnut-chocolate gelato. I'm coming back here again for sure.

First time at this restaurant, certainly the last. No change since Wolfgang Puck left abruptly - Same restaurant, same layout, center open faced kitchen. Food was above average however not excellent, pricing fair. The "acting" Front of House Manager needs to be repositioned within this company. She should not be let loose with the guests, table side manners absolutely offensive. First time I have ever eaten with a large group and had our meals auctioned off at the table. This is what pivot points are for - use them. Steak way over cooked - sent back, Manager did not address however is quick to let you know she is not a server and wont attempt server duties which is staggering. I would not go back, nor recommend. Even if the food was outstanding the sour taste of the service is embarassing.

My fiancé and I went here on February 16th for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were all very exceptional. We had the grilled calamari and the cheese board to start. I had the New Zealand Sea Bass and the lady had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon. We both enjoyed the food a lot! Our server made great recommendations as well. We will definitely be returning.

The service was very good. The atmosphere interesting. The food was disappointing. The pasta with alfredo sauce/white sauce was dominated by the mushrooms. It left an unpleasant heavy taste in your mouth. My angel hair pasta had some zucchini noodles hidden underneath the pasta. The shrimp we're good. Overall a disappointing meal. Most likely would it go back.

Went here for a birthday dinner in celebration of my little sister's 13th birthday! Definitely a restaurant that you need to book a reservation, we dined in the patio area. One thing I can advise is that the patio area is more so semi-casual attire, whereas inside dining area is semi-formal attire. People really dress to the nines inside! We ordered the Italian cheese board, house bruschetta, grilled mushroom salad, and Margherita pizza as starters which tasted amazing! For our entrées we ordered osso bucco, cioppino, and spaghetti bolognese. The osso bucco is definitely a must have. Sadly, the spaghetti bolognese was just too oily for our liking and the cioppino was a bit boozy and needed more bread or some sort of carb since it really wasn't fulfilling (it's a seafood dish, that's why) for the price it's labeled with. The staff were very considerate especially since the birthday girl was allergic to all nuts and gave her a special birthday dessert which really tied the meal and experience for her. Parmesan and pepper are offered for your meals. Very elegant place, definitely a great date spot (just not starting one out). Would definitely go here again to try out more Italian food from their menu!

My wife and I have been waiting for so long to try the place and we were excited to have a nice 20th anniversary dinner there however, we were shocked to see so many kids dining with their families. We asked the hostess not to sit next to a table with kids and her reply was “there are no kids inside”. What a disaster!!!! The google photos reflect that this restaurant is designated for higher end dining since the decorations, seatings, tables, lighting, pricing and dress code indicate that however, the moment you see strollers around, no coat service, and the hostess not knowing what’s going on inside their space then you’d know you are in the wrong place. It was unfortunate that I had high hopes to have a nice romantic dinner ruined by the so many kids around. I suggest adding kids meals on the menu and state that you are kids friendly restaurant, and lose the dress code if you intend to be a family friendly restaurant. Secondly, shrimp in the linguini was tough and we were not sure if it was overcooked or frozen.

Italian restaurants come and go with variable quality and consistency. Trattoria Timone is the exception. Have been going for years and its always amazing. Top food quality, imaginative offerings, great ambiance and service (shoutout to Steve). Even during COVID times when everybody has an excuse, portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. This place just never disappoints!!

Great Restaurant in an awesome location. The food was absolutely delicious. The Service was top notch. The decor was warm and inviting. Ordered several appetizers including the crab cakes, which were very delicious and cooked expertly - Not Oily at all. The Grilled Calamari - Exquisite! Mussels in Tomato Sauce - good to the last drop. Enjoyed the mains - Lamb, Veal Milanaise & Salmon were all cooked perfectly and had great flavors throughout. The Risotto was a little on the bland side. The wine selection and pairing options were great as well. Will definitely be back.

Nice restaurant. We really liked the dishes that were nice. However, two of the pastas weren't what we expected them to be. The butternut squash ravioli is sweet enough to qualify as sweet dish. Our waiter gladly replaced it. However, it did add a dent to our otherwise perfect evening. We lost appetite by the time the replacement arrived.

Great ambiance, lovely waiter and fabulous food! I had the beef carpaccio appetizer, lamb chops done medium and finished it off with a decadent chocolate mousse cake???? The manger of the place was so sweet and lovely!!!

Good atmosphere and good food quality. I found the service a bit slow compared with other restaurants in the same category. Will give it another try to see if there is any difference Update. Visited the restaurant again. The food is excellent. My guests were very happy. As a constructive feedback, the waitress should be a bit more pending of the tables for anything required, such as water or anything else. Otherwise very good. Will come back again.

Went for my wife's birthday and the experience was fantastic. Staff was attentive and very friendly. They try to make the night special and fun. The place looks cozy, inviting and i like the open concept kitchen so you can be assured for the cleanliness and see the chefs working hard while you enjoy your wine. The food was also 5 stars worthy. They had a feature menu for the night that included a fried artichoke and stuffed olives. We loved the artichokes. I hope they place that on the permanent menu. Also had the veal Marsala and Picatta. Veal was tender in both plates but have to give the big thumbs up to the picatta, the lemon and capers were sooooo good. The staff tried to push dessert but we were declining because we had birthday cake earlier, but when found out it was my wife's birthday they brought us a warm brownie cupcake with vanilla gelato....OMG... they were to die for. The Gelato was absolutely delicious and complemented the warm chewy brownie underneath perfectly.

My wife and I came here two weeks ago for our wedding anniversary dinner. This restaurant surpassed my expectations, the staff were very attentive, the food was exceptional and fine quality. The food was cooked very well and tasted absolutely amazing. I never had Venison before and this was my first time trying it; Highly Recommend! My wife loved her dinner as well. I would definetly recommend this restaurant to those looking for a fine dining Italian restaurant I know i am coming back here !

Came here to celebrate a birthday in a large group. It was a great experience. The food was great. Even though they don’t have a kids menu, they made simple pasta dishes as well as chicken strips and fries. I had the duck which I enjoyed. Grilled calamari and pizza were great appetisers

First time patron of this restaurant, great atmosphere the staff are very friendly and very attentive. Food was delicious and prices are reasonable. Came down for my birthday they surprised me with birthday dessert at the end of the night which is very nice to see, I will be definitely coming back here. Recommend it if you're in town.

Haven't been in awhile but once again they didn't disappoint. Excellent friendly and accommodating service, food absolutely delicious!!! Worth every cent. The manager was nice enough to check up on us even though they were extremely busy but still prompt service. Executive chef seems to run a kitchen with precision on a very busy night. I inquired being italian myself and he is from Sardinia region, that alone made me smile. Highly recommend this place. Salute!!

For the price, the food was a little underwhelming. I wish the osso bucco was better seasoned and more tender - maybe the portion I got was super lean which made it more dry and tougher than I would have liked. The grilled calamari and oysters were great! Note that the pistachio gelato seemed to be vanilla flavoured with pieces of crushed pistachio, rather than made from pistachio paste. Delicious nonetheless!

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the GTA. Ordered Caprese, Grilled Mushroom Salad, Mixed Grill, Linguine Pescatore, Crème Brulee and Cheese Cake. Everything was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed every bit of it. Tables were far apart.

Great Trattoria! First time we tried this restaurant! We went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we had a really memorable moment! We tried the calamari and the beef carpaccio, both to die for! Pizza and paella risotto! Pizza was good for a non wood oven made pizza! The risotto was a bit bland but it was worth the try! Do recommend trying the martinis! Oh, the Tiramisu is the best tiramisu you’ll try a outside of Italy! Real home made tiramisu!

Consistent wonderful experience at this restaurant. Flavours of the food is spot on. Favourite dish is the eggplant parmigiana- immersed in rich sauce and not soggy( authentic) The steaks were scrumptious, perfectly seasoned, accompanied by pillowy mashed potatoes. Lychee Sangria was refreshingly delightful and the cappuccino was two thumbs up. Service was out of this world by Onofrio, who delivers beyond expectations consistently. Divine dining experience. Just finished celebrating our daughter's communion. 5 stars is not enough to rate this establishment. Should be 100 stars! They made our celebration feel special and safe at the same time. Well, it is probably the 14-th month of pandemic in the world's most locked down city/area. Still.... One of the best dinners my family and I shared in these challenging times!!! We ordered early as it was our anniversary. We were given a very precise time: 5:50 and I was there at exactly that time. In a matter of seconds lovely and "I mean business" Dina and her assistant showed up with the order and I had to fumble and put my phone away to grab the food. Everything was packed very nicely and carefully. When I got home we unpacked and started to enjoy the dinner. And what a dinner!! Excellent food. Every single item that we ordered was super tasty, very nicely packed and presented. We had the Antipasto Misto and the Italian Cheese Board for starters: Amazing, great mix of Italian meats and cheese. The Veal Saltimbocca was excellent, the mushroom sauce really gets the entire meal together and goes really nice with a Chianti (Rocca delle Macie in our case). The Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom/Masala Wine was also greatly appreciated by my lovely spouse. We also enjoyed some nice desserts: the Creme Brulee (one of my favourites and made to the point) and the Baked Apple Crumble Tart. Sadly I have only one photo because the food was cleaned off the plates in no time :)) Thank you very very much Monsieur Chef and the entire staff at the Trattoria Timone for a memorable dinner!

This was my first experience at Trattoria and definitely a memorable one. The hostesses offered both my preference of indoor or outdoor dining. I selected indoor and the atmosphere was phenomenal. I have been wanting to dine here and was celebrating my birthday for the evening. The food was impeccable and savory. They were exceptional to customize our orders. On the other hand the service was disappointing. The waitress was not delightful from the moment she took our order until the end when I asked her name, Sylvia. Her service was deplorable and repugnant I might add. I found her to be curt and discriminatory towards myself and my husband as a visible minority. I could see it in her face and body language. Her tone of voice was distasteful and service terrible. I was appaulled, as I observed her with another table, after taking our order, when she was letting them know she was their server, she took their napkins from the table and put it on their laps. Clearly of the opposing visible minority. She definitely did not extend that courtesy to my husband and myself. I mentioned that I was there for my birthday 2 times subtly and she said nothing. I have never experienced that lack of acknowledgment at any restaurant. The only thing that Sylvia did was bring out a birthday desert and by then it was too late for her to recover her overall actions for the course of the evening. I recommend the food as it's worth the wait. The service I received, as the first time dining at a restaurant I was looking forward to diminished due to the lack of pleasantries. Service is key.

Very enjoyable dinner! The beef in "mixed grill" was so soft and juicy, I didn't have enough! Escargot was good and so is the mussels. The seafood pasta has so much seafood and the sauce was amazing. Wasn't very crazy about the sauce on the side of the tiramisu, was just straight alcohol... nice interior and service~ Will for sure come back!
