The Keg used to be a special place to go. We came in for my husband's 50th birthday today and purposefully made a reservation for 5pm to avoid crowds. You'd think that would mean we'd get exemplary service but it didn't. We picked it because it's walking distance and meant I could enjoy a drink or two. While the blackberry daiquiri was tasty, it really didn't seem like 2 Oz to me. The server said he saw them add it but I didn't get a sense of that, buzz wise and I'd already had a glass of wine an hour earlier. Appetizers were decent, the bacon wrapped scallops and neptune mushrooms. We opted for classic Keg dinners of prime rib and sirloin with lobster and shrimp. The Caesar salad seemed like they needed to better drain the lettuce. Dinner itself was just okay. My steak was tough and by then I'd lost my will to be there or give feedback. I was defeated. $190 with tip. We still tipped 15% bc of the pandemic but it was more like 10 percent service. No way were we going to tip 20. It felt like as more patrons arrived, our server was overwhelmed and was mostly there to drop dishes at the table versus do proper check in. There were long periods where we were just waiting for him. I appreciate the birthday ice cream cake but on a night that was supposed to be special, it felt like any other mediocre steakhouse dinner.

I visited The Keg last Thursday for my birthday. It was the first time attending this restaurant in over 10 years. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the cleanliness, welcoming aura, and friendly staff working at the front desk. Vytautas was our server and he was above and beyond incredible. He was social and knowledgeable about the menu. He had a great sense of humour and was attentive to our needs. He ensured we felt comfortable and showed commitment towards making our experience great. My family and I discussed how amazing our dinner was and I just wanted to share a warm thanks to V for all the hard work, and customer service excellence exuded by him. It was a great birthday!

Where: The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Montreal, Quebec What: A steakhouse chain at Place Ville Marie. How was it: It was alright. Generally you can count on having a good steak with potatoes at any Keg restaurants. This place is no different, but it's gotten to feel very synthetic, generic and predictable. It's quite expensive also with many other alternatives in the city. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3.5 Recommend: Yeah, it's a nice place for beef. It's a little on the expensive side though.

Not as good as in the past. The food was Luke warm and the baked potatoes were almost twice baked and seemed like they were prepared days before. The cooked veggies were not fresh at all. My steak was more blue rare than medium rare. Service was good until the end when she disappeared.

The food was perfect, the staff provided excellent service and the bartender was on the ball - even googling when we ordered drinks they didn't recognize. Ambiance was pleasant for a casual and social dinner out. Food was as good as may be expected. We were turned off by the waiter 'pushing' while taking our orders. It's when you get one word answers to your questions about the food. Moving eye contact away so that you don't follow up with another question. Subtle message was 'let's just move along, order what the menu says and finished'. He wasn't disrespectful just unnerving. It maybe the weekend crowd pushing service and attention time to limits but as it was our first time we visit the Keg while visiting Canada, it wasn't a great first impression. Sorry!

I remember a time when the Keg brand use to stand for quality and impeccable service, use to be one of my go to places downtown. A couple weeks ago went with a friend and had the worst restaurant experience in a long time. We looked at the menu and ask our waiter for some classics we use to enjoy and they were no longer on the menu so we asked him if he could recommend certain things and he seemed to be unfamiliar with the menu. We ended up ordering sliders and we asked him if these were the same as before and his response was we only have these ones and the ones on the kids menu so we said ok. When our food came the sliders were not burgers but roast beef and instead of the shrimp we ordered he brought us some sort of mushroom dish when we said that's not what we ordered he went to get a different waiter who actually brought us the shrimp. Then the manager came over and he was actually really nice and explained to us that the sliders we ordered were no longer on the menu and that the new waiter had no idea they were ever there in the first place but he himself remembered how they were a best seller but they got removed from the menu and he asked us to write to the head office to complain about it. Isn't it his job as the manager to report to the head office? I am there as a client, I am telling you we got the wrong order and bad service and now you want me to do you job for you as well? Not sure if it's the merger with Cara or something ales but the Keg has clearly lost it's magic.

Go to place whenever in Montreal. Steak is ALWAYS done PERFECTLY. but this time I had arctic char, it was delicious, served with mashed cauliflower which was also yummy BUT NOT ENOUGH! It was literally 1 tablespoon full. For nearly $40, a other spoonful or two would have MADE this dish awesome. Service is always good too.

I called a while back to take a reservation and not sure why but the person I spoke with was so rude. I greeted them and said I just wanted to take a reservation and the lady responded in such a rude tone saying “we’re booked so it wouldn’t work for tonight, have a great evening!”... I never once said tonight and even if you assumed is it that tough to be nice?! Then in the end I asked if they did anything for a special occasion and I was told “yep a cake.. okay see you on your reservation date” and I said okay that’s great as we are celebrating... (by the time I could complete that she just hung up) Disappointed with The Keg. Always been my favourite restaurant, but I am shocked at the bad customer service. Definitely not going to make it to my reservation...

I usually enjoy eating at this place but this last time not so much. Our waiter kind of made the experience dull. Rarely did he smile, he did not really look like he wanted to be there. We waited some time for anything to happen at our table for our appetizer, water refills... Our highlight though was seeing this other waiter engaged the people at his tables. He was fun, energetic, and made the menu come alive! He interacted with each person even a baby. He really appeared to love what he did so much so that we wished he was our waiter, we even knew his name (Jean-Pierre aka JP) versus our waiter's name. At the end of our meal which then became ok, we just wanted to leave to end the dull experience. Sad to say, it was our wedding anniversary dinner and we didn't even want to stay to enjoy their dessert menu :(. Hopefully, we forget this experience and return again someday.

HORRIBLE experience and would not recommend this location to anyone! I have been to previous Kegs and have never received cold food in the past or horrible customer service like I did today. Christina their manager was very rude in dealing with our inquiry. She said well we make mistakes and wasn’t apologetic for our experience. Not sure what kind of manager comes out with that kind of attitude. I am beyond disappointed that we waited over half an hour for our bread to be served then on top of that our plates came out cold. I wish I took a picture of the plate since my steak did not even look like an 8OZ steak and the veggies were two yellow peppers and cut up asparagus. Wouldn’t recommend and I would hire a new manager!

Two years ago I had a very bad experience both with the food and the service and didn't want to come back ever again to The Keg. Recently we got as a present a gift card and came back to use it. Today was totally different. We got a table right away without any delays. The service was very good. The waitress came to our table several times to find out how we were doing. The food was great. My boyfriend and I came to this location while on vacation. My steak came out Medium even though I asked for Medium-Well. The manager came out to apologize and got me a whole new plate of food! Towards the end of the meal, our waitress gave us the dessert menu and said that it's 'on the house' because they cooked my steak incorrectly. The service was great but our waitress had a little bit of attitude. Overall, it was an excellent dinner and we both had a great time!

Had such a fun time here! I was traveling alone for business, and decided to sit at the bar to watch baseball (World Series) with a nice meal. Ended up meeting a few great people and had a bunch of drinks. The bartenders were very friendly, and seemed to be enjoying themselves, which made it easy for the customers to have fun. Food was very good too! Had the blackened baseball sirloin (I believe), which was recommended by the lady I sat next to at the bar.

As a single woman, they shuffle you to the furthest table every.single.time. They are ashamed of singles going to dinner in their restaurant. On a beautiful sunny day, they sat me up against the wall next to the fireplace, when there were 4 tables open in front of the fireplace, with no view, not even of the fireplace. The terrace outside was half empty, but NOOOOOOO, they have to hide the single women. Put them in the kitchen if they could. BACKWARD, PRIMITIVE PLACE. I WILL NO LONGER EAT THERE.

The music volume is obnoxiously loud with two different channels of music playing at the same time in different parts of the restaurant, but they play so loud you hear both. I would not return because of this. It's very distracting and for the price, I expect a more tasteful atmosphere.

Really nice steakhouse, the price tag is not too high for that kind of fancy restaurant. The dress code is casual/chic. It was our anniversary dinner. Party of 2. Covid proticols in place, booked a dining time and were allotted 1.5 hours for dinner. Service was professional, quick and food that were supposed to be cold were cold and those that are supposed to be hot were HOT! Veggies were a little under done for my liking but the filet was wonderful and cooked perfectly. Serving sizes were generous. A great evening.

WORST meal ever!! Does not even deserve 1 star! Company meal so had to go, but normally would never go to this...what ever it is! Dry, grossly over cooked fish with insipid sides! No flavour in the cauliflower mash whatsoever! A cook at a cheap diner could do better! It's unbelievable that such awful food is actually served. If u offer fish on your menu then learn how to cook it!! Apps were no better!! Normally, I would return a meal this bad, but it would have been rude as I was not paying. If u appreciate good, even average food don't go here or to any Keg for that matter. Shame that such places are in business! Service was adequate with the waiter calling us his "friend" as in " Are u finished, my friend?" What the ?? The ONLY food item that was remotely ok was the bread!

I used to love coming here until I started encountering anomalies frequently (during different visits) Once I almost ate a grocery tag that was in my red pepper. The stake quality is average, it seems to me like they are losing quality with time. For the price I would expect better quality.

We visited the place few days ago... It was crowded for a dine in experience during Covid 19... Tables had white dust... Bathrooms not as clean or sanitized as they should be. Plates looked so cheap (not the way The Keg plates should be) my child and myself shared a raw vegetable plate and ended up with stomach flu ( she has very high fever!!!) and stomach pain, our doctor said the food we were served must had been not cleaned or someone was sick served it. Thank you The Keg for a horrible experience after Being in a lock down for 7 month!!! This was our first time eating outside!!!!

I was seated rapidly, however after ordering it took a lot of time for the food to get there. I went at around 3 PM in the middle of the week, hence there was not much people. Why did it take so long? The food was 9/10 and the quantity for the price is not reasonable. I ate better at other steakhouses per say. However, the quality was good, so it was worth it. Would I come again. Yes, but if I am hungry it will be elsewhere. Music was a bit loud and they were playing hiphop/rnb, and for a steakhouse... it was not pleasant. The resto is clean, so that was good.

I went there with my girlfriend and I liked the customer service, especially from the manager. The cook made two mistakes on my order but the situation was quickly resolved and the manager didnt make me pay on the items where mistakes were made. This place is a littlebit pricey but the quality of the food, the options on their menu and the quantity of whitin the plate are worth it. The ambiance is cozzy and the employess also know what they are doing.

We've been several times and we're always happy with the food and service. Excellent rib steak and filet mignon. For appetizers we either take the neptune mushrooms or snail-stuffed mushrooms, they are delicious. We also love the atmosphere which is trendy yet cozy and relaxed. It does get busy occasionally which may result in some waiting, so it is best to call in advance to reserve a table. Best downtown steakhouse!

Drove from Boston to Montreal via Vermont after stopping at a friends house. enjoyed some Cubans at Stogies and asked for a tip on dinner. The advice was The Keg Steakhouse and Bar. Arrived 1 hour before the hockey game and the place was of course, packed. We were told half hour wait and received our alert token. Shortly after a waitress asked if we had our token, took our beer order and went to fetck our beers. She returned shortly to tells a table was about to open up ask ed us to follow and "hover". We did and sat a minute later.Our waitress, Jessica, let us change our order of beer to wine and we chose a J Lohr Cab. Jessica was back quickly with a fresh bottle opened, tasted and enjoyed two generously sized pours. The ordered filet mignon and rib-eye were cooked to perfection ( med-rare) and delicious. The sides of twice baked potato and vegetables ( string beans and red peppers) were also perfect. We were able to walk to the Bell Center and arrived just before the puck was dropped

A little on the pricey for the size of steak + lobster you get. The lobster tails are deceptively small. They come in a large shell but when you pull out the meat there's way less than you expect. Service is very good and attentive. They have a good selection of drinks and cocktails as well.

Started off great, then came Mercedes, a so called sever who made my wife feel horrible... on her birthday. She was condescending and rude the entire time. It felt like a lecture. We are both very quiet people , and couldn't believe how bad this person made our experience. This was supposed to be a celebration. Oh and the so called manager said "some people don't know how to take her. REALLY? I will NEVER go back to this place. It is mismanaged full of insolent people. Rant over. This a convenience restaurant for me. It's close to work so it makes a great lunching spot but it's also close to some of the downtown hotels which means that come conference time, most people are going to want to meet up there. There are two negative points. Bear with me on those because they don't matter to everyone: 1. if you order ice tea, they bring you a watered down mess that looks like dirty water and tastes like it too. 2. their bills contain some code elements that clearly mean that their system is not secure....I'm just giving the short end explanation here. Anything where I give my credit card number...I'd love to be sure it's safe and there is no off chance of having problems.

The management can not take any criticism because they are always right and the waiter was inappropriate which was pretty frustrating because they sent him to speak in Spanish with us (just because we complained and the manager heard us talking in Spanish) and he felt too comfortable which made it annoying after a while.

We had a gift card for the keg so we thought we may as well use it in Montreal! Well we were beyond happy with the food and service. I had the drink special for Friday and it was delicious and only $5. My husband and I split the nachos and they were beyond delicious. The nachos were also on the happy hour menu and only $12 which was a very reasonable price! We ordered extra sour cream and didn't even get charged. We had two different servers and both were extremely talkative and friendly. We would highly recommend going back. We arrived before 4 and had a seat as soon as we arrived but it got very busy very quickly. So heads up you may have to wait. The prices and food for happy hour were great! We would go back!

My brother and I walked in without a reservation in hopes to get a table despite the new restrictions to celebrate my birthday. At first we were told that we wouldn't be able to get a table as they were fully booked for the night. Luis went above and beyond and he contacted one of the reservations to see if they were still coming in. He notified us that they cancelled and they were able to host us. Right off the bat we already had a great experience! It did not end there! Our waiter Samuel was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive and he constantly checked in on us. The food is always spectacular at The Keg! This was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend visiting this location and supporting the business during these unprecedented times! I love their steaks! A bit pricey restaurant but everything is so tasty so I dont mind. You get on the house a bread with butter before you get what you've ordered. We ordered pinacolada and sangria which were good and new york steak and another i dont remember the name which was 20 oz. We chose baked potato as a side which came with bacon,sour cream and more-you can choose not to have it. The service was nice, and their washrooms looks like rooms in a hotel. Definitely will return.

My family and especially myself have been loyal The Keg Oakville patrons since the restaurant opened at this location many years ago. Having always enjoyed good food, service and value compared to other higher priced options. On Saturday February 8th we were expecting nothing less than the same. Sadly, this was not the case; we were sorely disappointed by how management of The Keg Oakville handled the situation. First, I have high standards, yet seldom complain and my wife refuses that we return food. I will try to brief and to the point here... four of us arrived in a great mood looking forward to another great experience. Everything started out well. Good timely, knowledgeable service in the bar area (where we ate), we had drinks, ordered (very good) wine, enjoyed our salads. Than the issues started when the steaks arrived. For anyone who reads this and knows me well will be shocked by what I'm about to say; I started to eat my Rib Eye and it wasn't only beyond rare (I am known to eat very rare) but it was raw and uncooked (cold) in the middle. The server was perfect! She asked "is there a problem" as I was noticing this, and she offered to reheat (not a good option) or replace in 8-10 min. I chose to replace especially since the steak was also a grizzled, poor cut for a rib eye. Approximately 5-10 minutes later the manager came to the table with a plate. NOT with a new steak but with the original now cold and proceeded to educate me and our table in an abrupt way on how meat is cooked. She was clearly agitated and in no way apologized or provided an explanation. To say I was surprised and irritated would be an understatement. I will not say anything but that I am acknowledged for my (amateur) abilities to select beef, cook and present steaks in particular. She was not educating us in any way and this was one of the worst examples of handling a situation I have ever heard of, much less experienced. I cut her off, told her how unimpressed we were with how abrupt and conversely rude she was being and (full disclosure) unacceptably uttered an F bomb (once), which she quickly than focused on me. I immediately apologized and sent her on her way telling her to bill me for everything and that this (review) would happen and we would never return. Later the general manager came by and did a masterful job of not apologizing and not offending us. He threw in comments like "people have different opinions". My wife told and showed him before I could speak that all of the other three steaks were also not cooked to order. He looked at them and immediately agreed. He told us that he would credit for all the steaks. I made it clear this was NOT our objective, only that we were disappointed based on only good past memories. It was apparent by this time that he was not concerned about servicing us. Just moving on, as we were as well. Finally, the food itself was the problem. I had to send it back to the kitchen. This was not the server's fault, it is a problem with the chef(s). We ordered four steaks two rare (both arrived raw), one medium rare (blue rare) and one medium well (medium rare). This should never happen at a reputable steakhouse. Bottom line, we were surprised how the management of The Keg Oakville conducted business this way, especially after all our years of good experiences.

We decided to celebrate my mother in laws 65th birthday at the Keg. Everything was great includind our waitress, with the exception of the big elephant in the room. Who in the hell decided that a Tomato with nasty processed cheese was a better option then the nice vegetable medley that usually comes with our meal. Everyone at our table was very disappointed with that. I would suggest changing it back to what it was before. It actually takes away from the quality that the Keg has always had.

Obviously, coming in here, you already know it's going to cost money. But they did not disappoint, I took the special of the day and their steak was well prepared. I asked for medium rare and I got a medium rare. Service was really nice too, the waiter wasn't rude or anything and he looked like he was enjoying what he was doing which makes the service experience even better. The people in the kitchen forgot my side dish and he brought it to me with no problem.

I literally love going to the Keg. We try to go at least once per month either me snd the family or me and the girls. We went to Oakville Keg last night and reserved the patio. Service was excellent although it was sooo cold it is not heated enough. We had our coats on and were shaking. The heaters were so high up they were not even positioned above each table, some were not working. When the food came out ot was obviously cold. Waiter wss excellent but wont go back to that keg in oakville Updated to a 5star Spoke to Manager went back last night Great amazing.. Todd was our awesome server Food was sooooo good. We will be back even though we live close to sherway we will make the drive. The visit before (3 months ago), my mum had an issue with her steak. The manager, Matt came right over to determine what the issue was & found a solution in no time! I thought I would try Keg take out last Saturday night for mother's day and it was terrible. I had arranged to pick it up st 630pm and it was 20 min late. Very solid chain steak house. I've been here half a dozen times and the service has always been great and the steaks are pretty decent. Ambiance is not too loud and not too bright. However, when I got home, I discovered I was missing an item. I called and they actually delivered the item to my house within 20 min. Even the salad was top notch! Ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Steak was cooked to perfection and probably the best I've ever had. Warm bread, great wine choices, and their small brownie dessert was massive and amazing! Our server Morgen was attentive but not over bearing and made some great suggestions. I tried a dish with steak and lobster on this location, firstly, the server didn't hear I said add the lobster on my order, he ordered me an other lobster dish, that I didn't mind, but only i have to eat a lot of vegetables on that day. secondly, the food doesn't taste as good as the one at DT toronto. But over all, it is not a bad experience. I hope their food taste could improve a bit, cause I really like The Keg Steakhouse.

They forgot to bring the baked potatoe that I ordered, but even myself I realized that basically at the end of my meal. I mentionned it to our waiter who offerered me to bring it right way. Told him that I was finished anyway and did not mind at all, that it was fine. He offered me a free desert but I'm not a desert eating person and again told him it was fine. When I got the bill, the manager didn't charge me for meal! I didn't ask for anything in return and didn't expect that. This is how much they care about the service, something really rare nowadays. Will always keep comming to The Keg.

We came to the Keg last weekend but we ended up waiting almost 2 hrs to be seated because of a mixup. The manager gave us free drinks to compensate which was real nice. Food was great as always. The only complaint I have is about one of the hostesses that seats you, blonde that never smiles. Last time we came here, that hostess seated us and never smiled. This time, she didn't serve us but we saw her often enough passing through the bar area and never smiled once. Someone hates their job.

The last stop on our bar crawl. Great service as always from The Keg. Super friendly right from the get-go. Speedy service and plenty of recommendations. Our server knew his stuff and probably has to explain steaks to people a lot. Few cocktails here were all great, I enjoyed my Caesar. Got the prime rib sliders & crispy cauliflower. Both dishes were great and what you'd expect. Nice tender thick cuts of prime rib with a surprisingly spicy horseradish(that we were warned about twice). Au Jus could have used a little extra salt, great otherwise. Haven't been to the keg in a few years and it was nice to drop by for a few drinks and apps.

Usually love the Keg but really underwhelmed with today’s experience. Ordered a 6oz steak cause i’m not a big eater and it came with a huge vein right through the middle. Probably only ended up being able to eat 3oz. Would have loved to have told our waiter however he was never around and I wasn’t about to march around the restaurant with my plate looking for him to tell him what was going on. They also told us that we had a 1h45 minute limit on our table and we were there that whole time (even though we didn’t want to be) because our waiter seemed to be missing in action all night. We finished eating and sat with our dirty dishes for 20 minutes before he came around, then waiting for the bill for 10, and then sat with the bill for another 10 minutes waiting for the machine. Lastly, when we booked the reservation, we told them that we were celebrating a birthday however they didn’t do anything to make it special. Not sure why they would ask if we’re celebrating anything in the first place… Really disappointed

Update: the manager was lovely. She called me back and remedied the situation. While we couldn't eat our meal, we really appreciate the excellent customer service. The food was cold. The steak was dry. Instead of grilled veggies (asparagus and red peppers) like there used to be, we received hard and undercooked sweet potato cubes and exactly three pieces of broccoli. .

The servers were so organized and the systematic cooperation was very good. Kind of like a good tv cable programming but no on demand. First downside was we arrived with a group of 4 but when we arrived we realized we only have 3 masks. Since they had many open tables outside We asked if one of us get sited without a mask as no mask is needed outside or if they can give us a mask, they said no you are not allowed to sit if you do not have a mask on while the other entrance (exit) was just beside our table. The manager also said we do not have masks, since it seemed they only had special black masks. But did not also have any spare masks for such situation, considering the availability and the low price of masks it seems a bit not friendly. Assuming someone's masks drops to floor. The manager's solution was only 3 can enter and some one brings one of masks out for the 4th person entrance. Meaning we use each other's used mask. The manager was not flexible at all and i wished I could go and find a place to purchase a pack when i realized this what was we were doing. Or find another solution to be more helpful, maybe give us a handkerchief or paper towel as a temporary mask to just take the few steps between the outdoor tables to our sit. The place has a classy vibe but with kind of intimidating atmosphere. The staff give you the feeling. They brought a small candle with some liquid on top container and put it on the center of the table and when I asked why only our table has that candle at the end, the waiter said that it was the butter for my lobster. He could have mention that it belonged to my food, but he told me to know it for the next time. Food (stake with lobster) was also a bit salty for my taste, as it is in most restaurants. Stake quality acceptable and good but I can not say the best. I loved the baked potato very much though. One other issue was although our waiter checked on us two times but, we could not find him when we needed something, while it was not busy at all.

One of the best experiences we have ever had. You will not regret anything on the menu, and expect to bring home leftovers. Get reservations if you can! We called to make a reservation for 5pm, which was full. We arrived at 5pm, and sure enough, a table was available. Steak is wet aged, juicy, tender and well seasoned.. The sides awesome as well. We were so full! We were offered dessert, which we decided to bring home and enjoy with our leftovers (which we have a lot of!). Not only is the food incredible, but the service is amazing. Our server was quick, polite, great at suggestions. The experience was so much better!

Enjoyed a really good filet mignon and lobster with my husband... Service fabulous... Only criticism is that my amaretto stone sour should have been a bit more generous,it was delicious though... Another small suggestion, a bit more light at the table while ceiling lights could be less glaring... Definetly will go back!

If you are looking for a good and affortable steak, it’s the place to go. Always quality food and if any mistake on the cooking, chances are you won’t pay your steak (in addition of getting a new one). It’s a busy place so you need to level with the staff as they are usually rather busy, so sometime service can be slow. If you are in a hurry, might not be the best place, but if you have time, sit down and enjoy. You can park inside the Place Ville-Marie and walk your way inside.

I went there for dinner Dec 19, 2019 with a friend. I had the calamari as an appetizer and it was very good. We also ordered the garlic cheese toast and it was burnt. We had to convince our server that it was burnt before she would replace it. My main was the barbeque ribs and they were not tender, so I did not enjoy them. Finally, dessert was the brownie caramel sundae and it was disappointing. The brownie was cold and hard and there was not enough hot fudge and caramel on it....as if it had all been thrown together in a bowl. I have no desire to eat at this location again.

Wow!...Simply amazing! The NY strip was out of this world...very underrated steak house...better than Gibby's and Moishes for quality and pricing! Went back for a Friday lunch at the PVM loaction with 8 co-workers and had one of the worst steak served in my life. Hard with full of hard fat. Just horrible! I had the lunch special NY strip with mushroom sauce. A total embarrassment to the Keg to serve such a steak. Not sure who checks the quality or who cooked it but they should not be working there! As good as the first review was the second review trump it! Going forward, we will cut our visits for Friday lunches at the Keg!

I have to say I had one the best experiences tonight ordering pick up from the Keg. It was my mom’s birthday and we ordered our food along with a billy miner pie to celebrate. To our surprise the pie was not in the bag when we brought it back home. A little disappointed I called and let them know we had not received it and that it was her birthday. Without hesitation the man working ( wish I got his name) said he would bring it to our home asap along with a second pie !! I was so shocked and said that was too much and I would come and get it. But he insisted and said it would be at our house as we finished dinner in 10 mins,( keep in mind they are not doing delivery and he was not a delivery man). Anyways I thought it was the kindest thing and truly amazing customer service. 10/10 great people and would recommend.

Decent menu at fair prices. The ambiance is a little rowdy and the clientele is a mix of young party people, business men and some couples here and there. First thing I noticed was their lighting. It was so dark, it took my eyes a little while to adjust after walking in. The hostess on the René-Levesque entrance greeted me but my eyes we still adjusting so it took me more than a few seconds to respond to her and so she responded back in a very rude manner. The wait was not as long as we had expected and the waiter was nice. The drinks and food arrived rather quickly. I asked for a medium rare steak but they gave me a medium. Everyone one else got their medium rare just right. Bottle service wasn't great. Perhaps because they were busy. One of us got up to refill our glasses. At the end of the night, we noticed one of the bills was charged with a meal and a cocktail none of us had ordered. And right before leaving we were trying to take a picture and a different waiter offered to take one for us so everyone would be in it. Overall it's a cozy and friend place. I wouldn't return because I love it there but if friend and family want to get together, the keg is a good enough casual steak place.

Delightfully surprised by my visit. The New York Strip was perfectly cooked. Decent craft beer in the fridge at the bar. Staff is special though. Hostesses, plural, were generally clueless and unhelpful getting us through reception. Floor managers running around acting extra. Plates, drinks, menus were thrown on the table as if I were eating at a chain burger joint. Only members of staff who seemed to have it together were bartenders. But the food was good so overall ????

I've only ever had good experiences here - and that includes getting sick. I actually got sick from fish I ate here and told the manager the next day in which he followed up and did a complete overhaul of the kitchen to make sure no one else got sick. He also provided us with free dinner! I honestly think that made all the difference - it made me return! I think I just got unlucky with that fish, because everything else ive ever eaten has been fabulous

My family and I come here maybe twice a month, and after experiencing subpar service at the new restaurant next door, I can say that nothing will shake our loyalty. The Keg is a classic, the food is fantastic, the service is like their prime rib. When it’s good, it’s fantastic, and even when it’s bad, it’s good. But they are always fantastic. This is a place who knows who they are and they’re good at being themselves, consistently the best.
