Here you will see all the opinions of real people like you who are purchasing the products and services of Mye 2 Japanese Restaurant (Restaurant) around Oakville territory (Canada).
Nowadays this business gets a rating of 4.2 stars over 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite high, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Japanese restaurant.
Lovely place with quality sushi that melts in your mouth. Must try the in house green tea ice cream with red bean!
I ordered Sashimi Lunch with brown rice for lunch with my friend. The sashimi was very fresh and the miso soup that came up with it was delicious. The server was very friendly and the service was very quick. It was an awesome experience! I will definitely come back with my other friends.
Always friendly service and very attentive. We love the ramen and drunken chicken. Highly recommend.
Mye 2 is not always five star (usually around a 4) but it was tonight. Bean curd and edamame appetizers were likely the best we have ever been served. Beef Yakiniku was so tender it could have been consumed through a straw. Don’t come here if you are looking for volume for money just head east on Dundas Street as it is littered many all-you-can-eat establishments.
Food was excellent, service was slow but all and all very good!
Nice Japanese food place, like the ramen there and fried chicken.
Always impeccable sushi and best ramen in GTA by far. We found this place few years ago when looking for sushi places to try and ramen was a great surprise.
Best sushi!
Nice atmosphere for a date but a bit overpriced for the food. Sushi dinner is $35 with 8 sushi and a few roll piece is way overpriced. But then there's not many options in the area. Better choices if you're willing to drive a little more to Mississauga.
Ordered once at the door and got my order just went today and they refused to take orders only through door dash ... anyway they are not that great
The sashimi is the best in GTA!!!! Fresh ingredients and wonderful, attentive staff. This is a must if you love sushi/sashimi :)
Food quality is high, good ambiance, but reasonably expected with the price. Service is slow during busy times.
This is the best sushi I have ever had, with a nice atmosphere
For the past 15 odd years I had been going to Mye on lakeshore in Oakville with my father, and we always enjoyed it, they truly have delicious Japanese food. Now with the second location Mye 2, the interior was more spacious then the original location, and they had UNi! My absolute favourite that a lot of Japanese restaurants don’t always have. We also ordered the oyster Rockefeller, which I barely ever see offered at restaurants and it was incredible! The maki rolls where delicious but not very big,it was however a little pricey, but that’s what you would get with a nice restaurant in general. If your a fan of sashimi and quality Japanese food it’s definitely worth the trip.
Authentic, fresh, perfectly prepared, beautifully presented Japanese cuisine. Not your run of the mill mass produced sushi place. Fairly priced and worth trying.
Excellent food, coupled with very good service. I eat here twice a month.
Sushi platter was prepared fresh and highly recommended. Next time we'll try the sashimi. Ramen noodle is to die for.
We enjoy our date nights at Mye 2. The servers are very pleasant to talk to. The food was melt-in-your mouth delicious. We love going here! See you again soon!
Dine in
We used to go to Mye (downtown) but started ordering take-out from Mye 2. I was hesitant at first to change our routine but I'm impressed with how the Mye team has handled the transition to drive-by, curbside pick-up. Smooth experience, and they still had my favorite sushi items!!! sad i won't be able to dine at the downtown location but happy we can still eat mye at home
We loved the food at this restaurant. We placed an order for pickup. My wife is celiac so we were very happy to be able to order Gluten Free sushi and wasabi. Will definitely be ordering from this place many more times in the future.
Very good. Portion, flavor, service and price
Best Japanese restaurant in the GTA hands down! The Sushi is made with passion and just melts in your mouth. The other food on the menu is also top class. If your feeling like a big spender, try the 7 course meal! You won't regret it and there is some secret items in that 7 course meal that are not on the menu!
Food was pretty good but not worth the price. Got a red dragon roll, it was $15, so I thought it would be big and with a big salmon on top- but it was small and only 6 pieces.
Amazing food. Been here a few times and never been disappointed. We usually spend a couple hours for lunch.
It’s not about the food, it’s the price doesn’t match the quality they provided. We two people spend literally over $100 before tips in here, expecting average restaurant food while they serve us food court quality sushi. I couldn’t understand how they got almost 4 star in both google and yelp. This is our first time and the last time having dinner here. Good luck.
Staff was really nice. But the restaurant was either really busy or understaffed. Rolls we're good, but kind of small, and the fish was a little tasteless and I feel there are probably better options for the price that they are charging.
Great tempura! Love the oysters.
We were only given half of our $150.00 order on pickup. We had to make a second trip as the staff were to lazy to make sure our order was correct. The fish was sub par and the rice did not come attached to the fish with seaweed bands. The rice was not good either
Freshest sushi in town! It’s a little place tucked away from view, we had to park and look to find this place! Plenty of parking. Very easily located by google maps. Inside, it’s clean and very tastefully decorated. The menu is simple, not overly populated by the many things available.. simple, easy to manage and order from. Started with a hot towel, customer service taken to a new level by a sushi restaurant. Our server was so sweet and kind, and very attentive. Chefs compliment, grilled fish and bean sprout salad with diced cucumbers. We ordered the teriyaki salmon with some vegetables, it was simply mouthwatering! It melted in our mouths. The vegetables should have been more for this dish, only let down... Ordered spicy salmon, spicy tuna, dynamite roll, and shrimp tampura, 6 rolls of each. Very delicious! To the last roll. It was a roll of total bliss with each bite. Only thing, it’s pricy. But you pay for quality. And quality can’t get better than here. Unprecedented vote. The best place to have sushi near us. We are definitely becoming regulars! Thank you for a great experience. Two ????s up.
We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. the crew were so friendly and we felt excellent. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommended.
The portion size is ridiculously small! Ordered the noodle soup. The bowl itself is big and the food portion is tiny. I thought I was served for leftovers from others. Taste wise, it is just mediocre. No wonder the business is so slow. I thought I can find an alternative from Pho 89 as I don’t really like that either. However, this is definitely a disappointment.
Food and service are both great! Reasonable prices. One of my new favourite sushi places in Oakville.
Amazing food and service, as always. Thanks Mye 2!
Come and try the oysters special. Really good and fresh. It does not has any bitter taste. If it cold a little bit would be even better
Very good food and service. Nice establishment.
Practically no service whatsoever. 7 of us sat there for half an hour and nobody cared to serve. It was kind of busy with two waitresses. We waved at them but they ignored. We were fed up and walked out.
The sashimi plate had a great variety of fish. The taste was good, not outstanding.
Fav sushi spot on the west end
Pricey place with buffet quality food.
We ordered the drunken chicken and ramen soup. The food was just ok but service is quick and attentive.
Amazing food!!
I have been to a A LOT of sushi restaurants, and this was definitely one of the worst, if not THE worst. My wife ordered the tempura dinner, and for $25+ it looked like someone exist fried up a bunch of things and dumped the whole thing in a plate, there was absolutely no presentation whatsoever. The tempura itself was very mediocre. I had a sushi dinner, the fish was not fresh and it was very unimpressive. I could've gotten better sushi for a cheaper price at almost any all you can eat sushi place. I do not recommend this place, go spend your money elsewhere.
Excellent quality. Decently priced. Really sad they closed down Mye in downtown, but Mye 2 is quickly becoming our new favorite.
family go to place. always good quality but menu doesn't change much.
Probably the worst service I've ever experienced in any restaurant. Servers were hiding in the kitchen from the dining room the entire evening, and putting on their pretend-tunnel vision when they finally left the kitchen. Servers were ignoring everyone. Food is barely-average quality (when we finally received it), but I just can't overlook the terrible service. The Halton region definitely needs more East Asian restaurants, but not like this. Drive past this place and go to any of the decent sushi restaurants in Mississauga, instead.
It was very nice atmosphere. Foods were good and tasty. Christine was our waitress. She was polite and friendly in professional manner. We made a reservation and they served us on time. Waiting time between orders were acceptable. My wife and I were really enjoyed.
Always excellent food and service. Chef John and Kenny are the best!
Ordered take out couple of times, I love their lunch sets and their black cod
My wife introduced me to this restaurant as a potential spot for client meetings. The atmosphere is very soothing and the service is quite attentive. I have been here on 3 occasions afterward and have yet to be let down. The food is great, but the costs can quickly get out of hand if you order too much. I would definitely recommend the salmon carpaccio, any of their meals with Yakitori, and their teriyaki’s. Maybe stay away from there tempura dishes as it might not be worth the cost.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience as most have posted. Iam sure this restaurant is good but got to the door and tried to flag Down someone after 5 minutes of my wife and I standing there. Ok, so went all the way to the back of the restaurant and finally got acknowledged. Went back to stand at the door, and wait for someone, after which we just decided it wasn't worth our money and time. Iam not one to post reviews but unfortunately this experience was so odd for a restaurant of this rating. I trust you en experience will be better than ours.
Amazing sushi! The service was top notch as well
almost same Japanese food in Japan
Totally ignore guests, only two waiter serving more than 10 tables. Waited for long time and not a single person led us to the table. Worst service ever.
Me and my partner have been to mye 2 twice, and both of the times we were impressed with the service, the quality and the atmosphere of this establishment. The first time we sat in and ate, and the second time we ordered take out, and both times the quality was excellent. I think it goes without saying that because we've only eaten from here twice we can't speak to their consistency, but we've eaten twice from many other sushi restaurants, 3 of which were from Oakville (Sachi and Wasabi&Teriyaki and Sushi Hour), and the quality varied much more. This restaurant is highly recommended, and I hope the establishment continues its trend of high quality sushi and service. We will continue to visit as much as we can.
Meh, sushi tastes like all you can eat quality for an a la cart price. I’d much rather drive to Toronto or Mississauga and pay the same price for better quality. Ramen...wasn’t horrible...but again, I’d rather drive to another city for this. I always drink all the soup, but this has a oily aftertaste, so I didn’t drink the soup at all. Service: all the waitresses were all bunched together gossiping about something and took a while for me to get their attention to add to my order.
Excellent service, and delicious food. The decor and mood in general are definitely a comfortable yet slightly formal dinner atmosphere.
Good place
Great black cod dinner and service
The chicken dish was not something i would order again.
Thank you for the great food and curbside pick up during the pandemic. We love all your food especially the tuna roll, California roll, tempura and teriyaki dinners!
Walked in and waited at the door for at lease 5 minutes, no greetings and guides received at all. You were not so busy guys, half of the seats were empty! We decided not to give this place a try as they don't seriously take you as a customer.
Great food!
Hands down the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to! Every dish here is top quality and never fails to be delicious. I always have to come here with my family every time I visit Oakville.
Try the bento box and the green tea creme brulee!
this was a last minute turn to grab dinner. checked with Siri and saw a 3 star rating... so we stopped and checked the place out, nice ambiance, nice staff, excellent food and service. this should have a 4.8-5 stars rating. price wise very reasonable. surely recommend this place.
Disappointing sushi. Bland and small pieces. Paid 70 dollars for what looked and tasted like sushi I could get in a cold bin at fortinos. Won’t be back.
Food is always phenomenal and service is top notch
Fresh fresh fresh
(Translated) It is always delicious. (Original) いつも美味しく頂いてます。
Great staff. Delicious food, eating here will make you understand why all you can eat is garbage.
All food was delicious!
Best Sushi in Oakville!
Decent food, a bit expensive. Would definitely recommend the green tea ice cream for desert.
Take out
Food is always good at the Mye2, service last night wasn't up to their normal standards.
Imo, this is the best japanese place of the many I’ve been to in Toronto, Mississauga and GTA. Their karaage is just heaven and for their maki roll, the meat-rice ratio is perfect. I dont know how they store their meat but it tastes like freshly bought. My favorite is the agemaki. It’s a bit pricey but its worth it. Try their chef special sashimi boat. Its fantastic
Authentic Japanese!
We just moved to Oakville from Toronto, and the reviews of this restaurant were certainly appealing. The bad reviews were bad so it was a bit concerning, but we decided to give it a go. We ordered: Teriyaki & Salmon Dinner - Chicken breast tasted like boiled chicken and was NOT good. My husband could not finish it and he is not picky with chicken! Teriyaki sauce was alright. Salmon could have been good when it was hot. As for veggies, their menu says "blanched" and I thought it would be seasoned. It was not, just plain blanched vegetables. It also came with a tiny spring roll mostly filled with red peppers. Dynamite Rolls - Smallest ones I've ever seen. Not bad, but not great. The overall portion was small which would have been fine if the food was delicious. Maybe we should have ordered sushi, but basic bento dinner is hard to mess up in my opinion. Unfortunately, we will not try again. :(
Good but very disorganized for pickup. Had to wait 45 minutes for a dinner for 3 order in the morning. Unacceptable...
Had a great dinner . Excellent sushi , and excellent service - nice clean simple decor - we will be back soon
This is our go-to-place for Sushi. We really enjoy the freshness of their food - its amazing! Great staff / customer service. Plus they can cater for gluten-free options as well. We look forward to our next visit!
Came here after the lunch hour rush so it was more quiet. Had the sashimi lunch and it was good. Service was prompt and friendly. Certainly going back for more.
Pricey, ok food.
Comfortable setting and the best Sushi that I have experienced so far.
Great sushi restaurant. Call ahead to reserve a table on the weekends.
Good quality food, nice/clean restaurant. I'd give a higher rating if the portions were bigger!
Since leaving Japan 5 years ago I have not been able to find a proper Japanese restaurant... Until now. All flavours were beautifully Japanese and the food was impeccable. Yes, it is a bit more expensive, but this is worth the price if you want proper, authentic Japanese food! おいしい!
If i could give more stars i would. Exquisite food. Highly recommend the spicy BC tuna roll and the beef yakiniku
Service is ok on Tuesday night, server was attentive. Food price on expensive side and small portion. Can't say taste great compare to other Japanese restaurant in this price range. Possibility eating here again: 30% Also the oyster on sale was very skinny, nothing like some pictures on review here, that's the sale quality I guess.
Absolutely no need to travel to Toronto to experience the best sushi. Mo Aoki takes pride in the quality of his food, including all the hot dishes. The proof of his commitment to outstanding Japanese cuisine is this restaurant (Mye 2), which is the second one he opened (the first one (Mye) is at Church and Navy). In this day and age of imitation Japanese restaurants, it's really nice to know you can get authentic food here.
Been to many so-called sushi places where they served rice and fish with no flavour, good sushi with a bill of $200 per person, fancy dating spot with loud music and stinky old gatsuo, giant disgusting sushi shape rice ball and of course sushi donuts. But as a Vancouverite, we never really found a restaurant that we could call "sushi-ya" for last 4 years while we were becoming Torontonians. Now we found one and I am so thankful for Mye restaurant for great service, sushi and nice warm o-cha. You just added a great reason for us to move to Oakville. I strongly suggest this place to people who knows sushi and sake.
Sashimi is amazing and the sushi was good. We experienced long wait times and waitress not attentive. Sometimes it seemed we were ignored.
Great Sushi place in Oakville with a modern feel. Service is great and the food is tasty! To find more tasty eats, follow me and check out my page on Instagram @hungrysimo
Everything was fantastic. 10/10 experience
Great food and service
Food was delicious.
Overpriced
Amazing food and good service.
Best Japanese restaurant
Cute Japanese restaurant. Very good food on special design plates.
I have been coming to this place several times, and I thoroughly appreciate the effort they put into their dishes. I remember when this was another sushi restaurant a few years ago, and they've definitely made a good job improving on quality and selection when Mye acquired it. Not the best sushi in Oakville, but definitely the best in upper Oakville.
Came here for a Birthday and ordered the Myers 2 special. Which is essentially their prefixe menu, 7 dish meal. Every single dish was extremely high quality and the service was amazing. Keep up the amazing work!
Great atmosphere, delicious and thoughtfully put together entrees. I had the sashimi dinner and can say it was some of the freshest I've had.
The oysters are definitely something I'm gonna go back for. I would say one of the best oysters I've ever tasted. The staff are super friendly and sushi rolls are pretty good too.
Short of staff
Excellent menu, nice and clean restaurant. Welcoming staffs.
Best sushi in Oakville. Always has been. Very thankful to have the north Oakville location.
Great sushi! Their fish is always fresh and their staff is very efficient.
Fresh and tasty. Varied menu. Friendly service. Good prices.
I’m celiac, and only found out 5 years ago- I LOVE sushi and until finding Mye 2 Japanese restaurant, I couldn’t find any GF sushi, and couldn’t eat it for 5 years! This sushi is always SO fresh and we always do take out (thanks to the pandemic). Their food is always packaged beautifully and with such care (GF soya sauce is taped down so it won’t spill, and beautiful presentation) and best of all- I’ve never gotten gluten sick from them (or any kind of sick- they are so wonderfully careful!)
The best Japanese Restaurant in Oakville.
Very bad meal for incredible price
My service at this place was not good at all. I was very disappointed.I went with my friend and we waited around to get served. It took us a good 20 minutes before we got asked on what we wanted to drink. Once we were ready to order, there was no sign of our server and we waited another 20 minutes just so we can order our food. My friends food came out first and he ordered the ramen, it was decent, but I was still waiting for my food. My food took longer to get out then my friend's and mine was the Kappa Maki. For the amount of time that I waited to get my order taken, waited for my food to come out, I would have gone to a fast food place, ate dinner and returned. If I didn't order a drink, I would have walked out a long time ago and not returned.
Good was good but service was very slow
Some of the best sushi we have had outside of Japan. Been visiting monthly for the last few years and this place never disappoints. You guys are awesome !
Awesome service
Delicious, but very expensive...
The good was all very expensive for what it was. I don't care how fresh your sushi is, $5 for two salmon sushi is a bit much. The staff was also seemingly very rushed however that is to be expected as we came in at a time when they were about to close without realizing it (though they should havevtold us that while we were reserving a table 30 minutes before they close). The table slso seemed kind of messy, and the staff rarely refilled our drinks. The food was good but overall I just can't recommend this place.
Tasty Food
Been there many times and have never been disappointed with the food. The service is sometimes slow but very happy overall.
Good food, little bit expensive
The service may take awhile but it's worth the wait. I love this place. One of the best Japanese restaurant in the GTA.
First time eating at this restaurant and it was PERFECTION!! Best Japanese food I have ever had!!! (and I'm Japanese). My husband and I will be back and also check out their other location in downtown Oakville. (BTW parking is much easier at this location!)
Been going here since it opened .Top class some of the best sushi I have ever had . The whole fluke is a real treat .
$100 dinner for two, same quality of fish as any all you can eat sushi places. So not worth it.
Best quality sushi to be found in Halton. Great service with upscale atmosphere, quality and prices. A wonderful spot for a pleasant, satisfying meal. But not for bargain hunters. They'll want to find someplace else.
Excellent experience here at Mye 2. The quality of the fish and the perpetration of the sushi that we had was top notch, fresh and absolutely delicious. We liked that the atmosphere was rather casual, and the food was still amazing, compared to the original Mye location which is a bit more shmancy. The staff were also friendly and helpful with recommendations. Prices were a bit steep compared to a lot of the cheaper options for sushi that exist nowadays, but we definitely got what you paid for, and it was worth it. Some of the best I've had, barring omakase. Highly recommend.
Been waiting an hour for our dinner. Still here waiting...it wasn't that busy when we arrived it's busy now. Still waiting.
Awesome service, delicious food, the best salmon sashimi I've ever had, anywhere. Melts in your mouth.
Always great Japanese food no disappointments
This place is one of my go-to favourites in Oakville. We would previously reserve trips to the downtown Oakville location for special occasions but the convenience of having this location in North Oakville is undeniably awesome. I visited for lunch yesterday by myself - no wife - no kids - just me and the food. It was nice to reacquaint myself with the delicate flavours you find at Mye. The food here is head and shoulders above the local competition. They do not over complicate dishes or shoot the moon with unique garnishes like you would find at a place like Blowfish downtown Toronto but they execute very well. The beds of rice are smaller than you typically find in the area so there is a much better proportion of fish to rice. By far the best sushi in the area and their sauces and dressings are fantastic.
Best Japanese food in the west end of the GTA
Sooooo good. Everytime! Thx Mye. Had sushi, black cod, fried chicken, yakiniku and tempura. All delicious.
Very slow service, might not come again.
Not bad but the selection of dishes is really limited
Bad service! Have ordered my platter 4 hours ahead of pick up time and they forgot it completely and asked me to wait for another 20 minutes when I arrived. What’s the point to call ahead to place the order. ????
Mye 2 is the best sushi restaurant in Oakville! Everything is so fresh and delicious, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and soothing. Love it!!!
best i can give them just 3 stars, due to many other japanese reataurants with much better food(same or lower price)
The worst customer experience and the fish was so not fresh. There is no reason to visit this place as staffs are not trained, the food out super late and none of them are responsible for anything.
Good quality good and authentic.
It is the best, period.
Great customer service, it's a good authentic Japanese restaurant that you can find in this area.
Service
This place was horrible... the service was terrible and we had to wait over 30 minute for chicken teriakye for our little guy. The sushi was meh. The spicy sushi was not spicy. I don't usually wrote reviews but this was terrible. I will never eat here again.
Some of the best food in Oakville
Had the 'drunken chicken' and it was insanely juicy and tender. highly recommend! also nice that you can just park in the huge lot our front
Other
Had the most DELICIOUS take out experience with Mye 2 - first time trying this location and we'll definitely be back for more. Please don't shut down during COVID! the last good Japanese restaurant in the vicinity.
Poorly run establish and lack communication skills. Waiting over 20 mins for an order placed hours early for a specific time. It would have been nice to know it was going to be 20 mins so we could have waited in the car. Instead they told us to wait in a very small waiting area where you can't socially distance. The best part was getting reminded that we showed up 5 mins early as if that is the excuse we had to wait so long.
Lovely restaurant with delicious menu items
Meal type
The best Japanese restaurant in the area. Food is high quality all around, clean and new decor. One of our favourite restaurants.
Good food good service very clean and very good quality
We were recommended to try Mye 2, and we were not disappointed! It was so good that we came two days in a row (from Cambridge)! Everything was fresh and delicious. The Oh! Mye Roll was very very good! We went for lunch the first day and dinner the second.
Great service with courtesy.
Authentic Japanese restaurant. Love their sashimi
Great cozy place with very delicious and fresh food. During their Special Oysters event, Oysters are great! Their service is good overall, but at times could be a bit more attentive.
Good ramen, Katsu is too thick to be crispy when they add the egg in after, thus it becomes somewhat soggy. Sushi is done well and fresh, salad is also crisp and flavourfull.
Bad service and over priced. Sushi dinner was more of a sushi snack.
Meal type
Excellent ambiance and of course outstanding food and courteous service.
Very nice local cozy place. It's not an AYCE, and it's not cheap but the quality and taste are there. Decor and cozy and simple. Oyster promo is amazing. Overall very solid on taste and quality.
Good quality, good service
I like the ramen here.
Very nice, food is great, and service as well
It’s not the first time I am here, and every time I remember waiting >30-40 minutes for my food to come to the table, and its only for 2 bowls of ramen, nothing difficult to cook.. don’t come on weekends as there will be alot of people. Even if you get a seat, prepare to wait an hour for the food to come. The taste isnt that good either to be honest, compared to other authentic japanese restaurants.
It's a nice place, the staff are really pleasant and understanding. They offer ramen - which is what I ordered. The ramen was just ok, I would say this is one of the more lackluster bowls I've ever had. The broth tasted a bit fishy, almost like repurposed miso soup. The noodles were very soft, I don't know if it was fresh or not. The pork was tough, way tougher than any ramen bowl. The shredded steak was good, the initial chicken/salad as an appetizer was not good. The salad was borderline frozen. The ice cream was ok but it was pre-scooped and the entire bowl was placed in a fridge/freezer as it was cold to the touch.
So good. Amazing. If the lord came down from heaven and asked me where he should go to eat I would say Mye 2. I am addicted. If this restaurant goes out of business I will literally cry because the food is so good. If you’re looking for good sushi look no further!
Dinner
Amazing sushi. The best sushi I have ever had in Ontario. They also have a lot of great gluten free options. There takeout has also been amazing during the pandemic. I highly recommend the sushi dinner if you like sushi and sashimi.
We visited today for the first time and we can confirm we will come back, great and clean location, nice people served us but the food was great. We tried sushi, appetizer and main dishes and ALL of it was amazing.. ... coming back soon???? went again for a pick up and quite disappointed with what we got in the bag - food was blend, no taste, the sauce pored all over the other items, the sushi rolls were a joke, so small you barely could pick them....
The sushi here beats 500 dollars omakase in Tokyo. I wish I can sit at the sushi bar and take it directly from the sushi chef's hand like it should be with edomaezushi.
(Translated) Oakville's best Japanese meal (Original) Oakville最好的日餐
I have been eating at this restaurant for a few time. First impression: fresh. You can see the fresh noodle they make. Their noodles taste great like japanese style. Donburi taste great as well. It is a bit pricy too, but with the taste, freshness and quality, I will say it is justified.
We made reservations for NYE. Stood there waiting at the door for 10 min. before anyone came over to acknowledge us. Was then told that it was a 30 min wait to get a table. At this point it was 15 min after our reservation. We told them we had a reservation booked. The lady proceeded to say they had a high amount of reservations for that time. Which to me means they do not have a proper booking system and are very unorganized. We ended up leaving and not eating there. I would not want to spend my money somewhere that has that poor of customer service and can't even book reservations correctly.
The food and service were above my expectations. We absolutely enjoyed the ambience of this place. Fantastic spot to take my family out for lunch.
Love their Steak Dinner!!
Staff is always kind. People need to eat here. Food is always fresh and delicious. I recommend to anyone looking for good sushi and/or traditional mains. Prices are reasonable for quality and portion size.
Excellent and authentic food. Need to fix their takeout strategy. Ten people show up at the same time for their takeout and nothing is ready creating a 40 minute wait.
incredible sushi - one of the best I have eaten outside of western canada. They make it fresh to order which does add to the waiting time, but is so worth it!
Pretty good chicken teriyaki.
Delicious food! Service is lacking a little, otherwise would have given 5 stars
I'm not a big fan of Ramen, but when I am at Myee, i always get the ramen! Love it! I just wish the service was little faster
High quality food
Authentic Japanese sushi. Not your typical commercial stuff.
Food was excellent but it took way too long to get our food, and we were only a table of 5. There were several tables who arrived after us who ate and left before we were done. Waiter was too distracted talking to other waiters and goofing off. Also very expensive compared to other restaurants... Miso soup or salad with an entrée? I'm sorry, the standard at most Japanese restaurants is both. Would not return.
