Truly amazing food. Great entertainment. Our waitress and the chef we got were both super friendly. We weren't sure what a few of the menu items were like, so the waitress took time to explain what it was. Although, the setup is quite awkward. The place is pretty big, and we were one of two families there. They sat us at our own table and then when another family came in, they sat them RIGHT beside us even though they had a hugeee amount of room to seat them elsewhere. It was quite awkward. Aside from the seating arrangement, it was a wonderful lunch. Will definitely be back again

Tepanyaki was not as tasty as a similar restaurant I had dined in Mississauga a couple weeks ago. Fried rice was bland. Quality of the stake was not AAA as described in the menu (maybe it was previously frozen). I asked for them to cook my steak medium rare but it was cooked medium. It is very expensive for the food they deliver. I would not mind paying the same if the food was tasty. Service was good tho.

Comfortable place,great food. The steak was quality, perfectly medium rare pieces with a generous portion of sliced fried garlic with it., and the chef cooked in front of us. I loved how he broke the egg.Food comes with soup, salad and your choice of rice or noodle. Staff was very attentive and friendly. This was a nice experience and will come again if I am in the area anytime.

Wasn't really there for the entertainment and the chef seemed like he was phoning in his "performance", don't blame him though as we were the only ones in the restaurant that lunchtime. Still, tasty and worth the money for the novelty of having your meal cooked in front of you. Will go there again and maybe take the kids next time.

The show was great, the food was amazing. My date and I really enjoyed ourselves. I got the chicken yakisoba and she got the chicken + steak with veggie fried rice and both dishes were incredibly flavourful. The sauces provided took it over the top. We took some food home and it tasted just as good the next day. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Very clean! The bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous as well. The staff are always really nice. Don't get me started on the food! SO GOOD! We've had the salmon (which was my favorite), the steak, the tofu steak (the tofu was really soft so if you don't like soft tofu, I wouldnt recommend getting that) and the chicken. They were all so good, except the tofu steak. Again, it would probably be good if you like soft tofu.

The food here was ok, but the service and show were lousy. When we were ordering, my friend wanted the pick two teppanyaki option, but he just wanted both options to be scallops. Nowhere does it say you can't do that, but the server absolutely refused to allow him to just have the two options both be scallops. The chef asks everyone if they want white rice, fried rice, or noodles, but doesn't mention that the fine print in the menu says you have to pay extra for fried rice and noodles. They also charge for refills, which is ridiculous. My friend ended up paying $10 for two glasses of iced tea. When he mentioned this to the server, he replied that we should've read the menu because it's all in there. I don't know many people who still have the menu around by the time they're asking for refills, and it's such a given that refills are free at anywhere else, that it was just a shock here. While the food wasn't bad, the show sucked. Teppanyaki is as much about the show as it is the food, and it was disappointingly quick and unimpressive. There was a brief moment of big flames and an onion volcano, but it was over almost instantaneously and left us confused when the show was over because we expected more. I definitely won't be coming back here again.

Best hibachi place we have that’s not foreign! These guys do a fun show and the food is delicious, nice variety of steak, shrimp and chicken! All very tender and cooked to perfection! Can be a little on the pricier side but the quality certainly justifies that! Servers could have been a bit more polite but besides that great place and will be back!

My opinion in this place it is not bad restaurant, But there is a waiter very bad, rude, unrespectful, uneducated person and He misses all kinds of politeness and manner of dealing with customers, kept looking at me when i was holding the visa machine to pay and he asked me in unprofessional way to add tips (btw I'm used to tipping in cash) and when i told him I'm gonna pay it in cash he went to his manager to complain about me then i call the manager to know if there is any problem he didn't fix the issue. In the end he came to my table and embarrass me front of the customers.

We were there pretty late on a slow Tuesday night, so there were actually only 2 of us at the table, so I'm betting we didn't get their most talented chef, but that said, he was quite skillful, and the food was amazing. I have to say, that I was very disappointed in the service. The waiter was rude and in a rush to take the orders, he came back, and started picking up the plates before we even finished our meal, gave us take our box’s and the bill. I had a group of 11pm with me. We were so rushed that no one enjoyed the meal. In and put in 1hour. Not a great way to celebrate a birthday. Service has gone down after the pandemic, because I use to come to this location a lot before. From the last experience, will not come back.

This is a fun place to eat, if you want an entertaining meal. Especially great for kids, who like the show. For me, the wait between dishes, caused by the chef making one thing at a time was not great, unless you like eating strictly one food item at a time. Also, I prefer quality over show, and the quality was acceptable but not special. The tables are communal, so you will never sit across from your friends, which I did not like. But for a group of 16 who want a special show, this is great.

Acrobatic circus knife thrower act meets chef is the dining experience. Have been here twice and I have to admit that once you've seen it, the party's over. Food was very tasty and fresh, that's what's important. Restaurant is a good size and I've seen it crowded and half full. Everyone looks to be having a good time. Moderate prices.

I am fond of Teppanyaki restaurants. I just love the little show. I could not hear well but our chef was either John or George. He did very well with the show as well as cooking. (volcano is a great trick.) I have no issues paying a little more for a meal that is being cooked right in front of me since I know exactly what I am getting and its nice and fresh. Hicachi has a sizable beverage menu with a good selection of beers, wines, sake, cocktails and more. I prefer fruity cocktails so I tried the MoMo and I enjoyed it very much. When it comes to the food, I would have to say the meat was the best part of the meal. If you have not yet tried Hibachi, make it your next evening out.

NEVER GOING BACK! CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Unfriendly staff. I asked a question and the waitress ignored me and left The food was highly overpriced . And the tip inclusion was insulting! When we wanted to tip according to the amount we thought they DESERVED, The waitress wouldn't ALLOW anything less than $20!! There's no manager present when you have questions, such as (in the words of our waitress) the 'recommended' mandatory tip :/ The food was ok. Nothing amazing. Our chef had broken eggshells in the egg he cooked for us. And then when we got the bill and asked to see a manager.. there was no manager present. And we had to pay a MANDATORY tip of 15% Never going back!

Booked a teppanyaki for 5 on a weekday. It was totally deserted other than a couple finishing their meal when we arrived. We were asked what tea we needed individually immediately seated. Thinking (we have been many times in having teppanyaki and our first time in this restaurant) like other places, we happily ordered our hot green tea. It was served in a metal tiny pot with a tiny cup which is not usual at all like in a casual Asian restaurant. The display of the chef's skill was good. However, the fried rice was a real let down! A few pieces of peas and cubed carrots and 2 eggs for a big batch of rice for 4 people. I have been to teppanyaki and they have the right no. of eggs for the right no. of people ordering. It was nothing like fried rice with only soy sauce. The miso soup was same but the dressing of the salad was yucky! It was not a dressing at all but soy sauce! Was shocked when the bill came charging like buying a whole box of tea per person whereas other teppanyaki restaurants comes without any charge at all. Should have order a pina colada!

Very professional, clean and welcoming! I'm still nervous eating at restaurants but I went there since my friends wanted to. I decided to order take out while my friends decided to eat there. They accommodated me with such ease that I didn't feel awkward at all to have my mask on the entire time and not eat! We had the pleasure to meet and get served by the owner - very humble, kind and talented person. He is looking to start two schools that teach Teppanyaki. I wish him all the success! Horrible experience. Food was very ordinary for the price they charged. Drinks had no refills and the staff were rude and unfriendly. When it was time to pay the bill we found out there was a forced 15 percent tip. Upon inquiring the waitress started arguing with me abiut the chefs salary and what not! I don't care how much you pay your chef! I should be paying as advertised. The manager was not even available on site for a complaint. Will never recommend to anyone.

Great experience. Came here with a Groupon promotion for a Hibachi experience and for a great price. We got a seven course tasting menu for four and there was plenty of food. If you've never been to one of these restaurants for lunch or dinner you should give it a try, basically the chef cooks your food right in front of you on a hot table performing some tricks as he's cooking. Very fun and entertaining when you go with a bunch of people or even if you have younger children they would have a blast. Our menu came with chicken, beef, shrimp, and lobster for protein, there is also vegetable fried rice, miso soup, house garden salad, grilled mix vegetables, sushi roll (chef's choice) and ice cream at the end. Service is excellent here we had reservations for 7:00 pm but we arrived early and the hostess offered to seat us at a table right away if we wanted but we opted for the bar while waiting for the rest of the group. They offer a wide variety of drinks to keep your whistle wet and prices are great. Our server kept us topped up with water and sauces for the meal, great service always around the corner when we needed something.

We made a reservation for 2. I know they usually wait until there is enough guests at cooking table... but we waited 30 min before the chef started cooking. We asked for less salt and soy sauce knowing they usually add a lot, it was great they tried to accommodate us but it was still very salty. There was a little glitch with chef's counting as he was short a lobster, but it didn't take him long to cook. The entertainment was lacking for the price you pay. In the end, we were obliged to pay 15% gratuity (on food + taxes) which comes to about 17% on food, when we thought the service did not deserve that. That said, Burlington Hibachi has better service and entertainment.

This is the only restaurant i know that charges extra money for you to have a birthday or other celebration. Most others give free dessert and some even free entree, and sing Happy Birthday for you. Hibachi charges $10 to celebrate.

All the previous FIVE STARS are as good as they say. Great proportions, quality food, friendly quick staff, and comfortable atmosphere all contribute to this rating. The show itself is quite entertaining at first and actually getting to watch every step of your food being made for you too hot and ready is a high light. To be honest it is pricey....BUT IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who likes good food thats good for you!

A very interesting hibachi restaurant, and the hibachi chef movements are always fun to watch. I ordered the surf & turf option and everything was cooked really well. The kids enjoyed the show and the ice cream. My older son enjoyed the fries that came with his chicken karaage. He said they were really crispy and tasty fries.

Extremely poor customer service. We were here with a party of 13 (9 adults and 4 young children) for a dinner on a Saturday night. We had been there for approximately an hour and a half and were finishing up when they had delivered our bill, but were told "no rush" only for the waitress to immediately return to ask us to leave the table and make our way to the bar area to settle our bill and they would serve the kid's their ice cream there. The reasoning provided was that they "needed the table" as another party was waiting. No warning was provided, no opportunity for the adults to order desert/coffee/tea and we were barely finished dining. We were treated unfairly with the restaurant putting table turn over ahead of customer service; definitely will not return again.

Comparing to the one I had last year in Orlando, Florida, the portion in Florida was like a mountain, whole plate, lots of rice, veggie, the ingredients were bigger, my stomach was full packed when I left the place. The portion here is lighter but enough, they serve you the rice in a bowl instead of a whole chunk in Florida. The technic for both were similar, I guess every hibachi place is similar. Overall, it's a nice place for dinner and get together.

Absolutely over priced!!! The food was definately not worth the price! Great service and very nice employees but the food was nothing special. Everything qas seasoned with salt and pepper, oil used for cooking and some soya sauce on the rice. I use more flavours at home... There was a group of 10 of us to celebrate my daughter and sisters birthdays, they CHARGED us for the birthday celebration!!!! Who does that?! They brought out a cheap paper chef hat and a tiny piece of cheesecake with an orange for each of them, $10 each!!! Totally not worth it. I was shocked when I saw our bill, $183 for 3 people, outrageous!!! Never again will we be returning unless we have a groupon. Even still, I dont know its worth my time. I know of much better restaurants. -Unsatisfied overcharged customer!

The chef messed up most tricks, the tofu was undercooked so it feel apart. They choose to use a medium or soft tofu. But all in all i could have made this meal at home for like $7. Was it edible yes was the environment good yes. Would i come back here only if i was invited by friends.

We thought it would be a great way to celebrate a birthday, but was quite disappointed. The chef that we had overcooked the proteins, especially the lobster. We weren't ever asked if there was any dietary restrictions, so part of our party couldn't enjoy part of the meal. Our chef didn't offer everyone an option to (not) participate in the "catch-the-broccoli" toss, but were smacked in the face with partially cooked veggies. It might just be our chef, as the other chefs did ask and respected your choice not to participate.

We were a party of 7 adults, 1 child, and 2 toddlers. We were celebrating my daughter and daughter in laws birthdays. Although we were not asked if we were celebrating anything special. We had reservations for 8:00 pm, and were seated about 8:20? The chef and show were excellent. A few minutes after the chef ended his cooking, one of our little ones began vomiting, all over himself, the high chair, the floor. My daughter did the best she could to clean him up, using the cloth napkins. Someone did offer a couple of paper napkins to help clean him up. There was a pile of vomit, and vomit soaked napkins on the floor right beside us. We were left to endure the beginning of our main course surrounded by and smelling the vomit because no one came back to remove it. Finally someone came to mop up the vomit but left all the soaked napkins laying there for the entire meal. Every time a waiter came by they said “ oh no one took care of that yet” and send out the same person to “clean” it up, the second time he came, he came with the mop and asked if he missed a spot. We told him the linens were covered it vomit. He left and did not return to remove it. I found this service unacceptable, complained when we were handed our $350.00 bill and the waiter again said “oh no ones taken care of this yet?” The same guy came a third time to shovel away the vomit and asked if this was what we complained about. The high chair was never touched even though it was cover in vomit and it remained at our table throughout the meal. No one even attempted to clean it or replace it. We received no apology or incentive to ever return to Hibachi restaurant. When we sent an email about the experience they didn’t even acknowledge it! It was a truly disappointing experience.

Went for a birthday celebration they sang a special birthday song and gave us a dessert for birthday ,also took a family picture and printed it out which was too good. Coming to the food the way they cook in the grill was too good and kids were super excited to see it. The taste of the food was amazing, everything tasted fresh . Nice experience. Only drawback is the high price. The cost in menu looks good though but they give only plain rice for it. The hotel adds service charge(tips) to the bill themselves. They charge for birthday celebration 10$ ????.The portion of the food is also less. So without food we paid 36$ for celebration fee + tips + HST. But overall for any special day a very nice restaurant to visit .

My friend and I ate here this past Sunday, and the food was a terrible experience. First off, service was great and staff were extremely friendly. Can't complain in that regard. As for the food, the sashimi was tough and rubbery, sushi rice was also hard and didn't feel fresh. I get that restaurants are struggling during COVID but why would you compromise on food quality so much? The spicy salmon rolls were also over-dressed with sriracha-mayo. Had high hopes for this place, and was let down. We went for lunch teppanyaki on Saturday August 28th. The server, "Aaron" was very rude, and very militant. He was unfriendly and unhospitable. This was the first time that my nephew experienced Teppanyaki, Aaron was a dark cloud hovering around the tables. Totally ruined the experience. In addition to his lack of customer skills, he did not adjust the automatic tip system on our bill, and my husband unknowingly paid 15% service charge, in addition to the minimal tip that was given to Aaron. I realized this when we reached home and immediately called the manager, Johnnie. Aaron also exhibited unhygienic behaviour that my husband and Johnnie also observed. Once I provided feedback to Johnnie, he apologized for the experience and he resolved the issue regarding the automatic tip. Johnnie committed to better training for the employees and a better customer experience. The highlight to this restaurant was Victoria who made the reservation, and the chef - Krishna. The chef was accommodating and ensured the food was prepared to our preferences. He has a warm and kind personality. Was impressed with his people skills, and it encouraged me to personally give him a tip. The manager, placed great efforts to turn the experience around, it was just too late The quality of the food is just "ok' Will most likely not be coming back to this restaurant nor recommend it to others due to the poor service, unhygienic behaviour by the server and automatic tipping system.

It's with a heavy heart that I give them 2 stars as the staff was really nice. The chicken, seafood, steak, etc. is pretty like any other place. Except you can get the same for 1/3rd the price at other places in Toronto. My issue was around the sushi. It was by far the worst salmon sushi and spicy salmon sushi I've ever had. The Mandarin is actually better. Like the Mandarin, they basically just put spicy mayo sauce on the sushi, which is the lazy dull way of preparing it. The salmon had zero taste and seemed like it was sitting around for a few hours. The bill came to $186 for two people, including 1 bottle of beer. For the price, I could visit an all you can eat teppanyaki restaurant in Toronto "three" times, for "better" quality food.

My first time going to a Hibachi restaurant. The food was decent, and was pretty bland. The Hibachi cooking itself lasted only 5-7 minutes and was pretty underwhelming. I found it to be very pricey. 2 adults, water only and no appetizer was around $75 before tax and tip.

I first heard about Hibachi through a good friend of mine. I had experienced live Teppanyaki quite a few times before and was very excited to have one close to my home. I visited the Oakville location (across from the GO station, very convenient location for me as well) last Saturday night for the first time and was amazed at the amount of joy and competence that the staff had for their customers. The owner personally greeted our table and conversed with us (even during its full house hour) which added to the start to one of our best teppanyaki experiences. The server was extremely attentive and quick to answer any questions we had the entire dining experience. When the chef came to perform, we were very impressed at how artistically trained this man is. Overall everything exceeded beyond our expectations and we are very happy to have a dinner and a show place so close in Oakville.

Very dissatisfied. These places are about dinner and a show. Dinner was quite good show was very disappointing. All around us people are having a great time, four foot flare ups, tossing brocolli in guest mouths, juggling eggs. The pic shows what we got. I showed this pic and the video we had to the manager. He thanked me for my feedback, apologized and said that the chef must be new. How is that my problem? Why does our experience suffer because the chef is new? Nothing was done to correct the situation which was the most frustrating part of it all. As a person who worked in restaurants for many years it is ok to make mistakes, it is not ok not to fix them. This will be our last visit to this establishment and I would advise others to find another Hibachi grill if they seek both food and entertainment.

Not sure how this restaurant has a 4+ star rating.... my friend and I went for sushi here, so can’t comment on the teppanyaki experience. We got the Hibachi party platter. It was sub-par at best. The saving grace was the pleasant wait staff and fast service. But food quality was nothing to write home about. Rice was a little hard too, not fresh. Won’t be back :( There are much better restaurants that serve better quality food at similar prices. For the price paid, we expected a lot more!
