Truly unforgettable dining experience prepared by award-winning chefs with magical ambience with impeccable service and attention to detail. One of our most memorable world class meals this year and for sure we will be back in the very near future. Highly inspired, elevated dining without having to go to Toronto!

Hexagon does have an a la carte menu, but it’s very small. Therefore, if you’re dining with someone that needs choice, the four-course menu ($75) is your best bet; there’s 3-4 options for each course. And don’t worry if you don’t understand the menu – even while visiting with a group of frequent diners, we haven’t heard of 20% of the ingredients listed … cascabel chili anyone? Luckily, the sommelier patiently described everything to us in a conversational manner, comparing them to items more commonly found on Canadian menus. Starting with a warm pain au lait, this is the bread that even people who have sworn off carbs may succumb to. Soft, flakey, and buttery; it’s delicious and could go toe-to-toe with the one served at Alo. The tendril of charred octopus is oh so tender and arrives with a palm sized black corn tortilla that makes a great two-bite taco. Dots of sauces cover the plate so you can try a bit of the seafood with something tangy, spicy, or creamy… although it’s already good enough by itself. Hexagon’s piñata dessert is whimsical and great for people who like playing with their food. Suspended above the crème brulée was a white chocolate capsule filled with powdered sugar. I’m advised to whack the chocolate with a spoon, emitting a puff of white exploding over the dessert. Playfulness aside, the crème brulée was rich without being heavy due to the citrusy kalamansi and floral jasmine used in the dessert. A nice end to the meal.

Do yourself a favor and visit this outstanding restaurant in Oakville. Welcoming staff and lovely ambiance. The service is unmatched and the staff truly cares about your experience. Food is absolutely amazing and the staff is very knowledgable about the dishes – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. John, the general manager was around the entire evening and made sure our experience from start to finish was more than amazing. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and him and the staff made it such a memorable evening. Absolutely the best place I have been to in GTA & comparable to top world restaurants standards. Highly recommend!

First time visiting this lovely restaurant. We went for dine in brunch on Sunday. The eggs benny's were perfectly cooked with a very well seasoned fresh salad and tad dry hash potatoes. Great coffee and beautiful pastry cart. HUBBY had steak and eggs which were really well prepared although steak a little tough. What made this a 5 was the very excellent service. We will definately return

Brunch review on Sunday afternoon. Excellent food and beverages. $230 including tax for 4 people. Our reserved table wasn't ready for a long time but we happily waited at the bar until the rest of our party arrived. I asked twice for WiFi but never received a reply. Tip: the croissant cart runs out of options so order viennoiserie early! Service is thorough if perfunctory. There's a general lack of warmth and humour by all staff but understandable as it's a tough job. Only one kitchen staff didn't wear a mask throughout. Otherwise hygiene was impeccable. Unfortunately there are no paper menus for senior citizens with no cell phones and no data. Final bill overcharged $4 for Provence cocktail, but charged a cheaper sparkling wine $16 (Prosecco) instead of $20 cremant which we ordered and hopefully received! They validate underground parking but only for a limited time so we still paid $6 for the remainder of our time. (We parked for a total of 3.5 hours) There is free street parking on Sundays but we couldn't find any at 1 pm so used their garage. We would definitely return for dinner sometime.

First you notice the welcoming staff and the warm atmosphere…then you taste the food! “It is so worth the drive to Oakville”. Thanks to John, his award winning chef Rafa, our server Abdul & the rest of the staff.

Probably one of the best restaurants in the west GTA. Amazing food, amazing service, John and Alex were awesome, the kitchen staff is unreal. Really talented people and great food. Refreshing

Great Experience! We ordered the 4 course dinner - veal tartar/grilled octopus, foie torchon, beef tenderloin, chocolate fudge/creme brulee. Food is very fresh and the beef tenderloin is tender and cooked just right. Awesome service and there was a jazz festival outside that day which makes it a fun and unique experience! Thank you

Wow. What a meal. Environment, service and food were all delicious. This really is the ultimate dining experience. Tomato and strawberry salad, sourdough mushroom naan, crab pasta and build your own fish tacos. Super fun to share and try new and complex flavours.

Love the haxagon design from the lights to tiles in the washroom once walking in. Food quality wise not as impressive as the service. Sourdough came grilled, asked for original ones. It’s too dense, underfermented. The original sourdough is not supposed to be served on the table for the quality, esp for its 4.7 rating. In general, food are okay. Nothing impressed me too much quality or creativity wise. It def got the atmosphere n the form if you want to take pretty pic. Can still have a good time overall.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I was here for a group dinner which can be tough some times, but Hexagon did not disappoint! The food was incredible, service was top notch, and handcrafted cocktails were the cherry on top (the cinnamon apple smoked old fashioned is perfection)! Bravo!

Having been open for 2 months or so, Hexagon is already attracting quite a following with Executive Chef Sean McDonald at the helm and Rafa Covarrubias as sous chef. The exterior of the restaurant is so plain that you would be forgiven mistaking it for a residential entrance. The dimly lit dining room was modern with a gorgeous hanging fireplace at the back and beautiful hexagon shaped lights on the ceiling. For this visit, we opted for the 4-course tasting menu ($60), with some cocktails to start our evening. The pine nut old fashioned was of a respectable calibur, but nothing to write home about, as were the other cocktails my companions ordered. Our server started us off with some pain au lait, which were absolutely delicious. Having had the pain au lait at Alo (considered a course there!), I would say this pain au lait is better. There was a nice denseness to it, and it was a joy to eat with the butter provided. We all chose the Charred Octopus as our first course - beautifully plated with splashes of "ink" salsa negra, sweet teardrop peppers, avocado mousse, fresh coriander and 2 tentacles. This came with 2 squid ink corn tortillas - one to make tacos out of the dish, and the other to clean the sauce off the plate with. I thought the flavours were interesting, especially with the teardrop peppers. The charred octopus on the other hand could have been more tender. A good start nonetheless. For the second course, I opted for the pork belly, and my companions the Truffle Shallot Agnolotti, and the Foie Gras. Pork belly was tender, jucy and flavourful but I immediately regretted getting it upon tasting the other two dishes. The Agnolotti was little heavenly pillows with delicious truffle mascapone bursting out upon biting. The foie gras was perhaps the best foie gras mousse I have tasted, accompanied by Montreal style mulberry & poppyseed bagels. Beef Cheeks with salt cured & cold smoked rainbow carrot, accompanied by a beef & carrot juice emulsion was a respectable main course. However it paled in comparison with the dry-aged pan seared Duck Breast, with a cube of duck confit on the side, cabbage and fermented black garlic sauce - absolutely delicious The highlight of our evening was undoubtely the dessert, The Hexagon Pinata. The presentation was striking - with a white Chocolate pinata (encasing Dulcey chocolate pearls) hanging over a bowl with Swiss-style Meringue and blackened banana icecream. We were asked to break the pinata with a spoon which made a satisfying crack. The taste of the dessert was phenomenal and this dish alone was well worth the visit. Overall, I would say Hexagon can easily make the top 5 restaurant list in the GTA and I would highly recommend a visit here. Check out @instantonium on Instagram for more great eats

Fine dining at its prime. Amazing meal. The top dishes was the vegetables, such as the cauliflower and eggplant. Really nice settings and great service. We will be back!

What an utter treat for your tastebuds. Went to Hexagon for their prix fixe chef selection menu across 5 courses. We had no idea what to expect and every dish had flavour, colour, aesthetic appeal, texture, and overall very well thought out. The chefs were amazing too and even treated us to 2 extra courses and we were so satisfied by the time the night was over. Will come again.

Now my favourite restaurant in Oakville. Or in Canada. It’s a world class experience. We’ve finally been able to try it and everything - from service to food - is exceptional. Best brunch I’ve ever had. The Interior Design & Decor is spectacular. Drinks are delicious. Excellent atmosphere, crowd, and good people watching. Staff is supernice and trendy.

Lee Lee (LeeM)

Amazing experience from start to finish. Well executed service that is friendly but not stuffy, and prompt (lots of changing of cutlery). The 9 course meal was a 2.5 hour food adventure that challenged and excited my palate with different textures (fluffy gnocchi, pop rock sorbet, crispy duck skin) and wonderful tastes. Every dish was a delight and no two flavours were the same. Already dreaming of my next visit....

I just brought a group of 14 people here on a Friday night. They were so accommodating, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We travelled all the way from Alberta to come check out this restaurant. Abdullah was our server and John was our manager, and they were both exceptional. I highly recommend coming here, there were lots of tables of two (dates happening), there were parties of four and large parties. Food was amazing, it came out on time, and the ambiance was something I’ve never experienced. I highly recommend coming here and I will be back soon!

Jason

Food was good especially the chiffon/pandan cake. Service was average at best. Was kept waiting outside the restaurant even though we had reservations. Our server acknowledged our disappointment and offered us some drinks on-the-house.

Raylynn Gatto

We had an amazing supper tonight! We had a party of 14 and we treated like royalty. The food was like no other!! Highly recommend!! John the manager and Abdul was our server! Excellent job! It was a great way to start our weekend here in Toronto, all the way from Calgary Alberta!!

carlo Dela Cruz

What an amazing restaurant. Service is without a doubt top notch and the food is on another level. Hats off to the chef.

Finally a good tasting menu in the West area not in downtown. 1. I love the location and the decor of this restaurant. 2. The food and the presentation is very good. The taste of all the dishes are phenomenal! 3. All the staffs were concerned for me and came up to asked me if I was being bothered when one of the guy from the table came to talk to us. Con: It was a celebration for my birthday. My friend asked to do a candle for me when dessert comes. However, nothing. Overall, I love this place!

Kathleen Robertson

This was an experience. We had the cart blanch tasters menu. Not only was the food delicious but the service was first class. Each meal was presented with a well reherst performance. Our favourite was the perfectly cooked duck breast. Other highlights include elk shaped like a candle, the cauliflower the tartar and the pinata.

Stephanie Pinto

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. A special thank you to John for helping me organize a wonderful event.

Amongst the best brunch meals I have had in the GTA, or anywhere. While they offer classical brunch options, Hexagon goes beyond the prototypical North American “brunch” offering truly unique flavours, style and flare. Wines were spectacular, offering true wine lovers great glasses. The patio was beautiful but unfortunately it was raining. However, the staff were extremely flexible in accommodating us inside! What an excellent time!

The best dining experience my wife and I have ever had, period. The food was incredible, especially the tartar (the best I’ve ever had) and the 72 hr short rib. The portions were generous and the price, if anything, was undervalued (considering the quality and level of innovation). Abdullah, our waiter, was excellent and really enhanced the experience, but Amanda the mixologist stole the show. She put together some amazing cocktails, including a Manhattan, daiquiri, espresso martini and a chartreuse based drink that really blew me away. She was also very kind and gracious when I asked her about some of the ingredients she used in a few of the drinks. My wife hasn’t drank in 5 months (she’s pregnant) but I pleaded with her to have the tiniest sip of each because of how clean and balanced they were. We weren’t entirely surprised because of how much we enjoy 7 Enotica (I think it’s their sister restaurant?) but Hexagon is in a class unto themselves. Better than any Michelin star restaurant we’ve been to. And to think it was on a random Wednesday night!

What an incredible culinary experience! The food was thought-provoking but also delicious. The wine pairings were spot on. The service was humble and the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance as well. We loved that the open kitchen was used to its full potential with the chefs breaking traditional “boundaries”, coming out onto the floor and introducing dishes, even elegantly clearing them. Thank you to John, Amanda and the team.

I was at this restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday. I was looking forward to it. It was not what I expected. They had about 8 chefs working but the menu was very limited - only 3 mains. Food was extremely salty, literally had no taste to any of the dishes other than tanginess. overall very disappointed. Not worth $250 dollars

alexandra andronic

Went to dinner, recommended by a friend. He wasn't wrong, the whole experience is a five star: food is packed with surprising flavors, service and atmosphere is excellent, music, attention to detail. Loved the fact that kitchen is open space to the public and you can see the action first hand, definitely had it charm. Beef tartar was amaizing, our host was nothing short than that. This place really made our evening.

郭Anne

A nice restaunant with modern fixtures. My friend and I had lunch over there last week. She had duck confit ravioli,it was very salty and waitor brought us two slices of lemon to make it light. we are a little bit disappointed.

Melissa Holbrook

I was referred by a friend here to book a large corporate event. The manager John reached out to me and we are looking forward to creating an experience event! I’ll update my review after our experience but we’ve been told the food is top notch!

kayla sweeney

Amazing tasting menu to share...I would recommend the mushroom naan to anyone it was so delicious. But I would have to say the service made this restaurant. My server was named Abdullah and he was so professional and made the restaurants experience even more enjoyable!!!

Honestly I love Hexagon, excellent service. Amazing food. The ambiance is spectacular ????

Came for Sunday brunch was amazed by the quality of the food. Great taste and good value for money.

Noushin Kate K

Delicious food. Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Reservation was required and the place got pretty busy very fast. The butter coffee tasted good but not very special. The dark chocolate was really good but too rich to be that large. The mimosa was fantastic.

TL Ro

Overall pretty good. Main courses are tasty but a bit heavy. Good host and service. Too bad dont have tasting menu but will defently return for that.

Service was 5 star from the moment we entered. Food was top notch, nice atmosphere. Italian beer that comes in 1L came in really nice glasses for drinking. Beef tartar was very good as well. Shout out to Alex for making everything amazing. Will be coming back here for sure.

A gourmet restaurant that's good value for the money. For $60, we had a four course prix fixe menu, with choices for each course. Our favourites were the charred octopus, fois gras 'birthday cake', truffle agnolotti, beef cheeks (really good), duck, and banana pinata (wonderful!). A couple of weaker dishes, though potentially interesting, could have used a but more culinary development, in my opinion: cauliflower, and the chocolate dessert. The service was excellent, including the wine selection. It sounds like they have really good coffee here too, but we could not handle the caffeine so late at night, so we had to pass this time. There's an optional wine pairing you can order for your meal, as well as a special 9 course meal you can order for extra. The decor, sound, and general ambience was great. Would go back!

Hortense de la Tullaye

Avoid this place! Meal are horrible as wine. I ordered a foie gras and received a piece of Tarte with a gelly something on it that had a bad taste and poor quality. Main course was small, cold served and chewy... Definitely the worst experience I ever had.

Tatiana Tarnovskaya

You should go there if you have a chance! The food is very elaborate and unusual, perfect portion sizes allow you to enjoy a multiple course meal. Great wine list as well. As a bonus, they open huge glass doors facing Oakville Town Square, so it is a very nice atmosphere on a warm summer evening.

Andrea Makauskas

Once again, an unbelievable experience from beginning to end. Artur, Exec Chef Raf, Pastry Chef Lili, John and team - these incredible people go above and beyond to make every visit extremely special and memorable. Thank you for everything, you guys have such big hearts and awesome talent - can't wait to return! xo

Great flavour for all the dishes, my favourite was the aged duck breasts. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy, the sauce was flavourful. Service was bad, we were seated at a table facing the sun, and we asked to be relocated. The server only brushed it off and said “the sun will eventually set”. For the entire meal, he did not come and check on how the food was. Edit: came back for a Sunday brunch, this time we are seated indoor. For brunch, there’s this pastry cart that the servers bring to your table and you can choose from a variety of pastries, some options I had that day were butter croissant, almond croissant, three milk croissant, cookie and cream croissant, pear tart, and cannoli. Our server disappeared for a long time and gave us the wrong menu (she gave us the dinner menu). Had the eggs Benny, food was great but still feel that service could be improved, this is one of Canada’s top 100 restaurants.

Victoria D

Great experience, vibe, food and service every time. Our favourite is their weekend brunch. Even though it’s not bottomless coffees, it’s still worth the price.

M MB

Amazing food. Been a couple of times and each time the food has been delicious. Tried these tostadas and really liked them. They had a special pasta too which my husband ordered but I literally ate 75% of it before he had the chance. ????

Hexagon features modern French cuisine. The food tasted really good and the plating was beautiful. They have a la carte for lunch and tasting menu for dinner. I also love their cafe. The coffee was a bit pricey but was really good! We went there when it was first opened. We had a party of 6 and everyone was happy about the meal. It was a bit slow but the service was friendly and thoughtful! The French Onion Soup really surprised me. You can tell they use fine ingredients. We loved the chocolate desserts there. Piñata was another highlight of the meal. It was fun!

Yenna K

We were 10 people group and every single member ordered the course menu. It took more than 1 hour to get the first food, and the each term between courses were too long.. All of food tasted so good and the restaurant's mood was amazing but well.. Am I gonna go back? Maybe not.

Romy B

Came out for Brunch on the weekend. Ordered the Chicken and waffles and some pastries, while my Fiance ordered the Eggs Benedict. Everything was spectacular from the ambiance to the dining and service experience, the food was wonderfully delicious and the pastries were rich and scrumptious. The Sommelier John was superb and an expert at his craft. He explained where the bottle originated and how it would be a suitable pair to compliment my dish. He was able to pair a delectable bubbly champagne with my Chicken and waffles which turned out to be quite the surprise and did in fact blow my mind. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
