I've dined at vegan restaurants across Canada and this is by far my favourite! The service is great, food was spectacular and atmosphere is modern with a hint of street attitude. We enjoyed a three course meal - deciding what to have was difficult because it all looks so good! The cupcakes are loaded with goodness. This is a restaurant that will stand well in time. Keep up the great work!

Let me start of by saying I am not vegan or vegetarian. But this is probably one of my favorite places to go to. The staff is always friendly and the food is outstanding. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for about a year and a half and tried a lot of different thing of their menu and it is all so good! The owners are extremely nice and will actually come around and say hi and introduce themselves and make sure your dinner experience is going great. They have recently added some new items to their menu and I can not wait to try it!

In times of pandemic a takeout is more than just meal after long day of work. It’s also a way to show our support to local restaurants. Here is why we are leaving only two stars: While dining-in can have a good first impression, takeout is stripped of the usual atmosphere and it leaves you solely with the opinion of the food We ordered two hamburgers with fries, mac & cheese and gnocchi. All meals were ridiculously salty (hence the first star taken). The gnocchi on top of being salty had a hair in it which is a huge concern hence the second star taken, and the hamburger patties are generic “beyond meet” which we overlooked when placing an order. The third star isn’t taken for patties though since it was our fault for not reading the menu but for the price vs quality and quantity. We payed $110 for our order (3 adults and a child) which according to our experience is much more than this mediocre meal was worth. We wish you all the best but we will not be returning.

We went here during the brief time that indoor dining had re-opened this month, and I’ve been missing the food ever since! The crab cakes were especially delicious, but I also really loved the lettuce wraps. My sister got a mushroom truffle flatbread and really enjoyed that as well. The staff were great, and even though Aperol Spritz was not on the drink menu, they made us a couple and it was probably the best one I’ve ever had. Really great ambience, great décor, great food, great service. Highly recommend

Good food! I really like the lettuce wraps and the chocolate cake. I took a star off because the one day I went for brunch with my boyfriend, we ended up spending over 2 hours in the restaurant. We both ordered the Hollandaise Benny Sausage Plate, and ended up waiting over an hour for them. It seemed a little long for two breakfast sandwiches and some potatoes. The waitresses were very apologetic but it was too long for a brunch meal. However I’ve never received slow service during dinner time. We went twice for dinner and the service was great and fast! The owner is also very sweet and made sure to check up on everyone and make sure everyone was enjoying their food.

My sons (13 + 15) and I enjoyed their Thanskgiving Take-Out as our 1st meal from Community. Staff were super nice, location is lovely. I really enjoyed how the whole meal had very "holiday" flavours and spices. In true holiday fashion, we couldn't eat it all (yay, leftovers!). The boys loved the soup and stuffing, and then dessert, and I loved the lentil loaf and incredibly flavourful squash. It was a tremendous blessing to find a special, plant-based Thanksgiving meal this year, thank you!

On this day in the campaign, I was tasked with picking up the new sign in Oakville. They lent me the car and I made no mistake on where to go, if you are looking for plant-based in Oakville, Community is the spot. Having only dined here once before, I was excited to sit down and take in the scenery. Given the proximity of the sign shop to the restaurant, I decided to eat first then retrieve the sign. I was mesmerized by the menu. Each item I read I could feel myself connecting deeper with the animals that have come before and those that will follow me. After extensive research, I understood the choice I had to make. The only person capable of choosing my dish, would be someone worthy of wielding the sacred uniform. I explained to the server that I was a simple, philistine when it came to the exquisite cuisine presented to me. The server’s shoelaces did not come untied as they were sympathetic to my cause. By the time my food came I finally realized the meaning of existence. It came to me on a plate. At first, I was hesitant, I analyzed the dish and decided to cut into it with my knife. I could a feel a magnetic pull between the food and my heart. Once I took my first bite, I would never be the same again. Upon each chew I could hear my microbiome cheering. By the time I had finished, it became obvious that I would in fact be getting a dessert. The patio was an excellent place to sit, I was in plain view of my car, and I did not pay for parking. It is situated on one of Oakville’s loveliest downtown streets. Even though I ended up arriving at the sign shop merely 30 minutes after it closed, it was well worth the trip to my neighbouring city. Let it be known that when I get the car again, I will certainly return to Community.

This plant based restaurant is amazing! I ordered the gourmet burger with fries and it was honestly the best burger i've eaten in my life. It tasted like beef but it wasnt. The staff are also incredible, super kind and welcoming. I will definitley recommend to everyone even if they arent vegan and I will return 1000000000000 amount of times :) Love this place so much. <3 Thank you for your time and service.

We came here for a birthday where a few of us were vegetarian. It was fantastic! The ambience is really nice! They have a ton of really good drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). All the food was spectacular. We had spicy buffalo cauli, mushroom gnoochi and crab cake burger. Another person in our party had the pizza and said it was really really good. We will definitely be back and so glad we tried this place out!! Looking forward to coming here for brunch too!

This is my absolute favourite vegan restaurant from Hamilton to Toronto. Right from my first visit I fell in love with the owners & their staff, the beautifully designed and welcoming vibe and their food is out of this world! I bring my non vegan friends and family and they all love it, even the teenagers! I always feel like its a full experience when I go. The brunch is my absolute fav (omelette and pancakes with the berry sauce.. drooling..), the truffle poutine, crab cakes, gnocchi, lovely seasonal salads and their new onion rings...its really hard to decide. Many of their options are gluten free or can be made. You will not be disappointed! xo

My wife picked up food earlier this week and was outraged with the fact the person helping her was not wearing a mask. From the way the person was speaking, she appears to be the manager or owner of the restaurant. They also walked into the back of the kitchen without a mask to get the food. So I assume employees in the back are likely not wearing masks either. We have eaten here twice before however, that will be our last time. We have been to many restaurants during the past few weeks and this was the first time we saw staff without proper protective gear. Very disappointed. Please follow the rules and protect our community and your customers.

We're vegan (actually Whole Food Plant-based) and loved the creative guacamole, salads and other dishes (I finally had a guilt-free 'pizza' equivalent) in this 100% plant-based restaurant. Also great service & fair prices ($ 110 for 4 people with 2 appetizers, 4 mains, 1 dessert, 1 coffee). Service was excellent.

Everything on the menu is delicious but the wild mushroom risotto or the sausage & peppers fusilli pasta are my favourites. If you like gnocchi, then you have to try the truffle gnocchi! Sometimes if I just need some comfort food I'll pick up the truffle fries with mushroom gravy. The service & conversation are great too. We felt like old friends from the very first visit and everyone I've sent to this restaurant has come back with glowing reviews.

Alka and the staff are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. I love that many of them are holistic nutritionists so they value health as much as tasty food. The food is incredible - the mushroom gravy is the best! It's also nice to have a great ambiance and higher end feel to a vegan restaurant. Whether you're vegan or not, you will love the food! Ok this place is wonderful… I can’t believe how unique and iconic the setting is inside. Staff was so pleasant and kind, owner amazing, inspiring. Had the Truffle Gnocchi and it was superb - Red Seal Chef there too!! My wife had the Sausage and Slaw and I got to enjoy some, also highly recommend. My wife brought me here for brunch and I was a bit skeptical at first not having good experiences at a few other Vegan restaurants I have visited in the past. I have to say though, I could not have been more wrong! The food was FANTASTIC!! Superb presentation and amazing flavors!! I definitely recommend the avocado mushroom toast and their French toast. My only critique would be the service. Although the server was super friendly, we didn't see anyone after the food was brought out until our bill was presented. A refill on their "bottomless" coffee would have been nice. Regardless, I can't wait to try some of their entrees!!!

And the nachos with potato skins tossed into the mix are sensational! :-) I found this place because my fiancee is vegan and we were looking for spots to go together. However, as a non-vegan, I can say this is easily one of my favourite places to eat anywhere. Definitely worth you popping by for a bite. I promise. :-)

My wife and I dined in for lunch, now I love meat, but I didn't notice I was at a vegan restaurant because the flavors were so on point and delicious. Great food is great food no matter if it's with meat or without. We had the Mac and cheese, dosa, nachos and gnocchi (yummy). Would recommend all again. Service was genuine and intentional. As non-vegan couple, We were interested to try some vegan options and Community seemed just like the perfect place. We ordered Penne Mac and cheese, the sauce tasted exactly like Egyptian style fava beans, loved the taste. Ordered Community salad the big one, was not impressed honestly and we did try truffle fries. Overall, it is a lovely experience, there are more options in the menu, and the place is nice and roomy.

Community is the second best vegan restaurant I've ever eaten at, surpassed only by michlen star holding restaurants. The reason why they are worth 5-stars to be is because of the tofu, the tofu was the best tofu I have ever had in my life. The tacos were good, I felt like they were missing something savior but they were light and refreshing which is a welcomed change from heavier tacos.

The food here is often delicious and the portions are generous. The quality does seem to vary a lot so it seems to depend on who is making the food, so don't expect your favourite item to be as good the next time, or if you were disappointed there is definitely worth in going back and trying again. But when it's good, it realllllllly really really good. The interior is beautiful, the staff are very friendly, the desserts are really lovely and they have great variety on the menu. Even my father who is not a fan of anything called "vegan" enjoyed quite a few menu items. There is a lot of delicious options, the caesar wrap and buffalo caesar wrap is incredibly good and never disappoints, even when they are a bit stingy with the tofu/cauliflower (rare but it happens). The salads are filling, delicious and beautiful. The more healthful options are always filling and satisfying, and the heavier options are comforting and worth the overwhelming urge to nap afterwards. That said I really feel they overcompensate with the fries. They will give you a ton of fries when really I'd just rather have no fries and a dollar cheaper wrap or sandwich, instead of enough fries to feed 2- 3 people. I hate wasting food but there comes a point where I can't force feed myself any more cold mushy fries. Feels like they are added on to justify the cost. Whatever, the price is definitely worth it, even with the food waste of a mountain of fries. Be prepared to wait an hour or more for your food. I recommend showing up 10 or so minutes after the pick up time they tell you, as I have yet to come pick up my food and have it ready at the time I was told (they very graciously offer to call you when it's ready sometimes, which is definitely the best system). Yesterday my boyfriend had to wait for 30 minutes after our pick up time, but they very kindly compensated his time with a few desserts. And again, worth the wait for sure! I can't say I have never been disappointed, but when they do well the food is amazing and keeps me coming back for more despite the occasional letdown.

Our server was amazing and she helped me and my friend chose the dishes as we were so confused. I tried their Burger(Crab Cake Burger) and the Patty is made in restaurant from scratch. It is so juicy and crunch and was delicious. My friend had Butter Tofu which is one of their popular dishes. Both the dishes were amazing. Loved the food and the ambience and will definitely go there again.

This is a fairly good restaurant on Kerr st. Kerr st has a lot pf great restaurants that are all walking distance from one another. I went to community because of the high rating om google. I ordered the Lentil Crepe meal. Overall it was descent in taste, it's a bit bland and there are not many spices or exotic flavors within. I also had the cafe latte, it came out very luke warn, I drank it fully in a few gulps. I ordered the oatmeal cookie, it was extremely large, borderline a meal on its own. The price was very reasonable.

My partner chose this restaurant to have brunch. Neither of us knew it was vegan but we were not disappointed. The crab cake burger was excellent and I was thoroughly impressed. I've had vegan food and always keep an open mind but Community is by far the best vegan food I have ever had. I also had the shared platter with guacamole and my partner got a pizza. I forgot what both dishes were specifically called but I imagine each pizza and other items are just as delicious as the ones we got. The chips they use for the guacamole seems to be made in house (not sure I could be wrong) but it tastes so good even by itself. The customer service was excellent. My partner and I didnt have a reservation but they ladies went above and beyond to get us a table. The staff appeared to be following covid-19 protocols. The only constructive tip I can give is maybe have the employees wear glasses for their own protection. They talk to customers while they are eating and it could be beneficial to wear it to reduce the risk of an outbreak for staff. Also, I loved that the owner is actively engaged with staff and patrons. I didnt catch her name but I noticed her helping around the restaurant. Instead of being a traditional manager that barks commands, she talks and actually respects her staff. Coming from a customer service background, this is a breath of fresh air. I love seeing management uplift and actually care about their staff. So in conclusion, I am willing to come from Toronto to have more of their delicious food and hospitality. I'm glad we found this place by accident and I hope to see this business grow and hopefully open a spot in the GTA.

We will have to try this place again to see if they have worked out the kinks. Servers should be trained to write down orders. The errors were quickly fixed but if the brand new server had written down the order, it would have been correct. The water glasses are tiny and need constant refilling.

Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries were soggy and the mac and cheese was bland and had a weird texture. We ordered online and were only able to pick up our food 2 hours later, which we weren't expecting. I understand staffing is an issue with regards to the pandemic, but it would have helped a lot to know about the delay.

Great new addition to the Kerr Street strip (which seems to have become a haven for vegans!). We went on Friday night. Space was modern and trendy, though the front space might be a bit cold in the winter months. We sat in the back space - but look forward to using the front space in the spring/summer. The burger, rigatoni and cauliflower were all delicious - but a special shout out to the truffle fries and tzatziki, which were particularly good (despite that I am not a fan of vegan dairy substitutes). I would go back just for the fries and would eat anything with that tzatziki. Service was highly attentive. You can feel the passion for what they do in this place. We will be back.

The food is always top notch, so much flavour and the presentation never disappoints. The staff is so kind, professional and incredibly accommodating. If I had to choose my favourite plate on the menu, it would be the Vegan lovers flatbread, the sweet and spicy lettuce cups, or the caesar wrap with truffles fries ... and you can't forget the pancakes ... so good. lol If you're looking for a restaurant that has a lot of personality & great food, this will also be your new favourite spot.

This restaurant deserves its high rating! I was so pleasantly surprised that it outlived its hype!! Restaurant is entirely plant based and, as normally a carnivore, I could be converted to eat only plant alternatives for sausages and eggs. Delicious food all around. I had the hollandaise Benny, a truffle for dessert and a latte (with Almond milk). I loved every bit of it. Tasty, well made, great customer service and cute restaurant. I will be bringing my vegan friends and family members here as it deserves at least a few return visits.

Had a wonderful relaxed birthday lunch with my friend today. The food was fantastic we had the community nachos which were loaded with all kinds of interesting tastes...quite filling too. WE also had the community salad and the crab cakes, all freshly prepared from scratch. Delicious! For dessert we had the double chocolate walnut cookie. Everything was fantasitc. The owner is lovely and extremely attentive. She like so many other sole proprietors/restauranteurs are trying hard to get their new staff up to par so please remember there is a bit of learning curve happening. And there is an awesome cheese shop next door!! All around a great day!

Community is a gem! We held a small celebration dinner for my daughter here and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and our guests loved the food (even the non-vegans/vegetarians!). The cauliflower florets and butter tofu were just some of our favourites. This has been my second time ordering from here. First time was good, yet insanely overpriced for a salad and a smoothie. Smoothie was pretty disappointing in all honesty, and they forgot I had ordered it too so they had to go make it while I wait with the rest of my food. Second time: unfortunately I found a long white-ish hair in my takeout dish. Ordered online and when I arrived to pickup, they did not receive my initial order so I had to wait. Disappointed to have waited and gone out of my way for a meal I had to throw out because I found a hair in it... Was not worth the fuss or the price, let alone the hair! Definitely more consistent and cost-friendly vegan restaurant options in the area. I don't think I will be back.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered from this restaurant their food is incredible! They have the most delicious vegan food and also offer gluten free. Their Caesar salad is incredible whether you like crispy fries or sweet potatoe you won’t be disappointed They are masters of delicious sauces and their sausage and penne is decadent, it’s made with beyond meat sausage. Overrated, at 4.8 review, I've been to much better restaurants. Nacho and fries were not fresh, server didn't take time to ask if we wanted the small or larger size and gave us large size sushi bowl anyway. Had to ask several times about cutlery and napkinks. And we were rushed out the door because of a party.

I eat meat. A lot. My girlfriend, however, does not. That said, I still think that I still ended up more impressed with my meal than she did. The penne mac & cheese on the menu here is beyond explanation; I don't understand how so many variable, condensed flavours can fit into one dish. It's nutty, creamy, savoury, and smoky all at the same time. Usually I can't stand pasta dishes due to the hegemony of each bite, but this dish is packed with so much deliciousness that, by the time I was finished, I cursed myself for not taking my time! Meat eaters: you owe it to yourselves to try this place out. With the exception of the lentil crepe, everything we tried exceeded our expectations tenfold. Will absolutely, without a doubt, be coming back soon!

We just happened to go there for brunch and are so glad we chose this place. The food is flavoursome and portions are good. We tried the crab cakes and..boy! I am a sea food lover and I devoured it!. The truffle fries poutine and with the mushroom gravy was delicious. The gourmet burger was filling and yummy. To top it the pancakes were so delicious. My friends and I came to community to try a vegan restaurant for the first time. We were impressed with the options and were surprised there were so many. We had to get the mac and cheese and it was amazing, as well as the buffalo cauli wrap. But even better than the food was the amazing service. The owner was great and even showed us her husbands art. The restaurant has a great aesthetic and we really enjoyed the empress tonic drink that we got as well.

Ordered take-away for lunch. The food was so delicious! Ordered the Sweet & Spicy Lettuce Cups and the Gourmet Burger (with Beyond Meat patty). Portion sizes were generous and truffled fries that came with the burger were decadent and amazing! We also ordered the Very Berry Sweet Smoothie which was, as advertised, berry and sweet :) Don't be afraid of the vegan menu - the food is delicious and the 'burger' did a great job emulating an actual meat burger (my husband ate it and he always prefers 'real' beef and to his surprise, really enjoyed it). Staff were lovely and the food was ready and packed when I arrived. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that would be expected given the ingredients.

We have been regulars at Community since its opening. There are few plant based restaurants in our area and we got incredibly lucky to have this one. We have tried almost every item on the menu and they are all incredible and beautifully presented. The owners are wonderful/caring women who made our dine in experience wonderful. They make each customer feel special. Since COVID-19, we have been ordering curb-side pickup every week. The only thing we miss is the ambiance of the restaurant itself. This place is used to be very nice with a great service and food. Unfortunately, last time we had a very weird experience. Most of the tables were dirty, waiters forgot about us, so we had to come to them and ask for a menu. Then we were waiting for 20 minutes to make an order. It looked like there always a lack of professional management. Hopefully, it will be better soon.

Went for my wife's birthday lunch (she is lactose intolerance). When I saw the menu, most of the things were there which my wife loves but cant eat becaus eof milk products. Very nice ambience. I think it's one of the cutest ones in Oakville. The staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't like our food. My French toast was super soggy. I love French toast and have had so many ones from diners to fancy cafes. This felt like eating cheap bread soaked in water. The portion was huge which I don't understand why. I suggest focusing on quality vs quantity. The sauce and flavors were good though. Waste of calories and $18. I really hope they can improve the French toast. The sweet potato fries was OK ... nothing special. The other dishes might be great so still worth a try but don't have high expectations:(

The sushi bowl is literally one of the best things I have ever eaten. Due to various allergy issues, when I eat out I typically end up with a salad bowl, and even really good salad bowls can get a bit tedious if you eat enough of them... The food is delicious and made from scratch and the staff are always happy to accomodate my dietary restrictions of no onions and garlic :) Such a relief because this is often challenging at most restaurants, I often feel sad that I can no longer enjoy food the way that my body used to be able to - but I don't feel this way at Community! The service is wonderful by each staff member we have met, they are warm, helpful and friendly! Mark and I now buy food from here almost every week ????

Omg where do I even begin?! ???? My boyfriend and I went to Community Restaurant for the first time on Sunday September 20th to celebrate my birthday two days early and we felt like royalty!! Vanusa, one of the owners is such a kind lady and she’s so full of positive energy - it was so refreshing to be around her. Amy was our waitress and she was out of this world efficient, polite, funny, helpful, informative, etc. We told her the specifics (Our tolerance for heat/spicy foods is no good lol, we’re unsure of what some ingredients are, etc.) and she gladly went through the entire menu with us without hesitation. The food was outstanding...we ordered a variety of dishes and couldn’t even finish them because the portions were very generous but we were so excited knowing that we’d have all of these gourmet leftovers. Shout out to chef Josh who was cookin’ up all of our food yesterday...how delicious!! ???????? We’d return in a heartbeat to try the rest of the menu items ???? We went to have dinner as a family last week and were very impressed with the friendly staff who made us feel as though we had been there so many times. We chose the tasting menu, which had an absolutely spectacular selection of dishes which included all textures, colours and flavours. We chose a few items and shared them. The truffle Gnocchi and the burger were delicious. The soup and cauliflower fritters were tasty and just the perfect portion size. We left stuffed and happy. I have my eye on the Phish Filet and Lettuce Cups for my next visit.

As usual, this place is amazing! We just ordered dinner tonight and no regrets! I really enjoyed the crab cake burger, while my husband basically inhaled his "Big Mac". After a bit, we'll dig into our slice of Rolo cake and wish that we had each gotten our own instead of fighting over the last bite. LOL! We're trying to do our part to support local businesses during Covid (especially plant-based ones! ) and Community makes it very easy for us. We'll be back soon!

We had the opportunity to visit a couple of times during our last stay in Oakville and this place did not disappoint! I HIGHLY recommend you visit for Dinner! Not only is this restaurant BEAUTIFUL but the food is Wonderful! We loved everything we tried. Our favorites though were the Poutine (easily the best Poutine we have ever had), The Flatbread (Yummy) and the Cesar Wrap. The owner even came by at the end of our meal to introduce herself and thank us for coming by. We will Definitely be back!

This restaurant is awesome! It's new and they're already super busy, so be patient if you go. But trust me, it's worth the wait for your food because it all tastes amazing and you can tell it's freshly made and made with love. Might be the friendliest place we've ever been to as well. The owner, the wait staff and even the kitchen staff made an effort to come and say hello. We'll be back for the fries, the crab cakes, the cupcakes and to try some more things. This is a chic hidden gem…maybe not so hidden as they have amazing reviews, which is what drew us to this place. First time at a vegan restaurant, we tried a variety of dishes, cauliflower app, tofu lettuce cups, pasta and a rice dish. All packed a flavour punch for sure! Fresh ingredients, well crafted and presented menu, and excellent service to top it off. We’ll be back for more.

Have been here a couple times. And honestly. The hype isn’t worth it. And the wait for the food is beyond long. On every visit. The deep fried food taste like it’s cooked in very old oil. Seems like the deep fryer hasn’t been cleaned since the stone ages. Stay away from the crab cakes -Disgusting. Also tried the gnocchi before and I felt like I was chewing on rocks. There are way better options to eat at in Oakville.

After many times of ordering take out, we finally went in last night to celebrate our sons birthday. I must say the staff is amazing and the servers are extremely polite. The food is flavoursome and portion sizes are perfect. Finally got to try their famous crab cakes and WOW!! The truffle and wild mushroom Risotto was delicious. We chose the 2017 France Haut Grelot Sauvignon Blanc and the owner Vanusa assured us we would love it! And was she ever right! Thank you Community for making our first experience there a great one, we will be back again.

Got take out from here today. Service was friendly and the place is welcoming and elegant inside. We had the butter tofu and the Big Mac. The fries that came with the Big Mac were amazing, which is sometimes hard to come by! The burger was okay but the gluten free bun they used isn’t the best (it’s too thick and doughey). The butter tofu sadly wasn’t at all what we were expecting. We had hoped for a creamy, slightly sweet but well seasoned dish, just like the original (probably with a cashew cream subbing in for the heavy cream). What we got was an extremely spicy and oily dish that was noticeably heavy on the “garam” spices (unusual for a “butter” dish), and way more like a vindaloo. Would be good if we were expecting that but it just wasn’t. (I’m South Asian, which is perhaps why I had such specific expectations for this dish.) The rice was also undercooked (slightly hard) and watery. Side pappadum was great though, and the portion was very generous! I hope to be back and try more dishes, maybe our selections just weren’t the right ones today! I’d also love to dine in one day, given the elegant yet laid back atmosphere. Portions are very generous, prices slightly steep but not considerably, as they match the restaurant experience, and it’s evident that fresh ingredients are used and no shortcuts are taken. The many allergen friendly options are also appreciated. There’s room for improvement: maybe a new GF bun would be better (for ex. the one at Burger’s Priest is great, and vegan), and Indian inspired dishes could be altered to match their descriptions. A great place overall though with so many options; a welcome and special addition to Oakville and the GTA’s vegan food!

Wife and I googled for a restaurant for lunch in the area and ended up here. Had no idea it was vegan until seated with my beer. The waitress was very helpful and reassured me that many people have entire meals before realizing that the food is vegan. She was right. We had crab cakes, burger, and poutine. The food was very high quality and if I had not read on the menu that what I was eating was vegan I would not have known. I am eating leftover poutine as I write this review. No idea how they made the gravy taste as good as it does without meat. Well done, will recommend to friends.

We ordered a bunch of the dishes to try, such as the truffle fries poutine, potato skin nachos, the flat breads, cauli wings, crab cakes all were delicious!! Customer service was excellent. This was my first time coming, we had take out, but as soon as the lock down subsides we will come in for dine in too. I have now told multiple people about this place! The Community Restaurant came highly recommended. My daughters and I stopped by last night for dinner. We reserved on-line and received a personal phone call to confirm our reservation. We started with the community nachos and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious and full of flavour. Then we shared three large plates - the Chickpea Curry, the Truffle Gnocchi and the Truffle and Wild Mushroom Risotto. Portions were huge and flavours were exceptional. We left with full bellies and lots of leftovers for lunch the next day. A+++ meal.

I have been to Community many times and enjoyed it every time. On Mother’s Day I had the Mother’s Day brunch and enjoyed every bite. There was so much wonderful food including soup, salad, frittata and sausage with hollandaise. To top it off there was an absolutely amazing cinnamon bun with cream cheese topping. Melted in your mouth. The only thing that would have been better would have been to be able to eat in the restaurant. I will be back for their regular menu and any special menu they have going on again!

This place has amazing dishes. The only downfall for me is that I was given a gift card to here, and it is hard to use it. I went in one friday and it was extremely busy and understaffed. After waiting 40 minutes for my food, the poor lone waitress (who was doing the work of 3 people, easily) couldn't figure out how to get the gift card to work and there was a huge line behind me so I just used my debit. Now I try to call again tonight after picking out what I want, called twice no answer. I assume its understaffed and busy again. Great food, bad customer service on my experience.

Wow! My partner and I tried Community Restaurant for the first time and we were honestly blown away! The pictures don’t even do the food justice because it was just the most flavourful and amazing meal we’ve had! We ordered the crab cakes, truffle poutine, vegan lovers flatbread and truffle gnocchi. You MUST try the crabcakes because they’re out of this world and my partner commented that the house-made mozzarella on the flat bread was “to die for” (his words not mine) ???? The food was absolutely incredible. We got the Lover pizza, the truffle risotto, and the large caeser salad. The Pizza was the best we have had since going Vegan several years ago and it's not even close. The risotto was full of delicious flavor and was very filling and had a sizeable portion - I had about half before being full and keeping the rest as leftovers. The Caeser was creamy and sharp simultaneously. We were blown away by the selection available and by the quality of the food. We will absolutely be ordering again.

Went here for dinner the other night, the food had exceeded my expectations and was very fresh! I had the buffalo cauliflower caesar wrap which tasted amazing, the breading on the cauliflower was delicious, and the fries were super fresh with the perfect amount of seasoning. The staff were super attentive/friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing dinner. As a vegan it can sometimes be hard to find spots that offer such quality food, definitely a new go to spot!

Been going here for a while now. Food is excellent and super tasty even for non-vegans. The cauliflower bites, risotto, and chocolate cake are standouts. The service is starting to lack though. Appetizers and mains coming out at different times, food not always made correctly or missing items, and backlog of orders resulting in 1+ hour waits (which I acknowledge is an issue at a lot of places right now). Once the newer waitstaff are a bit more comfortable, it’ll be definitely deserving of 5 stars.

I visited community for brunch and really enjoyed the entire experience! Community restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere; the space itself is well decorated in a modern high-end --but not stuck up-- style. Making this a great place to grab a coffee, a drink, or have a date. The food was spot on for me! The huevos rancheros I had were very delicious, all flavours were spot on and not all over-spiced. Other dishes looked really tasty, I hope to try the french toast, and the blini next time! (Community had several GF options for anyone with allergy concerns as well) Service at community is great, everyone is very friendly and helpful! I will be recommending Community to my friends, and definitly will be visiting again soon. With an option like this in Oakville, there is no need to go all the way to Toronto for some fine vegan dining.

Returned to Community after having issues with some staff. I must say the staff member was very warm and welcoming when placing my pickup order, safe to say the issue has been resolved from previous visits. The food was still warm on arrival and presentation was beautiful of the food. Their new bowl is definitely going to be a go to for future orders and is so filling! Crispy tofu on the side literally tastes like chicken tenders with great seasoning with a crispy outside (love). The Benny breakfast is served with French fries now, but the egg Benny is still just as great and the 2 warm tomatoes is what makes it what it is. Also ordered the Rolo cake for the first time, it's nice, but very sweet. The carrot cake is still my number 1. Overall, a very nice visit with all the food exceeding expectations.

One of the best vegan restaurants in the GTA, in my opinion. Great dinner/lunch/brunch menu, which they change up fairly regularly, the food is tasty and always top quality. The staff and owners are attentive and lovely. Not to mention the inside is aesthetically pleasing! Worth visiting whether you’re vegan or not! ????

Not a great experience tonight for a family celebration. The appetizer we ordered never showed up. The server didn’t seem to notice and had forgotten what we’d ordered. She didn’t really apologize and instead got defensive, blaming “training” and tried to appease us by telling us we wouldn’t be charged for what we hadn’t received (!). Food was tasty but risotto was soupy - clearly not well prepared. I won’t be running back any time soon. UPDATE - I spoke with the owner and she is trying very hard to make up for service deficiencies - sounds like she is struggling like so many others with labour shortages in the hospitality sector. I am very willing to give this restaurant another try based on the conversation and her kind offer of a credit.

I was delighted to see that Community is on Ubereats. Ordered right away. Had the Sausage and Peppers, the avocado share plate and the mushroom risotto. All was absolutely delicious . A must try!

I placed an order via Uber Eats on April 20th for the crab cake burger and the chickpea curry. It was my first time ordering so I was super super excited and called the restaurant a few times to decide what to order. The person the line was super helpful and made great recommendations- the owner even guided me as to how to warm up the food since I would be having it for Iftar and I ordered 30 min beforehand since the restaurant was closing. The crab cake burger was the best burger I've ever had- it was TRULY incredible. 10/10 for that. The chickpea curry tasted good but had a slight problem. The restaurant quickly reached out to me and dropped off a delicious dinner- on the house. Full marks for the food, and full marks for the customer service. Can't wait to order again!

I was super excited that a new plant-based restaurant was opening in my neighbourhood so imagine how happy I was when it turned out to be one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Oakville. I went twice in their opening week. The first time was with my boyfriend who is not vegan and he couldn't believe what he ate was fully plant based. We had the za'atar flatbread, the gourmet burger and split a piece of cake. And it was amazing, so delicious. A few days later I went back to treat myself to lunch for getting a major project done. I had the cauliflower florets and followed that with the community bowl. The food again was unbelievable. The service was fantastic and the decor is stunning. I really recommend giving this place a try, in fact I'm most likely bringing my mom here next week! Pics are from my 2nd visit :D

My partner and I tried Community Restaurant for the first time yesterday. It's great to have all-vegan restaurants to go to! We ordered the caesar wraps- the food was okay (the tofu was very flavourful) and portions were large. Unfortunately my partner found a human hair (a piece approximately two inches long) in her wrap. Neither of us could stomach another bite more after that and the rest of our $40 meal went to waste. Without the hair situation I don't think the food would have been enough to bring us back, but after finding the hair, we won't be back.
