Tried the chicken souvlaki and homous with pita. The food took a bit long to come out even though it wasn’t busy, or maybe we were just hungry. The homous wasn’t as creamy as I normally like it and the pita was dry, the chicken souvlaki promised and delivered juiciness but it was lacking a lot of flavour. Overall not the greatest greek restaurant experience I’ve had, since Greek food normally promises and delivers on its cuisine.

It was a delightful surprise of a meal. A client took me here for lunch the other day and hinted that I’d get the octopus meal. I didn’t want him to spend an arm and a leg on lunch but I can’t say no! The octopus was fantastic, perfect texture, tasted phenomenal and a decent portion size as well. The rice, potatoes and salad were good compliments to that octopus. Service was great, it was a pretty slow afternoon which made everything even better. I’d love to come back on a busy evening and see if they can match the quality performed on a slow lunch afternoon. Definitely recommended.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I ordered pork souvlaki and it Cost $20. Small portion, and looks like rice was thrown into platter from 10’ away. If you’re going to charge $20, at least add a few more potatoes to fill it up so it doesn’t look like a rip off. The pita costs an extra $2??? Extremely disappointed.

Came for my aunts birthday. Venue was fantastic. They did a amazing job acomadating our party. Highly reccomend. Reasonable sized parking lot right behind the restaurant.

Great customer service is rare. Colossus in Oakville went over and above yesterday. My family and I ordered through skip the dishes. Unfortunately only half of our order was delivered. When I called the restaurant they apologized profusely and then went the extra mile. They hopped in their car and delivered the rest of our order during a brutal rainstorm even adding in some extra food/desserts. The food was really good and going the extra mile has earned our business going forward. Well done.

We were there last night for dinner. It was very pleasant experience. The food was excellent and the portions were huge! The shrimps were delicious. Service was fine as it was quite busy. I will go back again in the future ISA.

The food was all really good. I wish the haloumi and calamari (starters) were served warmer, the mains, exohika, salmon, and Greek paella, were all wonderful. Server was super helpful and always there. Love the vibe.

Nice patio, delicious food, good service, fair prices. The grilled octopus and fried calamari were both cooked perfectly and were good serving sizes. Servers were friendly, courteous, and quick. The patio is a little bit tighter but still plenty of room to feel comfortable.

Reasonably priced. Good portions. Got the platter for 2: if you're starving, then good. Otherwise, 3 or 4 people can eat this shareable and leave satisfied. Everything was cooked well (except maybe the pork, slightly overdone). Would come back again for dinner and try out their lamb this time.

Great food with great service. I was especially impressed by the interior of this place; nicely decorated with white and blue. The server was very friendly and helpful when making recommendation. The portion was reasonable and as well as the price. The one downside was the food was quite salty. In general, I really enjoyed my first visit and I'd like to visit again.

This was honestly the best Greek food that I have ever had in my entire life. Service was amazing, and extremely helpful with deciding on what to eat since everything sounded so good. I highly highly recommend this place if you are craving Greek food, it is worth the drive for this place. Find parking is a struggle though. Sitting out in the patio was fun too. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the Phyllo pastry was flaky and stuffed to the max. The veggies were grilled just right too. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience here.

Mediocre. You'll expect to get a Greek experience! The food is lacking talent, just an assembly of Greek type food and plenty of pita vedges, drenched în oil. Given the location, given the status, is not convincing. Greek food în need of flair.

My husband chose your restaurant for our first post-COVID date night out. I thought, great! We’ve always loved your food, and did take-out with you through the pandemic. We were expecting a nice, relaxing evening on your patio. Nope. One of your waiters bullied us, and rushed us through our meal. If you had told us up- front, in a kind way, about your time limit, it would have been fine. Instead, you’ve lost a loyal customer.

This is one of my favorite patios downtown Oakville, and definately one of my go too places when I have patio beers on the mind. I have been to many Greek restaurants across Ontario and this one is definitely one of the best. Great food, good atmosphere, good service, good Greek beer selection, and portions are good as well.

Colossus Greek Taverna’s Oakville location is wonderful with their menu of Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Their souvlaki meats are grilled to perfection, complimented by side dishes of buttery rice, lemony potatoes, and crispy Greek salad. During these many, many months of pandemic restrictions, Colossus curbside pickup was and continues to be our weekly treat dinner pickup and the staff are always so welcoming. Their traditional Greek dishes with local Canadian ingredients will leave you dreaming of the Mediterranean without leaving Oakville!

So where do I begin. So I drove all the way to Oakville in search of food because I was going to be in the area anyways. We (my friend and I) approached the area where there were restaurants. We saw the Greek place and thought it would be a great idea to eat from there. As we approached the restaurant we stood by hoping someone in the hospitality business would greet us and possibly serve us or better yet acknowledge us. So as we were just aimlessly standing hoping to be helped, a young server looked at us but didn’t greet us. I had asked if there was a table available and the first thing that came out of his mouth was “reservations, always reservation”, as he continued to help others and brush us off. The customer service that we didn’t receive was absolutely atrocious, the restaurant needs to focus a lot more on customer service being that it’s located in a region with a certain clientele. Terrible, customer service.

Been closed due to COVID-19 now it's open I expected spotless clean and over the top service but none of the above. Very dirty carpet as you walk in to the restaurant floors are dirty. A go-to spot for Greek food in Oakville! The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and has wonderful service as well. I always enjoy their lamb souvlaki, it’s a great portion! If you want to share they recommended getting one platter and an extra lamb skewer and that worked out perfectly. Their trio of dips for appetizer is delicious as well! The spicy feta is a must try.

Fantastic meal. The fish was cooked to perfection and the portion was massive; I almost couldn't finish it. The salad and pilaf were wonderful foils to the fish, as the flavours worked very well with the salmon. I would definitely return, I'd like to sample the spreads.

First experience with the Tavernna and I am so impressed. Fun Greek beer and great portion sizes. The outdoor patio can be a little noisy from the street but great sunshine an atmosphere.

Ordered, and was enjoying, a bottle of wine and appetizer. Was ready to order entrees - we were at our table for less than 30 minutes. Manager attends our table and curtly tells us there is a 90 minute seating limit. Evidently, she didn’t appreciate our business. If you appreciate quality customer service, this is perhaps not the best choice of restaurant.

Colossus came highly recommended and as such my wife and I had elevated expectations for our first visit. When we walked in, it became immediately obvious that this was a warm and welcoming environment, and at first glance all of the seated patrons were enjoying themselves. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The Homous was smooth and flavourful without being overly garlicky and the Saganaki, flambeed at the table, is a definite must have. For my main, I deviated from the norm of souvlaki and instead opted for the fried calamari dinner which came with the best Greek salad I've ever had and beautifully crisp calamari sided with rice and potatoes. My wife went with her favourite Greek dish Mousaka, needless to say, she was not disappointed. With the two appetizers and generous portions of the dinners, we had no room left for desert, but that's not a bad thing! The service is attentive and friendly. We definitely felt welcome and that our presence was appreciated. Colossus is definitely worthy of a date-night return visit! On a practical note, there is a parking lot immediately behind the restaurant along with a rear entrance.

The food is always fantastic here! Taste great and good portions. Has not disappointed the 4-5 times i came before. Summertime there is a streetside patio that attracts lots of customers. Saganaki cheese for starters is great and the staff makes the flame spectacle of it, always a crowd pleaser. The chicken is moist, delicious and comes with tasty rice, potatoes and greek salad with tzatziki on the side. The philo both chicken and lamb are awesome. I don't usually eat lamb, but this is an exception. It was moist, tender and tasty mixed with the feta and sauteed onions and the tomato rice is the perfect complement.

Authentic Greek food in an authentic Greece like setting, I truly love this place. No doubt why there is a waiting at this restaurant. I being a vegetarian, order the egg plant dish, don’t remember the exact name. It was scrumptious. It has a lot of non- vegetarian options too. They have amazing cocktails too

Absolutely terrible. Service slow & haphazard, though there were several slacking wait staff. Souvlaki underspiced and pork not quite cooked. Accompaniments unimpressive. Do you like soup and salad? Like it in the same bowl? Absolutely disgusting. An inch of water in the salad. 1 olive. Feta meh and insufficient. Was expecting a real Greek salad, cukes, onions, peppers etc. Got garbage in a bowl. Worst Greek I've ever had. Never Again!

Having read the reviews of this place I was very excited to try for myself, sadly it was not as good as I had imagined. Don't get me wrong it was not bad but just not as good as expected. The 4 pc lamb chops although cooked well seemed to have barely any marination, the shrimp kebob were good. It was a late take out order and hope to have a more pleasant experience on a dine in occasion.

The service left a lot to be desired. Very rushed and did not even have an offer to order a second beverage. Strange vibe the staff seemed “stressed” out. The food as in the past was pretty good so this saved the day but I don’t think we will return because service is more than 80% of the experience

Made a reservation and was given seating in the section that I preferred so a plus for this. When we questioned about a certain type of wine the server offered a taster but did say I'm really busy prior when we asked. This left me with the impression hurry up make your decision. I ordered the soulvaki chicken, meat was dry and the tatzaiki tasted like the same as Costco sells in 2 tubs from Skodatiks....aka not like real tatzaiki....I know what the real product tastes like . Expected more from a Greek food restaurant!!

This is the place for authentic greek food! Portions were large, the ambience was beautiful and the service was excellent, our server even overheard that it was my mother's birthday so he brought out a complimentary dessert even though we never told him directly. It's not pictured here, but the platter for 2 was HUGE and can definitely feed 3 people while offering a taste of various menu items.

I know small business are struggling with all restrictions and regulations by the government to keep the business going. I'm positive the amount of coustimers they have these days is cut on half. All that in not an excuse to burn the food you send it out from the restaurant. Very disappointed.

Overall atmosphere and food were good. Had the pork souvlaki wrap and the baklava for dessert. My only quarrel would be the meat wasn't as juicy or impressionable. Otherwise, would come back to try out other dishes.
