Absolutely foul. Steer clear of here. We usually go to 7 Enoteca but it is closed on Mondays. We searched up an alternative and this place was rated number 1 on way too many websites. The moment we stepped in the restaurant we knew we had made a mistake. It’s a cheesy Italian restaurant. The service was so dang slow and the food ... my German roots could make better Italian food. Edit - We had the risotto which was extremely watery. Why was it watery...?! It also had an extremely strange flavour. As well as the calamari, which was so thickly covered in batter.

On June 11th I ordered via Uber eats ... surely the worst way to order a fine Italian meal but I was desperate ! Ordered the Lasagne and accidentally the Spaghetti Pescatore ( meant to order the Tortellini ) called up and explained my mistake , no sweat they changed the order : ) The food was much better than I ever expected ! The mushroom sauce in the Tortellini was full of flavor , the lasagne was a nice portion with a nice cheese topper and tasty sauce , heck they even through in some lovely bread for dipping . I can only speak to these to items so if your order anything else it on you ! : ) And just a reminder , instead of giving a restaurant 1 star , how about you talk with the manager , I'm pretty sure they want to make you happy ... I'm gonna make the assumption that if you can afford to eat at a place like this , you have a level of success and ability to communicate effectively ... I think after the year the restaurant industry has had they deserve a break : )

Had dinner at this cozy restaurant last night with my husband and parents. Absolutely loved this place! The service was excellent. Very attentive and gave us space to enjoy our meal. The food was fantastic. We ordered the risotto which was very flavourful - one of the best I’ve ever had! The wine was great as well, we ordered a bottle of Chianti. Overall a great experience!

Exquisite food. Excellent service. My go-to for special occasions and indulgent dinners out. Well priced for such a high quality experience. My husband took me here when he proposed and they treated us like royalty and family all at the same time. BDB has become my go to spot for a night out of dining in Oakville. Lucio is a wonderful host, always great with a story or two. The wait staff are professional and so accommodating. Every meal I’ve had in the handful of times I’ve dined have been 5 star. The quality and the authenticity of the dishes are second to none. If you go by. Ask for the Spaghetti Speciale and if it’s not on the menu that night. Beg for it. Best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted!!!!

Very lovely restaurant. The food was very tasty and flavourful, everything on the plate was well cooked and picked. Nothing was overwhelming in the dish, and the selection was well put together. We had a select menu for a larger party and it was delicious. So come on down and enjoy a tasty meal, treat yo self.

The only issue is that the manager is RACIST. This may not be a big deal for some, so go ahead and enjoy your time here. We are a brown family who entered the restaurant at about 5.30pm, asked for a table at the patio or near one. The reason is that we have a toddler and he gets cranky in darker places while he enjoys the outdoors. We were falsely told that tables are all reserved and were alloted the absolute last/corner table. As feared, our little one did get cranky and we had a bad time despite the good food. We left a bit after 7pm and the restaurant was still less than half full, and all the tables we asked for were still empty. I would say it's evident why did they deny our ask and alloted a not so visible table to us. Terribly disappointing, I've never faced this in the GTA.

Tina the manager is an extraordinary person and I wouldn't be comfortable with anyone else serving our table. The food is top quality Italian cuisine. Make sure you come and ask for Tina to get quality service for your table.

I never wrote a negative review in my life but in this case I feel compelled to share my experience. I was looking forward to eating Italian food on that day but my enthusiasm was ruined by the server or maybe owner. He served us the food but never came to ask if we were doing ok even though he passed by to attend to other tables. He never came to ask if we needed more drinks, dessert or coffee. We left feeling like we’re second class citizens. I would never go there again!

Just ordered take out and was so impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The Osso bucco was so tender. Will definitely order from here again and am excited to try this place in person when things open up.

While the food was decent, many servers were anti vax and made me feel very uncomfortable. They were bragging loudly about their “freedom” t shirts from anti vax rallies. Used to really love this place.

What a pleasant delight. Was taken here by some close friends that had been meaning to try the restaurant for a while. Something called Covid got in the way of that plan until now. The restaurant is quaint and was not filled to capacity cuz of covid restrictions still in place. Jason was in charge of our service for the evening and he was wonderful. He was engaging, fun, prompt and informative. The food was really superb. We enjoyed the Bruschetta to start was done creatively and hit the spot. We added the Carpaccio which was very delicately sliced and presented with a hint of arugula. For the mains we chose the Veal Chop/Tortellini/Branzino which are depicted here however this only does it 50% justice. The taste was definitely delicious across the board and makes up the other 50%. We all agreed that Buca Di Bacco will definitely be added to our circulation of restaurants. We’ll done!

Really nice and cozy feeling in this place. They didn't have seating for us so they sat us at the bar temporarily. The staff are nice and warm, Adamek helped us quite a bit - he's just a funny guy and a good human being. The food was quite good and the portions were reasonable. The starters and the bread were great - I had the chicken supreme. The only reason that it's getting a 4-star rather than 5 is because of the price. 2 people without alcohol, 1 app and 2 mains, 1 dessert was 111$ (tip not included).

Cozy restaurant with a great selection of Italian dishes. The venue is lowkey and very elegant, yet with a touch of homeliness to it. Service was great right off the bat, attentive and prompt. The wine menu is extensive with great selections. While browsing the menu, our server brings over a tray of freshly baked bread infused with rosemary, accompanied with crushed olive purée. Very good way to start our lunch. We first ordered the wild boar Pancetta to start. It was beautifully cooked. No need for a knife to cut, it melted like butter. Delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Rigatoni Vodka and the Cavatelli aglio e olio with rapini and sausage. Both pastas were beautifully cooked, and perfectly seasoned and plated. Portions were generous as well! If you visit downtown Oakville, take some time to visit Bucca and have yourself a great Italian meal. We will be definitely coming back!

My issue with the restaurant was that 3 servers were massless, one of whom was serving my table. When I asked my server to please wear his mask he did eventually do so but I wasn’t very comfortable with the lack of covid protocol in general. In my servers defence when I asked him to cancel my order due to my lack of comfort, he was empathetic and did not charge me for my drink, which I did offer to pay for. I’m sure the food would be good. To be fair, restaurants are going through a lot of transition in the pandemic so I don’t mean this to be a negative review. Just wish they inspired more confidence on covid. We eventually ate across the street at piano piano which was great

I would give this place 4 stars. However the pizza is not quite acceptable. And many members of my party did order it, because the menu is costly. The ambience is perfect. The service is lovely. And the veal items are tasty. But the pizza was actually heartbreaking. If this item is changed even slightly, this is a 4-4.5 star Italian restaurant.

Ok I'll start off by saying it is expensive but the food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the owners/managers are so friendly and talkative. The performer is a perfect level and great singer. He was right beside us and it was never too loud. This is by definition fine dining in a casual atmosphere. The portions though are not fine dining. You get a good size meal. The ingredients are very fresh tasting and well put together. Try it out for yourself. Good for a date or a group. Make a reservation because throughout the night it does get busy and it is a small space.

Good food, great service. Came here for a communion lunch for about 30 people and they were friendly, organized and had good food. The penne a la vodka was very good and I'm not huge on pasta. The only thing I wasn't a 100% sold on was there veal as it seemed slightly salty. I'd come back again to try their menu.

Italian fine dining for sure. If you enjoy a nice relaxing good night meal, this is the place to go. Pricey but worth it for sure. We almost tried every dish and really impressive how every thing we ordered tasted amazing. Good service and cozy atmosphere. Hard to get a reservation as they get fully booked weeks in advance but will go back for sure.

We had a great time here, we went here during the covid period and everyone was either maintaining distance or wearing a mask. Our reservation was respected even if we were running a few minutes late. The food was great and Tina was a great server! I had pizza piccante and definitely recommend that if like things on the spicier side!

A lovely atmosphere and terrific food! Went for dinner with my family of four and we all loved it. Was thrilled with gluten free pasta options as well. Our server Mike was awesome - he was very attentive and gave great recommendations for everything. The risotto was bland. Not much flavor at all. The sea bass was ok. Nothing to write home about. Expected more from a 35 $ plate. Service mediocre. One person serving 5 tables. But again with covid it's understandable that you wouldn't want to overstaff. The ambiance and patio was great. Tried it. Wouldn't really go again.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been too! The interior is very accommodating and rustic, and the staff is really friendly and always recommending the best dishes! Menu is vegetarian friendly which is a huge bonus! First time going and now it is my top choice for myself personally and others around me!

Oh wow, What a deception !!! 2 entrees (mozzarella and carpaccio straight out of the pack, nothing crazy but the best part of the meal.) 2 mains, Rizzoto is absolutely disgusting and consists of over cooked long grain rice (wrong!), no cream (wrong again) and tasteless mushrooms. The veal was barely better, overcooked veggies, overcooked meat. That’s a shame. Never going back.

Very high quality food and superior taste. I have never been there but a friend of mine orders delivery food from them and I was lucky to get a taste of their great food. I wish they had a larger main dish menu because everything I tried was oh sooo delicious. You must try their veal dish it’s out of this world. They have their own app to order from.

we ordered a pizza and 2 pastas last night. Absolutely amazing. The food was hot and so good. Very friendly and wanted to make sure the timing was right so our food was hot. I would order the Riatoni Vodka and the lasagna again and certainly the pizza Calabria....the portions were generous too.

Although the service was great, unfortunately the food was mediocre. We ordered the risotto and it lacked seasoning and was a bit too watery. The appetizer we ordered was the fried Brie with figs and also lacked flavour and was pretty ordinary. 3 stars however for the great service from the front of the house!

The food was good and the ambiance reminded us of small Italian restaurants. The music was loud, making it difficult to hear table mates and wait staff. The floor manager and several employees removed their masks behind the bar while preparing drinks. They routinely touched their faces and one waiter went was far as picking his nose then grabbing the drinks he had just prepared and serving them.

The Osso Bucco meat was not tender and excessive greasy; the sauce was not tasty and fatty. Pretty much a dish of fat without flavour. The didn’t have the wine we ordered and they replaced it for another way more expensive. The place was crowded, noise and unorganized. I complained about the food and no apologize was giving to me…The Chef never came to talk to me, I believe there is no management or Chef running the restaurant. They are not a customer’s oriented business. Terrible experience so I do not recommend the place to anyone. It’s sad to see restaurants like this in Oakville are still open after the pandemic.

The food here was authentically delicious. The service was a bit relaxed, but the servers were all great. I suppose it’s a lot like the pace you’d experience in Italy, so take that as you will. We recently visited Spoleto, in the Umbrian region of Italy, and that was where we had the absolute best Italian food we’ve ever eaten. I would equate some of the similar complexities in taste/experience to the food I had there - just amazing!

My wife had tried it first and loved it so much that we had gone a week later with another couple and Wow she was right, the chef knows what he is doing in the kitchen. Never had homemade Gnocci as good as what we had. Chicken Marsala which is one of my dishes I prepare at home, I need to up my game now after trying theres. Tiramisu awesome and the Service was great and a great culinary experience. 7 stars

Great food and atmosphere. We went for my son's birthday dinner. The bruschetta, particularly the mushroom one is really tasty with a nice balance of spice and a bit of salt. I had the branzino, it was crispy skin fried, but not overdone. The white wine sauce a very good addition. Portion size was good, and not too small or big. Overall great value, great experience.

Pre-covid, always enjoyed the ambiance, service and the food quality at Buca di Bacco. The dishes are always flavourful, fresh, perfect. During covid, love it more. Though we deeply miss the in person hospitality of Bucca, take out does not disappoint. Tonight we enjoyed a broad menu including the lasagna, bruschetta, burrata appetizer - each dish was utterly delish. Treat yourself to dinner, it is definitely worth it. Upon arrival 15 minutes late, (which we called ahead to let them know and were told no problem) a female who was anything but welcoming showed us to our table and said you have an hour and a half at this table. We were very apologetic about being late, but there was an issue on the highway. Of course we realize that the table must turn over in a reasonable time. Our male server was effective. My husband did not enjoy his chicken marsala, it was sweet with a maple after taste. My branzino was suppose to have a lemon butter wine sauce, but there wasn't any sauce, our server did bring me a side container when I inquired. The pasta, Rigatoni Vodka was good, the sauce was wonderful, but some noodles were too al dente. I probably wouldn't make the hour drive to dine there again.

New location off the strip in downtown Oakville. I have always wanted to try this restaurant due to positive reviews. Ambiance is ok, not sure why rock music is playing in a nice Italian place so throws off ambiance of having a nice family meal. Service was good. Food needs work. All the food needed salt which I never need to add in restaurants. Calamari was ok, good sauce. Spaghetti with meat sauce was solid. Risotto was the worst I have had, not cooked or seasoned properly. Disappointing, won’t be returning.

Had a Fantastic Lunch Indoors , Italian Pasta + fried zucchini flowers + the best Tiramisu ever. Let me tell you , not cheap but worthy. $$$. Only think I didnt like was the wine , Chianti wasnt the right choice.

So disappointed in my experience, I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Initially they were doing a great job, the wait staff was very attentive, the bruschetta and the salad was amazing. Then I ordered the rigatoni, it was poor. It was not fresh pasta, the sausage was scarce, and the sauce had no depth. Tasted like something out of a jar. My company ordered the lasagna which was they said they would never order again, and the risotto which was not up usual standards. Potentially the biggest problem was how slow the service became. We waited for close to 40 minutes after our appetizers for our main course. Plus it is very expensive for what you’re actually getting. I would not return, and I would not recommend this place, there are too many amazing restaurants in this area to spend your money here.

Tonight I just ordered with Uber about, $130 worth of food for my family tonight. The portions were extremely small!! The food arrived very cold & our pizza looked like there was only 4 pieces of arugula and not very cooked!! The lasagna had chunks of beef in it and just two layers of the actual lasagna. Extremely disappointed, the pictures looked much better. I will never order from here again.

Best Father's Day meal ever. My son treated, which didn't hurt :) Terrific food and good portions, at reasonable prices for Oakville, the type of restaurant, and the year 2019. Why would you go to the Olive Garden for not much less??? Adam gave terrific service with a few entertaining anecdotes. We'll be back.

We ordered take out for a birthday and it was delicious. I had to pick up the order with my 4 year old and the owner gave my little boy a little Nutella jar. It made his day. These sweet little gestures are what raise the customer experience to the next level. We hope to visit again soon.
