When in Halifax direct your Uber ride to 5184 Morris for a culinary treat that is out of this region! It’s simply the best fine dining anywhere. The service is impeccable, the portions are civilized, the wait staff is professional, the ambiance is perfect and the prices more than reasonable. If it’s a memorable dinner you’re after, then this is the proper place.

Nice location. Staff was polite and competent. Intimate setting. Good selection of wine and beer. The appetizers were good but a little on the pricey side for the plate we received. Mains were creative and well put together. The tuna was cooked to perfection but the seasoning was off (to my taste). It was good but not extra ordinary. The duck was advertised as medium rare but was more on the rare side, which is sub optimal in my opinion. Desert was good, but again nothing out of the ordinary. Overall good dining experience, its just simply not quite there yet. (2 Adult, 1 app 2 mains 2 desert 2 drinks 1 tea .140$)

Place was perfectly balanced between a wonderful dining experience and amazing food. I can explain to you how much the scallops are to die for. This place is a must try. The mains were amazing and lamb 3 ways is a must try. This is best fine dining experience in Halifax.

This place is ranked #1 and, in our opinion deserves it. We were staying at the Halliburton so it was super convenient. We reserved well ahead (it has a very limited number of tables). After a review of the menu we found we were most interested in the appetizers so we ordered two each: goat cheese salad, crab cake and scallops (x2). They were all excellent, especially the scallops which come from the local waters. Our servers were especially interesting because they took the time to explain the recipe for each dish. In addition we had 2 gins and 2 glasses of wine. Total bill with tip was CAD 125.

Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!

Excellent dining experience starting from the moment you set foot in the door. Staff is professional and very skilled. We had salmon and a strip loin cooked to perfection. And I mean perfect. If you’re looking for that special date or occasion go here, don’t go to the Keg, Press Gang or Bicycle thief. Go here, trust me, the bill will be the same but you’re getting a Michelin grade experience.

My husband took me for my birthday and we both agreed it was one of the top five places we have ever eaten. Chef is very creative with every dish and you should try something you have never eaten before ...you will not be disappointed. The servers were attentive but left you time to relax. A very memorable night and we hope to return again some day.
