I have been to Japanese reataurant so many in the world. This is the worst of Japanese restaurant I have been. Convenience store in Japan is better than this restaurant. If you dont have a choice to eat some Japanese food in Yellowknife, it's better to give up eatting them.

Pleasantly surprised that there is sushi in Yellowknife. Service was quick and friendly. Considering where we are, I can only assume prices are reasonable. I had an Arctic char platter with 3 nigiris, 3 pc roles, and 6 maki pieces for $20. I wish they would be a little more generous with the portions, but in the context of where we are, it's fair.

Many foods have their own culture and grow in each land, but this sushi is almost the same as Japan. The amount is too small for the price of the land, so I think the Japanese feel quite expensive. I paid for it with a scroll and 1 nigiri (it's still 1500 yen!), But I thought that the locals were so happy that they ordered Morimori. (Original) せっかくなので話の種に、と入店してみました。 店員さんは日本人もおり、日本語だけでも問題無さそうです。アトランティックサーモンの巻き寿司をいただきました。 食べ物は独自の文化を持ち各土地で成長を遂げていく物が多いですが、こちらのお寿司はほぼ日本と変わらないです。 土地柄か、値段の割には量が少なすぎるので、日本人にはかなり割高に感じると思います。 私は巻物と握り1貫(それでも1500円です！)でお会計させてもらいましたが、現地の人はもりもり注文していてすごいなと思いました。

This was my go-to for sushi in YK for a long time. As of late (the last year or so), quality has suffered, as has service. All tempura items are now done in advance so they are cold and soggy when served. The crab in the California rolls is half the portion it used to be. Rolls are loose and falling apart. Tipping makes no difference. The price is less than competition but you can’t even begin to compare quality. I now prefer grocery store sushi to this place. Sad.

(Translated) There were no customers when we entered as it was just after the store opened, but soon the store was full and take-out customers were coming one after another, and we were waiting for seats when we left. The sign says "take out", but the store was quite large and there were lots of tables. The clerks are all Japanese and can order in Japanese. When I went, the customers were mostly local. I had Arctic char charcoal sushi, which was written as delicious in the reviews. It was lighter and more delicious than salmon. (Original) 開店直後だったので入った時はお客さんはいませんでしたが、すぐに店内はいっぱい＆テイクアウトのお客さんも続々とやってきて、出ていく頃には席待ちの状態になっていました。 看板にはテイクアウトと書かれていますが、店内は結構広く、テーブルもいっぱいありました。 店員さんはみんな日本人で日本語でオーダーできます。私が行った時はお客さんは現地の方がほとんどでした。 クチコミでおいしいと書かれていた、北極イワナのお寿司をいただきました。サーモンよりあっさりした感じでおいしかったです。

Sushi North makes a great assortment of authentic Japanese items. Today I enjoyed the Saturday special of Okonomiyaki and it was delicious. Definitely recommend whenever you want something different for lunch.

Incredible good sushi in so up north! This place is so similar to sushi places I visited in Japan. They don't have so many kinds of sushi and everything is simple, but everything is so good and carefully made. I won't say their portion is great.. but quality of quantity!
