Just had the worst experience I have ever had at a Restaurant. The person whom I would assume is the Manager really needs to take a management course. Waiting for almost 2 hours only to be refused service based on unfounded allegations related to Covid 19. Never again will I set foot in this place nor will I recommend it to anyone traveling here.

Didn't expect to find a craft brewer in YK and was very pleasantly surprised. Staff are hardworking and engaging despite how busy and popular this spot is. The brews are varied and delicious. I particularly liked the Pine IPA. Food is equally as good although portions could be a LITTLE bit larger... but overall a laid back and scrumptious experience.

A definitely must. YUM! A friendly, efficient spot with great atmosphere and rugged decor, very much like Yellowknife. I had their Daily Soup with my beef burger, and the subtle peanut butter spread was a very pleasant surprise, if not unusual. The menu is pretty vast, so it’s unfortunate I won’t be able to try their other offerings during my short visit to YK. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive, making sure we had our coffees filled. She even helped us call a taxi. Would love to be back again!

My sister and I visited twice on our five day vacation. We liked the service and the beer choices. The servers were attentive and the atmosphere was lively. We planned our visits outside regular meal times due to the crowded parking lot. Prices are not cheap for the food or dessert but it is very delicious.

Had the Shake Burger and soup, which were excellent. Only problems, we arrived at 2pm. We're told kitchen was switching over to the main menu (great, that's what we came for) and the switch would take 20-30 min. Food took an hour, nice atmosphere, and good beer, but misleading. Also, we came for the fish, but after ordering our beer we found out that they don't serve the main entrees till 5. Would still recommend NWT, beers are very good, service was great.

Great beer. We stopped in to see the only brewery we could find in the Nortwest Territory. The beer was great. We wish we could have gotten just 4 or 8oz beers so we could taste 2 different beers. Always busy which can be kind of annoying, but a true sign that this is probably by far one of the best places to eat I'm town! Could use a much bigger location though and I'm sure it would.be just as full. The Shack burger is the best, my wife loves the wings, and the different beers are nice when we are in the mood for a pint. I love Yellowknife even at its worst. This place is Yellowknife at its best. Good service, great food wonderful experience. Having traveled up here lots over the past decade food and beer were never at the forefront. Things have changed. Tomato soup was awesome, fried chicken burger kept up as well and I am huge fan of coffee milk stout and theirs didn't disappoint. Thick creamy and tons of coffee and putting it on nitro was the perfect choice. Was my wife's first dinner in Yellowknife and a perfect combo of northern charm and big city quality .

Even though I only gave one star, the food and atmosphere are actually great (4-5 stars for sure!) and it is a favourite spot for after-work drinks and food in town. However, IMO, there is something off with the beer. Admittedly I do not know what in the beer making-process has gone wrong, and I wonder if the owners themselves have any concerns. In any event, I can no longer drink the beer as it has such a terrible effect the next day, even if I have consumed only one or two pints. I also have noticed that it tastes different one day to the next (even with the same beer) and it sometimes gives off unusual smells or after tastes. It seems like a chemistry issue... I may be wrong about this but perhaps the beer-makers would benefit from consulting with a brew master, etc.? I am told that the people making the beer there are self-taught which, in this case, seems to make us part of the experiment. I mean no disrespect - and otherwise like the place a lot - but it seems like more could be done to improve the beer. Here's hoping to the improvement of local craft beers in Yellowknife.

The Bug Repellent IPA is my favourite and the Portobello burger is delicious. Unfortunately, the growler station is not open on Friday and they don't brew stouts (or I never had the chance to taste it...). They also offer a good brunch. A great place in Yellowknife.

Two of us went here for dinner on a Monday night and the restaurant was absolutely packed. That old saying to go where the locals go definitely paid off here. The service was good, the food was good, the beer was good. We both got the burgers, which at $10 for the Monday special would have been a steal at twice the price. The burgers were clearly handmade, with generous toppings and a delicious bun. The beer was good. It didn't blow me away, but definitely respectable, and could absolutely hold its own against many of the Toronto craft breweries. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Great atmosphere. Everything tasted great. The place was packed, but we got our food quite fast. It was a good surprise to find the South African inspired Cape Malay curry in a bread bowl on the menu. I highly recommend it, it's really special and the coconut chutney pairs well with the lamb and chickpea curry. The wait staff was nice if somewhat overworked due to lots of Friday night guests.

Great atmosphere and fun place. Beer is very good. Service was okay. I bought a souvenir glass and the waitress took a 75 cent tip claiming she didn’t have the correct change. I should have received $13 in change, she gave me $12.25 and said that’s all you get. I think it’s wrong to force a tip on a souvenir item. I am certain she could have found more change elsewhere. If we hadn’t tipped 18% on our order already it wouldn’t be as big an insult.

Every beer is on point. Service is friendly and the place is clean and well cared for. Try the Turbo Wit, or the Bug Repellent IPA. Fletcher, the brew master, is also friendly and community minded that he sells us local brewers bags of grain at a very reasonable rate considering we are way up North! They supply our community way up North with Beer that beats anything down south!

Best brewery in Yellowknife. Unfortunately only family friendly on Saturday. Good selection of brews and some of them are truly original flavours. Service is excellent and timely. Seating limited by spacing restrictions and waiting in line outside can be frustrating in inclement weather. Dress for delays! Bring your appetite and prepare for a flavorful meal, no disappointment in this respect.

Though usually quite busy, this is a great place for locals and tourists to experience some northern charm. The decor is rustic, but classy with dark picnic tables and a mantle with mounted caribou antlers behind the bar. The beer has improved a lot over the last year, and they always seem to have a seasonal surprise. Staff is friendly, service is pretty good, beer is cold and the food is delicious. TL;DR: Good place. Had the pleasure of visiting this hip spot while in Yellowknife and it was so worth the wait. They were super busy, yet completely engaged and welcoming. The food was delicious and unique, we all ordered extra meals to go! My friend raved about the chicken burger and I completely enjoyed the tofu tacos. I highly recommend checking this place out while in town, you won’t regret it!

The food was great! I ordered a steak (rare) that was perfect! The side was strange to me but good. I think it was oats with beer and molasses reduction with roasted veggies on top. I had no problem finishing it, it was tasty! The bartenders and wait staff are the real wonder to watch, easily floating into conversation between childhood friends, regulars, new to town folks and vacationers. Top notch service all around, prompt, efficient and friendly. Definitely my spot from now on in Yellowknife

I just drove by my self in yellowknife of the one steet away from down town to knowless narrow way, suddenly I can see the cozy and cute restaurant like a beer craft something like that. So I went to go that restaurant directly. Then, there are many peoples crowded and interior is so cozy and awsome like a localy cabin so. It has several ale beer, tastes good especially chocolate flavor, and deep dark beer like a stout black. And I order to taco-things like a wrap burger, its delicious! And bartander services really good! :) He is a kind of indiana atmophere something like that. So beauty on my memories :) Thank alot of all

I came up to Yellowknife for work, and I was concerned about vegan/vegetarian restaurant options. I found The Woodyard / NWT Brewing co and almost came here every night. Very impressed with the food and beer options. Service was always top notch, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend stopping in for food and drinks.

If you don't got "the look" you're not gonna be treated well As previous reviews have mentioned, if you or accompanying parties are not bleach white, you will be treated with disdain, or as a waste of time. I suggest take your money to Bullocks or Black Knight Pub! Money much better spent!

Food was excellent and lots of beers on tap. Service was very friendly, however a little on the relaxed/slow side (which we didn’t notice or mind much as we were not in a rush). They have great merchandise available with many options, however availability of colours and sizes was limited.

Even though I am truly saddened by their removing the portobello (mushroom) burger, I will still give 5-stars as it is one of if not the best places to eat (potato and smoked fish salad, espresso rub steak ... YUM), drink (also makes the best whiskey sour!) and socialize in YK ! The staff are friendly, and genuinely seem interested in discussing the food, and the beer, as well are not offended when asked where (else) they'd eat. AND they have cool merchandise which is a hit back home! I look forward to the day they begin selling their line of beers @ my local booze peddler!

Just had the worst experience I have ever had at a Restaurant. The person whom I would assume is the Manager really needs to take a management course. Waiting for almost 2 hours only to be refused service based on unfounded allegations related to Covid 19. Never again will I set foot in this place nor will I recommend it to anyone traveling here.

Great vibe, cool place to hang out. Had the shack burger, possibly the worst bar burger I've ever had in my life. The bottom of the bun is soggy, the beef is overcooked and bland, the pickle is nothing but salt, the burger lacks flavor. Great fries though, hot and crispy.

Friday February 22nd around 6pm we went to visit this spot, unfortunately we couldn’t have the whole experience because we were literally kicked out by a manager with a terrible attitude that poorly handle a sitting assignment situation made by his host lying in our face. I don’t know what was his problem that day but we felted not welcomed and we left. Thank you for your response, but nothing change the fact the way the manager treated/asked us to moved once we were located on the table assigned for a supposed rearrangement of tables. Yes, we waited in another high table of another section, but for the manager to call us back to be seated on the original table that he promised to us. We didn’t order anything and we kept saying to everyone that we were waiting our table. It looks like we were discriminated from that section just for being Asian, American or Latin or for wearing customary winter clothes that most of the people visiting the city is wearing, who knows what crossed this manager head. I usually don’t do reviews of places, but this was a really a sad experience and I need to stand for myself. This was the only negative highlight of my trip to the NWT and the worst treatment I have ever received in Canada.

The food was awful and the waitress didn't care. Had the veggie trio. It was unpleasant. The wasabi chickpeas were bitter and burnt. The buffalo cauliflower was just roasted cauliflower with some bbq sauce smeared on it (i think it was the sauce from the tofu korean sandwich). The brussel sprouts were greasy but okay, but it was maybe two brussel sprouts shredded up. The waitress did not care when our table complained about the chickpeas. She acted like we were wrong and didn't know what wasabi was. Last time I was there, my friend had the beet salad and it was drowning in dressing. She asked the waitress to add more greens to make it edible and that waitress also acted like my friend didn't know what she was talking about. They didn't offer to fix the food in either case and didn't fix it on request. Their motto must be "the customer is always wrong". Their chef must be missing taste buds.

What a great brewpub! First, their IPA was delicious, with heavy citrus aromas. Second, the fried chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of coleslaw, sauce and jalapeños. This, plus the very personable service, gives NWT an easy 5 stars. Would go back anytime!

Great vibe, great food, great drinks, they're really nailing it. We ordered the chicken wings with cinnamon thyme honey glaze, perfectly crispy and the spices were just right, an unexpected new favorite. The usual is the shack burger with peanut butter and cheese, a must for any burger fan. Really you can't go wrong with this small but fun menu.

My favorite stop in Yellowknife. Fantastic craft beer on tap with flights available. The food menu is small but everything on it is so good. I loved the flat iron steak. The wings are to dielectric for! They are Marinated overnight in buttermilk. Omg!! Portions are large. You will leave full.

The staff did not even know who was waiting first and I had to take a sunset from the pilot monument. I took a sunset and went back to the pub! The locals are more popular than tourists and the staff was very friendly! I had a steak of fish and steak, which I was worried about, and I ate steak of staff recommendation. Liver, roast, spice, and meat quality were all suitable and delicious! IPA Local beer has a frequency of 7 degrees, so it is stronger than regular beer. I ordered a local whiskey as a finish, but there was no incense or flavor. (Original) Bullock's Bistro에 예약전화 했지만 연결이 안되서 한시간 넘게 기다리다 차례도 안오고 새치기해도 직원들은 누가 먼저 기다리고 있었는지도 모르고 그냥 파일럿 모뉴먼트에서 일몰이나 찍어야 겠어서 일몰찍고 돌아가는길에 맥주한잔 생각나서 들른 펍! 관광객보단 현지인들이 많이 찾는 곳이며 직원들은 매우 친절했다! 피쉬와 스테이크중 고민하다 직원추천의 스테이크를 먹었는데 간, 굽기, 양념, 고기 질 모두 적당하게 어우러져 맛있었다! IPA로컬맥주는 도수가7도여서 일반 맥주보단 강하지잔 에일스타일에 거부감 없는 과일향이 있어 맛있었다! 마무리로 로컬 위스키를 주문했으나 향이나 맛의 특별함은 없었다.

Lovely cosy spot down the end of town with some of the best food we have had Canada! The beers are good and they have a great selection of them. If you are into craft brewing then definitely check this place out. They also do Growlers till 10pm. It can get quite busy but the staff are quick and super friendly. The food is definitely the highlight there so try and get through a few things on the menu if you are there for a bit. My sister says her only complaint is that the manager/bartender looked too much like a hot lumberjack and it was distracting.
