The lamb kebab was undercooked and felt like food court food for 3x the price. On the other hand the lamb shank was very good...service was decent. 3 stars would have been four if the "meal" came with a Greek salad...which it does just about everywhere else.

Sever was great..food not so much..babaganush tasted sweet..like white sugar..salad dressing oregano and tasted like sugar..lentil soup tasted like they never rinsed the lentils after soaking..and yes hints of white sugar..chicken skewer was good and the pita..won't be going back

My sister threw my nephews baptism dinner here. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was delicious. I had the chicken souvlaki dinner with a glass or two of wine. Ha. The place has been renovated very nicely. The bathrooms are keept clean and are modern looking. Overall, i enjoyed my experience here. Will return.

Went to Krystos for the first time & absolutely LOVED it!! The chicken souvlaki dinner was delicious....the chicken tasted great, rice & potatoes were very tasty & the salad was fresh with the most delicious dressing. Loved the decor of the restaurant, especially the pictures of Santorini. Service was great & waitresses were very friendly. Been going here for years. It's by far my favourite Greek restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable as well, definitely comparable. Their Krystos Spartan Salad is one of the best salads I've ever had. Add chicken souvlaki to it and its unparalleled. Their dips are fantastic, the hummus especially and their baklava is amazing. We went in to celebrate our engagement and they treated us like family. Overall, love this place!

I went to krystos for the first time. I have been to so many greek restaurants and i usually order the same. Grilled kalamari and taramosalata. The dip was good since it wasnt made there. The Kalamari was 16 dollars for 3 little tiny pieces of overly SALTED squid. Honestly 3 hours later i finished 2 liters of water and my stomach in knots. As i let my server know the situation, all she did was say sorry. Came back after 10 minutes of waiting to say sorry we tool 15 percent off which was 3 dollars lol. In the end i didnt care about that. Being in the industry and being a manager of a big corporate chain, we were taught that managers need to come to the table and talk to their guests. The whole experience was horibble. To bad for the servers they do not know any better. Owners and management need to be way more trained on how to deal with guests. In the end horrible experience and that is to bad.

This place was great. Came for dinner. Wasn't too busy on a Friday night but probably because it was snowing ridiculously that night. The atmosphere was nice, warm and inviting. Food portions were big and tasted amazing. Service was excellent as well. Would definitely come back!

We were there for Summerlicious lunch a few days ago. $18 gets you an appetizer, entree and dessert. We all had fried calamari to start, followed by chicken, salmon and beef, and we tried all three desserts on offer. The meats and fish were tender and very flavorful and the sides of lemon potatoes and rice great as always. All desserts were delicious, but the winner with us was the chocolate cheesecake - it was excellent! Summerlicious is on until July 24. Don't miss it - it's well worth it.

Went to Krystos for a birthday. The beef souvlaki was over cooked, the pork souvlaki tasted like it was boiled and reheated in the microwave. I was assuming that Greek souvlaki would have been grilled at some point in the cooking process, but I guess not. Should have stuck with Astoria. Wont be going back

I went to this place with my girlfriend and it honestly let us down. We ordered calamari which was 4 super salty small pieces for $16! The main entre was a small portion of food which tasted like something from the frozen section of a supermarket that they just popped into a microwave for an insanely expensive price. Not happy at all.

As a girl who LOVES her Greek food, I had never found a good Greek place that had good Greek salad - till I came here. This place has great service, and great food. Whatever dressing they use for their salad is honestly the best dressing I've ever tasted. I usually order the Greek salad over anything else. However, we've ordered the spanakopita as an appetizer and it is SO good. They also have cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, and their baklava is amazing as well. Vegetarian options are available, which is really great. I sincerely just love this place, and it's usually our go-to for any birthdays, family gatherings, etc. I would definitely recommend this place. ❤️

Food was great & the atmosphere was lively - we had our work Christmas party here. We discarded of quite a bit of food only for the waitress to tell us later on that we could have taken the food home with us. None of us had been told that prior to getting our food so when we got full, we assumed they'd just toss the remainder out. I'm not a big fan of wasting anything.

We took the moussaka, salad and pakhlava. The salad was probably as 3rd day of freshness and it was directed to the garbage bin right away. The paklava is the worse that we tested in Toronto in various places. Skip this restaurant!

We went there for lunch/ early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Only a couple of guests inside. We waited about 20 minutes and we were never aproached to be served so we left. Very dissapointing. We dined there before and the food is great but the service not so great. Very surprising for a restaurant that is never busy! Judging by how it is run i am surprised the place is still operating.

Service was very nice. The flavour of the gyro meat was excellent. The only problem was that the entire wrap was cold. It had marks like it was toasted but the bread was cold as well as the meat. Fries were over done as well. Might try again hoping for warm food.

Chicken souvlaki is Amazing! You can tell its fresh and its so flavorful. We order from here alot as it's definitely the best greek place around. And their portions are very generous. Oh and the hummus is so delicious too. I wish i could buy it by the tub full !

We have been at this place a few times. The food was always terrific. With having become popular in the neighborhood the service has slowed down a bit. The noise level on Sunday at supper time was bothersome. Very little that management can do about that without losing clients with very young kids. We will have to return at a time when toddlers are not likely to be around.

I have been here many times. Each time the service is great, the food is tasty and are good portions. It has a modern restaurant vibe. It is across the street from Yorkdale and has lots of parking. Ordered two entrees, the Gyro Salad and the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner. You won't be disappointed.

The food is always good but their delivery service leaves a lot to be desired. Not the first time this has happened. They have an auto reply which leads one to believe they got the order. Guess what they didn't, after waiting until 15 minutes after the latest delivery time they quoted we called only to be told there was a computer glitch. If there was a computer glitch why did it auto reply. They did apologize and are sending a free dessert though.

This was our first time coming here and we had the summerlicious dinner. We chose fried calamari, Greek fries, and chicken souvlaki which came with potatoes and rice. I liked the calamari but I would have liked it more if it were lightly battered. The Greek fries were great, they we're topped with feta, olives, tomatoes, and onions. The chicken souvlaki was nicely seasoned and grilled, and the rice and potatoes it came with were also nicely seasoned. The tzaziki the food came with was ok, it had flavour but seemed to be more watery and not as thick as the traditional tzaziki, I'm not sure if they mixed it with something or not. Overall very happy with the food here and we would go back.

My family and I love this place! Their greek salad dressing has to be the best I have ever tasted. We even purchase the dressing by the bottle here its really an amazing product. Our go to dish is the spartan chicken salad, we take all our clients here or in these days order take out for them. Support this local business, their food portions and quality are excellent.

I think the restaurant is underrated, because the food is excellent, if you like the Greek style Mediterranean cuisine. Staff is friendly, serving is fast. We've been there a few times typically twice a year for four years now and always good! Simply cannot take points away from this restaurant. Very highly recommended.

Very nice seating. Friendly service. I only got appetizers. The babaganoush was fantastic, the hummus was excellent, home made, garlicky but too salty for my taste. The spinach and asiago was good. My husband and I dropped our daughter off at Bravo musical academy on Samor and decided to pop in for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of the food. Better than a lot of the restaurants in Greektown close to where we live.

Many things when wrong. I And I guess this is not an isolated issue. 1. Some door trim at the men wash room lack of maintenance cut my finger. 2. Food is average, nothing special. 3. They dint carry the drinks I like on the bar this is very personal taste. 4. My friend made a reservation for several person and at the end 3 didn't showed up and the reservations feed wasn't reimburse or add to the bill. They keep it as tip. 5. They inforced a mandatory tip on every bill even do they don't deserve such a thing. I will recommend you to look for some other place before you have a surprise.

Dinner with the wife on Valentine's. Didn't make a reservation. Waited less than 5 mins. Restaurant was full. Service was a bit slow due to being the busiest I have ever seen. Server was perfect, she was friendly and always nearby. The salad was perfect, beef souvlaki was better than I remember, potatoes & rice had plenty of flavour. Definitely the best meal I have had at Krystos . Thank you Krystos for a memorable Valentine's dinner.

Oh wow where do we start... First time I ate at this location was 2 weeks ago, where I explained to the server I could not eat meat, dairy or eggs, due to food intolerances, so I was excited when he expained all the vegan options and I saw the menu had also labeled meals with a V for vegetarian. The server explained if we removed feta it would be vegan. We also ordered a dip trio where 2 dips fell within my dietary restrictions again explained to us by the server. Going home after that meal my stomach was in excruciating pain for hours to the point I was almost in tears but I naively thought it might've been because I ate too much. Fast forward to today where I order the same thing and this server says that the rice and potatos are made with chicken stock despite being labeled vegetarian and one of the dips is made with a mayonnaise base (eggs) this instantly explained what happened last time. So I switched my dinner instead to a falafel salad which was the most sour, disappointing salad ive ever had. I could NOT eat the salad and instead shook dressing off the falafel and only ate those (wonderful way to waste money). My mom ordered lamb shank and took 2 bites noting it tasted old. Her meal was suppose to come with potatos but instead came with bottom of the pan crispy vegetable skins. I admit they were by far the saddest side of veggies I've ever seen. When the meal was finished and we had paid up my mom mentioned to the server that the lamb was sour, cold and tasted old and she said "well it was made YESTERDAY so it should be fine" (great thing to be proud of when its the end of the next day am I right?) If you've gotten this far into reading this review, charrish yourself enough to do yourself a favour and support another business. This place will either poison you if you have dietary restrictions with zero regard OR proudly serve you old food.

I just paid $30 for a salad and a lamb skewer for take out lunch, literally, and took 20+ min to get it ready (and was promised an "expedited service", so I only wonder what the "normal speed" service would have been). A steak dinner across the street is the same price. Food isn't bad, but the value is just... ridiculously missing. I justify paying this for the "learning experience"... I learned... Never again.

Came here during Summerlicious, overall was a pretty good experience. Food was excellent, though I'm not particularly a fan of watermelon and cheese. The major downside was the repairs going on at the time, the air conditioning must have been broken because it was very humid inside the restaurant with the doors open. This must have been absolutely brutal during the mid to late afternoon when the restaurant would be full of customers and the rush hour traffic was at its peak. In addition, there was a hole in the ceiling on the bathroom from a leak and water along the walls, not exactly appealing. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner than later.

Some say it could be the best Greek food in town and I would rate 5 stars if not for 2 things. 1. Waiting staff can be terrible depending on who you get. It seems they hire based on nationality or maybe a friend/family member who is not qualified for the job. 2. The menu has errors in it and hasn't been updated to reflect it. You'll only find out when you get your food and it's not as described.

I really like their food. It’s a good quality food with traditional Greek style. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the girls who work on the pick up side. I’ve been there numerous times to pick up my food that ordered from Uber Eats/Ritual and every time I go there these two girls treat me with no respect. I ask questions and they ignore me. Also, it says ready to pick up on the app but when I ask they say it’s not ready yet and make me wait long time. I don’t know what’s up with them but it’s not fair to treat customers like this.

First time customer , was actually very excited as I love Greek food. Ordered chicken souvlaki ....the worst thing I ever ate the rice smells like spoiled and sticky potatoes are not fresh , chicken dry and burned, garlic shrimp also could be much better , seafood pasta was Ok nothing special pretty much small portion with not too much seafood. I had told the host and all she did was move our seat not even offering us a free meal. It was also cold as hell in there and so many fruit flies flying around. We ended up here because Red Lobster had more than an hour wait. An amazing experience. Wait staff was excellent. We were seated in less than 5 minutes. Food was great. Cooked exactly as requested. In fact, there was so much food we ended up taking some home for a midnight snack ;) Highly recommended. Forget Red Lobster. This place has better food and I spent half what I would have at Red Lobster!

We ordered food through Uber, however after the food was delivered we noticed we were missing two meals. I called the store and they genuinely apologized for the mistake. The store manager personally delivered the food to my house, all before my dinner guests arrived. Quite frankly I was surprised. The food tasted delicious and everyone was happy. I had the chicken souvlaki wrap and bf had the chicken souvlaki meal. We both enjoyed our meals. I hadnt had a wrap in a long time because when I've had them in the past (not from this restaurant) they were dry. This wrap was delicious! Just perfect! Bf really enjoyed his meal. He usually doesnt like rice but he liked the rice and ate everything on his plate. We will definitely go again.

Took my gf on a date there. After we order our food, 30 minutes later the manager comes by to ask if we arw rwady to order. Then when asking him about the wait he offered me to leave if i dont want to wait for fresh food. 30 minute wait for a soup and then getting kicked out with attitude. This place is bad. Had our office holiday party at Krystos. Exceeded expectations!! Everything from the planning with Proso in advance, to the very friendly and attentive staff, and of course, the food..... Excellent. Here's a restaurant that really cares about the impression they leave with you. The appetizers were plentiful and the variety and quality of the shish kebabs was perfect. Not easy to coordinate a large party (we were over 50 people), but they did it. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy and delicious. We had the pick of chicken, beef, lamb, pork and shrimp. Nobody was disappointed and I was told by my staff over and over that this place was better than any we've been to for our holiday party in the past. Very roomy the vibe was just right. It's right in my neighborhood and I'd never been until last night. It's now going to be on my select list of go-to's for dinner, business lunches and take-out. Thank you to Proso and her staff. EE

Decor was nice and indeed modern. Our server was decent. However it took the kitchen over 30 minutes to get out two wraps with maybe 3 other tables in the whole place. My girlfriends fish wrap was frozen fish not quality at all. When I went to eat my gyros most of the meat was rock hard. The server offered to have another made but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes .... she ended up taking the item off the bill. Regardless I can say we wont be returning. The restaurant needs better kitchen staff and ingredients.

One the best places to eat. The food is so fresh - you can taste the difference. They do not precook or use frozen food. They have fresh food coming in. The olive oil is flown in from sparta. Their salad dressing is their own unique creation and you can even buy it. The price is great and the so is the service. They even celebrate birthdays and small events - lots of parking and wheelchair accessible. Great neighborhood and the owners are usually in and are very kind and personable. Absolutely love the food - something for the family, or a work gathering or even a romantic date night. Krystos has it all!!!

Absolutely not worth the money. I had the chicken souvlaki plate. The meat was overcooked and tasteless, the potatoes also had no flavour. Can't really go wrong with a greek salad but it only had one hunk of cucumber and 2 pieces of tomato. The rice was the best part of the meal. So not impressed and will never go back.

Great family owned restaurant - large portions and really good food. The service was friendly and fast, almost like you're part of the family. The atmosphere is a bit generic but very nice. There were lots of large groups there, so I'd assume they are used to that. We were only 2. Lots of healthier options on the menu. The choice of dips is a must get - we had hummus, tzatziki, babaganoush, spicy feta dip, and eggplant dip - and I was almost full afterwards but it was worth it. Their pitas (which come with many dishes) are to die for! Would highly recommend if you want a healthier but hearty choice.

Very bad service so far. The servant never brought us the coffee we ordered half an hour ago saying the coffe maker sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. Suggestion chance the cofee maker. Thwre are only two tables at the restaurant and weve been waiting for the food more than 45 minutes.

My favourite place! It's just hard not to fall in love with the chicken salad: the chicken is always nicely seasoned and tender and the salad dressing is made in house and it so gooood that you want to drink it from a plate afterwards. And the OCTOPUS....Probably the best in TO! The staff is always friendly, wines are affordable and plus they play Greek music????

While the quality of food and portion size were what I would expect from a Greek restaurant, the customer service from the hostess at the front desk tonight did not come close. For future reference, treat all customers with the same respect, especially ones that are new to your establishment. Otherwise, you dont build up the respect for a repeat customer. So I'm sorry to say, that while I enjoyed the food, I will not be repeating my business here.

The Gyros is disgusting. It was clearly prepackaged and fried - and not from the spinning grill. The sign says "fast takeout". Not so. Count on waiting a while to be disappointed. They use Italian dressing on their salad - not greek. Overpriced for the quality.

Please clean the dining room! Everything was so dusty and grimy, even the pendant lights hanging over the dining tables were so dirty, made me lose my appetite. Food was mediocre, almost foodcourt quality. The salad tasted like it had bottled dressing and the feta wasn't crumbled as it should be, it was more shredded and really mild tasting, not even sure if it was feta cheese. Just overall a disappointing experience, I don't think I will be returning, so many other better choices...

Fantastic greek restaurant. Both times we've gone we've ordered dips with pitas. Any of the dips ordered were enjoyable. You can order extra pitas too. They have a matter with all dips for 20 I think. That could be a meal itself. The souvlaki is fresh and tasty. I've had it with both the meal and the salad. The star of the show is the Greek salad dressing. That stuff is fantastic. They also sell it bottled. Highly recommend this place for greek.

I always get takeout from here, haven’t had a chance to dine-in. The food is delicious. I love the chicken souvlaki. Their lemon potatoes are amazing (I’ve gotten extra before) and their dips are really yummy too.
