I like this location and I usually go there with friends. The burger is good and it comes with lots of fries and I love it. Last night I tried their apple pie with maple ice cream and it was delicious and loved it. Although I don’t like very sweet and next time I’ll ask them to give me the caramel sauce on the side. Our server was very nice and caring. His name was Amir. He did his best to make sure we are happy with our orders and it was impressive. The atmosphere is good and their chairs are comfy too. Recommend:)

I don’t normally give bad reviews but my experience from last time I visited was close to the worst If not the worst food experience and quality I’ve had in any restaurants. First off let me say that I’ve been to joeys on their many locations many times in the past and they have been fairly consistent with food quality and great services. People will/may take this review negatively and try to defend the great quality and experiences they’ve had with Joeys. As I said they’ve been fairly consistent in my past visits. But the last one was just terrible. Service wise (Eliza) was bang on amazing with her professionalism and attention. She did an amazing job.What I could not really take was the food we ordered. It had a rotten meat smell that you only get when a defrosted meat from the freezer had been sitting out for a couple of days. It had this spoiled stench when I bit into that chicken. It was appalling. I had stomachache soon as I got home. I hope that this review in some way better the food hygiene, storing and handling in the future so that no one would ever experience what I had experienced.

My first visit and first impression of the service wasn't a good one. Lighting was a bit too low for my liking as was difficult to read my menu or see my food. Starter was nice, however our waitress came with mains whilst my starter plate was still infront of me and couldn't find space as we were a big party group in a tight space. My food looked great but the fries were extremely salty and my steak was cold. Asked for my steak to be redone and was told to eat what's on my plate until they could do me a new steak, to which I waited another 30mins for fresh steak. Steak came out and was delicious with some additional sides. I couldn't eat it all as I had eaten what I could on my previous plate. I may visit again but in a smaller group.

I really liked this place but since the experience I had tonight... never coming back! I went with my friends and waited too long for our food. I was having my first bite that I noticed there was a LONG HAIR on the steak. I called the servers they took forever to come and see what’s wrong(their service was very very poor) they didn’t apologize or anything and took the food and said to wait another 30 minutes until it gets ready again. All of my friends finished their food and were uncomfortable that I wasn’t eating and I ended up eating after everyone! I went to the washroom and there wasn’t a single clean toilet(worst restaurant washroom experience). They didn’t check up on our table, they didn’t apologize, it caused everyone being uncomfortable and having a bad time. Honestly next time I would go to another nearby restaurant

Me and my wife came here around 10 pm in the evening for diner. Was getting late so we tried out this place. Got seated quickly and ordered our food. Great food, hoping portions would be bigger for the price. Would like to try the larger steak next time. Orders came out very quickly but this service is only good during the night 1hr before closing. I will surely try this place when its more busy to compare, but for now its a 4. Other issue was the waitress ask if we wanted refills but it appeared that she forgot about it. We kept quiet and just ask for our bill. Recommand this place for couples and groups.

The food here is amazing, I ordered the katsu chicken salad and it did not disappoint. Drinks however are a bit expensive, and they do not offer any pitchers of anything. Service was good, but instead of using debit machines they are using iPads for “contactless” payments- and you end up touching the iPad way more then you would a debit machine.

Overall a good restaurant to have a delicious meal. For the price, I would hope for a bit larger portion. It doesn't feel like good value for what you receive. The service was excellent. We were greeted immediately, the hostess sat us quickly at a table. It was a slower time, and no wait list. The atmosphere was great. I had the steak and crispy mashed potatoes. The steak was alright. I asked for Medium and it was more medium rare. The portion seemed tiny. The crispy mashed were amazing. Overall the food was good. My only complaint, if it's even a complaint is the price to portion. It seems like the prices go up, and the portions shrink. It's a great place for a nice upbeat atmosphere, but you are paying a premium for it.

I hate writing this review because I’ve dined many times at joey’s and have enjoyed their food. I’ve had two awful takeout experiences with them and will not be ordering takeout from them again. I ordered various dishes last week and the portions were extremely small, the food was cold (expected with delivery) and the patties in their sliders were burnt :(. I was really not expecting this from them and wished my experiences were more pleasant.

Make reservations if you want to eat here for lunch or dinner - it is a BUSY location. Food is delicious and staff is friendly. Curbside parking is sparse, but there is valet parking out front and a parking garage within the Shops at Don Mills complex, diagonal from the restaurant. Bathrooms are up a long flight of stairs.

I always have a great time when I visit Joey restaurant in Toronto. The food is good and the atmosphere is chill with a good vibe. The restaurant is very classy but not too expensive which is amazing. My favourite dish is salmon seared sushi. I wouldn’t recommend the burger but the other dishes are decent.

Went there on a Friday evening with a party of 5. Steps of service perfectly followed. Food was timed and tabled properly. Quality checks followed. Food is delicious. I tired the salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes. The crispy mashed potato was a nice touch . Veggies made perfectly. Would visit again for sure.

One of my favourite restaurants! Always a good choice and what i like about Joey is that the food is always consistent no matter which one you go to. First, the salad it was yummy then the steak was soooo tasty, and of course the dessert was great too! Yum yum ???? Staff were very friendly. Food is always delicious but some staff training is required. I know it is difficult getting staff right now! But, please do not take away plates until everyone is finished eating! A large pastry requires a dessert fork and a dessert spoon to eat it. It is not a cafeteria ( or cafeteria prices) so please don’t plop couple of sugar packs on the table…..and yes I realize this is a small complaint! Twice our server was told it was a birthday dinner……no candle, nothing! Not their usual action. They were extremely quiet last night and enough staff, but our waitress was indifferent.

The food is amazing and I would come back just for that, but the service here is simply outstanding. Our server was on top of everything, always checking on us, making sure we were okay and satisfied with our food. On top of that, I feel like the servers and hosts have a secret language, as they would all work together to make sure the clients were okay. Someone would refill our water, someone else would clear an empty chair so we would have more space, someone else would bring our food, etc... Again, the food is great, but the service is wonderful and something that not many restaurants have to that extent. Whoever is training these guys is amazing, they're always on top of everything, and I've been here numerous times and it is always the same. They always go out of their way to make sure you are perfectly satisfied and comfortable while enjoying your delicious food. Definitely recommended, and I'll keep coming back!

We celebrated a friends birthday on Sunday and the entire experience was amazing. From the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left your staff was friendly and accommodating. The food absolutely delicious and arrived to the table hot. Our server was what really made our experience exceptional, Charlotte was one of the nicest people I've ever met...great hire! The employees are super friendly. It's almost always full in peak hours, so if I'm going there i would reserve or go atleast an hour sooner. The parking is vast and free. It has to stories, and one patio. The patio is famous among customers Good for dates, casual business meetings and friends gathering

I've never had a bad experience in joeys. I went to this one with a large group of people and we had a fantastic night. Atmosphere was awesome. The food was excellent. Bbq salmon was incredible. Also having friendly patient and accommodating staff definitely made the experience so much better. I'm sure it isn't easy handling table of 22 people but they did a great job. Absolutely recommend this place if you in the area

Only 3 stars because lunch service was awfully slow and kinda mediocre for what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber (and price point). Positive - friendly staff and waitress suggested some additional toppings for the sliders which made them yummy.

An upscale casual restaurant with lots of space, style and ambience. A great menu with delicious food and good selection of wines. Sports a rooftop restaurant as well which was not functional when I was visiting. Over all a great place to meet friends and family. Most importantly professional staff!

I was actually disappointed this time around. We entered Joey's and there was already a guest at the counter. While we waited to be served, a couple of ladies walked in. When the guest was done, the other lady pushed ahead of us and started telling the staff how many people she had etc. There were three staff at the door, one went with the first guest. I tried to get the attention of the staff but either we didn't look rich enough or maybe the fact that we had a one year old on our hands didn't seem to render us the same amount of attention as the other ladies. When the staff did get to us, I was visibly upset, but there was no apology or anything for that encounter. They are lucky the wait staff upstairs were so pleasant that I didn't give this review 1 star.

First outing post covid so it was going to be fun no matter what. Ordered the Korean cauliflower, and sliders for starters. The cauliflower was ok, very lightly battered and the cauliflower was pretty raw but the sauce was nice. Sliders were good, as there are no kids meals so we gave our 2 year old that. I had the peppercorn steak it was average, but the crispy mashed potatoes were a nice surprise. The steak was 50$ so at that price it was disappointing. Other dishes on the table were the crushed herb salmon, veal Parm, and a poke bowl, they all seemed to enjoy them. Server was great as well. Would come back for drinks and apps only next time.

Joey Don Mills was one of our favourite Joey’s restaurants before pandemic, so coming to visit now in Phase 3 when patio is open, and you can dine in as well was a must! We chose a nice table at the patio and it was a pleasant experience to be outside in nice weather. Don’t sit next to the plants if you would like to avoid annoying wild bees. As far as food goes, it is what you would expect from Joey’s! We had one of my favourites - Yellowfin Tuna salad and it was great, with enough tuna and with great salad and just right amount of sauce. My friend said that Tuna Poke Bowl was exceptional. Sangria was a special of the day and that complimented our meal well. Keep it up Joey Don Mills!

Great bar and grill spot inside shops at Don Mills. They have a nice outdoor roof patio for dining in which I highly recommend. I have came here a few times for lunch and had no complaints about the food or the service. The few times I came before I had the California Chicken Sandwich and the seafood tacos which are delicious. This time I tried their classic 7oz steak with crispy mash and asparagus. The "crispy mash" is very creatively made! It is inside of like a wonton wrapper with sour cream and bacon! Everything was very wells seasoned and the steak cooked medium was very juicy and flavorful. For the prices on the menu, you are getting good quality food for it and the overall experience. Everything is wheelchair accessible accept the steps to go into the bar. Also this is a bit nit picky but I would appreciate more pasta options :)

One of the overall nicest Joeys locations. Great place to come for drinks and exceptional service. Awesome upstairs patio in the summer. Highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer or the chili chicken. The yellow fin tuna salad never disappoints as well.

It was my first time at this location. I came for my friends birthday dinner. The place is nice and i found the staff friendly as well. No complaints about the restaurant. I would recommend that if you do make reservations here, based on the time, please do come earlier because parking is a bit hard to find.

I rarely write restaurant reviews, but we encountered a waiter that needed to be recognized publicly. Hassan was the waiter, and he was incredible. He gave me an experience that made me want to return a million times. He was understanding and patient with all of my dietary requirements. He went above and beyond to ensure that my requirements were met. Come to this specific eatery if you ever visit Joey's. The property was immaculate, and you could see that everything had been well-managed.

Had an awesome lunch today. Service was great. Food and beverages were awesome. Highly recommend the Baja Fish Tacos and the Molten Chocolate Cake. The location was a little busy to start with, but gradually emptied out after lunch. You need to show proof of vaccination.

Love Joey's. Please bring back the lobster grilled cheese and shrimp flat bread! Happy to be back after the pandemic. The BBQ salmon bowl came with brown rice, some fresh veggies and a tasty dressing. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The fish tacos were better in the past, not sure if the recipe changed or it's just a new chef. Shrimp sushi cone was great. Great atmosphere, love the rooftop patio and location. The lady at the front was super friendly although our server was not.

I usually go to the Yorkdale location but today I decided to go to the Don Mills location. I wouldn’t usually write a a review, however I did not have the best experience here. The service in the front was absolutely horrible! We were seated but nobody came to take our order for about 20 minutes. Another waitress saw that our waitress was no where to be seen, then took our drink orders first. Our waitress finally shows up and throughout our meal she barely checked up on her tables. Our food was good but our waitress was more interested on talking to her co workers. There’s nothing wrong with small talk, but we barely saw her. We were going to get dessert but then she disappeared, and that definitely ruined our mood for dessert. Thankfully the other waitress was there to help us and get the bill so we could leave. For what we’re were paying I would’ve expected better service. The Yorkdale location is definitely the one I will be going to over this one. This was very unprofessional.

Two words: Happy Hour. Between 3-6 offers cheaper drinks and a variety of good eats. I've always thought Joey's menu is inspired by Asian flavors and it's the same here whether it's a selection of poke bowls, tandoori chicken on flatbread, or gyoza. They even have chopsticks on the table. The poke style bowls were good but the yam fries stole the show. Not easy to make them crispy but they managed to do so here and it matches well with the spicy mayo. We found everything to be tasty. Modern chic vibe to it with a few screens to watch the game albeit the screens are on the tinier side. Large windows surround this location bringing in lots of light. Good service. Good place for a quick drink or to just hang out over some good food. Also a nice rooftop patio!

Had lunch at joey don mills. They didn't have our reservation but we're able to accommodate us without issue. Waitress was very nice and came back throughout our meal to make sure we were happy. Food was presented nicely, portions were good and tasty. Shared a bunch of apps - would recommend the calamari, hummus and flat bread. Had the ribs and chicken. Ribs were tender but wasn't that fond of the sauce. Chicken was great. Mash potatoes too.

This was definitely the first place my girlfriend & I wanted to go to once patio's opened up, and we were not disappointed one bit, let's start with the food, which was amazing (like always); but it tasted extra special tonight for some reason, steak (seasoned perfectly, asparagus was pefectly cooked, crispy mashed potato's (extra crispy). Next, the service, as a former cook in the hospitality industry, I understand how hard it was for all of us during these times, and our server Deardest, he's the man! He was super friendly, he was there to greet us at the table promptly, he was attentive, and most importablty, he was being himself, I would want him as my server every time.The manager at this location should be proud to have someone like him on their staff!! ENJOY THAT TIP MY MAN, YOU DESERVE IT!!!

Went to Joey's today for lunch with my Husband and had a great meal and really great service. The cobb salad was wonderful, love the way the bacon, chicken, and egg were done to perfection and the presentation just great. They told me the limit per table was 4 when I was with my family and every other restaurants limit is a family of 5. They seemed more interested in what was on there phone to be able to provide any type of customer service. This really turned me off from this location, would not return.

We ordered the herb crushed salmon with the crispy mashed potato from Uber Eats, the packaging was neat. The food tasted as expected, and was made perfectly. The truffle brownies were complimentary and tasted decadent, they made well for the added touch to our meal. We'll be ordering again!

We ordered two chocolate cakes for to go and the waitress got the order and we paid. She wanted us to wait beside the side door so we were waiting. It was late night so not many people and just simple order of two chocolate cakes but it was taking forever. So we asked another server who was cleaning the patio and another guy came and asked our name and what we ordered. Then he came back with our food, and we asked about what was going on and it turned out the waitress who got our order didn’t tell them we were waiting outside and just left cause her shift was over. Seriously, they didn’t even put forks and stuff and we found it out later. We were so upset and and disappointed, we even tipped her ☹️ (The cakes were fine)

I’ve eaten at the various Joey’s thought the GTA for years now and they’re always consistent. I haven’t been to one in several months tho. Yesterday I ordered the Panang Curry Bowl & it’s quite smaller than it use to be (to me at least). It still tastes delicious, however had I not eaten prior to dinner, I would have been hungry after LOL. My sisters ribs were alright, not the best she’s had (she’s obsessed with ribs). My other sisters had the crispy tofu bowl which was extremely light. And my other sister had a steak but got the wrong one. She wanted the NY strip, a classic favourite but ended up getting the filet mignon. Joey’s changes their menu and items a little to frequently and I wish they’d leave old menu item the same. Other then that, it was great service and good atmosphere.

The apple pie dessert was a nice twist, it was more of an apple peacan tart but it worked great with the maple icecream. We came here for lunch and had to wait quite a while for a free table. The wait was absolutely worth it. The staff was amazing and very helpful, they helped us move tables and we felt very comfortable. It was happy hour so we got drinks, they were a little too sweet for our taste but overall delicious. My wife got the Cali club and I got the poke bowl. My bowl was amazing! My wife's burger had a bit too much sauce and the bottom bun fell apart. Overall a great experience!

It was good atmosphere, a bit loud though. Can hardly blame them as it's holiday time and restaurant is packed. Staff was great and very accommodating. We were a large group and our server handled everything very smoothly. A wonderful surprise was that they have half price wine bottles on Wednesday. That was such an amazing deal. Food was also superb. All in all, it was a 5star experience. Will go back again. Convenient valet service was also a great plus for a very cold evening.

I love this place. My wife and I go there ALL THE TIME. We’re there every other weekend and it’s always a great experience. They’re very consistent. The food is always top-notch, the service is always great and the portions are generous. It’s a little expensive, but totally worth it. You get more than you pay at this place. My favourites on the Menu: Sushi Cone, Lettuce Wrap, Baby Back Ribs with Crispy Mash Potato, and of course the burger.

He gave me an experience that made me want to return a million times. He was understanding and patient with all of my dietary requirements. The property was immaculate, and you could see that everything had been well-managed.

The food quality is just great! As the prices go up, the food portion size goes down. Not very attractive in that sense. The seating is tight for the party table adjacent to the bar, I could not get out of my seat without struggling much, and I am not a big person.

Great bar and grill spot inside shops at Don Mills. They have a nice outdoor roof patio for dining in which I highly recommend. I have came here a few times for lunch and had no complaints about the food or the service. The few times I came before I had the California Chicken Sandwich and the seafood tacos which are delicious. This time I tried their classic 7oz steak with crispy mash and asparagus. The "crispy mash" is very creatively made! It is inside of like a wonton wrapper with sour cream and bacon! Everything was very wells seasoned and the steak cooked medium was very juicy and flavorful. For the prices on the menu, you are getting good quality food for it and the overall experience. Everything is wheelchair accessible accept the steps to go into the bar. Also this is a bit nit picky but I would appreciate more pasta options :)

Came to this location for a birthday celebration. Food was on point ????. Ordered alcohol beverages but they didn't have much on stock. Had to exchange my Moscow Mule for something much better. Something one of the servers suggested so thank you ????. Also only had 1 dessert so that was disappointing. Went to Joey yesterday for the first time and can’t wait to go again, yes the experience was that good! Exceptional food , great service and perfect ambiance ! Our brilliant and exceptional server Shernell made it the best restaurant experience we ever had! Attentive, poised, efficient and the list can go on, she made sure we were comfortable, always checked on us… The dishes were delicious! We had the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wrap- the dish was finger licking good even the lettuce was so crisp and fresh , Sushi cone, Herb Crush Salmon(Best dish) - an exceptional dish! The salmon had a melt in the mouth texture, the herbs and the sauce made it intoxicatingly good! This dish came with the mash potatoes but I wanted to try their crispy mash and Shernell made it happen and it was literally the best, Baja fish tacos - both my husband and I never tasted a taco so good! Soft, melt in the mouth feeling, it came with fries that were great. The finale was when Shernell and another sweet server person surprised us with a molten lava cake with ice cream with happy anniversary plated excellently! And glasses of champagne !!!!! Joey is an experience we will never forget! P.S the drinks were great too I loved the Signature sangria more

I've been coming to this Joey for many years and had a really bad experience the other night. I sat down at a relatively empty bar, my beer was empty and the bartender clearly saw that any didn't ask if i would like another one. Even after asking for another one she proceeded to make drinks for other tables and went to talk to her co-workers then came back to pour me one. What made this experience even worse was the Manager was also making drinks behind the bar the entire time and didn't once ask me if i was ok. When a couple sat down however she attended to them right away. I've been to many restaurants over the years and this the worst experience ive ever had. This is the last time ill be coming to this location.

No words to describe the satisfaction everytime I come or order at any of the locations of Joey's restaurant. The restaurant itself looks beautiful, cant wait for restaurants to open up to dine in. We order quite a lot, the pasta pomodoro, blackened chicken, herb salmon and seared sushi was especiallyyyy amazing and everything else was excellent too! I used to love Joey’s. Came to this location for a Saturday lunch, the chair that was given to us wasnt even wiped from the last customers, there were bread crumbs all over it, so we asked our waitress to clean it. Ordered 3 drinks, they came without a coaster and the lady slipped our drink on the table, then barely damp it down with a tissue (i had to call her to properly clean the table later on) Our food came so very late after drinks!! and then they’ve decreased the number of crispy potatos from the dish and the entire attitude when I asked for another one was off Overall I was very disappointed! joey’s was probably my number 1 go to casual place but highly disappointing this time. I won’t be coming at least to this location! and i’ll make sure all my joey’s lovers friends know about this.

I am really impressed by the service I received here. The restaurant was full but the host found a table for two of us in less than ten minutes and we were ordering our food in less than 15 minutes. The waitress was absolutely lovely and she explained each menu item completely and precisely. The food was prepared fairly quickly and it was just superb. The steak was made as I loved and those Royal Sliders were really tasty. The desert was my favourite. Definitely will come back soon, and I will recommend you to pay a visit to this place... You won't be disappointed ????

Went to Joey's Don Mills for a friend from out of town. My friends rotisserie chicken was very tasty and juicy which was surprising as most of the time they're dry. The steak frites I ordered was supposed to come out rare but instead came out medium rare. The waitress took it back but then it took another 15min to cook a rare steak only to find out that they made it medium. At this point I was too hungry and decided just to eat it. Careful for those of you who want steak as they don't know how to cook it rare. Other than that service was fine and the wait staff are gorgeous.

Came at around 6:30pm on Wednesday, and added my name to the wait list that was supposed to be 1 hour but after one hour an half still no available table and when asked to talk with manager. the manager was a teenage girl and she was very rude and rejected us without any respect. we ended up to go somewhere else after 2 hours and would not return to this location anymore.

One of my favourite restaurants! Always a good choice and what i like about Joey is that the food is always consistent no matter which one you go to. My only complaint is food proportions are too small compared to their prices. I love going there during their happy hours, drinks and cocktails are priced great during those times. Came to Joey's twice in a week. Tried their apple pie with ice cream and it is just okay. There is too much pecan or nuts in it and the crust isn't flavourful. Their cocktails are delish, and the waiters are really good at accommodating your adjustments. Mine had too much mint so they were able to accommodate. The chicken burger and their veggie burger are really good. Very saucy and crunchy and definitely not like these fast food joints. Their spaghetti is also very yummy with a distinct sauce taste that doesn't require anything extra to be added. They rooftop is the best patio they have with a great view. During the opening of patios it has been long wait times. We waited 4 hours and they didn't do a great job at ensuring people sat for their designated time. We noticed a table that was there for the entire 4 hours we were waiting and when we put our names down they told us you only had 1hr and 45 mins due to the volume of people. Gave it 4 stars for that reason.

The first time I dined here last June, I tried their paella dish and it was incredibly amazing! When I went back recently with my kids, I was sad to see it was no longer on the menu. Happy hour options are great and reasonably priced for both food and drinks. Highly recommend the chilli chicken and yam fries. Service is mediocre, though we were seated quickly and served water to start, the server took forever to return or ask how things were shortly after the food came.

If my experience happened 2 years ago, I would have given 2 or 3 stars. But I understand that most restaurants are working with less staff and new staff, while working under unprecedented constraints. First the positives. All the meals ordered at our table were delivered in a timely manner, were hot, and delicious. The drinks took awhile, but were also delicious. The negatives, the hosts seemed a little unorganised. I was told a table was ready for me upstairs, when I got upstairs there wasn't a table available. While hosts were figuring out what to do, a horde of people built up behind us and there was ZERO social distancing. The hosts were pleasant and accommodating though. After we were sat, a busser dropped off water but it took 30 minutes for a server to appear. And it took 45 minutes for our bills to be dropped. But our server was nice, funny and knowledgeable about the menu. Another odd thing was when we asked for physical menus (5 of 6 people at the table were over 70 and didn't have cell phones on them), we were told they weren't suppose to give us menus, but eventually we were given menus. Would give this location another chance.

Used to be my favourite restaurant ever and I went at least once a week. Never going back again... The food quality and service is so much worse now. Ever since the pandemic they are not the same. Everything tastes below average for above average prices. Also, they have taken so many good things off their menu. Oh also, they replied to me saying to email them and i sent them an email explaining the situation but THEY IGNORED!! So so so disappointing. I wish they could go back to their old ways. Used to be great service and great food, now its the worst of the worst.

One of my fave places in toronto. The ambience, the food and the drinks are all awesome. A must to come if u ever visit toronto A must have is the lobster grilled cheese sandwich, the ahiu tuna club, their great assortments of drinks and the apple pie.
