This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
Hands down to the best curry we have had in North shore, the fish and meats were so tender and succulent and full of flavour, the veg dishes have a huge variety. 100% recommend.
Fabulous food that will tantalize your taste buds - an Epicurean Experience not to be missed by any Indian Food Connoisseur!
I hadn't been to Palki for several years, but we were passing by today around late lunch- early dinner time and decided to eat Indian. Great choice. I'd forgotten how good this place is. Best Indian food I've had in years. I'm tempted to give them 5 stars, but no one gets 5.
Yummy! We got take out for 14 people and were fortunate enough to have been told about Palki's. Amazing food made fresh and promptly. Everyone loved it!
We've ordered delivery a few times now and EVERY TIME, it has been fantastic. It's rare to get consistent quality every time but they do it. Their spices are great, their naan and vindaloo are standouts I highly recommend them for delivery.
Good but could be better.
Delectable, aromatic, flavourful, and paired perfectly with a relaxing, family-friendly setting. Overall, Palki is the ideal venue for a replenishing and refreshing meal while quenching any cravings for Indian food.
Our first time going to this restaurant . Authentic Indian food comparable to India and our server was really friendly! Will def be going back
I did have a problem with their delivery food but they fixed it and I'm happy again. How a business deals with disgruntled punters is the Mark of a good business. Hence 5*. I've eaten Indian across North America and this is the best I've found. Try them.
Pretty great. Expensive though.
Been the best for years
I booked a family dinner in Palki, having not been to the restaurant before,i was slightly nervous but i should not have worried. The food was absolutely good..it was worth every penny. We had a fantastic dinner and i will definitely going back to palki as soon as i have a good excuse
Love this place. The owners are funny and personable and the food is downright amazing.
Amazing food. Chicken tikka FTW
I love this place! Amazing food, excellent quantity and quality! Some of the best Indian food I have ever had! Great service in restaurant as well as great delivery. Highly recommended!
The food is very good, service is friendly and courteous. A very enjoyable experience. We will return.
Very delicious foods and a nice space. Just be prepared to spend quite a bit. It's definitely an indulgence.
This is hands-down the best Indian dining experience I’ve ever had! A party of eight, we were greeted cheerfully at the door, and were seated promptly. Given a perfectly-timed short pause to check out the menus, we received excellent suggestions on how to order a balanced meal. When it came time to order, our waiter paid excellent attention to the details of our order—including a few unique dietary restrictions that many would fail to accommodate. The chef even came out to present options for those of us with more restrictions. When the food arrived, we were all amazed at the quality ingredients, recipes, and attention to detail. Personally, I can attest to the quality of the Lamb Rogan Josh, which had crisp, lean lamb in a perfectly-spiced traditional sauce. Served with delectable Naan, it was a scrumptious treat. The Keema Naan was also an excellent appetizer. Throughout the meal, our server endeared himself to us all, exhibiting a keen perception of our likes and interests. We had an excellent time, spent with great friends, enjoying wonderful food, in a clean, relaxing, enjoyable environment. We were even gifted a bowl of house-made ice cream to split and try. Cost: on par for the excellent service, food, and experience. Food: phenomenal, astounding, extraordinary! Atmosphere: couldn’t be better. I would (and will!) recommend this restaurant to anyone who eats!
So good! We dined in the restaurant and its very clean and beautiful inside. The food was excellent and we ordered too much so we were able to easily pack it up and take it with us. The beef korma and the butter chicken are amazing. My kids loved the mango lassis. Service was great. Will be back :)
Delicious food with great service and reasonable price. Everything tasted very authentic. Must visit the restaurant.
One of the best Indian meal I had so far in north shore .... Just loved it
Very friendly staff. Incredible food. My favorite Indian restaurant in Vancouver area. We always try to come every trip from Seattle. Always consistent food. Great recommendations.
Mid range prices (12-14$ no naan or rice incld), attentive (though dour) service, food's pretty good. I'd recommend if you want some decent, classier Indian food.
Exceptional service! Food was absolutely delicious! The lamb was sooooo tender. A true gem on the North Shore.
Best Indian restaurant on the North shore . Affordable, delicious food and friendly staff
Really Good ;) We try butter chicken and spinach lamb. Both testy. Nice service.
Good taste and service.
Real Punjabi food... When I miss England and mums cooking... This is where I head. The staff are friendly and we even managed an evening when everyone left... Music turned up and chilled... Great times. Humble Indian restaurant
Very delicious dishes and friendly people. We took yammi Dal Soup with yellow lentils and Chicken Masala with fresh Naan and rice..it was very delicious
Used to come here all the time - Ordered again recently for the first time ina while and I'm not sure Ive ever had some bland Indian food before. Ordered two completely different dishes and they tasted exactly alike, just an over abundance of spice infused tomato sauce and meat thrown together.
Delicious food, excellent service. An old favourite!
Good service good food, you would like to go there again!
Wonderful experience tonight. I deeply respect a restaurant that will serve you food that is spicy on request. Even if it ends up being more spicy than I bargained for. Usually when I say hot I get something like medium. Hot means hot at Palki! What a fantastic thing. Great service, Great food. Will be back again. Took a long time to find this lovely long established restaurant.
GROSS AND RUDE!
Nice little joint for Indian food
I visit this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I love how the service is always excellent and they keep the spot well organized constantly. Pricing is convenient and they serve large portions.
Very friendly people and delicious food!
Beautiful Ambiance with great feeling. Nice food and very quick responsive service.
Don’t trust restaurants that say they’re the best right outside their store. What a terrible biryani. It was wet with oil, I couldn’t taste anything, I salted it myself, even then all I tasted was oil and onions. Indian bistro in yaletown has hands down the best biryani I’ve had in all of Vancouver. Person who made this biryani should taste it. These guys don’t know what they’re doing. Cheap quality food for premium pricing. I don’t know how Indian restaurant owners don’t know what Indian food tastes like. My mind is blown by how many restaurants I’ve tried in Vancouver and it’s a disappointment one after the other. Gonna add this to my list as well. Please, go to india and have good food, bring what you learn and implement it in your restaurants. Ghisa pita khaana mut khilao. ????
The chicken tasted like it was microwaved. Chewy - not marinaded well. The food was not very traditional Indian food. The spices we're okay, kind of watered down
I'm an Indian who can't cook Indian food. I can make rice, for everything else theres Palki a phone call away!
Fast and friendly all you can eat
Good Indian cuisine. There's a nice relaxed atmosphere with good Indian music in the background. The Thali for two is a little pricy but was definitely worth it.
Very good indian food, well priced, nice admosphere
I brought my family here yesterday for dinner and we each ordered our own main dish and shared all around. Everyone was very happy with the food, the service and the portions. We all served up seconds and thirds and still brought food home. Our oldest photo-bombed his meal on Pintrest and wants to come back to try everything else - our youngest was too full for desert and that never happens. I would certainly recommend this establishment and will be back for sure.
Have been going there for years very good authentic food best on the north shore and vancouver
Great food! Lunch special was perfect. The world renowned fish proctologist Brent Mossop is sometimes spotted here; but will not sign autographs .
Good Indian food at decent price. Not quite as good as some locations in Vancouver, but the place looks less like a dive compared to other Indian places.
I'd recommend this place to anyone! My family and I had an amazing dinner here! Normally when my family and I go to Indiana restaurants the butter chicken is always too sweet or the food is too oily. But at Palki the food was all perfect, and came out hot! On top of all this we came in late and they still took us in. Not only that but our waiter Jeet was a wonderful host; interesting conversation, humorous, and very kind. He even went as far as to tell us about how dedicated and good the owner/his employer was. The experience we had here was unique, cozy and delicious. Definitely check this place out!
This place is worth trying. They have large portions for convenient rates. Consistently neat and with awesome mood. Will come back again.
Best Indian food in Vancouver. Its a family owned restaurant that has been around forever, and they really know how to cook. They also offer lunch buffets for a set price around $13 per person.
Food was good but it took almost an hour
My vote for best Indian food in Vancouver. Easily the best in North Van. Spices n flavours and everything cooked to perfection. Love it!
An excellent meal and great service. Our server took charge of the situation and helped us navigate the menu successfully to order the right schtuff and make sure that we got enough food. Service was excellent.
Dine in
Very tasty and inexpensive.
Food was great...may be its best restaurant in vancouver. gobi ki sabzi was awsm. I have no words about service by Mr jeet singh.
Great food and service
We always use a restaurant close to us in South Vancouver and Palki was recommended to us from a friend. So a 40 minute drive to the restaurant in North Vancouver turned out to be a dissapointment. We orderdered take away and the food had no taste, the naan meat fell out and was tasteless. The rice was poor. A shame because I was looking forward to the meal.
I visited palki with my family. We were impressed to see the inside, they have done an amazing job. Most importantly the food is delicious. Tables are spread apart for social distancing. Service is great. We were able to sit, enjoy and have a great time as a family. Will definitely be back again.
Love the Garlic name, love the Kashmir naan...coconut rice, and coconut chicken
Love the food and service here. Been here enough and starting to feel like part of the family. They are so warm and inviting.
really that was amazing time at palki restaurant . food was really good and i really like the staff and and food as well. i would like to give 5 out of 5 .
Fantastic spot. Great for takeout. 10/10 would naan bread here again
Though my experience with this restuarant was amazing overall. One part time employee who worked there wasn't welcoming at all and sadly that made my great day come to a terrible end.
Everything was perfect for our meal at Palki tonight. The servers were excellent. The Food was delicious. Specifically, the Butter Chicken was the best I have ever had. The Naan bread was fluffy and fresh. We are full and very happy. Looking forward to our next visit! -D&K
Good food @ lunchtime buffet. Spicing was right, food was fresh, service was pleasant, and replenishment of buffet items was good. Will recommend.
Best Indian food on the North Shore without a doubt! Great for takeout but also has a really nice restaurant. We've tried almost all the others and Palki is by far the best.
Palki is not the greatest, nor the worst when it comes to Indian food on the North shore. It's definitely got the best ambience when compared to other places nearby like Indian Fusion or Pavan's Kitchen. Priced are reasonable though food can be hit it miss. Parking is easy and service generally good.
Went there the day before my wife was due with our first child. The waiter said we had come to the right place. Someone had been there recently, had the lamb vindaloo, and then had a baby boy the next day. Our son was also born the next day.
We ordered a tikka malasa and a Madras, but got two almost identical currys... They did not taste much. The chicken was basically scraps. Probably the worst indian food Iv ever had.
oh wow... hands down the best Indian restaurant on the north shore and possibly the city
Not bad for take out but there are better Indian restaurants on the north shore
Went for the spicy butter chicken, coconut rice and a garlic naan. The naan was thin and drizzled with garlic butter and spices for a mouthwatering but not too filling side, the coconut rice had full flavour and was a generous portion, and the curry itself consisted of masterfully combined flavours and perfectly cooked chicken for a deeply moreish result. I didn't manage to finish, but I wanted to, and they kindly packaged up the rest for me to take home. The low lighting and close comfy seating lends to a relaxed intimate atmosphere, exaccerbated by fantastic service, and rounded off with uncompromising quality. Highly recommend.
Palki is definitely the best Indian food in town and is quickly becoming one of my favourite restaurants. I have only been twice, but both times were excellent. The food comes out fast and is always delicious! The restaurant has a clean and classy decor. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves curry and delicious food!
Best Indian food in North Van, good service, but a bit on the pricey side.
Giving 1 star for the naan. The rest was a terrible lunch buffet experience. For a weekend buffet, the selection was very limited and the menu was a displeasure. This restaurant caters to non-Indians who do not know what Indian food actually is, and think that “beef curry” is an actual dish on the buffet. As for vegetarian options, the buffet had 1)plain dal 2)aloo gobhi and that was it. These are dishes you would make at home on an average day and not something you should serve at a weekend buffet at a restaurant charging $17/person. Server also seemed to be embarrassed to talk to his native tongue and only replied to me in English while he talked to other servers in our native language.
Loved the food, will use in future!
Amazing food, great experience, exemplary service. As a lover of Indian cuisine I was very impressed by everything on offer, but perhaps the best aspect of the evening was the care and attention given to ensuring that our large party had a perfect dining experience. I give my full recommendation without hesitation.
Visited this restaurant with coworker by accident as the other Indian restaurants in North Vancouver are closed for reservations. Food was freshly prepared upon order and served hot. The staffs are very friendly and the place was clean. There’s no designated parking and so be prepared to find street parking especially during peak hours. Restaurant is too far from downtown and this is good place for someone to taste real indian food and escape from the fake ones in the city. Tandoori chicken, garlic naan and onion kulcha are must try items in their menu. Definitely visit again!
Great place love the food
Good food good staff
(Translated) Best in town (Original) Best naan in town
We've been coming to Palki for years and it's always a win. Food is always tasty and the service is the best
In my mind, Palki has one of the best Indian buffets in Metro Vancouver. I got there early when it just opened, so all of the food was still hot and fresh. Started with a fresh cucumber and carrot salad, then proceeded with all the usual fixings: Butter Chicken, Dal, and Veggie Korma. Butter chicken was delicious and is usually my favorite dish, but in this case the korma stood out. The korma had a slight bite to it and was not too sweet. Naan was hot and fresh. Very impressed, would definitely come back in the future!
Hi there, i ordered your "wings from hell" today and suggested that if could make it way hotter than "baywatch babes" not those babes from Penthouse or playboy magazines. Its so overwhelming! Thanks! ;)
Very pleasant spot with great selection of the cuisine. Professional service (albeit too professional if that’s possible?) and styled quite nicely. Lunch and dinner specials are attractive, and food quality is very good!
Good food in abundance served by friendly staff in a warm and cozy atmosphere!
Meal type
Grate food and service.
Great place to take a group. Enjoy most of the food, sometimes a little too salty.
We always enjoy it here, good but limited lunch buffet
This spot simply knows how to take care of their clients. Always with a super friendly approach. The food is fairly priced, regularly fresh and clean.
Wonderful place that seems to actually use a tandoor oven to cook their meats which is very delicious and different. Great seasonings and good selection. Service and setting is very beautiful and spacious.
Party of seven for a special occasion. Food was excellent and the staff, especially Jeet, entered into the spirit of things and made for a most enjoyable visit.
Good basic rear Indian food.
The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Being a vegan, I loved how they were so accommodating to my needs. Would highly recommend this place for an amazing dining experience of Indian cuisine! And they have the yummiest chilli sauce that they make in house that just makes every dish even more perfect!!
Great lunch buffet. Where the locals eat.
Good quality and very good customer service. We ordered Alu Gobi and chicken dish both were pretty good.no complaints!
Great food friendly staff good service.
Best quality Indian on the shore.
This is truly great Indian food.
Best in Vancouver!
Excellent food (paneer pakora was delicious!), great atmoshere and very friendly staff. Not the cheapest but worth every cent!
Had Butter Chicken, garlic nan and coconut rice. Was really good. Came out hot, great flavor on the butter chicken. I got medium and thought it could use a bit more heat, but maybe I got white guy medium. Would go again.
Great place with good flavor. The Naan was great as well as the chicken butter and beef Korma.
Palki is the best. The food, the service, everything about them is incredible. I always get the same thing and I never have regrets. Amazing from the pappadums to the butter chicken, every time.
The biriyani that we ordered turned out to be a lamb curry mixed with white rice. Feeling deceived and cheated! Why would you call it biriyani/pulao?
Excellent service, delicious food, very kind and funny staff. The best Indian restaurant in the greater Vancouver area.
The best Indian food on the shore!
Really great food and awesome service. Prices are pretty good too
Many thanks for taking care for Saturdays Aug 7 & 14 food without onion & garlic (Veg makhani, Malai kofta, Paneer) during our recent vacation out west. Very delicious but more than that it's your caring & courteous staff really provided a great customer experience.
I had the worst experience ever. I was visiting capilano and passed by to eat some east Indian food. The service was very slow, food was cold and taste less I would not recommend to go here and waste your money
Service
I grew up in Toronto where there are more Indian restaurants than you can shake a stick at, and a large majority of them offer All You Can Eat as standard. So I absolutely adore Indian cuisine (pizza with butter chicken as a dipping sauce, do it), my father and I would regularly hit up a place in the Indian version of Crystal Mall there because it's something we just couldn't get at home and we were crazy for it. The spices, the smells, the chunks of meat in copious amounts of sauce. There's just nothing like it and when the cravings start, they don't go away until I've had some. I've been to Palki's during their dinner time and enjoyed it a lot, great atmosphere with great decorations and fairly well kempt. It was a pleasant, quiet evening, very relaxed and the food was awesome; everything was well prepared, well seasoned, good portions (pretty steep price, but on level with every other Indian restaurant on the NS). And I've also done takeout several times, for a quick dinner and some parties. No complaints, ever. The thing that makes Palki's stand out though, is the lunch buffet. It's awesome. There might not be 10,000 items to choose from (ahem Tandoori Flame in Mississauga) but what there is, is of great quality and regularly gets swapped for new things. You can expect the safe stuff like Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken, but they also put down some really cool food that I would normally not try (vegetarian options to be clear). I had the Cabbage and Green Peas the other day, I haven't stopped thinking about it. And they've always (so far as I've been there) served these yam/potato fries for carbs which are amazing to dip into the various sauces (and their naan is no slouch either). If you work anywhere along the lonsdale corridor (or nv at all), do the lunch buffet with your coworkers. There's something for everyone and it's really well priced but beware, you probably won't be very productive afterwards. This place is crazy good.
This place is over-priced for the food they offer. 16 dollars for a small bowl of curry, and rice or naan is an extra add on for several dollars. Tried a few different curries and the taste is decent, I liked the lamb pasanda. I've had butter chicken at other places, and this place has by far the SWEETEST one. It was like half the bowl consisted of sugar, also the reddest butter chicken I've seen.
Most idiotic service i've ever had....The restaurant was literally empty and i asked to sit in a booth with my girl and the guy said its for 4 people not 2 people. 0 Customer Service!! Will not go back to this place.
lovely & tasty food.
My family and me are regulars at this restaurant . Amazing ambience , service and food . Great portion sizes and they cater to spice level as requested !! My favorite dishes are - butter chicken , chicken tikka masala , mixed grill platter and dal makhni. Highly recommend Palki !!!
Great indian meal every time
Traveled from far based on Zomato review. One thing about Indian cuisine restaurants; you never get the Indian taste, sadly. Additionally my family had to experience small stones in lentil curry.
Order here once a week, never disappoints!
Hands down - the best Indian food I've ever had!! The food came in pots with candles below to keep it nice and piping hot! The staff were wonderful - very professional. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are medium to large. We were offered mild, medium or hot spice - so nice to have a choice. I can't wait to return!
the worst buffet I have ever had in canada .....plz don't waste ur money
Very good tasting food. However, ordered take-out Lamb Vindiloo for $15 and it doesn't come with any rice. I would have expected this for $15. Will probably go back to try a full entree.
If you'd like very friendly staff and fantastic food this is a great place to visit.
Stay away if you are looking for authentic taste. I had lunch buffet there. The ingredients are cooked okay but the food is totally bland. The clientele is largely non-east Indian and that should tell you something when going to eat Indian food. One short-cut such restaurants take is to cook many different dishes from the same masala. That is also a reason why most dishes taste the same. This restaurant would die if it were in Surrey where there is stiff competition with so many Indian restaurants around. Because this is only one of three in north Vancouver, it has survived so far. But not because it’s good.
By far the best Indian food experience in the lower mainland. The ambience compared to most Indian restaurants is top notch & the servers are very helpful with recommendations. The portions for the price are well worth it. My favourite vegetarian dish is the bhartha. My favourite meat dish is the coconut chicken curry. Highly recommend!
(Translated) The best indian food I've ever had. It was the most delicious Indian food I've ever eaten. (Original) The best indian food I've ever had. 제가 먹어본 인도요리중 제일 맛있었어요.
The absolute best East Indian food around and we have tried a lot. Everything is made with love because we taste it in the food every time. Mmmmm so delicious. Just order or visit you will not be disappointed. We are addicted to Palki. (Palki! Palki! Palki! my family sings)
Summary: Great food, great service, good prices, nice environment. Let me start off by saying that there is great food here. As far as Naan bread goes - which is imperative for my partner and I, much more than rice - this is the best I know. For and from anywhere in BC (I can't compare to the rest of the world, never had Indian food out there), I will repeatedly go on about how great the Naan bread is here. And Naan bread is not the only thing; all the food I've been around is wonderful, as said by everyone I've been with. I was there with my sister last night and we had a chicken, a lamb and a veggie dish, some rice and some naan, and everything was amazing. The chicken was beautifully done in a delicious Madras tomato sauce and the veggies were at just the right balance of cooked and crisp to body the taste. The lamb was delicate in its amazing Rogan Josh sauce and the Saag Paneer was one of the creamiest I've had. I will say that perhaps the paneer could have had a bit of salt in it - but that might just be my taste buds. I like it because it blended beautifully with the spinach, so a lot more salt would have taken away from the dish. But a tiny bit more could have been nice, if it stayed in the cheese.(Maybe I'm on a salt kick right now) The service was wonderful, helpful and friendly. It was a quiet evening, only a few other tables, but I saw everyone being offered attention and not being hounded. So yes, 5 stars and a big recommendation to try the lamb and chicken!
price for the lunch buffet keeps increasing but the food quality doesn't. If you are looking for vegetarian dishes it's not worth going. There are better places in the area.
A North Shore staple. Go for the buffet.
Overpriced food
Chicken Masala, garlic naan and basmati rice.. soo good I really enjoyed. The service was excellent.
Great service and atmosphere. Food was very good, would definitely recommend. One of my favourite Indian places in North Vancouver to stop by.
Good service and extremely reasonable prices. Bottles of wine should be at least double the price they are right now.
We are so full! The food was delicious and we couldn't stop eating. The service was excellent and friendly. So so good! We will definitely go back... We have just found our new favorite!
We always have a great experience....best curry!!
Great food and service, will be going back.
Fantastic! Love the butter chicken and garlic naan. Overall friendly service, quality food and flexible delivery. I live near deep cove and if they aren’t too busy they will deliver. Great place.
The restaurant serves authentic Indian food, well served on warmer stands individual for each plate you choose. All delicious and big portions. Prices are very good and the owner is always greeting you when you arrive. I highly recommend it. They also have buffet lunch Monday to Friday for a very low price and also weekends.
Our favourite place for Indian cuisine! Fabulous food and consistently good, friendly service.
Wont be back. Ordered take out. Very watered down, the flavours were very different than used to. A lot of cilantro or something with a similar flavour. Went there based on all the reviews, mislead in my opinion :(
The most horrible Biriyani I have ever tasted.
Food was great, customer service needs a bit of an adjustment, but overall I would return!
It is a very positive experience the food is very authentic Indian taste
Four of us went to Palki for dinner the other day. The very first thing we noticed was the cleanliness, well-organized Restaurant with a great ambiance. The second thing we noticed was an amazing service. We were blown away that from far away the owner could tell that we needed something and instead of waiting for the servers to be free (it was super busy), the owner came himself to our table. We felt special. That kind of service with a smile and involvement is hard to find. That is huge. We could tell that this Restaurant is not their business but their passion. They love what they do and treat their diners as their guests. Lastly, the food was the icing on the cake. It was just amazing. All the dishes were delicious but try their Spinach Paneer Naan with the mint chutney, Tandoori Fish, and Hara Bhara Kebab. I think Palki is one of the last Indian Restaurant in the Greater Vancouver Area that still has a clay oven. You just cannot beat the aroma that comes from cooking in the clay oven. Kudos to the owners for doing such a fabulous job!
This is my go to place for Indian food on the north shore. Their buffet is a bit more expensive than most but the quality is good. It's freshly made and the meat dishes have a lot of meat. It's unlike other places where you have to strain each spoonful to get something solid. The butter chicken is made with sour cream without any additional thickeners and has choice pieces of chicken and not random parts. I was surprised that they had beef curry. The vegetarian choices like Dal and Vegetable Korma are excellent as well as the fresh naan bread served at your table. The food is not as spicy so you can invite friends. Covid update: They're open for a few seats of patio dining. They also have a Thali lunch combo for takeout. It's a really great set with everything. But only available at lunch time.
Great food! The ambience is really nice as well.
My favourite Indian restaurant in Vancouver! Their naan is always so fresh, and butter chicken/tandoori chicken is to die for. I usually go in for lunch buffet and it’s perfect everytime. Servers are very friendly every time I go in and they are willing to get to know you which is appreciated. 5 stars!!
Palki always comes through for us. Consistently delicious food and good quantity, too. And the service is great, too. Our server was not only super caring but so learned and hilarious. He made our experience all the more enjoyable. Thanks Palki. We will be back soon.
Went there at 2:15 pm for lunch time buffet and was told they cannot serve me because I came in too late. Well then you should not use misleading opening hours on your website!
Best Indian in Vancouver
average food, below average service, above average price. And compulsory 15% tip added to the bill. That was not worth it.
Best Indian food on the north shore! Great service too! Highly recommend any of the lamb dishes
Great food and service!
The best India Subcontinent buffet I know!
Delicious paneer pakora.
Wonderful flavours of India. Very happy to recommend this restaurant. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Great Food. Love the fish tikka and butter chicken
Lunch
Good service, good food and good environment.!
Am I taking crazy pills or is it because I do take out... maybe both. My wife always gets the Tandoori chicken which I'll admit is good but every curry I've ordered tastes watered down. I've gone so far as reducing their sauces in a pan and adding Japanese curry cubes to it to give it any taste whatsoever. When my wife gets a hankering for tandoori chicken I always order take out. I prefer saucy curries so I've been going though their menu 1 item at a time trying to find one that is acceptable and have yet to find anything with taste. I'm a long time Indian food lover and I've had better curries in food courts. If you're a real Indian food fan, please think twice before you trust other reviews or you will be disappointed.
Amazing taste. Great and friendly staff!????????
Always so tasty and fabulous friendly service!
The best Indian spot in NV and possibly the best butter chicken in the city.
We had a really good time here! The food was exceptional and everyone was really friendly. We really enjoyed the curry mussels - best mussels ever! What we also really appreciated was how adamantly they enforced mask rules. A couple of anti maskers came in and tried to walk around the restaurant and the kitchen even without masks! The staff was polite and firm that they couldn’t enter the kitchen, had to wear masks, and had to remain seated. 10/10 perfect way to handle it (though personally I would have kicked them out LOL, the staff are kinder than me) Thank you for a great time!
I've been to many Indian restaurants and this not the best at all. The food quality is the worst so far. Ordered Beef Korma and the beef pieces were sooo hard to chew. Then, I asked to change it to chicken instead. Gratefully, they did, but then again the boneless chicken wasn't good at all. They choose to serve the worst cut of chicken "only fatty thighs", and the beef that's like a rubber. Sorry, I'm just being frank about it.
This is our go to place for Indian food! My husband and I cannot count how many times we have either visited to dine in or had take-out and we have yet to be disappointed. Traditional, always hot, and full of flavor... the food here far exceeds the competition. Thank you to your great staff, management, and chefs. We will see you soon!
Went for the lunch buffet and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Casual but elegant. Food was great with a decent selection of curries.
Best Indian food ever!
Awesome food and service. We order take out typically and they are so friendly on the phone and so are the delivery people that it is hard not to love Palki.
We ordered butter chicken, Naan and Chicken Briyani. That's the worst biryani I have tasted so far in my life. The Butter chicken was ok and butter Naan was good. The food was not worth the waiting time in the Restaurant.
Best Indian in North Vancouver
Great food
Delicious luncheon special. I can recommend the lamb curry.
Delicious! Traditional authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food, and service! Jeet was amazing.
We were staying in the area and dropped in. I'm very glad we did. The food was absolutely tremendous. We had a vegan eater with us, who found suitable items on the menu as well. The service was very attentive and hospitable
Costmer service and food are just awesome ???? Tag line says that "best Indian food" and it's true I loved chicken tikka and butter chicken ???? which I ordered ????with nan bread It's just wowed ????
The butter chicken is BY FAR the best I’ve ever had. The food is always hot and tasty, and the naan bread is fluffy and delicious. Portions are generous and fairly priced and the buffet is great too. The best restaurant in North Vancouver, and the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to.
The best part is their all-you-can-eat buffet, only available at lunch. I would take my friends there and we would stuff our faces with good food!
Delicious. Fast delivery time. Food was hot!!
Amazing food and good service. We have been coming to Palki Restaurant for years now. Actually, now Palki is our kids favourite Indian restaurant. Over the year we have gotten to know the owner a little. We find the owner Bhupinder to be totally devoted, caring, fair and thoughtful and it reflects in Palki's huge success, quality of food, service, and long term staff that has been with him for decades. We look forward to many more years of enjoying Palki's delicious food.
Great food and staff
Good customer service from jeet
Great food and service.
Simply the best Indian cuisine in the city. Our family have been coming here for years and always look forward to the consistently amazing food and humble attentive service. Thank you for the wonderful memories and full tummies! Long live Palki!
Surprisingly delicate and flavorful. Some of the best Indian cuisine we have had. Perfect spicing, tender meats. Light and refreshing Cucumber Salad. Great service and friendly staff. Beautiful décor, calm atmosphere. We will be back!! Soon.
We had take out 'lamb' curry - mild - from them tonight. Side of vegetables and naan bread. Very tasty except for fact that the lamb was not lamb , maybe it was mutton, but it was not great. Restaurants think their patrons are stupid.
I found palki online, and I was blown away on how great of quality their lunch buffet is. Unfortunately, every time I have entered the restaurant I'm greeted with a cold shoulder with the manager that says no hi, no greeting, just a blank stare. This happens every time I go their, I have been their about 10 times in the last 8 months. One day, a couple people before and after me entered the restaurant, he greeted the people before and after me, but for me I just got a blank stare. I am overweight and it's clear he doesn't like me and likely because of that reason. It's too bad, I enjoyed their food, but no longer can take the rude hospitality. If your not overweight you will get good service.
I wish the owner would have listened to my feedback when I spoke with him and e-mailed him. I guess they make enough money that it doesn't matter that they are now using poor, low quality GMO chicken in the butter chicken and the portion sizes are smaller...things don't have the same quality taste they used to, and after being a loyal patron for years, they have great food but are inconsistent and now seemingly going down the toilet. On to the next good place w/butter chicken..no offense but there are PLENTY..
Buffet is definitely tasty. It's a little pricey for lunch but if you go hungry and can nap afterwards it's fantastic
