Excellent Greek food. Prompt service, nice ambience. Lily was our server and did excellent. Ordered the chicken souvlaki. It came with a super fresh and crunchy Greek salad, potato, rice, pita bread and taziki sauce. The taziki was lovely, rich and thick. The chicken was grilled to perfection. Also ordered the mousaka which was deliciously creamy. Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want authentic quality Greek food.

Look no further if you want a home cooked meal with large portions, cooked with high quality ingredients, and served with genuine warmth and hospitality. We got the moussaka (veggie and beef) and it was so delicious, with Greek salad (tomatoes were super fresh), rice (so savoury and plump grains), potatoes, and the tastiest tzatziki (very herby). Feels like going to someone's home and having their mom or grandma cook for you, with the same level of home-iness and caring service. Must try!

Lily and Mike have been serving fabulous Greek cuisine for many years. Some may have eaten at their restaurant when it was at Parkgate Village on Mount Seymour Parkway. We rediscovered them on Lonsdale. The chicken souvlaki with rice potatoes and pita and Greek salad is our favourite. The menu is great and the prices are very reasonable. Hospitality is very much like being welcomed into someone’s home. Comfortable surroundings and wonderful service. Try it and you’ll love it.

Astonishing Mousaka. I moved to Vancouver 10 years ago from Greece, tried Stefos and other local greek restaurants. I was so disappointed that I stoped eating Mousaka and most of greek foods all together. I tried last night Mousaka at Kostas, and it was better than what I had in Greece. The owner was trained in Greece, and his wife is so lovely, caring and welcoming. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I would recommend this place for some one who wanna have good quality time and good quality food.

I really don't know how they got their 4.6 stars reviews. But, in my opinion it's completely overpriced mediocre food. Flavours are OK, nothing worth noting. What's worth noting is that paying $23 for a musaka that was 90% rice 5%salad and 5% a reheated musaka, definitely won't give them a 5 star review from me.

I’m so disappointed. We were staying at a hotel and ordered take out. They sent no cutlery. It took over an hour and we were 6 blocks away. The Greek salad had no flavour. The calamari appetizer was super small. The tzadziki was very much lacking pizzaz. Where we live it has garlic kick. Small portions. We had to eat with our fingers. I told them we were at a hotel room. ????????????

Best service on the North Shore. The owners/ hostess remembered our names and orders after only being there once before. The service and food has earned them our regular repeat business. Consistently incredibly gracious and positive even throughout these tough Covid times. Not sure what restaurant the recent negative reviewers were at but every time we have been to Kostas the cleanliness is second to none. Since the start of the covid outbreak we pick up our takeout directly and their time estimates are bang on - never waited more than 5 minutes from when they said it would be ready.

The food was very delicious! We discovered this place after a cold walk in the rain and it was just the cozy meal we needed. I loved the veggie moussaka! As a new comer to North Shore this restaurant exceeded my expectation in all categories. Service is amazing as the owners make you feel welcome & my friend and I had a great experience. Food was very plain, not a Greek style, at all. Service was very slow, possibly due to big party and only one service person, though I didn't see many dishes getting to that party, as they were close to be done. If you like or want to try real Greek food, I would not recommend this restaurant.

It was OK... I was alone at the restaurant Saturday night .. the atmosphere in the restaurant was good .. but the food .. can not give more than three stars .. was not delicious specially the beef .. I do not know why.. maybe the beef quality was not high enough although it is not cheap restaurant.. maybe they have different good dishes .. but for me the beef slovaki was not what I expect .. also before I finish my drinks I found the lady who was serving, brought the machine for me to pay the bill .. looks like she want me to leave ..although there was no body but me in the restaurant... and I was not decided to leave .. a little weird service .. but still OK..

A regular at the previous restaurant and location, Lonsdale Kabob. Followed them to this new and amazing Greek Experience. Wonderful family and absolutely amazing marinated meat. The owners are very unique and sweet. You can tell they love their passion and I noticed they treat everyone as if they are family:) I am glad and happy to have a place I can bring anyone and know the experience will be consistent and lovely!

The waitress and staff were very pleasant. The food was ok, my lamb chops were thin and over done, the pita tasted store bought- I would expect homemade bread when you're paying $30 for dinner...if not, reduce your prices to reflect more of a chain restaurant. Sadly, we won't be back.

Not able to go to the restaurant we did Take Away. The girl on the phone was happy and cheerful. Very well packed for travel. Enjoyed Chicken Souvlaki times three, tender marinated chicken, grilled to perfection. All the trimmings, lemon roasted potatoes and rice. Greek salad light with great flavour. I made a quick trip in to grab a light dinner on my way home - so this review is based on the Spanakopita Entree. Fantastic! I wandered in at dinner time, Dec 2020. The restaurant is currently doing take out only, and while I was the only person at the door, I could see the staff were busy with many orders. Even though they were busy, I got immediate service to place my order and it was then made very quickly for me to take. During the short time that I waited for the meal to be prepared, I saw a few people come in to pick up their orders and I noticed they did not have to wait. So my ordering in person did not throw off the efficiency of they kitchen, which really impressed me. The food itself was amazing. My partner loves spanakopita, and the quality of this meal simply wowed both of us. A beautiful light and crispy phyllo crust was better than perhaps any I've tried. Let me say that I am most often disappointed by phyllo crusts, so to notice this is a top compliment from me. The filling contained perfectly balanced ingredients - the spinach and cheese complimented each other, rather than fighting for a dominant flavour. The sides were very good. A smooth, light hummus, delicious tzatziki, super Greek potatoes and rice (beautiful quality ingredients & texture), and a nice Greek salad. A wonderful dressing on the salad -the olive oil stood out in particular- but I might have liked to see a slightly larger salad. All in all, I guess you can tell that we were both very impressed with the meal - Kostas is a 5 Star restaurant! I'll be happy to head back to this part of town again to try more.

Kostas Mediterranean this is a best Geek restaurant in North Shore, last Sunday we went to kostas we had souvlaki, and lamb chops with rice, $ salad the food was fantastic I'm so glad we made right decision . The owner of the restaurant was very nice and kind we had a great time, this is a cozy place And also very cleaned, I don't know should I say more. Don't kostas Mediterranean in North Shore I believe if you go there you will be happy and have a great food !

Excellent and friendly service. It’s more intimate than other Greek restaurants on the North Shore and that makes it feel homey and part of the community. They know our order, including drinks and what dishes we want specialized. We and our 2 teenagers love the food and the atmosphere. It’s become one of the places where we celebrate family birthdays. Oh and for the value, we almost always have a box to go for lunch the next day!

Kostas Restaurant have fantastic Greek food! Chicken is really fresh and their Greek salad is very tasty. Service is fantastic! This Greek Restaurant is much better than the other two Greek Restaurants down on lower Lonsdale. I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves Greek food.

I am thrilled to have re-discovered Kosta's on Lonsdale. We used to visit them when they were in Parkgate and we were so sad when they closed down. Their food is delicious and their Arni Psito is a must have. They were so kind and helped celebrate our anniversary in the best way possible and surprised us with Dessert. Best Greek food on the North shore! Best Greek food ever!

We had high hopes for this place based on the other reviews but unfortunately we did not enjoy our take out order. The presentation was good, I love that the Greek salad is packaged separately as other places don't always do that. The tzatziki was great but the rest of the meal was mostly inedible as it was way too salty and the pita was extremely dry and stale.

Been to a few Greek restaurants on the North Shore but these guys are really top notch! Everything from their Greek Salad, Calamari (so crispy), Potatoes, Fries, Moussaka and Lamb dishes were sooo very good! You won't be disappointed. So lucky to have this gem on the North Shore. Thanks for a great dinner. Ordered via DoorDash and everything arrived fast, and hot! The Calamari was still crispy!!

Good greek food and not pretentious. We were the first to arrive on a Friday evening. Serving staff were friendly and service was quick. We tried the calamari for appetizers followed by lamb and salmon dishes. Both were served with rice and potatoes and tzatziki. Everything tasted fresh. There is parking outside and in nearby streets. Lonsdale Avenue was in the process of being repaved at the time which may have meant it was quieter than usual. Beer selection was a little disappointing but the house wine was very good. I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Three of us had dinner here this evening. The owner/server was pleasant and helpful. The meal was generous in size and delicious. I had the chicken/lamb/beef kabab combo dinner. The meat was tender and juicy. The Greek salad was delicious with lots of tomatoes in it. The lemon potato was not greasy with just the right amount of lemon flavour. The other two also enjoyed their meals; one being mousaka and the other a meatball dinner. I will definitely be returning to this place!

I would like to respond to the Uber driver who left complaint on Friday 25th. The waitress was not rude to you, she simply asked you to bring your bag in. Instead, he took the 2 take out bags opened the trunk of his car and closed it and put the take out bags in his front seat????? Writing a false review is. bullying and you should loose your job. Ps you can eat off the floor.

We have been going to this wonderful restaurant for years. Hands down the best. There is no comparison for quality, service, atmosphere and friendly service. In these crazy times this place is spotless. Have never had an item from the menu that has been less than stellar. Great prices and delicious food. My family has celebrated birthdays, graduations, celebrations of life and just friends get togethers. If there is a bad review, please, give it a try, as I think you will agree with me, it's one of the best on the North Shore. Trust me! Go enjoy.

I was in town from Toronto and thought I would visit a Greek restaurant to see how they do it out here. Speaking as a Greek/Canadian that spends most of his leisure time in a kitchen I was very impressed. We ordered the roast lamb and lamb chops. As I always do I upgrade my order by slapping on 2 additional chops. NO need to do it here. They were prepared as though was sitting in a Greek taverna at the bottom of the Acropolis in Athens. The roast lamb my friend was able to break it up with just a fork. The sides were perfect as well. Thanks Lilly and Mike.
