Without any doubt, kakh is the best Persian restaurant in Metro Vancouver. The atmosphere is so lovely and brought me all the memories from Iran. The food absolutely delicious… Staff are super friendly and best environment you can get from a restaurant. And best of all ,The live music and live performance restaurant is fantastic ????????

I was in this restaurant last night and they charged us(two people) $10 for gratuity that I didn't pay attention to it so I paid $10 for Tip too because I didn't check that I'm already charged .I was in one of the REC Room resturant in Brentwood center and they charged us $10 as a gratuity but the Tip option was inactive ,I think is not fair to charge people when they aren't aware. Food was good , music was too loud .

The food was great. However, I’m giving two stars because of the uncomfortably loud music. A prestigious restaurants becomes a club in matter of half an hour while you’re still enjoying your dinner — this is NOT okay while COVID is still looming. We couldn’t even talk to each other at the dinner table because of the extremely loud music. We ended up finishing sooner than we wanted and left the restaurant because we were not comfortable while over 30 people were dancing on the dance floor. Overall, my experience was negative.

A complete ripoff!!! We got charged mandatory entrance fee of 30$ each (120$ For 4 of us) and 38$ of mandatory tip. On top of that food was pretty pricey as well. They don’t have a sign to disclose their hidden entrance fee. They should be reported to British Columbia better business bureau.

The food was good but there are a lot of hidden fees that will not be mentioned to you. We were charged $15 for entrance fee which was never mentioned to us when we booked. service fee was added on the bill but the server didn’t mention it , so we paid it twice

Best post-covid restaurant experience I have had! The live music contributes to such a fun, lively, covid-friendly atmosphere! The food was delicious - I ordered the cajun chicken sandwich and the chicken was amazingly flavorful. I also appreciated that they cater to everyone and do not only have Persian food. That being said, my friends absolutely loved their kebabs and cant wait to go back! The fried buffalo mozzarella cheese was also a personal favorite. Staff was welcoming and attentive - I highly recommend!!

We went there for the Thanksgivings' dinner and entertainment. Every thing was perfect cleanliness, service, the Chelo kebab and all the food was #1. Specially the Turkey dinner was out of this world. We are looking forward to the American thanksgiving so we can have the Turkey dinner again. Also, good to hear they have the Turkey plate with all the trimmings for few days more :)

Definitely, it wasn’t a fine dining experience in any way! Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good time. There were just the four of us at 7:30 at the restaurant. Live Music, bar and half part of the menu are just for the Friday and Saturday nights with an extra $15 on top of everything else. Nothing memorable or special about their service, food quality, vibe or the experience to suggest to others.

The food is good but unfortunately the music is so loud that it does not allow you to enjoy with your friends. At the end you would come out with a headache. Top fine dining restaurants never make you feel uncomfortable with a very loud shouting music. Even though customers are complaining about the horrible loud sound system but still their management is not taking any actions to improve.

My favourite meal is chicken kebob and the reason is that they cook it perfectly, since there's a new management, the quality of the foods has gone way up comparing to the old one(specially the rice) I'd 100% recommend.

I wanted to try new Persian food on the North Shore and this exceeded my expectations. Huge portions and beautifully served. The Kashke Bademjan was flavourful and the crispy onions on top were a nice touch, the shallot yogurt was authentic and creamy, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The Loghmeh Kebab was JUICY and sooo tasty. 10/10

We went there with a group of friends twice so far. The food is so delicious and high quality. Everyone was happy to pay a little extra for a good food and service. The music is excellent. The manager is very polite and welcoming. The only thing is the sound system that is too loud in the front tables. And also, the tip is included in the bill and they don’t charge extra gratuity if you don’t want.

Came here with a group of friends on a Friday evening and was very impressed with the ambiance in the restaurant. Live music combined with friendly and attentive service made for an excellent evening for all of us. Onto the food... I've ate out at many different Persian restaurants and the quality of ingredients at Kakh really stands out amongst the crowd. They had an array of excellent non Persian options as well which was a nice surprise as one of my friends is not a big fan of Persian cuisine. Overall, was extremely pleased with my experience here and my friends all felt the same way, will definitely be revisiting very soon! If you haven't checked this place out I highly recommend you do so.

I went to Kakh restaurant today for the fist time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I asked for Bakhtiari and the waitress even do not know what it is!! (She was Iranian!!!). Then she told I have to ask from the manager and after a short period she bring Soltani!!! and insist that this is our Bakhtiari!!! After asking for the bill I recognize they charged me $47 (Why??)!! for their Bakhtiari!!!!! I wanted her to explain and she replied in a rudely manner "we bring you a bigger portion so, thanks god for that!!!" such a weird conversation.... Finally, I don't know why no body trained those guys, which they were in hurry to take all the things from your table to ending it up! I really upset from this restaurant and never ever go there. It is so how deception. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Excellent! Whether or not you are a fan of high quality food, you must try Kakh. There are not many good quality Persian restaurants in Vancouver so this one stands out. Wonderful flavours. The owner himself is very kind and gracious. A must try!

Finest Persian dining experience I’ve had in Vancouver since I have arrived 3 years. The truth is, I tried this place twice a while back before it had its “re-opening” and I was really disappointed by the experience. The food was often briskly prepared, the kebab was once a little undercooked and I found the staff aloof. Since its reopening under new management, it has been a 5-star experience. You can tell they have completely re-sourced their fresh ingredient suppliers. Their kebabs now are what i found to be the BEST KEBABS IN VANCOUVER. Their staff seemed eager, motivated and are friendly than your friendliest Canadian. The architecture is beautiful and the big open dining room gives a convivial feel reminiscent of big family christmas diners (or not, up to you). And music is adapted to the occasion with versatile, DJ-like Live Bands that adapt to the crowd and create a bustling, engaging atmosphere. I will be here every weekend. Best, Sacha 5/5 restaurant A little more expensive than what my preconceived notions were, but all that drastically changed by the time I walked out the restaurant.

Not gonna lie, I was a skeptic to try this place but the new management under KAKH has done a superb job. I tried a few of the cocktails, both of them were strong, well balanced and unique. The featured Cajun chicken sandwich was super tender and juicy. The cheesecake was the highlight though. Absolutely fantastic. This restaurant has high quality delicious options for everyone, not just a Persian menu. Staff were also amazing and accommodating. Would definitely be coming back here

My main problem is with the management.The manager welcomes couple of tables in front and totally ignores the rest.For the food ,the Authentic menu is fine ,however the international menu lacks quality and it is way too pricy. After you responded to my review I should say that I did not want to give more details , clearly for your own sake , but now you make me be more clear; As you certainly know my problem was not wearing a mask! You were selective and while some people , not only were not wearing their masks when dancing ,they were not even at their own tables , you asked others to stay at their own tables and wear a mask.As a manager you still can not see the problem, you did not see it when I told you the first time or the second time , and now you are trying to use this against me ,not knowing that google allowes you to edit your review, this is too bad for a manager! This is a nice restaurant and we need places like this with a good management, please do not ruin it for us!

Kakh is not fine dining by any definition of the term. Though the kabob itself is quite good, it is incredibly overpriced and there a million better places on the North Shore. On top of this there are a lot of little things that are not very well done. A lot of the cutlery and decor still bears the name of the former restaurant (Shandiez). There are several food options that are very poorly done comparitively and don't belong at a Persian restaurant (Cheeseburgers and buffalo wings?) and a minestroni soup that very likely came out of a can. Live, loud music and bellydancing is fine and good but, combined with everything else it seems ironic that they call themselves "Fine Dining" when places like Rumi and Khagan do it much better at a lower price.

If your looking for a really fine Persian dining and high food quality you should try this place. We ordered shishlik and loghme kabab and both were the best ones we tried in whole Canada! And I’m from Toronto.

We tried this place after their rebranding and the food is to die for!!! The kebabs are so juicy and delicious and the rice is a absolutely amazing. The service is also very good and the ladies working there are very polite and happy. We really enjoyed our time there and we will definitely come back! If anyone wants a great Persian food, this place is where they should go!

Restaurant is quite a rip off. The food quality is average at best and they charge almost twice as much for their food compared to a regular Persian restaurant. If the food was something extraordinary or the service was anything above average maybe it would have justified the crazy high price but honestly it is a very average restaurant.. I think they won’t survive given the quality of the service and food..

I had my birthday dinner with many guests at Kakh recently. We all were treated the best and everything was organized perfectly! Many thanks to Vesal! She was in charge of everything and all was perfect. Decoration for my birthday, table, food and attention to our needs and requests were all perfect. Price is pretty fair and good based on quality and portion. Again I thank Vesal for taking care of whatever we planned for my birthday.

The lamb and chicken were wonderful but the rice was over cooked and the berberies (zereshk) was literally black and cold. We would go back but hope the food would be improved.

I was here with a group of friends for an early super. I ordered Bakhtiari Kebab and vegetable soup and cucumber yogurt ; the kebab wa one of the best that I had in Vancouver, the chicken was so tender and juicy unlike most of the checen kebabs that are dry! The beef kebab was tasty as well. The vegetable soup was ok. I tasted Kashkebademjan that my friend has ordered and it was awesome! It was topped with a lot of crispy fried onion that I love! The staff were very caring and polite. The only reason that I am giving a 3 start is that the washrooms were super dirty! Paper towels were everywhere and the entire thing was very dirty! Edit: changed to 5 start The second time that we went there everything was clean.

Hi there As a customer when you going to a restaurant you demand to get nice service and whatever you ordered they bring it for . I get there on an about 3 pm got my order around 3:35 , up to now that is fine , it get to 4:05 pm that I had my dish, on the side of my dish I ordered salad That I never got it and asked for hot water and lemon almost asked 3 times from the 2 servers to get that. I dont blame the servers because poor guys they needed to serve that huge saloon . My oncern is to the management , you need to have more servers . Whoever is the chef , his doing phenomena but you getting poor service. Thanks

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool, the staff are really knowledgeable they make you feel welcomed, you could tell maintain a great customer service is their number one priority. Food is amazing there . It is unbelievable how they can cook and serve such a great food . You can find all Iranian classic food plus some international food to match everyone’s taste . I highly recommend this Resturant especially on weekends as they always have live music on weekend which make the atmosphere awesome and take your mind off a long week on hard work.

One of poorest customer service I have seen. We ordered 5 Lager and it took them 15 min. They charged $20 per person and forced us "FORCED" us to order food. They included 15% tip on the bill without asking me whether I was happy with that. Never go back and don't recommend it to my Persian community and Canadian friends.

It was my first time there, last night and I never go there again, I faced with a couple issues what I have to gave them 1star rating: 1_Pricy restuarant, food prices were almost 30% more expensive than other restaurants 2_ sound system was terrible and too loud music, we changed our table and get a place far from the speakers as much as we could. 3_ our bill was included gratuity despite we were group of 6 adults and 2 kids what they didn't mentioned it so we also paid 20% tip, it increased around 40% our bill amount. And all of these was separate from the entrance fee ( it was $10 when we reserved the table but they took $15) we paid, tax was added on all of them, so they left me no choice We order Loghme and juje and beer and our bill was $130 ????

I went to Kakh back when they had a Persian Singer (Morteza), and all I could say is as a manager of an Italian Restaurant, I was very pleased and delightfully surprised of how everything was handled, from the food quality all the way to service and how attentive waiters and waitresses were, which unfortunately sometimes lacking in some (Persian) restaurant!!! Their Kanan Loghmeh was amazing as well as the Vaziri and Mast o Mosir... Really recommend. Cheers

No amount of Stars would express the fine experience I had today!!! After a hard day at work that was what I needed!! Walked into a fine dinner ! Red carpet entrance! etc.. resonated the name “Kakh” for those my English friend that means Castle Yes you are about to get spoiled !! Looked at the menu and asked about the Kabob Soltsni on how fine it was? The gentleman took his time explained all about the measure and pride that they take to find the absolute prim Angus Beef from Alberta !! I had to have it! Words can not explain the pleasure that I had when I took the first bite !!! I never had kabobs like that for past 30 somewhat years after I left home!! Nostalgic reminders of good old days as my uncle used to prepare kabobs fresh soon after meat was prepped!! I totally recommend this to anyone who wants to be treated like ROYALS. Thank you KAKH !!

Food was good but too expensive, even more pricy than their website!! Music was SO unnecessary loud which can cause health problem. We asked them to reduce the volume, but they ignored us. Service was slow and our food came very late. I don't recommend this place, but if you want to go be aware that you are going to pay $32 for vaziri before tip and $60 plus for soltani; and on Saturdays you must pay $15 for entrance. By the way staff were friendly and tried to do the best, but I believe main problem is the management. PS:Could you please explain why I paid $4.68 for Gratuity? Never seen this in any restaurant in Vancouver!! PS2: As you know we are a group of people who know each other, I asked them and everyone in the restaurant paid that fee, even people in the solo table, so that was NOT FAIR. This place is a rip-off , please be aware . We got charged 30$ entrance (60$) for two which nobody disclosed it to us upon entering the restaurant. And on top of that they charged me 21,87$ mandatory Tip (giving tip supposed to be optional) . Overall it was a bad dine in experience with their loud music. They charged me 147,29$ for an average dinner for two.
