REVIEWS OF Indian Fusion Restaurant IN North Vancouver

Olessia Bourgart

I would have to say, one of the best casual Indian restaurants I have been to. ????

Rod Evanenko

Such an amazing place!! Food is so tasty, service is excellent and atmosphere is pretty good. Huge menu with lots of variety: chicken, lamb & vegetarian dishes. Definitely get the Garlic Naan, so so good. Rice portion is large enough for 2-3 people. Such a great place, been here twice and love it even more!

Elina Goldin

This has been my favourite restaurant since 2011. I have gone to so many other places to try to convince myself that something closer to my house can possibly be good enough. But nothing comes close to the overall positive experience we have each time we go here. It is family run, which makes it cozy, but the FOOD gets me every time. Well done Shawn and family, you guys are awesome!

Faad Sub

I ordered paneer pakora today, those were not fresh.seems they made those week ago.

Shim

Lived in India for 10 years and this is hands down the best Indian food I've had in Canada. Service was good, food is incredible, 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Steph Calvert

Would likely visit it again, the entire process of ordering over the phone, picking up, and paying the bill was easy too. The food we received was all grade A ingredients and the portions were plentiful, each dish was also unique from each other and not a lot of "repeating dish ingredients" you see in many Indian restaurants.

Celine Yan

My pal and I ordered the medium spicy ‘thali’ lunch special: one vegetarian and one non-veg. Service was excellent and the portions were large. However the taste was mediocre: bland and both vegetarian and chicken had the same curry, with little or no ‘Garam masaala’. I’ve observed that the high google reviews are by non-Indians who don’t really understand the complex flavour profiles of Indian food… the Indians who cook and know this food well gave it low reviews. I‘ve heard the tandoori is good. May make a second visit to try that…. Or go to authentic Indian restaurants on Fraser street.

Erica Vanloon

An exceptional restaurant. Unassuming, modest in appearance but the food is out of this world. Fantastic serving staff - dine in and receive quick, friendly service despite the steady stream of takeout. It is remarkable how much business this place does - the kitchen puts out an incredible volume of food. Locals line up to pick up their takeout which means that everything that comes out of the kitchen is fresh. The best restaurant I have ever eaten at on the North Shore.

The Lamb Bombay Curry was fantastic and moderately spicy. Butter Chicken, Palak Panner and Dal Makhani were also great. The Garlic Naan, Plain Naan and Roti were fresh and delicious. A bowl of steamed rice may also be good choice as side dish. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes. My friends and I normally spend less than $20 per person (including taxes and tips), have lots of great food and always come back home with half the food packed up. This is apparently a family business and the atmosphere is very casual and welcoming to families and small groups of friends. They don't accept reservations and there might be a 20 - 25min wait on the busiest times, but don't give up. It's worth waiting! The ventilation could certainly be improved.

Carl Steffens

Our families favorite take out spot. Consistently the best tasting Indian food menu and friendliest service in North Vancouver. Love It❤️

Ian Cruse

I began patronizing Indian Fusion a few months ago and have enjoyed the food. Today not so much. I ordered the Butter Chicken lunch special take-away meal. There were only two very small pieces of chicken in the entire dish. That is less than an ounce of meat. The flavour of the meal is excellent and I do not expect a 7 course meal for $10 bucks but today's disappointment means I'll try the competition next time..

I wasn’t a fan of indian cuisine until I visited this one! Wow! I had a grill mix and loved the lamb and prawn, and also tasted a friend’s I think it was cashew curry, and it was amazing. A nice interior, as well. Really recommend.

Arin Zandbergen

One of the best Indian food restaurants in Metro Van. Thank you.

Laura Feenie

Ordered food for take out and never had food which was totally different than ordered. Dishes ordered were not with appropriate taste. Seems like cook didn’t know the recipes and had different ingredients in the dishes. Not at all satisfied with the food.

Veronica Shields

Flavourful Indian food. I ordered the Rogan Josh with lamb, medium spicy and they got it right. Friendly and fast service.

bogdalini

Our favourite Indian restaurant on the North Shore. Food is great, staff are always super friendly. It gets busy Friday nights so plan ahead. Great for takeout, delivery (use their website to order) or dine-in. Highly recommended!

Sarah R

One of the best places I say to try Indian food. Very neat and clean place. Just don't get trapped in the washroom as it's so tight and small space.

Alexandre Georges

This restaurant has continually been my favourite in the entire lower mainland since it opened. The food is consistently amazing and the service staff are friendly and personable. Currently doing take out only, but they're highly efficient and the online ordering is a breeze! Makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Mandy Green

this is the BEST restaurant in Lonsdale!!! you guys must try to Spinach nann, please!!! (+ LASSI mango & sweet) SO GOOD????????????????

TE Alba B

One of the best Indian cuisine restaurants around. Amazing family owned, friendly staff. Only missing 1 star is because of the lack of parking. It can take longer sometimes to find parking than to wait for your food. Maybe have a car pick up in the back of the restaurant. Like a drive through. Customer calls that they arrived, and food is brought out. I'd tip for that. :)

Anish Doshi

Well priced menu, good value. Lamb palak was delicious, but vindaloo disappointing. A busy place, reservations recommended.

Laine Smith

An absolute must for lovers of this cuisine. Best on the North Shore.

Jerry Grootveld

Fantastic service that truly went above and beyond. There was a mix-up with my take-out order I picked up 15 minutes before the restaurant closed, and I received someone else's order. When I called back, it was already 10 minutes past the time the restaurant closed but they were already aware of the error and were apologetic and offered to deliver the correct items to my house! The waitress who arrived to deliver the items was very friendly and professional. The staff at this restaurant (especially the waitress that took my call and delivered my food) are fantastic, and I will definitely visit this restaurant again for their amazing food and exceptional service.

Stuart Colcleugh

We ordered paneer tikka, not on menu but they prepared as vegetarian choice. It was excellent. Great food and excellent hospitality. It did take some time to prepare our off menu item. We did not feel bloating or other issues that you feel after you eat in US Indian restaurants.

Caiden Lee

Wonderful indian food. Highly recommend the Vindaloo although itnis VERY spicy but very good. The paneer bhaji dish was very good too! Small but quaint restaurant. Parking not always readily available but plenty across the street.

Gale Leitch

Amazing place! Unbelievable food taste, fresh and colorful. By far the best Indian place on North Shore! Huge portion sizes on all dishes ( Be careful the “dinner” items don’t come with rice, but if you didn’t know or forgot to order, the team will get them ready for you in a rush!) Amazing service. It’s a must try place, dine in or takeout, you will not be disappointed!

Jeff Louie

Best Indian food in the lower mainland hands down!! Their portions are great, filled right to the top. I only hope they stick to what they have been doing right and do not change, please do not change! I order here at-least twice a week. Try the Lamb Tikka Masala and Palak Chicken curries - my absolute fav!

Joel Extra

I haven't had a chance to go to this restaurant but I ordered online and it was Fabulous, tasty and big portion. Highly recommended

Martin R

Had fried cod, lamb curry and cashew sauce lamb. It was so amazing! Favourite Nann was the spinach one! Would definitely go back! The price is so fair for the value of the food too!

Emily L

I'm writing this review because 5-7 years ago, I was convinced that this was the best Indian restaurant in the Lower Mainland. Indeed, individually I treated all of my friends to dinner there. I've spent $$$ there. But now, sadly, it has been my recent experience with food delivered from Indian Fusion over the past few months that its sauces lack consistent quality. Sometimes the sauces are too runny, as in a recent order of butter chicken. The kind of "runny" that results from the heating up of frozen food. Sometimes they are too oily, as in a recent order of Lamb Saag where a lot of oil was floating on top of the sauce. And the naan isn't the same as it was 5-7 years ago. Now it is thick and almost impossible to tear apart. What happened? I hope that Indian Fusion's management reads this because I notice the downward turn of quality in its food in the past few years. I absolutely will not be ordering again from Indian Fusion. I hope this review serves as a "wake-up call" to Indian Fusion.

Leo Augusto

Great food. Tastes best dining in but given the Covid situation, take-out will have to do. Food is great, and portions are generous.

Prad “North Star” Z

Salt and pepper fish filet keeps us coming back for more. Simply Yumilucios. Coma and taste it!

Andrew

Delicious! The price is a bit higher, but definitely worth in my opinion. The front counter was backed up with take out orders and took awhile to get seated. After that, no issues at all. Ordered the sampler, butter chicken, lamb korma and lamb. Had enough leftovers for next days lunch. Would recommend.

Martin Vondruska

First time dining in at Indian Fusion. Great curry! I chose the lamb Vindaloo - very spicy! The restaurant is modern and clean with great service.

Dasha Postnikova

amazing food, lovely family. LAMB KORMA! :)

Kayla

Good portions, great food. The korma is the best I've had anywhere, wonderfully cashew based. All the other dishes I've tried are delicious, too. I prefer eating in the restaurant just a little more than take out, but both are very good. Go with a group of friends and order a range of flavours, sample them all - you'll be happy!

Doug Gordon

Terrible service New Years Eve. I was told my food would be ready for pick up in one hour. I called one hour after I ordered and was told it would be 15 more minutes, now almost two hours later my food is still not ready. I wish they would have just been honest about the delay from the start instead of giving priority to Skip the Dishes!

Keishi Asai

Best Indian food on the North Shore guaranteed. Try the lamb korma and Garlic Naan, you will not be disappointed

Jurek “Jerzy” N.

I am surprised that we has such great local Indian food and their butter chicken is sooo delicious and my son is craving it every day! I am happy that we have a reasonable Indian food in North van.

Best Indian food I've ever had and super friendly service. We get take out or delivery and the portions are huge, always leftovers for the next day. Our order is always ready on time and piping hot. Highly recommend their paneer and their lamb.....super tender.

shivangi chauhan

Everything has been delicious, from appetizers to dessert. Best Indian restaurant in greater Vancouver!

Rita Huang

It was a very good experience. The atmosphere was great and the presentation of the food was also at match. Some of the food, however, was a bit over the line with taste. One dish I will highly recommend however, is the garlic and basil naan bread. An overall new experience. You can see a picture of the named naan bread below.

Siddharth Mehandiratta

Food... scrumptious - prepare your taste buds for ecstasy. Fish pakoras is unbelievable. Service... first rate - can't say enough about this point. Our server made this experience first class. Size of portions... massive. You will be taking a doggie bag home with you. It is busy. Make sure you reserve or be prepare to wait. They also do takeout.

This restaurant is a great find not too far off the highway. They offer an interesting twist on traditional Indian food with a subtle blend French flavouring. The place is clean and air conditioned with a patio as well. I recommend the Sampler appetizer with tandoori dipping sauce as you can try several different types of cuisine with your group or even have it as your meal!

Helen Edley

The best Indian food served by the friendliest team! We order 2-3 a month easy.

Kevin Liew

Absolute perfection! ???? love this local gem. Food is always fantastic, amazing service, worth the price!

rob hedley

I had their fish curry and a samosa. Its been at least 15 years since I tasted Indian food that good. The flavor of the samosa was well seasoned and outstanding and the creaminess, flavor and slight heat of the curry out of this world. Its my new "go to" for Indian food for sure!!!!

Every time we order from here (which is usually once every week or two) I think, “I should be leaving them a five star review”. Today as I eat my leftovers (because the portions are huge) I was thinking, “Is it possible that the food is even better the second day??” It is. We love the food and the service at Indian Fusion. We have tried other places on the North Shore and always come back.

Amin Sameni

Fantastic food and large portions! We shared the Panneer Tikka as a starter and it was a little spicy but so tasty!

Danielle Leung

This Restaurant Indian restaurant on Lonsdale street has spicy flavour full curry dishes pictured are 2 lamb curry’s I picked up for Dinner moderately priced really generous portion dishes.

Sebastian Mantilla

Excellent hidden gem in North Vancouver. The service was very friendly and impecable no matter almost full, and by Z-Shawn. We visited after movie for a nice bottle of wine and variety of pakoras, and we had a blast!!! Extremely delicious and generous quantities for the price. Our Californian Chardonnay with veggie, paneer , chicken and fish pakoras. All are delicious , but fish and chicken pakoras are to die for!!!

Happie Gill

I never taste the real spice of Indian biryani. I love their chicken biryani. Busy place too.

Christopher Manning

Great Quality and Quantity!! I like the place and the ambiance.. Definitely recommended this place to any and everyone to try their food. I'm sure everyone will like it. The server was kind and everything was spotless. Friendly staff and great food at a good price.! Price worth paying.. That's one of the thing's I had.

Karim Musani

Had a large selection for a family gathering and every item we ordered was delicious. The place was humming with pick-up orders and the staff were helpful and pleasant. The best Indian food I’ve ever had - everything seemed fresh and not oily, as some places are.

Claire Allen

We love this place. The food and the service is great!

Terry Summer

Disappointing. Ordered delivery today, 4 veggie dishes and 1 chicken dish. Everything was super oily, and lacking seasoning. The naans were tough, the pakoras were dripping in oil and soggy. And the chutneys were so watered down they almost had no flavor. I will not order from here again.

Jason Brawn

A place to try something new. Incredible Indian food and friendly staff.

Darrell Comeau

Food is always great so be aware that they will likely be busy - we always do takeout but the wait is never that long to pick up the order.

Ravi Krishna P

Amazing service, delicious food and generous portions. Perfect

Sunil Luhadia

Their butter chicken is very watered down almost like soup, not much flavour or spice. My friend felt the same about her curry dish. When they first opened the food was excellent but my last few recent experiences haven’t been good and I won’t be going back.

Luna G

This is my favourite restaurant in the lower mainland! I take friends and family here when they visit and order takeout when I feel like a treat. The chicken korma is to die for, the staff is always very friendly, and the lunch special is a great deal. 10 stars if I could!

Andrew Fernandes

Very Delicious. We went there for lunch. Chicken tikka and chicken curry was great. The only problem is that they wanted to close the restaurant at 2:30 PM so we were very rushed to finish our food.

Jeremy Golden

The taste and portions are good if you order anything but the lunch special. If you order lunch special, expect 2 small pieces of chicken (very tiny) so not worth it but if you order anything else, it should be good.

Caryl Bayle

Good food but delivery guy had some attitude even tho he was late SMH

Daniel McPhail

Delicious. A bit higher priced than other places, but very very flavourful. The staff are great. I've had many dishes here and all the spices and flavours are very distinct and wonderful. The only thing about this place that makes me laugh is the ridiculous phone they have for the restaurant..... The cord is SO LONG and staff have to climb around it all the time and it's just silly. Get a cordless phone! :p Other than the phone, this place is great.

Kimberlee Tyler

Delicious and well priced food. This is definitely our favourite Indian restaurant and one we'll continue to support. You deserve to do well!

Let me preface this review by stating I am not a fan of Indian cuisine overall. The vegetable samosas were large, packed with filling and decently flavoured. They were fried very well, cooked through yet not being oil saturated. The Chicken Tikka Masala was packed with flavour, with a nice thick sauce, large chunks of white meat chicken, and a lot of vegetables. This was very impressive on its own, and I was pleasantly surprised that the level of flavour was not tuned down to accommodate the patronage. However, the star of the show was easily the Malai Kofta. Unlike Chicken Tikka Masala, I have genuinely found no interest in Malai Kofta in the past, consuming it disappointingly from time to time. This was a whole other level. Even my partner, who has eaten it for her entire life, agreed that this was hands-down the best Malai Kofta she had ever eaten. The mix of the soft crumbly texture and the rich creamy sauce with a hint of nuttiness is to die for. And all these flavours are enhanced by the garlic naan whose higher than normal level of garlic is appreciated and basil adds another layer cutting through the fat and richness of the dishes aforementioned. Wait staff were attentive and courteous, although the interior is a tad bit cramped. Highly recommend this place.

Nasim permanent makeup

Amazing curry place. Their Chicken Palak and Butter Chicken are divine! The Pulao rice is cooked and spiced perfectly. The nann is flavored with garlic and basil and is immensely flavorful. Very well priced, I always have to order extra if I want any leftovers because my family loves it so much.

Chris Chanin

The food is amazing WHEN it finally arrives that’s if it dose not arrive cold !! Be prepared to to wait at least double stated delivery time and to have to re heat your food

Slipstream

One of the best Indian Food restaurant in Lower Mainland. Great choice of delicious meals. The Naan bread is heavenly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Awesome place to celebrate birthday with friends or family.

G R

One of many Indian restaurants in the area but this is the best. They get pretty busy during lunch but it's worth the wait. Lunch specials are incredible value, as is the rest of the menu. Staff are super friendly, the food comes quickly and hot.

Tazmin Shariff

This is my favourite Indian spot in all of Vancouver!! The portions are a good size. They have a great variety of Indian dishes and the flavours get me coming back every time! If you truly like spicy food, order the dishes “hot” because I feel like their spice level is catered to people who don’t usually eat spicy foods. When I was there the last time, my butter chicken was extra creamy for some reason and did not have any spice at all. When I notified the server, they were quick to fix this. Their samosas, aloo gobi and garlic naan were perfect my last visit. They have an outdoor patio space as well that is heated on cooler days. Highly recommend them!

Michael Swanson

The food here was amazing. We had a party of five and ordered many different dishes to share. Best Indian cuisine we have ever had! Our server was very friendly and made the entire dining experience memorable.

Jess Kara

Best Indian curry restaurant I have ever visited. Their Korma curry is a top-notch and my favorite. Unfortunately, this place is far from my home, so I do not have many chances to come here. However, this restaurant is something I always consider to visit when I have chances to go to North Vancouver. Highly recommended!

Peter Celler

This is definitely one of the best Indian cuisines you can find in the area Delicious food in good portions and reasonable price

Dante Hadlee

We’ve had lots of Indian in BC and ON and this place takes the cake. The butter chicken, shahi paneer and lamb rogan josh were absolutely delicious. Our new favourite go-to for Indian!

Emma Mrofchak

Delicious food. Fair pricing. Service can vary depending who is working.

Got a take out Meat lunch specials, today the chicken was not fresh at all and not at all tender. Also the roti was half cooked from the center.

There’s a lot of Indian food in town, and this is some of the very best for a casual takeout evening. Coming home to kits from the North Shore I’ll swing by just to pick up dinner and take it all the way back to Kits in spite of living a block or two from many other Indian restaurants. My only wish is that they’d use non-plastic containers for takeout. I’d order more often if they did.

parikhsa77

Best Indian restaurant in Vancouver. The place is little cozy, but food is awesome, nice ambiance, and price is cheap. This family owned place's staff are super friendly.

Ruby Kapoor

I've only really had takeout here. But seriously I've been craving for a true vindaloo and this place makes a vindaloo that truly knocks my socks off, and I didn't even need yogurt! Their curries are super flavourful and truly tastes like they are made individually. Will definitely be back!

Melissa Thompson

We love Indian fushion. Good value for the price.

Amazing restaurant. I have been coming here since they opened and have watched(and tasted) as they have changed and refined their menu. All the dishes have a wonderful depth of flavour. The staff are always very friendly and it has a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a group or as with my last visit, a romantic date. Keep it up guys! My favourite restaurant in north van!

Sina Tahmasbi

LOVE this place. Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in BC. Customer service is always great and the quality and flavour of their food is amazing. We always get their butter chicken, lamb korma and the mixed grill. SO good! Hard to enjoy other Indian restaurants once you've gone to this place to be honest lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ken Hwang

I was disappointed how New Years went down - it took us over 2 hours to get our order, of which over 1 hour was spent waiting outside in the rain on the sidewalk with a group of 20 other people also waiting for their food. Had they just told us it would have been 2 hours it would have been fine, but the staff kept saying 10-15 mins longer wait. Meanwhile they kept pumping out orders for Skip the Dishes which got priority over everyone else. Had we known that we would have just ordered online and not wasted our New Years waiting around. Accurate communication would have been appreciated.

roozbeh eslami

Love this place! It’s my go to Indian food on the north shore, portions are great, garlic naan is THE BEST. My favourite is the palak paneer and any korma

Ana

Ordered malai kofta .. disappointed 2times over. Kofta is hard as hell .. supposed to be soft.. Who puts vinegar in mutton dish .omg !!was sour ….so bad .. too bad guys !!.. not going back . Gave it 2 chances already

David L

Delicious classic Indian cuisine! The flavours were amazing, the dishes had a lot of sauce. (The sauce to meat ratio was superb!) We had the butter chicken, Chicken Tikki Masala and the Lamb Rogan Josh. It was out of this world! One of the best we’ve had. The garlic nan is very garlicky so be prepared, but you won’t be disappointed because it’s delicious. (maybe warn those you’ll be conversing with during and after dinner although they’ll probably be enjoying it as well so it’s all good! It’ll be a garlicky gathering) Service was great! The waitress we had was very friendly and sweet. The overall ambience is cozy and intimate. Would highly recommend this spot! We will definitely be back!!

Peter Evanow

Wonderful lunch with daughter and granddaughter. Lamb Bombay curry & meat platter w/rice was recommended and a great choice by lady owner. A Really nice restaurant and very clean. Will definitely go back again.

Lauren March

Amazing! First time ever having any type of Indian food and they were so helpful with picking out something that I would enjoy and it was delicious. Very friendly and inviting. And one of the best meals we’ve ever had.

Jess Daniels

Food is great and the management genuinely care about customer service.

Mike Morris

Food was awesome! I asked for extra spicy and they delivered! And overall everything tasted fresh. Definitely recommend
