We have the information of real people who consume the services of Anatoli Souvlaki (Restaurant) near North Vancouver (Canada).
At the present the business gets a score of 4.3 out of 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is very positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may think that the valuation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their opinion when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was spot on for what were were feeling! Even with the gloomy rainy weather outside, inside you were taken away to a fun a vibey villa, home away from home! Will definitely be back!!! The country lamb platter....wow ????????????
Really great food. The place was packed on a Tuesday. Get a reservation
Food delivery. Something has fundamentally changed here, the portions are alarmingly small vs. the higher prices - the $13 small salad is very tiny and insulting. We couldn't order the normal dishes we usually do and had to order a larger, more expensive platter and yet... the portions were smaller, the meat sizes small, rice portions small (it was enough for my spouse and slim pickings for me but a platter for two that wasn't enough for one?). We knew to order another skewer and yet we looked at each other and were like, "we've been ripped off". The normal portions, main dishes from here we are used to are gone. We know times are hard for restaurants, we want to give you a break, but please, please, please, you are a main staple of the North Shore, we love you and your dishes but alas, you've decreased the size vs. cost in such a way you are taking advantage of your customers... reconsider this new menu change - sadly, you've lost a very loyal customer until you do.
Food was incredible. Portions were big so we have left overs... Best Tzatsiki dip we have EVER tasted. Will definitely be back
Loved our visit. I normally get worried that a place will get spoiled by such an easy influx of customers and walk-by traffic, but they have stayed friendly and kept up the quality. They also serve Fat Tug! Our server also comp’d a shot of ouzo. Great calamari. We will be back.
Beautiful outdoor seating, very nice waiter and delicious food.
Food is great just wanted to highlight to anyone clicking the Menu option on Google that the picture is outdated. Prices are much higher today. Souvlaki is $25 not $14.
Came to Anatoli's with my partner this past weekend. The experience was below average. We had ordered appetizers and two mains, one for each of us (souvlaki + lentil salad). Shortly after the apps came + the souvlaki. 20 minutes passed and the server informs us that the lentil salad takes a while to make because it is made to order. 20 more minutes pass without the second main showing up. The server then comes to clear the table and only then realizes that the lentil salad never came. To sum this up my partner never received a main and basically had pita and dip for dinner. The server had no intentions of making things right and brushed it off as if this was a typical dining experience. Will not be returning.
Absolutely most amazing Greek food I have ever had hands down. The staff is wonderful and the food came out quick. I got the baked orzo and it was cooked to perfection. Would recommend this place to anyone.
really good food , nice place and ambience, expensive but if any culture that promotes "customer is wrong " I don't think it's worth it. There was a legit tiny piece of plastic in my food but waitress went to the kitchen to bring an onion peel to show its that, even though I could tell it wasn't that soft like a peel . It was a plastic I analyzed it couple times cus am uncomfortable complaining in general.
Hello. I have been at your establishment numerous times and every so often that I have visited at least one staff member has been rude or ignorant to me. The brunette battle axe Karen (the manager I think with long hair) was the last straw.. I will not be a patron of your restaurant again as I do not wish to be treated with disrespect and arrogance as it has ruined my dining experience and will be turning my friends away as well. I understand it’s the holiday time and people and people don’t want to be at their jobs but that is no excuse. EVERYONE DESERVES RESPECT, Not just regulars eating slop.
Decent food and interesting cocktails. Our appetizer took forever to come and then they brought out the appetizer at the same time as the main course so that was a bit annoying but otherwise a good place to eat with a nice patio and good waitstaff.
Love coming to this restaurant! Been coming here for many years. I love the authentic atmosphere and the incredible menu. Best dish is the Saganaki.... to... die... FOR!!! They have a really great wine menu as well.
Great food with a good authentic Greek taste. I love the fresh pita bread which keeps on coming! Staff are very friendly and the Greek taverna style setting is great. We found this place by accident a couple of years ago when we visited Vancouver and we recently visited again and made sure we visited this love again. You'll definitely not be hungry when you leave!
Was alright. Lighting was dim so you couldn't really see the food but everything was alright other than that. Food was average.
Food was good. Prices reasonable. Wush they would check for vaccinations.
Nice food & service.
I had the chicken souvlaki. Was pretty good but the price to value ratio was off. The price was pretty expensive for such a small portion. I also got the fried zucchini from their appetizer. That was pretty good. Just the price was definitely high for what I got.
Best Greek in town
Good quality greek food in a good location. The menu is pretty standard, but the execution is good. The atmosphere is homey and family friendly, and the staff is very accomodating. Would definitely visit again.
Service and food was (is) amazing. But...most of the classics are now gone with a menu change. Staples that have no business being removed from the menu have been removed. We routinely visited this place at least a few times a month (servers will know us by "no rice extra potatoes") but alas will need to find a new greek place as the key dishes are now gone, or need to be ordered in platters versus individual, or pieced together at a much greater cost. C'est la vie, times change I guess...
Just had the happy hour Lamb Shoulder with greek rice, potatoes and greek salad. It was the best we've tasted! By far the best Greek Food in town.
We went for happy hour on a Saturday and it was yummy. The pricing was really good. The calamari was tender but wished they fried it a minute longer. We got a pork souvlaki and it was full of flavour. The service was good. They have inside and outdoor seating.
Best Greek on the north shore by far! Extremely flavorful food. Quality ingredients and talented chefs. The halloumi veggie kabob is Devine. Excellent as take out ❤️
Their souvlaki platter is quite delicious and recommended. It's just that we noticed a mouse on the premise that made the rating go down.
Souvlaki was ordered rare and came like it had been warmed up after sitting around for a few hours! Small portions and overpriced.
Love the place , love the service , love the atmosphere.. and food was great .. I enjoyed my dinner time there ... thank you guys . ????

We had an amazing dine in experience here! Brittany was lovely and we’ll be coming back!
From the food to the service to staff...all 5 stars. It was our last night in Vancouver and it was our kids' birthday. Our server and the staff at Anatoli were so accommodating and wonderful. The food was delicious, from the lamb to the prawns. Thank you for the birthday singing. You guys rock!
They advertise that their lamb shoulder lunch comes with a side of Greek salad. That wasn't true, the food came with no side salad. Also their added side of pita was burnt. See photo. DO NOT EXPECT MUCH AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY.
I tried their platter and I was so satisfied with its quality. Server was also amazing.
Went in with a larger group and the service was fast and friendly. Delicious food. We started with a couple rounds of appetizers and beverages before starting in on the main courses. Fresh salads, beautifully grilled meats. My calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My partner's serving of moussaka was huge and tasted fantastic. There wasn't an unhappy diner in the bunch. I would absolutely eat here again.
Happy Hour fantastic....great service . Yasso!!
Came in late about a month ago 9pm Ish No problem at all, got seated promptly. Service with a smile. Food always awesome and consistent. They were also able to accomodate a meal request easily. Staff there are genuinely appreciative of clients and it showed. Great chat skills. You know own when one leaves a healthy tip in appreciation of great experience and still feel it wasn't sufficient? That's how I felt this go around after being away for almost a year. From many visit. We are going more often now for sure. Please don't change a thing. Don't mess with perfection! Of course we are going back. It's obvious why they are a successful business for all these years. I miss seeing Anil's friendly face behind in the kitchen but food receipe are still awsome. Continued success Anatoli
Service
Wow... Been a very long time since at Anatoli for dinner.. Food, the service and all the staff were excellent and so friendly... We Will be back for sure...
I have been wanting to try this place for a while and tonight I ordered from Doordash. I am a huge saganaki fan and needed to try theirs. They have the most expensive saganaki at $16 but it must be amazing for that price. Their saganaki was the worst I have ever had. It is supposed to be crunchy not soggy as their was. Three of us tried it and none of us were impressed. The 3 dip was good and the pita was thinner but very tasty. I rate a greek place by the saganaki so will not be coming back.
Since they changed the menu, they came up with the "platter" thing for two people to share. The platter does not have a lot of food and is not good value for money. As much as I like their country lamb, I won't be coming here unless they change the menu back to what it was before. Picture attached is the country lamb platter for $35.5.
I've been here a few times and the food and vibes is always great. Love the service as well. One time we sat at a table which had a slight wobble, I never make anything of it, if it's really bothering me I usually just fold up a business card myself to fix the wobble. But our server came to introduce herself and noticed the slight wobble, pointed it out and proceeded to fix it. We didn't even ask her to, and I think that was one of the most considerate things a server has ever done proactively.
Excellent food and service. Location is prime. Restaurant has that authentic Greek feeling inside. Recommended ++
Overpriced and very bad quality, went there for a lunch in a group of 6, we got charged 18% for a tip, service was very bad. We didn’t get our orders on time. The one Davie is much better quality overall.
What a gem of Greek restaurants and what luck to stumble upon this place after 10 days travelling, on vacation and dining out every night! The food was excellent, authentic and delicious. My son and I came later in the evening close to closing and yet we were seated promptly and served by a lovely person, Brittany who gave us top notch service with so much warmth, friendliness and in depth knowledge of all items on their menu...Such a breath of fresh air, I can tell you! We shared the Paidakia Platter, grilled lamb chops that were fat, juicy and delicious. In fact they were the best paidakia I've eaten in a Greek restaurant for a long time and the price was amazingly reasonable. We started out with a dip combo and pita [their taramousalata is excellent!] and a bottle of their Sauvignon Blanc which was pleasantly drinkable compared with so many other white wine offerings elsewhere. I will dine here again on my return to Vancouver. Thank You Brittany for making our evening so nice!
Service
Looking for delicious Greek food? Look no further! This place is seriously amazing - my daughter had the lamb and I think that was our favourite - we also had the pork and shrimp, which were equally delicious - but the lamb was superb! Desserts were yummy - but this place really shines not only because of the food, but the ambiance is beautiful. One of the most beautiful restaurants in North Van.
Food portions are very small for take out.. 25$ meal looks like this.
Nice dinner on the patio. Service was good and the food was delicious. One of the best Greek salads I've had!
My husband and I with our baby boy went there on Saturday evening without having a reservation; well aware that it can be difficult to get a table. We politely asked the server “a table for two, please!“ and as soon as he approached his manager to confirm her body language and attitude towards us made clear that we were not welcomed. The lady manager said I only have one table and I WANT IT BACK BY 7:45! It is completely acceptable to walk over to your guests and apologise for not being able to accomodate their requests. It is NOT acceptable to be rude and make clear they are unwanted. For god’s sake, we were guests, not the other way round!!! Despite that we kept the positive attitude and decided to give this place a try banking on some good reviews I read! I wish we had turned back and went somewhere else. That ONLY “one table” was in front of a hot running fire place in the middle of the room! Is it even safe to put a table so close to an open fire place and offer it to a family with a very young child?! We asked our waitress to turn it off as we were melting there. I have to mention there were many other free tables that no one were sitting during our stay and they were still empty when we left. We ordered a Mezze platter (apparently $33, turned up to be $66 for 2, evidently a small foot note in the menu). It’s not even a fancy restaurant and prices are unreasonably high! There was basically nothing worthy to try as Greek food just a small skewer of meat with a big pile of store-made calamari and few more high carb stuff with big chunks of cucumber and tomato Greek style salad. We ended up with a bill over $100 for an appetizer platter and two drinks not even a main course! We left 20% tip for the nice polite folks waiting the tables professionally and the one star is for the lovely waitress that was nice and professional despite her manager.
Dinner
Pricey! I really like lamb shank! Very tender, Very different taste than the other Greek restaurants. My wife really liked the taste.
My family went here for dinner and we all love Greek and can be quite picky when it comes to the quality of our meals. Anatoli blew us away! We started with delicious appies, calamari, a dip taster and the chefs special octopus. Then we shared the dinner platter and the lamb was melt in your mouth incredible. To finish, not that we had room, we tried an authentic dessert with pistachios, thin pastry and whipping cream and even my picky step son dug in and wanted more. The servers were warm and welcoming and made us feel wanted and comfortable. Our server Britt told us all about the history of the building and the business and made a point to connect with my step son which was extra sweet. Thank you Anatoli Souvlaki for such a delicious meal and fun outing.
Only giving one star because thats the lowest I can give. Took our family downtown for a nice getaway. Saw good reveiws online for this restaurant so we decided to try it out. Ordered take away for a hefty price. Got back to our hotel and seen they forgot to give us cutlery and an extra tzatziki. Was also wondering why there was no pita bread with it. Called them and the waitor said there was no way he made a mistake because he packed it himself. And also informed us they don't give pitas with the meals. Would have been nice to know that when we were placing our order. Really surprising given the price of our meals. So we had to eat this expensive meal with our hands. Portions were small. Didn't include veggies at all in any of our meals besides a couple pieces of potato. Very disappointed with our experience.
Absolutely love this place! My parents incites to make the detour every time they come visit!! The BEST Greek food!!!
Best lamb in town in my opinion, hands down. Family run spot, large, friendly space, steps from the waterfront and mins from the seabus. Well worth the quick trip from downtown Vancouver for a little out of your ordinary spot to go to, scenic location, fun environment.
Tip: the larger lamb dish (farmer) is a better value for two people in both size and quality than the individual lamb medallions. The whole menu is fantastic, but in the few times I’ve gone back I’ve realized their bigger lamb dish, which is more expensive, is actually a better value as it can feed two with leftovers, AND is better prepared.
Wonderful outdoor Summer seating at the foot of Lonsdale with a great view out to the Inlet. An old North Van mainstay for a reason---service was friendly and professional, the menu choices varied and flavorful and the prices were reasonable.
The restaurant is good by itself. The staff is helpful. The food is delicious. What I didn't like - the portions are too small for such a price. I was also surprised that pita bread is not included in the price, as in other Greek restaurants.
Delicious food and big servings. One thing to note is many of the platters are for 2 people.
So happy this place has opened. We sat on the terrace, socially distancing and felt very safe. The nicest and sweetest staff. Excellent meat, excellent salad, and excellent wine. Don’t think twice, just come out here and support these lovely people.
Always amazing food, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. The manager Brittany was outstanding; so efficient, friendly and easy to talk to. True asset to your team!
Went with family and the food was amazing! And they had 40% off wine that night as well. We had a fabulous time. Would definitely recommend and will return for those prawns!
Worst Restaurant Experience. Stay away!
Beautiful place, food is not the best compared with other greek places, however overall is a good experience. Service is great. The only greek waiter is amazing!!
Had an incredible array of food for Happy hour! best spinach pie I’ve ever had in my life! Fantastic Greek salad, meat balls, baked feta and tzadiki! Thank you:)
Remember Orestes from the 80's? Well, you will be feelin' it still at Anatoli. Kitschy decor, quasi balcony and all your Greek favourites. Cosy, comfy place with a great nostalgic vibe. Good value, good food, good service and on weekend nights, the party is on!
Service
I’ve had better. Chicken was over cooked, pork flavourful but salty, lamb was good. Greek potatoes were very good as was the tzatziki
Amazing food Had the spankopita pie entree, suuuuper delicious Best Greek salad ever. Lemon potatoes- to die for! My Partner had steak & tiger prawn souvalki skewers- both delicious! Service was great! As I walked out, our server, another server, a host, a manager (or owner), and a cook/chef all said good bye and thank you- was a first for sure!! 100% will be back!!!!!!!!! 10/10.
My family and I have been a loyal Anatoli customer now for the past eight years. We have nothing but great things to say about this authentic greek restaurant. A few days ago, my wife and I discovered that there was a menu change (more a la carte style). At first, we were hesitant of the change, as we loved the souvlaki dishes! Having said this, the change was well worth it!!! Wife and I ordered the 4 skewer souvlaki platter and a side of greek salad! The food was BEYOND DELICIOUS! The beef tenderloin skewer is a new option that has been added! It was so tender and exceeded our expectation. The quality of the food has even better than before ! We are so pleased with the new menu changes, as it actually turns out to be cheaper and more portion/flexible to customize per customer! Well done! We will be going back again tomorrow! :)
Overpriced, probably because of an expensive location. My $18 Moussaka was a small.overdone square, obviously reheated, probably from frozen, and most problematically, had minimal eggplant (mostly zuchini) and a strange take on the seasoning. Service was the opposite of attentive despite relatively empty house and many staff.
Very very basic service Host brings warm water with warm glass Rice under cooked and was tasteless
My calamari was overcooked rubbery. Everything was just ok
Me and my husband were in Vancouver for the night and we were so excited to try this restaurant out as we both really love Greek food, we both ordered chicken souvlaki to go but when we got to our hotel room we soon found out that it’s chicken thighs on the kabob.... never in our LIFE have we had chicken thigh souvlakia it’s always been chicken breast, this was so depressing none of us ate it, it was so gross and fatty we definitely won’t be coming back here!! If you don’t mind fatty thigh meat then it would have been good... the spices were great on it but it was just gross meat, it would have been an amazing dish had it been white meat , everything else was good just chicken thigh kabobs not okay so with that I’m giving this 3 starts

We received incredible service, amazing food and a relaxing and private atmosphere. Our server's name was Graeme. Knows his stuff. I ordered the Chicken Marbella and my Girlfriend ordered the Salmon Kebob (and a few Disarrono on the rocks). I was blown away by the quality of the food. presentation was a 9/10, taste was 10/10 and it was on our table in under 8 minutes (im not making this up) from when we ordered. I will return everytime I visit Vancouver.
My favorite Greek restaurant on the north shore by far! Amazing atmosphere, incredible food, and reasonable prices for the quality. You really can't go wrong with this place no matter what you are getting but I highly recommend the Lamb Shank if it's available. By far the best Lamb Shank I can remember having in this lifetime. As would be expected the calamari is fantastic also. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out next time you want a great meal with a lovely atmosphere.
I love Anatoli Souvlaki. However, I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki on Saturday evening for my anniversary. Later that night I woke up in my hotel room at the Pinnacle hotel throwing up before my girlfriend called the ambulance to take me to the hospital. I spent 4 hours in the bathroom throwing up. When I called to talk to the manager tonight they were very defensive and denied that it could have been them as they were extremely busy
Great night with delicious food at this restaurant. highly recommended.
Meal type
Ordered 2 x chicken souvlaki via Doordash. Arrived cold. I understand thats not Anatolis fault. Decent flavour but very overpriced for what you get. Stingy amount of chicken.
Try it when you have plenty of time, it took like 40 min or more from ordering time to serving. Not so friendly servers, extra ordinarily on rush while restaurant was not that busy. Food was so, so. Prices are quite high comparing to service and quality of food.
The food is not bad but, and its a big but, I wish you would use a better quality products! Second time eating there (and definitely the last) and second time ending up with stomach ache. I dont think its a coincident (all the people who shared our order had the same problem) - I think that something is wrong here.
Very romantic, great service, food was good in consideration of the price. Great selection in a short menu, which I love.
Delicious food! We love coming here and a favourite Greek restaurant for us. The mezze platter for two is always a win... Especially the country lamb!
Super great family owned place. Been around for ever. Best greek food on the north shore hands down
Super friendly staff, tasty food and reasonable price. Moussaka was really delicious. :)
Was expecting something a lot better. Chicken was dry and prawns were over cooked. Didn’t even get pita bread. Rice and potatoes tasted like they were under a heat lamp for a good while before we were served. Wouldn’t say it was good value for the money.
Outstanding meal. The lamb and potatoes were cooked perfectly. The lamb was falling off the bone and extremely tender. The potatoes were crispy but not dried out in anyway. My meal was perfect. Try Alexi's Margarita!
Dinner
Great rack of lambs, but have had better souvlakis
Really enjoyed dinner here! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and it's super cozy.

Service was really good! Lots of great vegan options. Food was good and came quickly.
Great restaurant! Amazing service and food.
Take your money ELSEWHERE they say it’s happening often in the industry to have HAIR in the FOOD because of workers not being careful while working and prepping or serving the food - the exact words of Nevada the GENERAL MANAGER of the restaurant. RIDICULOUS!! We’ve spend over $80 for platter and sides that evening and that’s the answer we got on top of “you’re welcome to send a picture to office email”. After spending a lot of money there this is absolutely not something that I wanted to hear from a higher class type of restaurant. It’s a big no no! Of course it can happen but YOU OBVIOUSLY SHOULDN’T SAY IT TO THE CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE, YOU HAVE TO APOLOGIZE AND SEND A NEW ORDER IN OR GIVE CREDIT FOR NEXT TIME. They ask premium but seems like are not trained at all and messy.
The food is good but my low score is because they do not vaccinnation and tables are not properly spaced! Very bad citizenship behaviour.

Went with my girlfriend and we agreed this was one of the best meals we've had this year! Our server Georgia was extremely pleasant and professional. Truly delicious, would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thanks for the great experience, I love you.
Overall great service and the food is delicious. Deducted one star as I keep feeling that it's overpriced for what you get there, a Greek salad with some chicken shouldn't cost $26
Good service. Good food. Thank you.
My friend suggested this place. I love it and really enjoy the food and everything. We ordered a platter to share. It was a huge meal for two ladies and still had left over to take home. Food was great flavor and fresh, cooked to perfect! Service was great, will go back soon for sure.
Very generous portion and the country lamb was braised perfectly.
Last minute reservation for 10 adults, 2 children and two infants and they were able to fit us in!! Food was great, service was impeccable. Time from order to delivering to our table was 20 minutes with the appetizers delivered in 5 minutes after ordering. My daughter had the limb and I must confess that it was the best lamb I have ever had, tender and tasteful!
This is my favourite Greek restaurant. Everything is well seasoned. The calamari dinner was surprisingly generous.
Flavourful vegan options! An absolute must try.
Came here for dinner with some friends of ours. I'm not a big greek fan generally but the food here was fantastic. Everything tasted really good, I had a Chicken Souvlaki salad. Will return
Such friendly service. The food was so good and the happy hour prices and choices were perfect. Definitely will stop by again on my next trip to Vancouver!
Just ordered spanakopita and pastitio for delivery. Both dishes are so salty that I can't eat more than 2 bites. Other than this other ingredients taste great. Less salt on food is better than over salting.
Delicious food, wine, and excellent service.
Portions are a bit too small for a family with kids. Platter for $34 is ok but no pita or salad comes with it. Calamari for $23 is very bad deal. More like an appy
Great food Service is good Clean Popular spot The lamb is delightful as is their saganaki They offer carb-free substitution but charge an extra $2 which is unfortunate. Their potatoes are awesome though.
Consistently great food, good portions, great menu selection for gluten free, and really wholesome personalities for the staff. Nice to see people who like coming to work.
This place is really nice and cozy with good staff. Farley she was so kind and helpful for choosing our dinner. Dinner was delicious.
Highly recommend to dine in the deck when the weather is dry, as the vibe of the neighborhood added more spices to the dinner. The country lamb matched perfectly with the red wine of the day. Oh… you want some dessert other than baklava, to EKMEK ????
Haven't been here in a while but was looking forward to it as we typically have had good food. Service was decent but the food and change in menu was disappointing. Everything now is a la carte which, when I looked at what it would cost to have what I would normally order, was astronomically high. You can split some of the sides to reduce the cost but you're in trouble if no one else in your group wants what you like. Also had to ask for a dinner plate for my food as they only bring you the a la carte items in small dishes. Are you seriously supposed to eat out of those? Overall a disappointment and a drop in quality. Too bad.
Had the lamb with orzo pasta. The lamb was very tender and the sauce had good flavour. Service was pleasant. Sat on the patio which was nice on a sunny day. Great location by the water at Lonsdale Quay, and near the seabus.
Been here a couple of times did 2 souvlaki take outs today and was sadly dissapointed. Extremely poor portion sizes literally a few tbsp of rice and just so underwhelming for the price . Dissapointed and I think this was the last time.
Main reason for the lower star rating is they were not checking vaccine passports - I can't get behind that. Be part of the solution, not the problem. With that being said, the food is good although portions are quite small for the price.
Came here for my husbands birthday! We had the fried feta and tomatoes for an appetizer. So good! He ordered the Country Lamb which he said was fantastic! I had the prawn souvlaki. So tasty! Then the chocolate mousse for dessert. Service was great, staff were nice. Nice self distanced tables on the patio. Nice decor. Very enjoyable and very yummy food. I recommend this place if you want awesome Greek food! ????
not what it used to be. brought my uncle and dad there for lunch after not being there for 20 years. Paid $32 for 2 saganaki($16 each!). Thought it was expensive to begin with but with pita and loads of cheese thought it would be fine. Unfortunately what we got was small sized lukewarm cheese that was starting to harden and only enough pita for one order(are we rationing?). Servers were nice but stop asking people if there food is ok when they have their mouth full. Disappointing and since i was on a short break was not enough time to get something else. left hungry :)
We love going to this local restaurant with our friends and family. The service is always excellent and the food never disappoints. We usually order a couple of platters to share family style so we get to try a bit of everything. Can't go wrong with the souvlaki with endless pita! Can't wait to go back
Very disappointing dining experience. Service was awful from the get go. Then he proceeded to mess up both orders, served entrées before the appetizers arrived, then crowded the table with the appetizer orders. Food tepid, a bit bland, dried out moussaka and overpriced for the portion sizes. Seems like the only thing going for this place is location.
First time trying Anatoli Souvlaki! It was absolutely delicious! We happened to be there during Happy Hour so we tried a few appetizers (highly recommend the Baked Feta & Tomatoes with Pita). We also tried the souvlaki dinner (our sever recommended trying one chicken/one pork skewer).... it was amazing. These lemon potatoes were the best lemon potatoes we’ve ever had. They were very flavourful and the texture was perfect. Super crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. We will definitely be back! All the staff working were extremely friendly. The server we had was very helpful and had great suggestions on the menu. 5/5 stars for sure! ???? .... still thinking about those lemon potatoes!
Such a great experience, delicious food, cool atmosphere and Spierry was such a great server. 100% recommend!
First time we came by our rating was 4 stars but we decide to come back and try once again since we were in the area. This time around my rating is 5 stars even if it was chilly and raining outside on Sunday but the food really made up for the weather. The portions were bigger and more flavorful from the last time. Service is has been always consistent. This time around we both said " Wow this is delicious". Everything we ordered melted in our mouth! I had to rewrite a review only to be fair.
Came here around 11:30 for a Mother’s Day lunch and the experience was overall horrible. First, their oven somehow was broken so many baked dishes such as moussaka and spanakopita were unavailable (this removes my two favourite dishes as a vegetarian). The server did not provide an apology. During our meal, no servers came by to refill our water or check on us. Even when we asked for the bill, It took over 10minutes for them to come back with the machine so we could pay and leave. The food that we ordered (lamb, calamari, veggie souvlaki, prawn souvlaki) was good but awful service all around. Good service can make up for bad food, but unfortunately good food can never make up for bad service. Will not be back! This experience was so disappointing.

Totally love this place. Calamari was crispy and delicious. Dolmates beefy and tasty. Soup tasted homemade, and the roast lamb was fall off the bone. Save room for Loukoumades and house made ice cream. Service was very hands on and helpful. The family pictures in the bathroom are too cute. We will be back.
The Mezze platter is AMAZING. Beyond expectations. Great customer service as well. The food is fresh and tastes amazing. Get the platter you will not be disappointed. Also the greek salad was beyond expectations! I have never left a review in my life and the quality of this food made me. 10/10 reccomend.
Great meal and value. We shared a platter and it was great for lunch, with some left over. Great drink specials and selections, cozy atmosphere. We'll be back for sure.
Very decent happy hour dishes. Friendly staff and great food! Definitely worth a try.
Poor service, incorrect order delivery, missed items, would not correct and deliver missed items paid for, would not refund items paid for and not delivered. Never order from here again. Sad service.
We have been told that it gonna take +20 minutes for us to get a table. 4 people standing in the cold for an hour, and then we hear they are taking the last order without ANYONE hesitates to tell us that they are closing. This is a new level of not caring about your customers!
Dining here is always a very pleasant experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Wait staff are friendly and helpful. The food is truly exceptional. I would strongly recommend one of the lamb dishes. Prices are reasonable, given food quality and portion size. This is one of the best Greek restaurants in town. Come hungry, leave satisfied!
This resto is one of the best Greek resto I’ve been to in Canada! Great service and man the food… drooooooling! Thank you, thank you!

By far the best calamari I have ever had. We ordered one of everything from the happy hour menu and it was all delicious. Top notch service with top notch food. Definetly worth a try.
Awesome, cozy interior, warm and welcoming. The traditional Greek soup is now my favourite. Best soup ever! Staff are friendly and efficient.
Increadable food, great atmosphere and amazing staff! Eddie, Georgia and Farley are top notch! Even the male belly dancer was great! What a great experience! A night to remember! Great job guys!
We had a recent staff dinner here and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the very first response to my initial email, Eddy was patient, professional and understood our group’s needs. He was open to all of the requests that I had and made thoughtful, accommodating suggestions. The night of the event, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff and sat at a spacious table. Our server could not have been more attentive; she checked in with me several times about the flow of our meal and gave lots of options and choices. The service was above and beyond what I would have expected for almost any group dining situation, let alone on what turned out to be a very busy night. The appetizers were great, and the entrées were amazing, particularly the lamb. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was incredible, as was the baklava. No one had to wait for anything, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Thank you for such a positive experience - we will definitely be back!
Great location by Lonsdale Quay and the newly developed waterfront , nice view . Service was fine , we sat on the deck which offers a great view of hustle and bustle.... The deciding factor in my never recommending this place to anyone is very one-sided , but I think it's terribly sad when you order Calamari in a Greek establishment and there isn't a single tentacle .... It leads me to believe that this is a factory breaded and frozen in a bag type thing ... I was deeply upset by this and thought it was a shame . The Saganaki was delicious tho, which is why I've given 3Stars and not 2...
Last night was our third time here since we moved toVancouver last year. It was an excellent meal as usual. The staff and chef are funny, responsive, and cheerful, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. What could be better better than this place. I love to be here again.
We ordered $34 sulovoki takeout platter, there was no bread, rice quantity was not even enough for one person. Not recommended.
We came here to have dinner but the food literally had hair in it and the waitress took 30 minutes just get us a drink
Food is decent. Some things are overpriced for what they are, like 2 skewers of dry, bland souvlaki for $23 is not worth it. There are other, better Greek restaurants around.
Unhygienic sharing food.We used to always go there. Not worth it.Waiters no masks ridiculous!
I've been to this place a few times in the past and always had a good time. Last time was way below par. In particular, disappointed with their wine list. They used to sell the seven deadly zins for $50.00 (25 bucks at the liquor store). Its now off the menu.. Ordered a Malbec that I didn't recognize for $60.00. It was awful, and later realized that its sold at the liquor store for $12.50... I understand making money, but have a little more integrity in your products and pricing...
came to this place with 3 other friends for my birthday. Comfortable relaxing environment to enjoy a meal. Waiter gave us extra bread for our humous dip when we requested it but he didn't charge us. He was pretty good & atttentive even though we could tell he was a bit grumpy and didn't give us attitude. The humous dip was very good. I could lick the bowl. Would come back to this place again.
Thank you for letting me have my "Last Supper" within your establishment. Of the many times I have been here we have somehow gotten the exact same table everytime.... The Food, Service and Atmosphere is 100% Amazing. Thank you for your services and wonderful Food. Freedom is essential as much as your beautiful establishment. Once again thank you.
Great food prices and ambiance Our server was kind and very pleasant .Would definitely return .
Ordered calamari, spinakopita, keftedes, lamp skewers, ekmek and turkish coffee. Was delicious, portions are small to share for two but tasty.
Great food, beautiful venue. I've sat inside and outside and I've been happy in both. I've been impressed with snack visits and full meal dinner adventures (this visit was lunch, outside) - I do recommend this place to people who are heading down Lonsdale.
Very friendly staff, good service and lamb was delicious!
Good Greek food served fast (when we ordered there). Placed a pickup order around 5:30 for an early dinner. Said the order would be ready in 18 minutes, by the time I was in the car and at the restaurant 15 minutes later, the to go order was packed and ready, and hot when I got home. Food was amazing and I really appreciated that they use a medium thickness pita. Not the thin ones often served with shwarma, and not the thick ones often served at most Greek restaurants. Lamb was amazing, and the souvlaki was out of this world. Will be ordering again!
I have never been to this restaurant but can tell you how happy I met the owner. I had a flat tire and asked for his help as the bults where too tight to turn. He said without hesitation that he would help me. He went out of his way to drive to a garage to get this pipe because it was impossible to change the tire without it. He also told me a little story about how he came to Canada from Greece, he should be very proud of the man he has become in his ventures and voyage and his spirit to help others. If his restaurant is anything like his personality and history I bet it is amazing. Thank you Thomas for your help today. It was greatly appreciated!
A lovely place by the Lonsdale Quay, it is. Put in some helpful staff makes food selection a breeze. Outside patio is friendly. Inside great decor and good open space awaits. Come for a good Greek time, with empty stomachs ????????
+food +Service +Ambience Had a lunch date here during mother's day. We reserved since it was mother's day (and I was sure they'd be full). First thing I noticed after entering was the cozy ambience, which was just perfect for a Sunday afternoon date. We ordered Dolmathes for appi, and then the Island Platter for two, for which I'd recommend if you're going on a date. That came with a soup for each of us, my partner got the Avgolemeno and I had the Fasolada. The platter also came with; Greek Salad, rice, potatoes, hummus and tzatziki, and spinakopita, then you have the choice of what protein you want, we chose the calamari with salmon and prawn. Island Platter was more than enough for the two of us, food was all lovely and delicious but it was a struggle to finish we eat, plus we had to leave some room for dessert, in which we had the Baklava (that was lovely, sweet, not too dry, and not swimming in honey either. Just perfect.) It was my first time having most of those Greek food, while my partner on the other hand grew up eating them. He said the Dolmathes were just like how his mum makes them, and he's been craving to have the baklava. The service is good too, I believe our server's name is Mira(?) She was informative (I'll try the lamb she suggested next time) and patient (it was our first time there and we didn't know we had a choice for the soup and protein for the platter). I'll be coming back for sure. ^-^
Had a great experience at Anatoli this evening. Great service, tasty food, and great ambience. Spierry was our server and he went above and beyond to provide top notch customer service and made sure we were taken care of! We will definitely be back again!
The Food was amazing!! I Split the souvlaki platter and a Greek salad. Probably the best Greek restaurant I’ve ever been to in the lower mainland. Atmosphere was great, service was very attentive. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Love it always! Great atmosphere great food and great service!!! I have been there 3 times in the last little bit with the same 2 people and weirdly enough we have gotten the same table all three times. Highly recommend a Saturday night dinner as they have dinner and entertainment.
Excellent option of Greek food in Great Vancouver area. From appetiser to dessert, good taste
Great food, great service. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere inside and a small patio outside.
Their lunch menu is weak compared to their dinner menu. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for lunch time. Soup are too watery to my taste and bowls are half full. And the rice pilaf is not their forte (sad, it's a greek restaurant, but the rice is glutinous and tasteless). But they serve generous portions, everything is good (ranging from salads to tzatziki, souvlakis and lamb chops), menu is affordable and, to my knowledge, there's not other place in North Van where you can drink the famous Mythos beer but at Anatoli. I can't say I won't go again because to be honest I like the place very much
We like this place. However, my recent experience was terrible. I ordered the calamari dinner and it was cold, not crispy like usuall and was old. I could tell that they had pre fried the calamari and they just warmed it up when I ordered it. It was served 2 minutes after I ordered it. How is that possible? I also ordered their country lamb which I always order and it was cold and full of lamb fat. There was more lamb fat that lamb meat on that shoulder piece. Common Anotoli, what a disappointment. I only go back there again if they offer me the same meal at no charge. Spent $75 for a terrible food and a beer.
Visited on Christmas Eve. Good tasting food but relatively expensive for the environment and food. The waiter wasn’t very friendly either and the food took forever to come.
We had a lovely night at Anatoli Souvlaki. While the food is superb, it was the service that made our night! We met the new general manager and he along with Speery, our waiter, and the busgirl we’re all attentive, knowledgeable, and very fun to talk with. However, it was extremely loud and uncomfortably warm.
My favorite local Greek restaurant! Their restaurant decor reminds me of being back in Greece. I have been for many occasion, family gatherings, birthdays, date nights, never had a bad experience. Consistent quality food and I love a good glass of retsina-What I always look forward to! The share platter is great, tons of food! Live music just adds to the ambiance. Overall a great place, with quality servers!
Pro: Nice authentic Greek cuisine with friendly staff. Con: I was dissapointed in the pita that came with my meal. Ive eaten a lot of pitas and this one was notably dry and difficult to chew. Reminded me of the boring, stale supermarket ones. For how easy it is to make fresh pita I don't understand why they would serve stale old ones.
This place covers all the bases - amazing food, atmosphere and service. If you're looking for something that feels authentically Greek in Vancouver it's the place to be. They often have live music too! The portions are quite large and they're really great at providing and refilling your table's supply of pita. Very much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Homey authentic Greek atmosphere with delicious food. We ordered the lamb shanks and moussaka. Both were tasty and bountiful. The spanakopita was the best we’ve tasted anywhere (except in our own kitchen.) Spiery was our kind and timely server.
We had very good time there! Their sangria is so good as well as food. We also very appreciate the fact that EVERYONE is welcome at this lovely place. Please keep doing what you’re doing as you’re doing it great! <3 *THANK YOU*
We recently moved to vancouver and one of my greatest pleasures so far has been ordering food from here. The Greek potatoes are out of this world, and the baked feta is delicious. The hummus is also the best I’ve ever found in both the US and UK. Looking forward to dining in in person, post pandemic!
Had an amazing time at Anatoli recently! Got to sit on their cute back patio and enjoy a delicious bottle of Tinhorn Creek Chardonnay. The decor is adorable, the food ridiculously delicious and the staff were all knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will be back to this family owned North Shore gem
Great food.. great ambiance.. staff very friendly..can host bigger family or friends event
My husband and me were in Anatoli restaurant in North Vancouver for the first time on Thu. Sep.08, 2016 and we want to say thank you to Aleia for her great and professional service. It was a joy to see her smiling face as she brought us the meal and appreciate her for the wonderful recommendations. We enjoyed the Greek atmosphere, drink, meal and desert. Everything was great.
Decor hasn't changed since the 80s which is just fine. The food here is the star and it's my favorite souvlaki anywhere in the Lower Mainland. They seem to have dialed down the garlic in the tzatziki and humous in the last few years, which is both a good and bad thing. The mixed sampler platter for 2+ people is phenomenal, just an absurd amount of food, so don't go for a starter if you're going to give it a go. Note that since the lot behind the restaurant was closed, parking is a challenge, so allow a little extra time to find street parking or find a spot in a nearby lot.
The service was good. The food was average. We shared the $30/pp platter and were disappointed. Mostly potatoes and Greek salad and only one lamb skewer so no real value in the platter. What was delicious was the hummus. Might be the best I've had.
Dine in
Just drank at bar - great place for drinks!
Really big on the inside seats alot. Good service, good food. Had the calamari (really good), pidakIa (5 lambchops some parts were really fatty and chewy made it unappetizing), lamb souvlaki. The rice portion of the each dish was okay.
Love this place it's by far one of the top Greek places in Vancouver. There is only bbn one other restaurant in north shore that is on the same level and that's Mythos. What I really enjoy about this place in addition to the food and service is the authentic Greek live music that they have. Very nice touch.
Excellent location . plenty of free parking But limited Excellent service funny server and the lunch is amazing I have been here twice and both times I am very pleased with the service and my expectations are extremely high , if I did not like it I would not have brought my family here and My Dad has 500,000 followers on Trip Advisor and he is going to giving an excellent review. The negative ratings are giving a deep impact to this exceptional family run real baked fire oven roasted pizza oven beautiful restaurant excellent bathroom service and ask about the pictures on the wall it's family take a minute and learn a bit more not just the delicious food ... I recommend everything as we have almost have had everything on the menu. The staff are polite and happy to be there!! Come one people give them a chance to bloom.. Every business has quirks.. Let's be positive and set them up for success!! Well worth the wait. . Professional staff Friendly service Wait times are high on weekends. $$$ moderate to expensive but the food is incredible the drinks great selection . Make a reservation Customers are all treated professionally and in a timely manner . I am always thrilled to find a good deal and here you will. Take your time look carefully as there are a few name brands and the staff is helpful and donations are always excepted just remember to follow the rules and take the time to read their policies and if returning an item again ask read look. This works if you just ask. Helpful pleasant people... I like that there is something new and exciting ro try and it makes it a lot more enjoyable when staff are friendly and professional and take care of there guests, customers ..
We made this reservation in advance as we were visiting in North Vancouver for a special occasion. We were very surprised at the narrow table spacing. Our table for two was an added in table right next to a table of four. The gentleman behind me and I were literally back to back. As the restaurant was full at that time they weren’t able to move us. The restaurant was incredibly noisy and it was difficult to have a conversation with my husband. We did like the tapas style dinner entrée options. The portion size was adequate and my moussaka was very flavorful. Our meals came quickly and were very warm. We found the wine menu quite expensive for what they were offering. It felt like a very rushed in an out dining experience and was not enjoyable. Perhaps a lunch experience might be a better option at this restaurant. With so many other restaurant options to choose from the Lonsdale area we won’t be returning and it’s not high on my recommendation list. On weekends be prepared for challenging parking.
A family friendly restaurant very close to Lonsdale Quay. The restaurant was very spacious which was nice since we had a stroller and was easy to move around. The food was tasty, the skewer platter was a good size for 2 adults but probably not for 3. Overall, friendly staff and good food, we'd go here again.
We visited this place today and the service and food was absolutely amazing. Our waitstaff was friendly, helpful and the service was fast. The changes they made to the menu are great. We traveled to Grece, and around the world regularly before Covid 19, but this is the best Greek food anywhere outside Greece (and it well competes with places in Greece). Great work. Keep it up.
Decent, predictable Greek food, nothing outstanding but still tasty. Friendly staff, noisy atmosphere. Drinks were a highlight.
If I had to choose between watching my first born child take his/her first steps or eating a meal at Anatoli, I'd choose Anatolis without hesitation. Forget the 7 wonders of the world, add this one as the 8th. I can't fathom how 1 $4 highball can get a full grown man tanked. Not only that, but they gave us free humous. I'm in love and her name is Anatoli.
We really enjoyed our experience at Anatoli. The ambiance was warm and authenic. The servers were friendly and competent. The food was delicious. Good quality, good size portions and perfectly prepared. It's a bit pricey for Greek food but worth it.
My favorite spot for lunch or dinner in North Vancouver. Every dish I've ordered has been great with a nice mix on variety on the menu. Easy options for vegetarian or simple revisions. There is lots of seating and a very... Greek decor in colour and finishes. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming and helpful. A place to checkout and enjoy the patio when the weather's good, or a quick take out when you need a good meal without cooking time.
I really like it here. Food is great and atmosphere too. Love the new umbrellas on the patio. We went for happy hour and there's a great selection of my favourites. Definitely worth a try if you have never been.
My best friend and I have been going here for lunch for several months now as we work nearby. The servers and cooks alike make us always feel very welcome. We went here looking for a place to enjoy a quiet lunch that was affordable. We usually have the soup of the day or we share one entree between us and split the bill. All the staff is exceptional; however, we must give a special shout out to Nevada who goes above and beyond every time we visit. A few weeks ago when I had a cold she was thoughtful enough to give me the option of having hot water, lemon and honey. We feel cared for every visit. This kind of service is hard to find. Please try for lunch or appy hour after work. Enjoy!
Had a romantic dinner here with my boyfriend. Our table was lit by candle light, there was authentic Greek tunes, and we were seated beside the window (ambiance 10/10). We ordered calamari and the lamb souvlaki meal, it was delicious! We were pleased. The music was a little too loud for my liking at one point, but there was a belly dancer!! (So who cares). Check this place out!
Such a gorgeous restaurant with beautiful people there. Delectable foods, drinks and more. Thank you to all of you.
Went here for dinner during the summer, they have lots of patio seating with views of the bay and downtown Vancouver. Patio seating was full, but they let us sit by the window which was nice since there is no ac being it is Vancouver. Our server was very helpful and friendly, and was spot on refilling our water. Food was very good as well and the portion size was adequate although don't plan on having leftovers. If you are wanting Greek food this is the ppace to go!
My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience at this place! We went for a special occasion and the manager had written down by our reservation to give us free shots and dessert. Our server Britney was amazing, so friendly, gave us a great table and was very personable. Highly recommend this place not only for the food but for the experience as well!
Food is over rated, prices are too high. I received 1 olive in the Greek salad.. lamb solvaki was fatty, rice plain, calamari tasted like something you would buy in the frozen section at Costco.. will not be returning
Excellent dining experience. Our server Georgia was excellent. Very caring, helpful and knew the menu very well. Everything we ate was very good specially the octopus.
Superb food and service. Well worth the visit
It was last year when the pandemic announcements brought a lot of business to close their doors. After finishing a project that was pending to be completed, I found myself looking for a place to have lunch in the North vancouver area and I found myself in front of Anatoli Souvlaki Greek Restaurant on Lonsdale Ave. I had absolutely the best experience in their patio- having a Mythos and the most delicious chicken/prawns Souvlaki that I have ever tasted. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, I have been ordering their food or eating at their comfy patio every time i have the opportunity to be in the area. Anatoli Souvlaki is one those places that I’m always looking for a reason or an excuse to go to. Fantastic food & a great experience! Alberto
Nice place and tasty food. But the meal portion is way too small!
Food quality is poor. We ordered the roast lamb shoulder and the kalamari dinner. Lamb was okay but not worth the price. Kalamari was totally flavourless. We have tried several Greek restaurants around Vancouver and this was the worst kalamari we've eaten. The service was good though. I would not recommend this place.
Great service and awesome food. Had some live entertainment belly dancers inside. Had someone keeping waters topped off. A1.
We are long-time frequent customers of Anatoli. Therefore we were extremely disappointed when we showed up for our reservation and were told they were choosing not to follow the vaccine passport mandate. They were happily letting unvaccinated people into the restaurant and had zero regard for public safety. I will not be eating here again.
Great food and service. But they don't seem to be checking vaccine status properly.
We were in town for a hockey tournament and needed a quick bite for lunch in between games. We had the Salmon chowder to start and both had Calamari dinners. I have to agree with some other posts about not a single tentacle. In addition when walking in, I noticed the cooks had several plates already made up with the side dishes. I understand this concept if extremely busy, but traffic was fairly light and would have liked a freshly tossed Greek salad. The Calamari was cooked tender but the Chowder was not the freshest. I have had better Greek and why I am giving a 3 star. Service staff was very friendly
Food was excellent particularly the dolmathes and the souvlaki. Make sure to order the baklava for dessert - it's the perfect ending for your meal. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful.
Crazy awesome food. Staff is great, food comes fairly soon and nice and hot. Meat melts, potatoes are divine. Place is nice and cozy for an evening with friends. We tried multiple things because of a big group and devoured everything!
Rude staff and over priced menu. The bill at end of night did not match the prices on the menu. Looked like they double the drink prices on the bill. The waitresses were very pushy after they brought us our food and did not clear our table till they brought us the bill. The food was ok for canadianized Greek food, but not worth that price. My salad had mushrooms in it, which I did not know about,as I have allergies to them. From what the waitress describe the salad I didn't think to ask if mushrooms would be in my meal. Would never eat there again based on the pushy staff with the bill and over priced menu.
Was very disappointed with the fact that you have to buy all sides, I ordered moussaka, fully expected it to come with potatoes and rice or Greek salad, nope just a piece of moussaka for $18, they don't carry a selection of Greek wine ??? My first time here, trust me kypriaki serves Greek wine and full meals not just a piece of moussaka and nothing else for 18 bucks, go to kypriaki on marine , much better value for money and selection of Greek wines
This place is fantastic. The food and service is top notch. Highly recommend.
We really enjoy the food here. Our server was not very good; however, the expo was amazing. The thing that really surprised us is that they weren't asking for vaccine passports and when we asked a staff member about it they said "the manager doesn't care about it". Guess we won't be back anytime soon.
Great Greek comfort food. Decor and staff are very welcoming. Meals and appetizers are filling. Food is fresh and hot. Is it a gastronomic chef-inspired adventure? Not really. Would I return? Absolutely.
This place is sooooo goooood!! I love their lamb! The prices are a bit expensive but for the quality and consistency of the food, I think it’s worth it.
The food is delicious and super tasty! I didn't love sitting outside the washroom and really, there shouldn't be a table there (at one point I could smell "toilet"...not so appetizing and it was at the end if the night). Servers (everyone, really) are all very friendly and attentive.
Have been going to Anatoli's for over 10 years. The food is always high quality and delicious. Hard to go to other Mediterranean restaurants after eating here. The venue, and staff are great too. Very classic North Vancouver landmark. Highly recommend.
Food was amazing just like the service!
Service
We visited the restaurant on Saturday night. The place was packed but the service was friendly and relatively quick. The issue was with the belly dancer who appeared in the middle of the room under the sounds of a loud arabic music. It was so loud that we couldn't hear each other and her performance was not short. Our requests to tone down the music were answered with a promise that she will finish soon. When we left, a person from the staff appologized for the loud music and said that "they cannot control the dancer". My two main questions are: Why there is a belly dancer in a Greek restaurant? In 2018, should we perpetuate a practice when a half-naked woman is dancing as part of the entertainment?
The food was good but I did not like the place where we were seated, even with a reservation made several hours ago, they placed us in the middle of two parties and in an extra table that obviously did not belong there. I can't say that the attention was bad, but wasn't great either, just the order, the food and the bill. I wanted to ask for the pita that never came but did not have the chance.
Good food and good service. Souvlaki was perfect. Just the right amount of seasonings. Weekday night wasn't that busy. Serving size was just a bit small for me. I'm not a big eater, but I was hungry when we finished the main course, and the dessert menu was too limited. I should note that serving sizes are usually quite big there. Who knows, maybe they were trying to tell me something.
Great location. Located in beautiful lower Lonsdale People are nice Food quality and the price is fair
I tried the roast lamb. It was nicely done, fall off the bone. The house pale ale was great. Nice atmosphere, patio great for the summer. Food is good.
Place is pretty big, but for Saturday lunch it felt very empty. Staff was friendly and liked my kid. Ordered the lamb orzo special for $16 (pictured). It was good and filling. Some of the orzo was clumpy, but I still really enjoyed it. The pita bread was too hard, but dipping it in tzatziki worked out. Also got lunch order of calamari. Crispy beading, reasonably soft squid, nice bit of mint sprinkled over everything. Not chewy and quite enjoyable, but not amazing. They have high chairs. The bathroom is tiny (can't open door while someone is washing hands). Not sure if there is a wheelchair one. A lot of prices seemed pretty steep for lunch. Not sure there were any real lunch items for under $12.
Hosted a surprise 60th birthday here. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing! They have expanded their vegan menu significantly and everything was delicious.
I've been going there for years with family and friends, we've always loved the food, atmosphere and friendly staff. I took my girlfriend last week for her bday present and the roast lamb dinner was superb. They are taking very good care of the distancing and masks.
The atmosphere was great and it was cozy with it being cold outside. The service was very good. I had the spanekopita as a starter and the lamb moussaka for my main course. The food was good but I felt that the moussaka could've had a little more flavour.
I hate to complain about the food because this place is very nice but since the pandemic the quality of the chicken souvalki has gone down quite a lot i found the chicken souvlaki barely edible very chewy, greasy and the taste was off.
Came here with my freinds for lunch early dinner, lovely place to get Greek food on the North Shore. Reasonably priced and great staff
We run our Christmas parties out of Anatoli's. I don't know how they do it, but their food gets better every year, and the service, with staff who are there year in and year out, is impeccable. We rent out one of their dining areas that comfortably fits 46. I couldn't be happier with them. And I won't even get into how good the lamb is..... Thanks Georgia and Eddie
Service
Fantastic service! I love the music and the ambiance! First time to try the North Van location and will definitely come back. Exceptional service like The Greek in Gastown ❤️
Anatoli has changed to tapas and much more expensive. They expect you to have a QR reader and if you don't they only give you one menu that you have to share. They made the mistake of serving pork when we asked for beef. All in all I would never go back and suggest others beware.
My boyfriend and I went out for dinner had a good time, however when the server came to take our payment, she made sure he knew to go on options for the tip as percents wasn’t high enough I suppose, since we split the bill. When she saw our tip she started lecturing him on how he should have tipped more and to know better for next time, we shared one meal and are two minors, we left a tip that was appropriate for our financial situation and don’t think tipping is even mandatory, she came off very rude and made us feel badly about our financial situation.
This was a lovely restaurant in lower Lonsdale. We had an arrangement of appetizers, hummus and tzatziki with pita, dolmades, calamari, and spanakopita. Everything was amazing. The calamari was very light, the dolmades were perfection with rice and beef, the spanakopita were flaky and delicious. It was a lovely selection. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was very chill for a bright and sunny Monday around 1pm, which was great. I would definitely eat here again. My only complaint is the chairs. They're not that great if you're not stick thin, and the arms get in the way. But, I'd still go here again because everything else is perfect.
Such an authentic atmosphere and delicious food. They also have a more modern location in Yaletown called The Greek.
They are not complying with the public health orders and checking for vaccine cards. When we asked the server about it she said they were not requiring vaccine passports. Our group of 6 walked away and they lost hundreds of dollars in business. We have people we need to protect and want to feel safe when we go out during a global pandemic.
