Delicious, Fresh, Friendly service, Healthy!!! We are from Timmins and every time we go to North Bay we have to visit the sub place. My son had colitus and is in remission, he has to watch what he eats (especially preservatives), especially takeout, and he says that eating a gyro ( donair and chicken with spice and tziki sauce, black and green olives, tomatoes and lettuce, onion) is "good" for his body. The fries are cooked in peanut oil, and they taste homemade. Cannot say enough about this place. We told the owners that we used to have a shawarma stop in Timmins and we were missing the pickled turnips and hot peppers, the owner had the confidence in his restaurant to recommend another stop in North Bay that makes lebanese shawarma!! We never went, we ended up back at the sub place to have one last gyro and baclava before we went home....2 thumbs up...if i had a third it would be up tooo. haha If I could recommend any changes it would be the sub buns. The buns need to be more like Mr sub and less like buns you would buy at a grocery store

Drove 15 mins across town to try this place. The spit for the gyro meat had been shut down so they had chucks in a pan. The meat after biting into it was pink inside. Not fully cooked. Mentioned it to the worker who I think was the manager and he said "that's how are meat comes" lol ya when its raw. He was friendly thou and the gyro was just ok. Maybe its North Bay good but Windsor has many good gyro places

So disappointed tonight. Went for the fish n chips n it doesn't seem like they batter there own fish.also orders crispy fries made into a poutine. The fries were neither crispy or did they not have curds on it. They used shredded mozzarella. The best thing bout this place is the subs but I'll never order the fish n chips again

Disrespectful and unprofessional staff, terrible food. Edit: Editing this on the request of the owner. Firstly, I felt discriminated against when I visited yesterday. Your staff seemed to greet all the other guests except for me and my mate. Of course you'll say this wasn't on purpose but I can tell you that it was. Also, they didn't bother to explain when I couldn't understand what will be included in the gyro meal I've ordered. The lady on the counter asked if I want the chicken skin on and before I could reply, the other staff member just assumed I'd want it on and told the lady that I want it on. They also 'forgot ' to add drinks to my order which I only realized after I came back home. I am seeing the owner's reply on other comments saying you will try to improve your service and food, but unfortunately it was too late in my case. Will never visit this store again. Thank you

Great food and desserts. The gyro meat is delicious. The baklava is authentic, homemade and has just the right amount of honey, some places drown their baklava in syrup but they keep it fresh. I wish they served some other Greek staples like Greek potatoes or Pastichio but in North Bay I’ll take what I can get and count my blessings.

That's what I needed. I haven't come across a donair/gyros place that caught my eye in the week I've been here in North Bay. Until now. Got a standard gyros wrap: meat, veg, tzatziki and this hot spice blend they sprinkle on it that is just amazing. The tzatziki is really really good, the lettuce and onion is chopped up just so, the meat is tasty and the portion size seems fair. The menu has stuff ranging from under ten bucks to maybe 14ish for a large premium sub. I haven't tried the other offerings yet but i certainly plan to. From the the look of the buns I'm guessing $14 gets you a sub fit for a king. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food explains why, when I left, they had about a dozen people liked up to order. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

The food was awesome and fresh and the best part THEY WERE OPEN PAST 8 AND SERVED AWESOME FOOD!!! Literally why we went and we were disappointed in ourselves for not going sooner. Will be back soon!

They make some of the best food in North Bay. The portions are perfectly sized. The subs are outstanding but the also make great fries and bbq chicken. But the real gem at this place is their Gyros. They are absolutely amazing.

Best food best gyros best subs. Fried foods are fried in a highly refined peanut oil but it shouldn't cause allergies in most people because of how much it's been refined. That said food is delicious!

The Sub Place is a Greek fast food restaurant has been a North Bay tradition for decades and there are reasons for that: Consistent quality, flavour, good pricing family, and community. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a cheerful smile from this family-run business. I have ordered for myself and for business proving they are capable of catering larger lunch orders with advance notice. I personally prefer the chicken gyros to their subs. If you are new to town or visiting, I encourage you to sample some items from the menu and find your new food home here at the Sub Place.

What a amazing place. So hubby and I came to the bay for a weekend away for his bday. So Friday night we went to the sub place to see what they had as I have has weight loss surgery I'm limited and alot of places dont give a damn. Well not them they cooked them fish on it's own and a few meat balls in a cup with cheese just in case the fish did not sit right or the meat balls I had 2 options.. my meal cost 7.00 what!! Amazing thank you so much for taken the time to understand. Food was amazing had food to last me till I go home Sunday and the husband loved his sub. Again amazing highly recommended ♡ hood service goes along way alone with amazing food.

You want amazing food, this is the place. I have never had a bad experience and I have eaten at The Sub Place often. Their food is so good, made right in front of you and super fast. Lunch time line can get heavy but you never wait long. To watch these guys work is amazing, it's like watching a circus performer juggle chainsaws. It's complete organized chaos, they have a system at it works really well for them. Always great service, if not top notch. There was a mix up with our order once, only once. They corrected it for us at no charge, we really felt bad and wanted to pay for the new order, there was no way they were gonna allow us. That's the reason we keep going back, killer food, amazing customer service. Best place in town for Greek style food with a hint of Canadian classics, awesome poutine. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely love this place! We make a point to stop in every time we are in town. The buns are always fresh the lettuce and vegetables are always crisp. I ordered a roasted chicken sub and it was delicious. It's made with chicken they cook in house on a rotisserie. I've never been to a sub shop anywhere that had at chicken sub like this. I highly recommend it if you haven't had one before.

One of my top two places to eat. Gyros, poutine, the rotisserie chicken ? I have no words. Where can you get 2 whole chickens, 2lg fries and a big salad for under $50? Not to mention the great staff and owners. The Greek influence is strong and the sense of family is even stronger. Eat Here! you will not regret it .
