Staying on Trout Lake when we visit North Bay from England, The Portage is extremely convenient for a short boat ride down the lake and then a lovely bite to eat! Car AND BOAT parking available, never had any issues here. Superb

"The Best Burger in North Bay". Yes it is! Homemade BBQ sauce with onion, bacon mushrooms.. oh it was good. They also have the monster Tage' Burger which is double the size!!! The fries are also cooked perfectly and have great seasoning. My mom had the baked lasagna meal and she could only finish half. The chef came out and asked if it was good and she wouldn't stop a raving about it. Ends up it's his own creation! There is marinara sauce on 1/2 and alfredo sauce on the other half so you can dip and choose your style. All local beers on tap.

Great local pup and night spot. The a full 4 season with boat up docks, and sledding parking in winter. Food is usual pub/road house fare, with some really great house specialties. Great for everyone.

Good food great atmosphere and one heck of an amazing view I mean the food is great have a drink everybody knows your name and when you walk in the bartender already has your drink Ready Mixed and ready for you I mean what more could you ask

Great friendly neighbourhood pub on Trout Lake. You can get there by car, boat or snowmobile (or in my case, on foot)! If you're a burger lover, you have to try the Tage Burger. It's deliciously decadent! It's where the neighbourhood meets every Friday.

Excellent atmosphere, staff are friendly and professional. I've been to multiple theme nights in the past ( eg. St. Patrick's Day) and it's always been a good time. Best food in North Bay hands down. Domestic and craft beer options are pretty good too.

You are able to have a pleasant drink while waiting for your food. Good food. I really enjoyed the food. Servers were awesome.. however if you venture into this place know your server and ask her/him your questions if they can't help you they will send someone over who can. It's a busy place and the servers are moving. Its Snowmobile season and kids are welcome.
