Might just be the best chicken shawarma I've ever had! The spicy sauce was still garlicky and delicious and it was wrapped tightly so it was relatively tidy to eat. Chicken was juicy and tender with all the right toppings.

YES! I am a shawarma freak ???? and this might be one of the best shawarmas I’ve ever had. Unfortunately they were out of chicken :( but that was fine bcus I love falafel anyway and the flavour is unbeatable, it’s wrapped so neatly and tight plus I ordered for delivery and it was still hot when it came. I will definitely be coming back to try the chicken yummmm

Had the worst experience at this place - extremely overpriced and bad service. Did not have any patience when we called in to make an order, asked to check their website instead. Ordered chicken shawarma rice and donair for 4 people, which came to nearly $100. The food portion and quality wasn't even worth half that. Donair was mostly burnt and chicken was plain - honestly have no idea why it is labelled as shawarma. To top it all off, when we asked for extra paper container, we were charged for each one even though we spent $100 at this place. Clearly the guy wanted to make money off of us since we weren't local people. How cheap can you be? Charging for a single paper container? Horrible, horrible experience, and the worst shawarma I've had in my 10 years in Canada.

I go to the Cedar Tree several times a week; it is my favourite restaurant in North Bay. I have always been a picky eater, so I never thought of venturing into a Lebanese restaurant until I got a two for one coupon, and by golly am I ever glad I did. I discovered the chicken shawarma, and consequently, I discovered their garlic sauce, which is hands-down the best thing that you will ever put in your mouth. I get the regular chicken shawarma with cheese curds in it and lettuce (nothing else, I am not thaaaat adventurous yet), and the kind owner, Roger, remembers my order and always makes it perfectly. As a matter of fact, I am waiting on Cedar Tree delivery as I type this. Overall, AMAZING food, and if it had longer hours and cheaper delivery, it would be absolutely flawless. Go there (when they're open).

The Cedar Tree offers Excellent mouth watering Chicken and Donair Shawarma. With their spicy garlic sauce it tastes just too good. In North Bay it’s hard to find good Halal foods, these two options are Halal as well. In terms of price you spend more on McDonald’s which is not even close. Must try.

By far the best Lebanese restaurant in North Bay. They have authentic items on the menu and the taste reminds of the food that I ate while I was travelling in Dubai. The Falafel is so soft that it literally melts in your mouth. Baba Ganoush has that rusty grilled taste ???? and the humus is mind blowing. I can’t stop bragging about the food and how efficient their team is. The kitchen is open concept so you can literally see the staff working on your dish. A must try place when you are in North Bay????

Excellent food and service. We had a large group and they had no problem accommodating us in their cozy set up. They made sure to bring out some of the food we ordered as apps and starters right away so we wouldn't have to wait. I asked for the falafel and the waitress asked if I wanted the non dairy sauce so that it was a vegan meal if I wanted. Very awesome of the staff to consider that and I was very impressed.

One of our very favourite local restaurants, and the only Lebanese restaurant in the North Bay area. Their dishes - tabbouleh, shawarma, hummus, and all the rest - are fresh and delicious. The portions are also quite generous - my wife and I usually order a dinner for two and get two meals out of it. Cedar Tree reopened on August 4, 2015 after being closed for renovations for a few months.

I may have not personally gone here, but what the owner did to my friend is absolutely unacceptable. My friend travelled all the way to North Bay from Toronto just to eat shawarma and the owner charged him $5000 for a paper container. As a result, my friend is not only broke, but has lost his love for shawarmas. I asked him if he wanted to eat shawarma today, and he said “no I’m just gonna eat a bagel from Tim Horton’s” I will never forgive the owner of this store. By the way, don’t fall for the good reviews, I suspect the owner used my friend’s $5000 to pay them off. Honest is the best policy, bad reviews are the currency.

Would love slightly lower prices, home fermented chili hot sauce, oven browned eggplant and cauliflower, chili beef shawarma, and more customized sandwich toppings. That said, not aware of anywhere else to get authentic, freshly made and fried-on-demand falafel in the Northeast, and owner obviously puts care and craft into the menu considering reality of location and local tastes. Bonus for no stinky lingering old deep fryer oil, deliciously essential homemade turnip pickle, and persistent availability of one extra seat just when the very limited space seems at capacity. Kudos. Work on the baked-brown olive oil eggplant sammies and pickled chili sauce though. Oh and a frequent buyers card with a discount or something. ;-)

They make a great shawarma plate, fresh and delish salads, and tasty garlic sauce. Being mew to town, I'm pretty confident this is the best shawarma I'll find, and I'm just fine with that. If I had a few wishes, they wouldn't be right downtown due to my hate of downtown parking, and they would have a selection of tasty home made sauces to top that shawarma off.

We chanced by this place during a food stop of our business trip going north. I think we'll be stopping by this place regularly now for our trips! Loved the donair there. Their garlic sauce is bright with garlicky flavour, and the meat is flush with spices. Their baklava... mmm packed full of chopped nuts, and just the right amount of honey (and not drenched like how a number of places make them).

If I'm paying for the crew to eat, I'm almost impossible to please because of the dollars being spent... We've been back three times since we may go back tonite... crazy... Come to the Cedar tree and try their delicious Tabouleh! From Rice, potatoes and lentil soup, their food is best enjoyed as a group! I recommend their falafel, it was very delicious and the opposite of awful! The seasoning was perfect and very tasty,, why this place is great if you are in a rush and hasty! Delicious donnairs with halaal option, there is superb baclava available and the garlic potatoes are unbelievably tasty, cane sugar sodas are available for purchase and a variety of fruit bouquets are well advertised. Group platters are affordably priced. At the Cedar Tree while Lebanese music plays there are enough seats, a map of Lebanon and public washroom.

My husband ordered 2 large donair with the intention of taking one to work the next day for lunch. He said they were really delicious but ended up eating both because they were pretty small. I ordered the fallafel platter. So happy to see pickled turnip in my salad! The fallafel was delicious with their garlic sauce but encountered a few granuals of sand in the fallafel? Not a fan of the roasted potatoes as they were underdone. The hummus was delicious and the lemon comes through. But a large portion of hummus and only a small piece of flatbread. Hefty delivery charge and a $3 charge to pay by mastercard. So overall, mixed reviews, leaning toward very good.

The food arrived in under a half hour, the donair warm and full of flavor and my side of french fries crisped and salted to perfection. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Big fan of Lebanese food, and have eaten it regularly in Ottawa and the GTA for over 30 years. This place is odd, and needs some local competition to up it's game. Ordered a chicken shawarma platter, and a Falafel wrap.nthe Falafel was decent, the platter however was very disappointing, and everything was crazy expensive. The platter had the smallest portion of chicken I have ever had in a platter, and the chicken came completely devoid of any sauces. I asked for hot sauce and it was an add on in a little plastic cup for additional $0.75, as was the tahini and garlic sauces. I guess they want me to put it on for them? Once I assembled the platter the flavours were average at best. Platter came with a pita, the smallest one I have seen before, and it came in a little plastic baggy, fresh out of the microwave. As did the rice. Rice looked good, but seeing it come out of the microwave in a little plastic bag was disappointing as was the taste. My other side was humus, and it seemed house made and was very good with olive oil drizzled on top. Total price for this mess was $28 without drinks. Female working the phone and counter was rude and generally unpleasant. Won't be back.

I must say, this is the best Lebanese and shawarma spot I have ever eaten at. The food is always amazing and so is the service. The restaurant is always clean and the food is always fresh. Roger is the man and all of his staff are great. I have sent in everyone I know and I have never had anyone come back with anything Except “it was unreal”! My family always eats here and if you don’t you should try it out! If I could give it a 10 star I would. Good job guys ????

Comparing to what you would get in the GTA, very poor quality middle eastern food. The meat very dry, both the chicken and lamb. They also lack in the customer service area. The owner was not to welcoming and doesn't provide a warm reception. Seems very stressed out. Reluctant in answering questions. Also, over priced.

So disappointing after reading all of the positive reviews. A vegetarian friend treated us to takeout. Her falafel was really good but our meals were awful. My husband’s beef and lamb strips were so dry that it was more like jerky. My chicken shawarma was a few large dry pieces on top of a pile of bits about 1/2 an inch in size. It was terribly dry and seemed days old. We filled up on bread and hummus. The salad was vinegary and the toum was more like mayonnaise with added garlic. Not a pleasant meal.

Had the spicy chicken Shwarma. If you like spice then it's an incredible choice. I got a regular and wasn't entirely full so I would get the large if you have an appetite. 10/10 on taste. I'll be coming back for sure.

The taste of the food is the best you can get in North Bay by far. However they seem reluctant to change for the better. More toppings, more sides and more sauces would help business a lot in my opinion. (asked for rice in shawarma instead of on the side and was rejected too). However I love the taste and it is my favorite shawarma in north bay.
