To repeat all the other reviews, fantastic food, exceptional service. For a vegan restaurant I would of thought they'd have more than the standard garden and caesar salad but that said, the garden is a far cut above anything else in town (didn't try caesar yet). Also I found it odd the menu was heavy on the faux meat and cheese (both of which are done really, really well. So tasty). The gluten free bread actually tastes good here. We had a small problem but our outstanding waitress was able to resolve it to my full satisfaction. To repeat everyone else, you must try this place! For North Bay this is a definitely a gem. For first time visitors the street sign is quite small, it's next to Greco's.

Really enjoyed brunch. A bit expensive if compared with other places but the ingredients seem really fresh, so can’t complain. The menu is super small but I actually liked it. Too many options would effect quality so I hope they keep it small. Presentation is lovely. Staff are friendly. I’m not vegan but really enjoyed. Will go again. The decor is cute. Has a bit of a hip vibe. Which is odd considering there are so many antique touches. The eclectic mix of dishes plays. It’s not my thing but it works. Really nice to have an option like this for my vegan friends. And nice I can go along and still enjoy. Will go again. One thing to remember is this place is cash only. I never carry cash and I didn’t notice a sign on my way in so I had to borrow cash. If this place stays I’d love to see them at least put in a square system or some sort of Interac.

What a lovely spot! An entirely vegan diner is so cool. I enjoyed the Saturday brunch. The server was really helpful and knowledgeable. Also the food was great! I'll definitely go back if I ever find myself in North Bay again.

Absolutely love it!!! Tried coconut eggplant curry and orange almond chai and they all tasted great (the chai was so good I finished it before realized that I should take a picture). The food was way beyond my expectations and I’m very impressed!! All the staffs are very nice and I will definitely come back if I travel to North Bay.

All vegan restaurant. They're awesome, the food has been amazing ???????? We ordered take out and they sent us home with plastic tupperware containers, metal utensils, and a glass coffee mug for us to bring back. I love the effort on environmental impacts! They've also done a good job on the interior on the restaurant. It's old antiques chairs, paintings, and furniture makes the space relaxing. Not to mention the employees are very down to earth ????????

My husband and I brought our baby out for brunch and had a fantastic meal. I had a blueberry scone which was...amazing. we both also had pancakes which were some kind of carrot cake mixture and were out of this world delicious with nuts and raisins and whip cream. To top it off I had a cardimon tea latte that I could have shipped all day. The atmosphere was super nice and friendly and there was lovely live music...on a Sunday morning :) My only regret was not joining the people at the large table...we took stools at the bar instead. The table would have been more comfortable with the baby and would have allowed us to meet some new people. Next time! We will certainly be back!

You absolutely must eat here. By far my favourite lunch spot. Check hours before going. Arrive early to avoid some items selling out. Everything on the menu is fresh, vegan, and delicious. Staff are completely down to earth and the warmest and most sincere people you will meet. The ambience is cheerful and nostalgic. Kid friendly. Put visiting here on the top of your list of things to do.

Beautiful vegan fare, and a charming atmosphere! The specials are always delicious, and the tofu scramble is to die for. It's also my favorite place to pop into for a piece of pie and a damn fine cup of coffee.

I absolutely love this place and sadly I do not visit it enough. The food is fantastic, just names of the dishes alone get you all excited to eat there. Currently during these times you need to wait in line before ordering which is totally fine and if you drive by on the weekends....well you will see a huge line up and that alone should tell you how fantastic this place is.

I had the indian butter tofu soup and vegan grilled cheeze. Absolutely amazing delicious. It gives me hope that I'll eventually be able to cook edible tofu. London fog tea was adorable and good as well. I was really hungry and don't think to take pictures of my food, but it was all very attractively plated. Even if you're not regularly vegan, if you leave here hungry it's your own fault.

Went this morning for breakfast but couldn't stay. Smelled really great and the atmosphere/decor was pretty incredible however they don't have a high chair which is odd for a place that is only open during the daytime.

Me and my fiance visited here yesterday and to say we were blown away would be an understatement. He got a burger, I got the roast beef, we both agreed that these were the best sandwiches we've ever had (means a lot coming from him too as he's not vegan like me!). We also got some iced drinks that were so fun, tasty, and creative. Brought some scones home to my mom and she was super impressed. They even gave us two free cookie dough popsicles! You can just really tell that the owner and staff are very creative, thoughtful people. The North Star Diner is now going to be a regular stop on our travels to and from my parents cottage up north!

Really fun experience. The North Star has a funky relaxed feel. The ease of the staff and the eclectic decor is unique and quirky without being pretentious or cultivated. The menu wasn't huge but everything sounded great. I had the cinnamon PB and J, which was a delightful nostalgic treat. I would go back any time I'm in North Bay.
