I was told about this place by a friend, and I'm sure glad I took him up on his recommendation! The restaurant's brand and display is on point and really highlights the theme - arugula - including its green and black decor and colouring. Not to be outdone, the appetizer and main course we had were amazing! The Mussels Marinara were simple but just right. The sauce and seasoning allowed the mussels, which were cooked perfectly, to be the headline flavour when you ate them. Well done! The Vegetarian Neapolitan Pizza was excellent. The crust was thin and light, the sauce was just enough to let the vegetables, including the arugula, and goat cheese come out and steal the show. I was very impressed. On top of that all, they make a mean Pina Colada! Highly recommended and you should make this a place to dine whenever in North Bay!

Was driving through North Bay and spotted the sign on the side of the road as I flashed past it. A quick Google search gave me the address and off we went with no expectation of anything. We were very pleasantly surprised and had a great meal. It was a hard choice as so many things looked good - and what we ordered did not disappoint, accompanied by friendly and efficient service. Will definitely stop in again when we are back in the area.

We were here close to after they opened and I thought that you were to order personal pan pizzas but I was amazing when a more or less large stone cooked pizza showed up in front of me. My Fiance and I went here last month, Wow - it was awesome. The quintessential Italian style Pizza, still cooked in a fire oven! This pizza may sound overwhelming on the outside, but don’t let the simplicity foul you. The genius here is in the balance and execution of the few ingredients involved. Don’t be tempted to stray for the regular pie as this is where you get the full experience. Go and enjoy this Italian classic!

My experience was mediocre. The first thing that I noticed was the noise level and cramped quarters. There was only one vegan option which was a full medium pizza. The crust was a bit soggy. The service was good and I'm sure the food is good if you're a meat eater but Ihave no desire to go back.

Lots of vegan choices, which was great, but they put too much cheese on all the pizzas, vegan and non vegan. Makes things very greasy and the other ingredients are drowned out. The result is somehow less flavourful than it should be.

Great lunch spot! Went with a large group (~12 people) but the server had no trouble handling us all. The lunch special (salad, pizza, and gelato for 16$) was incredible value and I had enough pizza leftover to box up for another lunch. The pizza was likely the best I've had in North Bay. Beer selection was also great. Washrooms were very clean and smelled absolutely amazing. Defintely will be back.

Had dinner there tonight with my husband and our snoozing newborn. Delicious food. Would definitely go back again. We started with the calamari, which is lightly breaded and served with a tomato and peppers, if you're looking for greasy bar calamari, this isn't it. I had the meatball sandwich with Italian salad, both were awesome. It isn't just on fresh bread, it's on garlic buttered bread, all other meatball sandwiches are ruined for me thanks to that touch. My husband had the chicken parmesan sandwich, also delish, with the Italian wedges. The wedges are nicely done with herbs and parmesan. To finish, the Reese's dessert pizza. Oh man. So indulgent and so good. We could barely finish half after our big dinner but I had to try it as we don't live in North Bay and I couldn't leave without tasting it after seeing the photo someone posted on here of the s'mores version. The decor is also great, stylish. We sat on the entirely screened in patio overlooking a little Creek, very pretty. Service was prompt and friendly.

Decent. Not great but not bad . Margherita pizza was bland and almost soggy. I was a little disappointed to find the large basil leaves just added on top of the pizza instead of being diced and baked into it for flavour. The Pepperoni pizza however, as basic as it is, was much tastier. Service was good. We were seated in a nice booth because we had our newborn son in a car seat, which would have been great if we weren’t next to the patio door that was constantly being open, letting in a cold breeze. I wished I would have gotten to try the squash pizza that was advertised on a board outside the restaurant but not sound on the menu.. that sounded amazing. Perhaps on our next trip to Northbay.

We stopped here because a friend recommended it. What a gem! We sat on the screened in porch and had a wonderful meal and dining experience. The service wasn't super fast but they were accommodating and attentive. The food was delicious and light, but filling. The menu is limited but creative. They serve lovely appetizers, wood fired pizzas, paninis, and super salads. Definitely on my short list for a return visit.

I wasn't a big fan of the earl grey tea I ordered, I felt like it was weak despite giving it extra time to brew after the first sip; but that's the brand's issue, not the restaurant. Watched them prep some take out while waiting to pay the bill at the front, they definitely don't skimp and really fill the boxes. Also really nice to see all the fresh ingredients up there. Price was excellent, I would go back without hesitation.

Arugula is a Neapolitan style pizzeria. The restaurant features their authentic stone pizza oven near the centre of the restaurant. The menu is comfortably crafted for a wide audience and of note, there is an entire section devoted to vegan pizza! Although they are famous for their pizza, they have amazing salads and paninis on the menu as well. This restaurant offers a stunning seating option of a screened-in patio area privately overlooking a small creek. For food tips; I prefer the Calabrese or Cured meat pizzas. The only item on the menu I have heard negative reviews on is the fungi pizza. As to be expected, the serving staff here are top notch and the food is perfection.

Yummmm! This was our first visit to Arugula, and definitely won't be our last. We live near St Charles, so it's not going to be a regular outing for us but we can plan future road trips around stopping here ???? Hubby & i decided to share a caprese salad and thank goodness we DID share -- it was huge!! We then each ordered our own pizzas (planned leftovers for lunch tomorrow ????); hubby ordered a Hawaiian (yes to hot peppers) & I ordered a sausage pizza (yes to blue cheese but no onions). Ohmigoodness -- they were each delicious ????????. I loved the fresh basil leaves on mine. Our server was very friendly, helpful & cheerful, too. Thanks, Hailey!

The food here is some of my favourite in North Bay. The food is always amazing, the service is always friendly (yet, sometimes slow). The only thing on the menu I do not recommend is the garlic bread with bruschetta. The garlic bread is fine, the bruschetta is not actually bruschetta. It's more of a pepper salad with scarce amount of tomato. Extremely disappointing if your expecting actual bruschetta All in all worth going to for everything else!

I finally had the pleasure to try out this little gem in the city. It has always been an interest of mine, but I have not had the opportunity to go. Today, we attending this restaurant for a corporate luncheon. The atmosphere is unique, with minimal decor, having your focus on the center of the room being a massive fire stove. The knowledgable and friendly server was a pleasure to have. She was pleasant and accommodating. We were recommended to try the nachos, to which we were not disappointed. The chips are not a traditional tortilla chip, and came with homemade salsa and sour cream. The serving sizes are huge, leaving no room for disappointment. I ordered the special of the day - a pesto chicken pizza. Again, a 12" pizza was far too much for me to eat in one sitting. The pizza is a gourmet style, thin crust, with an amazing presentation. The table was dressed with infused oil, pepper flakes and hot sauce. They also have a homemade garlic aioli dip to serve with the pizza on request. The price list is on the slightly expensive side, however, with the presentation, atmosphere and gourmet-like cuisine, the cost is hardly a concern. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a little something different.

Instead of ground up meatball, I personally feel that meatball halves would have been much more satisfying aswell as less soggy. The restaurant was freezing. My order was incorrect, I had to go to the pizza oven area to get it fixed by the cook because the waitress didn’t check on me after she brought the food. The washrooms weren’t t clean. I was the first customer of the day and there was urine left standing in one of the toilets. The other washroom has cobwebs in the corners by the floor and it was freezing. Didn’t have the pizza but it looked good

Leaving Sudbury (!), we saw this billboard on the side of the road for Arugula so we thought that was a good reason to check it out after an hour on the road. Arugula did not disappoint. Quick and friendly service, and very nice pizza, cooked in a wood fired oven. Rich in toppings, and rich in taste, this is a great place just off the highway in town to stop if you are en route and don't feel like a chain restaurant.

Placed an order at 5:03 today. Was told it would be 45-50 minutes. At an hour and fifteen minutes I called to see if the order was on its way and was told it should be here shortly. I called again at 6:55. At this point in time I informed them I no longer wanted the pizza. We planned on going elsewhere. I was told it's out for delivery and there's nothing they could do. I had paid and tipped in advance. Worth noting because I'm sure had I not already paid, they might have been able to do something. They passed me on to the owner, who again told me nothing they could do, it's not their fault. Not once did they accept responsibility. The only person to actually apologize was the receptionist, who has the least amount of blame here, so thank you for staying sweet throughout. The owner on the other hand, could have done literally anything to make the situation better and instead blamed the trace amounts of snow and the delivery service. She also mentioned that the order left 30 minutes ago, which was an hour and 20 minutes after I ordered. I've always loved their food, but won't order from here ever again after being dismissed by the owner, with zero responsibility or ownership from the owner. $75 for two cold pizzas, and a salad over an hour late, and terrible service from the owner. A small apology from the owner would have gone a long way to diffuse the situation, instead she blamed everyone else, and seemed pretty content that she had my money and there was nothing I could do about it. I've never left a negative review in my life... until now.

Just had dinner there with my wife loved the spaghetti and meatballs ,and she had the Nachos a little disappointed as she asked for chicken and ther wasn't much chicken in there. We sat it the patio because it was a nice cool evening and we new we could get some fresh air and the bang someone at a table behind us felt it was to cold and rather than move inside they wanted the heat turned on. Konone asked if we were okay with it we weren't it got uncomfortably hot with the overhead heaters on such a beautiful night . Anyway service was excellent and food good

I love this place! Best pizza in town plus really good salads, fries and the calamari is a meal in itself. We often split a salad and a pizza. One of my favourite restaurants. Two warnings, one is that it's pricey and two is that some people don't like the thin wood burning oven crust. I've heard people say it's burnt or tastes burnt, but that's the magic of the oven.

If you want the closest thing to Naples, Italy pizza, it's right here. When I'm craving a little bit of Europe, I order Arugula. I always pay the extra fee too for the buffalo cheese just to make it extra good. They literally brought a guy over from Italy to build the stove so it cooked the pizza perfect!! My only reason for a 4 star is that my boyfriend and I had our first date here and when we went to book it for our 1 year anniversary, we arrived on Sunday to learn they closed an hour ago and they literally booked us after closing..

We ordered in from arugula and they delivered our pizza but did not mark the gluten free pizza - we could not tell the difference. We called back and asked if they could deliver two new gluten free pizzas as we have two people with ciliac. The owner told us that we would have to return the pizzas ourselves and she would show us the difference but would not give away any “free pizzas” yelled and hung up. She was “too busy” to deal with this. Obviously we were worried about the health implications not the free pizza. When we phoned back the owner refused to come to the phone. I have Never experienced such poor quality customer service - not to mention the pure lack of respect for people’s health!

Women that answer the phone are rude and impatient. Full menu is not on the website. Food is overpriced and they have terrible hours, especially for weekends. Due to an error, I was promised an item free of charge the next time I came in, but then when I came in again and went to order the item free of charge, they had no memory of their promise. The free of charge item was not as good as it normally is, and I feel like they did that on purpose because it was a no charge item.
