As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Italian restaurant.
Very nice ambiance. Quiet music in the background. Not too dark and not too bright. Wood fired oven for the pizza gives off a fine aroma. Melissa is friendly and helpful. She understands the wine list and can easily help if you are not familiar with the local wines. Gail had the Riesling and I had the Chardonnay (the pizzas, not the wine). Both were excellent with a nice thin crust, cooked perfectly and flavour you would expect from someone using a wood fired oven. Our wine was the local Konzelmann Chardonnay and we enjoyed it. Dry with a fruity and vibrant flavour. Overall we are very impressed. Five stars.
Old winery restaurant was pretty good. I had the gnocchi and calamari. Would go back. Limited on the non meat dishes.
One of our local places that we love. This time we got the chardonnay, Riesling and Gnocchi in cream sauce and all were superb. The location, staff, flavours and price are all superb. Get ready to make reservations now.
Gorgonzola gnocchi. Absolutely delicious. Service is always excellent and love the ambience as well!
Came with a small group as part of a wine tour. We had a lot of fun, with very relaxed vibes and stellar service. The pizzas were delicious and reasonably priced, and the wine was fantastic. Great location. Will definitely be back!
Loved this restaurant. It's got an outdoor patio as well. Very good friendly service and everything we ordered was so good! Must try- Calamari - it was fried to perfection (not over done and rubbery) Prosicutto wrapped chicken with mushroom risotto - the risotto was uh so delicious Their pizza is the best I've ever had. The crust is handmade and thin and crusty amd their base sauce was too good! Will definitely love to visit again!
The place is absolutely great for dinner. The pizzas are very delicious, the prices are very reasonable, as well as the wait-time is miserable. I'd put 10 stars if possible for the customer service the restaurant provides. The place was busy on Tuesday evening, so if you want to visit during the weekends - you'd better go ahead and reserve a table!
Burger was surprisingly tasty. Pasta was decent, had a lot of sauce. Chicken w pasta was good too. Beer and Caesar were good, however the beer is 16oz for 7$ is way overpriced. If it was 20oz then it would be justified. Overall good food, good experience. The patio is really nice quiet with lots of trees ???? ???? (don’t mind the pink shadow on the plates, it’s the reflection from the overhead umbrellas. The plates were white lol)
Service is excellent! Food taste really good. Oven pizza is thin and a good portion to share. Highly recommend the fresh gnocchi house made - portion was large for 2 people. To top off the meals, you need to try the lindt chocolate creme brulee - amazing! I am not a fan of desserts but this is worth trying and also to coming back for. Good outdoor patio.
This place was OK, but I certainly would not return. Food was quite average - I tried about 6 items: 3 were just OK (not even "good"), 2 were good (not great), and 1 just wasn't good at all. Service was also OK - professional, and not rude or anything, but just didn't feel friendly whatsoever. Atmosphere was nice, with a good vibe, but it was terribly hot inside - we were all sweating; it was a hot day, but still.... we were all quite uncomfortable. Prices however were fair. This place has potential, but definitely needs some work in a number of areas.
Food was amazing! We love the pizza and the gnocchi! It was delicious and the patio it’s nice and cozy
Best Wood Oven Pizza I have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant was 10/10. Perfect place for a date or dine out with family/friends. They have the best pizza and salad options. Everyone in the restaurant was welcoming and friendly including the lady who greeted us at the door and our server. They had dessert coffee options as well which I found interesting as I have never had one before. They also gave us dessert cake on the house as we were celebrating our anniversary. It was the best experience of our Niagara Falls trip. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended!
A very nice place. Good service... the waitstaff were very pleasant and fairly attentive. The food was outstanding. You can't really go wrong on any dish. The pizza is particularly good. Prices are competitive for food. Drinks seem expensive but are delicious. The only main criticism is with hosting and seating us... there was a loud discussion going on with staff at the entrance which made it hard to talk, hear and get appropriate service. Then the host wouldn't seat us at a shady table because it was for 4 people. It would not have been difficult to move a table (they are just light bistro tables) and other pairs were seated at tables for 4. We ended up cooking in the sun... at a small table. Overall, an excellent experience though.
Highly recommend this restaurant which is located just outside the downtown Niagara on the lake area. We were able to get a table outside right away because they have expanded the patio over to the parking lot. It is a small but nice selection of food and wines. The value was very good as the food was excellent and not overpriced.
Food here is reasonably priced and it is exceptional quality. Pizza was super thin and ratio of ingredients to dough was phenomenal. We were here first day of stage 3 reopen and ate indoors. This restaurant takes necessary precautions for social distancing and everyone wears masks, as well as hand sanitizer provided.
It was a lovely sunny day, but with a lot of wind. We came with friends to this restaurant for lunch. We were greeted by a very unpleasant and angry woman, with a face as if I had come to her home without an invitation and did something very bad. Anyway, we were offered a table in the sun, without an umbrella, explaining that the wind is very strong and it is impossible to put additional umbrellas, because the wind blows them away. It was too hot to sit under the scorching sun, so we said that we would wait until the table under the umbrella was free. The woman said very angrily "okay wait" rolled her eyes and quickly left. 2 minutes later, she brings a group of people who were in line behind us to the same table that was offered to us (without an umbrella and without the ability to put an umbrella) .... And do you know what she does? PUTS THE UMBRELLA. just like that, right in front of us. But her insolence does not end there. Several minutes pass (we stood in the same place and waited for the car to leave from there) and this woman, rushing past us, casually throws on the run "Oh, the table under the umbrella has just been vacated. Do you want it?" Can you imagine? I am simply discouraged by this blatant arrogance and rudeness. Such people should be prohibited from working in the service sector. The restaurant wasn't even packed! There was no rush at all! You cannot justify this behaviour with anything other than the personal attitude. The owners should urgently change staff. A picture of this employee is attached for the owner's reference.
My husband and I love this place. Their food is amazing and frankly they have the best pizzas in Niagara and in Toronto. Our favourite is their ricotta gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce, Riesling and Cabernet pizza. We have tried their Gewurtz and Chardonnay pizzas and they also taste good. Their Soup of the Day (tomato soup) was really good but they have discontinued it during summers. Our family loves this place and their food is really the best.
The food here was delicious. There were a few vegetarian options beyond the usual pasta. The staff were safe and all had PPE. The tables were spread out enough and it felt comfortable being on the patio. I recommend making a reservation as it was quite busy on a Saturday evening.
Great food and drinks! Went for a work trip and they comfortably handled 18 of us tonight. I had the Cabarnet pizza and a whiskey sour and recommend both
Great service. They have a couple of nice patios, one by the parking lot on turf grass, the other as a deck. I prefer sitting on the deck. The main dining room is more traditional but has an exposed kitchen with a brick oven for their excellent thin crust pizzas. Good pastas and a decent wine selection too.
The taste and quality of the food was really good. However, I found the portions to be a bit lacking as I felt a tad unsatisfied at the end for the amount of food we ordered (2 pizza's, 2 entree's, and an appetizer for 4 adults). The pizza toppings were not spread out uniformly so there was quite a few bites of just dry dough as well. Good flavors to the pizza, just wished they had spread out the toppings evenly.
Nice patio seatings and great service but the food wasn’t as good as I expected. This place has such a high rating and has many great reviews but well..my pasta was very bland, probably the chef forgot to season it(?) and the rib we had was good but little dry.
What an incredible lunch experience at the old winery! Firstly, the place looked stunning with its vintage ambience. The server was so gracious to tell us about the catch of the day lunch & the soup of the day. We had the cream of tomato soup which was heavenly. Along with it we took fried calamari, gnocchi and pesto linguine pasta with fried salmon. My first experience with salmon and boy was it delicious! Would love to come back here just to try another catch of the day dish!!
First off, thank you so much for being open and accommodating us for an amazing meal! The wood fired pizza ???? seriously out of this world ???? super thin, tasty and ???? spicy - oh yeah - the calamari was super light and tasty too. Our water was from Montreal, (sorry I forgot ????????♂️ his name) but wanted to thank him so much for his awesome attitude and smile! Merci????
As a tourist, we found this place while going on an adventure. I'm so glad we stopped in here! The staff was super friendly, the selection hit the right spot, and the portions were good. The Peppermint Patty is magical! If I find my way back to this part of the province, I'll be back! If you're in the area, go here and you'll be glad you went!
This is the Pinot, apparently you don’t receive the arugula on the pizza, although nowhere is it said so. Called and spoke to the very rude manager , who was of no assistance. 10/10 would not recommend, simply because of the horrible help and subpar pizza
We are repeat customers. They have great wood oven pizza and they have some fantastic pasta dishes as well. The menu is not huge, however everything is well prepared and comes to the table hot. The servers are friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the food.
What a great night out with friends. The food was awesome. Pizza and calamari for appetizers. The short ribs and salmon were great choices. Lana was awesome tonight. Took care of us. Highly recommended
Fairly large restaurant, warm ambience and well distanced for the pademic. We went on Friday at 7pm with a reservation. But by 8pm there were ample open tables. The staff, albeit friendly, appeared to be very busy and therefore not overly attentive. But I have no criticism either. The food was average too. The tastes of the pizza (Chardonnay) and the seafood pasta (very thin on the seafood) didn't necessarily jump out. Mind you, I like a spicy palate so there may be an unfair expectation. If you're in the NOL area, give it a shot and decide if you want to again.
A wonderful spot in the NOTL region. We visited on the Saturday of Labour Day weekend and were lucky to get a table around 1:00 pm before they got busy! We had the Antipasto platter and Chardonnay pizza and both were top notch! They have enough seating both indoors and out on the patio. Our server was super too! Would definitely recommend for their wood fired pizzas! ????
The wood oven pizza was phenomenal! One of the best I’ve tried! Our server was excellent and gave us great recommendations on food and wine pairings. We came on a rainy day and they accommodated us without a reservation. The atmosphere was cosy and they had a good menu selection. We will definitely be back to try out some other dishes in the future.
The food here was excellent! Italian menu with a more modern take. The restaurant is decorated well with a nice ambience. The menu and wine list offers a good choice and the prices are reasonable. Not to far from the main strip, overall a great place to eat.
The pizza was not great in my opinion. The crust is so so thin it looks and tastes like a tortilla and it was also burnt. Service was okay. Best part was the outdoor seating area. Personally would not go back as it wasn't worth the price.
You need to try this place ! Absolutely delicious!!! The pizza is to die for. We got the Chardonnay pizza and we wanted seconds. I also ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was perfect. For dessert we had the apple pie and it was also amazing. The service was so fast and everyone was really friendly. I can’t wait to come back !
Took a while to get our table even though we had a reservation, but overall good service, food was pretty good. The catch of the day salmon with chowder was probably the best cooked fish I've had at a restaurant. Pasta dishes were pretty yummy as well.
Nice atmosphere, cozy patio with shade. Food was good but not enough variety. Could have more pasta options and meat entree options. Salads were mostly leaves, not enough toppings or dressing. Service was good but the wait times were a bit long for entrees. Appetizers came very quickly.
The food was fantastic at The Old Winery Restaurant. Our table of four shared the calamari and meatballs - both very tasty. I had the gnocchi with added chicken (amazing). And my friends had the prosciutto wrapped chicken/risotto and two different wood fired pizzas. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Service was very good and the restaurant seemed to be very on top of their game dealing with Covid (screening questions at the door, vaccine check and sanitization of the tables). Would definitely recommend.
Amazing, everything was a hit, so much flavour (chardonnay pizza, carbonara pasta, autumn apple with whiskey caramel sauce) ????
Visited on Saturday for lunch on their patio. Overall, the food was good. We ordered their calamari, pepperoni pizza, and shrimp and baby clam pasta. Unfortunately, I don’t recommend the calamari, it was super deep fried, dark brown, and crispy. Calamari is not supposed to be like that. However, the pizza and pasta were good. It also seemed like they were understaffed that day, as it looked like there was only one server for our section of the patio.
We loved this place! What a lovely dining experience. Old Winery has tables set up outside the restaurant to accommodate more customers during covid. The view from outside was amazing. The ambiance was so relaxing and my fiancé and I were able to have a very romantic dinner. The food was so good! We had the gnocchi and orechiette pasta. They were so flavorful and tasty. Our waiter Luis was so friendly and very kind. Will absolutely visit again!
