Here we offer you the opinions of real people like you who purchase the products of Niagara's Finest Thai (Restaurant) in Niagara-on-the-Lake (Canada).
Nowadays this firm gets a score of 4.2 stars over 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really high, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the rating is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Thai restaurant.
We got the chicken paid thai and while the taste was good, the portion of chicken and noodles was on the small side. Also $ 23 this was the most expensive pad thai I had anywhere, and I've had awesome pad thai's in Toronto that blow this one out of the water for almost half the price. Give a bigger portion, reduce price, and you may have 5 stars.
So good! The best Pad Thai ever I say! Must try it to see for yourself! Other menu options too! My second time here and enjoyed it big time!
horrible food, !!! my daughter had two shrimps in one her dishes and one of them was bad, we let the waitress know and she replied we give you another shrimp! unreal.. we ate there a few weeks ago, spent 350 dollars for 6 people ( beer was good and that's it) ..... all vegetables basically, the chicken was shrivelled and hardly any on the plate. I can go on but I won't. Horrible!!!
By far my favourite place in town. The service can be so-so depending on who you get, but the food is so delicious that it's worth it. I want to try everything on the menu but I cant seem to take a break from the pineapple curry. The coconut soup is a MUST for an appetizer. I appreciate them having vegan options as well, like being able to make a vegan pad thai, which is also amazing. My only gripe is the cocktails can be pretty weak.
Penang curry (Vegan) was delicious, we also ordered Pad thai noodles which were great too. The vegan soup (coconut and veggies) was way beyond expectation. We would definitely return. Great place for authentic Thai cuisine. Would also like to appreciate the waitress(I dont know her name) for being really friendly and professional. Great job!
Lovely people. Great that they adjusted to dietary requirements. Noted that sugar is already in most of their premade sauces so there was only one option for diabetics. Ordered a mango salad with the dressing on the side and two mains. It took a very very long time to arrive. It is not a place to go if you are tight for time. With the weather being so beautiful, would have rather found another place with an outdoor patio. Found the green curry dish to be on the sweeter side but glad they were able to accommodate for vegans.
Excellent restaurant, we went in an hour earlier than our booking because I was starving and couldn’t wait. We had the whole place to ourselves so the waiting was faultless for us. Beautiful food and decor, the satay appetizer was delicious and plenty to share between two. Chicken Pad Thai and the Garlic fried beef were also incredible and more than adequately sized. Drive past again an hour or so later (around 6:15pm) and the place was filling up. Definitely recommended!!
The food is really bad. I am surprise that it even has a 4 star rating despite the small portion and how unprofessionally the food is cooked. The Pad Thai was so soggy that the noodles sticks to each other. The curries I ordered was watered down that the sauce is diluted with so little chicken and veggies in it. At first my parents thought it was soups but we told them it is Penang Curry and red curry. The rice was soggy but the curry was so watered down that we need to order extra rice which they charged us $4 a bowl but that is besides the point. The rice was over watered that it is like sticky rice. Overall I think Canadian has very low expectation compared to New York food. The food is overpriced and has small portion. So expect to come out no less than $100.
My first time at this restaurant. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken $18, the dish was very sweet and bland flavour yuk. The waitress was pleasant however never came back to ask how our meal was. The place was less than half full. We asked another worker for lime and hot sauce to add flavour to our dishes of pad thai. I will give the restaurant another try but no Pad Thai.
Nice comfortable dining space and flavorful dishes. Minus a star because dishes were rather salty, required bowl of plain rice to balance it out.
From the service to food, everything was excellent. Had one of the best shrimp Tom Yum soups ever!!
Dinner
Unfortunately we got an expensive and disappointing meal. We opted for their signature pad Thai and it was flavorless and very little chicken or shrimp. We ordered 2 curries and both of the rice containers were not filled. The Panang was flavorful but over all not worth it. Sad because they are the only Thai place in NOTL.
Best Thai my wife and I ever had. True and authentic tasting dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Pad Thai special was amazing. And great homemade hot sauce ????!!!
What an amazing and delicious experience! The restaurant itself is beautiful inside with an open kitchen, right in the heart of Niagara On The Lake. Every bite from every plate was exquisite, tasteful, authentic, fresh, and a punch full of fine flavour. Easily the best Thai food I've ever had. The name of the restaurant "Niagara's Finest Thai" is an understatement as it has been voted top 5 in all of Ontario, but yes, it definitely is Niagara's Finest! Our waitress Sue, made the experience even more enjoyable. Great work and I cant wait to be back!
Was a great atmosphere but I could desire more from the meal. It was just okay and wasn't as good as the many other Thai places I've been too. The pad thai was way to sweet
Great service and tasty food.
Simply exquisite. If you love Thai food, this is authentic. Found the ingredients to be really fresh, especially in the saute. I love spicy food, so the 3 pepper level was moderate and appropriate. Bright and spacious, clean and friendly. A must-see in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Very tasty and well made. Dinner was so good and ready in 30 mins. The soup was amazing but the pad Thai was a little spicy for my palette.
we were served by a waitress named Carol. she was lovely and awesome. we ordered the green curry chicken and chef's pad thai. it was the best pad thai and green curry chicken we had by far. we've been to a lot of thai restaurants in different cities but this place stands out. it is the best thai restaurant out there by far. the manager was really nice as well. oh, dont forget to try the thai iced tea. highly recommended.
One of the best green curries I’ve ever had. Delicious! Service is also very good as the ambience. Definitely coming back
Food is average for what you'd expect at a decent Thai place. Service is poor. Maybe they were understaffed, but our meal took an hour to come out. One of the orders came out wrong; the server never apologized, she just snatched it back up and we waited about another 30 minutes for the replacement (everyone else at the table had already finished their meals!). No apology was offered, no discount on the wrong meal, nothing. Our drinks were never refilled a single time. I realize it sounds like I may be exaggerating or overly picky, but I'm not at all.... It is really quite difficult to describe how disappointed we were with the overall experience. Portions are tiny; we all left hungry. Everything is overpriced. Oh and the tables are tiny! Not enough room for 4 guests.
Not the friendliest of service from hostess and server. Didn't check in how our meal is tasty. (Quite salty btw). Not recommended.
My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times, and we always have a good experience that keeps us coming back. The location is very handy if you're attending a play at the Festival Theatre: it's less than a 5-minute walk. The food is tasty and good value; I really love the green curry. The servers are all amazing: they are super friendly and helpful. The interior of the restaurant is also really nice, with a modern Thai vibe. Highly recommended.
Food is decent. Had the chefs special pad Thai. Not much different from regular except for additional $6. Service horrendous. Didn't bring what I ask for. Didn't check on us. Didn't refill water. Didn't bring my beer. Price wise I can find a much better quality and portion size in Toronto. Both my girlfriend and I are disappointed
My husband and I were spending one night away in NOTL in a hotel to celebrate my birthday. When we decided to go out to dinner we had no plan on where to go we opted to walk around and check out our choices. We walked by Niagara's Finest Thai and started drooling over the meals we saw people eating. We looked at the menu to make sure there were vegan options for me and saw there were plenty of options. We were sat right away. The service was friendly and prompted. Their covid protocols were on point too and we felt safe the entire time. BUT more importantly the food was fantastic. I ordered the Pineapple Currie (which yes you don't have to have it vegan and my husband had the Pad Thai with beef. We both throughly enjoyed our meals. We 100% would come back.
Green curry was extremely flavorful. There wasn't as much veggie as I would have expected or liked but there was tons of the curry sauce and that's the best part with the rice. We ordered it with shrimp and they were giant ???? and perfect done.
Service
The atmosphere is refined and the staff are polished and professional. I found the lunches to be of a satisfactory delicious size without leaving you with the need for doggy bag. The food on all my visits has been served promptly and hot. To be aware that the spiciness on the menu is accurate and not to be taken lightly. In my opinion one of the best spots on the Niagara strip.
Our server was very pleasant, she was also very helpful when we had any questions regarding the menu. I didn't have it but my husband had the soup and he said it was fantastic. We will definitely be going back again.
Great to find excellent Thai cuisine in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Have to say we are ethnic food junkies and love most international foods. Niagara's Finest Thai was a wonderful surprise. Only a few short steps from the Festival Theatre it a great place for lunch before a matinee or dinner. Service was excellent and welcoming. We like to share dishes and opted for the appetizer assortment and Pad Med Ma Muang (Cashew and Beef saute). The house prepared Peanut Sauce for the satay was excellent and the main was flavoured perfectly. A nice addition is the restaurant provides three signature sauces to accompany main dishes. Two spicy sauces and a flavoured soy sauce. Prices are reasonable and we will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.
Service was good, and so was the Green curry. My wife ordered Chef’s special Pad Thai, which was awful, they did take it back and bring something else which wasn’t as bad but we honestly felt both dishes smelled a little similar to dog food... We won’t go back, and I suggest if you go stick with one of the curries.
We’re visiting from Toronto, and this is some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had anywhere. Ingredients were fresh & good quality, and all the dishes were extremely flavorful. The house made hot sauces were also really good. Everything seemed really authentic. Would definitely recommend this place!
Me and my Girlfriend went out for a date night and decided upon Niagaras Finest Thai. We have never Had Thai food before and certainly not as traditional as NFT makes it. We were pleasantly surprised everything tasted delicious and unique. A new side of food we have not discovered yet! Our server Marta was also very polite and accomodating. Great experience and great staff. Will be going back again
Ordered the spicy noodles and the spicy basil Only veg in both were green beans and red pepper- Spicy noodle was flavourful, spicy basil was very bland - where was the basil? Sadly, disappointed
I am Thai woman visiting Niagara from the USA with my husband and 20 months old baby. My husband knows that I love thai food so much so he took me here by surprise. He said that this restaurant has the best rating among Thai restaurants in the area. We arrived here around 4 pm. The restaurant was empty except one person at the bar. However, we found out the restaurant was pretty fully booked. The restaurant manager kindly squeezed us in to the restaurant’s busy schedule. Our waiting staff I believe named Carol was very pleasant and professional. So overall we are happy with the service. In term of the price and portion, we ordered beef tenderloin kra pao, approximately $18 or $20/dish. The plate was decent size but full of green beans. Only a small amount of beef tenderloin. The second entree we ordered was the chef’s specialty “ Pla Lui Suan” $30/dish. It was deep fried basa fish. The fish fillet looked big from outside but when you bit through it, most of it is flour. There was a small amount of meat inside. I understand that this is a tourist area. I don’t mind paying higher prices but I expected a decent amount of meat when ordering protein. As for the taste, I am happy with the Pla Lui Suan taste, but very disappointed with beef tenderloin pad krapao- I hardly tasted anything from this dish. The dish was full of undercooked green beans. Only few basil leaves can be found in the dish. You can’t even smell the aroma from the basil in this dish. In conclusion, I am very happy with service of the restaurant but I think the restaurant needs to improve on the portion and the taste of beef Kra Pao. My husband and I have tried many thai restaurants in the USA that had and didn’t have Thai selection certificates. Although the restaurant is granted Thai Selection certificate, we still find this restaurant still has much to improve on.
Meal type
The BEST chicken pad tai around! Customer service is phenomenal. Every time I order over the phone, I’m welcomed by such a cheerful voice. Really nice to hear such happiness during this time.
The food's amazing! I ordered beef salad and stir-fried vegetables with organic chicken, tasted so good! The servers are very nice and friendly. I fully understood that since it is a sunday dinner time, the restaurant is very busy and kitchen staffs are working very hard, I waited a bit longer than I expected but the server was very nice to tell me my food were on the way. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Decided to eat local and gave this place a shot. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night and rightfully so, the food was delicious. Their Thai Mango Salad was so good! We enjoyed the food so much we didn’t even stop to take pictures of the mains - Pad Kra Pro and Pad Kee Mao. Our server Ajay was very nice and friendly. We felt so welcomed and he even gave us ice cream on the house since we were celebrating a birthday.
Dine in
Mall food court style Thai. Deeply over cooked veggie chunks in sauce. "Beef tenderloin" instantly recognizable as cheap Chinese takeaway style over-cooked beef flaps. Spring rolls appear factory made - all identical cylinders. Green curry contains zucchini and fried tofu, for some crazy reason. There are hints of an ancient past where this may have been an actual Thai restaurant - the pad Thai has hints of fish sauce, and the green curry is nicely aromatic. It is clearly now pre-made cheaply and slopped out from a heating tray on demand. Try Manchu Wok instead.
Picked up covid takeout. Appetizer platter ($ 23) included 4 mediocre spring rolls, 2 coconut shrimp (good), 2 chicken satay sticks (not much flavour) and a huge pile of shrimp chips. Not great value. The Signature Pad Thai ($ 24) was the worst Pad Thai we've ever eaten. Adequate chicken, two shrimp, and a mass of completely flavorless noodles. No sauce. Not even a peanut fragment. Very disappointing meal.
Great food, ambience and staff. Kid friendly. We will be back. Thanks!
Having a Thai restaurant in Niagara on the lake was a little odd. Most of the restaurants around here specify home cooking, and small-town charm. We were not expecting a Thai restaurant in the middle of this town. When we had dinner here there was a nice surprise, the food was excellent. The service was very well done, and the place had a nice atmosphere to it. Definitely a place you want to check out when you come to the city.
My husband and I decided to go for dinner before the show at the Shaw. We were seated by the host and he walked through the drink and food menu with us. Our waitress came and took our drink order - perfect timing!! We causally drank our wine and pondered the menu and then placed our appetizer and main course orders. We had coconut shrimp as an app and both us ordered the Chef’s Pad Thai. We have had Pad Thai in many places including a small restaurant in Toronto that raves about its Pad Thai (always was our favourite), but this dish was beyond good - it was the best we have ever had! We are so happy that we tried it and that being local, it’s close!! Carole was our waitress and she was awesome! Keep up the good work team! You gotta eat here!!!
It's hard to find a good Asian cuisine in the tourist area. This nice restaurant has all the vibes that I am looking for. Nice decor, kids friendly, tasty menu with all kinds of curries. The deep fried fish with green curry is particularly good. Strongly recommended.
Service was awesome , fast and friendly . I had jumbo coconut shrimp. They were mouth watering . The portions were generous as i was satiated before having my meal.
Good, but..... Recently went to this Thai restaurant with some family members and ordered 3 different dishes to try. The red curry was spectacular, the other two dishes (eggplant and cashew) and soup were average. The prices were reasonable for Niagara on the Lake.
Great tasting food that is reasonably priced in a great tourist town. Waitress however needs a more friendly and pleasant disposition
Not their finest hour. We were two for dinner on a weekend for an early sitting. The restaurant was about half full. Our apps were 20 minutes coming out which made us nervous about our theatre commitment. We both ordered spicy basil noodles with beef as mains which appeared a few minutes later. The table next to us saw one main arrive five minutes before her guest's dinner. Awkward! Our beef and green beans were cooked to perfection but the sauce was overly thickened and was too sweet. Service was friendly (and apologetic).
Extremely slow service and they waited until my pick-up time (1.5hrs post ordering) to tell me that they couldn’t make a dish I ordered. The food was outrageously overpriced for the quality we were given. We will not be back.
We got some takeout here to have a family picnic for our anniversary. We got green curry with organic chicken (love that there was an organic option) and the vegetarian spicy noodles. Both dishes were delicious and the green curry was so good that we went back and got a vegetarian one for me to have for lunch tomorrow. Servers were very friendly and overall we had a wonderful experience. I suggest getting chopsticks if you get the noodles - I forgot to ask and struggled with the flimsy fork. We will definitely be back here - I used to travel to Vietnam a lot for work and there was an authentic Thai restaurant that I frequented and this very much rivals it.
Waited for a long time to be seated, the server told us he would clean up our table for us but seem to have forgotten about us as he continued to serve other tables until we reminded him. The female server that took our order was friendly though and was definitely nicer. I ordered pad see ew(flat rice noodles) and it smelled awful, it stank and tasted like death... I have been to many Thai restaurants in many different cities and never have I had pad see ew like that. When I asked the server(the one that seated us) to change my order, he was not friendly and sounded arrogant, but still agreed to change my order for me. I got the pineapple fried rice at last, which tasted decent. The female server was much nicer about it when she brought my new order and made sure I was ok with my new order. Maybe it was because they only had two servers and two cooks, the wait time was horribly long. I would not go back.
Stumbled on this restaurant while enjoying a day at Niagara On The Lake. The food was absolutely fabulous and so was the service. The waiter was very attentive and made sure our drinks were never empty. I wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time!!
Tasty food, clean restaurant with a small menu. Very reasonably priced for Niagara on the Lake. Hope it stays this way. Helpful staff and excellent service.
I will give this place less than one star. The hostess to star with was very rude and unprofessional. The food was horrible. We take our family out for dinning on a regular basis to different Asian cuisine. We never had such a big disappointment. I will give a 4 stars to the Server Ajay. He was polite and friendly.
First time at this restaurant. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Really great food and fantastic service. I like that their two pepper rating is realistic and not actully mild. The pineapple red curry has a good bite without being too spicy. Cashew chicken is excellent. A little further along the street from the main shops and restaurants but well worth the extra block or two.
