We had 2 amazing meals. We had prime ribs 2 nights in a row because it was cooked to perfection! The first night I had crab cakes and my sister a baby lettuce salad which we loved. The second night, we both had the mushroom app which was really good also. No complaints here! We were not rushed out the door in any way.

Lovely atmosphere. Brunch was okay but had an extremely slow omelette station. The rest of the food was pleasing. Service crew are very nice and helpful. Random observation: the chairs looked rather dusty from the naked eye.

The Fabulicious event in February brought us to The Cannery and it was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and quite large but it feels very intimate at the same time. Our server Lisa was probably one of the best servers we've ever had. She was friendly, attentive and overall just provided the best service. The food was delicious and for $39.00 a person plus tax, it was so worth it for 3 courses. The food was not rushed out at all. We were able to enjoy a lovely night out.

Gorgeous restaurant. I and my husband had a dinner there while our small trip to Niagara-on-The-Lake. I would highly recommend this place. Waiters are very polite and friendly.

Best meal in Niagara on the Lake. We had slow roast prime rib and the stuffed chicken, both were perfect. The mushrooms in brandy sauce were amazing!!! I had a glass of a wine called the Goat Lady, delicioso! For dessert cheesecake and a tartlette with fresh local fruit and cream, perfect ending. Bravo chef and kitchen staff! My highest praise for Alice our server. Not only was her service perfect but she stepped in to help us when a colleague was too busy to do so. You can tell when a team is in sync and comes together to ensure your experience is great. *standing ovation*.

Great atmosphere. They did a great job at keeping tables apart by spreading everyone out throughout the large restaurant. The food was great including the free tasters. Soft drinks are a little expensive, in my opinion.

Honestly was very pleasantly surprised with the food! All the ingredients tasted so fresh. I had the tiger prawns and they were juicy, plump and lightly seasoned; i personally felt the filet mignon could have a more flavourful jus (and less blue cheese) but it was done perfectly medium rare. The mashed potatoes were SO creamy and melted in my mouth! I was the most impressed with the cheese cake as I felt the chef put a lot of thought in the presentation and in expertly crafting and combining the ingredients - there were many textures in the dessert which managed to compliment each other very well. A very enjoyable experience!

We were turned away for being locals. They told us they prioritize hotel guests and could not accommodate us. With so many great choices in Niagara, I’ll go somewhere else that’s appreciates locals business.

Service was great. Food was alright. We went Christmas day and they could not confirm allergens in the buffet so we ordered off the menu. Not a fan of buffets because you have to eat a lot to get your money's worth.

Drove up to this restaurant from Niagara Falls to celebrate my dad's 73 birthday. It was a perfect find. Nice enough to be worth the drive and the event without being fussy. The staff was kind to our children and the food was delicious!

Had an amazing experience at Cannery. The food is 5 star and the service was very friendly and professional. We started with the crab cakes and duck confit bruschetta which were both done with amazing flavor. For mains we both had steak, I had the special which was tenderloin and lobster tail and my husband had the Australian Wagyu ribeye. They were both done extremely well. The Wagyu beef, if you have never tried it, you really should, it doesn't even taste or feel like beef, it's almost like having a luxury piece of meat, so buttery. Highly recommend!

Definitely one of my absolute favourite places to eat, with scenic views, delicious food and attentive service. The deserts and mains are invited, and always worth the extra money for the ambience. This is a must go, preferably when you can dine indoors although outside was just as pleasurable.

This is known as one of the best restaurants in Niagara-on-The-Lake. The interior is exposed brick (everywhere) and wood beams. The service was good and the food was high caliber as you’d expect. We got a bottle which was placed next to our table to chill. Heard from another couple the Cannery does a great brunch as well. Great experience overall.

Went here for an anniversary brunch on Sunday. Atmosphere is nice. Spread wasn't really what I had expected. There is an omelette/waffle station. Carving station . Charcuterie spread. Hot table. Continental spread and deserts. Having the Chateau Frontenac as the last upscale brunch we had gone to our expectations were high. Our server was great and provided fantastic service. The food just wasn't as tasty as was expected and the omlette/waffle/carver server seemed annoyed with us. We were the first ones to his station and he actually checked his watch like he was seeing if he was on the clock yet. He forgot items in my husband's omlette. Mine was delicious, probably the best thing I had there. Good value for the money just not the 4 diamond experience I was hoping for.

The place is quite nice. The meal came with room package deal. A three course meal. It very good. We were sat right in front of the fireplace and it got too warm. Overall it was fine.

Dinner for four at the Cannery Restaurant, Pillar and Post, on Saturday, 5th May, 2018 (on a birthday occasion). Server was Sharon, who was excellent and helpful with selection and pairings. Group ordered a number of choices, all of which were wonderful.

Higher price for brunch but it is truly wonderful! Fresh cakes, foods, with an omlet and waffle station! Had my brunch desires fulfilled and then some! There is a wonderful outdoor pool that you need to snag a seat right away as it fills up quickly in this hot spot! Highly recommend this place for a weekend gateway to enjoy and recharge. Will come back here again soon!

A beautiful restaurant with an atmosphere of a cherished history of the area. The service, as expected, was fantastic and didn’t disappoint. Neither did the food: the portions were delicious, generous and very enjoyable! A great way to start the evening at the Pillar and Post.

Friendly service but extremely underwhelming breakfast. After reading about The Cannery, my wife and I drove here during a stay at Niagara. We really regretted it. My wife and I ordered the French toast and blueberry pancakes. Normally when we order such things at a nice restaurant, we get that restaurant’s twist on a classic breakfast dish. Rarely are we ever disappointed. However, the breakfast looked underwhelming from the get to. It looked “homemade” which isn’t bad but it wasn’t marketed that way. Then we tried the food and it was honestly some of the most bland breakfast we’ve ever had. We make better French toast and pancakes at home. We had to drown the dishes in maple syrup to get any flavour and get them down our throats. If you’re staying here, feel free to try it out. But please don’t drive here for breakfast.

I've dined at the Cannery twice now and both times were exceptional. My last visit was in December 2017 and loved all the festive decorations. The tree in the front entrance was beautifully decorated. This restaurant has excellent service. Our server was friendly, made excellent wine recommendations and meal suggestions. Our meal was superb. And the restaurant itself although large, has an intimate cozy feel to it. I love the exposed brick. Another great feature is the shuttle service Vintages has between hotels - no walking or having to hail a cab to get to your next destination. Exceptional evening out.
