As a long time enthusiast of Strada West since opening as I live around the corner. I've been ordering the spaghetti carbonara only as they make it the best in the business. I have always found the prices reasonable to the portion size as you don't receive salads with the pasta here. I recently ate here on Valentine's day and as a long time customer I was insulted by the portion size given to mine and my girlfriends linguini pescatore. To the point where I asked the server if they had changed their portion sizes. She claims they didn't and even asked the kitchen to which I got a response the chef is new and piles instead of spreads (?) but no changes were made to portion size. I must say that there was a significant difference to my usual course size of which I always have leftovers. Furthermore the key to the carbonara, the egg on top was overcooked. The restaraunt WAS busy. But this is unreasonable to receive different service. And to leave a restaraunt hungry after a full course is a sin in this business. Im hoping this is a one off but i won't be back here for awhile.

We have dined here on countless occasions. The restaurant provides a rustic atmosphere with plates that are sophisticated to match. More often then not, we are very pleased with the selection of entrees. Today, unfortunately was a rare occasion where the service was not as sharp as it usually is. We placed an order for an entree and it was accidentally forgotten to be brought to the table. We were charged, but it was taken off our bill when we mentioned that we did not receive it. There was no quality check after the food was delivered and this would have been appreciated since the patio was extremely hot and 3 out of 5 water glasses were empty. It was a special occasion and the complimentary birthday cheese cake was appreciated, however it is hard to overlook the service delivered and we may not return as frequently as we have done so in the past.

Great food, and classy atmosphere. Their patio is small and nice for sitting out on a warmer day. Always look forward to dessert for a piece of cheesecake. Their selection is usually pretty extensive, and portion is large enough to share. Always look forward to going back with family and friends!

I went here for a dinner on a Friday night with a bunch of my friends as we were visiting the Niagara area over the long weekend. The food here was quite nice and the interior of the restaurant was nice as well. When we were there, there was a live musician playing his guitar and singing too. I ordered the pasta and shared it with my girlfriend. Was quite tasty.

Reservations were made a week in advance. It started raining just before we arrived and due to covid patios are the only option. So once we pulled into the parking lot we called as all covered tables were full to see an estimated wait time as we did have reservations and were willing to wait for an hour or so for a covered table. The lady in the phone told us we could either order take out and eat in our car or wait and see if the rain holds out because she couldn't give is an estimated wait time. To be honest it looked like it was going to rain all day and I would assume that a table should have been held if you knew you were having a reservation at a certain time. Good way to ruin an anniversary! Very upset and I will be telling everyone I know to never eat here. The food might be good but the staff are awful.

Sat on the patio, service was a little slow but not horrible. Placed our order, appetizers came quick and were delish. Half way through our waitress informed my wife that they ran out of penne noodles and asked if she wanted to substitute rigatoni or spaghetti or order something totally different, she chose spaghetti, it was ok, I had ravioli it was ok. The waitress did not charge us for my wife's dish which we told her was not necessary but she did anyway. All in all it was ok not bad but not fantastic either.

I ordered online and messed it up so bad. Paid and waited and waited and still no confirmation on pick up time. Called the restaurant and asked and was told I made it for tomorrow....oops big mistake...felt horrible because at this point it was already 7:30 and they close at 8. The person I spoke to said they would get the order ready right away and come in 20 mins. At 7:55 I picked up my food and it was absolutely delicious. I wanted to apologize for being a horrible customer tonight but send so many thanks for such a great dinner.

I had a fabulous lunch today with a close friend and enjoyed every momment of my stay.. the Menu had changed a bit from the site ao the sitr needs to be updated but was inlive with the Daniellea salad i had .. Currently still standing here 45 mins after my reservation time and am extremely disappointed with the service. The hostess is not polite and does not seem to care that e have been patiently waiting. Other people have come in and been sat outside on the patio with reservations after us and we were told we could not sit outside. Don't think I will return again. Upon entry, the environment was pleasing to the eye mixing traditional Italian imagery with modern design. Unfortunately, the music was fairly douchy top 40 music and I often found myself yelling to make conversation. I felt like I was in a club which I grew out of. Service was quick and polite. Our dinner came faster than most places will get you an appetizer which was shocking. Even more shocking are the prices which are just a cut more expensive than a binge meal at McDonalds. The food I received wasn't out of this world but for the price I can't complain. If anything only praise it as it wasn't greasy or bland. Don't expect a huge pallet of flavours swirling in your mouth like other fancier European restaurants but it will still tastefully curb your hunger. I would rate it a few cuts below places like Grazie but way above places like Johnny Rocco. Great place to go with coworkers and friends. Wouldn't recommend at all for a date.

I've been here a few times and nothing really changes. Every waiter we've had has been mediocre. It's like they don't care about a tip. The food is good and portions are decent. It's usually quite loud. Not for you if you're looking for an intimate dining experience. I went for our office Christmas party tonight with ten of my co-workers and the waitress acted like we were a burden on her to be there. She had zero personality, was snotty with requests and forever to give us any service....even with a 2/3 empty dining room.

I always love Strada West as my wife and I come for lunch all the time. We brought our 9 year old son for dinner with us and he got the ravioli from the kids meal. The kids meal is up to 12 year old. When his meal came it has only 2 ravilois a blob of sauce and a tiny piece of bread. Our two meals on the other hand were huge! We quickly gave him some of our meals and it was fine but I was pretty disappointed.

What set Strava west apart for me was the exceptional quality of ingredients. The service could have been slightly more accommodating, but our server was nonetheless polite and efficient. The open concept of the dinning room results in a rather noisy dinning experience. Food was served hot, and delicious. If you are not drinking alcohol expect to pay between 25-30 dollars a person.

Went here after having it be recommended to me, and was not disappointed. I had the spaghetti carbonara, which was nice and creamy. Even though it was very busy, the service was still nice and quick. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekend though! Because it was so busy, it was quite loud. If you are looking for a quieter, more intimate meal, I would not recommend it on the weekends for dinner.

We just got back not too long ago, our second visit just us no guests. This was our second visit from the first one three weeks ago, Tom the owner had reached out and we went in to have another opportunity. This time not only the food was excellent, service was also excellent. A jammed packed Saturday with no reservations we walked in just happened to have the only table for us. We were quickly served and the service was amazing thx to Vanessa our server fast yet friendly and attentive. We had different dishes this time and ordered drinks. What an excellent place to have a fine Italian dinner. I had the Gemelli pasta and shrimp with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto. My husband had their 10oz sirloin way better than The Keg. Our drinks were great I had a martini with lemoncella, vodka, sugar and ginger beer served in a copper mug. Great selection of wine to go with your meals, my husband made an excellent choice of white wine from their list. Excellent place, we will definitely call this our fine dining Italiano. Btw: the appetizers were phenomenonal! I never eat calamari but tried my husband's, was amazing my stuffed mushrooms were The Best. We both give our five star thumbs up!!! Thank you Tom and staff!!!

Went to Strada West for lunch today, since it's right around the corner from our home. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and it wasn't very busy when we did order. It did get busier as we waited. When the food did arrive, my fries were severely undercooked. My wife's duck pizza had one piece of duck per slice...so basically one bite of duck per slice. Probably would have been better if they cut those pieces and distributed a bit better. The server offered to get me new fries, but after such a long wait, we just wanted to eat and get out of there. Bottom line, server was great, but the food and lengthy wait times will keep us away in the future.

The waitress and kitchen crew manage to cut and bread a fresh piece of chicken for me. Thought it was nice of them. Good variety of cheesecake as well. Overall we had a nice time. A nice but casual restaurant. The staff were friendly and very fast but without feeling overbearing. I had a pesto and shrimp pasta that was absolutely fantastic. Atmosphere is good but very loud. There is absolutely nothing to absorb the noise so it's sometimes hard to hear what your friends are saying. Reasonable priced wines which is important when eating delicious Italian food!

We came to have dinner with our daughters on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not very busy to start, and we were seated quickly. Unfortunately it took well over an hour to receive our food. We ordered pasta which traditionally should be one of the quickest dishes to make and serve. Everyone that seemed to come in after us were getting their food and I was stuck trying to tell my kids that I know it's not fair and I'm really sorry and try to be patient. In the end they gave us 25% off our meal. No manager came over to apologize at all. The poor waitress kept apologizing and of course none of this was her fault. What a diassapoint. Would never eat here again.

My sisters and I has lunch here, they were incredibly kind and although there is no vegan options on their menu, the chef was very accommodating and willing to make me a vegan risotto or a pasta suitable for me. They went above and beyond to accommodate me which is rare to find! Very nice interiors and felt upscale. Great place for a date or special occasion

I have to say the cheesecake is amazing however we went again last night for dinner and was a little disappointed. It was my wife's dish. We have had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken (daughter included) in the past and it was great and had a great amount of chicken (breast cut up). This time I look over at the dish and saw literally 5 slivers of chicken and it tastes like the frozen chicken strips. Definitely not being consistent. Not sure if they ran out of fresh chicken from their party if 70 prior to our arrival. Consistency is key especially for locals who would be eating out during off-peak months.

Strada is a nice place for a date night or dinner with family. We were on the patio and it was lovely. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The duck pizza was delicious and I recommend the cheesecake too! The only thing I'd say is that we thought a couple of the dishes could have used a bit more salt, but could just be personal preference. Either way we'll definitely go back.

we got takeout for 4 here. personally did not enjoy the lobster ravioli, taste was good but it was only about 6-7 pieces of just ravioli squares no toppings at all. not even a sprinkle of parsley or parmesan for that money. my parents enjoyed their asian sesame salad as well as the fries and fish (can confirm fries was ok). my partner had mixed feelings about the chicken dish with spaghetti. chicken was great but the side of spaghetti was plain and out of place. that’s all i can say.

Parking out front is limited. Prices are just okay. Portions are somewhat small. The Cherry Cream Cheesecake is great. I love the contemporary atmosphere. That is the main reason that I eat here. I forgot to mention, a month earlier, that they erected tasteful plexiglass partitions between many tables; which means you eat in the company of others which is nice; but you don't hear their conversations which is even nicer. Oh, and did I mention the Cherry Cheesecake and the trendy vibe of the place? LOL

You get a decent portion (a slab, roughly 3x3 inches) & there is Always a different selection, depending on season, with cherry being one of the main flavors, always available. Just picked up take out and order pasta al forno for the first time. Where is the sauce and cheese? Its basically noodles, a few tomatos and a bunch of ground beef. Very disappointing. Our hotel recommended this place to eat, it was pass 9 pm and wanted to eat a heavy dinner after a long day at Niagara Falls. Ate out in the patio where there was live music. Great food, friendly service. Highly recommended. I ordered for Carbonara ( $18) and Duck Salad ( $13.95), Draft beer ( $7.50) and Lemonade ( $9), all in CAD. There is a ice cream place in the same strip. Bonus, their wifi is super fast

It's pretty good. There is a seafood pasta dish my wife absolutely loves. However the hamburgers are not that great. Very dry in my opinion. When inside it's very open and there is not much privacy. It seems acoustic as I can hear everyone's conversations. I do like the patio albeit it isn't huge.

Went there for the first time. Appetizers -- stuffed mushroom, antipasto and caesar salad - all amazing. Main courses -- linguini pescatore, fettuccine alfredo and veal ravioli Dessert -- after eight , oreo and kit kay cheesecake I would go back again for dinner. Only thing is I would share the dessert. If Elliot is cooking - I would absolutely go back (he is an amazing young man)

It's a great place to get all dressed up and go out with friends or your significant other for drinks and/or dinner. I don't find it a great atmosphere for kids, but its a good reason to go out with the grown up! Yes, it can be pricey but there is nowhere like it in this area so I don't mind!

The food wasn't that great, almost no one can wear a mask properly, I was seated where I could see the kitchen and the people plating my food were wearing their masks as chin straps. There was one young blonde female server who wore her mask properly the entire time I was there, she's my favourite for sure. I'm sorry but it's really not that hard to wear a mask and pretty off-putting knowing that everyone in the kitchen is spreading their rhespitory droplets all over my food. With covid cases on the rise I would definitely recommend staying far away from this place.

My family and I chose this restaurant for a special 67th birthday meal. We were a table of 7 with a mix of elderly and middle aged people. I personally called this restaurant ahead of time to book a reservation. Upon arrival we found out that a presentation on FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL PLANNING was occuring in the main dining hall. A part of paying for a restaurant is for the food, environment and ambience. The employee that took the reservation not once mentioned this funeral presentation over the phone or even extend the general courtesy of notice on the day of. It totally ruined the atmosphere of the birthday party. I was pissed this restaurant could be so unprofessional and inconsiderate of thier customers. None the less we carried on because of the numerous good reviews. The appetizers were slow to be plated. Once I realized service was slow, i then timed how long it took for our mains to be plated and served. It took well over 20 min for us to be served. I suspect THE FUNERAL PRESENTATION may have slowed the kitchen staff down. Needless to say we didn't stay for dessert and got the bill immediately. The waitress we had was fantastic. She was polite , fast and my water was always topped off. A+ for her. The food itself - solid B to A level food. We got the duck pizza and the percuitto pizza. Both were tasty and well worth the money. Unfortunately 2 of our other appetizers were not cooked properly and the waitress removed it from our bill. I was very pleased she did this and I cannot knock the waitress in anyway. The pasta is about a B. Its average to above average. But the pizza was the real winner here. I won't be returning to this restaurant because of thier failure to inform us of the funeral presentation. If you go to this place I would suggest the pizza, call ahead of time and see if any events are happening and prepare for potentially slow service.

The draft in here is ridiculous... they need a buffer zone or more heaters or something. The chicken in the chicken cacciatore had the chicken content of about 2 chicken wings. The rest was all pasta and bread and the sauce was way over salted. I appreciated the paprika infused croutons in the caesar salad and the decor was nice. However it was still a big disappointment in many ways. Also the service was far too slow.

Strada is a great little place on Lundy's Lane with good food, wine & great staff. We are local and it is definitely one of our favourite go to places in Niagara. We love the cheesecake. Please note, the pics attached is also of mussels after eating them. Big bowl for mussels, small bowl for shells. LoL

I called to be put on the waiting list 2 hours prior to arriving I was told they will not put me on a waiting list they don’t do that just to come in, after arriving I was told they are at capacity already which I understand but they were clearly well over the capacity that is aloud during Covid I waited in my car for people to leave went back in and asked if I could now be seated but was told no because even after several people leaving apparently were still at capacity... I asked if I could now be put on a waiting list because I came in in person she said no there’s people who called ahead and are already on the list I asked why I wasn’t put on the list when I called two hours prior and was told “we don’t do that” the waitress said sorry I don’t know who answered the phone to me and she said the owners friends were coming in and “they can’t say no to them” so I wouldn’t be able to wait to be seated. My wife and I have been here prepandemic and enjoyed ourselves but this last visit annoyed us so much I had to write a review about our experience...if it saves atleast one other couple from wasting their time then it will all be worth it. We attempted to go to another restaurant 2 min down the street. We were told by the other establishment before we left the house that they did not take reservations but the patio was wide open with lots of room. When we arrived 20 min later we found the patio packed with a long waitlist. We understand restaurants have suffered during the pandemic but outright lying to their customers and hoping they will stick around and wait is just ignorant and disrespectful... We looked on Google and noticed Stada West was just 2 min down the road so we called and asked about availability. Just like the last place, they confirmed they were not taking reservations but that the patio had lots of room. I then proceeded to ask "Are you sure? We are literally 2 min down the road and are coming right away"... They said "yes, come now". Well guess what...we get there 3 min later and experience the exact same thing...patio packed with a large waitlist. My wife and I am have been sympathetic to restaurant owners and their employees during the pandemic and have made every effort to support our local restaurants but this latest experience has eroded all that built up sympathy. Treat your customers with respect and you will earn their return business, lie or deliberately mislead them and lose them for life...

Friend took us there for lunch and food was amazing,we had platter of cold antipasto, grilled vegies to die for and veal parmigiana with grilled vegetables. After we went few more times and they have amazing italian burger instead of fries we took salad and I can recomend this restaurant to anybody who likes good Italian food.

My wife and our friends go here all the time. We recently visited as we always do. The food was great. Our only complaint is our server was not wearing her mask properly. She had it half way down her face, and would take it down to speak to our table as well as other tables. This just left me feeling uncomfortable. Would like to see the person handling our food and interacting us with wearing a mask properly.

Ate here a few times. Was a little expensive for my tastes but once in a while, it's a fine place to bring a loved one and enjoy some fine food. An excellent restaurant in the Niagara Falls scene!

We booked a reservation for my mothers birthday hoping for a great experience. We had been before and it was great. Tonight was anything but. The service from the start was absent and to the point of rude. The food experience felt like this was becoming a Clifton hill tourist trap as opposed to a fine dining local experience. Overall an extremely disappointing night and we will not be returning.

Food was delicious. We went a little late in the evening and it was more set up for nightlife, rather than dinner. If I go back I would eat earlier, I am boring and like it to be a bit more quiet. I highly recommend this restaurant, it was beautiful and the food was great.

The service was timely and friendly. Ordered the jack burger which was cooked well and tasted delicious. The banana popsicle drink was also quite good.

amazing food! had the calamari and mushroom caps as apps. my boyfriend has the veal ravioli and it was wonderful..light tomato sauce with so much flavor. I had the seafood risotto. TO DIE FOR!! You HAVE to eat here!!

I'm not a fan. We have been 3 or 4 times and are always disappointed. The last time I ordered the lemon butter fish with veg risotto. Huge disappointment!!! I must have reached for the salt and parm 3 times just to give it some flavor.
