I planned a surprise getaway for my partner and our friend group to Niagara to celebrate birthdays and this place did nothing but impress. Everything from atmosphere to the dessert was unbelievably phenomenal. This was an amazing experience and shout out to our amazing server, Lauren who was quick, attentive, and funny. Definitely a must go-to in Niagara

I had a reservation for 4 people at 8. We got seated at 8 but a server didn’t come unt 8:50. NOTHING, no water no hello just ignored us. When we finally got a waitress she was so nice and apologized immediately and we got drinks a be bread. We waited until 9:40 and she came by and told us we were still 5th line in for our food and by that point we were both starving and exhausted from trying to get the attention of anyone at the restaurant. Our server told us that if we wanted to leave it would be okay and the 2 drinks we order would be on the House. It was our first night at Niagara and by far the worst experience. We watched all the tables beside us (who came in after us) be served before us. Will never come again and won’t recommend to anyone visiting who wants to get any service. Absolutely terrible.

One of the best restaurants in town, top food quality and the taste is amazing. I ate one of the best burgers that I ever tried in my life, this was really unforgettable. the stuff is very friendly, if you are hesitant and do not know what to get, ask them what they recommend and you will never be disappointed, they are very generous as well! I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 as we have waited for 1.5 hours to get our food ready, but in the end the food was 10/10.

Before I get to the meal portion of the review I’ll start by saying I was initially excited to dine here. The reviews seemed good and thought this would be a suitable place for date night. We were sat at a table on the patio, once seated I informed the waitress that our table was not level and if we could be re-seated. She assured us that they would correct it. She didn’t even bring out a few coasters to fix the leg. I ended having to keep my weight on the foot all evening to stabilize the table. Ok, whatever. We’ve all sat at the bad table. I don't let it ruin my meal. Our waitress continuously removed her mask while attending tables. Again. Not my job to police her. But starting to get a bit sour. Now on to the food. This may have been the worst steak I have ever been served. I ordered the 12oz Ribeye ($45) + a lobster tail, mashed, veggies. Added the caramelized onions. Why not go all out? Well the steak was a perfect medium rare. The one thing they got right. The cut of meat was horrid. I expect some heavier marbling when you order this cut, but there was fat and grizzle which had to be spit out. Overall it accounted for about 1/4 of the the whole piece. The potatoes were burnt, the carrots undercooked, the beans overcooked. The onions are not caramelized. Softened and the covered in butter? But not what I expected for an additional $5. The lobster tail ($29) had so much seasoning it was gritty. The wife had the seafood linguine, which she described as “average” but that’s no compliment being pasta is the one dish you can’t screw up. Right before our departure, the owner? took notice that I didn’t care for the meal and when I said it was a bad cut, he played it off like I didn’t know what a steak was? Overall $175 wasted. I’ve had a better steak at Kelsey’s. Save your money and go somewhere cheaper for this quality. Or better yet, go to a real steakhouse. If my friends ever ask for a suggestion, I would actively steer them away.

Steak was fantastic, apps were good. Server "pushed the wrong button on the screen" and my friend who was hosting us got a different steak than he ordered. They still served it and he wasn't happy. Server seemed more interested in talking about her own restaurantthan this one.. Pasta selections were good. Wine was decent.

There were several ordered items we had to send back to the kitchen ( undercooked steak, dry chicken , over-burnt creme brulee) but the staff and owner were amazing. There were no arguments and nothing but apologies. We were offered replacement meals and the desserts were taken off our bill. I would definitely visit again, purely based on my experience with the staff. Well done Sandstone Grillhouse.

What a wonderful restaurant. Lots of different options on the menu, food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our server Karen was absolutely amazing, so kind and attentive. The bartender working was hilarious and she provided lots of laughs. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back next time I’m in Niagara!

Best Italian food in Canada by far. These are real Italianos, they take care of you like family, their servings are Italiano sized as well. Best service & out of this world gud fud. Absolutely delicious with real Italiano flare & flavor. Also the prices are very moderate, they should be charging more. Wonderful experience & awesome staff. Much love ????

Walked in with no reservations. Lucky they had a table. The waiter was awesome, forgot his name sorry. Had the steak special with shrimp and the wedge salad. All 5 star. Price is on par with keg or other stake house, but this one had a friendlier feel to it ( probably due to the waiter). Next time at the falls we will be going back. ** Update ** went back for a second time, now during covid. Its 100% still 5 star. Clean, mask rules in effect. The food was simply amazing as was the server. Keep it up guys , best place in niagra to get a steak imo!!!!

We tried a local wine and beer to start. Both were great. My husband got the potato leek soup of the day, 14oz Ribeye and mashed potatoes. We added the grilled mushrooms and onions. I ordered the small Caesar salad and the lasagna. The complimentary garlic bread was a nice addition. We ate outside on the patio. Everything was very good and the service was wonderful. We highly recommend Sandstone Grillhouse for a romantic night out.

One of the most underwhelming restaurants my wife and I have ever ate at. The calamari was standard. The steak was standard. The lamb shank was below standard. The ribs were just straight up garbage. We ordered sautéed mushrooms which seemed like they came out of a can. The caramelized onions were not remotely close to being caramelized. The food was eddible but we expected way better for the price we paid for. Way better food for price around. Spend your money elsewhere The place isn't welcoming, ASIANS BEWARE. Stay far away

Delicious food and excellent service! We celebrated our first year anniversary in Niagara Falls and after a bit of searching we decided to have dinner here. It did not disappoint. We shared crab cakes, lamb shank and fillet mignon. Everything was delicious. Our server was quick and attentive. Parking was available off the street and free which is nice. Will definitely come back to try other menu items!

Came her with colleagues for a very late lunch/early dinner after visiting a winery. The food was such a lovely surprise. Made a last minute reservation and came here with no expectations having zero knowledge about this restaurant since we're not from the area. Everyone was greatly satisfied! Our party of 5 all ordered from their prix fixe menu (steak, salmon, cordon bleu, and seafood pasta) and every single dish was cooked to perfection, with distinct flavour for each dish, and it was well-portioned. The servers were attentive and even the owner gentleman took the time to say hello to our table. It was a wonderful dinner and will definitely bring my family when we come by the Niagara region again.

Had high hopes when making a reservation to eat here, but ended up leaving quite disappointed... I am only giving 2 stars because my wife and I both enjoyed our salads, but my 12oz rib eye steak was underseasoned (it tasted like it had a bit of Olive oil brushed on it and was slapped on the grill) and 1/3 of the steak was fat and grissle; and my wife's seafood trio was overcooked, in her own words "the steamed vegetables are the best part of this plate", her scallops and lobster and shrimp were all overdone to the point of leaving the scallop and half the lobster tail on the plate to be thrown away. There are more negative things I could mention, but I will leave this review focused on the disappointment of the food. There are many other local restaurants much more deserving of the $200+ that I just spent. I hope that this helps some of you people out there trying to find a nice place to have dinner..

Great experience dining at Sandstone Grillhouse. I did my research looking at fellow Google reviews and they did not disappoint. Food and service was excellent. COVID protocols were in place (dined Friday August 20th 2021, 8PM reservation) but place was clean and staff wore masks. Pretty sure the owner came to even check in to ensure we were being taken care of. Overall fabulous experience and would highly recommend. ???? Quick side - they have a wonderful Price Fixe menu that you should take advantage of. Ranging in $39/$49/$59 for a selection of starters/entrée (which dictate the price)/and dessert. Also the kids menu is the same but for $12 and the portions and quality are really top notch. This place is our new date night go to! Our server Karen was great. She was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. My fiancé had the lamb shank with vegetables and the meat melted off the bone. I had the NY strip with vegetables and it was cooked exactly to my liking. I came here for a father's day dinner from Vancouver BC. It surpassed all of my expectations! I was amazed with the service and the delicious food. I could eat their food every day. We did not make reservations but they kindly fit us in anyway. They had a special 3 course meal on the menu with many different choices of appetizers and entrees.We chose a 12 ounce New York strip to share as we were'nt that hungry.The already buttered loaf of bread that came to our table was hot and crusty!We had 2 delicious crab cakes as our appetizer which had great crab flavor and not a lot of filler.Our New York strip was cooked to perfection and was nicely laid on a bed of homemade mashed potatoes and tasty stirfried veggies! The final course was a piece of cheesecake that had nicely drizzled strawberry topping. Karen was a great,attentive waitress and we were very impressed at the lovely Christmassy way the resturaunt was decorated.Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

But staff was very nice and without us complaining the restaurant manager came and asked about our opinion about food and he went and checked the food after he heard about quality issue and was sorry for that,and offer us dessert on house. The food was delicious, the patio done well, the server, even though she was new was awesome and the drinks were fairly priced. Don't go to a chain restaurant. Go to these independent unique places, you won't regret it.

I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the ribeye steak. It had lots of connective tissue that I couldn’t chew and had to spit out into the napkin. The starters were fine but the summer mixed green salad had sugar crystals all over it which is odd when they could substitute with any liquid sweetener. Although the food was lacking, the staff was accommodating which is why I give this place a two star rating. In a place like Niagara where there is no shortage of steakhouses, you are better off going to the Keg or Remingtons.

We came to the falls on Sunday June 6th and ordered our dinner from Sandstone. We ordered the dinner for 4 people that included salmon with lobster cream sauce, shrimp skewer, rice, vegetables, Caesar salad, and cheesy garlic bread. it was a wonderful meal. One of the best I've had in recent memory. Service was excellent, food was on time and hot. I am not partial to lobster, but the cream sauce was wonderful. We brought home the leftover sauce, rice and veggies and added our own cooked chicken to it and yum!!!! The meal was and excellent value...please try this place, you won't be disappointed!

I went in with high expectations as this place was recommended to me by family, But I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered the seafood trio with potatoes it's a very small portion and lacks flavours($49) my lobster had an awful taste and was like rubber extremely overcooked as well as the cooking of the shrimp, scallops were OK, Potatoes were under done as well. For the price of the plate I expected something alot better. The service was great though our server was very polite and courteous. I was also disappointed and surprised that they don't have sour cream here. Over all my experience was disappointing and I will not be returning.

So glad we looked up a local eatery for steaks and ended up at this family run establishment. We didnt call ahead for a reservation but were easily able to find seating. Parking was free (unlike most places in NF). The bartender (:owner?) Welcomed us in and a cheerful waitress was quick to share the day's specials. At 40$ for a starter and entree (generous portion of steak with compound butter, truffle mash and glazed vegetables) we were just as quick to make our choice. Service was fast and good. For the starter we order the corn chowder and Greek salad which were both very nicely done. Loved that they had a peppermill to spice up my chowder. We ordered our steaks medium rare and when the plates arrived i was a bit concerned by the char on the outside but my fears were misplaced; the steak was cooked perfectly and EVERY thing on the plate was delicious. I am sure the rest of the menu would have been just as good. Highly recommended especially for a quiet meal for 2. Oh, and the music selection was great for us too :)

Food was delicious. Took a while but the servers kept us informed the entire time and even offered us an extra drink on the house due to the wait.. it was a little hidden as it's not in the populated area of Niagara but it's well worth it.

One of the best restaurants Niagara has to offer. Walking in we were greeted and immediately seated, we were a table of 7. The menu was reasonably priced, it may seem expensive to some people, but I think was well worth the price as the flavour and portions were more than satisfying. The pictures below are the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the Mediterranean goat cheese chicken, they were delicious. Our server was nice and polite. Overall a great atmosphere and would go back next time we’re on Niagara.

My wife and I decided to get away for the weekend now that some restrictions have been lifted. Chose this restaurant as it got good reviews. Arrived at 8 and sat until 8:30 before anyone even acknowledged us. When our waitress finally attended our table, she told us we should have said something (we tried to get the attention of a few waiters). Our waitress was really nice and we did have another waiter come by who was great too but the food and experience was mediocre at best...unfortunate because we really wanted it it be good.

The sandstone hospitality was was amazing. So warm.and inviting. I highly recommend stopping in and eating from their great selection of food. I personally had their house made lasagna and it was delicious. Large portions and great flavors. I give them 5 stars. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing! Excellent service and food was delicious! We shared the classic for two with the Greek salad, gnocchi and ribeye steak combo. Highly recommend it for sharing. It’s more than enough for two. Our children had the cheeseburger and buttered noodles and they were happy too. They also had a Canadian Shirley temple which they raved over. Brandy was our waitress and we couldn’t ask for better service. She was friendly and attentive.

I’ve never written a review about any restaurant but after attending Sandstone Grillhouse I felt like it was necessary. I did my research on google and yelp prior to making the reservation and let me say these reviews don’t lie. We had the pleasure of being served by Meghan and Lauren. Their service was pleasant, warm, accurate and timely, considering it was also a long weekend, The owner Danny also came to check on our tables. The food was AMAZING!!!!! The presentation, taste, portion, price and temperature was PERFECT! When I say the food was good I meant it was GREAT! We were also very pleased to see that the COVID-19 protocols were being met. I was apart of a party of 23 on Friday Sep 3, 2021 and my family I were very pleased so some of us went back for dinner the following day. Great food, professional staff and excellent service. This experience was short of nothing!

Night out we sat at the bar first for a cocktail then we got seated, Megan was our server it was a pleasure having such great service! We both had the twin lobster tails completely cooked to perfection so tender , complements to the chef. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine can’t wait to come back . Tried this restaurant after reading all the positive reviews and it truly exceeded my expectations. Well priced, generous portions and high quality food. You will not get better value for your money at any other steakhouse along the tourist strip in Niagara. Even their complimentary bread was impressive! Warm, fresh and generously seasoned with garlic butter. Very friendly service, even though they were busy during peak dinner time, all the staff were welcoming and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your experience. I loved the touch of cloth tablecloths and ambient table lighting. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others and I will definitely be back! I am quite surprised by some of the negative reviews. This place is great and should be on everyone's list of establishments to try!

Zero customer service. Front desk girl was rude and there was NO SOCIAL DISTANCING- even though half the restaurant was empty, we were seated right next to a full seated bar. Food was over priced. For a $50 steak, it was really bland. I would have walked out before putting in our order but the rest of my group was starving. My recommendation is to go to the Keg and get better service and a tastier steak. Please see photo... fake grill marks.

Food was alright... steak didn't really seemed seasoned with anything. Service was awful. Place was busy but wouldn't see our server for up to 20 minutes at a time. Had to flag down the hostess to get her to send over the server on more than one occasion. Got our orders wrong, had to wait 20 minutes for the machine after we got the bill, etc. Its the cheaper steakhouse available in the area, but at the price of dinner, pay a little extra and go somewhere you'll really enjoy. I wish I had.

Service: Our waitress was amazing and quite courteous and patient. Food: the filet mignon was outstanding. The new York strip was great as well. My daughter loved the spaghetti and marinara sauce. However, The garlic bread was burnt and we couldn't eat it. Some of the calamari was too crispy. Apart from these, we were satisfied.

ABSOLUTELY BEST RESTAURANT IN NIAGARA FALLS!!! My only regret is we did not find this place sooner. My husband and I ate here for our last night in Niagara Falls and it was spectacular. The host sat us quickly and we were greeted by our server, who was so attentive and friendly. Our entrée was personally delivered by the restaurant's owner, who made sure everything was perfect and to our liking. The food was impeccably presented, fresh and delicious. My husband said his lobster tail was the best he had ever eaten. I had Chicken Parmigiano which was amazing. We had eaten at alot of other places before here which were overpriced and the quality of food was subpar. Break free from the tourist trap...the ambiance, the quality of food, the caring nature of the staff and the price tag will make you happy you did. Don't miss out on this hidden gem. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the food before we ate. The portions were generous and we had a lot of leftovers.

It was our first time trying this place and probably won't be back. The food was delicious but we waited more than 40 mins for our appetizers and our waiter completely neglected us after we got our food, like didn't ask us if we needed anything, refills on our drinks, water... Nothing. After seeing so many great reviews we were very excited, especially since it was my birthday but maybe it was due to me being one of the only black woman in there, I have no clue, however didn't appreciate being treated that way especially since we spent well over $200 that night. Definitely won't be back.

First time here. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was definitely on the ball. The 8oz steak i had was cooked to perfection and every bite was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had the pleasure of having New Year's Dinner here. Had a prix fixe menu great choices, always fantastic food. Our waitress Meghan was the best, so helpful and very very friendly.

Was told about this place by a good friend that lives in the area. With a few of the guys. We made reservations on yelp app guess this area at this time is very slow we where only ones on there. Serviece food was all amazing..... The calamari not the best I had but very good. The cesear salad was also good chopping bacon would have been better. The bread was very good The steak was amazing. I got a 14 oz rib eye medium well Chicago style. Over all fantastic experience. The price was very good. You want to try a great meal that's great value and amazing food try sandstone .

Reservation can easily be made via Yelp. When we arrived the place was super nice, good location. Our server was very friendly and everything on the menu seems amazing! Good variety. I got the chicken parm and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The portions are huge and the food tastes homemade and fresh. Checkout the deserts they have a good selection and the lava cake is amazing. The owner of the place is very friendly and makes his number one priority that everyone has a good time and is enjoying their food. Overall 10/10 would totally recommend and will visit again when in the area.

While visiting Niagara Falls we decided to try Sandstone Grillhouse for the last seating of the evening. We asked for a medium and medium-rare steak and when our steak arrived it was completely RAW in the middle. For the first time ever at a restaurant we sent our food back to the kitchen. However, one steak was still undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen a second time. Upon returning my steak the second time the waitress suggested I order my steak more well done next time as apparently they cook it on the "rarer" side at Sandstone. We are frequent visitors at steakhouses and the cook of a steak should be universal. We were offered a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience but will absolutely never return. Horrible experience.
