The food was good value and great portions. It was located in a weird location in a weird hotel in Niagara Falls and it would be packed if in Toronto! I love the unique and challenging farm to table concept and was well executed here! Our server Cody was extremely knowledgeable and professional and went out of his way to write down his favourite wineries we asked about visiting in the area. Will definitely go back there next time I'm in the area.

I don't understand how this establishment has these 5 star reviews. My experience was met with a two staffs waving at me that they were closed at 9:30 ... when their business hours where stated for 10:30 on a Tuesday night. I felt cheated as I was excited to dine here. I would understand if they told us we needed a reservation but seriously closing an hour early?

Enjoyed the Tuesday, Special : Steak and Frites. It was an Excellent recipe, flavorful and nice presentation. My Dessert was uniquely delicious too. But, the Associate need to upgrade to know what is in the today menu': we had moments preciously wasted for the lack of Communication between people working in the Front and Back. Strange for an " Inspired Cousine " in the Sterling Inn and Spa, Canadian Niagara Falls! I like to show some pictures of that evening.

My girlfriend and I came to AG for our first Valentine's Day together. I'd been wanting to try this place out for awhile and it did not disappoint! Had the prix fixe menu and everything from the octopus salad to the dessert was delish. Service was excellent and I would highly recommend. We'll be back!

Absolutely incredible. My husband and I consider ourselves amateur "foodies" and we really enjoyed our experience here! We were sat at 6pm and had attentive service by a lovely server with great wine recommendations. We tried the Bone Marrow (Which was UNBELIEVABLY GOOD) and the carpaccio (which was also delicious). We also ordered the Venison and the arctic char which were also very very delicious (highly recommend) and then the custard and the chocolate cheesecake (which was DIVINE for any chocolate lover). Would highly recommend this place for any night out if you enjoy any type of upscale food or are a food lover! 5 stars!!! Enjoy!

As with the AG hotel this used to be a favorite spot that we have frequented at least over 30 times over the years. While restaurants are struggling I hesitate to give one a poor review especially to a former glorious place but I feel that in this case it's deserved. The restaurant has shifted to a prix fixed menu which I have enjoyed at many top tier restaurant like jean george's in New York. You get an appetizer a main and a desert for $75 a person. Expect that anything you would like will have an extra sur charge on top with some options resulting in an extra $4 to $9 per selection. Our cocktails were good and tasty but unfortunately they were the highlight. Neither the octopus or salad were good. The octopus was prepared well but was spoiled by being placed on a bed of cold egg plant that was not tasty. The salads lacked flavour. The tenderloin which was previously a dish worth traveling for was merely adequate. Elements such as trimming the spinach and cooking it so it was no longer crunchy were missed. The mashed potatoes however were good. The deserts were overly sweet and not to our liking. The service which before was a stand out was lacking including waiting for water to be filled etc. Overall for the cost there are much better restaurants as can be see in my other reviews of Niagara restaurants. It leaves me wondering if the cost cutting seen in the hotel has made its way to the restaurant with the result being a poorer quality product.

We were recommended this place by a friend. The taste of the food was exceptional and surprisingly filling (the bread helped). We came for our one year anniversary and expected the place to be a little more lively. The atmosphere was dead and awkwardly quiet. We'd go back for the food but not the experience.

This is probably one of the best fancy restaurants in Niagara region. Very good food and interesting menu. But the best is the service. When I came to the restaurant they knew I was coming and waiting for me. They gave me a nice welcome and grab our jackets then we had the best services. I tried hundred of restaurants and this one make me feel like I'm the prince of Dubai.

While the service was really good, the food was OK. My husband and I are foodies and had high expectations when reading the reviews but everything was just kind of meh. I would have been happier dining at the keg or better yet, taking the drive out to a winery such as Ravine or Vineland for a top notch meal at the same price.

60$ for a prix fixe dinner is good but then they get you with suppliment charges. Our dinners ended up being 82$. Plus drinks (Manhattan and a glass of white wine 30$). The biggest disappointment was that they only serve Niagara wines. So to get a reasonably good wine was an additional 110$!!! With tip our dinner was well over 300$ Last thoughts, the food and service were excellent; ambience was ok and parking was very good. If you have money to burn enjoy!

An amazing dining experience! The staff were so knowledgeable and the food was spectacular. I loved the fact that so many of their menu options were locally sourced food. I would highly recommend this place. A hidden jewel amongst the tourist tapestries of Niagara Falls. We are looking forward to another visit.

We stayed at the Sterling for a weekend getaway and made a reservation at AG for dinner. It was spectacular and exceeded my expectations! Service was amazing, our servers name was Fallon, who was lovely and cheery all round and explained their farm to table service to us. She helped accommdate for our exceptions on the menu and was always attentive to our needs. We opted for the bistro menu and dessert and the food was indeed inspired. The combinations and freshness of all the food really came through, the steak was done perfectly, chimichurri sauce was the highlight for me, packed with so much flavour! We had the burger as well which was so juicy and the heirloom tomato was such a nice touch which helped lighten the cheese, the walnut slaw was also another hit, I had so much fun with all the flavor combinations. For dessert we ordered the strawberry pound cake with cheesecake ice cream - definitely recommended. So so happy with the food and price point here at AG and will definitely recommend and return. A gem of a restaurant, and now on the list of my favorites.

The presenation and atmosphere was perfect for a date night. They placed us in a booth. We loved the desserts (lemon lavender and brownie). The entrees were ok, but I've definitely had much better for way cheaper, I probably could've had a better steak from a chain like the keg which is unfortunate given the price of the meal. We got the flank steak and duck. The appetizers were good, but not memorable. We got octopus and the prosciutto salad. Staff was friendly. I probably wouldn't come back if the price was $75 a person and the quality doesnt improve.

This place was phenomenal. The pre fixed course menu was a delight to choose from because it gave a great price point but also tasty food options to pick from. The only thing I did not like about this place was the server that was helping us there that night. We look fairly young and I think that took a toll on the experience we had. There were about 5 other couples on the other side of the dining room from us and the server constantly stayed over there for the whole night. we had a total of 3 interactions with our actual server and had to get up and find someone to help us when we needed something. The only time the server came was to greet us, take our order, then give us the check. Granted, we were the only couple left at the night and the server gave us tremendous attitude when there was no one left to wait on but us. I am not going to give a 4 star or 3 stars because of the server's unwillingness to be present. The food was great and we really appreciate the food runner that was the highlight of our night. She deserves a promotion. Thanks for the, somewhat, awesome night!

A hit-and-miss menu. The wait between courses is half an hour instead of the usual 7 to 10 minutes. It took us about three hours to complete a three-course meal. The service is okay.

Wonderful dinner and dining experience! All 3 of my courses were so tasty and elegantly presented. I started off with the bone marrow app followed by the beef tenderloin and I finished with the honey apple bundt cake. Others had the carpaccio, scallops, pumpkin pie creme brulee. Our service was top notch very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. Their sparkling peach drink was so delicious. I would recommend dinning here best meal in Niagara! I already have my next reservation booked!

I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a perfect 5 star rating! The food, service and experience were top notch. For a fine dining restaurant 3 course prefixed meal, we were very impressed with the portion sizes. Sometimes you go to these places and the portions are small. Not here. Not only did we have unique local food, but we were stuffed by the end. Mel, our server, was outstanding. They made excellent suggestions and even had us try things that we had never tried before, which we ended up loving! By the way, go try the chicken pâté! 5 stars ++++ Go support an amazing farm to table restaurant, it’s well worth the experience!

The food here ranged from very good to excellent. The bone marrow was excellent, as was the rabbit and the tenderloin. However, the service was very odd - I think a total of 4 ppl at various times served our table with varying degrees of knowledge about the menu and serving skills. Also, no one seemed to know much about the wine offerings. Otherwise it's a nice place at a reasonable price point.

Hey folks, don't get drawn in by all the great reviews, someone is gaming the system in this tourist trap of a town. We called on a Friday evening at 6 PM or so for a 7 PM reservation. They responded by saying they could accommodate us at 6:30 or later at 9 PM. When I declined they put me on hold, came back on the line and said they had a cancellation at 7:30, would that work? So, naturally, we eagerly agreed feeling like we had gotten lucky. Turns out were were SUCKERS! The place was never more than 40% full during our entire meal. Everything was pricey and it was absolutely the worst beer list I've ever seen. Yeah, sorry, I don't drink wine or liquor. But the service was okay, the food was okay but the value was poor and, given our reservation experience, we felt like we had been played once again in this miserable tourist trap town. Just go somewhere else, you're not missing anything here despite the inflated reviews.

Listen. The outside is unassuming... But when you get in there, is really nice inside. The staff are so friendly, courteous and inviting. But let's get to the meat and potatoes (get it?) The food.... The food is great. The food is flavourful, gorgeous presentation. The tenderloin is a BEAST. Never had streak so tender, just melts. My wife had the scallops and I wanted her meal too! Lol. All in all, great Bang for your buck. Actually worth more than your buck.

The sheep and chicken were so impressively delicious that they would have given 5 stars if they ate separately, but the appetizers were not bad and the desserts were too stiff to have more than two spoons. The service is not so great considering the price. We came for our 35th wedding anniversary and with high expectations given the rave reviews and recommendations from a friend. Food was great and great presentation. Server was knowledgeable and worked hard. Till we got to the end. Any self respecting chef will or should take pride in his/her menu as well as responsibility. We took the package a stayed at the inn as well as the 3 course meal. Only to find out about the little print at the bottom of the menu. About the extra charges, and then about the automatic gratuity, tacky. The gratuity would have been given anyways and on a percentages basis she would have received more. But the process put a bad taste in me. Back to the finishing of the meal, my wife asked for a cappuccino and I a latte. I asked for mine to be extra hot and to be served at the same time as my dessert. Not too much to ask. Well the latte came first before the dessert and it was tepid and was not drinkable, I asked for it to be replaced. It's was after 10 minutes with another one just as tepid as the first. It was not drinkable either. Later we found out that the latte comes out of a push button machine and had no temperature control. I have had a better latte from a hospital vending machine. For a restaurant to have the ability to cater with great presentation and pricing to match, I would expect the chef and management to have invested in a decent coffee bar machine, (5k to 10k) or at least do not offer it and embarrasse yourself by putting it on the menu and calling that a latte. What can I say, I like to finish a great meal with a nice latte. So we walked over to the local Starbucks to have my latte. Summary read the fine print and do not order the latte. Btw expect to pay $15.00 for parking when you stay at the inn. Tacky again, just add it to the cost of the room rather than adding it at check in. 2 star for the experience/ 4 for the meals/ 0 for the coffee

If you fancy a hospitable place with outstanding food away from the high traffic tourist areas AG is where you need to go. The three course prix-fixe menu for $59 is a great deal offering a variety of options for appetizers, entrees and dessert.

Not only did it taste like it had been boiled for 2 hours, it did not taste like much. There was the bone marrow dish that was pretty good actually, but the overall experience did not go too well because of the food taste.

Summary: Amazing quality, awesome ice wine martinis, delicious food, great service, reasonable prices. Farm to table philosophy in full effect. Decent amount of parking within the Inn parking lot. Went here with my wife for a romantic, gourmet meal based on high ratings and number of reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor. When we arrived in the parking lot we lucked out and found a spot. We then walked around to the entrance of AG that faces the outside and made our way in, down the stairs, and to the check-in area. We were soon seated for our reservation. It was a Saturday night, so the dining room was pretty full. Our server introduced himself and explained a little about the restaurant. He made a couple of recommendations and we started by ordering a couple of ice wine martinis. They were fantastic! Could have easily consumed several of those if they weren't $15 each. For food we were given an amuse bouche of chilled melon and cucumber soup. Tasty and refreshing. We were then given a couple types of bread, one of which was this awesome cheese bread that I had several slices of. I got the rabbit gnocchi appetizer. It had some excellent flavors due to the wild mushrooms, truffle oil, and herbs. The rabbit was well cooked and the gnocchi were nice and tender. Good stuff. For our entrees we got the beef tenderloin, and the fettuccine with pieces of beef. The tenderloin was a decent cut and sat on a bed of mashed potatoes (I think). It was super tender and very tasty. The fettuccine was nice and al dente in a tasty brown sauce with little chunks of meat. Also really good. We got some wines throughout the meal and creme brulee for dessert, and the total was about $200 before tip. Not a steal, but a pretty good price given the quality of the experience. Well done, AG.

We were on our mini honeymoon and decided to go to a fine dining restaurant. Based on everyone's reviews we chose AG Inspired Cuisine. Outside of the restaurant was sketchy - as it was part of a Sterling Inn and Spa. I was hoping that the inside would be somewhat better, to my surprise, it was amazing! You walk down into the basement, and voilà! Modern and classy atmosphere. I loved the decoration, and each waiter was on point. Their ingredients were seasonal and were cultivated from their farms. We enjoyed knowing we were eating fresh and local food. Portions are small - but worth the experience. Loved the creativity of combined flavours throughout the 3 course menu. Hats to the Chef. Also, the bartender created a new martini drink with blueberries... perfect for dessert. Our waiter was nice, gave us enough space, and followed up with us at the right time. He even walked outside to give us directions to the Falls. We recommend this place for anyone who enjoys the art of food!

Hands down the best food I ever had. This place is a must-go for anyone visiting Niagara Falls. Keep in mind it is pricey, but well worth it. Their steaks are extremely thick and juicy, and comes with some excellent peanut-infused soy sauce. It may come across as salty for some, but the pasta is lighter in that respect. I would have totally given it five stars if they hadn't made a particular error on my bill that raised the price by $30. They did resolve it painlessly, but I had to wait roughly 15 minutes until I got attention from my server during the circumstance. It sort of hampered the overall experience, but I would still come again.

I was very excited to give these guys another try. I initially went in there and had their tasting menu which was not impressive to say the least. Last night i stayed at the hotel and was offered a bistro package for two. We got the AG burger and venison Bolognese. My burger was dry and tasted terrible my dog would be very happy to have it when i get home that in itself sets a statement. The Bolognese was not paired well with the pasta and rapini was bitter so that did not sit well with us. We also bought the pate which was ok but not mind blowing the chef should rethink the way he constructs his dishes. Not fine dining at all ????????????????????????

I had the duck confit my partner had the beef tenderloin. The food was cooked exceptionally. Staff were amazing. Sadly the meat be the only portion of our meal. The chocolate ice was a delicious dessert. I would have expected our four course arrangement would have been more balanced. My main had a side of vegetables which included three or four beans and one of the vegetable. Their meals and courses should be more balanced. If your main is going to include basically only meet, they should have more vegetable only entrees. We visit haute cuisine restaurants rather regularly. We found The only major problem though was that they didn't offer enough vegetables. Balance is key.

My new husband and I came here as a part of our honeymoon. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. Stephan was fantastic and chose great wine pairings for each course. The octopus was the best my husband has had and he loves seafood. I got the bisque for appetizer which was a very farm to table experience. The steak was superb and all the accompaniments were amazing. It is a beautiful spot for anniversaries, special occasions, or just to get a great meal. We will be coming back!

We had a great experience with a large group here. Food pairing was spot on. Staff was very helpful. Drink offerings were carefully planned. What a relief to find an authentic, farm to table experience in an area where chain restaurants dominate. Highly recommended!!!

Confirmed ahead of time they could handle vegetarians and checked again before we turned up. Each time was told it wasn't a problem and they catered for all dietary restrictions. We get there and the staff know nothing about this and are a bit flummoxed. After discussing with the kitchen I'm offered the choice of an entrée consisting of side dishes from other mains. I say choice, but it was that or leave. Food was actually pretty good but expensive for the quality.

We ate here in November and stayed at the attached Sterling Inn. The food was phenomenal and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. They make a lot of their own ingredients there. The bartender was great! One of the wait staff make all the bitters and compotes for the drinks. Excellent romantic restaurant with great food.

I visited this restaurant based on reviews and am I glad I did! Initially I was a bit apprehensive as the restaurant was situated in the basement of the building and it seemed quite isolated (I was alone in an unfamiliar place hence my trepidation). But all this disappeared the moment I stepped into the restaurant. The servers were super friendly and attentive and immediately put me at ease without being overly intrusive. The food was fantastic too. I ordered the quail with barley risotto and it was GOOD. Especially the risotto. The use of sauces were perfect. Presentation was good too. Even the non-alcoholic grape juice I ordered was good... And it even came with a few sweet grapes! Ambience of the restaurant was nice and romantic (though I was alone haha). All in all, great experience, great food, great service. Highly recommended if you're in the vicinity.

Came here with my fiancé to celebrate a special occasion. We decided to try this lovely local farm-to-table restaurant and we are so so glad we did. The customer service was impeccable! We were treated like VIP guests by Stephen, our waiter. He was so courteous and accommodating. We wanted to make changes and sub dishes in our 3 course meal and he was more than accommodating. We got the Mussels, Carpaccio, Chacuterie and Duck Pate for our appetizer. For our entree we had the patty pan squash, heirloom carrots, duck breast and scallops. The produce came from both the restaurants own farm and local farms and was extremely fresh. Everything tasted fantastic and flavours were excellently paired. We would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely drive back from Toronto to Niagara, just for this restaurant!!!

First of all, the place is very clean and all the COVID-19 protocols are met with hand sanitizer for each table was available. The food was amazing and fresh where you can really taste the hard work and knowledge that the chefs have put together to make a course meal with locally sourced ingredients. I was pretty shocked that this place is only reviewed by few people, compared to other places around the area. For $59CAD/person, it’s definitely a bargain and you will definitely feel full and satisfied. This place will definitely NOT MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A TOURIST TRAP, unlike other places around the area.

The restaurant agreed to move our order up on the timeline as we had originally booked for 6:30 but were ready earlier. Appetizer was so wonderful. Entree came to the room at the right time. Was ok. My wife liked hers, I wasn't impressed. Then we waited and waited and waited. Finally I called and was assured our dessert was coming soon. Then we waited and we waited. Almost 2 hours after our entrees they finally brought dessert. And that's after multiple calls to the restaurant and to the hotel front desk. It wasn't good. At all. Dessert was bitter and sour and not good. We didn't eat it. After the wait we were hoping for something amazing. Didn't happen. Should have ordered in

My husband chose the field greens salad and loved the buttermilk dressing. Tasted so fresh! All farm fresh ingredients used at the restaurant. I chose the mussels as my app... equally delicious. We chose the tenderloin for a $9 pp upgrade. It was extremely tender and had an almond brie topping, served with mashed potatoes and kale as sides. Desserts were also lovely. Would recommend!

Had the worst dinner here last night. Food was mediocre. I’ve been to many farm to table restaurants and this one is not it. The marinated and charred octopus was cold, entree was okay nothing special, and the brownie dessert tastes like it was store bought. My friend had a hair in her food and the server was not even apologetic at all and tried to avoid our table. The 3 course menu costs $78, which you would atleast expect a great service and amazing food. Will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We had a birthday dinner here. It was our first time. The food was great and very well priced. They have 2 packages $25 and I think $50. We did the $50 coursed meal and it was well prepared, well plated and great portion sizes. Drinks are extra. Desert was included in the price. Jacky our waitress was knowledgeable, patient and funny :). They even gave our birthday girl a free little birthday treat ????. Highly recommend. It's in an office building so the outside is unassuming and not the prettiest, but inside is cozy and great for couples or very small groups- we had a party of 4. Will definitely eat here again.

Came here last weekend. Food is nothing special. I did get a special surprised when I pulled out a very long blonde hair I found in my tenderloin steak main course. When I got my bill, you would think they would somehow compensate for the lack of quality of the food I got. I paid an extra $10 on top of the $78 bill for trying their tenderloin but even that they couldn't careless. Brownie dessert is something I can get at a grocery store. Anyways, never coming back.

Less then okay experience James our waiter was really nice. However it took 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table with menus and water. Our dinner was at 830 and we waited for wine and bread until about 920. Each meal that went down was put in the wrong position. We ordered bone marrow which was served with a shot. The shot did not come with the marrow and when it came time to clear the plates he tried to take the marrow away without giving the shot. We had to remind him and it took longer then it should have to get that shot to finish the marrow with. We ordered oban 14 ( a sipping scotch which I asked for neat with water on the side) which he instead served in shot glasses. When he split the bill he had to try three times to split it (after we changed our mind from having the bill all in one) when the final bill went down it still wasn't right. We had supplements for each dish on the wrong bills and it wasn't great. Also it was my birthday and nothing was done, except a birthday wish at the beginning. Food was pretty decent. Definitely better then your average place in Niagra. It could have been much better and we were pretty let down.

I had Steelhead Trout, which included a huge piece of shrimp and some mussels. Steelhead trout is almost indistinguishable from salmon in terms of its colour, texture and taste. I thought trout meats were usually white, so I learned something new. It was cooked very well; not too dry or too mushy. I enjoyed my fish and dipped it in the saffron bouillabaisse broth. We shared Velvety White Onion Velouté. It was interesting to see the waitress bring out the creamy soup in something that looked like a tea pot. She poured the soup to the bowl, which already had a piece of veal cheek agnolotti on it. That was a very tasty soup. I'm not sure what AG stands for, but it is a fine dining French restaurant in the Niagara Falls. It's located in the basement of Sterling Inn, which kind of looks like a factory turned into a hotel. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty, with unique chandeliers, and luxurious-looking white table cloths and napkins. I saw red and white everywhere. They have a semi-private booth, and a bar. The waiter who took our orders and the waitress who brought out our dishes were very professional and friendly. If you're looking for some fancy French cuisine in the Niagara Falls, this would be a great place to eat in!

What a gem in the wasteland of Niagara Falls, Ontario! If you are looking for an upscale dinner with great local produce and wine this is your place. The restaurant is in the Sterling Inn and Spa downstairs from the entrance. It is a very interesting set up with the bar placed centrally in the middle and then tables and booths on the sides. The menu changes seasonally as it is inspired by their farm, AG, and the preparation is delightful. The service is spot on and understated which we liked a lot. Parking is available although we walked from our hotel. Highly recommended!

Others got seated after us and finished before us. Maybe the waitess was new? I'm not sure, but for this amount of money and supposed quality of experience it's not acceptable. A little... Underwhelming We ate with them last night and to be honest I was expecting more from all the hype. There was no "nicest table in the house" as it is in a basement, but they hide that somewhat with nice decor. It was a little bit loud for what I would consider fine dining which I believe they consider themselves. I actually had to get up and request doors be closed on a private party. The waiter and server were both wonderful and knowledgeable. We started with the bone marrow and a beat salad. Both were delicious and done just right. Drinks were whiskey (Glenfidich 12 or15 i can't recall) and a comso, both very nice Next was the red deer and artic char. Presentation on the char was lacking, but the taste was there. The red deer was over cooked at the "medium" and was more like a medium-well... the meat lacked any juices and the tenderness was almost gone. I think they relied on the sauce to hide that. Drinks were whiskey (Glelievit 12 and a splash of a 16 I can't recall the name of.. it was less than an ounce and was on the house because of that, both nice) and sparkling water. Dessert was the brownie and hazelnut cheesecake. The brownie was ... a brownie. Who doesn't love one of them. The cheesecake however was exceptional. Smooth as silk and just rich enough to pay all the bills. Drinks were the espresso cocktail and maple whiskey. Both were tasty and fun. As a birthday surprise, they brought a little chocolate shot and almond cookie out after we were done. A nice touch. Biggest issues were noise, over done meat basic brownie and the waiter didn't say tank you for his tip which was more than 20%. That irked me. All in all, I would equate it to something you do once and carry on happy. Nothing screamed come back again, but I'm glad we went.

A 10/10 experience. We came here for my wife's birthday and the staff made sure to add a candle to her dessert. The ambience is romantic and inviting, the different combination of tastes in each course, the lovely staff are helpful and charming, and the executive chef is a true gentleman. We accidentally got our main course before our appetizers, which wasn't a big deal to us but the executive chef was really embarrassed that he complimented the entire meal! Honestly did not need to do that but we left a generous tip for the staff. I will definitely come back and told friends and family already to eat here next time they are in Niagara.

Great restaurant! The atmosphere is very romantic with soft lighting. They were able to accommodate my fiancé who is vegan and make up an appetizer and entree that he could eat even though there wasn’t anything on the menu. They even made a vegan palate cleanser for him. I had the beet salad which was phenomenal and the beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection. To top it all off I got the pumpkin cheesecake which came with a coffee cream sauce which was heavenly. The wait staff was attentive and returned often to fill up our water and make sure we were set. I highly recommend this place!

Maybe it was a one-off when I went, but I didn't get the fantastic experience you read about on other review sites about this restaurant. Starting off with my server, who was obviously phoning it in and acted like he couldn't wait to leave. Made no attempt at small talk, didn't even tell me the specials, and made no wine pairing recommendations even though I told him I was going to have wine with dinner. It devolved into complete inattention, with my dessert order having to be taken by another server because they couldn't find my server, and another server having to take my payment (they tried to find my server and couldn't find him). I waited almost 10 min. before I was able to pay...probably could have just walked out with no one noticing. The sad thing was the restaurant wasn't even busy, only ~33% full. Then the food. Found the flavours and presentation to be average at best. Maybe the reviews hyped it up too much in my head. Certainly didn't taste like it was cooked and prepared in a diamond rated kitchen. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but not any time soon.

Best food I have had in Niagara Falls. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. The food is a farm to table experience, at least in so far as can be managed in Ontario in the winter time. Some of our party had steak which they are known for. They reported that it was amazing. It was an excellent experience, although as another reviewer put it, the price reflects the fine dining experience. Based on our bill, you could expect to spend around $150 per person with a glass of wine or two.

I went here with my family apprehensive, as I'm vegan and asking anyone to customize a meal solely for me is awkward whether or not I'm paying for it. I was told right off the bat none of their mains could be customized, so I was prepared to just have a couple appetizers and I would have been happy with that. Instead, the kitchen made a completely customized mushroom and sweet potato dish that absolutely blew my mind. Everything, from the way the waiter handled my restrictions to how he handled the overall night was flawless. The place is beautiful, the food exquisite, and the service impeccable. Went there with the wife last night, started with the marrow bone and mussels, mussels were ok but deffinently didnt taste fresh, the marrow bone was bloody and drastically under done. For the mains I had the steak frites and the wife had the winter squash risotto, the risotto she enjoyed but my steak came out bleu rare when I ordered medium rare , the deserts were the carrot cake and espresso creme brulee which were pretty good. The main thing is the appetizers and mains not being cooked properly I have been sick all night and now through the morning which I'm going to attribute to the marrow bone as it's the only thing we didnt share. This place used to be impeccable and now its below Par for any fine dining establishment. It's unfortunate it has gone so far down hill but I will not be back.

This was definitely our trip's favorite dining experience! <3 The only little inconvenience we had was that we were cold during our supper there, but, in all fairness, we didn't mention it to the staff. A small recommendation for the place would be to add a little candle to each table, it will definitely increase the charm of the place! ;)

I booked a trip getaway for 2 days staying in the hotel. 1 of our meals was included; there are far better chef directed restaurants in Toronto or really any other city I have been to. Montreal, vegas, Chicago.... the mussels were awful. The response from the waiter was equally awful.. "how you ever had mussels?" Are you serious??? The heirloom salad however was really good. The waiter was very knowledgeable regarding Ontario wines (I'm not a fan) but we paid for it anyways, Not worth it!! There is a ruth chris not far, just saying!!! Please Do not let this review take you away from the hotel! The room, spa and customer service was amazing! Even better than the fallsview!

My Fiancé and I had dinner at AG last night and it was amazing. Each dish was full of flavor, the presentation of each dish was impeccable, and the servers were very attentive. I am thoroughly satisfied, so was my Fiancé. We would definitely recommend AG if you're in the Niagara Falls area.

For an advertised 4-5 stars restaurant, the neighborhood is distressing and the location is worse as the restaurant is situated in the basement of a 2-3 stars hotel. The restaurant façade and entrance in real life and as shown on photos are depressing. The food is average and totally lacks refinement. There is no attention to details such as: 1) My wife ordered a steak which was served without any trimming and with a pile of darkly cooked french fries 2) the 3 courses meal costs $75 per person and the flan cake that is supposed to be part of the 3 courses meal is offered with a $5 extra. Furthermore, it doesn't taste like a real flan cake as it is too sweet and does taste completely different 3) when we tried to order cappuccinos, the waitress warned us that the restaurant doesn't have an expresso coffee machine but there is only an ordinary hotel coffee machine. We ended up ordering a regular coffee and it does taste like an ordinary coffee from an ordinary hotel coffee machine. In summary, this restaurant should be considered as a 2 stars restaurant and it should stop misleading people with its advertising.

Friends of ours got us an evening at the Sterling inn and spa which included dinner at this restaurant. Service, atmosphere and the food were outstanding. We both enjoyed the steak entrée and both were cooked to perfection. You could cut it with a butter knife it was so tender. Thank you for enjoyable evening

One of the best meals we've ever had and we've both worked in the food industry. Pricey, but if you are looking for find dining in Niagara this is the place. Awesome chef. Not sure what a previous poster is thinking of when saying if you don't like seafood your screwed. Food (as per the menu) is served seasonally in our April stay there was very few seafood options.

Made a reservation for my anniversary. Got the best table, amazing service, and the food was spectacular. Very nice venue for a romantic dinner. Live atmosphere music set the mood. Dont be put off by the building entrance, once you head downstairs you'll be impressed.

I went with my adult three daughters for a special occasion, one daughter was celebrating a birthday. Our reservation was at 8:30 on a Tuesday night. Our waiter James let us sit after being seated for well over 15 minutes for water. Then another 10 minutes for a menu. It was over an hour before we were given a bread basket. Food ordered was absolutely amazing. When each dish came it was given each time to the wrong person. The food was by all accounts absolutely delicious. When we asked for our bill, at first it was tabbed all together. Then James split it up. It took him 3 times to split our bill, and it was still wrong. The table behind us was seated after us by at least 20 minutes and got water, drinks, bread basket and apps before we got water. Our bill was $455.00 before tip. It would have been appreciated if we were given better service for what was spent.

This gem is a little hidden (its inside a hotel I cant remember the name) but man are we glad we found it. There farm to table is a concept we absolutly love as our favourite restaurant in our home town is the same concept) My husband had the mussels, I am not a seafood person (he loves it) but the broth was delicious, and I had the burger, WOW. If your in Niagara Falls, please check them out!

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant! High quality, high detail and beautifully platted dishes. Your all in one price meal will come with little surprises along the experience of the visit. The staff are exceptional at their craft. Steven(Stephen) is excellent! Please don't let location throw you off.
