Nice atmosphere but mussels were undercooked, half not even open, Margherita pizza was soggy.

Fabulous meal!! Such a nice surprise to find all the way north on nfld. We even indulged in desser

A hidden gem. Food was spectacular. If you are up that way plan to eat there...reservations for supper are recommended.

We had a beautiful and delicious meal. The menu was limited due to Covid-19 which was completely understandable. The selections they offered were very tasty, especially the cauliflower soup. The staff was polite and attentive, and also following guidelines for social distancing and increased health and safety precautions throughout the restaurant. Wonderful experience, would recommend.

Great food but small portions and high prices. Staff were lovely but over worked at times.

Food was great, pricey though because it's a big tourist area. Beautiful local artwork on display and for sale.

Amazing, delicious food and friendly staff. If you're up in L'Anse aux Meadow it's a beautiful place for lunch and dinner with a great view. They also have an Inn.

In a different league from the other restaurants in the area. Reviews here aren't a good reflection of it. Decor, food, live music and art were incredible.

Great food, service and atmosphere:)

Fantastic seafood. The colder waters make for a sweeter, more flavorful lobster and this comes from a Boston native. This place is run by a wonderful couple who also own the Valhalla Lodge up the road. Do not miss the opportunity to visit The Norseman if you are ever fortunate enough to be in the area.

Super nice place with delicious food and a stunning view!

Food was good but not hreat. Service was slow and a bit lacking in attention for the above average cost. But it is the best dining in the area.

Great chowder and beer - but they have other stuff. There is also a gift shop. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Great food. Well made and beautifully presented. Relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful view. If I had to knock it for anything I'd say its not cheap but in the same breath it was worth every penny.

Delicious! An nice upscale casual restaurant with a stunning view of the harbour/cove. Delicious food, great local entertainment. Requires reservations. It's busy for a good reason.

Only decent restaurant near St. Anthony

Great food and nice owner. Well thought-out and well orchestrated menu, everything within each dish seems to pair well one another. For being the only restaurant in the area, they do an excellent job and don't cut corners on their food. …

AMAZING! Shrimp taco was exceptionally delicious. Chicken sandwich was delicious and enormous. 2 of 5 of us had Seafood chowder in huge and filling delectable portions. The local lobster was beyond words, totally worth the mess. We tried …

The food here is exquisite! I had a great experience at this restaurant while visiting L'ance aux Meadows

The selection was enough for everyone to get what made them happy. The desserts were also tasty, but expensive.

Excellent food. Service was top notch.

Food was good, but not great. Service was slow and often preoccupied. Still...a good place to eat.

Friendly staff and great (and fresh!) Seafood! We came here for the lunch bistro so we did not get to try out the evening fancier dinner, but we have a great time talking to the staff and enjoying a nice lunch before heading to the nearby Norse historical site

Food was fantastic. Portions were a little small for the price, but it's a good place to go when you're looking for more than fried cod.

Good pan fry cod fresh ! Top of the world view

Great experience. Delightful staff. We will be back.

Delicious meal. Couldn’t have asked for better

Great ll

Delicious dishes and great atmosphere!

Incredible food and great service.

Excellent menu. Quiet place.

Have been travelling the area for week, this is the first good meal I've had. Top notch. And what a treat to watch icebergs as you dine.

Service was ok. Portions were small. Price was high (we knew before going). Had the curry cod with a mint mango chutney. Not sure about the chutney. There was a green sauce on a small portion of the fish but it didn't taste like mango or mint. As for the curry, not enough taste. *** I do not have your contact info ****

The meal was awesome. We had lunch. I had a brisket and shrimp sandwich with a lovely salad of greens. My husband had butternut squash soup and he said it was delicious and very filling.

Great food for a very decent price. Service was good until it got a little busy. View of the harbour was spectacular!

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. One of the best meals we’ve had in our trip to Newfoundland. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Best service we’ve had in Newfoundland as well by far. Great beer and wine list. Ambience was perfect. Really made our trip up North worth it. Don’t skip dessert as it was impeccable. Vastly exceeded expectations. Wish I could eat there again soon.

Perfect (but pricey) restaurant where eastern migration met western migration for the first time...

Best meal we had during our visit to Newfoundland.

Very good food, and amazing views, highly recommended.

Excellent food and nice view of the water.

Hard to find anything non deep fried on the northern peninsula, so this was quite nice

The Norseman at L'Anse aux Meadows is one of the best restaurants in Newfoundland. The ambiance, the view, and the service make the food even more tastier. This is a 'must dine' place.

Wonderful ocean front setting. Excellent and diverse menu, and the dishes contain vegetables not served elsewhere on the island. The service was smooth. The pace of service was spot on, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

Overall it is probably the best restaurant in the L'Anse aux Meadows area. The service was excellent and the parking is readily available. During the warm weather months would definitely suggest making reservations. Food was good with a …

An expensive art/gift shop that serves expensive small portion meals. It's out of place for the area and local viking theme and even the name of the restaurant. Nice to sit, great view if you get a window table - just don't expect much if you're hungry and don't mind spending a lot. I gave them credit for serving a chowder soup thickened with corn starch instead of a roux(wheat). However, it wasn't overly special at $12 for a small bowl. My better half had the pizza which was a single ultra-thin pita with a teaspoon of sauce, few pieces of cheese and a handful of salad on top - $16. If you're not in the area hiking and active all day, likely for you. Otherwise I'd suggest you wait to eat at the Lighthouse restaurant in Saint Anthony.

What a find:) Pride of ownership on display. All good but soups stole the show. Lovely local service also thrown in:). All seats good but window over looking the bay if you can get it:)

Amazing food and great service and views of the bay. Best lobster I ever had

Beautiful plates with little twists. Great fish. Incomparable views!

Fantastic place to eat and get information about the area.

I stopped here (with no reservation), after a long day of exploring. I was tired, and hungry... and this place was like an oasis! I was having an early dinner, so there were few people in the restaurant. The service was excellent, staff was very friendly and I had THE best (& biggest) lobster I've ever had.

Nice atmosphere, good service, delicious food, great view.

Great food! Awesome shopping!

We came in here to get warmed up. Great service and didn't mind just serving us coffee. We went inbetween lunch and dinner. Amazing crafts to buy as well.

Excellent food. Unique gift shop. Idillic setting.

Excellent! We went to Norseman for lunch and wanted to order the whole menu! Fresh food, lots of vegetables, even a vegetarian offer. The chocolate terrine was divine with an espresso!

Great food and excellent service the people here are absolutely fantastic ????

Really good food, but smaller portions. You will want an appetizer here. They don't skimp on the quality or taste.

We had a delicious evening meal at the Norseman. We started with beautiful lobster house ravioli. My halibut was fresh and delicious marinaded in lemon zest and topped with nettle pesto accompanied by beautifully a lightly roasted beet, turnip, zucchini medley. My kids enjoyed their duck confit and roasted chicken. Service was warm and the cove view made our evening perfect followed by a relaxed sunset walk along low tide rocks to a sea cave. Thanks for a memorable evening.

Good food excellent staff nice situation...but as all of Newfoundland expensive

Comfortable place with great view of bay especially if you can sit on the terrace . Fair prices. Great clam chowder made with local ingredients as shrimp and halibut. Friendly service. All local people.

Delicious. Great service and cozy and pretty dining room.

Great food, also has a great craft beer supply!! You can also pick up some great items in the gift shop

This restaurant was so good! Definitely the best restaurant we ate at during our visit to Newfoundland! The food was excellent, the staff extremely friendly, the service quick and the view we had from our table was amazing! We could see many icebergs from the restaurant which was right by the ocean! I would definitely come back here again!

The ambiance was wonderful However the small portions was jaw dropping , the appetizer of scallops were $14 for 3 and the entree followed with disappointment for the money.

What a fantastic little restaurant! Food is spectacular, the view is superb and the service is fantastic. The best food i've had in Newfoundland so far. (Had Pea pancake, steak, and blueberry pie ❤️)

Excellent meal, presentation and staff @ reasonable prices

A very special and unexpected dining experience. This unassuming little seaside restaurant offers five star quality fair. We went back for lunch the next day and confirmed our rating. Wonderful.

What a lovely place for supper, we dined there for supper twice. Food was excellent! The view out the windows of the ocean was lovely.

Excellent tour describing the Norse settlements complete with reenactors definitely worth a visit

Wonderful location and very good food.

Great service. Good apps.

Absolutely awesome, not to be missed. Great for the whole family.

Excellent food, relaxed ambiance

Great place. Food was absolutely amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food was exceptional, small portions for the price. However exceptional... 4 star dining for sure.

Good food but small portion n expensive

The best place to watch the sunset over the ocean and enjoy a meal in northern NL. Expected a pub night and got something close to a fine dining experience. The decor and atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. Friendly staff accommodated us on a busy night without reservations. Food and drinks were delicious and reflective of the price. However the portion sizes were on the smaller side.

What a great meal with live entertainment. Water view table and excellent service

Came with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Lovely dining experience. Elegant dining room with lots of character. Can be casual or fine dining up to you. Lobster ravioli and scallops on pork belly appetizers were delicious. The roasted chicken and duck confit with partridge berry sauce were enjoyable. Service was exceptional. Amongst the best dining experiences during our 2 week trip across Newfoundland. A must try!

It was delicious. The presentation was great. I did not have any dessert but everyone that did in our group raved about it.
