I have been to this restaurant numerous times and each time the food has been exceptional. Calamari and fish cakes are excellent. My parents were visiting and I insisted we eat at this restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we decided to eat on the wharf, but we were sternly told by the manager that if it got cold and the tables inside were filled, we would not be able to come back inside. We decided to take our chances but it seems there had been an incident the night before. Another member of staff very rudely told us the same thing and proceeded to tell the other customers that we shouldn't be going outside. I had to convince my parents to stay because of the unkind way we were treated. Thank goodness for our server, Audrey. She was a ray of sunshine and made us feel welcome. Overall our experience was good, but your customers should never be made to feel like they are the accountable for the problems you've had with other customers.

Amazing food! Would give more stars if could! We throughly enjoyed everything we had off the menu (fish cakes, calamari, seafood pasta, partridgeberry cake). Can't wait to return to Newfoundland for another visit just to come here again! Staff was also incredibly friendly and the view on the dock is amazing!

If you want the freshest catch with the most seafood stuffed on a plate, this places od fir you. Right on the water. Good service. A little hard to get to, not great parking and the decor leaves a little to be desired.

WOW what a gem this place was! We ordered almost every appetizer and everything was so delicious and on point. The pasta was amazing and so was the crab dinner. The employees, the views and the music really make the atmopshere a welcoming one. Our server Jan was a treat. She went over and beyond making our meal a enjoyable one, thank you for the great service! I will tell all my family and friends about this place!

Hands down, one of the best restaurants to go to in the summer. The location on the edge of the water with pier seating. Their own lobster tanks, with fantastic service. Really is a gem while exploring the area.

WOW!! Easily the best seafood restaurant in Newfoundland! Have been trying to get there for 3 years and finally did! The food was amazing, We were a group of 4 and ordered the crab spring rolls (OMG, so delicious), the calamari ( tender & tasty) and the seafood chowder (absolutely exquisite, loaded with seafood). Our entrees included Fish and chips ( always a crowd pleaser with us and it didn't disappoint, generous serving and perfectly cooked) I had the seafood pasta and it was another wow. My bowl had about 1/4 noodles and 3/4 seafood in a rich creamy rose sauce ( can I say wow again?!) Pasta came with yummy homemade garlic bread! Dessert, also delicious, partridge berry cake with a vanilla sauce. Our server Audrey was amazing and provided us with the best service. This place is worth a 4 1/2 drive to eat there!!!

Casual family run place. Get a table on the patio which is over the water with great views as the sun sets. Take a jacket as it may get cool. Recommend the seafood chowder and the lobster. Might be the best I have ever had!

The only place to buy your Lobster in Central, Eileen and her husband have a Super Lobster Pool stocked with lobster all season long! The restaurant has expanded and been upgraded over the past few years, it's awesome! If you have never been; go for some lobster and have a snack/meal while you are there! We have been patrons for almost 10 years, Eileen always welcomes us with a warm smile and a big hug????

This place is kind of tucked away and we probably wouldn't have went to it if we weren't reccomended it, but we really enjoyed it once we got to our table on the patio, on the water! Beautiful view! We we're lucky the weather was perfect that day. The seafood was great too! Went with 4 people and everyone had something different and we were all happy. Overall it was really good. ????????

Lobster was delicious, as was the rest of the food. Service was friendly. The location is beautiful and unbeatable location, the live music was great too! They are cash only, and have an ATM you can pay a fee to take cash out at. Unacceptable in 2018. Credit/debit is a part of doing business. Damper on an otherwise good evening.

This was the best chowder we had on Newfoundland. Everything we ate was very delicious. The seafood pasta was incredible. This restaurant is worth the drive if you are in the Twilingate/Gander area. The setting was beautiful and the service was friendly. Take cash with you. There is an ATM there but avoid the fee and have cash in hand.

We went in there and the lady who was serving was just plain rude. There were 4 of us waiting to be seated and had no choice but be in the way of the kitchen. We're told, in no uncertain terms that we were in the way. Then when we asked to eat outside we were informed that "it's too cold and when you get out there you'll just ask to come back in." We just decided to leave. Can't comment on the food.

When opportunity presents itself, I try to check out the local favorites. For my drive from Grand Falls-Windsor, NL to St. John's, NL I decided to take a long detour so I can try this place. It was well worth it. Seafood chowder was a killer. Tons of seafood with no "extenders" - as some like to call it. The sauce was flavourful and creamy but not greasy. Then for my main I had some Fish cakes...oh man I can't get enough of Newfoundland fish cakes. Next time I'm in Grand Falls I will definitely be going back.

Unexpected jewel at Hillgrade on New World Island on the way to Twillingate. It's a must stop. If you love seafood, Samsome's Seafood Restaurant is the place to visit. Seafood chowder is magnificent. Staff are quite friendly and offer very good service. Visit their large lobster pound before going into the picturesque restaurant at the water's edge. Prices are excellent.

Lobster, crab, seafood. It has it all. The servers are accommodating and friendly. It is a must to do if you are in the Twillingate area. I went back for two meals of the crab dinner- reasonable price, huge portions. No reservations so best time was around 4 pm or 7 pm. My new favourite seafood place in Atlantic Canada

Huge lobster tank, definitely a sight to see and certainly the place to come to for the absolutely most fresh lobster available! Sparkling clean seawater directly from way out, deep in the bay, keeps the lobsters healthy for weeks past the close of the season. Customers can select their own lobsters from floating boxes or others crawling along the bottom of the tank. There was one lobster that was well over 5 pounds! I estimate the tank is about 10 feet wide by 16 feet long and about 4 feet deep. The kids would love to see this, they go bonkers over the small aquarium size tanks in stores and restaurants, a great free, fun experience! The people on site were super nice and will help you with your selection. And truly, you'll not find anywhere to beat the price here!
