This Restaurant is included in the category of Lebanese restaurant.
This was my first time having Lebanese food. I would love to give this a 5 star review, but I just cant. Their phone number doesnt work. And their website isnt that great, so theres no way to make resos or show new people what Lebanese food is all about. Once I got here it was awesome! The food is VERY flavorful <3 The overall feel and the servers are amazing, I just cant help but feel sad that theres no online presence. It's the 21st century! Have a phone number at LEAST!
The best food in the Lower Mainland by far! Everything is so incredibly fresh and flavourful. The portions are generous and I always have enough left for multiple meals.
Just wow! Absolutely wonderful. We went there on New Year's Eve, with a toddler. They set up the highchair, were super nice and friendly to our child, and were quite calm dispute the restaurant being crowded. The food was really delicious and more than enough. If you haven't been there, you should definitely try it.
Really excellent food! Everything was flavorful and portions are gigantic. We got the sausage flatbread (think thin crust pizza with a Lebanese twist) and the chicken/beef combo entree, which is baked with rice and other veggies. This restaurant is best enjoyed with a group, the better to sample everything with! Also the appetizer dips and salad were truly excellent.
Satisfying! The food tastes good. The outside seating was nice. I love that rice and bread in the picture. The assorted dip was nice and flavorful. The thin crust pizza was a hit at our table.
Our friends recommended we go here and it's fantastic. Menu is small, but delicious. The entrees are sized to share between 2 people and come with delicious salad, dips and freshly baked flatbread. Service is very thoughtful too. Give it a try!

This is THE best restaurant in New Westminster. Don't make the same mistake I did and order too much, because the portions are huge! The space is a bit cramped, but it's well worth the wait. Would love to see you guys on DoorDash or SkipTheDishes.
This is such an amazing place to eat! The first time I ate here I couldn't believe how good everything tasted. The only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 is that both times I came the service was not something to rave about. That being said, I will eat here again and again... and probably again.
Excellent! I had the Foul with chickpeas. My friend had the vegetables on flat bread. We shared and both were delicious. Delicious coffee and tea too. This place always serves the best.
This is an exceptional gem of a restaurant. The depth of flavour in each bite is amazing, and the ingredients are obviously very high quality and healthy. We went for the first time last night and were treated to superlative service, a charming dining room and generous meal. We ordered the half size portion of the "1/2 and 1/2" chicken/ kafta (aka the "1/4 and 1/4") between two hungry adults and still had a lot leftover to take home. The "1/2 and 1/2" was a perfect main because it includes their impressive flat bread, diversity of flavourful dips, and fatoush salad, in addition to the main course. The aromas and flavours were so rich and delicious that we spent much of the meal exclaiming to each other about how good it was. I noticed that everyone else in the dining room was doing the same. It was enjoyable to share the space with others who were so obviously enjoying their meals as much as we were. We'll be back very soon. Highly recommend.
One of best Persian restaurant in the lower mainland. Every time I go I'm delighted with the food. One of the best bang for your buck in the area. LOts of vegetarian dishes and if you like chicken then order it, you wont be disappointed.
Had dinner here the other day and it was wonderful. Staff are kind and prompt. Food was extremely delicious. Best Lebanese food I’ve had in BC
Some of the best flat bread I’ve ever had. The chicken flat bread is amazing. It’s my go to special meal for my partner and I. Sometimes it’s so busy that it takes a while to pick up (usually 45 minutes, 50-55 if they are slammed with customers) but it’s worth the wait. The staff are super helpful and nice.
For the quality, taste and serving, this place is worth seeking out???????? We'd ordered again and again. It's too bad there's no dine in option due to Covid. We are hoping that the dine in option will be open again very soon.
Delicious food and huge portions, my partner has been to Lebanon and says the food is very authentic. Lovely service and cute outdoor patio. Definitely will be returning soon!!!
Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the lower mainland. Authentic, delicious Lebanese food. Gracious and polite owners who work hard. I've been here 5 time and Never disappointed. Small establishment but memorable food with substantial portions.....just simply awesome!
Best Lebanese authentic restaurant in new westminster bc very generous portions and modest prices! You must try the lebanese famous number one beer #almaza here ???? I would just recommend to play Lebanese music in the background that would be the only thing missing for a perfect ambiance ????
Highly recommended... The food was scrumptious, so fresh and clean. They serve generous portions and the staff were so friendly.
This gem brings a smile to my face every time we go in! The owner is friendly and genuinely wants his customers to enjoy their experience. I crave the cauliflower wrap. They also opened up an adorable patio this summer! Cannot recommend enough!
Meal type
Visited the place several times. Quality ingredients and delicious food.
My second visit was just like the first. Food and service did not disappoint. Be prepared to wait for a table. They are always busy! The wait is worth the experience.
SOO DELICIOUS! Portions were bigger than expected. Note that it’s very heavy and filling with loads of oil on top of every dish.
Lebanese food. Huge portions for low prices. Entrees come with salad and huge pita and four ....yes, four dips. Nice restaurant with warm and friendly staff. Did take out today, but next time it's going to be sit down.
Food and ambiance were all amazing. I have never experienced such a high level of hospitality at a restaurant before! The owner is entirely dedicated to customer satisfaction and goes to great lengths to make sure everyone is happy. On a busy Friday evening, we had a group of 11. The restaurant not only accommodated us, but also offered us complimentary tea after dinner so we can sit and chat! Will recommend to others and will return!
Would not think of New Westminster as the place to go to for Lebanese food but this place consistently has amazing food. Great variety of dishes including wraps, platters and a rice dish. Phenomenal meat and the dishes are all loaded with flavours. They recently expanded (badly needed to) to increase the seating capacity by at least 2X the old space. Service though really needs some improvement, this appears to be a family run restaurant and there's always a super young child trying to serve guests and it doesn't work out.
Dinner
This is the most reliable authentic Lebanese in the lower mainland. Excellent flavors, fair price and good service, although they can use a lean system of operation to try to cook and move people faster.
Meal type
Lebanese opinion: Service was great, the waiter was very nice, he did an excellent job! The place was super cozy. I felt super welcomed and not just “eat and leave.” Food exceeded expectations. Portions were “Lebanese” and super delicious. Soujok and Mhammara were truly amazing. The Fattoush was well dressed with pomegranate molasses and sumak, just like it should be. Other so called Lebanese restaurants in vancouver should learn from this place on how to be less greedy and give a true lebanese experience to their customers. Little note: you should expand your operation hours so we could go there more often. Especially for a mankoushe!
This place has unbelievably great food! Everything in their menu is expectacular except for their desserts. I didn't rate them 5 stars because their service is still the weakest part of the experience, but I feel they will improve. The restaurant is relatively new, and just expanded. If you're not in New Westminster, you should make a trip just for these food.
Great food and very accommodating for vegan options!
Soo good. Fantastic food. You have to try the Chicken Bowl. Why can't I rate it over and over again 5 stars because this place deserves it. This food is so incredible and the owner is one of the most warm and welcoming people ever.
One of the best spots in New West, Wild Thyme is busy every night of the week. Good service, great food and price for what you get. One full-size entree is more than enough for two people.
Came here for the first time today, really impressed. Not only is the food delicious, but you get 3 courses when you order an entree (meant for two people). I recommend the chicken. The only downside is it's small with only one bathroom. Still worth the trip!
Great food, great service. Everything tasted fresh and well spiced, but a little more salty then I was used to. The meal came with salad and pita with dips. It's a popular place for dinner as the tables keep changing. Food does require some wait but the kitchen put the time and care to make sure everything came out right.
Excellent experience dinning here tonight. Food was amazing, service was great, and so much food. The staff is very wholesome, and you will leave very well fed. Flatbread or rice dish you can't go wrong.
Delicious food. Portions are big, but don't let that stop you from trying everything. Service wasn't very attentive, we waited for a while to order even with menus stacked and only two other tables seated in the restaurant. Still, food was great and I can't wait to go back.
Best restaurant I have gone to in the last few months. The food here is so tasty. The menu may lack a huge number of items but what they gave is really good. The food that comes out of their oven is amazing, and their bread us some of the best I have ever had. If you want good Lebanese food, go here. I will definitely be coming back
My sister and brother-in-law took us here while we were in from out of town, saying that they had been here about a month earlier and that we would not be disappointed, and they were right! Lovely staff, delicious food, great price point, no complaints here! Would highly recommend, and can't wait to go back!
Friendly customer service! Food is fresh, well-spiced and very tasty. I’ve had takeout from this place at least 3 times and I always keep coming back!
Hands down the most authentic Lebanese Restaurant. The quality and quantity is perfect and I wouldn't have it any other way. I personally love everything from their salads, down to their Kafta. I highly recommend the flat breads! The hospitality and service are just one of the reasons that make me come back.
It was alright the entrées were things I could have made at home.
While the food was amazing, we were told that they changed their meat supplier about 1 or 1.5 month ago and are no longer Halal!
Kefta, lentil soup our favourite. Spicy tomato pizza, kids’ favourite. Win win for the entire favourite. One of our go to place for family dine out. Delicious rose tea to begin with.
Dinner
This was a fabulous place to eat!!! We had a chicken and meat kofta bowl ( my apologies if I have the name wrong. .. it's been a few days since we were there) and a sausage Flatbread. Wow! So much food, and was it ever delicious! !! We enjoyed everything. The dips were amazing, the salad was fresh and tasty. Dinner came to just over $50, for three of us, and one of us is a teenage boy.... The staff were also really friendly, and helpful, as we had never had Lebanese food before. We will be back, for sure!
We had an awkward meal at Wild Tyme. I will tell what had happended so you can decide if it is really odd or it was one of these unlucky days. When we get into the restaurant it wasn’t so crowded and we were welcomed and seated to a nice table. Then the waiter taking the orders, who was overconfident, came. The menu they have, doesn’t have any pictures so I showed him the pictures on google reviews to match the pictures with the names on the menu. He checked the pictures as if they don’t belong to their restaurant, so I explained him this was our first time in their restaurant and the pictures are from google. Still neither he bothered to explain any of their favourites, nor had a little chat as most of waiters do to create a relaxed environment. That made me a little bit nerveous. By the way he is not carrying a pen or a piece of paper, so you got the feeling that he is the owner who just came to your table by chance. The orders came very fast and I have no say to their meals. Especially their salad with pomegranate is heavenly delicious. They have huge portions and I can say it is a great place to get a taste of Lebanese cusine. In their menu, it says tea is served after the meal which made us very happy since in my country we drink tea almost after each meal. So we ordered 2 teas. While we were waiting for the teas, the waiter who got the orders came with paper plate and a bag. Only two tables were at the back of the restaurant and the other couple was still waiting for their meals. So, I said “I guess these are for us”. He said “Yes, you can put the leftovers here” With my son still working on his plate and us waiting for our teas, getting a plate without even asking for it?? Is it just me or is it a nice way of saying it’s getting crowded here, wrap it up please! Then instead of 2 teas, only 1 tea is served. We asked for another one. Then my husband asked for sugar if possible and we got a mixture of sugar and salt. So we couldn’t drink our teas. The waiter who got the orders apologized for it and we said it was ok, things might happen. So, I don’t know. I don’t think any of the things was done intentionally. Would I go there again? Probably not, cause I didn’t feel comfortable at all.
We are new to the New Westminster neighbourhood and stumbled across Wild Thyme; we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious flavours! Great value - we came out stuffed and still had leftovers for a great price. The Cauliflower Bowl was a little too saucy and not enough cauliflower vs. sauce compared to what we expected. Service was extremely slow, but it was a fully packed house and they still operate take-out. Would definitely return to try other dishes on their menu.
Portions and taste is great. :) cute location
Really great Lebanese food, we tried the foul and tomato flatbread as they were the options available for vegetarians. Since then we are a fan of Foul ???????? good presentation good food, what else you need.
This place is great! The people are very nice. The food is freshly made, the meat is slow roasted, it is infused with warm lebanese spices, and comes in a nice presentation. The tea was also excellent. Would recommend to anyone, be prepared for a short wait for a table as it is so good.
Wild Thyme is a total gem! We ordered a half order of the 1/2 kafta and 1/2 chicken entree which came with their signature bread, 4 dips, salad, and rice and meat skillet. Everything was fresh and delicious. We ordered their nutella and banana dessert as well which went down easy. With a 20% tip, it came to $40 and we were completely stuffed. One of the best in new west.
Service is really underwhelming even when it's not during peak hour. Didn't get menus until 15 minutes, waited another 20 just to grab someone to take our order. Apparently they expanded to the unit next door unfortunately they don't have the resource to accommodate the extra guests. The servers are nice an genuine, they offered a lot of free appetizers and tea to make up for the lack of service. It does have a truly mom pop shop feel. The food is fantastic, the Decore is nice, plenty of tables now with the expansion. Only 1 washroom which is shared between both sexes. The washroom is somewhat clean. Plenty of street and residential parking. Definitely worth checking out, I would avoid the dinner rush tho for better service
Very delicious Lebanese cuisine! Me and my wife keep going back in this place. We really love exploring different ethnic food and this one is one of our favorites.
Dinner
Delicious food. Lots of it. You won't leave hungry I promise. Owner and servers are amazing. Love this place. Not 5 stars because it's a tight cozy setting where I like a little more elbow room. Especially when the brick oven pita (not the right name for this bread) the size of your table comes. Go early on weekends or you wait for an hour. Worth the wait if not in a hurry. They will call your cell so you don't have to wait on site
Really good Lebanese food, great place to share a flat bread, baked dish and delicious pita and home made dip. Only complaint is it can be quite hot inside and the floors and tables have a stickiness to them.
Well flavoured delicous food. I had the kafta rice bowl and my fiance had the chicken rice bowl. Both were excellent. The space was a bit noisy since they had a couple of larger groups.
1/2 Kafta + 1/2 chicken 3 course meal for 32$? Unreal. Great service (thank you Mohammed), friendly owner, and best value / tasting Lebanese food this side of Fraser river. Go and you will not be disappointed! They serve fresh squeeze orange juice as well which pairs nicely with this beast of a meal. Enjoy
Love this place! The food is very fresh and the flavours are rich. This is my first Lebanese restaurant I've been to but I will be back! Most dishes, especially the rice bowls, are big enough for 2 people. A friend and I had a rice bowl and a flatbread, and we had leftovers for a 3rd meal! Dress lightly though, the brick oven that is in the dining area means the restaurant will definitely be warm. Your best bet is to come in pairs, there is not much seating and the tables are small.
Dinner
Great little gem in new west. It has some delish food, good service (even when it is busy). The owner keeps a good tab on his guests, so it is refreshing to have that. I would definitely recommend this place.
Place is fantastic. Food is authentic and delicious! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. 100% going back again.
My favorite restaurant. The sujuk flatbread is amazing. The salad and pita are so good. Every staff member very friendly. I really wish they would start dine in again, its an amazing experience!
So great if you looking for manaquesh or some middle eastern food. The test if the bread is really authentic. I ordered Kufta and my friend ordered lahmjoun with fatoush salad. I really recommend this place if you looking for that. I think it's the best in town. Employees are so nice and friendly. Will definitely visit again
Delicious food. Another hidden gem. For a culinary adventure
Usually good to great food. Gets really busy. Small space. Not for large groups unless you make arrangements, if at all possible. Pay parking. Service varies but not terrible; just more experience needed.
We were just at this restaurant. Great food. Authentic flavours. The problem is that the place is too small. It was packed and stuffy inside. It was hot as there was no ventilation and there was condensation on the windows. We couldn’t sit and enjoy the food in that environment. Plus we had a baby with us. So we took the food to go. They desperately need to improve the ventilation in there or have a powerful exhaust fan for the kitchen. We will go back when it’s quiet.
We have been to this place a few times and each time, the staff members were very friendly and nice. Also, the food was really high quality and portion wise very descent. We took leftover home a few times and even after worming it up, they were still tasty and as good.
Good Lebanese food. The Dips are authentic, in house made. Portions are large. Will visit again.
This restaurant is a nice surprise. Great food and reasonably priced. The place is small so don't go there during dining hours. You will be waiting for a seat. Not for a big group.
Had such a great experience here! The food was so tasty and they have the most friendly and helpful servers. Would be a great date night spot. The flatbread and dips were all so good and the salad was so fresh and unique. Check this place out!
This is easily one of the best places to eat in Vancouver. The flavour is authentic yet exotic. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and upmost care. Very busy during dinner hours but great for a group of people.
#legendary Authentic, family style dining! The moment you walk in you know you are in for an amazing experience! Can't say 1 bad thing!
Amazing food and good customer service. The lineup was a lite long because it's a legit Lebanese cuisine restaurant. Took a while to make the food but they ensured the highest quality
The Zaar Bread!!!!! Cucumber, tomatoes, spice and everything nice, all on fresh made bread! The food is out of this world and is truly one of the few places I wish I could give 6 stars to! ⭐ It's always busy, and there is almost always a lineup. Food speaks for itself. Must try if your in doubt. Love it! Well be back! If my review helped you, please give me a thumbs up! ???? Cheers!
Delicious food and good ambiance. Stumbled across this hidden gem in New west just in time for my birthday! Apparently they are famous on Instagram! A nice cozy place with ethnic decor. They serve Lebanese food and are famous for their flat breads! I tried their flat breads with Chicken and Armenian sausage and they were both delicious. Service was really good and fast. and they were very accommodating when we asked to have our table changed due to the party next table to us being really loud. They get really busy on the weekends and don't take reservations. My recommendation is to go early to avoid the dinner time rush!
Since the last time food price have gone up a lot. Food is ok but not worth the price. Service could be better wasn't too pleased about it, they kind of forgot our order etc. And on the top of that portions are smaller too, we got our food in a small plate and it looked like they run out of dishes and they used some random plate. Not sure if I'm gonna be back.
Great service. They comped a salad and made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious and well priced. Staff was very friendly. Great dining experience.
I've been here three times already, and have never been disappointed. The food takes some time to make, but that's because it's all made so fresh, the food tastes amazing. I love supporting family owned businesses. Also the owner is such a wonderful man, he is so accommodating and eager to help. You can tell he likes what he does. Highly recommend this place, and will go back again.
A true hole-in-the-wall find! Impressive flavours, spices, presentation, fresh ingredients. There's a cool brick oven. The restaurant may only seat 16 person in total but the food is awesome. You get this giant pita with several fresh dips free instead of the standard bread with butter! Try this place, you won't be disappointed.
Went in for the first time never having Lebanese food before and was amazing the staff answered all my questions was very attentive and food was great family style we got the smaller portion as there were only two of us we ate our fill plus I had lunch the next day will definitely return. They have a small patio we didn’t know about at first so will sit there next time
This restaurant is the best in town! The food is full of flavour and the service is great! They work so hard to keep you fed, and the portions are enough for 2!
Great food and staff! Only took a star off because the place is small and there may be some waiting time.. Definitely recommend it and definitely going again! Update: now that the restaurant is bigger, waiting yime has improved. Keep up the great work! Awesome food and staff!
I’ve been coming here for years. It’s absolutely delicious and the portions are huge. Worth the price. I also love that there is female representation in the kitchen and male representation in the wait staff. Feels like a family-run business. Make sure you order a dish with the pita and dips for that delicious garlic toum dip! I always look forward to coming here.
I’ve never had Lebanese food, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to enjoy it again. Nothing could possibly compare to the simply incredible food that my family and I shared here. In my wife’s words, “It’a like home cooking from a home you’ve never been to, but you’re still family.” Absolutely incredible, if you’re able to get a table here, do it.
Very good. Very busy, but I took my mom here for Mother's Day dinner, and the food was great and service was pretty quick. We got a seat next to the window, which made the tight, warm restaurant tolerable.
Foods were great, it's heathy, delicious and great value. Atmosphere is pleasant and very inviting place to enjoy the company of your friends over a very satisfying meal. Highly recommended to all food lovers.
I decided to check this place out because I heard it was really good. Let me start by saying the place is not only good but its amazing. The food, the price, the service, the freshness everything was more than I ever expected. There homemade pita with the four dips was second to none. It almost felt like I was in Lebanon eating it rather than New Westminster. Then I ordered the flatbread with meat and onions., Me and my friend were shocked it was the best flat bread we ever had,. The owner was great friendly guy and you can see the pride and passion in the food. The problem is Vancouver in many restaurant goals in ONLY to make money and they have no pride to share their cuisine to the world. This place is completely different and you can see how proud everyone is to serve it.
Kafta with rice is delicious, can sometimes be a bit dry though. Garlic dip is amazing! Expect to wait a bit longer for your food as they have a lot of take out orders, but everything you get is fresh and hot.
Best manakesh I ever ate in canada, i traveled all over canada and been to so many lebanese restaurants but never had the real lebanese taste. Manakeesh here are so tasty and rich of real flavor from all kind. Marwan the owner is so friendly and welcoming host. Highly recommended to everyone know their taste and not after some cheap quality food. 10 / 10
This food is amazing! It's always busy on the weekend so go early!

I've been postponing this review for a little while. The thing is that it is quite hard to describe in words the experiences I have had in this place. I have been going there for a little more than a year. Food seems to be getting better every time as if it was even possible. The place itself has gone through a little bit of change to accommodate the amount of people - it can be insanely busy at times. If you are coming here you might have to wait for a little while to get a table, but I can assure you that is worth of it. The serves have changed too as they had to hire more people in the past few months (no server knows better that the owner) - if you have any question you can always ask to speak with him - he is always there and he really cares about his costumers. Price wise I think you can have a meal that really satisfies you for a decent price. Very difficult to choose a favorite meal in the menu but I think it would be the Ajvar and the salad that comes with it. If you are looking for fresh food with extraordinary taste this is the place to go to.
Wow one of the best places in Vancouver to eat period. The portions are big and the service is 5 star. If yo never had Lebanese food you have to try it here
Went with my family today to have a brunch . restaurant open at 1130 am which is good timing for us ,there was nobody there yet . we ordered one half zatar and half cheese + one lahem and one Soujok with cheese and egg . Man food very delicious and tasty. Good service. Has the Lebanese feeling To my surprise this was beyond expectations. good friendly atmosphere. Staff were pleasent. The owner Mr Marwan checked on us. He is very friendly, very generous. Price reasonable. Clean we enjoy the food and the portion was good and satisfying , Definitely we will go again and bring our friends . highly recommend Lebanese food . love it . ????????????????????????????????
Really delicious quality food. Not pretentious, just original, simple, and tasty. You can tell they love what they do. And they do it well! Had delivery, so I can only imagine what the inhouse experience is! Will be back!
Such great service! Our waitress was so helpful, courteous and made great suggestions. Our portabello sandwich, crabcake sandwich, rice salad, sweet potato chips and chocolate pate were all so delicious! Highly recommend stopping in here for lunch if you are in Highlands.
Amazing food, portions are very large. Vegan customizable/friendly. Highly reccomend
*****WARNING TO OTHERS****** I recently discovered Wild Thyme and had a good experience. So much so I suggested my friend and family go. And my parents decided to have lunch a few weeks ago. They loved how amazingly well flavoured the food was and how good the service was (even though they were busy). My mother takes a good friend of hers yesterday afternoon and I was shocked to hear how poorly they treated her. They had waiter (or owner not sure) serving them. And they found him to be a bit rude and abrasive. When getting cutlery or water (he was just plopping things down and walking away). My mother who speaks Arabic and states to him, "Not sure why you are being rude to us, we are paying customers" He proceeds to state "He is not her slave" and goes off on a tangent. My mother and her friend are so uncomfortable they leave and when paying, the waiter states "he does not need her money" to which my mother replied "I am going to pay for the food, and no need to be aggressive". At this point, the "waiter/owner" is lunging at my mother and threatening her. This is by far the worst customer service we have ever received. I wanted to warn everyone else in the Burnaby/New West area. *****WARNING TO OTHERS********* if you are unsatisfied with the level of service, they become combative!!!!
Chicken kafta is good! Soft kebabs and flavourful. Rice dishes are good too
This place blew my mind. The flavours . The portion sizes. Just incredible. The food definitely takes time to come out. But you can tell where the time is being spent. These folks know how to make bread very very well.
Perfect food quality awesome service. I go there with my friends after the workout especially after legs and back day. For their awesome chicken wrap and the healthy colourful tasty salad. Many at the gym asked me what do you eat after your heavy workout? now I’m answer them. Checkout wild thyme food. Building quality muscles need good quality delicious food. Thank you wild thyme ????????????????????????
Food is absolutely fantastic. They are always busy, but that is to be expected when you serve amazing food. I've always had a great experience. I highly recommend!
Amazing food, great prices for the portions and great service.
Service
Been here multiple times. The menu is concise but the food quality and portions are really good. The 'toum' that they serve is super creamy and smooth. Menu has some old and interesting beer selections.
I've been going here since they opened, well before the expansion and it has remained a consistently awesome dining experience. The owner and his staff provide you with an extraordinary sense of belonging and treat you with care and respect. The food ... Wow. You might as well don your mink cloak and crown because you're fed like royalty here. I often go here with my partner and some of our stand out dishes are the foul (pronounced "fool"), the taouk wrap, and the chicken and rice half bowl which comes with their very good bread and 4 dips. Prices have steadily increased since their inception, and while it does put a dent in the wallet I never feel like I didn't get my money's worth, quite the opposite in fact. If you're going to check this place out, try to arrive at opening (5:00pm), dinner rush starts around 6 and it gets extremely busy at that point.
Excellent food! I would highly recommend it. The new add on space and decor make it a very pleasant atmosphere. The service is lacking a bit since they were short staffed but I must say that it did not impact the quality of the food. The dishes were DELICIOUS!!! I had a very nice Valentine’s dinner. Thank you for the Reggae music ambience. Well done!
I love this place!!! Every thing is made fresh to order. Every meal comes with bread and salad. Or you can order a la carte. If you just have the bread or salad... It would fill you up. Its savoury and full of flavour. The bread , salad and meal comes with 3 beautiful dips. Yoghurt, red pepper and hummus dip. I ordered the beef and chicken dishes to share . Both are delicious. Very flavourful. Whether you are vegetarian or not.. you will be blown away by the freshness. I ate everything too fast to take photos. ????????
My partner and I are obsessed with this little Gem. Super fresh food and service is exceptional!
Love this spot! Food is tasty and affordable! Definitely a must visit if you're in the area!
Yes, it is a Lebanese restaurant. The place can be a little bit hard to find. But it’s on 12th Street in New Westminster. It gets busy during dinner hours, so get there early. The service is excellent. Great ambience for everyone to set the right mood for the delicious food. Flat bread is what they are famous for. This is one of the best 17 restaurants in BC, according to the Yelp reviews.
Could do a huge write up about just how amazing Wild Thyme is but I'll keep it sort and to the point. Outside bistro alley with fresh pita and dip plus food that surpassed my expectation in both portions and flavour - the icing on top was the amazing price. Will be back soon and many times.
My first time eating here and first time trying food from Lebanon. It was very busy tonight, so my to go order was an hour wait. That being said, the flavor of my food was pleasant as was the after taste. Portions were decent and good presentation, though in to go boxed. Food is also fresh. I will happily return. Thank you to the kitchen staff who made this meal in such hot weather.
Stopped in for the first time since moving to the neighbourhood last year and definitely will be back. Excellent food and amazing customer service. Even though we were so full we kept eating and brought leftovers home.
excellent food. fresh ingredients, so well seasoned. highly recommend.
Simply delicious food! This restaurant is also run by a lovely family. They are passionate about their product and serving customers. A gem of New West.
Delicious food and friendly service. Definitely coming back!
Great service and the food was delicious.
Food was delicious. Portions were quite large. Staff was kind and attentive. Food service was a little slow but the food they served was well worth the wait. I will be coming back for sure. A local place that is a must.
Portions were huge and it was super busy. All great signs. The variety of dips they have for the pita were amazing (think we had 3-4), flatbread was tasty. Even their green salad was scrumptious! The cauliflower on rice was a bit mushier than I expected. It wasn't like the cauliflower dish at Nuba. Service was great and the atmosphere was lively.
Food was good but service was horrible. We were completely ignored and had to keep getting up to find a waitress. A couple came in 15 minutes after us and got their food before we could even find anyone to take our order. I finally got my meal as the other people I was with were finishing up their meal. No appoligies were offered. It was all very shocking.
My mouth waters just thinking about this place! This food will WOW you! The amount of flavour they can pack into a castiron pan of meat and rice is ridiculous!! The beef is so scrumptious, and the sauce they put on it compliments it perfectly. Plus, if you order one of the mains, it comes with an incredible salad and FIVE dips with pita to start. I'm addicted to the majorly garlic one - pretty sure I could survive on that alone. The service can be a bit slow, so don't plan on being in and out in an our, but it's SOOOOO worth the time!
Extremely good Lebanese food with a good selection of manakish and rice dishes. Highly recommend the chicken and rice meal. Pairs well with the homemade Laban/doogh. The service however needs to improve tenfolds, they're often confused about tables and have forgotten to take our order a few times. Despite that, I'll go back because the food is so good!
It's just like everyone said.. A hidden gem. The restaurant was very cozy, casual & kidz friendly. Food was great and came in big portions. We shared 2 rice bowls and a flatbread for 4 of us. It filled us all. We had to put a little bit effort to finished them all. Service was great too. Street parking only but there were plenty of free parking around. Definitely would go back.
The food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. Dinner for 2 with plenty of left overs for around $40. Really great value.
Finally made it back here again after almost four years, and our second visit was just as exceptional as our first! The food was flavourful and fresh, the restaurant is so cozy and charming and the service was amazing. Thank you for sharing such amazing Lebanese food!
Loved the food and the service. You can pay park for 2 hours on the street. It will be worth your visit. The popped pita bread is a scene stealer! Had the half and half beef/cheese pizza and the half and half beef/chicken rice. Great tasting. Will be back! Keep it up guys!
The restaurant recently expanded their space! It now has an additional room with lots of seating. It was only opened 2 weeks ago. Please be aware that there are steps you need to walk down, so it is not wheelchair friendly. The portions are very large here, and one order can feed more than 2. My husband and I have healthy appetites and we couldn't even finish our single order of the Kafta rice bowl. The combo is served with a giant puffy flat bread along with 4-5 homemade dips/spreads & a delicious fatoush salad! The main itself is served in a piping hot stainless steel iron skillet, paired with seasoned rice???? Absolutely delicious. We will be back to try more items on the menu. Note: The bathroom is a little strange as it seems the space was previously a home? There's a shower, and no light where the toilet is located. There's also only one bathroom in the whole restaurant.
The appetizers are at a hidden Michelin star dish. Atmosphere is great, and the owner takes care of you. The salad and fresh pita are unreal. Can't say enough
The food was amazing! Portions are big, that explains the price, totally reasonable once you see how good it is and how much get. Service was amazing. Staff were super friendly and kind. I will definelty come here to eat again. ????????
Excellent food. Did takeout. The good was perfectly packed. Tried the chicken and the beef meals and they were delicious. The sauces are excellent and the salad is great with a unique dressing.
Went here for my birthday dinner with family, it was delicious! Not pictured was the bread with all the dips, sure it got a bit messy but I'm salivating at the thought of returning here again for a future meal.
I am a tad disappointed with Wild Thyme. It was our first time ordering today. My husband loved his beef and chicken rice dish; however, I had hard time finding a variety of vegan options. I went with baked cauliflower rice dish. It was tasteless. :( The tahini sauce and veggies on top were a nice touch, but the cauliflower lacked any taste and the texture was mushy. On the good side - the portions are HUGE and the bread is absolutely delicious.
The best service I have gotten at a restaurant in a long time. We had three different waiters looking after us and all were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very fresh and portions were generous. One critique is the drinks were a little pricey but the rest of the experience was so good that it didn't take away from the experience.
Was really surprised after we received the dinner. Tasty food, generous portion, great value! Will definitely return for more!
Cute little place with life changing good food! All well prepared with fresh ingredient and large portions. Its basically what every restaurant claims their food is like in ads but Wild Thyme actual does it! The cauliflower bowl is enough for two and those two's breakfast the next day.
Dine in
We were a group of 6 and we were all so full! Food was amazing and fresh. Portions were huge and made to share Service was incredible! Very friendly and fast. We never had to ask for anything, they just knew what we needed and they pay attention to details! We had the servers suggestions and it did not disappoint! Service and food were amazing!!
Great food but a little more pricey than I expected; made up for with generous portion sizes.
Amazing Lebanese food!!! Massive portions, we had two different Man'Oushe as well as a half kafta half chicken entrée... We were stuffed and took a lot home. The service was pretty solid, friendly staff. The ambience could use an update and the bathroom could be much nicer but overall the food experience was TOP NOTCH.
The food came with great varietions of form and flavors, fresh, healthy and delicious, in large portions. We couldn't finished all of them, had to pack and go. The service was attentive. There is a side patio nice to be in a hot day. Would go back there again
Small, cozy restaurant. Simple menu with nice flavours.
We love Wild Thyme! Excellent food at hard-to-beat prices, with a friendly Lebanese family running the restaurant. Highly recommend it.
Not a review of the food but the place and service. Very very limited parking. Expect to park far and walk. They cant serve more than 8 people due to limited space in one go. Waiting time and you getting bounced around to maximize table space is what happened to me. Not worth all the hassle. April 29th, 2017: Reply to owners comment The very personalized nature of the reply, with strong negative under currents, from the owner is an indication of lack of customer service experience. To conclude that I left mad is an exaggeration and false hood to say the least. I didn't and shouldn't know about the health condition of your customers and by posting here you are definitely violating their privacy. The table you offered me was bang in the center of main entrance with people opening and closing the door a million times , ruining the food and customer experience, and that's why i decided not to stay and told you 'Will come back some other time'. There is no need to get defensive to a google review if you believe in your business. It would have been neutralized by positive reviews. Parking 'IS' challenging (google street view will not tell you how busy the available parking spots are - just a dumb explanation). Place is small and cramped by all means. If you plan to visit, parking will be tough and place will be cramped most of the times.
Delicious Lebanese food. Fast and friendly service. We had their Four dips and flat bread, the man'oushe' and the half Kafka and chicken bowl, which came with salad and rice, the portions were huge and we could have been full with half the amount we ordered but everything looked so delicious on the menu that we ordered everything we took fancy to. Service was good and prompt, the ambiance is good and the facilities were nice and clean. Will go again and I highly recommend Wild Thyme to everyone. I did take pictures but forgot to take them until after we started eating. Too delicious to remember my Google review duties.
Our favorite place to eat in New West, and where we always take guests. Food is fantastic - the side salad by itself is tasty - with generous portions. Service a tad slow, but they have often given freebies to compensate. Just show up relaxed and ready to enjoy some truly excellent food.
This restaurant before the arrival of the Corona is always full of people. It is famous for its delicious food and the quiet session inside the restaurant. Currently, it works on external orders delivery and has many customers
Loved their food, their staff, and the atmosphere when I dined in. They check for proof of vaccination before sitting you so this place follows BC health guidelines (always a plus for me). There was no wait when we came and we were seated right away. Ordered 3 plates to share and it was big enough for a party of 3. They serve tea for free and it was such a lovely blend of tea to go along with your meal. We ordered 2 plates of desserts to share as we were full from our meals but the staff was kind and generous enough to give us 3 plates so we can all have a plate for ourselves. I really enjoyed and appreciated that. Thank you for making our dine-in experience memorable and pleasant!!! Highly recommend this place! ????????
I literally am lost for words on how incredible this place is, but I'll try: Firstly Sharif (I hope I spelled your name right sir) was absolutely wonderful. Super helpful, super friendly and very generous. He guided my choices and pointed me in the direction of not only the nicest lebanese food I have had in Vancouver, but some of the nicest food I have EVER eaten. The shish tawouk (chicken) flat bread is AMAZING. The manousheh with beef and chicken, which Sharif recommended, was to die for. The fattoush was fresh and packed with flavour. Their dips, especially the baba ganoush, were stunning. I will DEFINTELY be coming back. Absolutely 10/10 Thank you for existing!
My first time here, and my first time having Lebanese food! Was an excellent experience all around and VERY different from what I usually dine out for. Fresh food, fresh ingredients and a ton of different flavours! Staff was super friendly and welcoming too. Would recommend! A+
Friendly atmosphere and incredible food. Service is a bit slow and food is prepared by order so can be an overall long wait time experience between waiting for a seat, service, and food wait time. However it is worth it and they do enjoy talking to you to make you feel appreciated and welcome there. Highly recommended.
5 star food and service, minus a star for the environment. Quaint outdoor patio area had a few obnoxious wasps. The inside seating was warm because of the oven which is great on a cold day but not on an already warm summer day. Would definitely eat there again despite these issues, the food is out of this world!
A hidden gem in New Westminster. Aromatic spices traditionally found in Lebanese home cooking presented with a modern and fresh spin in all the dishes served here. Seating capacity has more than doubled since I've been here, and service is faster than when they first opened. Flatbreads, dips, pita bread, salads... All amazing. Must try.
Good foods and services no free parking or Wi-Fi but this place it's all about the foods.
First time trying this restaurant and Ordered via Ubereats. Food was amazing and all the ingredients were fresh! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Me and my friend only ordered 2 items from the menu but they have generous portions so it was good for 3-4 people. We got chicken and kafta rice bowl and lahmajun. Kitchen staffs doesn’t disappoint! Highly recommend this restaurant! Ps. The only problem I had was i couldn’t stop eating ????
Excellent, as always. Food is sooo good. Today we ordered just the lahmajoun manoushe, but usually we get a manoushe or two and the 1/4-1/4 kafta/chicken meal and have plenty for leftovers. The proprietor is always very friendly and has made an effort to get to know us and our order, even remembering my kid's name today, after only meeting them once previously. Wild Thyme has been take-out only throughout all of covid, so be aware there's no eating in at the moment.
Just an annual reminder of what an awesome restaurant this is and need to be supported by local community in this post covid era. Most delicious lebanese food in Vancouver area run by a very polite staff. PS: that pita bread with hummus, baba ganaoush etc is to die for!!
Food was very unique. I enjoyed the rice and chicken. I found some things on the menu to have to much herbs/spices. Service was slow so don't go if you are on a schedule. Overall it was a good experience.
We had a great dinner today. The food was so yummy and flavourful. I liked the dipping so much. And the stuff were really great. A must going place with friends and family
Tasty but overpriced. Not many menu options. Nice staff. Decor is okay overall, but the big door is beautiful
Their food is ok, however not as good as expected from the reviews. probably the good reviews set my expectations very high and were not met. Overall ok, not my first choice for the future.
Make sure go with plenty of time! We had to wait 45 minutes for our table but it was totally worth it. The food is great and the portion size is also pretty good. No wonder why it's so busy!
Fantastic food. Great quality, super delicious and very reasonable price. I wish you luck Wild Thyme ????????????
We came to Wild Thyme for lunch after checking online the type of food they offer. They offer middle eastern and Medeterannian food. I don't remember the name but it was a dish of ground chicken with spices spread on a large Medeterannian flat bread. The serving was generous and one order was enough for two people. They have fairly large menu and the prices and the service are reasonable.
Best spot in New west. El Santos is a close second. Typical 12th street vibes of being overly nice but who can complain about that. Value and great food its a rarity
OMG this hidden gem of a place is absolutely amazing!!! We shared the full size Half Kafta - Half Chicken and it was way too much for the two of us but we couldn't stop eating. It was fantastic!!! The service was awesome. We had about a 10 min wait for a table on a Tuesday night. The location is easy to get too. The place is cozy but comfortable. Unless you order a ridiculous amount of food then ask for a bigger table! Will definitely be back soon. Will even tell those people that we don't really like as this place is that awesome!!!
A pleasant atmosphere and aroma greets you right as you walk in the door, you may have to wait but I assure you it's definitely worth your time! The food has been ???? all 3 of the times I've visited and the staff are a great group. Oh let's not forget, the portions are hugee and they have delicious vegan friendly options too!
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Order a half kefta for two of us and felt absolutely full.
After three attempts over 4-5 months could never get through via phoning and going online (website never worked) so we finally just went to the restaurant to order pick up which only took 30mins. People were friendly, there were lots of dips and flatbread. Chicken, beef and rice had lots of flavour and portions were generous. Will definitely go again.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was extremely friendly especially Emilia and Sharif :)
Great food, great staff and great setting/atmosphere. The price for the portions are amazing. They are renown on Instagram and their quality shows why. They have seating inside which is open to the street, it allows for great air circulation. If you're going to go, I suggest not going in a Friday or Saturday evening. The place is lined and packed. It's worth the wait but just a fair warning.
We ate it so fast there’s wasn’t time for a before picture! The waitress was amazing and picked out our dinner for us since we were so lost. Did not disappoint! Everything was amazing and I can’t wait to come back.
Well-deserved 5 stars. Third time was a charm as we finally had a chance to try this place out. Authentic, fresh, delicious! Overheard: "Do have anything without garlic?"...this is not the place for you! Legit Lebanese, Armenian dishes coming straight out of a brick oven. Will definitely be a regular destination!
This restaurant is a hidden gem! They make delicious Lebanese food which includes the flat breads, and rice/meat dishes. The salad as a starter was incredible too. For dessert, we had the Nutella pizza, which was incredibly large! And everything came to such a great price. I most certainly look forward to my next visit!
The food is amazing and service is Fantabulous. Went there for the first time and simply loved it
Amazing taste and solid portions, great spot ????????
Great food, ambience and service! I had heard about this place for a while and last night went for the first time and loved it! The service is very friendly and I really liked our table by the window. And then came the food, oh my. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The flatbread is basically like a pizza only better. I had the chicken which was tender and flavorful. In fact, all the flavors are just amazing, from the dips to the flatbread toppings. From what I hear their quality is very consistent, too, so I will definitely be back.
Fantastic food in this little hidden gem. The warm service and semi-open kitchen make you feel more like a guest in a family's home than a customer. Highly recommended.
The food was a bit underwhelming, main issue was the blandness of the spices and the food being noticabely overcooked and mushy. The appetizers tasted great, but the entrées left much to be desired. I had the baked cauliflower wrap.
My wife dropped off the 'Half kafta, half chicken' with rice dish at my place of work. Of course it was semi-warm'ish by the time it got to me. It was delicious. Would love to try it when hot and at the restaurant. Between the two meats, I liked the chicken more. The rice was nice and flavourful.
This place is a gem! The food is always delicious and fresh, and the staff is very friendly. They have a cute little outdoor seating area that is great for summer nights. The portions are very generous. My husband and I get multiple meals off one entree. The dips are to die for, especially the garlic dip, I could eat nothing but that for the rest of my life. Definitely check it out if you are in the area or feeling like a trip out to New West!
We love this place, so much food! The homemade dips and fresh pita is so flavorful. Salad is very tasty, so fresh tasting.
Everything is so tasty..can't get enough of the garlic dip
Best tasting Lebanese food this side of the Fraser River. Incredible value for the flavor and amount of food. Great service from Mohamad and the other young servers, and one of the nicest owners I've ever met. Highly recommend the chicken dinner meal with the salad and large pita with dips. The shish taouk is also phenomenal.
The dips are so tasty, I look forward to the garlic one most. Their bread is made fresh in their oven. I usually order the half cheese-za’atar manoushe and the half kafka-chicken on rice. It’s enough for 2-3 people and enough variety.
When you order and your waitress forgets not one, not two but three things that your order in a table of four it says a lot about their service. In regards to food it was ok... I had the half and half wrap not something I would order again. I believe the best bet would be to go with the Man'Oushe. My friend like it.
Amazing gem in New West. Food was amazing, entrees came with four dips and flatbread (hummus, babaganouj, garlic dip, yogurt), and the staff were super friendly and attentive.
YOU GOTTA EAT HERE! this place is the absolute best! Huge serving but not skimping on quality. Everything is freshly prepared(from salads to pitas). Servers are so nice and efficient. Owner Marwin is one of the most down to earth employers there is ⭐
Outstanding experience! The place was packed so we had to wait but it was well worth it. The food was spectacular, so much flavor. Really authentic and a great bang for your buck. The timing of the courses was spot on which is hard to do with a full house. I will be back again and again and again!
I happened to go in with my family on a night their oven was having issues. Understandably the food took longer than expected but the staff were extremely apologetic and even provided us with a discount and a few free dishes to compensate. Not only did we get great service the food was top notch. Would visit again.
Absolutely delicious. The pictures say it all. "Half chicken half kufta with Fatoush salad and 4 dips".
Very good experience busy but worth the wait
A cute little place with great charming authentic atmosphere and beautiful food! We were pleasantly surprised to the large portions and reasonable price! Great dishes for sharing and a memorable dinner. Will be back again! Also many options for vegetarians!
Excellent food and huge portions tucked away on 12th in New West. The chicken and kofta combo for 2 comes with rice, salad, and pita/dips. We have been back or ordered delivery a few times. Definitely worth it!
Yum! Yum and absolute Yum food. We have finally found a place to satiate our night cravings for Middle Eastern cuisine. Yaaay! Additionally, packaging is on point and the staff do a great job maintaining a sanitized environment for pickups/ delivery.
Service
Really excellent food. Massive portions.
Consistently good food. I have ordered many times and never been disappointed with the quality and always feel full and good after. Service has also much improved since opening
Great Lebanese restaurant that specializes in manakish. While not quite authentic in taste to a true Lebanese manoushe, it comes pretty close. Especially the za'atar option which was delicious. They do their own sujuk and makanek mix in-house, thought they don't come as a traditional sausage. The fattoush salad was excellent!! Very friendly service, the restaurant was full even late in the evening which is a great sign. Would recommend a visit.
Super tasty food, generous portions, freshly baked family-size pita, reasonable prices and free tea! doesn't get any better for Lebanese food in the Lower Mainland!
Rich flavoured food and great staff. Both chicken and kebab were very tender. Bread and dips are very flavourful, the best is their flatbreads with spicy cheese and minced meet. Service was fast and very friendly, will definitely be back!
Went there last night for my 3_th birthday with hubby and 2 y/o daughter. Food was awesome! Lots of flavours and were all home made. Now my husband wanted to come every pay day (lol). The place was quite small with only street pay parking... BUT who cares? The food is great anyway! Been here 2x????????????
Service was terrible, sat down had waters and waited almost 30 min. The server had seated a couple at a table right beside us and began with taking their order after a couple min even though we were sitting with the our menus closed waiting for 30 min. He then realized he had forgotten about us and then took our order. Waited 30 min for the food to finally come out and I had the spicy cheese which was cold and seemed like a lot of the cheese was still cold and not yet melted. My partner had gotten the cauliflower wrap and the cauliflower was just burnt and just tasted awful. Save to say I won’t be going back to wild thyme anytime soon in the near future. Terrible service Terrible food
The servers went above and beyond. It was a fantastic experience all around. I highly recommend dining in their patio area. It is small but cozy.
This place is awesome! The food and staff are amazing. Wish I knew about this place long time ago!! We had the Kafta with rice (full bowl) and it was DELICIOUS. My boyfriend and I shared it and we were so full afterwords. It comes with a house salad and a pita with four dips. Their dips are amazing!! They are homemade and make me want to come back for more. Would definitely reccomend this place!!!
The tables were kind of small for a 2-seater, but we managed in the end. Their pita bread seemed slightly over baked as it was a little more crunchy than I would've preferred, but it was still amazing with the dips they provide. Their chicken in the entree was really dry but seasoned well.
The food is great, the atmosphere is really cozy with beautiful huge open window really nice place ! However, despite the runners doing great job serving and smiling, the waiter taking the orders was not welcoming at all looked really not happy to be in this place. Unfortunately his approach is ruining the experience...which is a pit. As a customer you feel that it’s better not bother the waiter coz he might get angry.
Literally my favorite restaurant in the lower mainland. Their meats are so tender and juicy, flavors and spices are incredible, best tahini I've ever had!
Lebanese food made to perfection, delicious dips for the pita, along with finger licking main dishes. Friendly staff. Great place for a meal with family and friends.
I usually dont write reviews but when i do its top notch. Service was on point. Spicy sausage flat bread is amazing. Bowls come with a huge baby sized naan bread with incredible dips and pomegranate salads. One flat bread can feed 2 ppl. Definitely worth the drive but make sure u call before u go in case they are fully booked. We had a great thyme.
Food was great and plentiful. Service was good. We had 1/2 meat 1/2 chicken. Really liked the sauce. We also had smoked turkey flat bread. I think the smoked turkey was processed though, so not too happy about that.
The food was delicious! The flavors were so different compared to traditional American style food and the serving sizes were very generous. Took off 1 star because we had to flag down the server a couple times for basic necessities and that they forget to give us the flatbread that we ordered.
Amazing pita bread and amazing dips/sauces. So fresh and tasty, order the kofta wasn't a huge fan of the chicken. But the staff were friendly and accommodating and everything seemed to be made fresh
Everything we had was really good. Portion sizes are large, so come hungry. The dips that come on the side are soooo delicious... I would buy them on their own! Was pretty busy, even at the end of a weekday night, so be prepared for a possible wait.
Just had a wonderful dinner at Wild Thyme. The service was excellent, totally reminded me of my favourite Lebanese restaurant in Saudi Arabia! The food was prepared as we ordered, fresh and hot and delicious. For four adults we ordered 2 flat bread appetizers and 3 bowls. We all ate to being stuffed and had two take out containers of leftovers. Will definitely return.
This is a nice little restaurant in New Westminster. Has been open only for 4 years. It is popular. Sometimes there is even line ups to get in. The food is good, tasty. Portions are generous. The menu can be confusing and it is missing some Lebanese staple dishes. Customer service is good. Servers are friendly and willing to answer any questions we may have. The alcohol selection is different. Lots of foreign beers and some local ones. My only complaint is that there is only one bathroom, which is not that well kept. It needs a bit more attention. Overall, is a good option and addition to New Westminster.
The food here was amazing. Flavorful, fresh and spiced beautifully. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Will be back!
This is a great restaurant! Food is delicious and priced reasonably. Staff is friendly and the owner came out to thank our party personally. My group of friends have agreed to make this our usual dining spot.
Drove about 15 mins to get there! The food quality and service was 5/5! I definitely recommend this place for authentic Lebanese food. It was a bit cold inside but besides that everything was great!
The food here is awesome! So flavourful and reasonably priced. I get take out from here all of the time. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but the food is worth it. I recommend the Lebanese sausage flatbread.
I am Lebanese and grew up in lebanon most of my life. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the exceptional service and care we got from the waiter. I’ve never seen any of the food on the menu made anywhere in lebanon and it’s anything but Lebanese. Also the prices are outrageous.
Not big on reviews but omg. This place blew me away. I went with my aunt for a quick bite of dinner after work and we had no idea what treat we'd be in for. The food is amazing to say the least. Homemade pita bread, amazing salads, super moist chicken. All of it was just wow. The portion sizes are huge and the prices are more than affordable. Highly highly highly recommend!!
Updated review: the place jacked up prices and their online menu does not show any pricing. 27$ for a flatbread lol... 50% markup forcing including dips and salad into pricing where as before it was optional. Wasted 40 minutes round trip as they fail to mention the total over the phone. Also waited 20 minutes for two people to place their orders and had two people over another 10 minutes greet me with neither having the order (called in for pickup) or even disclose the price and try to take my payment. I left without my order to get sushi. Claims covid is at fault for the hike lol... Would not be surprised if there out of business by next year.
All the food here tasted very authentically foreign in a pleasant way like a vacation for your taste buds during Covid. Each dish tasted super fresh. A nice hearty meal with food nicely seasoned with spices. Worthy trying.
Great place for authentic middle eastern fare. One of my favourite things they do here is fresh baked bread served with dips that come with every meal. I’ve never left here hungry or disappointed. Serving sizes are large, would recommend sharing a few different plates if you’re in a group.
Food is so delicious here. Their appetizer humus is a good assortment. I would give them 5 stars if they had air conditioning. It's boiling hot in there when it's sunny and there isn't any circulation! I wouldn't go there if it's a hot and sunny day.
The best lebanese food I've ever tried! Great food and service!
Amazing food, the quality of food is evident after the first bite. It's a high end boutique restaurant that will leave you wanting to lick your fingers clean. Ideal for a first date or a business dinner. Also the prices seem high but the food is A LOT. HUGEE portions for 2-3 people.
Very delicious foods, if I am only scoring for how good the food is this is very easily a five star place. However the service is really slow, we were one of the very first ones seated there, and food didn't come for 50 freaking minutes. This is not a French restaurant charging you 200 bucks to wait for them, so that is quite unacceptable in my book. That being said, the food IS really good here, still highly recommended, just remember to charge your phone before you come.
Very nice place and super yammi food.
This was love at first bite. Such fresh and flavourful food. The portions were massive too. Particularly loved the freshly baked pita bread. Will definitely be back here lots!
Meal type
For the most delicious Syrian style flat breads I recommend the beef lahmajun from wild thyme. For an even more authentic dish try the Zatar bread.
Server was running around the restaurant constantly trying to avoid running into his colleagues. Made us feel very anxious and just made the energy in the place too high and not comforting. We ordered tea and it was cold and they couldn't get us warm tea. Our server recommended sujuk was a flatbread that cost $26 for half meat and half cheese and took 30 minutes to make in a place of 8-10 tables. This is overpriced and not recommended by me.
Awesome food and friendly staff. Came here for dinner with a larger group of friends on a Sunday evening. A friend came earlier before 5pm and when I got there at 5, there were folks waiting for a table already. Pro tip - show up before 5pm on Saturday to avoid the line up. The food is good sized, good value and very tasty!
This is probably one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to in my life. The food is as good as food gets, and while I know you cant lump middle eastern cuisines together and say theyre the same, to the extent that you can, this is the best. There isnt anything to avoid on the menu but we usually get the Lahmajoun and Chicken Taouk which will both blow you away. The food here really is on another level and the flavour and quality of the food is better than I think most people will have thought possible. All of that though should come with a warning. The time it takes to get your food is reaalllly long. We waited 35 minutes and 40 minutes respectively for only 2 flatbreads, and I dont think we've ever waited less than 20 for our main courses (and we always make a point to get there before the rush). Salads come out quick and are also somehow incredible and a cut above everywhere else, but service, the washroom, the atmosphere, the street it looks onto, all of those could be a bit better. If you come here be prepared to wait, probably feel a little cramped and maybe have dishes that arent spotless (not dirty but just spots on them etc). In the end the food is what matters and there is no person I wouldnt reccomend this place to, but do make sure you know what to expect.
Dinner
SUPER delicious food!!! Loved everything. Staff are really friendly, too. Order a flatbread and some dips for takeout, enjoy your dinner in a nearby park, you'll be so glad you did!
Amazing food! Only feedback would - you gotta name the cauliflower rice better than cauliflower rice! It’s so good and it’s so much more than just rice!! We ordered the best veggie dish per our servers reco and man it was a hit! I will be here again for sure
Delicious. Our manousheh (half za'atar half cheese) was huge and very generous on the cheese, za'atar herb mix was perfect. Our foul was very flavourful, full of pickled and fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked mixed legumes and very saucy. The pita was so fresh and chewy (and huge), and our kafta with rice was also delicious, rice was nicely spiced. The pomegranate dressing with the fattoush was so good, very tangy and just the right touch of sweet. Very happy we decided to try this place. Will definitely go again.
This place is fantastic, never before have I been so excited for a bread course. A bit expensive but you do get your money's worth.
The food was amazing! Portions are big, that explains the price, totally reasonable once you see how good it is and how much get. Service was amazing. Staff were super friendly and kind. I will definelty come here to eat again. Parking can be tricky but there are street parking available.
Very friendly owners who clearly care. The food is delicious and oh so plentiful. It's actually too cheap for the quality and amount you get. I tried telling them they could charge more but they just wouldn't hear it. Best restaurant in new west for sure. Only down side is the location is very small. Always a gamble for getting a table
Favourite New West restaurant of all time. When we discovered this Lebanese restaurant, we went 3 weeks in a row cause it was THAT good. The flavours, the friendly and quick service. This place gets busy as it’s only open for dinner since the pandemic but they will introduce lunch again soon. Great to dine in or take out. Make sure you order their pita and flatbreads!
1) The place: Super cool that little patio on the side of the building is really cozy and nice place to sit, relax and eat quietly. 2) The food: amazing, delicious ???? pita and flat bread was so fresh right from the oven. 3) The staff: super friendly and helpful.. they make it clear about the quantity of the food. Highly recommend it, if you want to have a great experience of middle eastern food especially (Lebanese)… don’t hesitate go there, it’s worth it.
Just 1 word…. Delicious. Hope they open little earlier though. Dont want to eat too much for dinner.
Authentic and tasty food. Made with love
Gorgeous ! I have been in BC for 8 months and was dying for authentic, delicious, Halal, Arabian cuisines and this is the one! Appetizers, dips and welcoming flat bread was fabulous! Lahmajoon and Sojoq mana2eesh were above wow. The half half rice chicken/kafta was amazing. The portions were huge so we had to take leftovers home. The staff was very welcoming. Will surely visit again and again! يسلمو ????
Great flavour, huge portions, fresh produce and bubbly staff. Can't wait to go back!
The flavours in everything is amazing, from the bread with hummus and dips, to the freshly prepared salads and dressing (omg pomegranate seed bursts with crisp greens), to the mains of kafta and chicken and rice with herb leaves embedded right in. I love this restaurant and will continue to order takeout from here until we can resume dine-in. THANK YOU SO MUCH to the staff and owner.
Unique tastes and flavors but homemade taste. Large portion sizes. The Foul is vegetarian and delicious medley of ingredients. The Taouk wrap comes open faced and has a good mix of meat and toppings in tahini. The pita is fresh baked and amazing too eat by itself when it's warm. Owner is very friendly and passionate about the food. Will visit again.
Just enjoyed a great meal here. It's been a long time since I've been out and enjoyed the food so much. Thumbs up all the way!!!
Food was great. Would definitely go back.
Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. Have been going for years and was so pleased to see the expansion. Recommended strongly.
Really great food! Shared the 1/2 meat and 1/2 chicken bowl and was very full afterwards. Everything was well seasoned. The chickened was really moist and delicious. The kafta was really well spiced and tasted rich. The pita and dips that came with the bowl was amazing!
Such good food, quality service. Great vegetarian options and even with the small menu, it was hard to choose! (Because it all sounded so delicious!)
Lived in New West for 20+ years and this is among the best food we've ever had. So happy to order from this restaurant as often as possible!!
Beautiful restaurant, they had hanging flower baskets and a huge retractable window which made it quite pleasant. We had one half of the 1/2 kafta and 1/2 chicken and it was way more than enough for lunch for two people which included an enormours soft pita and salad. The flavours of everything was delicious, I loved it
Great food, pretty fair prices, and great staff. How ever, it does lack some more space and it doesn't have Shaw Open and Shaw Passpoint. If you are claustrophobic, I don't think you would enjoy this restaurant as much. If you are a little claustrophobic, then you should be fine. I totally reccomend this place as the Lebanese cuisine is great ????
Think I just had the best pita of my life hahaha.
Very delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy table outside nestled beside Wild Thyme and the neighbouring building with nice decorations made for a great experience.
Great as usual! Can't wait to be able to enjoy their pita bread, dips, chicken, rice and beef dishes again. Tenderness of the chicken months ago in last winter spring was amazing!
Good food, price and excellent costume service. Thanks.
Meal type
This place is a gem. Not only is the food heavenly but it also comes in big portions
Food is very flavourful, everything is fresh, staff are friendly. We went with the hostess' recommendation being completely new to Lebanese cuisine - and recommend you do the same. Casual atmosphere, interesting interior. The place could use a little bit more curb appeal and probably benefit from opening up the windows so passers-by can realize this establishment has so much going on )
This is my first time eating at wild thyme and won't be my last! Friendly staff, tasty food and portions are big. Prices are reasonable. A local business I will happily support again and again!
Delicious, plentiful food served fresh out of the oven. The lunch and dinner entrees serve 2-3 people, and they're amazing. Would recommend to anybody!
Great food. Absolutely loved it. Portions and variety of side plates is good. Price is OK. Ambient is nice and cozy. Staffs are friendly. Will go back for more!
Food was okay, but the place was super hot. No air conditioning at all. Service was quite slow too. Out dips all came out fifteen minutes before they even brought out the bread. Overall, a good meal, but not a great one.
Great spot for a date night. In the summer, the windows open up and the cool night air comes in. Food is delish and authentic. Servings are very generous! We ordered the dip tray for an appetizer and shared a 1/2 kofta and 1/2 chicken main. Was more than enough for two hungry adults and a hungry toddler. Owner came by and was very friendly too. Highly recommended! We'll be back for sure.
Amazing food!! From it’s side dips to its entrées , everything stood out.Short menu but whatever they serve, they serve the best. Loved the fresh baked breads(naans) and dips. Also, don’t forget to try their tea.
We had a good dining experience here for my birthday. Expect to a line up to get seated. Inside is not huge yet bright and nicely decorated. Food menu is not complicated. Salad was amazing. Fresh baked bread and dips were really tasty. We got small size Meatballs and rice and was big enough to share between two. Meatball me were a bit dry but they were delicious. Flat bread was also really fresh and tasty. For drink we got ayran, which is a yogurt drink. We found it to be a bit too thick for our taste and not smooth (and we have been drinking ayran since we were kids, so we know what ayran should be like) After I drank 1/4 of it, I added cold water in it and it made it more suitable for our taste. Server was attentive and helpful to decide on our choices. We will go back and try other items in next time.
Truly one of the best restaurants in the lower mainland. The flavor, the service, the options. Never disappoints. Ever. My wife and I eat in and take some home just so we can eat it twice in one day.
I found the food here to be quite flavorful and cooked just right. The brick style oven they have is quite impressive for a smaller restaurant like this one. The entree full price seemed a hit high for lunch time however a half order won't leave you hungry and the price is reasonable considering the quality. Like other reviewers mentioned the service could use some "polishing" but I found it adequate.
Awesome place for Lebanese food. First time coming here and I’m definitely coming back.
If you want to try something different, this is the place! Fantastic, flavorful dishes at great prices! Small place so you may have to wait, but worth it. Fast becoming my favourite restaurant!
Absolutely amazing food, flavour mouthgasms, I've brought so many people here. This is quite possibly my favourite restaurant in the Lower Mainland.
Service
I’ve been here several times, and everyone I bring here is blown away with the quality and the flavors. Love this place! Yes it gets busy, but hey, relax and enjoy the atmosphere, it’s a fun, family friendly place with the most amazing food.
Easy 5/5. Everything was very tasty and the portions were large as well. I would definitely order from here again. My only complaint is that there appeared to be some whole cardamoms in the food, and if you happen to get one of them in your bite it overpowers the taste of everything else.
Service
Excellent food and excellent service. My 8 years old twin boys gave it "the best Lebanese restaurant ever". But it is busy so call for reservations ????????????????
Amazing food, great people and they gave us complementary rose and cardamom tea. What else does one want? And did I mention amazing food in large portions? Try the rice bowls (more like a rice skillet). It had the right amount of spice and beautifully marinated and cooked meat. Came with home made pita bread, a plate of different dips and a bowl of salad with the most amazing dressing (third time in a short paragraph, I know). Definitely will go back and take other people with us too.
Great selection of authentic Lebanese foods. The fattoush salad is delicious! Everyone raves about the chicken so that's what we got, but I found it a little on the dry side and too lemon-y for my personal taste. I loved the flatbread though. My friend recommended to do half Za'Atar and half 4 cheese and we loved it! The service was also very quick and friendly. They brought complimentary dips like hummus, babaganoush, etc. with homemade bread. Would come back again!
Amazing food & really friendly stuff and best owner .great experience i really recommend it
A great little place for mediterranean food. The service is friendly. The amount of food you get is humongous! Thus it's a great value for money option. Go for a late brunch and you get your dinner sorted too :)
The food was amazing and the service was great great and friendly. It's is a really small place with very little seating which makes it a nice atmosphere. This is a place I will definitely be going back to. I couldn't have been more satisfied with my experience there.
Food was yum and portion size was awesome. This is our new favorite place in Vancouver. Service, even though it was a single gentleman was very good too. They were busy, which says a lot. The fresh pita is the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this place.
Went for lunch today and was the first to recieve meal service. Had a long wait, but the three course rice bowl was absolutely the best Lebanese I have had out, with the fresh pita a nice surprise. I would rank this above the popular Nuba restaurants in more posh areas of Vancity.
Amazing food, big portions!
I only have good things to say about this place! Its a small family run restaurant. When we first arrived there was a wait to be seated. However, that wasn’t an issue as the food more than made up for the wait time. The portions are a good size. The flavours are amazing. There are lots of vegetarian options as well. I will definitely be returning.
Really tasty Lebanese food! Delicious flat breads brick oven fired with an assortment of toppings. And these things are huge! Also have these very tasty skillets with meat, rice, tahini sauce, onions and tomatoes, severed with a huge fresh oven baked pita(with 4 dips!!) and salad! You get a ton of food for the money spent, and it's all just fresh and delicious! Definitely give it a go!
Not only the best Lebanese food I have had but some of the best food in general. The space is small, you may have to wait but it's worth it. The staff were very helpful, genuine, and seemed proud of their food. They should be too, it's top notch! Can't wait to go back.
Dine in
We had to wait about 15 min for our table but it was well worth the wait. The food is amazingly flavourful! And leftovers for lunch! They are so popular - I wonder if it's time to find a bigger location.
Update: I still stand by what I said below but the wait time has been a little unreasonable.we called at 6:15 to place an order and were told to go at 7:45 for pick up. We got there and waited another 20mins - 8:10pm. That's almost 2 hours with no explanation. ???? I understand that they are busy, which is why we called so much earlier already. Plus we were told to go at a certain time and still end up waiting. Quite disappointed. Family run business that is loved by all it's neighbors. The food is consistently delicious. A meal set is VERY filling so I would recommend one main and maybe a small side to share between two. Lots of spices used so the aroma is outstanding. I love the rice dishes and the hummus is super tasty.
Really good food and excellent service, those two things will always make me want to come back again! They make fresh flat bread which I think they make as you order. Their kafta was really good! I suggest you do a half bowl if you will be getting it for yourself as it is on the hefty side. Their Man'Oushe' (flat bread with toppings) are good for sharing and you get more than what you pay for in my opinion, try the Half Za'atar and Half Cheese Man' Oushe'. The server and the owner were constantly checking up on us and refilling our water and tea. Which is key for a good dine out! Two thumbs up!
Food was just so delicious but be prepared to wait for an unusual amount of time, looks like the place is a bit understaffed but the wait was just worth it. The staff seemed to focus on a particular table when we went for dine in and pretty much ignored our table, ended up waiting for 30mins just to get a take out box and cheque inside the restaurant. Definitely more staff is needed for dine in service to avoid such waste of time.
Great pita and spreads. Place has a stone oven and the breads are fresh made. Most dishes are done in the oven. Could not even think of finishing one entree between two people. Biggest problem is getting seated as there is always a wait for tables. A true 5 star place.
Amazing food - would give more stars if I could!! The dips were to die for (especially the baba ganoush) - I couldn’t stop saying mmMmmmMmm every time I took a bite. Also highly recommend the kafta/chicken with rice - very hearty and delicious.
Love the authentic Lebanese flavours. Portions are quite generous. Will go back to try more menu items. Very accomodating and welcoming staff.
Amazing food...very friendly staff.
Love this place. Best Lebanese food. For anyone who wants the real deal, eat here. Only downside, no reservations, you may have to wait. Be there at 5 for an early dinner.
Went last weekend for dinner with a toddler and a baby was made to wait more than 1.5 hr on the street just because they didn't want kids on the front area of their restaurant. Saw two/three families who were all adults come after us and were seated and served before us. Mind you they don't take reservations. Once we were seated (which btw was in a very tight corner of their restaurant near the washroom), we waited at least 50 minutes for our food. Upon inquiring I was given a very rude response from the server " We can not cook faster than the fire". I had only asked how much longer it will be as my toddler was almost falling asleep on the table. Also before ordering we asked the waiter if the portion we ordered was sufficient to which he said absolutely yes. When the food arrived we realised it wasn't and wanted to place another order to which the waiter came back and said " they were out of tomatoes". This was my third and last time i tried this place. I always wanted to give them chances but each time i left disappointed. The last time i was there they broke the dip bowls right on my table with everything splashing literally on me and my partner. I wish they could be more professional, fair and prompt.
Lovely and busy neighborhood Lebanese restaurant, big portion, delicious and wholesome food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Really enjoyed walking around the area too. Will come back to try out those flat bread dishes.
I loved the atmosphere and the simple menu it was my first time trying Lebanese food. It was delicious! Great tasting veggie dishes for vegetarian fellas :)
The staff seemed friendly enough, but they don't seem super in tune with what might be appropriate spacing given the current pandemic. Although they are visually checking vaccine passports and IDs, they offer shared tables (i.e. 2 groups of 2 sharing a table for 6). My friend did mistakenly say yes to sitting at a shared table, as she was thinking there might be a partition or a good amount of space between us and the other group of 2, but that was not the case. The restaurant was tight quarters in general and even individual tables of 2 were fairly close to other tables of 2. Business is hard, but I think there should still be some consideration for safety and customer comfort. Not to mention, since we were sat inside against the wall, menu, cups, utensils and water were all slid over to us from the other end of the table... It just didn't seem to be the ideal arrangement for anyone. Hopefully I'll be able to return sometime when it's less busy or once covid is less of an ongoing concern...
Some friends introduced me to this little "hole in the wall". They handed out an amazing iced tea with rose water, mint and cardamom drink on the house on that night to do some product testing.. right place, right time! the food is delicious and reminds me of dishes I had growing up in Turkey.
Delicious food and big servings. The place is a bit tight but it's cozy, otherwise the food is very tasty. We loved it.
Vegetarian friendly, cosy and warm atmosphere. Can get a bit steamy and warm. Best items were the 4 dips and pita and the fatoush salad: really outstanding. The entrees were ok, tends to be on the over salted side for my taste. Parking limited -- street parking.
If you can take your time a bit you should definitely come here. I ordered the chicken + kafta, which doesn't have much of a description but it's a while meal with salad and appetizers, think of it like a picnic. I'll definitely be back here soon bringing along a number of friends.
My favorite restaurant in BC! Food that actual has flavor! So much taste. And the service is amazing. Do try their flatbread and the chicken/kafta bowl, it’s to dieeee for. We take 2 buses to eat here haha. You guys are the best!
Great service despite being packed and busy. We ordered the full order of half chicken half kafta on rice and it was good for 4 maybe. Thought it was good for two. Flatbread and dips were amazing!
Wonderful little hidden gem of a restaurant in New West. Very flavourful. Service was a little slow and the beer selection was on the expensive side. Most of the beer was $10-12 a bottle. Domestic was $8.
Food was good but the prices are too high. They charge pickup the same as delivery ad bonus the difference. Not cool.
Super cool restaurant, the food is simply amazing, with all the flavours coming together to create an unforgettable taste! Side dishes are fantastic too!
I’d consider myself a regular and the food quality is superb. Their menu is small but what they do, they do well. I’ve had a few frustrating moments with take out orders with them, especially in times of covid but Marwan was very quick to offer a generous solution when I brought it to their attention. I’m happy dine in is now available and they are definitely a business that caters to their customer base, the new west community. Give em a try, the flat breads are great and the 1/2 chicken 1/2 Kafta meal will leave your belly full!
Food was delicious with generous portions but the service was slow and subpar. We waited 20 mins for the salad, then received our 4 dips and had to wait another 20 mins for our pita after having to ask for it, while two other tables seated after us received theirs first. We were disappointed with the experience.
Great food and even better hospitality! Have always left satisfied after eating here. Their salad is one of the best I've ever had! The flavors in their food makes its presence known very boldly. Have been here multiple times and don't plan on stopping any"thyme" soon! The only criticism I have of this place is their awkward waiting area. They can do much better with how their face of the restaurant looks like. Customers don't want to be waiting where you keep your cleaning materials. Some smart space planning can certainly eleviate this. Overall, go for the food and service, but turn a blind eye to their decor/ambiance.
Nice aromas when you come in the door, and friendly service from what might be a family operation. The kabob is only available as beef however, and my wife, our companion and I all love lamb. Prices are moderate and appropriate.
Lovely place! They dont do reservations but we got seated immediately. A group of 5 behind us took a bit longer. The place itself is small but quite charming. They have generous portions. We got the entree 1/2 chicken + 1/2 meat which came with salad, pita, and 4 dips The fresh baked pita is fluffy and delicious and the dips went soo well with it. The salad was great. Lots of different types of greens radish, pomegranate, etc.. with a zesty vinegrette sauce. The entree itself was nice but not the star. The meat was a a bit dry, chicken was moist. They serve lots of rice. The portions could've served 4.
Great food, small seating area but the staff were very attentive and I had no issues calling for a server. I would gladly go again.
The food is delicious, certainly one of the best I've ever had in my entire life! The rice with chicken is really tasty, everything we ordered was great, and everyone was polite.
food was suuuuuper good and the staff is very friendly! if the weather is nice, definitely recommend sitting outside, the decor is very cute
This place is truly a hidden gem in the GVA. Since it opened I've driven by almost every day, and finally we decided to head in. It's a small family run business, and everyone was incredibly accommodating and friendly. My partner has never had Lebanese food and was excited to try it, and almost like he had sensed that it was an new experience, the gentleman running the shop offered dust free tea, pita and dips, and even gave us the option to split our flatbread into two flavours to try more. The food was EXCELLENT. So fresh and full of flavour - and there were so many options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I'll be back for the cauliflower rice bowl again!
Authentic Lebanese food. Loved the ambiance. The only negative was their dips such as the hummus was lacking a little bit of taste but hoping on another day it would be better. Would certainly go back there!
Oh my, I love this place. So glad we found it. Family style eating. Wonderful food and good size portions so whole family can enjoy.
Great little restaurant with amazing pita and flat breads. The signature sad there is satisfying and unique. I recommend the pita!
Great food and amazing customer service. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything from the salads to the flatbreads/rice are all great.
Jumping to the point, great fresh authentic Lebanese food, prepared on order. My friend and I enjoyed every bit of it. Awesome people and very hospitable. Wild thyme is a must.
Great place for Lebanese food. Found it on google and we had to try it. This is the second time I ate here. Love their pita with 4 dips. We ordered their cauliflower with rice, which came with salad and pita +4 dips for a great price. So much food! The cauliflower dish was great. I had the meat before but was too dry for my liking. The flatbread was also fantastic. Ordered the ground beef, tomato, and Onion with half of red pepper and spicy tomato. Just tasty! Will definitely recommend to other people.
Our family meal for six, made up of the chicken/rice & cauliflower/rice meal, complete with bread and a selection of dips, was absolutely delicious. The meal was fresh, flavourful, and a welcome change to the usual take out order. Will definitely return for another "Wild Thyme". Thank you.
We sat outside on the patio, which was a bit cooler and less noisy than inside. The food was fabulous and easily accommodated to be vegan if it wasn't already. The cauliflower with rice bowl was very flavourful. Homemade pita bread baked in the stone oven was delicious on its own but even better with the dips. The fattoush salad was a refreshing start to the meal. It's a great place to go as a group and the meal sizes are generous. The staff were friendly and helpful but kept very busy with the steady flow of customers. We really enjoyed our time there and look forward to going back.
So i'll start with the pros – the food is amazing! I've eaten here a few times now and the food is consistently great. I've tried quite a few things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed with anything. The portion sizes are also very generous, and I always end up taking leftovers home. It's also a great value, the pricing is pretty modest considering the quality and amount of food you get. The con (there is only one) – I think they might be victims of their own success a little bit. It always seems chaotic in the restaurant, and as someone who used to work in a restaurant for several years I feel like I need to fight the urge to want to jump up and help them out mid-service. They are always hustling, and you can tell they are trying very hard so I definitely don't hold it against them, they are clearly doing the best they can and are always polite and courteous. But I feel like they would really benefit from a couple more seasoned servers and a host that are used to working in a high volume restaurant. I think that would create not only a better experience for their customers but also would be less stressful for the other staff as well. A couple tips for ordering – the entrees are delicious but they all have similar flavour profiles so I definitely suggest just ordering one entree and then getting flatbreads with it. My other tip (and maybe this one is obvious) is definitely share! Maybe their menu even states that, but it's the kind of food/ place where it just makes sense for everyone at your table to eat communally. Plus you get to try more things that way ;) All in all I don't hesitate giving them 5 stars, the food is amazing and the staff are all very lovely.
I had the opportunity to go there for the second time after a month, and the server recognized me :) They are super friendly, and the food is delicious!
Staff were very interactive, creating a meal experience. The food was incredible. The owners tailored the dishes to our likes and made some excellent recommendations. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time! This restaurant got 3rd spot on Yelp's most recent top 100 in Canada and it was clear why tonight. Fantastic!
Good food and friendly service but I do feel that the dishes are overpriced for what they are.
I had a visitors from Las Vegas and its their first time to eat Lebanese food and my visitors says "food was so delicious, all foods were served hot, newly cooked especially the pita bread and mixed salad were fresh". Place was cozy and cleaned. Lastly, I wanted to commend "Precious" for her extra effort to go and beyond of her job and to all staff who are so accommodating and friendly. Kudos to the Manager as well. Definitely, I am going back again on this restaurant even though I have been here twice coz I love there place, food was delicious and staff are amazing. No complaint at all.
Great food. Wonderful staff.
Very good food and friendly service.
The food is absolutely delicious, the price is super fair, the people serving are very friendly. This is one of the rare restaurants that we would wait 45 min to get a table, and we do it because it is great.
Took my friend with a disability here for dinner. My friend was unfortunately unable to eat his meal after the second bite due to noticing a mismatch with his dietary restrictions. Waiting staff were helpful with the circumstance, but the bill still included all costs of the meal even after it was sent back promptly. Good food and good waiting staff, unfortunate outcome with the full charges and wasted food.
I was there on Sunday night and the service was absolutely HORRIBLE! Hands down the worst service I've ever had at a sit down restaurant; the greeter did not speak English, and our waitress made me question how she even got the job. It was 45min past closing and we were the last people there. Yet, the waitress chose to set tables instead of take of payment to the point where we had to go up to the cash register (everyone was else was handed a machine at their table when finished). Ordered the cauliflower platter; the cauliflower was burnt and the menu stated there was 4-5 dips included yet we were charged for the 5th one. The salad was pretty good, but not worth it for a $35 meal between 2 people. I would never recommend, or go near that place again. RESPONSE TO OWNER: The waitress informed us that we would be charged for the fifth dip, so maybe you need to train your employees according to your beliefs of how a restaurant should be run. I did not insult the young man whatsoever, simply that he did not speak English fluently leading to communications issues. The waitress you mentioned did not inform me that she was from New Westminster or that we attended the same high school; we did not have any communication of our social lives whatsoever, because once again her service was poor and she paid little attention to us. And no my friend and I were not talking to each other at that point, since we were tired and wanted to go home. So, we would not have felt rushed, especially since we asked for a to go box and sat waiting to pay. And yes, the cauliflower was burnt in flavor which is why we couldn't consume it. If 99% of your customers enjoyed it, then you would not have any negative reviews or complaints about your service. Some people do not simply have the time to care or write an angry review, yet here I am telling you my honest opinion.
I have been to Wild Thyme on a few occasions, most recently to celebrate my Mum’s 70th birthday. The food is always amazing and the staff were so accommodating with our larger group despite being a tiny restaurant. The portions are giant, this is a great place to share a meal with a friend! I miss the rose tea, though!
Family owned, small restaurant that makes incredibly delicious food. We usually order the full chicken or kebab meal but what the menu doesn't tell you is that it comes with a fattoush salad, freshly oven baked flat bread and 4 dips. We always have left overs to bring home.
Very cute little spot in New West serving authenic Lebanese eats. Portions are huge! 3 of us were able to share the 1/2 beef (kafta) and 1/2 chicken rice bowl which comes with a giant hot pita, 4 delicious dips (garlic mayo, lemon-y yogurt, roasted eggplant and hummus) and salad dressed in a flavourful vinegrette. The rice bowl did take a very long time to come out but was worth the wait, we thought the chicken was especially good. Huge chunks of chicken breast, super flavourful and tender. Will be back! Update: Tried the spicy cheese flatbread and it is to die for. It is not actually spicy at all, just has a bit more flavour than the regular cheese flat bread.
We loved it here. The owner is so kind. The food is amazing. Love all the unique flavors. Good size portions. We sat in the outside courtyard & it was very relaxing atmosphere. They have thier own wood burning oven for thier flatbread...fresh, fluffy & delicious. Highly recommend everyone go & enjoy. They do not have a liquor license yet so heads up to all who hoped to order some with thier meal.
You see a dome oven baking pita when you walk in. Pretty cool to see big pillows of pita coming out on peels. The food is very good. Can't go wrong with any of the rice dishes. Everything is family style so it's great to order a few things and share with the table. For the garlic lovers, the garlic aioli dip is heavy on the garlic. Vampires beware.
I tried this place twice. The first time we ordered maniosha zataar and their appetizer dish, and the full portion of their kofta in a hot pan. Both my friend and I liked the vegetarian stuff, but felt very heavy after eating their kofta, the meat was charred from outside, but hard not well cooked from inside. We didn't get a good feeling at all. We went back after few months, and we thought we give it the benefit of the doubt, again their manieesh, their dough, and bread really good, but the meat wrap, was horrible. The sauce was runny, and the meat wasn't fresh. Also, it's very pricey.
Good food a bit overpriced and mostly fusion, not very authentic. Overall worth trying they just need to work more on the service.
I honestly don't know where to start, everything was so good. The restaurant is pretty chill place, they have a cute little patio thing on the side of the building. The food was amazing and the staff so friendly. We loved this place and will definitely return and for anyone who is questioning if they should eat here, DO IT! Fantastic little place!
Love this place. Their food is amazing each and every time!! From their fresh made flat breads, to their dips and their rice dishes. We keep coming back :)
First visit - Pre-ordered food and was served on time. This Halal Lebanese restaurant in New Westminster is a gem. The staff provided great customer service. Second visit - Took guests there after 6 months on a late Tuesday night. Staff was polite, effective and Jade our server was a delight. At first prices may seem odd but your appetite is well taken care off. The half portions are well served for 2-3 people because the lavash bread with dips (very yummy) and tasty pomegranate salad is included. Soothing Tea on the house tooo! Perhaps the serving staff needs to explain this better. If u get the full portion, 4 people can get easily stuffed or 2 people will have left overs ???????? So for a group, pricing is very reasonable. Great and authentic flavours! Keep it up. To the chef, the kafta NEEDS to be little most, it’s on the drier side, although very tasty :) P.s Everything is halal except the turkey
It was obviously a local favourite because the tables were packed. But we sat for a very long time before anyone came to acknowledge us, which only happened because my 89 year old grandfather got up to ask for menus! The food was plentiful, but not a huge fan of the flavours. I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like tahini, because tahini was literally in everything.
The oven baked pita and dips are amazing, especially the garlic and red pepper ones, worth the trip itself. Came here again, and the salad with pomegranate molasses dressing was out of this world. There was a piece of plastic found inside it, though; but the wait staff was so apologetic and courteous that they took care of our meal AND another salad was given to us. That is service and they sure know how to treat their customers well.
Really good food. The ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The prices were fair considering the quality and amount you get. The waitress working did a fantastic job considering she was the only one serving. I did notice that the water/water glasses seemed dirty...but other than that no criticisms... would go back for sure.
Love this place! Am a regular. Often order takeout. Amazing food and good value.
Solid 3/5. Restaurant was frigid. I had to wear a coat. Cutlery was cold. Food was ok. Service was great.
Great food, we started ordering from Uber eats, flavor was amazing, we went to the restaurant and it was from another world, totally recomend, staff is great and attentive.
I really love the food. We have been there many times but it is great value and great taste for a fair price. We always have too much and have left overs for the next day.
We got a half kafta dish and a full chicken dish that comes with rice and the salad. Too much food for two! You got four different dipping sauces garlic, roasted red pepper, a yogurt, hummus which comes with bread. Thoroughly enjoyed all the food here, it was busy at dinner time and received great service. Would definitely come back!
I live in New West and have eaten here a few times now. The food is definitely 5 stars, and I love the open wall that they've recently installed, but I do have a couple things to mention: The service isn't very present, and they seem run off their feet most of the time. The last time I was there, there seemed to be only two people serving the entire dining room (a woman and a younger man), and the young man seemed to be taking a lot of direction from the woman. There also doesn't seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason to how/when food arrives to the table. I was there with my husband, and I watched a table of 6 next to us receive food even though we ordered before them. They got their pits & dips, salads, and then their mains. Meanwhile, I received dips about 30mins after we placed our order, pita about 5 mins after the dips arrived, main 10 mins after that, and then the salad. My other issue is the amount of dishes they bring out versus the size of the table. My husband and I were seated at a table for two, and with the large board that his flatbread arrived on, the four small bowls containing dips, the large basket that they bring the pita in, the skillet containing my main, the bowl of salad, plus small plates, water bottle, and water glasses, there is literally no room for anything else, and it makes for an awkward eating experience. I would prefer to eat at the restaurant itself, but because of these two points, I think we'll stick to ordering in via skipthedishes instead.

Lebanese restaurant with huge portions of amazing and flavourful food. We ordered the rice bowl which was absolutely delicious but my favourite was probably the fresh pita bread and dips that it came with. The place is small and packed but well worth the wait. Going down as one of my favourite restaurants - would highly recommend and definitely come back.
Great experience here with great set of meal. It's an awesome family restaurant with lots of facilities. Cozy and comfort environment, good parking space and nice location! really appreciate their services!
A very authentic and fragrant dinning experience. Waiters are super nice and the foods are absolutely excellente. Only thing is that it is usually extremely crowded on Friday nights and weekends.
My mouth waters just thinking about Wild Thyme's delicious food !! Fantastic staff
We had the Kafka bowl with half chicken too, and one of the flat breads with toppings. I chose spicy which was a really good choice and not too much for me (I can take some but not tons of spice). They also make fresh pressed orange juice that is so sweet and smooth with fresh pulp (my no-pulp bf loooved it). The food is filled with flavours, freshly made and from scratch. Even their salads are top tier. We are definitely coming back.
Food was amazing! The pita and flat bread is so fresh right from the oven. All the sauces and dips were great. There was so much food, great value. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. Decent beer selection as well. I can see why this spot is rated so highly!
The food was amazing and it all came in great portions. My favourite was their pita bread and dips, but everything else was also just as good. The place does feel a little cramped and run down though, but homey at the same time. Service was also great. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place if you're into Middle Eastern and affordable food!
Great food, great service and prices! The best kebab I've had in North America! The portions are huge and there's a lot of variety in the menu You can smell the good aroma of middle eastern food right as you walk through the door
One of the best Lebanese restaurants I have ever been to and I am Lebanese. The wait was a little over an hour, but it was worth every minute. The service was “slow” but you have to keep in mind that every single thing they serve is made to order. From the garlic, to the tea to the bread everything was made fresh right in front of you in there open kitchen. We ordered: spicy tomato flatbread, half cheese half zataar flatbread, large Fatoush salad, and two orders of the chicken and rice. Every single time we ordered was delicious! The fatoush had pomegranatent molasses in it which was surprisingly delicious. I can honestly say it was one of the best salads I have ever had. Nothing is too over done or over flavoured. It’s a fusion of fresh and simple ingredients.
A cozy space with a plate full of food! Veg options available, & service was great. It can fill up quick! On a hot day they open the front windows that gives a sense of a veranda.
A wonderful hole in a wall restaurant hidden away unassumingly in the heart of New West. The Lebanese food served here is delicious, extremely fresh, and appears to be as authentic as you can get for our area. The atmosphere is very much like you stepped into someone's house and were served good. The staff were excellent and always on top of things despite being swamped. The free bread, salad, and dips (totally incredible by the way) were a great surprise. We left with tons of leftovers as there was so much good food to indulge. Definitely recommended.
Really tasty food! Good flavour and good portions. I got the rice with meat patty and chicken. It's nice you can order things half and half so you can try more things.
Good service, tasty food. Would definitely come again.
Fantastic flavors and generous portions. Everything here looks healthy (even the flat breads) and fresh. 4.5 stars only because service gets slow sometimes.
One of the best restaurants available in lower mainland! Amazing food and flavors. ... May it be the cauliflower or the flat breads ... fattoush is as the fattoush in Beirut .... whenever we have visitors we always take them to wild thyme as they are always impressed and having a meal here is a highlight in their visit.
One of my favourite restaurants in New West. SO DELICIOUS! This place is such a gem. I'm obsessed with their fattoush salad. If I could eat it everyday I'd be so happy. Portion sizes are massive and the kafta is my fave meal so far. This place is special, and well worth the lineup!
Terrible! Do not order the cauliflower bake dish. You get a small side plate with a little cauliflower but mostly tahini and a small bowl of rice and it is 19.95. My friends ordered a similar dish but with meat and it came in a big frying pan and they split it because there was so much and it cost a dollar less. So if you are vegetarian stay away unless you want to pay 20.00 dollars for a few small pieces of cauliflower. I was truly shocked when they brought me my meal. I thought it was the side dish or side salad!! Terrible!
Great food and ambience in their outside courtyard. They were busy and the staff were definitely working very hard. Will definitely visit for the fresh ingredients and unique taste.

Every time I’ve been here the food is fresh, healthy and very delicious. The genuine people who serve and make the food are another reason I like to visit. One of the gems in New West!
