REVIEWS OF Patsara Thai IN New Westminster

Caleb McKenzie

Food and setting seems standard, interesting location with nice decor and a diverse menu. Prices are what you'd expect

Andrew Ablenas

Always great food, that arrives quickly after ordering. Generally about 10 minutes for everything. It's a popular place so a reservation on Friday/Saturday evening is a good idea. The curries are my favourite, especially the red and massamun.

Ethan Custodio (Dopenose)

Great place, unfortunately it's very easy to miss. Food was spectacular and the service was quick and attentive. Even the atmosphere and decor are very well done. Our party of 8 all shared several appetizers and honestly everything was delicious. We will all definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Vince Thai

Great food. Cheap price. Would have given a 5 stars however, the waitress brought a wrong order with chicken... We don't eat chicken.. However they apologized and gave the correct order

Eric Young

Quiet restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and generally prompt. We ordered the green papaya salad, pad see ew and red pumpkin curry. All were good. Also had the bus loi for dessert. All in all, great price for the food... Would go back again!

Chris Roche

Came here for dinner last night. Service was quick, and servers were really nice. The food was delicious, the money bags are a must buy and the portions are large so lots of food for the price. Got the mango sticky rice for dessert definitely the best way to end the meal

Luke L'sk

Recently opening for dine in since the close down due to COVID. Mask required for entry. One of the few (only?) Thai restuarant in the neighborhood of New Westminster. Beautifully decorated interior and large variety of food selection. It has a homepage allowing you to create a profile for quick future order for take out so the information input won't be required for each order. And surely you may call to order as well. My personal favorites are the green curry, pad thai, and the thai milk tea. But certainly other food tastes great too.

K

Really tasty food and friendly staff. This joint is a mom and pop so service can be spotty when it gets busy.

John K

Friendly staff, decent portion. Ordered pad thai, pineapple fried rice, penang curry. All tasted good.

Noah O

Can't say enough good things about this establishment. Very friendly and attentive staff, food is delicious, and a good enough amount of variety to make me want to try it all to find a favourite. Prices are very good for GVA as a whole. Good access from the SkyTrain as parking is usually packed around here. Cant wait to go back!

Nara Yang

Decent food and friendly service. Their appetizers are nicely presented, but more expensive than other Thai places. Soup and main are very tasty and reasonably priced!

Alex Antonio

Love the ambiance and the service. Good affordable prices, enjoyed the pad Thai and green curry :)

T Stefanek

Good food. Horrible service , turned away at 8:40 because they close at 9 pm .wth ???? I live local and was a regular , but I will never return.terrible attitude from the girl.up front and that is more then once now .too bad .I guess they think they don't need the business.

Reinier Erkens

Best Thai in New West !! Great prices , great food ! - Highly recommended.

Anthony Fast

Love this place! Friendly staff and GREAT food. I'm a huge fan of eggplant, and their Eggplant Basil dish is excellent.

Daisy Yuen

The outside doesn't look like much but the food is beautifully flavourful. Portion and value are great. The pineapple rice ingredients work so well together. I'm so impressed. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes. Edit: Have to take a star off for incompetent service. Server charged us for a beer we did not buy. It was not brought to our table until the food arrived. She made mistakes taking my order and I did not eat well until after my dinner companion finished eating.

Josh Chen

A great Thai restaurant. The decorations are stunningly gorgeous. The food is delicious. The service is good and fast. It's busy throughout the whole time we were there, so I would recommend reservations. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back.

Sneh Chand

It's not as great as everyone has been saying on review. We order soup tomyam just a water down soup with mushrooms floating in it. And dinner came my husband only didn't look appealing thai pad traditional with chicken but after asking the server my meal came after 30 mins red chicken curry in coconut milk. It was good . Taste was good. Price right but ok food.

Erik Klett

Really great Thai food at a really good price. The pad thai and green Currey fried rice are great. Finally a Thai place with good spring rolls too.

Doug Walker

Had take out. Very tasty.

Sarah Woods

My fav place for Thai food. I would not recommend take out. Any time we have ordered take it out it seems like we have gotten the scraps of what is remaining in the bowl.

Mai Tam

I made reservation because they I had a delicious pineapple fried rice dish. Tom yum soup is yummy. I haven't tried deserts yet, but they look good. One thing i don't like is the music with drums was noise sometimes.

Andrew Fisher

Looks like a plain restaurant from the outside, but once you go in it's very well designed. The food was also very good and affordable ????????

Nithimas Kirativiboolwong

Lovely room, friendly service and the best yellow curry that I've ever had!

sudapon kayabut

Wow!..This is an amazing Thai food place in town. All the food I had there were delicious. Especially the owner is very warm, kind, and caring for all customers. I would recommend everyone that has a chance should come and try it..????????

Luis Castro (West Coast Wanderer)

Best Thai restaurant in New West and surrounding area. They tend to close a bit earlier than other places but not sure huge deal. Good food and service.

Jason York (Jork21)

Hidden gem! The sign is in the window and isn't lit... Kinda hard to see. Portion size is large for what you pay. Food is quite authentic and delicious!

Kat

Amazing service from Eric, Joffrey and the team! The red duck curry my partner and I had was one of the tastiest curries we've ever eaten. (this was written right after we ate it)

Christopher Walks

Ordered two desserts, very lovely and tasty!

Cheryl Lynn

Good food but small portion

Ron Hatch

Great food, reasonable prices. Great lunch specials. Can be slow with a group. Very nice decor and atmosphere and friendly service.

Simon Cheng

Delicious food, good decor, friendly service.

Brandon Hastings

Good thai food and a lovely resturant layout. Service was nice as well.

Jackson Tran

Nice atmosphere and good food

Krista Maniezzo

This is one of the best Thai place I've been to. Their spring rolls are also to die for!

Kelly Stuart

Customer service is always wonderful/friendly! And the food is so delicious! Having green curry and kuay tiew khua gai for lunch and i'm very happy! Great portion sizes and prices!

X Z

Discovered this place today for lunch and the food was great! In and out in 30 minutes and awesome lunch specials! Will be going back for dinner soon!

David Gipson

Great Thai food.

Chris Burgess

Terrific experience As many have mentioned, you first see this purple cinder-block building in a nondescript area. But when you step inside, the first thing that greets you in the rather wonderful waterfall wall. From there it gets better. I'm veggie and they were more than happy to make a few accommodations for me. The food was plentiful, beautifully prepared - enough that we all passed our dishes around for the others to enjoy. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonably good, but combined with all of the other attributes, this is a winner.

michael chen

Appetizers was surprisingly good, however Thai ice tea was little bland, spicy noodle is not spicy but little sweet, taste are alright, green curry had great flavour.

Raymond Chiang

Staff were polite and the food was good. Pricing was reasonable and they were able to accommodate us sharing the plates--though we would have preferred some bowls for the sharing the soup noodle dish. However, I thought the calamari portion was small and the spring roll was a bit oily. The server also didn't bring us our drinks. We had to remind them mid way through our meal.

Wilson Lin

Had an amazing lunch here. The food is really good and the prices are amazing too (especially the lunch special). The staff are really nice and the decor is beautiful inside! Highly recommend checking this place out.

Meghana Reddy

Our go to for Thai food. Love their pad Thai and all the curries. Service is always welcoming and heart full, ambience is great too! Never disappointed with any of their food!

Fouad Zarifeh

Quaint little place in a nondescript building. You could miss it if you drove by and unless you looked closely at the sign while walking. Once you walk in though it's surprisingly big. The interior is well designed and laid out. Very quick service. Everything is very reasonably priced. Good food options. You should try the duck red curry. It's very good and different than the other red curries. A good option is the share plate. It has pretty much a couple of everything on their appy list. Would go there again. Give it a try.

Emma Moore

Good food, bad delivery - we have been to Patsara on a few occasions and have always been very happy with the food. The Penang curry, lettuce wraps, green papaya salad, and chicken with cashew in particular are favourites. However, we recently ordered through their own delivery service (only offered within 3km of the restaurant, so they don't have far to go) and the food took an hour and a half to get here and arrived so cold that we had to microwave it. Not impressed.

Oscar Chavarria

Fantastic place!! From the outside looks like nothing, in fact its too easy to drive right past it and miss it. However, once inside we get greeted immediately and cordially, once seated our order was taken within a couple of minutes and the food was great. Interior decor is nice and elegant. Highly recommend it!!

Catherine Lopez

It's a great place for a quick, great quality and affordable lunch. I come here on a regular basis for work lunches and they always make sure we are in and back to the office on time! Their service is mediocre though but they do get the job done!

Krainst Lin

I LOVE THAI FOOD

Andrew Lim

Y'know what, I went for lunch at the downtown location earlier this week and it was pretty good. Turns out that they have a location in New West and decided to do take out for dinner. The cost of food on most dishes are 50 cents cheaper compared to downtown and the portions are about the same (lunch menu vs dinner take out). Their portions could be a little bigger and I wish they offered levels to their spice. The green curry was on point with large chunks of chicken. The padthai was good because it's not made with ketchup, but it was a little dry. Staff is very friendly and will have to come back and have a sit down dinner soon!

Anthony Zehr

Awesome Thai food... Just loved my meals.

Marissa Brown

Best thai food I've ever had! A great hidden gem! The pad thai and lettuce cups were particularly amazing. We also had the papaya salad and pineapple fried rice, which were also very good. Service was a touch inattentive and not super personal. Edited to add: Parking is a bit of an issue, and if you didn't know what you were looking for, the building would be hard to find. They could use better signage, particularly at night.

Madeline Hendricks-Clark-LaJoie

Ordered to-go and there was no cutlery or condiments and I didn’t realize it until I got to work. This wouldn’t normally be 2 star review but the food was very bland and definitely in need of any condiment.

Rnold Smith

Dinner @Pasara Thai New West Street parking Casual Thai food Food good Service good 6 of us and we had 3 orders of Shrimp???? cakes (yes, it’s that good!) Papaya salad-refreshing Pad Thai-good (noting compares to what we had in Thailand though) Massaman Curry Lamb, Beef, Chicken- Kinda disappointed. They used to be really good but this time was too sweet. The beef was tough and chewy. Lamb had a weird texture that my friends said. Eggplant Basil beef-tasty Roti-very oily Tom Yum Gong-not bad Service was good, food came out fast. Just wished that they are as good and consistent as they once were.

Wren Handman

Ordered mild and it was almost inedibly spicy, but also not very tasty other than the spice. I had to drench it in soy sauce to eat it.

G Drummer

Usually much better. What’s going on there? Watery green curry with under cooked eggplant, no sign of coconut milk in it. V-Pad see ew had no egg and boring flavour. Greasy roti. The fish was the only good thing ordered.

Robert Trzcinski

The food here is delicious! The service is a little slow but still an enjoyable experience.

John Roden

Awesome Thai food. I've generally had great experiences here. Almost every dish I've ordered has been delicious. Prices are very reasonable also.

Barton Chan

Patsara Thai has decent food, great atmosphere, and great staff. We like most of the food except for their tom yum. You could definitely taste the msg in it. Tastes great but you'll be thirsty afterwards. The price is decent. So it's definitely worth a try!

Kiky Kiks

Nice little thai restaurant. Wish they had more items on the menu, but food is great, price normal thai restaurant price (appies are a bit overpriced). Servers were very nice and food came out fast. Restaurant got busy fast.

Tencia Wong

Pleasant service, and I nice Thai decor. Food was good, but just typical dishes.

Sean L.

Delicious and authentic Thai food! Particularly northern Thai dishes and at reasonable prices

Gurpreet Singh

Awesome Thai food.their Drunkun noodles, Pad pak, and chicken cashew nuts were amazing.

Cathy Warriner

We were in New Westminster from out of town and were looking somewhere for a vegetarian dinner, seen this place on google and it had a few options for us, so we went. There were 3 of us and we were all very satisfied with the meal! Highly recommend it.

Luke Y

Came here on a whim and as I was in the area and craving some Thai food. I did not expect too much and was just hoping for the food to be average but boy was I wrong!! I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken ($13.13 w tax) to go. The takeout box was hefty and when I opened the lid, the smell of the aromatic flavors hit me. The noodles very insanely delicious as the consistency was bang on; nice and chewy but not elastic-y nor too mushy. There was a good chunk of vegetables and protein. The broccoli and cabbage were extremely flavorful and offered a nice soft crunch. The chicken were all pretty tender and not dry or overcooked. Everything worked very well with the sauce and the dish was not overly seasoned or oily. I will be back for more takeout in the near future! My friend who ordered with me got the drunken noodles and spoke very highly of it.

A M

Best Thai food Ive ever had. coconut rice, pad thai and red curry are bomb !! great lunch special also :)

Sammy

Great lunch deal. Healthy portions very tasty. Great friendly service.

Cici Chen

Nicely decorated inside with fair price. Flavor is a bit americanized thai but tastes pretty good. Reservations recommended for busy times.

Aaron T

In terms of food and service this unassuming restaurant has great thai offerings. I went with a group and I tried the tom yum, tom yum friend rice, green red and massaman curry. They were not that spicy but exceptionally flavorful, really quite excellent food and some of the best thai i have had. The decor is fabulous, very clean and modern but unassuming from the outside. Unfortunately the portion sizes are not great, I found a lacking of rice to be a big problem but this is a common theme among most asian restaurants. The prices were also pretty steep, but considering the quality I would pay them if only I got a little more food. Highly recommended if you want to treat someone, because boy will they receive a treat.

Yang Niu

Best Thai in Vancouver. Try the tom yum rice. We were blown away by the quality and the service.

Amit Singh

Best Thai restaurant i have had everything we oder was very delicious the staff were very friendly to

Smith P

Patsara Thai is an off beat restaurant which emphasises on eating healthy Thai meal. The restaurant has numerous options on their menu for both vegetarians as well as vegetarians. Few of the food items include following must try dishes, 1. Spring Roll 2. Papaya salad 3. Stir fry Pad Pak (I liked it with steamed rice) The taste is superb. And most of all, the presentation is very catchy. The vegetarian food options are very limited though. The beverages have multiple options in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They follow hygiene and clean the tables. The staff is cooperative and quick in service. The AC sitting arrangement is available with comfortable sitting arrangement. The restaurant accept Card and Cash both. Overall, a must try place if you love eating healthy ????????????????????????

Elise Weatherby

We ordered on dinedash so can't fault them for our food arriving totally cold. The chared egg plant was tender with a proper char flavor(most places just deep fry this dish) chicken skewers nice quality and seasoning but the satay sauce had separated by the time it got to our house. Deep fried tofu was standard issue nothing exciting there. Green papaya salad was more like a pickle condiment lots of acid very tart and almost surprisingly spicy fine with us we like our food hot but in contract to all the other dishes be so not spicy it seemed out of place. Vegetarian Pad Thai was American style pan fried noodles with American vegetable selection carrots celery mushrooms green cabbage (not Asian cabbage or Sue choy) I appreciate they did not add ketsup or red dye to the pad Thai but this dish which should be a Thai restaurant's signature was kind of bland it needed more tamarind the eggs were not sliced in ribbons either they were just scrambled in with the noodles. Overall pretty good food but for me 4 ????'s due to the pad Thai.

Rosie F

The most authentic Thai restaurant Ive ever been to, not just in new Westminster but in all of the metrovancouver area and lowermainland. I say this as a Thai person. The staff speaks Thai to each other, their English is also very good. The food reminds me of my mother's cooking when I was a child and she's even given it her seal of approval. I hope they do delivery soon, or skipthedishes or something because when they do, I'd be ordering it daily!

Dan Zimmer

Thank you Google! A search for restaurants in New Westminster led us to Patsara. I drive through New West all the time but doubt I'd ever have stumbled across this place without Google's assistance. It's in a low, unassuming, eggplant coloured building on a side street, without any external signage. There is an unilluminated sign on the other side of the window, and it's really easy to miss. Worth looking for though! The prices, decor, service and food were all very good. The two of us shared the pad thai, green curry with chicken, and the pad prig khing gai. Great colour and great flavour in all three, and generous portions on the latter two. We'll be going again! A decent amount of street parking in the immediate area, and a parkade just down the street. Reservations accepted.

barkat ullah

Amazing food. The best Thai I've ever had.

Shirley

Really nice ambience, there's even a waterfall. They also have really comfy chairs if you're not in a booth. 10 options to choose from for lunch specials. Very tasty and full of flavour. They can quite busy for lunch so if you're here with a large group, definitely make a reservation. Portions are large, especially for the price.

Tyler Hamilton

Had this place recommended by word of mouth. Was completely blown away by the quality of food, prices and courteous staff! When you walk by it doesn't look like much. In fact it's very easy to miss with almost no signage or hints it's a restaurant. But once inside the atmosphere is gorgeous with a large wall fountain, statues, modern and clean environment. The staff are extremely polite, my water was refilled probably 10 times! The food was the best Thai food I have had in Vancouver so far with unbeatable prices. Would recommend to everyone!

Lisa Matsugu

I had the seafood and lamb curry and it was delicious! Will come again and take advantage of the free delivery after 5pm next time! Highly recommend.

Simon Tang

Great Atmosphere! Food was VERY tasty! Perfect Spice (Heat) Level! Friendly Service!

M K

Food was ok. Worst service ever! The tall male server was so rude. I couldn’t believe it. I won’t go back

David Longpre

So good! I really was expecting mediocre but it was really really good. Lots of flavour i was really impressed! I will be going back for sure and the price was great!

Brad Olson

Had the massaman curry chicken and padsiew beef. The chicken was okay however the beef dish was very oily, in fact, that’s pretty much all you tasted. I would say the food is average at best.

Valerie Anne

Delicious, authentic Thai food. Non-descript exterior. Best food in New Westminster.

Sodaba Dabadoo

I've been here 3 times now so I feel like I've given them a fair chance to show case their food. I LOVE their tom yum soup with prawn. However, everything else I've ordered I've been disappointed in. The pad thai was overcooked and not as flavourful as other places I've tried, but edible. My main issue with this place is the quality of the chicken. I feel like if Gordon Ramsay was to go into the back, he would find a months worth of chicken rotting in a container. Thats what their chicken tastes like, old disgusting rotting meat. The last time I went, I couldn't even finish my cashew chicken because the meat was so foul. My boyfriend who literally will eat anything even said it tasted off. Will I come back, yes, when in the mood for tom yum soup only. But you've been warned about the chicken.

Neil Esmilio

Food was great. Service was a little spotty at first but it turned around. All and all good spot

Michael Chan

Food is very good and authentically Thai. Very good value. Staff are very nice. Would definitely come again. Pad thai and their curry noodles are great!

Karthikeyan A

Nice ambient and delicious food. Staff is very friendly. Be sure to try yellow Curry if you are into Thai curries. If you are a big group try to call them ahead and book table, so that you don't have to wait.

Andrew Chan

Wonderful Pad Thai even take out

Cp Jat

Amazing food. Very authentic

Kenny Dietrich

My girlfriend and I have found our favourite Thai restaurant. We have been back several times. Great service, delicious food and reasonable pricing. Try Patsara today!

Tim Ubial

Bullet points: * Got takeout * Tasty food * Had to wait longer than expected * Would visit again I ordered take out from Patsara. While waiting a little longer than expected for my food, I sat in the restaurant. It was thoughtfully decorated on the inside and had a nice atmosphere about it. We got home to sit down to enjoy the meal. We ordered pad thai, the red curry with chicken and the eggplant, basil, with beef. The curry comes with a side of rice enough for two people. The food was very flavourful. The curry had just enough kick to satisfy your palate, but not too much that you couldn't handle the third or fourth bite. The eggplant was our favourite dish: sweet notes, with the cool aromatic basil. The pad thai was pretty standard with nothing too memorable to note. The good food is enough to entice me to visit again. The next time, I'd like to try enjoying a meal inside their dining room. If you're in the area, it's worth a try.

Subha R

Drunken noodles was super highly flavored with basil to a level we couldn't taste anything but basil. But their pineapple fried rice was good. The portions are relatively smaller than other places.

T. K.

Tried for the first time—tamarind fish was ok but the sauce lacked much dept beyond the tangy sweetness. Beef eggplant also ok, had more flavour than the fish, others were fine. Nothing special. I’m not sure I would come back.

Blayne D

Still not open for dine in at time of writing review which is unfortunate. The food here is delicious though and good portions. Lots of great dishes to pick from. They are also quite fast even when busy.

Diana Duan

Great food, had their pad Thai, Curry, crab ragoon and Thai milk tea, small and cozy place. Friendly service. Hidden gem of new west

Whitney Bee

We were craving Thai last night but didn’t feel like driving into East Vancouver to our usual spot so we decided to try out Patsara. The interior and ambience inside the restaurant was very nice however it lacked substance in terms of service and food quality. The two waitresses were pretty much pre-occupied with takeout orders and food couriers coming in/out. There really wasn’t much for service other than providing us with water in the beginning and taking our order (we attempted to flag them down many times so that we could order). The Pad Thai was very slimy in texture and the prawns didn’t taste very fresh, also very slimy as if it was undercooked or gone past it’s due date. Our other dish was a pool of highlighter yellow oil at the bottom. I think we’ll skip out on Patsara next time when we are craving Thai food...

Margaret Dang

My friends and I have been regulars here since they opened up. The food, ambiance and service were great. Up until about 2 months ago, that is. The food isn't quite as flavorful anymore. I've tried going twice more since then but left disappointed each time. Some dishes are bland while others are now overly sour. Either the chefs or management have changed? Service is still great but the food isn't that tasty anymore.

What I think

Good food nice environment. Nice waiters. Crave Thai food then come here

John Gibeau

Excellent food and prices. Great service. They open Sunday at 5 pm. My wife and I were the first table. Within 30 minutes, the place was full with a few people waiting. Phone never stopped ringing. A testament to a superb restaurant.

James Kaiser

Amazing food! Not well advertised but that's what makes it awesome. Our appetizer came after our main but it was still delicious! Will definitely return!

Brenna S

I'm not a big fan of Thai food but this place was recommended for me. I took my husband and he had the pineapple fried rice and I had the pad see ew beef. Both were delicious! Atmosphere was appropriate and the staff were very friendly.

Adam P

Without a doubt the best thai food in New West, it could even rival some Vancouver locations. Service was excellent and food came out fast and hot. Don't forget to order the Thai iced tea, a must have when at Patsara.

Tom A

The food itself, I would rate at 4 stars. It was quite tasty although I asked for spicy hot and it was very mild, not even Medi hot. The service was very average, not unfriendly, but not very friendly either. The place and decor is ok but feels old, dirty carpet and booth benches that move. Probably not coming back.

Rachel Ilan

My go to place in New West. Great fresh tasty food. Fantastic Roti!!!

Matt Killick

A great addition to New West. Highly recommend trying Patsara out. Yes the Pad Thai is great, but so are many of their other dishes!

Janet Matthew

I have dined here in the past and would definately rate the ambiance and cuisine a 5 out of 5. But last night I ordered the Panang Chicken, as usual, and the curry tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. Please fix this, as this might have been a one off, I would like to remain a faithful customer.

Sterling Hoeree

Always delicious Thai food, and super reasonably priced. Whenever I go, I go with friends and share a few dishes, which brings a lot of variety to the meal! I've traveled Thailand before and feel like the food is really authentic as well. Besides the delicious Pad Thai and curries, definitely try the authentic green papaya salad and the mango sticky rice desert (if it is in season); these are classic but less well known Thai dishes.

Carlos Lau

They serve authentic Thai food. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food.

Cris Mihailescu

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the chicken curry noodle dish. The service was professional and very quick, and the price is very reasonable for the experience. It wasn't loud and was very cozy, and it was an overall great experience. Would definitely come again!

Greg Domville

Super yummy Thai. Like super yummy. Great selection of the classics. One star lost as no delivery option. In today's world of so many delivery options it's odd to see none. Also portions on the smaller side. Not small just smaller

Nikki Manthey

Delicious, flavourful food, excellent service, and beautiful restaurant. And all of this for a price I'd consider to be very reasonable. Will definitely go back again and again.

katieisplenty

Never disappointed in this place. It's clean and simple in decor, the service is lovely every time, and the food has a robust moan of delight:mouthful ratio. Only thing I would ask is that they have a plain or marinated tofu option instead of fried. One of our top Thai choices in the area!

Aaron Tsang

I thought the food here was good. The Tom yum soup probably my favorite. However the fried foods were not done well. Just order the sauteed items because they are more flavorful and can't get overcooked. There was a very friendly male staff at the front that had a great smile. The other staff didn't really acted like they enjoy working here though. I especially was annoyed when we arrived for my mom's birthday, and when we wanted to sit at a different table to accommodate our party better the guy have a disgusted face as if he didn't understand my mom's accent (she's Chinese). Throughout the dinner this server acted entitled and wasn't very respectful. This is not the first occurence and I left this review after several times at this restaurant. I will come here for the convenience and Tom Yum but honestly have better options available elsewhere.

Matthew

Ambience is great. Food is nice and is priced fairly. I would definitely return here for another meal. Would give 5 stars if it had better drink and dessert options.

Meik Pleskot

This place is a hidden gem in New Westminster. I have lived here for 2 years and just went here to be pleasantly surprised. It's amazing thai food for an affordable price and great ambience. Don't skip out on this place if you're contemplating a good meal :)

George Ziegler

Very good Thai cuisine. Great ambience too. Hidden gem.

Tessa N

literally my favorite Thai place. great menu, great service, and reasonably priced. what else could you ask for? ????

Isaac Leung

Portion is getting smaller since soft opening. We gave it multiple chances, but it just keep getting smaller and smaller while prices are climbing high. Attached is a "half chicken". Asian chicks ARE smaller, but this is not even half breast.

Karin

This place looks so much better inside than what it looks like from the outside. It is beautifully decorated and is very spacious and cosy. Food was flavorful, good portioned and well priced but what stood out to me the most was the service. We had a young waiter who was super friendly but not the overly annoying type. He wants attentive to our needs and we had a great chat about the neighborhood.

Dana Hu

The service was amazing so kind and helpful! They had plenty of vegan options which was great for us and the food was good!

A. L.

Their pad Thai is very flavorful. Also recommend the red curry and the chicken wing appetizer! Yummy

Steve Price

Went for a birthday meal, wanted to love the place a lot more. It's a great place, enjoyable ambiance, with a great price point for food. We must have made poor menu choices, the satay starter was forgettable (awful gloopy peanut sauce), the red curry as well as the coconut rice were so unbearably sweet that I couldn't eat all of it although it otherwise tasted really, really nice. Service was surprisingly slow for a mostly empty venue. Gonna give this place another go at some point but it really wouldn't take much for this restaurant to reel in 4 and 5 star reviews only. A little sad that it doesn't yet.

Nick Fulton

It was the best spot for Thai food for years the flavors were amazing. Then something happened and the food is flavorless and gross.

Harold Hung

Good food at a good price. Great i door decore. I little hard to see from the road as only sign is in the window. Friedly and quick staff.

Nicole Neff

Wow! The kitchen is so clean you can eat off the floors! The food was spectacular! The Thai beef salad had great heat! I would order it everyday! The money bag pockets were sensational as well as the massamun chicken curry. We are from the island so this was a real treat! Expand to Nanaimo! The only Thai restaurant (orchid Thai) is selling and the community is growing leaps and bounds!

J Ray

Service 4/5 Ambience 5/5 Food 4/5 Value 5/5 Nice quiet setting. Waiter was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Food was above average Thai and well priced.

Estephanie SV

Great quality, authentic Thai food! Patsara is a local gem! They have such delicious, flavourful and inexpensive food. Also, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and their ambiance is beautiful. Great restaurant find overall! We ordered a little bit of everything to share and none of the dish disappointed! APPIES: Isan thai sausage and special appetizers MAIN: Pad thai; Kapao fried rice; Roasted red duck in red curry; and Massamun beef curry DESSERT: Sweet sticky rice with durian We really enjoyed the lemongrass flavours in the Isan Thai sausage and slightly spicy kick of the rich Massamun beef curry. The duck curry was also delicious and moist. We loved the durian dessert too. If you’re new to thai food, definitely start off with their wonderful Pad Thai (Generous portion! Can feed 3 people!) Patsara’s selection of meals definitely has a little bit of everything to cater to anyone. We already can’t wait to try more of their menu!

Gerard Pietrykiewicz

This is a nice addition to New Westminster. Place looks classy inside and has very good service. My two favorite dishes are red curry and fried pineapple rise with chicken.both really tasty.portionsa are huge and prices are well balanced. I like this place a lot. My highest recommendation.

Doug Hallett

Very good. Had the appetizer platter, Tom Yum soup, green curry with chicken, and Pad Thai. All delicious. Inexpensive too! Will be back for sure.

Caitlin Erickson

Super nice customer service. And for delivery parts of the containers are compost-able. Will be the only place I will be eating Thai from now on.

CJ Kowalski

This place is my new favorite thai place in New West (and there are at least 4 others I really like). The service is great. The food is fantastic and flavorful. And the prices are very reasonable. The interior design is really nice. I hope more people find out about this place and spread the word because I'd love to see it stick around. My only criticism is that it is kind of hidden and doesn't have a very good sign on the outside to attract people.

Denil George

Not as great as the Downtown one that had to close down. Don't know if I went on a bad day, but it wasn't remotely as good as the quality of food the downtown location had

Inward to Ithaka

So far this is my fave in New west! It is great prices and great food. The only thing I find is I have to ask for hot on everything since the spice is pretty mild there so just an FYI if you are a spice lover.

YUKIKO MEYERHOFF

Beautiful ambient, delicious food, professional service and pretty reasonable prices

Stephanie McCullough

Server was nice and explained the menu well. We both had variations on pad Thai and it was tasty. An option for a larger serving size would be appreciated.

Robin Sukorokoff

Make a reservation! It was possible on line & worth it. We tried three different dishes, the staff were very helpful in making selection, recommended curried pumpkin was a hit, the two pepper ????️????️ hot Kapao (sp?) Was my favorite. The standard padthai was not conventional, & although good, was a flavour I wasn't ready for. Overall, they are busy for a reason, good to great food, at reasonable prices!

Angela

I absolutely love Thai food, so I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time now & I finally got the chance. It's a very unassuming easily missed restaurant, so it's surprising that it's as busy as it is. Once inside the decor however is stunning. They did an amazing job. The service is friendly. The food was good, but unfortunately it did not blow me away. All the dishes we had were tasty with a nice bit of heat, but I definitely have had better Thai food elsewhere. I did get to try two dishes I haven't had anywhere else & both were decent , but I don't think I would order them again. Overall I love the decor & ambiance of this place, but as it comes to the food, I think I'll stick to my go to Thai places.

Myles Omand

Had Red Curry. Had 1 pepper. St ill not hot enough for me.

Theodore Jackson

Great food and ambiance. The interior decor is beautiful amd a pleasure to the senses.

Backpacking Tony

Tasty dishes, reasonably priced and great service. You really can't go wrong when looking for authentic Thai food!

Valerie Yuen

Wow!! I’ve been wanting to come here for over a year but didn’t get the chance. Last night I went with my boyfriend and we were blown away! We ordered the pad Thai and steamed seafood curry(hor mok) and they were both tasty. The hor mok is a mustttt try !!! It’s so delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes !

Jade Fawkes

I love this place! I order to go but the restaurant is really pretty so I keep meaning to eat in. The food is yummy and so fresh. The coconut rice is amazing. All the curries are super flavourful and have big chunks of eggplant ???? Try the salad rolls with the marinated beef. It comes with a mint sauce that is freaking deelish! The only reason I took a star away is because I have gotten a few orders of the Pad Thai that were dry and a little flavourless. I have had it good too so I keep going for it and hope for the best. Still I highly recommend checking this place out

Jens Vent-Schmidt

Best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. I love their selection and that they offer lamb curry. My personal favorite is the Seafood Tom Tum. Their prices seem higher compared to other places but their portions are huge.

Kuen Tong

Showed up around 6pm they place was at 80% capacity? (Rough guess). Took them 10 minutes before they noticed us, menu and waters were quick to show up. But.... After ordering our food it TOOK 45 MINUTES for the first plate to show up. All and all our dinner lasted us 2 hours. Will have to rethink if I want to go back ever again.

Jane Ingram

Tasty Thai food. Servers are friendly but could be slightly more attentive. Love the Thom Ka Soup and the spring rolls were some of the best I've had for a while. Can't wait to go back for more!

Elise Duncan

Delicious food, lovely space and amazing service. We had the eggplant and the pad Thai, and will definitely be back to work our way through the menu.

Daniel Szilagyi

Best chicken pad thai i've ever had! and it was take out. Going to be back tmr and try more.

Charly Yu

Authentic Thai Food Restaurant. Perfect for 2-4 people's gathering with share dishes. Service was also great. (Thanks Caroline!) My favorite is deep fried shrimp cake. Tasted great with dipping plum sauce. For the main dishes, we had red curry chicken and talay pad phong karee (curry seafood). There were nothing to criticize. The only draw back might be got me eaten a lot of steam rice as they were great combinations.

B F

Patsara Thai has amazing food, great ambiance and is very fairly priced. Will certainly be back.

Maren Precious

Small place to have quick thai food...they have lunch specials..that are pretty good and delicious...

Megan Le

Their pad thai was very delicious!

Peter Walker

The Pad Thai is the meal I use to judge which Thai restaurants are the best, the yardstick if you want. The Pad Thai had a nice presentation and noodles were just right. On the downside it was too sweet and I was given a non spicy version by default because of my looks. They did bring sirracha sauce when asked but it should have been asked at the beginning. Overall decent

Rahul Banerjee

Patsara Thai is one of the not so hidden gems in New West which serves quality Thai food. The place is popular enough to need a reservation on the weekends, the staff is mostly alright and the food is great.

Saleem Barnard

Cheap lunch combos, great food. Gets busy in the evening and they close early. Not open on Sunday. The level of spice can be inconsistent. Very unassuming from the outside.

Paul Evered

Decent food but so hard to find!! Just a non descript purple building with a hard to see sign in the window. Improve your signage!!!

Ember N

Good and tasty food! But not much parking around so best to plan where to park. Also it doesn't look like a restaurant and they don't have a sign outside that jumps out on you. Inside was really amazing! Lots of culture on the walls and decorations. I will be coming back here again even it's a bit expensive.

B Whittaker

????????Casual, cozy, good dish variety- vegetarian too; prompt service, very rea$onable. ????????Street parking- not their fault, but is part of the dinning experience.

Kyle Historillo

Food was delicious. Recommend the Pad See Ew and the Pineapple Fried Rice. However, service was quite slow (due to a busy Mother's Day rush) and we had to flag a server multiple times just for water. Overall, a pretty good place for a Thai dinner.

Shawna DC

Fantastic service, delicious food and excellent value! It's family owned and operated, the closest you're going to get to authentic Thai food in the lower mainland.

Anita Patel

Delicious food. Friendly staff and lovely environment.

Chloe “Save The Victory Roll” Demure

My favorite Thai Restaurant and the fact that it is down the street from my house is even better. Than gals are always friendly when we are there. We try to go as often as possible. Food is tasty, the portion size is awesome. Planning my birthday there this month! The Pad Thai....mmmm yummy.

Doodle

Absolutely my favorite little hole in the wall. We were a little pensive considering what the building looks like from the outside, but the inside is a complete different story. Amazing food, great service, good decor

Aaron Chan

So delicious. Got take out during the pandemic. I'd like to come back when the quarantine is over. Red duck curry and green curry was nicely spiced as I can't take too much heat. The drunken noodles were a little bit more spicy but all the flavours came together beautifully.

Parking Extra

Amazing food, but I hope the service was just as amazing.

Aurélie Tzeuton

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. It us a surprising find in an nondescript building but worth seeking out.

Gordon Sjodin

Food is excellent. Great place to eat.

Christian Hombrebueno

It may have been because I had higher expectations, but overall decent experience. Atmosphere and service wise was great, a little of a wait but it was Saturday evening. The Panang curry was warm, not hot, and overall lacking a deep flavour that I wished. Spring rolls were delicious, as well as the thai iced tea was refreshing.

mark lebedoff

Fantastic food. Delicious. The flavors are authentic and the portions are good. I think thee best Thai restaurant in the entire lower mainland.

Sergiu Pacurar

Great food and atmosphere. Service is quick and staff very friendly. Recommend

David Penny

The food here is to die for! Great portion sizes, amazing flavor! I will definitely eat here again.

Keith Chan

Been here twice for take out, and both times have been really good. Super flavourful. Will definitely be back again!

Juliana Oliveira

Absolutely delicious! From starters to dessert!!! The place is beautiful and cozy. Staff are very nice! For sure coming back to try more of the menu.

Hokin Furry

I love it! The food are delicious and the attendants were attentive!

Erick L

Great food, portions a bit small and pricey.

Drew W E

This place is top notch, try the Roasted Duck in Red Curry. $9.50 served with rice! I keep coming.ing back!

Asmita Chakraborty

We visited this Thai place near Columbia Skytrain Station today. A beautiful eatery with a cosy ambience ; we loved the food and hospitality of this place. Most of the main course dishes were about 13.95$ and had reasonable portion size. I tried the Thai chicken green curry with jasmine rice which had a great aromatic flavour and was very delicious. The Tom yum fried rice with chicken and veggies was also yummy. Overall I found this place to be quite pocket friendly, clean and the food portions were quite large. I will definitely recommend this place for people who enjoy Thai cuisines.

Ashley Leong

Service was good, however the food lacked flavour and the portion sizes were incredibly small. Pre-COVID, I found this place to be flavourful but I think it's gone downhill since.

Rauza Zhenissova

Favourite thai place in vancouver hands down. Staff is so great, you always feel welcomed. Food is cooked fast and taste wonderful.

Gladys Liu

Patsara is one of my favourite restaurants in New West and my go-to place whenever I'm craving Thai food. Everything on the menu is amazing, flavourful, and beautifully presented, and the desserts are unique. The service is also top-notch (a waitress once ran after us for half a block because we forgot to take our leftovers with us)!

Rachel Abercrombie

One of our all time favorites. So miss being able to dine in though.

Jess Gibson

Ate here with friends the last time I was in Canada. I miss it all the time and can't wait to go back the next time I'm up north! Friendly, quick, and delicious at a great price! I haven't had a ton of Thai so the server helped me pick out a dish. Will absolutely come back again.

Neil Rodrigues

I used to be happy with the quality and value offered by Patsara but on the last few occasions I've ordered take out, I've been sorely disappointed. The red curry (with chicken) came with a 1-2 cm layer of oil in it which was off putting (see pics) and the Pad Thai had literally the shavings of chicken you see on top. It's kind of the classic put something good out to build clientele and then drop quality later. Not going back, sadly its one of 2 Thai places in New Westminster.

K S

Great food and great interior deco. The food is very reasonably priced (the mains priced around $10.50 - $13.00) & the ingredients are fresh, and the servers are attentive and friendly. This place is the only one I've been to that serves rice along with the curry.

Marcus Molina

The chicken satay was juicy and full of flavor. The pad see ew, pineapple fried rice and green curry were also really well done. Highly recommend this place!

carpe diem whatsissue

Awesome place. Had pad thai, somtam and red curry It was great. Really really satisfied. Better then other thai restaurants. Must try

Cody

Really good food. Decent serving sizes. Went during lunch, well priced lunch specials

Billy Lam

Read no further. This is perhaps that best Thai food in New West and maybe the best Thai restaurant in BC. I've never had such an amazing experience at a Thai restaurant. Pad se Lew was amazing, their curry was also mind blowing. Seriously my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Jayant Chheda

Good Food, decent prices and very close to the Columbia street station om expo line. Would recommend it for excellent thai food.

Ted Lee

Amazing restaurant with superb service. The service was very fast and prompt and the server was very attentive but not pushy.

M Nguyen

ShawOpen wifi works here Has ample seating space Conveniently located near Columbia skytrain Had the pad Thai, crab Rangoon, Thai iced tea, green curry with chicken, red curry with duck - tastes great

Haydee Iglesias

Bad Smell Alert! This restaurant usually smells like humidity, which after a while your nose tricks you and ignores the bad smell, but the last time that I was there, it was literally like the sewer was opened. I came out nauseous, with my stomach pretty upset. This problem has been going on even before the renovation. It is very bad, because I like this restaurant, the food is quite authentic and savory. I hope they can fix this problem.

Broxton Walker

Pad Thai here is great! Good portions and really fair prices.

Melody Tenshi

I've been here multiple times, food is great, service is good and nice atmosphere. Best thai spot in town

Luciana Fortes

Delicious, cozy, great prices, and the staff is so so friendly! They have daily specials and a 3 course menu ($20/person) and 4 course menu ($40 per 2 two people, so you each pay $20). Lovely place, will definitely return! Great options are the dried shrimp pad thai and the coconut rice.

Amanda D

Definitely the Thai place to order from in New Westminster. Reasonable prices (especially their lunch menu). Food is delicious and has always been warm when we pick it up.

Gurpreet Kooner

Great Thai place - good food and prices. Nice service. Good decor

Adrian L

Very good Thai Food in New Westminster. All the dishes were fresh and tasty. Reasonable prices. Just make sure you get them to read back your order because one dish I ordered was missed.

Jang Sky

Excellent Thai food served here. Good place for family dinner

Kristine LC

Delicious food, but serving size is just small. Also need to be more generous with meat as you will be able to count the meat they put into the dishes.

Nina Caspillo

Wonderful experience! My family booked this place for 8 people for my brother's and husband's joint birthday. Service was great, they even grabbed the birthday celebrants a cake - pad thai was amazing! Atmosphere inside was wonderful with their thai accents. I will definitely come back to this place.

Emily WG

Lesser known Thai restaurant but has been getting more popular due to the price and quality of their food. Try the Duck Curry and Pad Thai here.

Opal Moon

The price is great, and the portions are big. The thai iced tea was 10/10, but veggie spring rolls were a bit bland. Wish the curry was a bit less thick, but the taste was amazing!

Mallick Chaudhry

We went there with a large party of 12 _14 . We ordered alot of different dishes of the menu and everything was delicious. Since we like spice we had asked them to make it spicy and it was the right amount of spice . This place is a gem . Go here !!!!!

Matt Flemming

Delicious food... Spiceciness of food can be customized... order any food, they serve it very fast... yes it is super quick....

Gabriel Leal

The taste of that soup was like a party in my mouth such a great flavour, no spicy. The place is very nicely decorated. Must try

J W

Heard a lot about this place. Everyone seems so blown by it but I would have to disagree. The service and ambiance is great. The food is okay. I wouldn't call it authentic or exceptional. It's a decent place for dinner but I wouldn't rave about it nor be inclined to come here regularly. Though to be fair it is above average/stands out compared to other places in the area.

Sandy Esworthy

The red Thai curry was very good but my pad Thai was a bit oily ans overcooked. Service was incredibly disorganized although everyone was very friendly. I just don't like having to flag someone over for service.

Jony Bravo

The food here is very good! Great portion sizes, and a very good taste! I will definitely visit again.

Nicole H

This is not the best Thai food to begin with and more expensive than other places, but since we live close by we have tried them twice. First time it just wasn't great, portions are small(ish) but when we got take out recently, I actually got sick afterwards. To make matters worse, they added a forced tip on takeout of 15%. I usually tip anyways but seriously, that is MY call to make, not yours. Forcing a $6 on takeout (where there was NO service involved except handing us the food) is just bad business and another reason we won't be going back.

William Wallace

Good food and ambiance, also well priced and good portions

LS

Food is amazing. Very good service. Very good portion size as well.

Ryan Gardner

Oh man, where to begin... Phenomenal food, reminds me of Northern Thai. The staff were very friendly and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend this amazing place!!

Bonnie Leverette

The food here has been amazing. Not as impressed with service, both for in house or pick up. Today I had placed an order for pick up, ended up missing a dish. I called and came back, but it was like they didn't believe me and they hadn't restarted the order yet. They called another customer to see if they had received it in error before they remade my dish- while I was waiting and my other food was getting cold. Though they apologized, they didn't offer to remake the other dish to be fresh and it was getting cold :( they did make us an order of springs rolls though!.I should have checked the bag before I left! I have been for both dinner and lunch and the table service has been okay both times. Food is amazing though, but not a top notch dining experience.

Karen B

Had a last minute group dinner and not only did they accommodate our large group but the food was amazing. Highly recommend

Sasha Acero

One of my favourite restaurants, although I do not recommend their take out. As I now see in other reviews here, their portion sizes are smaller when you order to go even though you are paying the same price, and the dinner prices are not cheap. The manager was kind enough to give me a credit for the total of my order for next time! They said that the cooks weigh the food so that the portions are always the same. This is not true as it is clear to me that the take out portion was about a third smaller. But... I can honestly say this is the best Thai food I have ever had in Canada. Amazing food! Servers are extremely polite and happy! It is always a pleasure to dine in. My favourite dish is the pumpkin curry.

dina karan

Delicous food, solid menu, beautiful decor. Highly recomend. They great lunch options

H H

Love this hidden treasure in New Westminster! Ever since I found out about this place iv been in love! Go to spot for Thai food for sure. The prices are reasonable for the huge potions you get! the interior of the restaurant is so calming and well placed together you can sit there for hours. Would totally recommend this Restaurant!

Mallika Brooks

This place doesn't look like much when you first walk up to it, but definitely don't judge this book by its cover! As soon as you walk in the ambiance and friendliness of the staff more than make up for the humble outside. A mix of traditional and modern Thai music plays in the background with the sound of the running water from their indoor waterfall. The menu is authentic and has a great variety of dishes from all over the country, including a popular street food called Yum Nahm Khao (crispy rice salad) that can't be found in my places in Thailand never mind in Canada! Very impressed by the service and knowledge of the almost fully Thai staff as well. Great dining experience with incredible prices.

Elliott Chalmers

Great tasting affordable Thai food! The Duck Kra Pao is my fave.

Chris Wong

Great service and yummy food. Tom yum soup, panang curry beef, crab cheese roll, and mango dessert tastes amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Eugene Hu

Love food, prices and design, really nice spot for a dinner with friends!

ITT

Friendly staff, all the food a little too sweet. Very nice environment.

Greg Fraser

I was craving a curry and this did the trick, though it could have done with being four times spicier. Maybe that it was my fault, but I found my server not very communicative and awkward when I asked for confirmation on what I had ordered.

Julia

Julian Viacorta vera

Good food, excellent service, looks pretty authentic. My only negative point I would like a little bit more protein in the dishes (pork, chicken, etc) in my opinion the amount should be improved. But in general I recommend this place.

C P

Okay, so felt like having some Thai tonight. And in the past we really enjoyed take out from All Thai’d up and Thai New West but I just happened to look at some reviews and came across Patsara and wow was I impressed looking at the reviews and then checked out the website and then decided to give it a shot! Went to pick up the food and the place looked amazing and well put together, but then as soon as I got back home and tried the food.... uh oh! Green curry with Beef, Red Curry with Chicken, Pad See Ew with some spring rolls! The food was okay, the curries were really sweet. No further comment!

Amber L

Very unclear with the menu lack of vegan/gluten free items. Servers do not understand what "dairy free or gluten free" means. They do not come close to you to order, I had to ask as I did not want to yell across the table. Server assured me where he was, was fine. I had to tell him to please come closer I don't want to yell. Really uncomfortable experience. For the high price, low quality, bad parking and poor service. You are paying for the decor. The decor is aesthetically traditional, wall water fall and gold accents. Excellent for transit or by food commuting.

T V

We ordered the masumen curry, roti, pad Thai, larb salad and coconut rice. The staff were friendly and polite and the food arrived promptly. The portion sizes I found were small and the prices were standard. I have eaten at several Thai places and found that the overall taste of the food was lacking here. The roti was deep fried so much so that it was like eating a greasy chip, the larb salad was okay but lacked the depth of flavours typically found in this dish. The curry, rice and pad thai were all very good. I personally would not return but I do appreciate the experience of having eaten here.

J P

The food is some of the best thai food I've had outside Thailand. Cute space, although I will say the service could be more consistent. It gets really busy so make a reso or be okay with waiting, or you could order takeout.

Lance

Solid Thai offerings - I went to the New West location and tried their "golden bag" appetizer (chicken and shrimp in little dumplings with a sweet chili sauce), spicy beef noodles, and red chicken curry, all of which were quite tasty. The service was also quite prompt and friendly, although it wasn't busy when I was there. I was also fond of the restaurant's interior, which was nicely designed and decorated. There are better Thai spots in Vancouver (Sawasdee on Main and Bangkok City Cafe in Kits are my picks), but for those who live near New West, this is a great option

Hitomi Shimada

Great food and great atmosphere. Their medium spicy for salad was much hotter than the other places I had been to, so I was not aware of that and my mouth needed rest. Lol I had masaman curry. It was super amazing. It was creamy, think, coconutty, and flavorful. It was not spicy and there was plenty in the bowl so we ended up having 2 rice with that :) the establishment looks like an old building, but they do decoration very nicely and the bathroom was sparkling clean!! They had like 3-4 servers and they all served us. We had two excellent servers. The server who took order from us, let us know that the salad we ordered was a bit tricky one that is usually too new taste for many people in Canada and wanted to make sure we were fine with that. I love that "caring" service. And when we were eating the salad we ordered, another server stopped by and said it was from her region and that's what she grew up eating. I love that "friendly, connecting' service. I will definitely come back here many times :)

Jody Mills

Love patsara.. its like a place that just gets better... we came with family and we could all say our dinners were great.. thanks and we will be back soon

Shelby Anderton

Authentic tastes of Thailand that bring me back time and again to that amazing country. The curry is consistently delicious, the prices are amazing and the staff are friendly.

Michelle Bale

Nice selection of dishes. Although, I prefer the curry dishes at Long-tail Kitchen in New West. I would eat here again.

A F

Food was just ok, not great. It was very expensive for the size of the portions too, way over priced.

Linh Le

Really bad food. I just tried pad thai which is so sweet and the pumpkin red curry is very salty. This is one of thai restaurants worst ever i tried. Never come back again

Kristopher Susilo

Food came out a bit too long. Busy dinner time. Food tasted delicious. Will definitely come back.

Kiera Duhamel

Good portions, good dishes, average pricing especially for what you get. Staff have always been friendly and attentive.

Francis Gagnon

Excellent Thai restaurant! Great food and great service combined with reasonable prices! And a great atmosphere!

Dena Wildgrube

Tried this place last night. Glad we did. Food was great. Service was fantastic and it is reasonably priced. Two of us had dinner with appys and some yummy Thai coffee. Bill was only 30 bucks. (And there was enough to take home for lunch)

John Adams

Excellent food for any food lover. Must try for even the pickiest eater. Get there early as is small and quite popular. They seem to do a brisk take out volume as well.

Cheryl Cruz

Probably one of the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. Service was a bit slow but the food was phenomenal.

Justin Keller

The spring rolls are fantastic, lettuce wraps quite nice as for mains the cashew chicken and green curry get good.

Kwinten Theunissen

Food is good to very good but away to expensive. Seating chairs is not confortable but service good. Parking access difficult.

Alan Canada

Took several of my family there in November. They have all been and some have lived in Thailand. We ordered lots of food and everyone was well satisfied. I have been there other times with my Thai wife and she declared it to be very good.

Joanne K

Extremely tasty and healthy food at a reasonable price. I had the eggplant dish with chicken. Loved the sauce.

Jade Chin

Ordered green curry with beef, stir fried egg plant with basil and pork, pad thai with chicken. Overall, fantastic. While we were driving home, they called us to tell us they made a mistake on the curry and gave us chicken instead. Asked us if we want to go back to have it rectified. Sure, since we wanted different types of meat. They apologized and gave us 2 free ice Thai milk tea, WOW. Did not expect that. The Thai milk tea were delicious! The overall dishes were also good. Only thing is, the pork tasted a bit overcook. Overall, would go back again. Great value, and the curry comes with a small tub or rice.

Popo Cutin

Just ordered takeout. Truly the worst Thai food I have ever eaten. Whoever is giving these 4+ star reviews has clearly never had good Thai food. I would give it -5 stars.

Brad

This little place is amazing. I highly recommend the cashew chicken. The prices are great especially during lunch. You can get a full meal for not much more than the cost of fast food. Fresh, fast and super friendly staff! Update: They are no longer open for lunch! ????????‍♂️

Donna To

Food is delicious when you eat inside the restaurant and they have good service. I do not recommend take out though. It doesn’t taste as good and portions seem smaller.

Stephen Cobb

Cassidy Lee

Very good Thai food! I had the green curry with chicken and it was delish, perfect amount of spice. Had the tofu to start and it was a huge portion. Very clean and good service.

Pat Stefiuk

What a gem of a place...Food was so good and so reasonable. First time I have been. My friend has been before and intoduced me the place. Definitely going back. Staff are amazing.

Marco

Atmosphere is good, and the food is delicious. It is a bit pricey, but is worth the money you pay for the food. We had our work Christmas party here, and we got a little bit of everything. I would recommend the curry here, it feels very authentic. This is practically my go to Thai food in new west!

Scott Irvine

Probably the best Thai in New West. The food definitely stood out to me, even though I ordered classics. The staff are really friendly, the interior is nice, and things came out very quickly. I mean, you really need to get down to finding out where your fav Thai place is, and this is a good spot to start.

Allan Bridges

The best Thai place in New West area. Parking is sometimes a pain, but once you get inside it's nicely decorated and staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is good, and has a great selection of Rice, curries and applies. The curry reminded us of ones we had in Thailand. The kapao fried rice, which we had not had before has become a favourite which we order everytime... The right mix between spice and flavour! The price isn't cheap, but it's not expensive either: the quality food is worth it.

Alex Wong

Exceeded my expectations, price was very reasonable for the quality and presentation of the food, and the dining ambiance.

Osvaldo Campos Ruiz

Nice place but food could be better. I've had better pad Thai. Although prices are decent, quality and amounts not up to par with some other nearby Thai places.

Donald

Service

Barbara Webb

I really enjoy going to Patsara for meals. Our server Beanny was awesome! This is just like being in Thailand, we love the Massamum Curry, Pad Thai, lettuce wraps, and spring rolls. The restaurant has a great vibe.

K W

Delicious food and really good sized portions! Ordered for pickup and it was ready on time, and the service for pickup was great.

Jean

Nice ambiance need more lighting outside to identify the business. Tried Thailand's traditional soup and national dish called Pad Kra Poa and it tastes like local Thailand except the big pieces of unions and bell peppers should all be the same size (diced) and not chunks if big chunks of unions and bell peppers are long ? But in just grateful their national dish is good. Soup was off for the Tom Yum Goong Too sweet not enough kaffir line leaves and hardly any galangal and cilantro. Very difficult to match real authentic Thai Tom Yum soup Portions are small for North America standards. Will definitely go back. Surprised they didn't serve young coconut drink?

Terry Norring

Delivery service was quick however I believe the pad thai was the worst my wife and I have ever had. It was very dry and lacked flavor. The chicken cashew had more moisture but didn't have any better flavor.

Bruce C

No more lunch special but food is amazing nonetheless.

yimin yuan

Typical Thai food. Not bad but also not great or memorable.

Lori Pederson

Fresh. Sublime sauces. Fantastic papaya salad (which can be bland elsewhere). Good service. Packed with customers on a Monday night! Tricky parking. Will return very soon.

Nancy Kato

Best Thai food in New West. My favourite is the pumpkin curry with chicken and drunken noodles.

Judy P

Went for lunch with coworkers that recommended and did not disappoint. Great, fast service and very friendly. Delicious food. Will definitely be going back.

K&A B

This place is - at best - adequate. Ok service. Ok food. Unfortunately not as good as it was under previous ownership - but sort of improved since new owners took over. But they refuse to make the food proper Thai spicy, even when it’s requested. Best in Downtown New West - but that’s not high praise. Hope they keep improving.

Food good

This place is low key, last I checked they still don't have an exterior sign. With that being said, their Thai food is some of the best I've had, especially for the price.

Nicely renovated restaurant with very friendly staff. Good deals on their lunch specials. The Eggplant & Beef dish is a must try, and it goes well with Green Curry if you order more than one dish. When you place the order, if you debate between "mild" and "medium " -- I find "mild" is spicy enough for me.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant - I think it may be the best new restaurant in New West. The staff are amazing, the food is great, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. We've both eaten in and had take-out, and both were equally as good. The way they package their take-out is fantastic, as they separate anything that will get soggy - these extra steps really make a big difference. Plus, I've not had leftovers that were equally as good as fresh like I've had from here. Their chicken curry noodle is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I find that I just crave the flavour of it all the time.

Fantastic food. Was with a group of 13 ladies and everyone was impressed with their meal. Everything from appetizers, lunch special to a dinner. Everyone enjoyed their desserts too. Service was very good as well. We plan to come back.

Love their food. Full tasty, beautiful ambience and nice staff. Only suggestion is try to add an kid's option ( not spicy at all ).

Such a disappointing experience especially after reading the reviews. The food flavour wise was sub par and certainly not enough to make up for the pathetic portion size we got. My friend and I ordered the pad see ew, pad kapao duck, shrimp cakes and crab and cream cheese crispy spring roll. The portions were so small that we weren't even full. The pad see ew barely had noodles in it and what noodles there were almost seemed like the little nubs you find in a bag of pasta. The beans in the duck kapao were undercooked and bland and were sitting in a watered down puddle of sauce. The plates together on the table resembled what the leftovers would have looked like at your average restaurant. The only positive I have to say was that our server was quick to fill our glasses of water which makes me feel like they wanted us to get full off that to make up for the lack of food. Overall this place was a waste of my time and money.

Great Food. Decent prices. Courteous staff. Small restaurant with nice ambiance.

Everything seems freshly made, rather than from canned pastes and such. Shrimp wasn't overcooked in the tom yum soup, vegetables weren't mushy in the curry, every ingredient was distinct and tasty. Real spicy flavour, not toned down for western palates. The only quibble was the slightly disorganized kitchen resulted in my wife's dish arriving a while after I already finished mine. The fish cakes were really good with the sauce.

First time eating here and i will come back again. All dishes we order was all great to share. Taste was excellent. A must place to eat if you like Thai food. HELLO

Food and service was top notch! Some of the best roti I've had. A little pricier than others but worth it in my opinion.

Iris R.

Good Thai food but service was very slow, wasn't busy either

Nice little Thai restaurant in New West. Clean and relaxing decor, service was great. The food was tasty, the portion is a bit smaller but the price more than compensates that. Definitely will visit again.

Good ambiance and service but really, really flavourless food.

We really disliked the food. Bought five dishes and threw it all away. I have eaten a lot of Thai food but first time here. We were in new west and wanted Thai food. Went by the ratings. From the pad Thai to the curries, alll really disappointing to us.

They gave us an 85 cent discount on bloody chicken wings. Dishes were also overly salty. Service was bad as well. It was hard to locate a server and they didn't collect our dirty dishes until we asked for the bill. Too bad, we wanted to like this place.

Very flavourful and fresh! So good! I’m gonna need all the negative reviewers to include what other Thai restaurants they’ve gone to that they’re comparing patsara too bc I’d like to know whats that much better?? I order the lettuce wraps, chicken pad thai and cashew chicken. Roti is flavourful but there’s not enough. Great restaurant all around

Lisa Gillis

Great little Thai place that has one of the best pineapple fried rice in town!

I love Thai food now after coming to Patsara. Very delicious food, at a reasonable price.

The food is very good , authentic, and all the flavours are really flavourful but the service is slow and the spice levels are not always the same . I love pad Thai and we always order it hot but sometimes it is a little spicy and sometimes it's mouth burning so it's hard to know when you order . The papaya salad is really good to have because it is really nice and cooling . The good currys are green and red but anything with fruit in it is a little too sweet . Overall nice decor and they have good prices

Patsara Thai was able to accommodate a party of 25 with no problems. They ensured everyone was okay with a possible delay in service due to the party size yet the food was extremely prompt and unsuspecting! Overall the food was good, but I was most pleased by their attention to detail in the party's experience and ensuring it went smoothly for myself and the group. Definitely recommend for any size groups and will also be back myself! Thank you again.

Great restaurant, excellent food, impeccable service. Jack is an attentive and funny dude. Hope to come here more often!

Moses Lo

Blend curry, overly sour pad Thai, hard and cold rice for the mango sticky rice. Wouldn't visit again. Extremely slow service.

Great Ambience and food. We went there for a group gathering and I think the servers were overwhelmed with out group as we had 1 server for almost the 1st 2 hours for a group of about 20. Food came out about 2 hours later, while the service was slow the food was great and the service might be better for smaller groups. Overall a good experience.

(original rating: 2 stars) Patsara has really gone downhill.. We had the green curry a couple months ago and it looked like it was cut with veggie oil. It did not look like curry. I contacted patsara and got zero response. This time we got a small container of fried rice with flecks of meat for our lettuce wrap and no sauce.. Super dry. We will look or another place that doesnt use cheap alternatives for take out.. Edit: Patsara found my original email about my order and was very nice about it! We reordered another meal this weekend and it was how I remember it being when we dined in. Thank you!

Great service. Had the drunken noodles recommended, and they were definitely good. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not exactly a connoisseur, but that was the best Thai food I've ever had.
