Excellent crispy chicken wings
Good Thai food with the benefit of the wonderful seating options in the River Market.
This place is suuuuuch a gem in New West. Everything I've ordered is amazing. Been to Thailand a few times and this place is the most authentic in town. My go to is pad see ew or the yellow curry. Pad Thai is also great. The chicken wings...amazing! The staff are so welcoming and sweet, they know my daughter by name. I am such a huge fan of Longtail. 5/5!!!!
This is my favourite place in New West. It’s consistently good and every time I try a new dish it does not disappoint. If I listed all my favourites it would be the whole menu. My only complaint is that they close at 6pm so I’m never home in time to order on weeknights.
Seriously guys? Delicious Food! Snowy day, afraid my daily special turmeric encrusted chicken cutlet would be hurt by the long walk home...so freaking not! Your thoughtful packaging protected this delicate product, and like always your well balanced flavors never disappoint. Thank you for bringing classy, affordable and incredibly tasty food to the New West Quay.
I absolutely love the pad Thai there! The roti is always the best, too. Had the pleasure to enjoy a nice IPA on their little patio.
Haven't been here in 6 years since it's pretty far from home and work,so by the time I get here they're closed. It's great to see that the flavours are still very spot on! The curries are amazing still and the Thai milk tea is just like that in Bangkok!
Is it just me or are the pad Thai noodles really hard to swallow. But everything else was good
Wings are legit. Mains are good too.
Food was very good, worth the drive and can’t beat that location on the quay.
(Translated) Standard Thai meals (Original) 有水準的泰菜簡餐
It's good, offers some unique Thai dishes! Friendly staff and some good beers on tap. My only minor complaint is that it's a little slow.
The Chinese sausage fried rice is superb
One of my favourite places. Very high quality food, interesting dishes, great location (especially in the summer). Super fresh tasting. This will be one the places I’ll miss if I ever move.
Pad Thai prawn , Pad see ew beef , egg plant are all very delicious and my favorite Thai food And they are very friendly staff ????????????
Very nice, cozy place with great food! Even though it's more "fast food", the quality is excellent. The best place that I've been to at the quay.
My friend and I both ordered at the same time, his meal came after 10 minutes and my Pad Thai took them 40 minutes to make. By the time I had gone up and asked for it, they had to audacity to say they were still making it. Do not ever go to this place if you wish to have your food made in a reasonable amount of time.
Terrific Thai style food with a modern twist. Loved the Deep-fried Brussel Sprouts and special Black Peppered Beef on Rice.
The cost is to high for what you are served (paper boats) the staff dont work or are drunk on the job... flys as soon as you walk in. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here
Tasty food. Loved the pad thai.
The best!
Food is ridiculously delicious! I've been here several times and the hardest part is deciding what to have for lunch. The pad thai is so flavorful with a nice hint of spice and the wings are a must!
The wings are so good here!!
You can enjoy nice view of the river while you waiting super slow staff. Be careful touching does grease table, your hands are gonna stay there. Best thing about small portions is that you don't have to eat that overcooked over spicy food. Worst pad Thai i ever tried.
I LOVE LONGTAIL
The chicken wings were very tasty though a bit pricy for the portion. Six pieces for $8. I also tried the Chinese sausages fried rice. I find it way too greasy. I couldn't finish them at all cos it was poorly done. I went there again last Sat. The wings were still 6 pieces (one small wing plus 5 small drumsticks). I also ordered the coconut curry with tiger prawns ($13.00). There were only 4 small prawns in it. I don't think I will eat it there any more. I asked them if they use MSG on the chicken wings (I was not sure what was the clear sprinkles on them before), I haven't finished my questions yet, they said they don't use MSG, they are not Chinese restaurant. Well, not all Chinese restaurants use MSG either. Anyway, price performance is not good here. This was last try for me at this restaurant.
Location is beautiful, sat on the patio. However the food was average. Rice was dry and not warmed. Paid $42 for all of this, not worth the money. Don’t know if I’d come back - maybe just for the chicken wings (best dish here). Hard to find a good Thai resto in New West
Great food but be sure you like spicy. Pad Thai is amazing. Thai mike tea is a must
The chicken wings are amazing!
The pad Thai was delicious
Very good chicken wings
Delicious Thai food, always a pleasure to visit. Had the pad Thai, green curry and chicken wings.
Great food, only four stars because I'd expect more than 3 prawns when I order "Prawn Pad Thai"
We went as a group of four, each getting something different. Service wasn't the quickest, but it was very busy which was a good sign for us, and we were willing to wait. When the food was ready and served, the aromas of fresh herbs and spices permeated the air, and was wonderful! The portion sizes at first seemed small, but after savouring the flavours, it was enough and I was satisfied with quality rather than quantity. On of the dishes ordered was Pad Thai, a good barometer to test a Thai Restaurant, needless to go into too many details, It was EXCELLENT. Quality outperformed the quantity, but in the end it was enough to be satisfied and wanting to come back for more.
Chicken wings with garlic are outstanding. Tasty cauliflower too ????
This place is awesome! Pretty expensive, but I mean the going rate to be fair since your right on the Waterfront. A sweet casual, comfort and relaxed vibe to chow down on some great grub in the sun. We got the Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว in which the kind and friendly staff were able to accommodate customizing it into a tofu-based veggie option. A plentiful portion of yummy wide rice noodles with a good mound of tofu, egg and veggies and was super yummy. We also got the Roti in peanut sauce to start which was devoured in seconds, wow that stuff is adictive, crazy good!! The menu is focused and specific, specializing in a great selection of delicious Thai cuisine whilst offering both veggie and meat options. I love how this joint uses so much compostable friendly cutlery, eating boxes and bowls as well as cups. Every little change makes a huge positive impact to save our beautiful planet. Khob khun ka ขอบคุณค่ะ !! Support local business!
Great Thai place around. Yet the price might be a bit high, especially considering the greasy little room and the small portion.
Go with the singapore rice noodle, hand pulled roti and fish balls. Pair with a local brew and you have a pretty stellar Saturday afternoon.
Wonderful staff and delicious food! I'm so glad I found my new favourite Thai restaurant. Thanks for the great lunch today Longtail!
Good pad thai and papaya salads
Highly recommend the Singapore fried noodles. A quite authentic Southeast Asian restaurant located inside the River Market food hall, with outdoor patio seats.
Love their Pad see ew beef and their chicken wings!!!
We ordered basil pork and egg with rice, and a green curry tofu. Both dishes were good, and the presentation was good as well. Staff were polite and they came to fill water several times. The food was not cheap though - $16 per dish (for the items we ordered). If you are in the area, this restaurant is worth a try.
Really nice location. Food was nice, will return to try the thai basil chicken.
Good Singapore Noodles! Fresh.
I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I came on a hot sunny day for lunch. The fried cauliflower wasn’t greasy at all. The pad Thai had amazing flavour and perfect heat with juicy shrimp. The chicken wings was perfectly crunchy and seasoned just right. Although it was a lot casual because of the patio seating only it was still enjoyable and delicious.
Singapore noodles andwand roti (my go to order) were exceptionally good today ❤️
Loved the eggplant stir-fry! :)
The menu is limited but what is available is really good. They don't cut corners on ingredients, fresh and authentic. Higher end street style fare. Excellent value. Great beers from local brewery. My favourite place for Thai food in the lower mainland, and I've been to a LOT of them. Not open late, not fancy decor wise, but a great spot to eat by the river with a small outdoor patio on the Quay.
good service great food very small restaurant but cozy a little hard to find unless you are specifically looking for it parking can be a hassle great price if i had to choose 1 dish: chicken wings would i go back? yes
Long wait but it was worth it, loved the fish cakes
Best Thai-SE Asian cuisine in all of Van.. I'd share a photo but I eat the food too quickly, it's that good
Small thai restaurant around the corner. Had the pork belly with gailan and side of wings. Soooo good. They have an outdoor spot during the summer time so you can enjoy the summer heat with their great dishes.
Eggplant stirfry is unreal!!
Did the chef change here? I feel like it used to be better than our recent visit.
My absolute favourite eatery in the place. The flavours are insane and I love the casual eatery vibe with the open tables. You’re insane if you don’t eat here on a trip to the Market.
Love it
Their Chinese sausage fried rice is really good. They brought us the dishes even though we were on the river market tables outside their restaurant.
Longtail offers delicious Thai street food; fun appetizers, try the wings or roti for something new. Great curry and always a rotating dish. Cold beer available in bottle and can. Ask for spice if your to it.
Amazing tofu pad thai and crispy chicken wings! We will be back next weekend and the weekend after that!
Great street food!
Tried their Pad Thai and it's very flavourful!
Longish wait at lunchtime, but great food.
Great little spot on the quay!
Love this place. The owners should consider opening later.
Amazing food! Must try.
This is not a good restaurant at all. I had khao soi here and found it to be very disappointing. The chicken was a leg piece and was very rubbery. The skin was not appetizing. The noodles were undercooked, the soup base did not taste at all good. It didn't have the flavors that a typical khao soi should have. I was completely disgusted with my experience and would not recommend this place. Plus, the price is too high for an item of its ingredients and preparation.
These guys are awesome. Pad Thai and the chicken wings are delicious
Great taste of Thai food & helpful staff only wish they were open later
Authentic Thai street food. Their roti with peanut dip is so crispy and flakey, definitely a must have item. You can even purchase the ingredients they use to make their food here.
Serious hidden gem in new west! So hard to find delicious flavourful south east asian food but this hits the spot in a hawker style atmosphere! Love everything here - highly recommend.
Best pad Thai! Yellow curry is awesome! A must for Thai food!
I love their Singapore tofu noodles and chicken wings!
View is excellent and very delicious food. I recommend you!!
Best curry I have ever had
Best pad thai in New West!
Some of the best wings hands down in all of Vancity! Longtail is the most consistently delicious joint in New West, be it eat in, take out, or delivery. Their staples are all on point, with perfectly balanced pad thais and pad see ew, to flavourful pork bellys and crispy prawn spring rolls. Their roti is also great savoury or sweet with the condensed milk. As a special, their khao soi is easily the best in Vancouver, it really needs to be added to their main menu! You will not be disappointed ordering from Longtail!
Creamy and spicy curry. Fresh pad thai.
It’s a must try in new west. The wings and eggplants are amazing !!
We have a group of coworkers that come to the River Market for lunch on Fridays. I always order from Longtail Kitchen. Their fresh selection of quality foods make it a healthy and quick lunch option. With their M-F lunch deals, you can try everything on their menu! My fave are their deep fried oysters! yumyumyum
I don’t like the food and service it’s just not delicious
Staff have always been helpful. Substitutions are ok depending on the dish. They can make off menu items depending on who is there. Small inside the restaurant. Patio area is nice in the summer.
Topshelf . Where mamma keeps the good Thai food . Way up high.
Not bad to find authentic Pad Thai in New West. Noodles were cooked perfectly, served a great lime (not the dried ones) and uniquely they added dried cabbage蔡寶! Seating is not the best but there’s a seating area in the food court. Will be back!
This is a counter service style restaurant. They have surprisingly good Thai Milk tea in the freezer. They offer curries, noodle dishes and more. The roti is crisp but served in peanut sauce. The pad thai is delicious as is the curry. Service is relatively quick (not quite fast food as they cook to order). They have both internal seating and some outdoor seating provided by the mall. The decor is nothing to right home about but it is clean and provides four tables from small groups to a larger 10 chair long table. Pricing is right for the food provided and they accept all the usual payments. There is free parking in the mall but they are also right across the street from the New West Skytrain station. It is also on a few bus routes.
Tasty basic food.
Great food. Great staff. Chicken wings, pad thai, laksa are all awesome. And if you haven't gone to try the food at Freebird next door, you must! The same Chef runs both locations
its on the pricy side for a foodcourt. good tasting but quite expensive. 8 wings for $17. :(
I feel that the foods are just less tasty than I remember they were...I had some curry with rice, really not that impressed.
I love pad Thai and have eaten it in cities the globe... Until I moved Vancouver and the Pad Thai here always tastes strongly of ketchup, instead of the aromatic flavors I had come to love. I was excited to discover longtail's is not ketchup-y. It was freakin' delicious. Also had the fried roti with peanut sauce (yum) and Singapore noodles. Everything was fantastic!
Good pad see ew
This is my No.1 restaurant for Thai food! I have tried their pai thai and roti with peanut sauce, not to mention the fried chicken wings.... hmmmm so delicious!!
Get the wings. Thank me later
Really great Thai food! Their Pad Thai and Longtail Wings are both fantastic. However, they close incredibly early. I'd order from here much more often if they took food orders past 5:30pm. The only way I can ever get food from here is if I decide to have an early dinner... very strange decision.
Super yummy and good price point. Not a lot of indoor seating and somewhat limited patio seating so go when there’s good weather and be prepared to wait (though we did not have to today)! Tried half the menu (basically) - everything tasted great.
Lunch was excellent.
Their pad thai is good. A little bit sweet to my taste but overall is worth to try. Good view too
Tasty Thai food.
(Translated) This waterview bungee is so good at the food court, but the taste is just delicious. I think I'll go again though. The atmosphere is good. (Original) 푸드코트에서 이런 워터뷰 분희기 너무 좋아요 근데 맛은 그냥 먹을만해요 막 맛있고 그런진 않아요. 그래도 또 갈꺼 같아요. 분위기 가 좋아요.
Excellent food, prob should give five stars, but man, you gotta be insane good to get a fiver out of me...
The chicken wings were really yummy! Would come back for them!! The pad Thai was on the sweet side and noodles were hard.. but Maybe it was just an off day but try the chicken wings ????
I think I tried everything on this menu. Tastes great. However, they don't always have Thai iced tea. If you're like me and order it every time you see it on any menu, I would definitely get it here -- when it is actually ready. I was offered it once when it was still hot with ice in it to cool it down and it wasn't enjoyable.
My favourite place for Thai food. Staff is always friendly and the food is freshly made, the favours are always on point!
(Ordered take out) Their pad Thai was amazing! They also give a good portion of the noodles as well. I find that their Roti was ok but it might’ve been my fault as because it gotten cold, thus it wasn’t as crispy but I’m sure that it was great when it was fresh I recommend the peanut sauce to go with it. The only downside is it is a bit on a pricey side but again they are literally next to the water so I’m sure that was the main reason why it was a bit pricey.
Always great for a lunchtime Thai meal.
Dine in
I wish I had known how delicious this place was sooner. The food was terrific, clean space and excellent service! We will be returning for sure! Thank you!
Try their coconut curry in rice section It is really good. Comes with meat of your choice. Nice little place to eat
Delicious food but a little on the expensive side
The wings are amazing. They go toe-to-toe against the wings at Phnom Pehn and Zabu Chicken.
Update: they seem to have improved the shrimp portions and the taste is consistently good. The curries are always on point. In terms of taste, it's decent but don't expect more than two shrimp in your pad thai and a nibble of roti for full restaurant prices.
Take out
Nice
The wings were delicious! Fresh out of the fryer, nice crispy skin. They're sweet, tangy and they a sugary coating. Not a health conscious choice, but a happy mouth choice. The roti was typical, accompanying peanut sauce very chunky. Eco friendly compostable take out containers ????
Best thai restaurant in the lower mainland! Their pad thai is incredible!
Overly greasy, and a bit pricey for the area
Just amazing. Best staff, just wondetful and friendly and kind!!! wonderful pan asian foods unlike anything I have tasted! I highly recommend! Also the sugar cane juice from thailand is amazing!! Just like real thai sugar cane juice. The best in canada!
Good food but close early. Not really geared to serving the neighbourhood with closing at 6pm every day. Would be great if they could stay open later on Friday and the weekend, like the other food places in the river market.
Always amazing and consistent. There's nothing I haven't liked here so far. I wish it was closer to where I live. Bring back the deep fried oysters <\3
The food was delicious. It is super casual and wifi is available too which is always a plus. I love spicy food and had the glass noodles. I usually have to add a bunch of sriracha to my Thai dishes. This was not necessary for my dish. The level of heat was on point. Loved the flavor explosion! Wife had the curry which she enjoyed. It was fast and easy. Will definitively go back if we are in the area!
Get the Pad See-ew Beef or the Pad Thai. Just get it. High quality ingredients, prepared fresh and flavourful. Do yourself a favour and check this place out.
Great place for a quick bite before a walk around the river. One of our go to places in New West for when we crave chicken wings. The chicken wings are so addictive we had to order 5 orders. Fine balance is achieved with sweet, salty, crispy, and garlic-y whilst maintaining a juicy wing. a must order every time the curry had a lot of spice to it but was very delicious. good selection of beer, and they also have some patio space you can enjoy your brews in (roped off area). fishballs were good, covered with sweet and sour sauce. prices are a little high for the portion size, but the area is trendy.
One of the best Thai food in LML, I love the eggplant ???? and shrimp ???? combination. I will definitely recommend.
My lunch dish was too salty.
Amazing food, the takeout service was super accommodating due to the circumstances and the staff was lovely. Can't wait to come dine in once all this is over.
I’ve eaten here twice over the summer( 2020) and I’ll definitely be back. The food is fantastic and packed with flavour. Honestly, it’s tastiest Thai Food I had for years. It’s awesome! I HIGHLY recommend a visit here...trust me!! ????
Longtail Kitchen has been a staple in my Thai cuisine restaurants for a long time. They pump out wok fresh pad Thai, tantalizing chicken wings (also known as crack wings because they're THAT good) and delish feature dishes (think spot prawns, dungeness crab dishes). The kitchen crew behind the counter are always friendly and pumping out tunes to keep the vibe relax and fun. Would highly recommend the pad Thai, chicken wings, fried cauliflower and fried rice.
Very very busy place. Cracked chicken wings will make you mouth water for more. They have authentic street Maylasian food here. More everyday food. Every bite burst of flavors.
Food is delicious!
Super awesome and friendly staffs!! Also amazingly delicious menus. Tried Roti, stir-fried eggplant, and pad Thai prawn. No wonder why this place is so popular in New West. Will be back for sure!!!!
Love the chicken wings.
Food is fantastic! Very tasty and friendly staff there. Great location. Price is a bit high for the amount you get, but again...the food is fantastic. Good views of the river too!
Neat little restaurant right near the dock. Next to Angelina’s.
We came here with a group of 7 people, ordered a bunch of different dishes to try. Food was fresh and seasoned well, some of us found certain dishes a bit over seasoned but to some it was fine. Personal preference as we prefer more of a low sodium diet. We ordered; Roti and Peanut Sauce: These were delicious, crispy outside, most inside. Super light and airy with a hint of salt, add the peanut sauce and its the perfect combo. Chicken Wings: Light crispy batter with a vinegar soy based dipping sauce. These were tasty with or without the sauce, I personally found it a tad salty once you dip it in the sauce. Holy Basil Chicken: This dish had us a bit confused. This is made with ground chicken, we all expected chicken chunks. Topped with fried basil and rice topped with a sunny side up egg. Flavors were quite mild and did no scream basil to us. When you get the perfect bit of rice, egg yolk, chicken and some crushed chillis, it was a delightful bite. Pad Thai with Prawns: This was a hit, savory noodles, slight tang from the tamarind sauce, heat from the crushed chillis. Over all a well balanced dish. Gai-Lan and Pork Belly: This was too salty and greasy. Gai-lan was slightly overcooked and there was barely any pork belly present. Not everyone was able to try the belly due the minimal amounts.
Tasty food definitely worth the wait, but service could be better.
They use plastic take out containers for piping hot stir fry dishes...@@
Love this place yellow curry with prawns yum
Great food with lots of flavour from the wok (it's a real thing). The roti wasn't something I would order again as it was a bit flat and not so puffy as I like it but would like to have a chance to explore the rest of the menu.
Tasty food nice view of the river.
Good food all around with good service. Have made many orders since it opened and have never been disappointed, good consistency! Also vegetarian friendly, thanks :)
You must get their chicken wings when you go! Their pad see ew beef is delicious. Papaya salad is on the spicier side. Great place to stop when walking the quay
Great food the price is good the staff are friendly. I enjoy my time there. I recommend the shaking beef tenderloin as its one of the best items you can get that isn’t a special at the time. Chef is smart with the menu
Friendly staff, and delicious food. While they don't have a huge menu, what they do serve is very tasty, and fresh. Also, it's a quieter and relaxed restaurant at the Quay.
Another local New West favourite. Their fried rice dishes and their roti dishes are a must-try. Staff are nice and quick to serve you. Great by-the-water option. Pricing is also good.
Service
The best chicken wings in Vancouver
The oysters here were great. The portions were generous and the prices were great. None of this is true any longer - no oysters is a killer for me. What they do serve is tasty and fresh.
Service
My absolute favourite restaurant in the lower mainland, and nothing really even comes close. Puts all other Thai food places to shame.
Decent food
8/10
Street food done quickly and spicy. A little too spicy for me. Flavors done on point however.
Prawn Pad Thai is good as I expected.
Perfect pad see ew… noodles are done just right. I just wish they still had their butter prawns. I moved away for a couple years and when I came back it wasn’t on the menu anymore. They were these prawns fried with kale on a bed of rice. Super crunchy and it was out of this world…please bring it back! :) This will always be my favourite Thai place though. Big fan…
Roti had some great layers to it, and the wings were awesome!
Our favorite Thai place in New West! Always fresh and new menu items, thanks Long Tail!!
Love this restaurant! Have been ordering from here for 7 years and have never been disappointed. Everything is always hot, fresh and amazing Thai flavours. We love the peanut sauce and always get extra, recommend everything on the menu!! Our fave are the roti, pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice...Everything so good!
Real thai food
I work in the market and I often grab food here on my break. It's so addicting... Plus the staff are so welcoming and nice. They can guess my order before I even open my mouth hehe. ❤ love longtail and the team that work here.
Was expecting more but the food was good but forgettable. Service was slow and tables were dirty.
Delicious
Food is good, Chicken wings and papaya salad are good. But overall is quite pricey.
I love her food , its very good ????
Best food in New West, best fried rice in the gvrd. Killer wings, crispy AF, ive taken them to go and after being in a box in a bag for at least a half hour and the skin was still crispy
One of my favorite casual places to eat in the lower mainland. Hidden gem
Great, spicy curry.
Ordered the green curry with prawns and the Chinese fried rice (as a safe play). The curry was amazing. Really really good. Spicy which I love. The fried rice was good. About what I expected. Great place.
The yellow Thai curry is amazing! Very flavourful.
Try the chicken wings. They are so amazing. It has a nice coating and a popping flavor!
Absolutely phenomenal food! Very tasty, good portions for the price. I've ordered from here several times and I've never been disappointed. The pad thai and drunken noodles are some of the best I've had ???????? highly recommend.
This place is the bomb! Love it! Will be back again! I honestly have nothing but praise for all the eateries at the quay!
Excellent food... reasonably priced. A must do!
Cute but small place that is tucked away in the river market. The staff have always been very friendly and seem happy to make suggestions. The food is always very fresh with loads of flavour! I love their fried rice or pasta Thai!
Thus place has excellent and authentic Thai food. Their staff are friendly and service is great! They have a nice patio in the summers and are always crowded during lunch time. I eat lunch there atleast once a week. Their food is spicy and flavourful, and they have a good selection of thai beers. They have a small menu, so as a regular, i wish they would innovate and add more specials!
Delicious !
Really good authentic food.
Love their tofu pad thai! The hours are kind of inconvenient for dinner though so can only really visit on the weekends. Great spot along the quay.
My favorite tofu Pad Thai, the other dishes we have had here are good but it's hard to find a great version of Pad Thai that doesn't taste ketchupy. Beware the portions compared to the other local Thai places are single sized if your eating with someone you'll each need to order your own meal.
Always amazing food. The chicken wings are seriously the best in the lower mainland. Super addictive!! The hand pulled roti is also always killer!! If you haven't gone yet it is a must try!!
This place is INCREDIBLE!
Delicious food! Some of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. A nice alternative Thai food option if you don’t just any curry and rice.
The one star is for Quay restaurants that close before the Sun has gone down. Open later so that you can collect the Adults who have jobs that finish later in the day. I have eaten there before and it was good, but the early closings and their next door neighbour running out of food, that is profit people leaking out of your companies, adjust to the marketplace or wither on the vine and die to be forgotten as just another place that went belly up because they didn't adjust to their customers.
Just like the other Angus An’s places, this place doesn’t disappoint, with delicious food with strong flavours.
Delicious food in eco conscious containers. Cooked right on front of you and ready on just 10 minutes. Had the pad sew ee and hand pulled roti ????
Always friendly, tasty options for noodles and rice dishes. I love their daily curry and singaporean noodles (angel hair vermicelli noodles with taste of curry). It's either Re up BBQ or the Longtail. I recently found out Longtail is affiliated with other asian eateries around Vancouver - one of them being Sen Pad Thai in Granville Island foodcourt. I love that place as well! I hope they keep up good maintenance of these places.
Good food right at the Quay! They don't have too many different dishes but they are all really good! The Pad Si Ew and Pad Thai are both good, as well as their side dishes as well. A little on the expensive side but it's like that with all the places at the Quay.
Some one said this is the place to go for chicken wings. The wings were average. Not as greasy as the hand pulled roti with curry sauce. The roti was so greasy we didn't eat it. Must say the peanut sauce was unique in a good way. Highly recommend.
I had some pad Thai here and it was great, but also my first time having it so I don't have anything to compare it to. My only complaint is that I originally went for the laksa, but they were out of it when I visited.

Fantastic deep fried oysters and chicken wings. Team was friendly and welcoming, awesome experience.
Temporary closed due to renovations (Jan 13, 2019)
Loved the food and the staff
Great place to grab some spicy thai food. We tried a pork and veggie rice dish (pictured, forgot the name) and the kai-lan and pork belly rice dish. It was delicious AND a lot of food for the price. Great service. They let us know we would have to wait about 20 minutes for our food, but the river market nearby has lots of cool shops to look around. There's also the quay to walk. It was really busy, but there's additional seating as part of the food court type area in the river market.
Meal type
I lovr this place some of the best thai food in the lower mainland. Steong authentic flavours and ingredient. The thai fried chicken is to die for. The curry is spicy and yummy. The fish balls are great. Nice friendly people too. Best food at the quaye by far.
I have been living on the key for about six months now and I can say hat long tail is probably one of my favorite places to go to when going for lunch around the key. The food is delicious and taste authentic to the street pad Thai On the streets of Thailand. The wings are fried to perfection. The yellow curry and pad sew are also amazing along side everything else they serve. If interested, they also sell a small selection of groceries.
Love love their food there. It’s definitely one of my favourite small restaurants in BC. The staff are friendly as well.
Great food
Ordered the holy basil chicken today and was disappointed! While the rice and egg were great with good Thai flavors in the chicken - the chicken itself was stinking! Will try other tastes hopefully with fresher meats next time...
In my opinion, this place is low-key so good that not many people know locally! I tried every food that they have on their menu and everything were very good!! This place is located at the corner of food court of New Westminster quay.. they have a nice patio outside too! If you're first time, I would recommend trying their Chinese Sausage Fried Rice and the Longtail Fried Chicken! They are reasonably priced too!! Highly recommended! Note: Photos taken Pre-Covid
Chicken wings were pretty good! Very crispy and tossed with sugar and salt. Nothing else on the menu jumped out at me. I was a bit disappointed how limited the menu was and the service is a bit odd, almost too casual. I like that they have some ingredients for sale, but some things don't have prices which isn't very professional. If something is for sale, it should have a price on it.
Dinner
Pork belly + gai lan was amazing!!
Loved it. Great fresh and quality ingredients, and lots of flavor. Wings with the sauce and fried oysters when available are my favorites! Love that they serve local and seasonal items like spot prawns too.
Service is always great
We ordered the longtail wings, chicken pad thai, roti with peanut sauce and daily curry with prawn (comes with rice). Everything was super good and tasty. Our favourite items were the chicken wings and the curry. The pad thai was solid and the roti was nice and crispy. I would definitely go again just for the wings!
Great food!
Holy Basil chicken with eeg was delicious ????
This is the only good thai food in New West! I love the chicken wings, beef pad siu, and pad thai. The fried brussel sprouts they have when they are in season are amazing; and I like that they have thai iced tea. The same people are usually working there whenever I go, and they are super friendly. The space itself is clean and inviting. We like to eat here and than walk along the fraser river. But I am glad they are on skipthedishes for when I feel like staying home!
Friend told me the chicken wings here were the best. Had to try. They were OK but not the best. Had better in China town. Plus this place charged me 30 dollars for 18 wings which I thought was kinda pricey. 18 wings in China town costs 17 dollars......
Best restaurant in New Westminster. Their food is art.
The food here is really good, and I love the casual atmosphere. I just wish they'd stay open a little later in the evening for dinner.
Our go to place at the quay...Always go for wings, Chicken and Shrimps Pad Thai..
Best Thai cuisine in New Westminster, outside of Vancouver. Everything on the menu is excellent. The chicken wings are better than Phnom Penh's. Yeah I said it.
Some of the best Thai food in metro van, if not maybe the hemisphere.
My favourite place to eat in the market, everything is so delicious. Love their wings and pad thai.
Excellent food
One of our fave spots. Their chicken wings are SO good. Better than the well known, Phnom Penh. When we aren't ordering off Skip the Dishes, we're visiting this spot in person. Their fried rice is a must try as well. Props to the chef!
The food here is pretty good, but they ran out of Pad Thai at the beginning of lunch time. The alternative took a long time to make, and the wait was not acceptable (20min). I would go there again since the food is good, but I would suggest that they make sure they have all their menu items, and serve customers quicker. There pricing is slightly high, but that's expected for the Quay.
This is a hidden gem for Thai food in New West. The food here is the best a Thai in New West and Burnaby. Its not too saucy like most places and the sauce seems home made and not from a can like all the other Thai place. The food is top notch and everything is high quality. The one downside of the menu options are limited
Been twice in the past 3 months. Last time wifey and I both had the Hue style soup noodles. Really good. The food here is delicious. I will be back.
Great place! Got the pad thai chicken and 3 sides to share with my boyfriend. Longtail wings, green papaya salad, and hand pulled roti w/peanut sauce were all delicious. They don’t lie about the wings… a bit more on the expensive side but we thought it was worth it :)
Delicious food! Deserves all the positive press it’s getting. We had the pad sew beef and we’ll be going back again and again for it! Service was quick and friendly.
The rice was raw. Staffs were nonsense, they sprayed cleanser to clean the table right next to my food. Never go again.
This is really great food cooked fresh. Eaten here 4 times and tried everything on the menu - takes a little time because they cook it all fresh in front of you but it’s really delicious fusion food. Well worth a visit
The food was amazing! The portion huge. I loved it.
Ran by the same owner that brought Vancouver Maenam which, in my opinion, serves up the best Thai in town. The place wasn't too busy when we came on a Sunday. You order and pay at the counter then they bring your food to the table. I like my Thai food very very spicy and some places gets a little gun shy when I ask for that, this isn't one of them. Basil beef rice was flavourful, medium portion and not overly expensive for Thai food. Right, wrong or indifferent, you pay a premium for Thai food. I just wish they carried more items from the Freebird menu. I would recommend this place for those who can't always make it out to Maenam, flavour profiles are very similar, just less high end ingredients and more leaning towards Thai soul food. Well return.
Best Thai food I’ve had outside SE Asia! Fresh ingredients with authentic techniques, always satisfies! Just wish they were open past 6pm
Ordered tofu pad thai. Now I've never been to Thailand so I can't say how authentic the food is, but noodles were somewhat raw, and clumped together, which made eating unpleasant. Tofu was fresh and tasty though, and you could tell there was more than your average pad thai flavours and garnishes. A bit pricey for what you get.
I cant get over their pad thai. its sooooooo fricken good. you have to go
The food is amazing here. Very flavourful. Reminds me of Thailand!
Not authentic, sorry. Non thai chef !
Sickly sweet sugar noodles with 3 prawns for $14. If I had paid $5, I would have felt totally ripped off. I ate the prawns and threw the noodles in the garbage. Will never return, do not understand how others could leave such good reviews. This isn't pad Thai. Something was very wrong.
(Translated) Simply delicious !! ???? (Original) Simplement délicieux!!????
Have only been here twice but both times the food was VERY good. Have only been to a few Thai restaurants, this was the best of them.
