Chowder was great! My lobster roll was really good as well...nice and light on the mayo. Tried the lobster Mac & cheese...kids didn't like the cheese, I'm not a pasta fan but the combo of the cheese and lobster was good in my opinion. My husband enjoyed the lobster dinner. We sat on the patio which was nice. Service was friendly. Overall we liked it but enjoyed our dinner the night before across the street at Alma's Boathouse a lot more.

Be careful because it's Market price for that dinner and it cost $50.00 that day. We also had the scallops app which was 6 scallops for $18. Really good food though just $$$.

I was thinking the restaurant would be the typical diner serving typical tourist trap quality diner food but I was mistaken. Great food and excellent service (thanks Emily). I had the burger and it was one of THE BEST I have ever had! (I don’t give positive burger reviews lightly- trust me.) Next time I’m around, me and the family will be stopping.

Came here from the Campground in Fundy with 2 kids for lunch . Amazing food and great service. Pork tacos, chowder and scallops were amazing. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked (thought there would have been bigger fish portions). Biscuit with the chowder was dynamite and fries were great too. My friends and I have reservation there for 2.30 and we wait about 40-60 mins to get the meals. After we paid, the waitress assume that we haven't paid and call us back to the restaurant. I will definitely be returning. Great service and food. We tried the seafood chowder, the fish & chips (got potato fries) and the lobster Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious and fished by the boats that surround the restaurants. Our meal was perfectly timed with low tide and we had great seats to watch it from the terrace.

Visited the Tipsy Tails tonight for a early dinner. Everything we had was excellent. The fish and chips were fresh, perfectly cooked and came with the best tartar sauce I have ever had. The lobster roll was a generous portion and had a good bun to lobster ratio. Sat at the bar on the patio which had a perfect view of the harbor and we got to enjoy watching the tide rise. Try the street corn it was amazing!

My partner and I went to the tipsy tail for the first time today, it was DELICIOUS. We shared the seafood chowder and had the lobster pasta, both dishes were full of flavour. Their local drink selection is great including drinks from Holy Whale, and a sweet Apple Cider Sangria. The owner/server Jeremy was absolutely wonderful, he was very pleasant to speak with and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back again!

No complaints - rather enjoyed it. The menu wasn't too diverse, but still, I found the food very good. No complaints about the food really but the burger was a little small...the bun was a little too big for the actual burger served - which added to the noticeable difference. But it was good. I would have preferred more burger than fries - but the fries were good - had the parmesan/garlic aioli fries. All in all, no real complaints - enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The place was packed. Friendly waitress and friendly owner who greeted us. I would go back.

If you watched the TV series The Affair, which was set around a roadside restaurant in America called The Lobster Roll, well this restaurant is very similar.

After attending an evening wedding near by we went in search of a place to have dinner and found the Tipsy Tails Restaurant across the street from our B&B. it was almost closing time but welcomed our party of 4 and sat us on the patio. The drinks were cold and the food arrived in short order. We enjoyed the Fish & Chips, Lobster Poutine and Lobster mac 'n cheese. Everything was delicious and our server Jeremy was very attentive. He even remarked about the golf course I mentioned I would be playing the next morning. All in all a great experience and would recommend highly recommend it.

Beautiful patio with plenty of flowers, a great view of the lobstering boats, fun bouys hanging from the ceiling and string lights. We biked around to all the restaurants and this was among the best. The one at the opposite end of town (Almas Lobster) would be best on a cold windy day since they have plenty of enclosed patio seating. The food was excellent! The lemongrass scallops were especially unique, tender, and well- balanced! Don't miss them. Since the Bay of Fundy is world-renowned for their lobster we went with the purist approach and ordered the lobster dinner. It was delicious, but I'm no connoisseur, so I can't really say if I'd call it 'world class'. ????‍♀️ The cheddar biscuit it came with was awesome. The seasonal salad was good, but I regret not ordering the boojee fries instead. I don't like cole slaw but theirs was actually decent even for me. They had some fun house specials that probably would have also been delicious. I bet they get bored with catering to the same basic tourist requests all the time. The local beers we had were good, especially the creamsicle. The purple people eater (purple gin and tonic w/elderberry) is beautiful and instagram-worthy. Our server Jeremy was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. Next time I'll follow his suggestion for the boujee fries.

I went to this restaurant by recommendation from a freind, all I have to say is don't waist your time or money we ordered fish and chips, lobster pouting and a berger and fries. First the fish and ships,the fish was so greasy that it took 3 napkins to get most of the grease out and then the fish tasted like water Second the lobster poutine,it was almost all Crum fries and way over cooked,even with the sauce the fries were hard. Third was the tiny hamburger and fries, the pattie had no taste to it and only filled half of the bun,all that for $70 so not worth the $$$ sorry guys. And to $3.50 for a can of pop... come on guys

If you don’t get the Lobster Mac and cheese you’re doing yourself a disservice, words fail to accurately describe how tasty it is. The only fault I think anyone could find with this place is perhaps the service, but it’s exactly what I might expect of a small seaside town next to a national park (a little slow but friendly and fair), keep in mind it’s a smaller place and there seems to be only one waitress, the Lobster Mac and Cheese is more than worth it!

Had a mocktail, craft beer, lobster roll plate, and the daily special which was a seafood gumbo, Fundy bay scallop starter Drinks were excellent, the ginger beer mocktail was very enjoyable. Food was ok, not great, but not good value. Did not meet my expectations for premium prices. My gumbo meal was bland and the amount/size and quality of seafood in the gumbo did not meet my expectations for a $25 meal - mini shrimp and tiny bay scallops. The pieces of lobster if they were there were too small to find. Overall I would go again just for drinks and appetizers.

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. We were able to get a spot on the patio that overlooked the harbour. A nice relaxed atmosphere. It was not to busy when we stopped in. Absolutely fantastic. A very nice and charming atmosphere with friendly staff. Wonderful food. After some exploring in the park we stopped in for the 1.5 lbs lobster dinner. The lobster, cooked perfectly, was buttery, sweet and tasted ever so slightly of the ocean. The accompanying biscuit - not your typical biscuit - was seasoned with dulse (seaweed), and had a fluffy interior with a nice crunchy exterior. Roasted potatoes and a lovely brule, made with a local beer, rounded out the meal.

AMAZING. The food was delicious. I had the chowder and my husband had the lobster roll (which I had some bites of) and clams. It was all so yummy. The best chowder and lobster roll that we’ve had on our trip so far. We ate on the covered deck which was actually nice considering it was raining and windy. It blocked most of the wind and we got to look at the cool sailboats. The owner (I’m assuming) is a very cool guy and friendly to talk to. He gave us some tips on the area. Definitely recommend!

Ordered the grilled romaine, romaine clearly had lots of dirt at the base of each leaf. We told our waitress who brought it to the kitchen to show the staff, she returned and said it was "just char" and that it was "fine"; the lettuce clearly had plenty of dirt, and only at the base, not the far part of the leaves (if it was char it would have been in more than just the base). She also did not bring back the half eaten dish, despite telling us it was "fine to eat". We are feeling frustrated that we were served and paid for unwashed produce which could potentially be contaminated with E.coli and give us food poisoning. We were also being swarmed by flies the whole time, even though we were eating indoors; a fly would land on us at least every 30 seconds, with around 5 around us the whole time, which was highly unappetizing and uncomfortable. The food overall was good but highly expensive and a bad experience; feeling regretful about spending our money there.

Wouldnt recommend. We were excited to try this restaurant to sit on the deck, which was great. Food however was very expensive and not the greatest. I got the $19 pork tacos (had pineapple, yum). They were super small with hardly anything on them, with no side I left hungry and rather upset I just spent $19. Maybe 2 chunks of pineapple and hardly any pork. Husband had the nacho burger and was under whelmed. Also not worth $19.

We were told to wait at the door for the next table and waited for a good 10 minutes while three other customers just passed right through us and were given a table right away. We overheard they didn’t have a reservation. I guess this restaurant just doesn’t want to serve us for some reason, while I wouldn’t say the staff is racist, but given the fact the three customers who came after us were all white and my mom and I are Asian, you get the picture of how we might feel.

Very little options on the menu. Sea food & fish plater: salmon was dry, mussles tasted like they were canned and even the pickles didn't taste like pickles. For the main dish, we all ordered the lobster roll, it was dried and unseasoned ... Portions are not proportional to the price ... Very small quantities for an expensive main. The waiter didn't even mention that our spacy mayo was an extra ... And he was the one that offered us some. Wouldn't recommend.

From the moment we walked in everyone was welcoming and accommodating. I was even offered a blanket as we sat on the patio and it was a chilly night which was quite the gesture. The patio has an amazing view and I enjoyed the modern/homey feel of the restaurant. Now to the food... we had the scallops, fish cake, and smoked salmon tacos and I have to say everything exceeded my expectations. The plating was colourful, the flavours and ingredients were fresh and all in all the food was well thought out and executed. I would highly recommend this fanstic gem. Happy dining!!

We ate at several places in the area, and we really enjoyed Tipsy Tails. I had the lobster Mac and cheese, and my mate had a burger. We were both very pleased! The lobster Mac and cheese had plenty of lobster and great flavor, and the burger was big, juicy, and flavorful. We were very disappointed in the olive appetizer, however. $8 for a small handful of marinated olives, and of the three types, one type wasn’t even edible. They were so bitter! So that was a bit of a waste. We told our server we didn’t eat the 5 or so small green ones because they were really awful, and she just shrugged. The outdoor deck has nice views of the harbor. Inside wasn’t anythung special, so we were happy to have had pleasant weather. We would definitely return.

We have been on a 2 week road trip through PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. There have been 2 things I try everywhere i go. The local beers and the seafood chowder. I have to say, the Holy Whale Brewery makes some fine ales. And tipsy Tails has the best chowder i have had thus far on this trip, surpassing even the chowders at a culinary festival competition in PEI. By far the best chowder i have had hands down.

Hate to say it, but this resort/tourist attraction has alot going for it... However when you decide to go for dinner on a saturday( in peak season), you best eat before 8:30... Google says open till midnight(set by management), staff says, "sorry, were closed at 8:30 and have nothing to do with what google says"... as they're serving alcohol after hours... Who heard of a bar in a fishing village close at 8:30pm... The sun is still up... Absolutely nowhere to eat food in this place after sundown, no gas, convenience store, pizza place, etc... All closed before their time says on google. Not 5 or 10 or 30 minutes, but hours.... Now we go to sleep with no grub in our tummies... Pissyface...

A group of 3, reviewing for all of us. Service was good. Patio was pleasant, chilly breeze the evening we were there and blankets were available to stay warm. The scallops and secret lobster Mac and cheese were excellent. Burger was a little dry. Kimchi poutine was nice. Would go back again if I find myself in the area.

My family and I enjoyed an amazing meal after a day at Fundy National Park. Fish and chips, fantastic! Jerk chicken wings - so yummy. The Tipsy Burger was my husband’s choice and he devoured it - fresh, flavourful and hot! The view was beautiful and we loved it!

Fun place to get a good lobster roll in a very clean restaurant. The view of the lobster boats in the harbor sitting on the dry bottom of the bay after the huge Fundy tide dropped out was amazing. The service was first class in a casual atmosphere.

The food was awesome! So so good! Boujie Fries with garlic aloi, parmesan and truffle salt! The famous Alma sticky buns made into a bread pudding with cream and blueberries.

A little expensive but every restaurant there was. I sat on the rear terrace over looking the little harbor. The fishing boats were grounded at the beginning of lunch and floating by the end of lunch. Try and be there for a tide coming in.

By far the best sea food in Alma. Stayed in Fundy for 3 days, and this was the place to eat. Staff teach you about and how to open the lobster. The mac and cheese is the best I've ever had and the chowder is hearty with full of flavor.

I ate at this restaurant twice over a week. Both times the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was really good. The patio view right on the water, beside the boats was really nice, and the second visit when the patio was full, the indoor seating was pleasant and an enjoyable experience also. The burger with the pickled jalapeños was in particular very good. The boujie fries with aioli were great also. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean with cute decor.

Stopped by Tipsy Tails for a quick bite to eat on our way through Alma as we heard it was the place for a great bowl of chowder. We were not disappointed! We ended up ordering the Seafood Chowder and the Lobster Roll - both of which were just great. The chowder was the best we found during our two weeks out East and the lobster roll had a good amount of lobster and was quite filling. Additionally, Jeremy was an excellent server and was awesome during our visit. Thanks again!

Nice spot with a great view onto the harbor and fishing boats. Good to very good seafood with a nice selection of dishes. Several innovative starters that are very tasty. Fried fish excellent but lobster roll probably a 7 out of 10. Very convenient if staying in Fundy Park. Service good and prices are reasonable. Very busy though they do take reservations.

Upon arrival at Tipsy Tails we were greeted by a friendly staff member who offered us a choice of patio or inside. As we were with our kids and it was cool and drizzly we chose inside. Once seated we were approached by a friendly, cheery bloke named Jeremy who was appropriately chatty and full of advice and information. We ordered the lobster roll and fish tacos, while the kids got pasta Alfredo. The lobster roll was delicious and the boujie fries were amazing... my portion size was huge but the wife and kids inhaled half of my fries once they got a taste. I wasn't letting them at my lobster roll though. The fish tacos were an amazing balance of fish (loads) and garnish and sauce in the soft shells and were so tasty. Top marks for food and service... definitely try Tipsy Tails when in Alma.
