Bacon wrapped scallops, filet mignon, double stuffed baked potato, wine etc all very good and nicely done as ordered. Lobster tail side was small and mushy. Strawberry shortcake was horrible, very dry cake with whipped cream and strawberry on top. Service was good. Reasonable to slightly higher priced. Not sure I’d recommend or return. Go to the Keg.

My first and last time going to Maverick's occurred last night. A group of friends and I are taking in some of the Flip Burger Festival competition burgers. None of us had been to Maverick's yet, so it was a good opportunity to do both. Made a Reservation for 8pm for a group of 5. -7:55pm, table is not ready. Cool the hotel lobby (Maverick's is in a hotel) was a nice space to wait. -8pm, not ready. -8:10, should just be a few more minutes. -8:15, seated. Right out of the gate, it was Friday night and they were busy. The 6 to 8pm rush was just finishing up. So, we were understanding and our server explained to us that things were busy and that things were taking a little longer. Which we appreciated and gave him credit for being upfront with us. He landed water and drinks and things were okay... for a while. Now, It's not like we were a complicated table. 5 people all here to try the competition burger, and drinks. Shortly after we are seated, our section basically empties out. One would think (all 5 of us at the table work in the service industry) that, when your section is slammed, sure your server has to divide their attention to all their tables. The frustrating thing was, that as our section cleared out, we saw our server less, and less, and less. After an Hour (9:15) one of our group flags down (Not our server) and says that our simple orders have been in for a hour, what's going on? This New employee checks with the kitchen, and comes back saying that the kitchen is just plating our food now, and it will be right out in a very few minutes. -9:30 Crickets. Literally crickets, as we are basically the only people left on our side of the restaurant. Our food lands 5+ minutes later. Not good. One of our 5 orders is messed up and has to go back to the kitchen, the others feel like they've been sitting under heat lamps for the last half hour. I finished less than half the burger. Wasn't very good, and Not worthy of a Burger Competition. Only 2 of the 5 of us finished our burgers. The only reason 1 finished is because they were SOOOO hungry at this point that they would have eaten anything. Then we are left there... until 10:30!!!!!!!! Most of us are done with the little bit of bad food that we're going to eat in like 10 minutes. So let's say that by 9:45/9:50 we are pretty much done. Napkins are on plates. By 10:30, I decided to go to the bathroom. I told the group that if the server had not been by to collect plates, or give bills, or ask about dessert, or just.... SHOW UP AT ALL!!, Then I would bring this issue forward and Sort It Out. I got back to the table and nothing had changed. Thankfully, my friend Amanda, got up and told me that she'd speak to someone. To the Manager's credit, she seemed to have an idea that our table had not been given good service from the get go, she made an attempt at saying the server was new and growing pains... But there is no way to make a new first impression at this point. I got home at 11pm, from a 8pm reservation, with less than half of a "Mehh" burger to show for it. Even with the "meal" comped, I will never be back. It wasn't worth the 3 hours out of my life. More importantly there are many better places to eat in Moncton, that are way closer to the downtown core. Avoid Maverick's, unless you have more money and time to burn than sense to get up and go somewhere else.

Went for the Sunday brunch for my birthday, wasnt bad, wasnt great either. The omelette station and the coffee was the best parts but for $20 bucks a plate it wasnt worth it. Deserts were alright as well, I would not recommend the sausages...took 1 bite, didnt think it was gonna go down but didnt want to spit it into their cloth napkins so I manned up and swollowed...was not pleasant. 4 stars for the omelette and coffee

Love coming here for a good steak. I’ve tried almost all of them and I love the filet and the prime rib. Always cooked to perfection. The staff is always very friendly and helpful with recommendations! It’s a great atmosphere and menu for anyone!

Decided to go with a group of 10 on NYE, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. At the time of reservation, they did not advise they only had a partial menu (only 4 or 5 choice for their meals). I ordered Bruschetta for appetizer ($10.95) which was really delicious, and ordered a Filet Mignon for the main meal (7oz @ $39.95) with Peppercorn Sauce ($5). There was no option for bigger size, I usually get a 10oz for that price. When the plate arrived, the waitress misplaced the orders and gave me someone else plate, she noticed once she arrived with the other plate that I had the wrong one. I did not find that the amount I paid matched the ratio of food on my plate, the plate looked empty (see photo). Furthermore, we ordered soft drinks with our meal and they only arrived once I had finished my plate in total, when we asked the server where they were, she stated that the bar was really busy. All and all, food was good but small portions for the amount paid, and service was ok not excellent. I would definitely not plan another trip to Mavericks, for the amount we paid we could have had a way better meal at Osaka Hibachi and would have had like 2 the food on the plate. My recommendation is to go to Osaka Hibachi or Keg Steakhouse. I would even go as far to say that a 2 hrs and 30 min drive to Baton Rouge in NS would have been more worth it as it is far more excellent.

For many years we looked forward to the Sunday brunch here, but unfortunately things have changed for 2020. The head Chef is no longer, and they're under new management ... The brunch is not the amazing spread it used to be with the restaurant divided by breakfast choices to one side, and lunch the other. Very disappointing if you're a long time regular! Sadly, Moncton doesn't have any other brunch buffets for a Sunday, other than the casino. Not sure where the head Chef is now, but sure would follow!! Miss the old Maverick's brunch!

Went for taco week and really enjoyed the tacos they had. The taste was wonderful and the steak was nice and juicy. The prices were even to most other places participating in taco week but the product we received was above the price we paid. It was very well done and the servers were extremely nice and helpful as well, giving us our maps and telling us how to use them.

I have gone to mavericks many times (mainly for Sunday buffet) and have had nothing but an amazing experience each time. The staff are very kind as well as considerate to their customers, and the food is always delicious. They offer a great selection and food is reasonably priced according to the portion and quality. Additionally, waitresses are quick to get to you when ordering or to bring the bill. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone! 5/5 ⭐️

Dec 13,2014, part of a group of 30 with lunch reservations. Arrived at 11:30 and food arrived at our table at 1:05. The food was warm at best. 2 servers were serving our two tables as well as the ENTIRE lunch crowd in main restaurant. Very disappointing and would NOT return. The room we were assigned was lovely but other than that the service and food was unacceptable. One table served food and then it seemed that the cook started cooking other tables food. No offer of apology re the long.............wait. Not acceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Won’t bother going back. Even though we had a reservation we were seated at the worst table in the place. The setting sun was shining in my eyes, since there was no blind on the window near us. There were several other open tables so not sure why the hostess gave us that table. Eventually we asked and were given a new table. We both ordered the filet. I got the well done one my husband ordered and he got the medium I ordered and it took us several bites to realize the error. We both got the over cooked broccoli and the tasteless carrots. The bread looked beautiful but was completely tasteless. The wine was good even though it took 20 minutes to arrive at our table.

This was the worst dining out experience I have ever had. Very poor service. Glass of diet coke tasted like it was 5 days old. The garlic potatoes had no garlic you could taste. The 12 oz rib eye steak was brutal. Fat ,gristle, stringy and virtually tasteless. The prices were very high and did not reflect that should be the price for a fancy restaurant. If I had 10 thumbs it would be a 10 thumbs down . Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went for a date night. Burger was good. We had bruschetta for starter, it was good but didn't like oil they put over it so would request without that next time. Seafood casserole was good but would try something different next time. Carrot Cake was yummy, cream cheese icing was good on it. Red sangria was good.

My fiancee and I went in this evening to celebrate our anniversary, we have gone to Maverick's every year and usually the food is AMAZING but not this time. The food was SO salty and his poutine was swimming with gravy. At the end of the meal both of us felt bloated and overall uncomfortable. Not what you would expect if your paying over $100, we will find a new place for our next anniversary.

Menus items did not resemble what we were served. What was suspose to be a double stuffed baked potato, was infact a regular dry baked potato. Probably the toughest New York strip sirloin I ever had, foolishly ordered the 12 oz., got about 6 oz. that was edible. For a steakhouse very dissatisfying.

Below average service, below average food. It seems like the server and the kitchen staff do not talk or listen to each other. The Prime rib came RARE, I had specified Medium, the baked potato was hard and under-cooked and came without the butter as asked, and I returned it for mashed instead, I specified for the vegetables to be well cooked, soft even. The 5 skinny pieces of asparagus came hard and not edible, they were also returned but the substitutes were not much better. I didn't want to leave a tip, but my wife insisted on leaving $5, but not to complain further and never return again........................ J.G.C.

Second visit to this place and very disappointed. Part of a small group of 13 for a party with a limited menu offering and when I asked for a medium rare prime rib I was told "No, everything is medium". Paying $50 for a steak and not being able to choose how I want my steak.... Not very impressed. Waitress was very rude, constantly going in front of guests to place plates. I don't see any reason to come back to this place.

First time trying this great spot. From the welcome to the exit this was truly a great visit to the Maverick's Steak house. We love to sit at the bar and have our drinks and dinner and this was a great choice here. Brenden our bartender host and server did a fine job serving and providing great suggestions. Sarah and Melissa with their great conversation and also suggestions made this evening real good. Now for the food from kale salad and bacon wrapped scallops to fresh perfectly cooked prime Rib and NY strip everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. Thanks very much we will be sure to return here

After the menu left much to be desired (the pictures didn't not make the food look appetizing to me, I couldn't find anything that made me want to eat it) I was actually really pleased with my dinner! I had the chicken stir fry with the spicy Thai chili sauce. There were lots of fresh veggies and the chicken was good. The sauce was nice and spicy but could still taste everything. Brownie was a little too gooey for my taste but that's all just personal preference. Overall impressed.

Mavericks is a family favourite of ours! We love the relaxed atmosphere and have never left hungry or disappointed. I definitely recommend the brunch; it has such a wide range of breakfast and lunch options. The fajitas are also another family favourite! The staff are always so friendly. This restaurant is definitely a must try in Moncton!

Absolutely terrible, went for Valentines day and have never been so disappointed. They should have let anyone booking reservations that it was strictly a special menu, not to mention the prices were absurd. $150 for two basic meals, which consisted of an appetizer (TWO bacon wrapped scollops), a regular steak which was not cooked as asked, and the desert was just terrible. Not only was it such a disappointment because of these reasons, but the menu provided was not allergy-friendly whatsoever. We waited over an hour for our main course which put a hold on our other plans. The only positive thing I have to say about the experience was our waitress, I did not get her name but she was awesome.

We visited Maverick’s for the second time for the Sunday brunch. This brunch is the real deal. Some of the features included: - omelette station - ham carvery station - flambé station with shrimp for savoury lovers and berry crepes for sweet lovers - salad bar with pasta salad, potato salad, house salad, anipasto, cheese and crackers - got veg and cold veg - fresh fruit - spicy pumpkin soup - roasted chicken - bacon, sausages, waffles and French toast - breakfast potato’s - eggs Benedict - dessert station And SO MUCH MORE that I can’t even recall. Everything was amazing and the buffet fairly priced. If you stay at the hotel you also receive 10% off your order when you buy drinks- so we had some delicious caesars as well!
