This is the best mother lovin pizza i have had in years !! Tonnes of toppings, huge flavor and tastes even better the next day cold. This is Nelsons ONLY pizza place worth visiting. Oh and if you are a wing nut like me order their wings.... You get and actual fair portion for your dollar and they have tasty hot sauce !!

Staying in Nelson for a couple of nights...and the fam jam decided on Thor's. Boy oh boy are we glad we did. From the moment we ordered to all the way to getting back to our hotel for dinner the experience was amazing.

Okay - the food was underwhelming. We ordered the “Heavenly” Artemis pizza - $24.99. It was quite bland and the pizza dough was gooey. I expected a lot more taste and vibrancy to this handmade specialty pizza. The tables were covered with grease and crumbs, seating upholstery torn. People had dogs sitting at the tables. Washroom is available, with good smelling soap, running water and paper towels - and is located in the corner of the kitchen, so ask to visit if you want to see the innards of this shed. See pictured menus, walls and decor. The ceilings are beautiful.

Being from Golden, I thought Red Tomato Pies was the holy grail of pizzerias in BC. Boy was I wrong. Went to Thors for the first time, to get some pizza by the slice. What a selection! Most pizzerias that offer by the slice have maybe 3 options. Not these guys, boasting seven choices when I went, all of them looking amazing. The calzones however... By far the best I have ever had, and Ive had a few in my travels. Perfect cheese to topping ratios, unreal seasonings, and oh so satisfying. Now my personal favorite attribute of this place, is the health factor. If you pick right, you wont be leaving here feeling heavy, or greasy, you will feel good and refreshed! The staff here is also, second to none. I asked for 1 calzone, they gave me 2, and charged for 1. I would have loved them even if they didnt give me free food, but thats the sort of thing, that ensures me coming back! If you need pizza, Thors should be your first choice.

So here I was again on my annual holiday trip to Nelson this year to bring my car to The Nelson Road Kings 2018 Car Show and first lunch stop first day is Thors ---- once again this PIZZA GURU filling up on pizza. Awesome Outstanding Pizza -- Once again TOP of my favorite pizza list. Short stay this year so only able to get one feed --- might try tonite (Sunday) after they open at 4pm. Sound like a plan - - me thinks so.

Thors is awesome. Not a ton of seating but this is a grab and go pizza by the slice or calzone kind of place. There is a great selection of both. The staff is always friendly. Just a short walk off of the end of Baker Street. I love it here.

Picked up pizza last night in Nelson when I received my pizza they accidentally forgot to put vegan cheese on my wife’s pizza....no biggie I phoned and got a “sorry were closed” I explained that the order was wrong and being they were closed I sure wasn’t going to press it! But no way this guy insisted we come back! Made the order right was super cool about it forced me to take free drinks too! So needless to say your customer service is over the top! Now for the pizza ???? I’ve lived in the Kootenays for about a year and a half and you guys Crushed It! Best Pizza around! Pizza was amazing! Thanks so much! I worked here a few years ago, and it was amazing, but since then I have had terrible encounters with the staff, the dough tastes like dead yeast, and the telephone/delivery service has been horrid for my roomates. Bring back the Thors I loved!

Whatever is in their pizza dough is not meant for human consumption. The pizza tastes great but gives instant diarrhea every single time (I live in nelson and have eaten Thors dozens of times). Also the main guy who works there has always been rude to me over the years. I highly suggest going to el taco or anywhere else it'll save the pain on your stomach.

Its almost like these folks never had good pizza or something. my toppings were scatted over the cheese as if they were put on half way thru cooking. the dough was not proofed enough, very hard and tastes of flour. i have had pizza here many times over the years, they are consistently bad.

I just wish that if you went in half an hour before they closed there would at least be one fresh option. or they would offer you a discount on the extremely old gross looking pizza that was still in the glass. But maybe it's good cuz it discourages me from wandering in there at 8:30 on a weeknight.

Good pizza, with some great fresh slice varieties, not super pricey either. They also offer some decent calzones. However during peak hours seating is a commodity as the seating area is quite small. Also has a nice curbside seating area which is great in the summer! Staff are a very jovial and always cracking jokes. Highly reccomend.

We were reading the menu outside and planning to go inside when someone came out and yelled at my teenaged son. Apparently the thing he was leaning on was a table...? It took me a second to figure out that it was a bench with a small circular table bolted to the stonework. He wasn't hurting anything, he's a good kid and he apologized. I've been going to thors for my whole life and I have never been disappointed. When you go to the store you can get pizza by the slice and they have delicious calzones to. I like that they also are creative with their flavors as well like and the end of the month is poutine pizza. I would reccommend it to everyone

We've been here on locals' recommendation. Unfortunately I've been disappointed by the taste of the dough. The toppings were nice and well prepared, but the core element of every pizza, the dough, tasted simply like nothing. The texture was good, though. I'd like to recommend a prolonged dough ripening time of at least 24h, maybe different types of flour and especially to not forget the salt. I'll try you guys out again the next time I visit Canada ;)

Smokey sauce, ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, and extra cheese. Really well done. Perfect sauce to topping ratio. Crust was not soggy, nice and crispy on the edges. Picked up in store, ended up having to grab calzones as well. Too good! Ate them on the drive home. Perfect ratios once again.

Delicious pizza, interesting topping options, friendly staff, interesting seating, nice music, doesn't serve coffee, path to bathroom is through the kitchen, don't clean up throughout the day as much as they should, a bit expensive, lineups are awkward & in the way of several things Try the Dionysos ????

I have eaten mediocre pizza in my lifetime but I’ve never had horrible pizza before. This was a sad excuse for pizza. The only thing worse than the pizza was the service from the person who was working that evening. I’m sorry I wasted my calories and your time.

Came here on a Tuesday evening after having a disappointing taco and it made everything right again. You can get a slice for $3.75. The guy was very nice and offered to split the pizza cause I was sharing with a friend. We had the daily special (olives, artichokes, ham) which was delicious. Crust is well seasoned, chewy and bouncy. Toppings were plentiful, though not so much that everything falls apart when you bite it. Would come back here for another slice and to try the calzone.

I honestly don't understand the 4.6 rating, perhaps it's loyalty? I've given this place 4 attempts, first I got a small specialty...not good ingredients, diced bell pepper that look and taste like something you would get on a frozen pizza. Then I went back with a friend and got a small Caesar salad, which was honestly the best thing I have had at this establishment, saw the pizza in the window and decided it looked better than my pizza so tried it the next time. There was so much grease that the paper plate was saturated and orange. So last attempt was a Calzone (which doesn't come with a side of pizza sauce, I have no idea why... so I was charge a dollar for a 2oz ramakin of cold pizza sauce) which has shredded pepperoni which looked more like roast beef as it was brown. That all said, the person who is usually at the register, at least every time I have been, is very bad at acting kind, I mean I get that you don't care about your job but if you are going to be FOH staff, at least be cordial. I will not be going back or making any recommendations for Thor's Pizza.

Outstanding pizza. My wife and three kids loved it (spicy pep, veg, Hawaiian). I'm leaving a two star review because the person who served us was unfriendly both to me and my wife. Passing through to Alberta and just stopped for a slice. Unfortunate experience for our first time through Nelson.
