Good Chinese food - often very fresh ingredients. If you get something you don't like tho, even a drink, too bad for you!! When they are busy, they tend to not answer the phone and if they do, they won't take orders for delivery. Good sushi. A good alternative is Amanda's but Amanda's is not downtown.

We have date night every second week for sushi and KC's is our go to spot. However the last few times the quality of food and service has been awful. I got sick a month ago, and hesitantly we went back, to find not only 1 but 2 hairs in the food. On top of that, no music, and the service was terrible, we waited a good 15 mins after our drinks arrived to place our food order.

Overall not very satisfactory service. Took over double the amount of time than what we were told for delivery and when we called a second time to inquire about our food (quite politely) the person who took the call was abrupt and rude and didn't answer our question. Sushi was delivered with no fortune cookies, way too many chopsticks and not enough soy sauce, as well as forgetting ginger/wasabi. However, the sushi was tasty. Would reccomend KC's for sushi but nothing else.

decent food but honestly I get the vibe that the owner is cheap. I ask for extra soy sauce and she drops it in front of me in disgust. I wish I could go there more but it hinders me knowing I gotta deal with her. That place is going straight into the ground.

Used to eat here at least once a month, loved it every time. Quiet but friendly staff, great food. Very affordable. Very good sushi.

Horrible Sushi! Everything we ordered was awful. The miso soup and sushi rolls did not taste good. We ordered chicken yaki-soba and it came out vegetarian. We were forced to wait for the chicken which came at the end of the meal and tasted like it was nuked. If your from out of town, avoid go somewhere good across the street!

My go-to sushi place in town. Great price for great food. Lots of vegetarian options - my favourite is the veggie delight! They also have a vegetarian party pack that's delicious.

My favorite place to eat in Nelson. It has a nice modest interior with cozy front end tables. A sushi bar that serves tastey sushi rolls freshly made. The menu here is versatile in most popular asian cuisuine (ex. Chinese, Japanese, Thai). The staff are nice enough and clearly hard working. The prices are fair and normal for a regular Chinese resteraunte. I would normally spend under $20 for a very large portion of their chow mein and a single California roll (six pieces). Consistent quality of food. Never an irritating wait. Charming ambient music with hip-hop tone. Employees with genuine character and realness. Also tables available just past sushi bar and till. I recommend this place to single people, couples, small families, and groups of friends that enjoy good reasonably priced Chinese food or Sushi. Never dissapointing!

Very bad service and communication between the staff and customers. I waited an hour for my appetizers then another half hour for my main course. I was told there was free refills for my drink but the waiter charged for two drinks. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this restaurant. I would put no stars but I couldn’t post this without one.

This didnt even qualify as food. The gommae was essentially booked spinach with what appeared to be watered down jif peanut butter, spring rolls were greasy and oddly sour and the chow mein resembled pasta with overcooked vegetables on top. To top it off, both my girlfriend and I got sick afterwards. There are phenomenal places to eat in Nelson...this is not one of those places.

Very poor packing/quality of food. Spent over $50 to have the boxes smashed and leaking all over the place, and the food tasted under cooked and just over all bad. Will NOT be eating here again. Thanks for a waste of money and time.

Bland oriental food, mostly broccoli and carrots and chow mein with no bean sprouts. High priced mediocrity catering to canadians who don't know what real chinese food should be like. Edit: when ordering Pad Thai, ask for extra bean sprouts. Wonton soup: ask for no extra noodles so that it's what a normal wonton should be like. The ginger beef isn't bad, for small-town fare; pieces a bit too thick, but having set of teeth, works for me. My less-toothed friend couldn't deal with that. Shanghai Noodle has ok seasoning, but again, broccoli & carrot & cauliflower... California roll ok too, but sure miss Vancouver take-out... (ya, I know, "move back there". Easier said than done: finances help in that regard. Would've moved already if there was somewhere to land.) Once a month I can afford a meal like a California roll, wor wonton, Shanghai noodle and ginger beef. Shared with 2 others. Approx $50 total, pickup takeout order.

Worst Thai food I've had in my life. I asked for "spicy," but the Tom Kha didn't have any spice. No apparent ginger, lemongrass, lime, or curry. Just veggies and bland shrimp in watery coconut milk. I've had better Thai soup out of a can. Worst chicken satay I've ever had, too. The edamame was ok, but I've had better from Costco. One star because the waitress was friendly. The Chinese food might be ok, but avoid the Thai food here.

We were very excited to find this restaurant but dubious because it offers 3 menus: Chinese, Japanese and Thai. However, they did a good job on the limited items we ordered: chicken satay (not so good), house rice(really good) and wonton soup (pretty good). We ordered medium spicy but next time I would order very spicy because it wasn't spicy at all. I asked for chili sauce to add.

Quick great service. Good price point. Had the Red Dragon roll and it wasn't very good. The roe and the salmon didn't taste great. The the rest of the roll was fine. Also the spicy mayo was different than other places I've been to (sriracha mixed with mayo), it tasted like a spicy yum yum sauce which wasn't bad just different.

A diverse menu of Japanese, Thai and Chinese food. I personally highly recommend the beef and broccoli, Pad Thai, sunomomo salads, nigiri and maki rolls, but I've not been disappointed with any meal in all my visits. Delicious food, swift and super friendly service in an unpretentious environment, this place deserves a higher ranking! :)

Me and my husband, Emilio, had dinner on July 8, 2021 We ordered: House Special Fried Rice, Maguro & Sake Sashimi. The House Special Fried Rice was good but the best is their Sashimi. The tuna and sockeye salmon were so fresh. You can tell just by looking at its orange flesh, firm and rich tasting salmon! The service was quick and servers were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back there!

It was a late afternoon visit so the restaurant was not busy. The menu has lots of variety including Thai, Sushi, with the Chinese food. Our meal was good and very friendly service in a warm but basic environment made for an enjoyable dinner.

Depends on who you deal with. Some workers are great with exceptional service. However over the phone, not so much. I was put on hold, can hear workers and customers in the background with the phone being jostled about. After about a minute I clearly heard someone hang up the phone on their end. My call was disconnected and I tried to call back. Eventually the same person answered and I explained I wanted to order for delivery but I was hung up on. She denied it and explained I was put on hold as she was the only person on right now. Anyhow my mood is already sour and hers is probably too as we argue semantics but I'm put on hold again. She comes back to ask for my name and number, then says she'll find out if delivery is available at this time (about 2:30). Nope, not until 6pm. I get that it's busy and she's the only person on the floor but the call could've been handled better.

Waited super long in an almost empty restaurant. It was super bland tasting and my portion was smaller than that of others that I saw who ordered the same thing..I reckon it was because they saw that I was a small person but i pay the same amount as everyone else and was hoping for left overs but ended up barely eating anything as there were rotten vegetables in my chow mein and still had to pay the full amount for a botched dish...Please do yourself a favor and go eat across the street at kurama if you want sushi or heck- even the asian fast food in the mall. Wasn't my first bad experience but will be my last. Super disappointing. It needs new management and staff.

We live out of town so we only order from KC a few times a year, but we have a year's long ritual of eating in the restaurant on Christmas Eve every year after last minute shopping. These guys are great. Super friendly. We're always happy to give them our business, and this past Christmas Even reminded me that we ought to visit them more often. Rock on KC, keep that gravy warm for my almond chicken, I'll be in soon.

It was alright I guess, they have quite the assortment of Asian food fairly conveniently located in Nelson, although I do have to say the food I got did lack a little on flavor, not to say it was bad just could have used a little something else. Although if you enjoy sushi the couple at the next table really seemed to enjoy theirs lol

I just ordered the war won ton soup and it’s the worst I’ve ever had. It used to be really good at the KC. No Flavour totally flat. I hunted and found 1 shrimp and 2 won tons. The rest was meat with no flavour most of which I didn’t even know what animal it came from. A few Vegas and watered down broth. I don’t know who the cook is there now but he must be told the food is horrible.

It's not haute cuisine folks. They make chinese-canadian food, decent sushi, and the menu is pretty extensive. Works for me.
