I was treated like family here. We had steak and turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and vegetables. Quiet area across the orange bridge about a 5 min drive from the downtown core but lots of free parking.

I really dont understand why the reviews are so high. it's gotta be family and friends. Small town I guess. No other Chinese options around and a city full of mainly white people don't know real Chinese food. Bland simple "western" style Chinese. City food court Chinese is better than this. Club sandwich was super dry as well.

Not good service, waitresses will only pay attention to you if they know you and are friends with you otherwise you are basically ignored. Very poor food quality as well would not recommend this place many other restaurants in town

We were excited to finally try out Amanda's after re-opening. The food was fresh, but the portions were smaller than many other similar type chinese restaurants and the food was very very bland. I cannot recommend and probably will not go back. Not sure why it's the best in Nelson, maybe because not that many chinese food options? There are much better options in Castlegar.

I can not even begin to describe how horrible my Amanda's experience was. First of all, lemon chicken and ginger beef, to go, no drinks, cost $37.80!!!!! Second, it was some sort of processed meat by product, greasy, stinky, and so very, very nasty. A fast food restaurant would have been a better choice. the service is also very poor. After returning our inedible meal, we went to KC, $31.66 including two drinks while we waited and sooooo delicious. Don't waste your time or $$$ on Amanda's, KC is where it's at!

We have been to Amanda's a few times because it gets good reviews. It was bad. Went again must have been a bad day. It was bad. Went because my friends wanted to it was terrible. Our Guests ordered take out unbeknownst to us even the dogs turned it down. Sorry to diss a small business but it's to expensive to order food that no one can eat. In a city of great food go elsewhere.

Amanda's restaurant has not failed or ever given me any bad food in the last eight years that I've been going there and every time we go it's fresh food it's just like they just went and bought some stuff out of the grocery store cooked it up I haven't had any complaints about their food and their wonton wor wonton soup has fantastic
