I was going to take my brother for lunch there. It smelled good so I'm sure the food is really tasty but it was too small of a place to take someone for their birthday and the tables were seated close together. You can't have a private conversation there. It seemed more of a place where those who work in the industrial part of town would go on their lunch break. For me atmosphere is more important than the food.

Why didn't I try smokin George's sooner!!! This place is amazing!!! I'm disappointed with no seating due to covid, but something more to look forward to. A smoked brisket sandwich delivered to your car is hard to beat. It's comparable in price and speed to a big Mac, but theres no comparison after that!!! I'm looking forward to trying everything on their menu. A true pro smokehouse. Driving by, I never realized just how great this place is. A treasure in Nanaimo ????

Tucked away in an industrial park in Nanaimo, this restaurant offers some great BBQ food. Created with a friendly smile, the followed by some great food. Had the briquet which was very tender and packed flavor. You will get your hands dirty while eating their sandwiches, but it's worth it!

Worst BBQ food. When I think it BBQ food I think of big bold flavours, the food here has no taste what so ever. The pulled pork is completely tasteless, the mac and cheese doesn’t have any cheese taste, the tater tots and mozzarella sticks were cold and dried out. I’m surprised that this restaurant was even allowed to put “smokin” in their name, as their food completely lacks a smoky taste.

My partner and I no longer live in Nanaimo, but whenever we're in town we always stop at Smokin' George's to eat. The food is always amazing, and the staff are the best. Everyone is always so friendly, and the same faces have been around for years, so you know the owners must create a positive work environment. On top of that, the owner George is always on site working the kitchen, or out clearing dishes, and making sure everyone's meal is perfect. Great local business, 100% recommend.

A bit of a drive from where we were but I thought it was worth it. We pigged out as it was a long drive back home so we loaded up on what they had left. I got the last pulled pork sloppy joe sandwich, which I was so craving another when I was done. Doubt I could have ate another but hey lol. Dining room wasn't open yet as covid is still a bit of a problem on the island. Super friendly cashier/greeter, she help out those of us who couldn't decide on what to devour. A bit too much sauce/dressing on the kale salad but other than that it was bang on. I definitely recommend Smokin' George's to anyone craving some great BBQ. I will be back for sure to get my eat on. Thanks for a great meal...

Big portions if you want to fill up on fries and sides. If you're a big meat eater and don't want the filler (side dishes), you'd have to spend a fortune to have a good size meal. Shame cause the small portions of meat actually taste really good!

Ordered take out to take with me on the ferry home. The person who answered (I think it was Carter) was very friendly over the phone and when we went to pick up the food. We ordered for two people - the Feast that came with the pulled pork, sausage, pulled chicken, brisket, and ribs, which came with large fries, slaw, and corn bread. We also ordered pulled pork mac & cheese, stuffed hashbrowns, and a Bacon Nanaimo bar. Everything was delicious. The highlights were the brisket, beans and the pulled pork mac & cheese. We thought the slaw was on the vinegar-y side, which got harder to eat towards the end. I wanted to try the poutine too, but didn't order it. Good thing because we got a lot of food and had to take a break in between. Looking forward to visited again.

What a great find! Small seating area but it looks like they do a huge trade in take-out. Excellent bbq. Flavorful and juicy. The staff is fantastic. Someone popping by the table every few minutes to ask how things were and if we needed anything else. If you're in the mood for bbq, forget Montana's and check out George's. You won't be sorry.

We got a family 4 meal. It was very "meaty". We added a size of mozza sticks (only 4 little sticks) the slaw was nice, the beans were nice, the meat ???? portion was good, but the sides were lacking in quantity. Food was good.

Mixed bag. Reasonable prices and quick eats for a bbq place but the smoked chicken sandwich was subpar, not much smoke in it at all, and the bun was too far from fresh to be acceptable IMO. The deep fried dill pickles though were delicious, and the Nanaimo bars with pieces if bacon in them is the real MUST TRY. friendly staff.

Just ate here. Was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews about the value for money but found that my portion of brisket was fair. Got the 1/2lb of brisket and fries and loved it with their BBQ sauce. Brisket alone seemed slightly boring (didn't taste much smokiness) but the sauce and tenderness made it much better! Loved it and will be back. The staff are also really nice!

First time ordering- attempted to order for a group of 6 adults. Alot of meat kinda lumped in one dish- you will definitely want to get your own vegetables and salad the coleslaw was in a small cup with no dressing- the ceaser was of equal size made of kale? It was presented in a bit of a sloppy way. the meatlovers in the bunch liked it but overall I didn't think it was $100 very well spent. Only bonus was I didnt have to cook it. I'd try elsewhere next time.

Salt and seasoning is totally missing...but the over powering smoke flavour over powers everything. I found myself loading up on BBQ sauces to add flavour to dilute the smoke. Fresh and portions are good though...just needs a better seasoning or brine to the meat.

I'm always the only vegetarian in the group when we visit BBQ places, but I was surprised that they offer a roasted vegetable sandwich and other options. The deep-fried pickles were crunchy on the outside and tangy on the inside, and the sauce was very tasty. The mac 'n cheese was OK, a little salty for me, but still good. They try to source local products, and the atmosphere is friendly. My omnivore friends tell me the meats are better quality and sauces are tasty. Easy location off the #19 highway.

What a fantastic BBQ house! We tried a ton of stuff - bratwurst, pulled pork, ribs, brisket sandwich and (of course) the bacon covered Nanaimo bar. Just awesome! The standard sauce is so good I could drink it! I can't say which item was my favorite, because they were all so good, but if you nailed me down I'd have go with the Brats. I will be back and can't wait!

Enjoyed this place for the first time today! I’ve heard great things about it.. and it has been on my Must Try list since I moved to the island. I was not disappointed. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, Creamy Mac & Cheese and pulled pork poutine. It was delicious The bbq sauce was sweet and smokey the seasoned crispy onions that came with the Mac and cheese was a delicious touch. The pork for the sandwich and on the poutine was nice and tender Not only was the food amazing The service was just as great Friendly and quick and very helpful Due to COVID we wouldn’t sit inside but that didn’t Stop the workers from coming out too our car And checking if we needed anything more I am very happy and full Smokin Georges will definitely be seeing me again!

By West Coast Canadian standards, this is decent BBQ... but by real Southern standards, Smokin' George's falls far short. Clean, with a nice atmosphere, but my overall impression is that the sauces and sides overachieve while the meats underachieve: Cornbread: excellent, flavourful and moist. BBQ Sauce: really nice thin, tangy sauce... nice balance of sweet and sour, but not much heat. Very good though. Ribs: not bad, but a bit dry and chewy. Heavily sauced in an effort to improve the mediocre meat. Brisket: not terrible, as in edible, but nowhere near the potential tenderness of a good brisket. A bit dry, but definitely rubbery... usually that means not enough time in the smoker. No bark, very little smoke and flavour. Again, dressed up with lots of sauce to disguise the meat's deficiencies. Chicken: actually quite good. Smokey and tender. Nicely served on a bed of greens. Real Southern BBQ is all about the meat, with the sides taking a back seat... Smokin' George's seems to have this backwards. Until that changes, this joint will only ever be 'good'... but there is a lot of potential for improvement, so I hope they keep at it!

Only two photos to show, but this place is awesome. It's nestled in an industrial area and offers an awesome menu. The pulled pork sandwich came quick and a tall skinny bald guy came by to ensure everything was well. I remember coming when our kids were little. They didn't have a kids menu, but were willing to whip something up for them. I will be back to try a different menu option.

Consistently amazing. Have been eating here for a long time and every single time it’s fantastic. Every item I've tried, no matter how different, has the same respect given to it. The only feedback I could give was a couple years ago, I had the pulled pork mac and cheese, and the mac was under-seasoned.

Such a great experience! Went there for the first time today to celebrate 2 of our family members birthdays. Such great food! Warm family environment and so welcoming! Staff were really friendly and the environment was clean and made you feel like you were at a family barbeque. Went here with my family of six yesterday for a late lunch. We tried the fried chicken, pulled pork mac and cheese (the best!), ham and cheese sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, the porkinator sandwich, cornbread, and fries between us and had no complaints!! Delicious and did not have to wait long for the order. Would definitely come back our next time back in Nanaimo.

This was one of the best brisket sandwiches I've eaten. Subtle smoke, sauce not overpowering so the star of the show shines through, the meat, all put together on an amazing, chewy, bun which was perfect in keeping the sandwich from being soggy. Wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, even though it was a vinegar based. The slaw tasted like bagged lettuce you get from the store. It's got that plastic bag/freezer burn taste. The beans were interesting. They were excellent, but present more of a chili. Fries were so good, crispy and salty. As was the 2 piece chicken. The crunchy skin held up on a 15 minute car ride home. Service and COVID precautions were excellent for the take out. Felt safe and the place clean. Definately would go back.

Delicious food served by real people who care. Delicious, real, authentic barbecue sauce. Not for everyone (if you think Moxie's or Cactus Club cook real bbq, I am looking at you -OR- if you are the type of person that goes to an independent restaurant and claims that it is too expensive I am also looking at you). First of all i have to say I used to eat there every week. Then things changed for some reason so I stopped getting take out for my staff. Then today i went back and tried to give it another shot. I tried to pay with cash but they didnt have a float si i couldn't. Then I asked for utensils and bbq sauce, i was very clear about cause I was taking my daughter to a park. I got there to find no utensils, no sauce, no napkins and no sides. I mean its my fault cause i shouldn't trust them with such tasks but still very annoying. I NEVER leave pity reviews on google but today had to be highlighted. Two stars cause what I had to eat tasted good.

This is the best pulled pork place in town for sure, well worth the price. I really like their pulled pork poutine but their sandwiches are wicked too.... And they have some really good salad options also, although I haven't personally tried them I know many people who have and loved them. And for the staff... they're extremely welcoming, there is always someone trying their hardest to make sure you're getting the best service possible no matter how busy.

Very disappointing experience after seeing so many positive reviews. There were nearly 1/2 inch of fat on the flat part that were NOT rendered down, and the meat was very dry. One of the worst briskets I ever had, it's so bad I had to comment on this a couple of months after eaten it.

After a hard night of drinking in Vancouver and a late ferry, Smokin' George's was exactly what the doctor ordered. I got the Pig Only Plate and a local craft beer (Mount Arrowsmith Comfortably Chum). The pulled pork was moist and delicious and the ribs we're fall-off-the-bone tasty. But it was the sausage, the smoked sausage that made the meal. If I could order a mountain of those naturally wood-smoked sausages I would. After I destroyed the meat the fixin's were a nice cap and the beer was the perfect thing to wash it all down. Definitely going back!

Absolutely the BEST BBQ in Nanaimo. Portions are always big. Food is always fresh with little wait time. If you are going with a bigger group call ahead as seating can be limited during busy hours. My go to is the pulled pork poutine topped with in house made BBQ sauce...so delicious but don't have any work planned afterwords you will need a nap! Owner always comes by to check on your meal. Very friendly staff.

Decided to give a try, gotta say very disappointed, customer service is very good but the quality of food was bad, the fries were one of the worst fries I ever had they were dry and felt it it was from days ago.. even the brisket were bit on the dry side. The sauces were great.. but that fries became memorable for me.

Pros: Good atmosphere, friendly staff and well cooked meats. Cons: Sauce is definitely not to my liking, very heavy on the worcestershire sauce and the portions are small. Not a bad spot to get takeout and add your own bbq sauce to after the fact.

I was expecting amazing after all the reviews here. We got mozza sticks, tater tots, a sausage and some mac and cheese with pulled pork. The tots and mozza sticks were cold (we opened them immediately) and the rest of the food (except the pulled pork) was bland. Waste of $50, we won't be repeating.

Great location with incredible food at an affordable price! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the smell of smoking meat and the welcoming call of George, the owner. I had the 3-course appetizers, with mozza sticks, pork-filled tater tots, and the creamy mac n cheese, and my girlfriend had the crispy chicken with fries, and we were both very satisfied with our meals. 10/10 would recommend!

Tried this restaurant again last week, for the second time. The first time we tried it we were not impressed at all, nothing was fresh, it was like they were using up stuff leftover from the week. This time we both got the brisket sandwich. It was OK but sadly lacking in sauce. Personally I don't prefer tons of BBQ sauce on my pulled pork or brisket sandwiches but this one, combined with a big, not overly fresh bun, just fell short of the mark. Maybe next time, if there is one, I will try the poutine, with lots of gravy! Went back to Smokin' George's in August. Got the deep fried pickles, delicious big slabs of sour pickles in a crispy batter, dip was a little bland but OK. Also got the poutine, excellent fries and cheese curds but the gravy was just not as good as it should have been. All in all it was a great "guilty" lunch treat.

We stopped in at Smokin' George's after looking up You Gotta Eat Here. I'm pleased to say the you still gotta eat here. The owner is incredibly friendly and they serve some excellent BBQ! Incredibly tasty pulled pork poutine and beef brisket, completed by some great beans and vinegar-style coleslaw. The icing on the cake was the Bacon Nanaimo Bar - fantastic!

The mac and cheese would have been better if KD had made it and portion size was like sample sizes. No flavor to any of the dishes I had. Wasn't worth the calories into a fat man. Smokin' George's rescued our socially distanced Christmas lunch when another restaurant had kitchen issues and we had no lunch to pick-up! Luckily, we were able to place a 9-person order and pick it up in just over half an hour. Their phone order staff was amazing while the payment process and the pick-up was seamless. I had to call back for the receipt as it was missed in the box.. and they texted it to me within minutes! Amazing service ???? Everyone's order was delicious and the team loved it all. 1) you pay before you sit and before you get your food. So you also TIP before you get to judge either. 2) George is proud of his bbq sauce consisting of vinegar and Ketchup. If you like that kind of sauce then great! 3) we ordered ribs, they were overdone and tough. Mine not too bad so I ate around the burnt parts. Didn't realize my husbands were worse. We should have said something earlier. 4) Soup and beans had a very savoury flavour I didn't care for. 5) fries were very nice. Won't go back.

Consistently well prepared and cooked smoked meat. Some of the best pork ribs I've ever had, and brisket that's always melt-in-your-mouth. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We're not fussy people but appreciate good food. The baked beans were not sweet as most baked beans are. The coleslaw had barely any dressing on it, and the barbeque sauce over powered the ribs, but they were tender. I had a Chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was flavourless and not moist at all. It was a total disappointment as we were out celebrating a birthday and just wanted some good barbeque food.

A total disappointment for me. This was supposed to be a great BBQ restaurant but it doesn't have BBQ chicken breast or legs. The only meat BBQ is pulled pork or pulled chicken. I ordered a Bratwurst sausage and it came cut up and smoked.

We tried the Pulled pork and the Brisket about a year ago & enjoyed the taste of both and the fries. We felt that overall we were dissatisfied with the high price small quantity of fries & disliked the beans & coleslaw. Gave them another chance yesterday with our friends and will never go back. The Sausage on a bun had poor flavour was dry, small, sliced oddly on a tiny burger bun. The crispy chicken diner was tasty but very dry, once again fries good but beans and coleslaw inedible. The brisket was felt to be OK but nothing special. The price again seemed excessive by all of us.

Jesus Murphy this place was good! My fiance and I just kept ordering more food off of the menu, we couldn't stop. You want a baked potato that will make you want to slap other baked potatoes in the face? This is the spot for you! Staff was great, owner seemed nice. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, if I lived close by they'd need a forklift and a bigger door.

I was here once and had a pulled pork sandwich which was quite good. Not outstanding but fair value. Yesterday we were invited for lunch by our friend. He ordered a table full of food for the six of us and almost all of the meat was very poor. Dry and tasteless, which gave me indigestion afterwards. The coleslaw was shredded cabbage in vinegar that’s not coleslaw in my opinion. The beans were no better than canned beans. We’re probably not going back.

Its great having a good BBQ joint local in the north end! Their service has been great and takeout during COVID has been great. They even forgot the Nanaimo Bars and called me before I got home and gave me one extra for free for the hassle! This is one location we like to share with friends and family who visit.

First off the service was fastastic, but I wish I would have checked the reviews before going so I would have known what to expect. The coleslaw was extremely vinegary (like others have posted) and not much else I found. I'm sure they go that way because of the sweetness of the bbq sauce but it is definitely not my preference. I paid for the side and could only have a few bites. I also got the brisket sandwich and thought the portion was very small for the price. The brisket was delicious, but for $11 all you get is warm meat with bbq sauce on a dry bun. The meat was delicious though. The service was fantastic and hospitable (although the place was freezing cold) so I will probably give it another shot and try one of their other great looking menu items.

I love BBQ. I make it my mission to find the local BBQ joint in every town I go to. The service was excellent, very warm and welcoming. The restaurant had a welcoming vibe to it, and I really hoped the food would reflect on all that. While the brisket was okay, it is often the sauce selection that really makes it great. There are only a couple sauces offered, both of which taste nearly the same. It seems that the owner really wanted to push his branded sauces. Being a guy who loves fried chicken, I decided to grab a leg to try. Was very disappointed by completely overcooked and very boringly breaded fried chicken. I felt disappointed by Smokin' George's. I was really hoping to find a real, southern BBQ place to enjoy in town.

I don't care for the gravy, but the BBQ sauce is awesome and the meat is beautifully prepared. I have never eaten in, but it's always packed when i pick up my orders.

This place has become a regular spot for my family and I. The food is always delicious and like other have said it is a bit expensive but well worth the price. I highly recommend their Pulled Pork Baked Potato, a full meal for most for under $10. The smell when you walk in is amazing and the food is quickly prepared, I've never had to wait longer then 15 minutes. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Some of them can even remember our regular order. I'm pretty sure the owner George is there 24/7 as I haven't been there once without seeing him. He always welcomes every customer who walks in which is a nice personal touch! In case I haven't been clear I very much recommend this place :)

So disappointed after drooling many times at the website. Had a combo plate thinking there's be some to take home -- nope. Barbecue sauce is good with perhaps a bit too much vinegar. Cornbread is great. Beans were good but pretty spicy. I couldn't tell the chicken had been barbecued, and there was some sort of cream [or similar] sauce and dill pickles on top of it. They did not belong. The pulled pork was fine. There was also some coleslaw -- the dressing seemed to be just vinegar. With spicy food, a creamy dressing would have been way better on the cole slaw [I think they put it on the chicken by mistake]. Neither I nor my friend had our coleslaw. It's a friendly pleasant place but today it didn't live up to the hype. Also, address is Mostar but you have to turn onto Boban.

Came here from the Mainland after looking up spots on You Gotta Eat Here - definitely not disappointed! At first glance, it seems odd being in an industrial building, but once inside, you’re pleasantly surprised. From the moment you walk in, the smells are amazing. Smoky bbq in the air, and the food comes out fast. Such good food, and even better service. Multiple staff check to make sure you’re good through your meal, including George himself. It’s a place where you can tell they care. We’d definitely eat here again, without doubt.

First time going there was last week. Have always wanted to try it. Porti9ns were a lot smaller than I expected for the money however it was nice to support a small local business I'd always wanted to try. I got their combo dish which comes with 2 choices of meat, beans and I think coleslaw but I said to exclude both beans and slaw as I they're not things I enjoy. I probably should have asked for fries to be substituted but wasn't sure if they'd do that. Maybe something for the owner to consider offering for picky eaters like myself. The meat was tasty though and I'd go back again but order something different. Oh, the also have an interesting take on the Nanaimo bar. They do theirs without a coconut chocolate base... its pretzels, chocolate and maple syrup and there is maple bacon crumbled on top.

As you are eating I have yet to have a staff member ask "How is your meal?" And one time my wife ordered an extra piece of chicken (she was not charged for it but she did ask.... so when....) she received 2 pieces instead of 3 she was all Awwww :( but the staff said sorry and tossed another piece in right away. Then I realized I only payed for my meal and hers ( no extra chicken) they refused to take my money that is my consistnet experience at Smoking Georges.

Went to a Dinning on the Dock last night at the Ladysmith Maritime Society. A perfect venue for a nice evening on the waterfront. Smokin George's catered the event. I was very disappointed, the food was mediocre at best, $20.00 for a serving spoon of Jambalaya (seemed like rice with very little else) and bagged salad. The woman serving seemed mad at the world and was rude to a member of our group. I had something to eat when I got home.

Having sampled lots of BBQ in many southern states, I have to say that Smokin’ Georges is some of the best BBQ I have ever tasted. And the sides are not just there to fill the plate as they so often are. Smokin’ Georges sides did not take a back seat to the tasty BBQ meats. They made sure that EVERY bite on my plate was so good that I decide which of the delectable flavours should be saved for my last bite. We are only in Nanaimo for a few months bur will make this a weekly treat while here. Very casual dining. You order and pay at the front and your food is served to you. The staff is vern pleasant and accommodating. George himself stopped by our table to ask if we were pleased. We assured him we were.

4.6 stars? Am i eating at the same restaurant? I had really high hopes due to the high reviews. Ordered the ribs and brisket. Brisket was bland and the meaty part was dry. Ribs was dry as well. It doesnt taste like they were smoked. Even if they did, they need more time as the rub did not penetrate the meat and the fat wasnt rendered. The most disappointing of all, a watered down bbq sauce. Bbq sauce was runny, lack of flavor, and sour. Did I come on a bad day? I cant imagine a glowing review from the food that I ate!?!?!?!

We had the BBQ platter for 2 and it is definitely for more than 2 people if they were to eat all the sides. There were more sides than the BBQ itself. Unfortunately, it was too much for 2 people to eat a whole box of fries and containers of beans and coleslaw. The BBQ itself was a good size for 2 people. Everything was delicious except for the sausage which was rather bland. The coleslaw was a sour version which is not what I'm used to and the beans tasted like a vegetable soup. Wasn't sure what to make of them. The fries were good.

Tried the regular poutine and was extremely disappointed. Wendy’s has a better poutine. That being said, Costco poutine is worlds beyond this one.

I tried the pulled chicken and brisket, both of which were sooo tender and perfect tasting. I really enjoyed the sauce on the chicken as well as the very rich and smoky BBQ sauce. The meat was not greasy at all and I didn't feel gross and bloated after eating the meal, which was a huge bonus.

The smoked brisket sandwich was incredibly tasty as well as the pulled pork mac & cheese With crispy onions on top. It’s a takeout joint in an industrial area with some of the best barbeque I’ve ever had in my life. The staff were super efficient. The beans were also very yummy and not too sweet.

Pulled pork poutine the amount of fries was very small compared to the amount of fries you used to get when they first opened as well the SMALL amount of pulled pork was hardly worth $13 They also have an electronic coupon for a free beverage but it's only good with a sandwich not a pulled pork poutine or a full meal if you're a frequent customer the drink should be allowed to be used for any food purchase not just a sandwich

My wife and I visited Smokin Georges BBQ on Sept 12 2016. After reading some Google reviews, we wanted to try. My wife ordered Half Rack Ribs and I ordered Combo Plate. We did not like the ribs and brisket. They were dry. Pretty sure other people like dry ribs but not us. Not trying to be mean or something. The Chef did come out and offered us a replacement but we were in hurry and my kids were tired so we had to go. Maybe next time

After months of driving by when in town, and feeling the hype, I finally went in to try it. I had a sampler of items with ribs, fries, pulled pork and brisket. I have to say I was quite disappointed. The ribs came with bbq sauce, which I thought wouldn't to maintain the dry rub flavors, and the sauce and flavors weren't that great. The pulled pork was ok and the brisket was dry and tough. Perhaps I went in on an off day? The fries and coleslaw were the best part. To top it off the value wasn't that great. It was expensive for what we got.

Smokin george's is ah-mazing! The smoked sausage..I dream of it. Only hitch was they forgot the smoked sausage and the corn bread in our order. But one of the staff came running out in the rain and chased us down to give us the sausage. We didn't realize the corn bread was missed till we got home, but they're so accommodating when we let them know what happened they offered us extra corn bread in our next order!

The brisket and mac and cheese were fantastic! The fried chicken on the other hand was almost laughably bad, two small pieces of chicken that seemed to have zero seasoning, breading or flavour. But the other stuff was good so still worth it

Should have tried the pulled pork according to these reviews . I had the beef sandwich and it was literally 70 percent fat and the meat was close to cold . The fries were not cold but far from hot . The owner came by three times asking how the food was and once to separate our table into two so others could be seated , there wasn't enough room so when the person tried squeezing between tables to get to his seat his jacket went right through my food leaving sauce over his jacket and a very uncomfortable remaining stay . Saw some people eating poutine with pulled pork it looked good . Stay away from beef brisket if you don't want a little beef with your fat sandwich.

I went by myself for dinner midweek. It is located in a commercial mall on the outskirts of town . Lots of parking . Not a great ambience . Very barren . Sterile . Staff was nice . I thought the brisket was x bit tough and the sauce too vinegary . Chips were good . Tiny serving of slaw with no dressing . So not great . Price a bit high given the surroundings and the food . I doubt I will go back .

I have been to a few smoke houses now and smokin Georges was good but I have a had better. There isnt much flavor to there coslaw its just a vinegar sauce and the beans is actually chilli. I had there brosket and was super dry and they just poor gravy or bbq sauce on it.althoughit was dry it was still very tasty.

We ordered the Supersized BBQ Feast for take out. I was salivating the entire drive back as the food smelled so delicious! The quality & flavors were second to none! Every one of the dishes were excellent with the brisket standing out the most for me. In addition to the excellent quality of the meal or was also a very good value!

They forgot to give me my receipt. The crispy chicken was so dry it was borderline unedible. The ribs however were to die for! The slaw is a vinegar based dressing... not my thing. Would have liked an option for a creamy dressing.

Just ate here for the first time. Driving away now, recovering from an ecstatic 10 round fight with BBQ pork, beef, sausage, cornbread, and kale Caesar that’s so good I went cross-eyed. If there was a way to give this restaurant 7 stars, I would still fight harder to give it 8. I’ve called Google to make an exception, but they have caller ID and will no longer take my calls. I’m hiring a virtual assistant to start sending them daily letters instead. Best BBQ I’ve ever had, friendliest staff this side of Campbell river, and more masks than an ER room.

My co-worker brought me here; I just moved here. I can't express how friendly the staff is, a very personable woman helped our table!! And the food. Phenomenal. I had chicken and it came with delicious goodies, like coleslaw. This restaurant clearly cares about their prep and the people who walk through their door. I will definitely return.

I ordered from here the first time yesterday. I didn't enjoy it at all. My 9 year old son couldn't eat it either, and my wife wound up going to McDonald's instead. There was no flavour other than charcoal and propane fumes. I could roll a sausage in ash from the bottom of my fireplace and it would taste almost the same. The chicken was gross, the sausage tasted like the bottom of a fireplace and the ribs were lame, and everything was generally not worth the almost $50 I spent on a meal. I won't go back. Ever.
