The food is why you come. It's going to be busy and there isn't much room to sit but the chicken and poutine are both amazing. The chicken is juicy and the poutine portion is particular is quite big. Everything was delicious!!

Saw this place on Netflix and had to try it out. The service was fast and moved the way chicken was prepared. Got #4 and the quantity of food was great. Would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out.

Totally worth lining up for 30 minutes in the chilly montreal winter to get food from here. We tried the chicken and fries, the sandwich, the poutine, the calamari and the chorizo. They were all amazingly good. Portions are massive. Be careful. A large poutine could feed a family of 4 and they are loaded with chicken and chorizo. A box of natas is a must. We tried the almonds Amandines too.

The chorizo!!!! Omg!!! I visited this place for the first time and bought the half chicken which came with salad and fries and the full chorizo with two spicy sauces. Everything came for $25. The chicken was juicy but not great. It didn't have any sauce over it like the pictures on Yelp showed but whatever. The chorizo is the bomb and u should totally buy just that or buy the chicken but u definitely need the spicy sauce with it. The girls taking the orders are pretty quick and don't spend time explaining anything but the girl (Latino looking with the winged) was so sweet and explained to me what I wanted to know (the difference between the whole chicken and half). I'm definitely coming back but just for the full chorizo cuz I grill better chicken in my patio for sure!

Terrible. Bones throughout my large poutine.I didn't want to be the guy to leave a bad review so I brought it to their attention. Was refused a refund because I "already ate it" even though there was 2/3 left. They offered to give me a new small poutine to take home. So a downgraded replacement..

First time trying this place and I was really impressed. Super flavourful and moist chicken, delicious spicy fries and amazing rice made it a meal to remember. If they only had those Portugese style round potatoes would be next level. The salad was fresh and the hot sauce was amazing. The dessert rack looked awesome too and the custard tarts were the best I’ve tried anywhere as they got the shell and custard recipe down to a T. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone as I’m sure to come back here again when I visit ????????

Despite the long line up, this is definitely a stop we make in our Montreal trip. Besides the obvious amazingly delicious Portugese chicken, we also like their poutine. It is not like the regular ones as they add sausages and chicken in it. The poutine is a definite must try and try to go before 12 to skip the lunch rush or before 5 to beat the crowd. If you aren't from Montreal you can buy the sauce to bring home. We like to eat it with Costco chicken.

Decent spot for a local juicy chicken. But not recommended for tourists. Full Portion of salad is huge. Half portion combo is not recommended since it’s much less than half the full portion. Nothing too special. AND THEY DON’t HAVE SQUIDs any more.

The chicken literally melts in your mouth. So tender and juicy!!! The chicken sandwich was well seasoned, the juicy chicken with garlic bread, I have no other words to describe it besides perfect! Definitely recommend trying their sandwich and the poutine! I am very picky when it comes to how I like my chicken cooked, and this place has impressed me with their chicken. Try this place, you will not be disappointed.

Very tasty food and a great value. Other than the chorizo, which was not amazing, we loved everything we tried. The family voted for the grilled-chicken poutine as the winning dish. For $14 you get a mountain of fries topped with grilled chicken, cheese curds and yummy gravy.

I’ll go as far as saying this is one of the best chicken places in Canada. Expect a line up but it usually goes quick. The chicken and rice with a salad is a must have. However, this time I decided to order the chicken poutine and I was not disappointed at all. The gravy was fresh and light, chicken was seasoned very well, extremely supple and tender.

Make sure to order their poutine and whole chicken. Also buy their own sauce that is next to the cashier. They also have great pastries, my fave is the the portuguese tarts. The place is small and the lines are always long but its worth it. Dining area is limited so we usually just make it to go. The service is spectacular. We're definitely going to come back again. :)

Consistent taste at every visit. It’s delicious! Pricing/portion ratio is very good. No surprises or disappointment. Fast staff with a friendly attitude. The line outside looks like it will be a long wait but it moves fast and it worth the wait.

Poutine and chicken was delicious, a bit on the salty side but I personally find that about Montreal food in general.(because it is pub food) but my gosh fantastic chicken and poutine is awesome. During covid bring it to the park nearby and bring some wet wipes. You'll need it.

I’m a big fan of poutine and I’m very picky when it comes to finding great poutine. Well let me tell you that this is by far one of the best poutines I’ve ever had. . This is fusion food at its finest. This poutine is a combination of a traditional poutine from Quebec and Portuguese roasted chicken and chorizo. Absolutely insane. The cheese they used is called São Jorge and surprisingly, I’d say it’s even better than regular cheese curds since it has the same mouth feel and texture, it’s has the right “squish-squish”, it pulls like crazy and but it’s more flavourful. . Everything about this poutine is to die for. Tasty fries, amazing cheese, delicious gravy (not to salty), fresh chicken and the chorizo is perfect (not to spicy nor fatty). Also they don’t skimp on the toppings and the prices are so low for the humongous portions, worth EVERYTHING.

Delicious food. It's a pretty fast paced place- We barely had time to look at the menu prior to ordering. Definitely a good idea have a look online beforehand if you are someone who likes to take time to decide! All of the food was prepared quickly, almost cafeteria style complete with trays. I had the petite poutine and it's enough for two meals. Obviously the Portugese egg tarts were also ordered (and amazing). I wish we had ordered more to take home! Friends got the half chicken and the sandwich and both enjoyed. Would definitely like to come back and try more items.

Quite good! I came here for their signature spicy Portuguese grilled chicken and it was delicious and reasonably priced. One whole chicken (no sides or drinks) cost $17 before tax. The dark meat was so juicy and tender. However the white meat was a bit dry. The flavours seem to be mostly comprised of paprika, cayenne, and a hefty amount of salt, so I wouldn't eat this every day. The Portugese egg tart was also heavenly! Worth stopping by!

Great poutine until you find the new topping - human hair. Not one, but two hidden inside the juicy grilled chicken pieces. When confronted, the guy in the front says its not hair but basting brush bristles. Please tell me when those became edible? Absolutely unapologetic. Wasted one hour for parking and waiting in line just to be disappointed. Will recommend if you want to find disgusting stuff popping from your food.

Direct translation: my wet chicken. Also means my wimp, sissy? Well, there’s nothing wimpy here. In fact very solid food and one of the best tasting Portuguese chicken that will satisfy that hungry hungry hippo feeling you get. Portions are huge, generous. Especially the fries. I repeat lots of fries. Sure, there’s always a lineup but wait time is almost irrelevant for awesome food. Actually, it’s fairly fast. Reasonable priced too. Well done.

July 2021 awesome price to portions. The chicken is tender and almost fall off the bone, though the squid was just as good. Lots of fries. Like a lot. Peri peri sauce is good. Had take out and the package was at least 5lbs for 1/2 chicken and squid. Squid was surprisingly tender given this restaurant isn't well known for squid, rather chicken. Located beside a police station. Not much parking nearby.

I came here for dinner recently and got Number 8: Bon, Les Portugais Font De La Poutine, Petit. The rotisserie chicken in the poutine was excellent. It had nice flavour, quality bits and pieces of chicken, good fries, gravy, and cheese, and everything was good together. It was also an extremely high value meal as it only cost $11 and I only finished ~half in one meal.

As you walk into Ma Poule Mouillé, the heavenly smell of the roasted chickens will make your stomach growls of hunger. The juicyness and the spicyness of the portugese sauce will make you want to devourer the entire chicken in one bite. Even as I finish the entire chicken, I can’t control myself but to lick the plate. And dont forget the buns. Put a chicken leg in between the buns and you got yourself a beautiful chicken sandwich. For christmas, I wish for more Ma Poule Mouillé locations cuz all the trips to plateau is costing too much gaz.

Unreal poutine, a must try. This place is a Portuguese restaurant specialized in Chicken but they offre this humongous poutine for only 15$ tax in (photo). They have two size =11$ and L=15$. The chicken is very tender, melt in your mouth and the chorizo is full of flavour. Their spicy sauce is sooo delicious. The service is very fast, the only issue is that it's a small place and packed most of the time. Their menu is full of good items, the price is very cheap for the large portion you get. Strongly recommended

An interesting Portuguese spin on poutine with a variety of meat. Tried the signature Bon Les Portugais font de la poutine. Personally found the poutine to be a bit too salty as the dish was overpowered by the sausages saltiness. The only redeeming factor of this particular dish was the tender chicken.

God, this place was so good. It took me a wee while to figure out what to order, but that's the thing - everything looked fantastic. I got the half chicken and the fries. The portion was massive and I could've easily gotten two meals out of it. Go with someone or when you're just the right amount of hungry (or both). Stunning good, wicked flavours, and hearty portions - just go, friend. You don't need to think this through.
